Jai Mata Di ❣️🚩 Mata Vaishno Devi Mandir (bhawan) is one of the best holiest places in India. The mandir is too high from the Katra and has approx 15 km. Total Yatra or Journey of Holy 'Shree Vaishnav Mata Ji' and 'Shree Bhairav Baba Ji' takes around 12 to 15 hrs. It is very well-managed and beautifully oraganised by the Katra shrine board. Clean toilets along the way, several food stalls, drinking water points for every traveler, many benches to sit and rest all way. Entire trek was very beautiful and 90% shaded. its a life time experience to visit here. After mataji darshan we took rope way to reach bhairav baba temple, whose price is Rs 100 per person. bhairav baba mandir balcony is the great place to take photos/selfie.

We have visited earlier also for Mata Rani Darshan. But this time we got special Darshan. Mata Rani ki kripa Bahut hai. Within 3 hours we came back to Helipad. Arrangements were so good. Queues were not too Big. For people who travelled via Helicopter and same day return, VIP PASS issued from Helipad Counter. We need to remember that we must have to return with in time mentioned on VIP SLIP. We need to enter from Gate No 5 to avoid long queues which is clearly mentioned on Slip. We can take Prasad from local shop and put all our bags there to save time.

'Jai Mata Di' its a life time experience to visit here. Total Darshan / Yatra / Journey of Holy 'Shree Vaishnav Mata Ji' and 'Shree Bhairav Baba Ji' takes around 12 to 18 hrs depending upon number of people in the group your are traveling. Like if you are with all member of family in which father and mother of age 50 - 60 then it will go more than 12 hrs but if you are in friend circle group launde wale then 12 hrs is more than sufficient to complete whole journey. One of the best picnic points in Jammu. Local people also used to visit the park for day outing. The park is big and well maintained and cleaned. There are some limited food points. Lot of open area for children’s and you find some slides too. The best attractive place is center of park which has crown shaped fountain and stairs in background. People used to visit center but believe me there are good place to send and enjoy behind park. Lots of selfie points created all around the park. The entry ticket is only 10 rs per head.

The Bahu Fort is a historic fort in the city of Jammu, Jammu and Kashmir. Constructed on the banks on Tawi River, the ancient fort is believed to be constructed by Rajput Raja Bahulochan around 3,000 years ago. It is believed that the first renovation of this fort was undertaken during Dogra Rule in 18th century.The fort is a religious place, and within its precincts has a temple dedicated to the Hindu goddess Kali. The temple is known locally as the "Bawe Wali Mata temple".The building of the city of Jammu and the Bahu Fort  are linked to a legend. Raja Jambu Lochan, when on a hunting trip, witnessed a curious scene of a tiger and a goat drinking water side by side at the same location in the Tawi River, without the tiger attacking. The Raja considered this a divine direction to establish his new capital here, as the scene he witnessed at this site represented peaceful coexistence. His brother, Bahu Lochan, is credited with building the fort. The fort is located on a high plateau land overlooking the Tawi River on its rocky left bank with an average elevation of 325m. The forest area that surrounds the fort has been developed into a well laid out park called the "Bagh-e-Bahu", from where a commanding view of the city of Jammu could be seen. The garden attracts a large number of visitors.[1] The fort, the temple, and the Bagh-e-Bahu garden are located 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) from the Jammu city centre.The city road to Surinsar was widened for providing approach to an Oil drilling exploration project. However, this project was shelved and consequently the widened new road provided better access to the fort and the temple, and the number of visitors to these places has since increased. The fort structure is located at an elevation of 325 metres (1,066 ft), opposite to the old town of Jammu. The fortified structure has thick walls made of sandstones built with lime and brick mortar. It has eight octagonal towers or turrets connected by thick walls. The towers have enclosures to house guards. The main entry is fit to allow passage of elephants into the fort. A water tank with access for pilgrims to take bath is located on the left entry into the fort. This tank or pond is 6.1× in size and has a water depth of 4.6 metres (15 ft). A pyramidal structure is on the right flank (with very thick walls to withstand any gun attack) of the fort was an ammunition store. An underground chamber here was used a prison. This chamber has a secret exit to escape from the fort in case of any emergencies. The first floor is lavishly built with arches and decorated with floral designs like a Baradari or a palace. To the right of the temple, there are a few halls which were used in the past as assembly halls and offices of the Quiledar (master of the fort). However, they are not maintained at all. The royal stables were also located within this fort. Substantial renovation and additions to attract visitors have been added during recent years. The earliest historical recorded link to the fort is that of Raja Jambu Lochan and his brother Bahu Lochan, sons of a powerful ruler Agnigarbha II of the Jammu dynasty of Suryavanshi kings. Bahu, the eldest of Agnigarbha's 18 sons, is credited with establishing the Jammu city and building the fort. The earlier fort structure was modified over the years to a stronger fortified structure. The present fort was rebuilt, probably at the same location as the ancient fort, by Autar Dev, the grandson of King Kapoor Dev in 1585. Over the years the fort underwent demolitions and reconstructions from time to time, until during Sikh Empire the then new Governor/Raja of Jammu Maharaja Gulab Singh reconstructed the present fort in the 19th century, which was further refurbished during the rule of Maharaja Ranbir Singh. They first established temples for their tutelary deities; the image of Mahakali deity in the temple in the fort was brought from Ayodhya

We visited this place in mid January and this place was so good to spend time with family; this place with vast area and flower garden and playground is enough to keep children occupied !

It was amazing..! The garden outside the fort..and it has an aquarium... A must visit place in jammu.. very near to jammu city center. Amazing place. It takes 3-4 hours to roam around the entire garden.. so go well in time. Its so peaceful any time you visit there.

This garden is located at Bahu fort. Garden maintenance is ok. Could be improved. One can view Jammu city from the garden deck. There is a musical fountain with lights that starts only after sunset. As we were not aware of it we missed it.

Park is well maintained, but non accessible for specially a led people. Musical fountain staff are fraud, there is a big problem with power disruption and they do not have any backup. Staff runaway once power is gone. No refund, be careful with this.

The garden is located on the bank of Tawi River in the lap of nature, away from the hustle and bustle of Jammu City. People from all walks of life find it a beautiful place to spend some time with the nature.

Very nice place to visit if you go to Patnitop I like to suggest some think if you're going Patnitop 1. From Katra you will find many people and agency that will help you out but You can also ask directly connect from driver there just ask anyone where you can find car stand its near Katra bus stand Important - The price from Katra to Patnitop 5 seater car is around 2600-3000 (Round Trip means it will show you all the spot in Patnitop and Drop back to Katra ) most important here your bargaining skill will help you out. Ask for Driver ID take photo of his car and no. Plate for safer side they will ask you the advance mostly 500 rs So you have also right to ask his ID Proof 2. There you will find a set of Overcoat with shoe if you like you can rent it around 200-250 rs otherwise carry one overcoat ( bargaining skill again ) 3. In Patnitop there is only snow to look and the nature view that's why don't expect most. You can find Snow Sledge ride they will ask you around 500 rs per person here you have to use your bargaining skill again Carry Cash to avoid headache and go there in morning to avoid any issue

Very old ‘Nag Temple’, made of woods. access road was good in the month of May. We blessed with Prasad rice, rajma, daal and vegitable. Natural scene very beautiful although no snow during the period. I was there on 22nd march 2021. It was bucketing off that day. I had to go inside the temple bare foot and I experience bitter cold from feet. It was adventurous for me to stand barefoot on that marble and watching the sight.

A very beautiful tourist spot near patnitop... You need to go up the road on patnitop-nathatop road and a few kilometres ahead you will find a very beautiful place to visit.... There is a beautiful lake with meadows and trees surrounding it... You can have adventure sports in the river and around it also... There are also hotels and restaurants.... Only if the Jammu government and Udhampur administration take a look into the road. The road leading to sanasar isn't maintained at all with a lot of potholes. ....

This centuries old temple stunned me with its beautiful architecture. Taking photos were not allowed inside the temple complexes but the design of the temple shikharas (spores) reminded me so much of the traditional temple design predominant in East Bengal (the areas in today's Bangladesh). Maybe the rajput lineage of architecture had been carried to Bengal. During medieval times, Rajput generals and nobles were often employed by the Mughal Empire and historically many Rajput personalities have attacked Bengal at the head of major invading armies. India is fascinating country, with history peeling out at you from everywhere. But only if you are careful and patient in looking for it. The area just outside needs to be cleaned up and encroachments removed.

One of the oldest temple in the city of the heart of lord Shiva where you find and 500 year old shivali made of crystals. There also other it is also like Mata Rani Ganesh ji and many other pindis. Situated in the heart of the city and easily approachable by matador vehicles car parking also available and very highly maintained and hygienic atmosphere and the best part was that the atmosphere was so calming and relaxing everybody was very curious and helpful.

It is the biggest Shiv temple in all of North India. Some things to keep in mind: remember to never do a full parikram crossing the water drain in any Shiv temple (look for the answer online, there are plenty 😌). They close the temple at 1pm and reopen at 3pm so latest arrival should be by 12pm. जय शिव शंभो!

It is one of the biggest shiva temples in North India. It is located in shalamar road. Maharaja Ranbir Singh built it. It has around 1.25 lakh small lingams brought from narmada river and one tall central lingam. Temple can be easily seen from road. There is also mela on shivratri. The temple has a beautiful park on the backside.

Temple is very good I must say authority did good work. From building maintenance to cleaning it's 10 on 10. And I have few suggestions to improve visitor experience: 1. All the pandits inside the temple are very cheap in nature. In the name of God they forced us to give money. Even authority maintained on board that give donation only in donation box. I feel that some visitors are avoiding those sections where pandits are seated. I feel really bad. I request to authority to take some strict action. 2. Temple must have boundary . Behind the temple residential place is there. where some peoples are bathing , some scrap dump was there. It doesn't look good at all. 3. At the right of the temple where we have Lord Shiva section , that area need some more cleaness due to continuous water flow that area starts smelling. My overall experience is good. Security guys are very polite and helpful.

Raghunath Temple is located in Jammu city of Jammu & Kashmir state of India. This temple is  not only a symbol of devotion of Hindu religion but also the identity of Jammu city. This temple is the biggest temple in north India. The temple is dedicated to Lord Rama. This temple is a beautiful example of Indian heritage. The temple was built during 1835-1860 by Maharaja Ranveer Singh and his father Maharaja Gulab Singh. There are seven historical religious premises in this temple. Rama temple is built using a lot of gold which is the symbol of grace. There are idols of many deities in this temple. The lingam of all the 33 Crores of deities of Hindu religion are built in this temple which is historical in nature and this quality distinguishes this temple with rest of the temples of India. The construction of the temple was started by Maharaja Gulab Singh in 1835 but it could be completed by his son Maharaja Ranveer Singh. The walls of the temple are decorated with gold from three sides inside the temple. From the outside, the temple appears in the form of 5 kalash which are arranged in sequence.  The idols of Lord Rama, Sita and Lakshmana can be found inside the Garba-graha. There are also the idols of various characters of Ramayana and Mahabharata in the various rooms around the Garba-graha in this temple.

It has a lovely view, the best conservation of Dogra history and information of the Royal family. The art collection is also glamorous. The guide(especially the colonel ) for each room is very knowledgeable.

Amar Mahal Palace was built for Raja Amar Singh in 1890 in Jammu city by a French architect on the bank of Tawi River, later son of Maharaja Hari singh named karan singh converted this palace into meusem. The museum was inaugurated by Prime Minister Indira Gandhi on 13th April, 1975. The Palace is must visit attraction in Jammu city. There are many pictures describing the Dogra dynasty. You can enjoy painting collection in gallery. For detailed visit you should go to this place with more time.

I went there yesterday for the first time, i don't know much about the history, what I know is that king Amar Singh made this palace on the bank of the Tawi river. The main attraction is the 125kg pure gold throne. As it's a museum now you can find 100 years old paintings , I personally expected more from the inside but only images and paintings i found. Cameras are allowed but you have to pay 200rs if you want to click pictures and for videography 2000rs. Entry fees are 50rs/head . And there is a second floor of you want to go there you have to pay another 125rs. The location is stunning and the outside structure of the palace is beautiful because the building was designed by French architects. Lunch time is 1-2pm so go before or after because during lunch time they don't allow anyone to go inside.

Good place to visit in order to know about the history of Jammu . Entry ticket is required for Museum. Photography is allowed only after ticket. Minimum 20-30 minutes required to visit the whole Mahal. Beautiful Tawi view can be seen from here. Price for entry ticket is below Rs.200.

This is one of the main attractions in Jammu City. The place is very neat and clean. There is a big restaurant inside it. Food was tasty and it will give you a complete luxury experience. Overall good experience.

Surrounded by skyline of Jammu and Mango trees stands Amar Mahal. The ticket costs about 50rs and 150rs for the Rani Mahal On first floor as special admission. There's a souvenir shop as well. The palace highlighted the history of the kings of Jammu and there legacy. The highlight was the 100KG Gold Throne.

Lovely to view and well maintained place.The Palace is overlooking Tawi River. Two different ticket prices, it is better to take Rs.125 ticket it covers the first floor as well.First floor has Queens chamber, 100 year old lift etc. They have funny rule about buying ticket for taking pictures with mobile.The museum xaretakers explain everything in detail.

It's a small museum but it's very beautifully maintained. The exhibits are limited. It's located next to Hotel Hari Mahal and the views from the back side overlooking the tawi river and jammu are breathtaking. There are guides/staff in the museum who are happy to answer questions and add context. An adult ticket is 50, and if you want to take pictures with your phone it's an additional 50. There is an alternate ticket worth 125 which covers the queen's bedroom and bathroom which was nice too, but is optional (pricing as of Nov'23)

Commissioned by Maharaja Amar Singh, a Dogra king, the palace was built in the nineteenth century by a French architect on the lines of a French Chateau. The palace was donated to the Hari-Tara Charitable Trust by Karan Singh for use as a museum. It has many exhibits including a golden throne weighing 120kg, a Pahari miniature, Kangra miniature paintings, a library of 25,000 antique books, many rare art collections,and a large collection of portraits of the royal family. If you are from Jammu, then Mansar must be your always picnic spot😋 There is a very beautiful lake in Mansar & a very beautiful park. Must visit place with family❤️ Last time we have gone there early in the morning aur kaafi acha experience raha. Na garmi lagi na kuch. So in winters prefer going there at about 9-10 am. Also they have started fountain service too. So it's amazing all in all.

This place remains full with tourists always. People enjoy coming here and spend some quality time.

Very good picnic spot for outing. It is a holy place. Zoo nearby. We can spot many animals over there. There are hundreds of fishes which we can feed. There are dogs, peacocks etc. Best view is when the sun sets. But don't get too late because if you reach in the evening then you will miss a lot of activities. Local shops nearby to eat.

Nice place to visit with family. Located next to surinsar lake and area developed by JDA. Adequate parking space is available (paid parking Rs 50/-). Rest rooms and eating joints there and also paid boating facility. Route from jammu via Sidra is good option and road is good. Other root is via samba with rough patches. If you are taking Sidra route, it is advised to get your car topped up as u will not find any refueling points enroute. Overall a good place to spend time with kids and family. A good picnic spot. You can feed fish here.

This is a beautiful lake. Many fishes are seen here. This place has a great historic relevance. Many shops are here. Many people sell aata and kheel as a fish food. They charge very nominal 10-20 bucks. Many stalls with children toys are also here. Few people distribute prasad here. There are temples near this lake. Sheshnaag Temple is also there. Beautiful temples, great vibes, pleasant weather.

Had a nice experience with family , the place was a bit crowded and did not get chance to do boating due to too much crowd. The lake has a good variety of fish and the kids loves playing with them . The lake also has a good number of trees where you can sit and relax . The cages near to the lake serve some snacks for munching . Overall a good place to visit .

Nice place Bit far from Jammu, food quality not so good. We ate samosa , chai & rush. Samosa was bit oily. I recommended to bring your own food to eat. Boating 🛶 is also nice but need to wait for a while to book the ticket. They booked the ticket for half an hour. No public toilets. -> but it was fun going through between mountains & if you like long drive Must recommended

An amazing and well maintained tourist attractions. Beautiful lake surrounded by hills and dense forests, and has some mythological importance. A small island is at the middle of the lake which is a home to thousands of bats. There opens many options of recreations like boating, climbing wall, giant swing, open theatre, baby and family parks, restaurants etc. It is becoming the most sought destination of tourists in Jammu region. Must Visit!

It is a very wonderful place if you want to go for a day picnic as it the area covers hilly regions and then comes to Lake the basic immunities available there are washroom amusement park where you can play some games also. Boating is also available but at expensive rates. The lake is surrounded by a local vendors who offer you local food and other refreshments too and very reasonable price and the food prepared is also very fresh so I must go place if you're looking for a day out and to refresh yourself

This place is away from all the hustle bustle of the city and a great spot to hangout in the outskirts of jammu in the udhampur district. It is a wetland and also a Ramsar site. You can find a variety of fishes here and the view is magical .✨ If you visit in winters the place a host to number of migratory birds. I could spot various bird watchers there. You can find parking space easily. It still needs development as there are no eating joints and you should carry your eatables along. The place is not clean because of our carelessness.

One of the well maintained tourist place in Jammu. Beautiful lake with island where it’s not possible to reach but has full of trees and Phalacrocorax fish eating bird. One can do paddle boat ride with max 4 people per boat, two has to paddle. The surrounding area is also very well maintained and cleaned. The park near to lake is also maintained and one can do picnic with family. The park is full of paid kids rides too where kids enjoy a lot but but expansive. The lake is full of fishes and one can feed them with floor available there also. The path around the lake is also good but long. There are some temple too to visit.
