A very beautiful experience. One should not miss such opportunities. I took over Jamal Rum Camp. Very friendly staff and prompt response. The food was excellent especially the grilled chicken which was cooked under the earth on desert sand. The jeep trekking was excellent. The rum balloon camp was excellent room for nice bed and toilets.

This place is outstanding. Arrange a day tour with a local guide. Try and get a vehicle that has a canopy. You will be exposed to the sun all day and you will thank me for the shade. On the tour you will see many of the well known sights. If you are fortunate, the guide will take you to see ancient cave art. All in all, a must if visiting Jordan.

I don't know how I can explain how much I'm falling in love with this desert. Everywhere is really amazing and can feel a live, I enjoy every second minute everywhere I move, one time in a life you must visit here and I prefer to come back here again

An adventure like no other, a mystical place for all who are in Jordan this destination is a must. If you come diving this place is great for a nice surface interval or the last day before a flight trip. Desert areas are full of animals and surprises on every corner, and sunset is a must.

Wadi Rum is a fantastic place where there are charming golden sands, rocks and huge mountains. It is said that its nature resembles Mars, but Wadi Rum remains the more beautiful. There are wonderful and very generous Bedouins. You can spend there a good time in the bubble hotel. Note (do not forget to watch the sunset)

It's a beautiful desert. It's a protected area. Beautiful nature. Beautiful sunsets. Cold and warm breezes make you feel so calm. You have to book a camp in this desert. It's the camp's responsibility for your transportation, food and safety. It's a must visit place in Jordan. But I have a request to the government authority to look at the plastic pollution it is causing to the desert.

Very unique, almost otherworldly, especially given that the movies the Martian and Star Wars were both filmed in Wadi Rum. The same is very fine and blows easily, consider a neck gator to ensure you can just see the same versus breathe the sand. Landscapes, rocks, sand, and bedouins make this a very unusual and amazing place.

Our overnight journey to Wadi Rum with Nomad was truly something special, largely thanks to our wonderful guide, Mohammad. Amidst the otherworldly beauty of the desert, every dune and star seemed to tell a story. Navigating the entrance fee of 7 JOD for foreigners or those without a Jordan Pass felt like a small price to pay for the adventure that awaited. Wadi Rum, with its vast landscapes and towering cliffs, unfolded like a cinematic panorama. Yet, what set this trip apart was the unexpected twist. One night, my friend lost his phone in the desert during a high-speed drive back to camp. Mohammad, with a mix of determination and optimism, suggested we try to find it—a task that felt impossible. However, against the odds, after 8 suspenseful minutes of driving in complete darkness, we miraculously recovered the lost phone. It was a moment that added an unexpected chapter to our Wadi Rum story. Throughout our desert odyssey, Bedouins extended their warm hospitality, offering tea that became more than a beverage—it became a symbol of connection and shared experiences. Wadi Rum is an experience that etches itself into your memory. The silence of the desert, the camaraderie forged under the stars, and the sheer grandeur of the landscape make it a journey worth undertaking. For anyone venturing to Jordan, Wadi Rum isn't just a destination; it's a must-have experience that encapsulates the essence of this mesmerizing country.

I spent here 14 days, this place will be definitely in my heart! My second home, I cant wait to go back again! When you arrive, you can leave your car on the parking next to the Rest House and then you can just check the village. There is not much to do, but the local people are very kind and you can get a great coffee in the restaurant near to the parking. Then you can head to the desert of Wadi Rum for incredible night in the camp or for a jeep tour. 1 day here is not enough to absorb the atmosphere and enjoy the simple life without stress.

Loved to every second of the time I spend at the wadi. It was a great experience for me. Feeling the nature, listening the silence of the hills... Also, nights are so fascinating! It is like all the stars and planets are surround you...

What a great experience. Honestly book with a guide and also try to stay in one of the pods overnight for a mind blowing experience. We actually just drove in paid about $5 or so to get in then made a deal with a driver to take us to some of the key locations. Well worth the $40 we paid for 2 people.

The place it’s very nice, peaceful and diferent. The desert are crowded of 4x4 car carrying tourists around the desert but it’s quite quiet at night. Actually I was hoped more about this place but it’s only a opinion, the desert is original and I think you have to see and take your own opinion and experience. Maybe my expectations were very high and perhaps that was my problem.

What a cool place! Doing a desert safari in Wadi Rum is definitely recommended. Also we slept one night in a camp side in the desert which was a great experience as well.

This is my first experience in a true sandy dessert. It was impressive with its redish landscape, looking like the Mars terrain. Our tour included the ancient rock carvings, climbing a sand dune to see the surrounding area, and Lawrance of Arabia's hiding area. The accommodation we had was great complete with dinner and breakfast. The staff were also very friendly and obliging.

Beautiful landscape of granite and sandstone. Amazing to be here and see the beauty of the land. We went around Wadi Rum via truck and saw all the main points of interest as well as a few view points to see. I see why a lot of the movies use this as a place to film, definitely looks like Mars. Amazing place, nice camps to stay at and you don’t get bothered too much which is really nice as well. I definitely recommend checking this place out!

Wadi rum is an amazing desert! We came during winter and it was very warm during the day - but pack some warm clothes for the night. We were also luck enough to catch some rain while we were there. You can go out for a camel ride or hike some nice spots. Just be careful, that your trip doesn’t get too touristy.

Beautiful view of the desert after you scrambled up the mountain! Wear good grip shoes/sandals, take water with you. First stop of the jeep tour from the village so pretty crowded at the base. On the way back to the village, we stopped here again to take a 1/2h camel ride (5jd/per) back to the village. Highly recommend the camel ride, super fun experience and just a right amount of time. The camels are cute and seem to be well-looked after!

The view from up there is very beautiful, but I don't recommend climbing all the way up. The spring is very small and not interesting. The mountain itself isn't very easy to climb, need to be very careful.

It was challenging with the heat! You have to climb the rocks which is really challenging at some point, the hike varies between medium and hard. There’s nothing special about the spring but the view of the desert is breathtaking. Nice experience

In all honesty a bit disappointing. The scramble yo is kind of fun and it's a nice view (but so is the view from many other places) but the 'spring' itself is an uninspiring puddle of green water. Bit of a tourist attraction close where everyone goes because it's close to Wadi Rum village rather than a must see site in its own right

A worth experience in the desert. You have to climb the rocks till there but that's the fun of it.

The climb to the spring is not an easy one but depends on your own fitness and what time/ season you visit. Take water with you in all conditions. Enjoy the view from the spring down to the camp.

Nice views from the spring which itself is just unattractive small water hole. The climb is not easy and descent even more difficult due to big rocks. Take it easy and slow!

The way up and down to the spring is not done trough a single path. You can start from any point and make your way up to the top as you see fit. It is under the sun at all time so plan to take water. It is a rather short climb though steep of about 15 mins. We could easily manage the climb with an 11, 13 and 15 years old. On the top you’ll find a very small spring that resembles a pond and that the Bedouin have tap into to bring water down the valley for the animals.

Beautiful views, short hike up from the foot of the hill over rocky terrain (avoiding the piping!). There's also a rock at the base with petroglyphs for extra perusal.

Most jeep tours end here. I didn't think it was worth climbing up and I'm glad I didn't. If you do, I suggest you do so very early.

Check the rock with the ancient writings, climb up the mountain (take water). The view is insanely beautiful! Then enjoy Bedouin tea when you get down. This is a regular stop for all tours - Jeep or camel, so later in the morning can become pretty crowded. Highly recommend doing it though! One of the highlights of our tour!

Make sure you do a multi day visit to wadi rum because this site and the other ocuple ones close to the village are innundated with tourists and not all that much fun. If you can get to the back of the desert you can have similar places all to yourself.

If you are planning to go to Wadi Rum, please don’t choose the Wadi Rum Safari Camp Rooms are not clean, plenty of dust and very tired A/C does not work until 8pm when you really don’t need because they want to save energy When you book they did not alert that you should pay 30JOD (around 39 euros) for the transfer from the official entrance of the desert to the camp. No one help us with the luggage from and to the room I can’t give any good word except for the location, indeed in the desert that is beautiful

If you are looking for a perfect and authentic place to explore Wadi Rum, this is it! Salem and his family are so kind and helpful, and made our short stay really perfect. Salem is a really great host, always ready to help and easy to communicate. We had a really short time for exploring the desert, but they managed to fit all of our plans. The camp is on a great location, paceful and quiet, in the evening we were all sitting by the fire with a delicious sage tea. The dinner was amazing, traditional food, really tasty (there was a lot of options even for our vegetarian friend). The tent was spacious with enough blankets. The bathroom was really clean, with hot water and always filled with toiletries. Waking up in a desert was a really beautiful experience, followed by a tasty…

We stayed at the camp for one night, and took the sunset tour. The host was very welcoming and made us feel at home in the camp. We had a nice Zarb dinner and the breakfast was decent too. Highly recommended.

Attractive although short canyon. There are some petroglyphs on the walls. It is worth to walk inside, but sometimes difficult due to water. Luckily water is not deep ...

It’s a small lovely canyon. One of the must see spot in Wādī Desert 🌵 The importance of it Is on the canyons inner walls that are covered with numerous Nabatean, Islamic (Kufic) and Thamudic inscriptions and petroglyph rock drawings. One of the best experiences of Jordan! The camp is amazing, very well located in the desert. The room is huge with comfortable beds and lots of blankets so it was warm. We had dinner, they cooked in an oven buried under the ground and covered with sand, this was wild! They served an open buffet with variety of salads, hot and cold appetizers, rice, chicken, vegetables… We also had an open buffet breakfast with a lot of options too. The owner Ibrahim and other local guys are just lovely and generous people. We played games at night by the fire after dinner and had a lot of fun! In the morning, we went to see the sunrise which is something special in this desert! Afterwards we had a jeep tour which is the favorite part of our trip!!! Sitting on the back of the jeep was extra fun! It was just amazing, can’t wait to come back one day! Faith (Turkey)

I enjoyed my two nights here. You will be amazed by the scenery from the camp and the food they cook is excellent. The best part of the experience is when they make tea by the fire and you hear all the stories from the locals and talk with them throughout the night.

We had a really nice stay in the fire camp for 3 nights. Audi was a perfect guide and we loved the tours (full day jeep & walking tours) with him! The tends are clean, there are showers with hot water during the day and they all try to make sure, you have a nice stay in the camp. Definitely recommended :)

We had a great time. They took very good care of their guests. The tents are basic and clean. The common bathrooms and toilets are well maintained and clean. The jeep ride was a great experience. Dinner and breakfast was also good. Post dinner they jammed with some singing and dancing. We were thoroughly entertained.

I had a great time at Wadi Rum Fire Camp! My guide Yusaf showed me around all the desert, was super accommodating of all my requests and spoke great English. We exchanged stories at the fire pit at night and I ended up sleeping outside (freezing)! I also had the lucky chance of helping move a Bedouin tent and try local Bedouin bread mixed with yoghurt and locally made goat's ghee! Will come back for sure!

Unforgettable experience in the desert. After the tour where we enjoyed some amazing landscapes, a lunch in the middle of the desert and a stunning sunset, we slept in a tent. Bring with you heavy clothes to sleep in the desert. The staff is very lovely and welcoming. We enjoyed an amazing traditional dinner with a lot of beduin tea and deep conversations under the stars and in front of a camp fire. Very recommended experience

I can express with words the beauty of this place. The staff has been amazing, kind and available to satisfy any of our requests. The food was delicious and abundant and, to my surprise, there were plenty of vegetarian/vegan options. The bathrooms were extremely clean, as the rooms. We had a wonderful stay at the Fire Camp. Mahmoud was a great guide! The booking and pick up process was smooth. We actually arrived earlier than planned and it was no problem at all. The camp is very nice, with clean bathroom facilities including hot water (the water in the shower here was actually warmer than in a 5* resort we stayed in at the Dead Sea..). Food was delicious and as you have no wifi or mobile signal, it gives you a chance to talk to other people and enjoy the desert atmosphere. Tea around the bonfire is not to be missed!

We travelled as a family of 4 with 2 teenagers, our host was Ibrahim and our tour guide was Salem. Like most of the Jordanians we met on our holiday, Ibrahim was friendly, polite and very helpful. The accomadation was comfortable, got a great night sleep and woke up to an amazing view of the rock formations in the desert. The tour was excellent, covering the main attractions and ending in a beautiful sunset view. Our driver Salem was informative and a gentle driver. The food was good and plenty. One of the highlights of visiting Jordan was to visit Wadi Rum! The desert is so beautiful and peaceful. Staying in the Fire Camp was great, everyone is extremely nice and welcoming. The camp is comfortable, we did the day tour with Salem who was super nice and funny, and we slept there. My personal highlight was an additional activity we have asked for: watching the sunrise on camels. It was a exceptional moment, drinking tea in the middle of the desert a 7am (you have to pay a little more for this, and there isn't many camels so it's very limited, but if you can do it, I recommend!)

Absolutely great experience here. Communication before hand was good and in great English (the website is very very clear as well). Easy and efficient pickup from the main parking lot. Camp itself is in a great location far away from the village, other camps, and lights. Rooms are basic, but large and comfortable. Hot water, charging points available. Very friendly staff and guides (varying levels of English) and amazing dinners. We did a 2 night 3 day trip of Jeep, Hike (not really a hike, more like a jeep tour with walking but you still explore an entirely new area of the Wadi with no tourists) and camel ride out for a really great price. I have no hesitations recommending this to anyone.

I booked the full day jeep tour with overnight stay at Wadi Rum Fire camp. If you are coming to the camp from Petra via the mini shuttle bus, the bus conductor knows the camp and will know where to drop you off. You will first need to get off at the visitor's centre to buy the entrance ticket to Wadi Rum or if you have already bought the Jordan pass, you will need to get it scanned/checked before re-boarding the bus. Thereafter, the bus will continue to the village where it will drop you off at the rest house. From the rest house, just give the Wadi Rum Fire camp driver a text/call if he hasn't arrived and he will pick you up to drive you to the camp. No problems if you are carrying luggage as they will deliver the luggage from the village house to the camp for you at no extra charge. I made reservations directly with the camp over email and it was a fuss-free experience. They only required my name, contact details, etc., and did not require any pre-payment which was great. They were also very responsive over email, replying sometimes within hours to a query being asked. I was a solo traveler and based on my search, this was one of the cheapest I could find and they did not impose additional charges for solo travelers! As promised over the email, I was given a spacious private tent (with 4 single beds) to myself without extra charges. The jeep tour itself was done with 3 other travelers which was just nice; private enough yet providing a chance to meet other travelers. The views at Wadi Rum were amazing and the experience of sleeping in tents in the desert was truly unique. Most of the points of attraction required some form of climbing so a good pair of shoes would definitely help. In terms of camp facilities, they are pretty basic but you will enjoy an authentic experience. There is 1 power socket in the room, a ceiling lamp, windows and beds with bed sheets and thick blankets. The large common toilets are well-lit and there are ample cubicles and hot showers (all powered by solar energy). Overall, the camp provided an authentic and comfortable experience.
