Very nice to visit in the summer. The sun is warm, the place around feels festive. There were lots of tourist and it was generally fun to look around and enjoy the sites. I joined a few tours and the history is very interesting too.

The world famous Brandenburg gate, living in Berlin I have visited this place on multiple occasion and it has always been a great experience. Be there t for a late night stroll or to see tulips bloom in April to celebration new year here. The square near the gate holds the American embassy, a star bucks, and a bunch of pickpockets, hustlers, and street performers working for a euro. The iconic buildings in the area have value in learning about prior to arrival too.

Great atmosphere although very busy first week of July. Plenty of places for a coffee and 5 minutes from the parliament building and the holocaust memorial. Definitely worth a visit.

A beautiful place, full of tourists. You can find someone dancing or someone playing music. There are many cafes in the area. You can drink a cup of coffee and walk around the place.

Incredible monument that is much more intimidating and beautiful in person. A lot of history has passed through this gate and it’s easy to feel the weight of it when you’re there. It’s probably the most recognisable piece of Berlin and is naturally busy most of the day. You may find more space on Sunday afternoon or early in the morning.

Nice place, very clean, not many people (not like in front of Milan duomo for example), can enjoy pop songs played live for free 😸 Was interesting to see some peaceful demonstrations. I also went there on Sunday and could even sit on the bench and eat my lunch.

Now all the bullet holes and tears are repaired and it has been restored to its formed glory. We passed through the same gate through which Napoleon passed after the battle of Jena. It is a combination of beauty and power.

Another historical site not to be forgotten. The Wall was right there as well and there are the demarcation lines of the Wall that you would be able to see. Just be careful of those touts asking for assistance . It's a must visit attraction that you cannot miss 👍👍👍🙂

It’s hard to give a rating for a memorial like this. It has so much meaning to different people who have and will visit it. it’s very difficult to interpret the meaning of a rating and what it could imply a to something like this. Personally I found it quite a moving experience walking through the blocks and reading some of the information about various individuals. Walking between the blocks I felt strength, a unity of purpose and a statement that those who have been and will be persecuted have a voice, maybe not their own but none the less persecution can’t be hidden.

It’s such an impressive place to visit, walking through the memorial you feel a strong energy, I was so lucky to find quite, not busy spots as many tour groups are usually walking around, but I was able to keep myself away from them and get good pics without people. If you visit Berlin this is a place you can not miss. And do not miss the museum/exhibition in the lower level. It is sad, but full of information of things you may didn’t know about things that happened during that time!!! Respectfully well done !!

What an amazing place. We certainly did not expect that. It is located between the mall of Berlin and the Brandenburg gate. You can also go underneath to know more about the story Kids loved it there since they can play hide and seek. Different from other attractions in Berlin that could be boring for kids.

What can I say. Breath taking, awe inspiring, thought provoking. It's just absolutely amazing to see how it's laid out and it really makes you see. If you get chance to have a guided walking tour, they will give you an insight on why it was built. All blocks are different and as you look across you can't see over the last one, this represents the neverending amount of Jews killed. Absolutely amazing to be there

Fantastic and moving free museum. No need to get the audio guide, as there was an abundance of text and information to read. Very informative, and does not shy away from any topics which is appreciated in a museum with a topic such as this one. My only issue was we had to wait outside in the sun for around 15 minutes before being let in, but it was very worth it. It also got very crowded in the beginning section, which is a narrow hallway. It was difficult to move ahead as you are at the whim of the people in front of you. I would recommend going at a less busy time. Overall not a perfect experience but very much a worthwhile and important one.

This place is worth a visit! It's such a sad memorial. One should visit the underground museum. Every information is there from evacuation to capitulation! Every excerpt of the victims brings tears to your eyes! Feeling sad & grateful at the same time.

It feels wrong when the rating says "loved it", because obviously it's not something to love, but the place was so worth the visit. The museum was heartbreaking and difficult to go through, but the staff was lovely and making sure to follow the covid guidelines to keep their guests safe. My one wish is that they should put clear signs that what you can listen to on the phones are stories from survivors. I thought it would be audio of the information of the room since there was a lot of text in that room, but my sister decided to listen and told me what it was, so I could listen too, and those stories were the most heartbreaking and powerful ones there. Please put up some clearer signs so more people get to experience those stories. They're important.

The monument consists of “The Holocaust memorial” and underground museum. Strongly recommend to visit museum before entering the Memorial itself. Free entry, just 20-30minutes waiting time in a queue which is worth. Attn! Museum is not for children.

A great way to physically show the next generations the importance of history and why we should always learn from it. Situated actoss from the American embassy with blocks representing age of victims and the design intentionally disorientating once inside it in order to convey the fear experienced by the Jewish community it is dedicated to.

Very moving space. Very different once you are inside than from driving by. There is an underground space we did not visit. Do not use a drone in the field. Do not stand on the blocks. Respect this space.

Somber and intense and, occasionally, hopeful. Depends how you look at it. I found it extremely moving and was not prepared for how much it affected me. Strange contrast between an inward meditation on the atrocities humans afflict on each other and twenty-somethings playing hide and seek amongst the tombs.

I really wish that I hade the time to go down to see the monument and read about everything. But just walking around made me understand how big and terrible this thing this was.

Difficult to review this place, given the horrors that led to its very existence. It feels like an art installation, and despite signage pointing out the rules for visiting, there were still brainless morons who thought climbing on the memorial or running around playing hide and seek was acceptable. It's an impersonal monument. In spite of the considerable cost involved in creating it, it still feels like it's the absolute bare minimum to mark one of the worst events of the 20th Century. Please visit with mindfulness and respect.

an installation of approximately 2700 concrete blocks all equally long but differently tall. I wasn't very impressed, perhaps because there were many people, some sitting or lying on top of the blocks. I know there is also an underground part but I haven't seen it.

Its free to visit, and there is a security check before you are whisked by lift to the terrace and given a audio guide. The audio guide points out Buildings of note around Berlin city as you walk up the ramp spiral to the viewing platform. Architecture details of the dome and parliamentary details are given as you walk down the ramp.

Rooftop and dome well worth a visit. Booking ahead required (it’s free). Excellent views of central Berlin in all directions. Nice if general historical summary of the building and its role in German public life available in the dome too.

The building was destroyed during WWII and rebuilt. The visit is free but has to be booked in advance, you will receive a letter and that letter has to be brought at the appointment. You can only visit at the given timeslot and a legal ID has to be presented. It is better to show up at least 15minutes in advance because you have to go through the security to get in. Once in, you can visit the roof terrace and glass dome and also the visitor sitting area of the parliament. About 2 hours is enough here.

When you have free entry to this beautiful place then why not but free entry available to the Dome by online reservation, or in person with your passport or other documents. An audio guide is included so do remember to pick it up upon arrival to the Dome. Enjoy the spectacular landscape views from the dome. Audio guide, which played automatically, gave you brief introduction to major buildings nearby. I enjoyed 360 view from the dome. It’s like amazing bird eye view of Berlin city. Absolutely fascinating building a must visit when u r in Berlin. I tried to visit during summer but unfortunately all the slots were booked so I only saw it from outside. So if u r planning to visit during summer time make sure to book your visit time in advance by 7 Weeks during the touristic peak season or 3 weeks at least during summer. I visited again in winter and was lucky to find a slot only three days in advance. The entry is free of charge however booking online and registering the guests information is a must before visit. Make sure to have your confirmation email and ID/ Passport with you. Walking in is NOT possible. You learn all the history of the building, and general information about the German political parties and history. You can pick up an audio guide also free of charge. While climbing the dome ramp you can have a good view of the city and see a lot of important spots in the city like the TV tower, the victory Column, Berlin Cathedral etc etc. It was raining and the city was very grey during my visit but still I did enjoy the view so I can only imagine it will be even better during summer. The security check was quiet fast and super friendly and helpful it only took ten minutes waiting overall going through all the lines / security check. Very well organized. The entire tour takes around an hour and by the end of the tour you can enjoy coffee / drink at the cafe at exist. The cafe has a sitting area indoors and outdoors area has an absolutely amazing view of the spree river.

Wonderful building representing the strength and ideas of the German people. Not as majestic as it used to be, due to the war, but still very impressive. It is worth a visit, especially due to the fact that you can get inside the dome for free, you just need an early reservation.

Really cool building and you get to learn a ton about German history there. The audio guides are really well done and start automatically when you step onto the ramp. As you walk around and around as you ascend, the audioguide then continues to say more about the various things that are available to view.

The tickets online make no sense. Buy tickets in person ,and you cand find much more than you see online ! Really good experience inside except for the teen groups who made a lot of noise .

The reichstag was an incredible experience. The audio guide was very informative and the views were great from the top of the dome and the roof of the building.

Definitely worth a trip to the dome if you're able to get tickets. I submitted a request a few weeks before visiting (but never heard back), but was able to go to the physical ticketing centre across the road and get a ticket for two days later. If, like me, you're unable to get a ticket via the registration form online, I would recommend visiting the ticketing centre early in your visit, to hopefully be able to get a ticket for later. The security measures are not too tedious to go through and the views from the dome and phenomenal. The audioguide is also quite informative (especially for non-Germans) and is worth getting.

It’s totally free, but you must make a reservation either at the gate by providing your ID or online, I did it at the gate and reserved for next day.Place you must visit when you’re in Berlin. I think if you can visit it on the first day as a tourist it will help you to understand about German Cold War and things about the wall. And specially with the panoramic view you can see some historical monuments and museums that you must pay a visit during your stay. There is no luggage lockers you must carry them with you

Tickets go live on the first day of the month, so you need to get in early in order to book in advance and secure a ticket! It was great to visit the Reichstag building - tickets are free (but booking absolutely essential). You also need to have your passport in order to enter the building, and go through body & bag scanners. We were taken up in the lift, and then left - so there was no guide, and no one to show us where to go. Worth picking up an audio guide at the top of the lift, they are free (although mine wasn’t working unfortunately, and I couldn’t be bothered to go and swap it). Beautiful building and great to walk up the glass dome and read/see the photos about the history of the Reichstag building and it’s reconstruction after the war.

To learn about the building's history, you can get tickets to walk around the dome on the building's roof. An elevator takes you to the dome, and on the main floor of the dome is a "mini museum" with lots of captioned pictures that tell the story of the building's past. After getting educated about the building, you can walk up the circular ramp to the dome's top. From there you can take in great views of the city. The entire dome experience takes about an hour. Visitors must buy tickets in advance and go through security before entering the building.

A great tour that you can do for free offering and teaching tourists about the history of Berlin and Germany. This is a great activity for tourists and it’s also a great way to see the city from above. The tickets can be bought online for no charge and the experience involves seeing inside the building, as well as the roof terrace and the dome above. The dome above offers some great architecture and sights of the city, seeing some incredible views. The tour also offers information in all different languages so you can read and listen to more about the history of the building. Great place to visit near Berlin Gate. You have to book your ticket online beforehand to roam inside the building. You need to show either valid IDs or travel document to get entry for the tour inside. It’s worthy to take the tour. They can provide you earphone with audio device where many languages are available including English, German, French, Spanish etc. It is a historic government building on Platz der Republik in Berlin that has been the seat of the German Bundestag since 1999. Since 1994, the Federal Convention has also met here to elect the Federal President.

One can easily spend more than 2 hours here if interested. The collection is huge and enormous. Definitely one of the largest museums.The audio guide is very well designed. The Mesopotamian, Babylonian and Islamic collections are incredible. 12 euros for direct ticket bought at the museum. Online booking in advance could help.

Most of the artifacts come from ancient cities that I had been to before. Of course it is way more beautiful to see them in their own place. But I am starting to question how well they were going to be preserved if they were there, day by day.

Before the renovation, I had a chance to visit this astonishing amazing museum. If you’re interested in Aegean- Mediterranean archeology and history , here’s a must see for you. After visiting this museum I was so motivated to work more detailed at my art works. The color palette, combination of motifs and geometry of Islamic artworks are very unique and different than European ones. I was so glad to be able to experience different art movements at the Museum Island. Don’t skip these museums when you’re in Berlin.

To apreciate this museum you must and some history of it's exhibits. It's been a long time since i visited it, but it will stay in my memory forever! But it would be more suitable to see this exhibits in their home countries!

A lot of interesting ancient materials. Not only the main attraction, Babylon, is quite nice, but also other Ancient temples and materials are really enriching. Upstairs you can also find a lot of Arabic things which are very cool. 100% recommended. If you buy your tickets online, you avoid every single time of waiting 😊

I spend 3 hours in the museum. I wanted to see the whole place before they close it for renovation, so I took my time. I got the audioguide and went through the entire museum listening to each recording. It was a great way to see all the exhibits and I recommend doing that if you have time.

One of the most interesting museums I have ever been to. Would surely recommend to anyone who likes history. Alot to learn and much beauty to admire. It took us about 3 hours without rushing and we were able to walk through all the exhibits. TIP: Make sure to carry an A4 size bag if you would like to carry some water or any thing else inside with you. There is a coat check area and lockers for bigger bags. You just need 1-2 Euro to access them which you can get back at the end of your tour. Enjoy!

A definite must-see when in Berlin. The descriptions of everything are in English and German. It was a bit disappointing that the Pergamon Altar was closed when we went, but we knew that in advance. It was well worth the ticket costs regardless. You could easily spend an entire day there, but we had tickets to other museums as well for the day, so we were only there for about 2.5 hours. I understand why it’s so controversial. It’s sad to know other cultures lost pieces of their history for these things to be here. However, it’s definitely worth the time and money to see such a well preserved collection of history from around the world, no matter your feelings on it. Such a cool place to learn about history of many different cultures!

It’s great museum to get insights about ancient life and culture. It contains very rich exhibitions. The museum is very beautiful inside and outside. Prepare to spend around one-two hours here. Better to buy tickets in advance as possible to meet long queues. Definitely mast see place in Berlin and inside of Museum Island. And better to visit Pergamonmuseum Panorama in the same time.

Wow! You need to go to the Panorama exhibition first which is only 10 minutes away to get the full impact of this museum. Whilst I believe artefacts should remain in their original location I have to confess that having the opportunity to see the tiles, freezes and the temple was terrific. I am in awe of the skills required by the stonemasons to produce such wonderful work. You need to book your time as they sell out very quickly and restrict numbers. Worth purchasing the Berlin Welcome card which includes museums on museum Island and transport. The Panorama Exhibition was extra.

It was amazing museum. I wish we could see the sculptures in origin locations. But the museum is good idea to protect them. My advise that you should take your ticket before the visiting day. Because you couldn’t find any ticket in same day. It takes nearly two hours.

A wonderful museum, not so big, but very well organized. It contains a lot of unique collectibles and antiquities, and they have a very wonderful gift shop. The special thing about this museum is that many of the important antiquities were originally stolen and they claim that these pieces were purchased from some merchants or owners, but what I cannot understand is: Who owns the Ishtar Gate!! They make millions of euros every month from possessions that do not even belong to them.

A very nice museum. However, since reducing in size, it was very crowded inside. Even though it's necessary to book a time slot, it seems that these slots are still very full, so it was a bit overwhelming with how many people were inside at one time. The islamic culture section was really beautiful, and the main halls too of course. I can recommend it for the price and the culture for sure!

Not a bad place. Not too big but enough to see. Pictures attached. It has very good disability access and the staff are very friendly. You need to leave your bags in lockers and need a euro or a 2 euro coin, which is returned after you take your stuff back out. Very bright and airy. Great perspective with the life size exhibits. Worth a visit but it isn't free.

If you haven't seen this museum till now, don't lose the chance to get familiar with the awesome history of great ancient human civilizations, it also can be interesting for kids or teenagers. Apparently it is gradually getting under construction section after another section, unfortunately I missed some important parts due to the reconstruction work, later on I had to check the missing parts on the original video & virtual tour of the museum.

A must visit museum in Berlin. Museum has so much collection of historical antique items. Ishtar gate is the main attraction and it's beautiful and huge. Also the Roman market fascade is huge and it's well preserved in museum. Audio guide helps in getting the information easily about all the artifacts. Very much recommended museum in Berlin.

Typography of Terror was an enlightening display of the history of WW2. It was very well presented in English and German with a very thorough audioguide in many other languages. I couldn’t help but think how challenging it must have been for German historians to honestly retell the horrors their country and leadership inflicted on their own people and their neighbours.

Museum of World War II, which has free admission. Very informative and a great outside exhibit as well. Also, there’s a large stretch of the original wall on the location. It could be done in an hour if you don’t read everything otherwise you could spend a good part of the day there if you’re a reader of all the things in the museum.

Another symbol of world war 2!! It puts things into perspective when you read the history of "The Berlin Wall" 🧱 It truly was an awful time, so much cruelty. Things were done, that's dehumanizing! I often wonder 🤔 what the young people think when you see them here looking at all the History.

Topography of terror, a museum and a memorial, that provides a written information with photographs or you can take an audio guide, that tells about the horror times in our history. Around that place you can see the crushed stones. It was mentioned in the audio guide, that this kind of place should never be covered by grass with time. People should not forget it and must never let it happen again.

Such an experience, so well done. Worth visiting if only to see the outside displays and a large section of the Berlin Wall but the exhibition inside is well worth visiting if you have time.

FANTASTIC! This is a free museum where you will learn in an excellent detail the history of Germany and Europe during Hitler dominance. Real photos, with a fantastic gallery. This was just fantastic! I bought a book due to feeling like that I needed to know more.

Beautiful and diverse paintings on a piece of history, really fun to see, very picturesque, and for free! My only issue was how touristy it was there but I suppose that's to be expected from such a notable place. What I appreciate, though, was how respectful other people were when taking pictures - they'd politely wait until you took your pictures and only then they would walk by. Very nice! Another detail I liked about the wall was that there were names of the paintings and artists written in front of the paintings.

It's a fantastic Museum place to learn, remember and not to forget, English and German of course and free, no excuse!!!

I visited here in a cold rainy day but any of these didn't stop me take my time to go through it patiently and read and see almost all of it. Definitely worth a visit!

A great historical place you must give a visit while you are in Berlin. You can reach easily by tram from the city center. There is a small museum also across the street. The only think i didn t like was the ugly graffiti in some parts of the remaining wall. I definitely recommend this place.

Five star rating as a recommended place to visit and it’s historical value. Bizarre yet surreal place to walk through, reflecting. Very well preserved and presented. Only a 5 minute walk from the holocaust memorial and checkpoint Charlie.

An interesting place to walk around. Remnants of the wall, there are areas marked out where old pavements were, the lights used to illuminate the wall to. The wall of photos etched on glass was poignant as it put faces to people who died trying to get over the wall. A place worth making an effort to visit

So much history here. While the wall is no longer there, some original parts were, and there were several signs with pictures and historical information on them to explain the wall. I love history, but even those who don’t can appreciate this. The signs are easy to follow, clearly written, and even tell interesting stories about certain people. Highly recommend visiting this spot if you go to Berlin.

Definitely a check off my bucket list. Access to the wall as well as historical info including the 3D maze, memorials and pictures of those who previously past away are free. It was amazing to to be so close to the remnants of the wall and have so much history right there in front of me.

One of the highlights of my trip to Berlin. Seeing a museum is one thing, but seeing a museum that serves as a physical reminder of what happened is another. This is a beautifully preserved historical remnant that retains enough history to give you a glimpse into the horrors of Cold War Berlin and enough context to understand how it happened. The stories of people along the Wall were particularly poignant.

This seems like a very accurate recreation of how the wall existed in its original form. With memorials for the fallen trying to cross, explanations of how the ‘kill zone’ worked and existed. Various stories of hearbreaking separation and tactics to stop eastern Berliners from escaping to the west. The Reconciliation sculpture is beautiful.

Interesting place to discover the history of the walk. Push button system on pillars for audio and some video. Be careful of the gypsies trying to get money off you, scamming a petition to be signed for the deaf, for a few euros. No shame.

Not just a memorial but also a free open air museum, which is perhaps the best way to tell the story of the Wall. With text, photos, video and audio, it tells stories that happened literally beneath your feet as you walk the pleasant, quiet park surrounds. An excellent place to spend an hour.

A very nice piece of German history. The pillars that have been placed show where the wall used to be, and clearly give a picture of the separation of these two parts. On the floors you will see red bricks showing the places where the tunnel used to be not so long ago. In certain places you can find small screens that are activated with a button and start playing a short film with useful content and difficult moments when citizens try to jump from the balcony in the hope of salvation. I definitely recommend to visit if you are visiting this city.

It was such an incredible experience to visit the outdoor gallery. Thought provoking paintings 🖼 on the wall by many artists. I love it!!’ I enjoyed walking around the area too. The location of the gallery is ideal. It is not far from the train station and there are plenty of shops nearby. Highly recommended to everyone 🇩🇪

If you are visiting Berlin, you should go see the remains of the Berlin Wall at the East Side Gallery. You can find it easily on a sightseeing bus tour if you don't feel comfortable finding it on your own.Artists from all over the world have painted lots of pictures on a long part of the Wall, and there are many different ones to see. You can take pictures and learn more about it. The Gallery is a very special place that helps you understand how big the Wall really is. Don't skip it.

Truly great place to visit. The art work on the Berlin Wall is amazing. This is a real piece of history and you can only just imagine what it was like before the wall was torn down. If you go to Berlin this is an absolute must to visit. Plus there is a nice cafe right next to it. Martha's Cafe. If it hadn't started pouring rain I would have stayed longer but I will definitely be revisiting on my next trip.

The wall has a great history in itself which anyone visiting there would be keen to know and the art done on the wall is amazing. It is so beautiful. It feels like just grab a drink and take a good amount of walk along the wall. It was a great adventure for me to see the beautiful graffiti.

A huge open air gallery erected upon the remains of the wall that once divided the city. No entry ticket required You’ll find all sorts of colorful and interesting art within this long stretch, a lot of which is related in some way to Berlin’s past and the Cold War era in general If you start at the end closer to Alexanderplatz you’ll find that most of the more famous murals are located towards the end so be ready to walk

A walk down memory lane. Emotionally intense. please do not stop only in front of the most famous part, take a bit more time to go further. The wall is history, not only some kind of checklist for tourist. So take a few steps … It really worth it - and it s less crowded !!

When you go, just know it can get crazy busy, so maybe hit it up when the crowds aren't as nuts for a more chill vibe.

This is a long stretch of the wall which has been given to artists to paint in sections. The side of the wall along the main road has in excess of 100 murals with differing themes but freedom stands out the most. On going around today there are 3 sections which have been painted over so I guess someone will paint a mural in them. Currently there are some building works going on and about 150 metres has protection from the road however the wall is still there to see. This section of the wall has had the mural defaced with graffiti. The rear of the wall is blank apart from general graffiti. There is an ornate iron gate also built into wall. There is a grass area behind the wall with places to sit and a footpath that runs alongside the River Spree. I went about 1pm and it was fairly busy. The busiest part was the image of the leaders kissing. Well worth seeing and only 10 minutes walk from the East Side Mall.

Absolutely breathtaking and very very deep. It's amazing to see how much of die Mauer is still standing today; painted over with beautiful, meaningful murals from artists all around the world. This place holds so much meaning and worth without needing any words to explain it. It's still extremely hard to believe how it separated Berlin just over 30 years ago. It is very easy to access via the U2 and being free, it is a must go to for any visitor to Berlin

The perfect place to immerse yourself in the authenticity of the Berlin Wall. . We stayed at the hotel right next to the wall and found the park and wall remains amazing. . Here you can really begin to imagine the divide between the east and west side and picture the true scale of the wall along the main street. . The street art now dominates the remains and this in itself is a real treat to absorb. . 100% this is the place to visit to experience the 'wall'

Historic place, one of the last pieces of the Wall of Berlin that is still in the original location. Amazing artworks from various graffiti artists. The best part, it's open air and free to visit. Just try to arrive a bit early so that you don't have to wait in order to take pictures Such a pity that they allowed property development literally on top of this monument. But I guess money makes the world go around and Berlin officials are obviously notorious money grabbers.

Walls are famous for their very existence. Important historical place which associated the different sides of the city though people, culture was identical. Artists have portrayed a lot of interesting things on the wall. It's a bit crowded and one must be careful as the pedestrian path isn't wider.

The iconic east side gallery is home to some very well known street art. A large open air gallery that once was the berlin wall. Is 1316 metres long and it accommodates art from 118 artists from 21 countries. It officially opened as an open air gallery on 28 September 1990. Just over a year later, it was given protected memorial status.

I liked the wall as a gallery. It's a pity that it still carries sad historical meanings, but the artists reinterpreted it well, so it was interesting. It's a shame that many works by Russians were presented, as Russians are now showing aggression, so the works were interpreted differently. A lot of attention was paid to only one work and there is a whole queue to take pictures, but if you, like us, came to see not only that work, you will be interested, there is also something else to see. This is just a small part of the works that impressed me.

Nice walk back in history, for the oldies like me 😀. The graffiti are excellent and it was a nice walk to take. Sadly it just became a merely tourist attraction tough, I thought that for such a historic piece would deserve something better.

A MUST in Berlin. The main thing: the wall and all it means. “Secondary” important things: a lot of (meaningful) art paintings on the wall; and the surroundings, vivid, alive.

Always a pleasure to visit! All the artwork are very artistic and highly political and reflect past and current situations. A good historical review with awareness in an emotional and creative way!

Really nice! I am just sad I had to hurry, because the weather was cold and rainy. Put some photos, but especially liked the originality of gas mask creatures.

Easily reachable and within a couple of minutes walk of the Ostbahnhof railway station, or one of the many ‘hop on, hop off’ tour buses this really is an ionic part of living history. The last remaining parts of the Berlin Wall still in its original location, with some thought provoking and moving street art.

Despite this place probably being overrated I really enjoyed my time here, so much that I can’t not give it five stars. The historic significance of this place and all the little details that they’ve added made it a really cool experience. Also make sure to checkout the museum gift shop, best souvenir gift shop I’ve seen in a long time

Checkpoint Charlie was one of the most iconic border crossings between East and West Berlin during the Cold War. Today, it is a popular tourist destination, and for good reason. April 24- not too busy and thankfully people are polite about photos. It's an historic site worth visiting . The plaques and history is incredible. Shame it's a mock up but good nod to recent history.

Had a nice time visiting this place. Being a history fan, I have seen this place in movies like The man from U.N.C.L.E , so visiting it by real gave me some goosebumps. It was great lurking around and reading history stuff written on the walls in the surrounding areas. Visit this place peacefully so you have time to relaxedly read all the details and boardings nearby!

Definitely one of the top places in Berlin to visit. It is basically an outdoor monument. You can visit anytime of day or night. There are several museums in the area if you want to learn more. We had some great photo opportunities. And it was interesting to learn about this site. Consider visiting before or after other things open if you have no interest in the museums.

Amazing piece of American history! I highly recommend making the stop. Just to the left of the first picture is an incredible gift shop where you can buy literature describing more of the events.

Surreal place to visit being so infamous and significant to Berlin. Visit the outside of the black box museum on the junction as loads of photos through the times of checkpoint Charlie. We also visited the Einstein cafe which was hugely significant in cold war days. Right on the opposite junction to the black box museum.

Having the opportunity to witness the theater of operations of the cold war is undoubtedly one of the main attributes that Berlin offers for those interested in history. The city has preserved these places that are very important for the history of the city, the country and the world. The entire site is very detailed with a lot of information for those interested in knowing the German perspective of this piece of world history.

Interesting place to visit linked to the history of Germany. Do visit the black box on the corner. It has all interesting facts and stories about the time of cold war

An iconic part of Berlin's history- very busy area with tourists so may need to wait to get photo taken at the hut. Lots of information boards around the area and photos from before the fall of the wall. Lots of touristy souvenir shops in area and the Checkpoint hsrlie Museum ( very worth a visit!)

It’s very interesting to see that was such a hot point of Cold War conflict now has a McDonald’s :-) we didn’t have a chance to go into the museum, but we did read the sign boards and look at the exhibit in the free freedom plaza that is near checkpoint Charliegh. Also, it was cool to see that they’re buildings in the 1980 photograph that are still standing where they were.

Wasn’t as epic as I had assumed. Loads of tourists taking pics but not really much there but for free to stand there it was great. Shame the corporates are in the background like McDonald’s. But we got the just of the location and feel for it. Poignant.

One of the highlights of Berlin, although there is not much to see there are many landmarks nearby that can make you reflect about the time of the separation of Berlin. Must see, there is a museum and a souvenir shop next to it.

There is no entrance at this attracion as it sits in the middle of the street, however you may wait in an unofficial line to take your pictures. This is a very popular spot. There is a museum and a giftshop. Large selection of chech point Charlie merchandise in the two giftshops. Easily arrive at the location by taking the UBahn 6 to Check Point Charlie station. You will find pieces of the wall in the area and the line that indicates the wall location. Great piece of history not to be missed.

The view is amazing!! The place is very organized and all staff working there very polite. I did not spend much time in the line to buy the ticket and take the lift. The price is a little expensive and if you don’t visit the restaurant you might spend 1 hour for the tour max. For sure it is a very nice place to visit!

Ticket costs about 21 euros but the experience is well worth the cost. You can download a tiny app to your smart phone for an enhanced experience. On a clear day you can see a long ways in every direction. Helpful signs inform you about things of interest. A restaurant and bar are available as well as a clean bathroom.

Very busy area but not a lot of genuine tourist activity. Some shops and some restaurants but lots of people hanging around appearing as if they have nothing to do. If you want a view from the tower I saw nothing negative. You will find the usual tourist vendors. Great views of the tower from down below.

The tower offered a really lovely panoramic view of Berlin. We went at night, but did not feel like we've missed anything, as there is an app that shows what exactly you're looking at and gives you more information (you can even see where the entire Berlin Wall was located!). The elevator ride was really smooth and fast, considering the height of the tower.

Great experience to see the Berlin city view from the top of the tower and that too from a very good height. The view from the elevator while reaching at the top was quite stunning and spectacular. One can also buy souvenirs from the ground floor. There is a restaurant at the top floor but it was closed at that time. If you have a very less time to see Berlin then from this tower one can see almost everything that he/she has missed.

For 25 euros I was able to visit the observation platform (200 meters high). On a clear day the view is fantastic. I would recommend to make an online reservation to avoid the long lines.

Amazing views from this iconic structure. A fast lift carries you to the viewing deck, with window on top of the lift to see the rate of ascent! Views guided by an informative series of pictures mapping out key locations and buildings. Bar area is part of the viewing gallery. The sky restaurant is the level above. Tickets can be bought in advance or from a machine at the entrance, with an entry time linked to the ticket number. Queue for the lift to get up and down did take a while but there was no pressure to rush once up there, and you could take as long as you wanted to enjoy the view.

Nice view from Berlin. It has inidications of important points, but some are really far and you can't actually see them very clear. Is not expensive to go to the top. I haven't gone to the bar or restaurant although. Also, it always has a lot of people, so you have to wait a little some time to get a space to have a nice view or be able to read the explanations.

A fabulous visit to the restaurant at the top of the tower. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming. It was really exciting to enter with a great feeling both of going back in time to the 1970s and also visiting the future! The views are amazing and the food was really good too. 90 minutes is plenty of time although we were allowed to stay longer as our table wasn’t booked by anyone else so we could squeeze in desert! We all had a great time creating lots of happy memories together.

We walked a lot during our visit to Berlin. Of course, you can't miss the 368-meter tower called the Berliner Fernsehturm. It was opened in 1969. It has an extremely beautiful view of Berlin from the viewing gallery. There is also a restaurant here.

We booked a window seat in advance at the restaurant which gave us the great views in the spinning restaurant (full cycle in 30 minutes). We had a decent meal to go along with 90 minutes or so of great evening views across Berlin. Well worth going to and i would book the restaurant again. We were able to go to the viewing platform on the floor below as part of the experience, but busier times this may not be allowed.

It has a very nice view of Berlin. You enjoy the experience better if you have a meal at the restaurant with a window view. However, getting a reservation for the restaurant is quite hectic as many people reserve about 4 weeks in advance. It is recommended to book early if you would love to use the restaurant. The virtual reality tour is also great to learn more about the history of Berlin. I recommend it.

The tv tower is very nicely built. The architecture of it looks great. Even after so many years. We booked a ticket for seven pm to the observation deck. The experience is quite disappointing. Well don't get me wrong. It is very very well managed. We get in and get out very smoothly. The major drawback is there's Nothing to see. Nothing exciting at all. Normally we would expect some outdoor air. But there is no such thing at all. The viewing angle is very much limited. I'm talking about up and down. The left and right because is it old building? So the class is very small. You cannot even get a good picture from it. Being at many of the high buildings roof deck. This is one of the worst experience one. I think it's kind of waste of money and time. But the people there are pretty nice. The food stand downstairs are pretty nice too. We went to the Turkish kabab called donor Which is a cross street inside the train station. I also ask the staff is it possible to go to 250 meters observation deck He said of course it is possible but not open to public at this time. I am wondering it will be a quite good experience if we can go to 250 meters which is our door too. lol

203m up in the sky, the view is mesmerising, tickets are €26 and they are worth it. It's better to buy them in advance. Be there around 10 minutes before the hour slot you've booked.

Iconic place in Berlin, a must-see if you're around. Without thinking about the iconic status, the price could be a bit better, it's 25€ for the most basic ticket. Booking online is highly recommended because the lines can get long and they have time slots. When entering the building you're presented with a large area with some stairs that goes into the elevators and some plaques explaining the history of this tower, construction and purpose. The lifts are very quick (you feel it in your ears) and take roughly 8-10 people at the time and there's 2 of them. Basically the waiting time to board them is quite short but always dependent on how many people are in line. Once you arrive at the top you're greeted with stunning 360 ° views of the city and because you're way up there, you'll see past the city as well. In every window there's a plaque with photos detailing what you're seeing with a brief explanation of each landmark/building. There's also a restaurant one floor above and a bar which are great additions to this place. Highly recommend!

Possibly one of the must see visit attractions in Berlin, recommend you buy your tickets online before hand to avoid queuing. We arrived approximately 15 mins earlier than our allotted time but this didn’t seem to be a problem. I would advise not buying on the day as the queue was up to an hour. Some fantastic views over the city, you may have to be patient to get a good shot if it’s busy, as everyone is muscling in to get a good view!

Really nice place €9.00 per adult for the Cathedral and the dome. You can stay in the Cathedral as long as you like but when go up to the dome there is a one way system up one set of stairs and down another so when you come down you can't go back up. Be aware that there are approximately 270 steps to the dome but when you get there the views are brilliant

Beautiful cathedral with interesting tombs inside. I would have loved to have made it to the top for the panoramic views but it sounded too difficult to walk up there. Also note that if you buy the Museum Island pass, the Cathedral is not included, you have to buy tickets online separately.

This is one of the most beautiful churches in the world. There is an entry ticket of 10 euros and there is also a locker room. You can climb to the top by 273 stairs, the views are stunning from the top. Some portion of the church is still under construction so it was closed.

Can’t believe that you have to pay €10 for entry. It’s a stupid business of rubbing tourists rather then a religious place. Anyhow we paid and entered but it’s not worth for €10. All I love the dome from inside so beautiful. Other than that nothing touch me.

Absolutely stunning cathedral. It was a marvelous structure with a very solemn feel inside. Beautiful views of the city from the top. Only 10€ to enter.

Nice lawn area out front to relax and enjoy a nice afternoon. Going inside had an immense organ - one of the largest world wide. If you're healthy, take the time to walk up the stairs up the tower to get a great view of Berlin.

This is one of the most beautiful places one can go in Berlin. It is soo beautiful from inside. There is also an option to go to the top to have a nice aerial view of Berlin for which you can take around 270 steps up the Cathedral. There is a cafe and washroom available at the exit, but you can either go up, check the view and come back down or directly exit towards cafe. I would say definitely to check out the view from top. The entry fee is 9 euro for adults, for students 7€. It is better to book the ticket online a day before and you will get 1 hour to spend inside and I think it is sufficient to check out everything.

Arriving in time to hear the organ of the basilica. The building is interesting and worth a visit, but I have seen many more beautifully decorated ones. What you shouldn't miss, however, is a walk around the dome. Fantastic views! You can't take photos or move around during important ceremonies.

Like many cities in Europe, churches feature prominently. Historic churches are common. Berlin Cathedral has a wonderful external appearance, and the interior does not disappoint. I am sure that people of Lutheran faith take great pride in their Berlin Cathedral, and so they should. I was taken by the intricacy of both the outside and inside of the building. It is worth a half hour or more when visiting Berlin.

Berliner Tor is an outstanding structure which is just as beautiful inside as it is outside. To visit, it coats roughly 10 euros each but this is super worth it. You are able to traverse the cathedral and make your way all the way to the top which is super fun! The view from the top is brilliant!

Another must see in Berlin. Its architecture is just breathtaking. We had limited time in the city. So, we unfortunately could not enter but it is in my bucket list for next time. I would love to enjoy the panoramic view and the architecture inside.

Beautiful cathedral steeped in history. The interior has lots of space and light and has immensely amount of details. It's recommended to book for a timed ticket online prior to visiting. You also have the option of travelling up to the sides of the dome (267 steps, with no lift assistance - but highly worth it) which offers spectacular panoramic views of Berlin.

This was one of the top places in Berlin to visit. You had to buy tickets at a machine outside the cathedral. An adult ticket was €9 and got in up to three children for free. The inside was beautiful. But climbing 270 stairs to the dome have beautiful views, with the climb.

September was really great for visiting Berlin and its many attractions. The Berlin Cathedral is certainly one of them that should not be overlooked. I was very happy with the relaxation of the young people, who sat on the lawn in front of the magnificent 200-year-old lady.

This cathedral is spectacular and well worth the 10euro entrance fee. Tickets can be bought on site. We were there in October so it wasn't busy and no wait to get tickets or admitted. If you are up to it, you can climb the 288 steps to the top observation deck however once you start up, there is no turning back. It is a challenging climb and the final sets of staircases are winding and narrow. Take your time. Once at the top the views are wonderful.

Amazing place with a very very good veiw , with a very big park in front of it and the river beside it. There is a beautiful structures , too many people are there. You should go on the weekend. You can enter the cathedral by buying a ticket then enter and go upstairs and see all the city from above.

Beautiful place. Sorrounded also by an art gallery, museum, garden and scenery bridge with markets. The tram connection close by, shopping malls, hotels and restaurants. I just love how the whole place is designed. One stop for tourists and a must see. Great architecture😍🤩

Berlin Cathedral is seriously stunning! Every time I walk by, I can't help but stop and stare. The architecture is incredible - so grand and detailed, it almost looks like something out of a fairytale. Even if you're not super into churches, it's definitely worth checking out the inside - the ceilings are insane, and the view from top is incredible!

There aren’t enough adjectives to describe my reaction upon entering. It was like my eyes received a gift and now they’re forever grateful. Because this gift isn’t just the magnificent beauty, it’s knowing that humans worked meticulously on the finest details. It might have taken an entire generation or more just planning and preparing. Could something similar even be constructed today? And the panoramic view was well worth the 200+ steps. Another very gracious gift this cathedral has offered.

Absolutely stunning cathedral & a must see when visiting Berlin! This is a breathtaking cathedral with cheap tickets for admission, and lockers for bags and coats. There is also a panorama view of the city for which you have to climb around 250 steps but it is totally worth it! There is also a cafe and toilets. The photos attached do not do it justice!

My favorite monument in Berlin. I never went inside but I always enjoyed staring at the gorgeous architecture and well maintained dom whenever I passed by. I could never get enough of it no matter how much I looked at its beauty. Seriously a masterpiece building. The bridge near it and the other historical museum buildings are beautiful and worth seeing as well.

An impressive, elegant building in the very heart of the city, with lots to explore and discover. Beautiful architecture and decorations, and an eerly serene atmosphere inside, which encourages reflection. The €10 entrance ticket includes the 360' panoramic view from the top (267 stairs to climb!!) which really is the cherry on the cake, as you get to see Berlin in all its glory. A great experience which I strongly recommend.

Not a lot to see on the inside. Only worth the 10 Euros if you plan to climb the steps to look out over the city. Gift shop is small with limited offering of items. Coffee shop on site with seating available by river. Restrooms are available for an additional .50 Euros. Somewhat clean but, but charging after paying the entrance fee does not seem necessary. Easily accessible by public transportation. Across the river from the DDR museum. Walkable from the Alexanderplatz tower. Avoid any shell game scams you may encounter in the area.

Unbelievable Building. Beauty Personified. Magical. Owe-Inspiring. Wonder. Thought-Provoking. That's just some of the words that come to mind when you first walk into the Berliner Dom, look up and see the roof. It's an amazing Cathedral in general, we've been to a few, in the UK and all around the world but this was something special. I loved the Alter area with the red and gold and Christmas Tree. We even decided to climb the 264 steps to the roof to get 360 panoramic views of Berlin. Whilst on holiday we've done a few views but this was, by far, the best. Every single angle you got a different picture. Something different to look at. Well worth the climb.

Surpassed our expectations vastly. The staff are lovely and are keen to help where needed and had expert knowledge on Berlin, the view of the dome from inside is incredible and pictures cannot describe it. The walk to the top is well worth it with the obvious note of the 200+ steps it takes to go up and then back down it, however for the cheap entry fee it provided us with a great view of Berlin and of the cathedral.

Lovely architecture. Some of these museums had sections of free exhibits too! You might want to book your tickets early if you have specific exhibitions you want to check out. You can easily spend a whole day around this area if you enjoy visiting museums.

a nice stroll around the island is a must. there are people playing instruments, taking wedding pictures, having a picnic, and basically doing anything possible in an open space.

I was amazed at the size of this place with its museums. This is also one of Berlin’s attractions and if you have time, I would recommend going inside the museums to see the interesting historical collection of various items. Not sure if you can take photos inside, but there are plenty of great scenes outside where you can take really nice and amazing photos. The place is easily accessible by transport U Bahn Museumsinsel. However, on a fine day, you can walk from Potsdam Platz where you can see remains of the Berlin Wall, you can walk all the way to the Museum Island.

This island contains important landmarks and museums. Easy to reach it and to have a walk around. The museums are usually fully booked so it is recommended to buy tickets in advance.

If you like culture this is the most perfect place for you!! The museums are all stunning - the Altes museum is very beautiful, sadly the first floor with the Roman artefacts wasn't open but the Greek section on the ground floor was beautiful. The gift shop is small and cute. The toilets are a bit dirty and run down though. The Neues museum is absolutely amazing - the rooms are so beautiful and the bust of Nefertiti is breathtaking. It has an incredible selection of Egyptian artefacts. Our tickets for the whole museum island were 12€ (student) and 24€ (non student). The gardens at the gallery are also very beautiful. The entire island is a really nice place to spend time at and it is beautiful overall!

Incredible museums, another must if you’re visiting Germany! The history and amount of statues, relics, and paintings they have is some of the largest in the world. Roman and Greek statues, were by far the best part. Berlin Dome was equally incredible. Beware you can by an all-in-one ticket for all museums which can save you a lot of money! Cafes in the museums were great too. Very walkable as well.

It would be easy to spend a month here looking at everything! Spoiled for choice! Galleries, museums, Christmas markets and historic architecture. We would love to return to take it at a leisurely pace.

3 stars only because it's not for everybody, it's an impressive collection but everything and everyone was in complete silence making it uncomfortable to look and share impressions if you are not alone. There's nothing interactive at all in the museum and after seeing 70% of everything, we just left because at the time all sculptures/paintings/objects were about religion christianity. There are lots of young people making studies about pieces as well. So it's definitely a place to study and reflect. Don't expect any tiny drop of fun. Nonetheless visit anyways, at least you can say, "i was there!"

Just amazing and worths not a single visit, but many visits. Requires days to see everything. But it is really unfortunate that Pergamon Museum will be closed for so long, until 2027. I totally understand that it is good that the museum will have renovation. But I would like to see it anyway. Well, there are still many good museums in the island to visit. For example, I went to Altes Museum and spent 2 hours just there. You can also get a discount if you are a student, including university, with a valid ID. I am talking about a 50% off. You can buy separate tickets for museums, but if you will give a day to island, go for the island whole day ticket, so you can visit all the museums for a way cheaper price.

Very beautiful architecture and lively atmosphere. Nice grassed area to sit and enjoy the view with lots of talented artists performing music and other shows. Tip: the first Sunday of every month is free to visit all museums but I would recommend booking online prior otherwise there will be a few hours waiting time or fully booked! I visited the Pergamon Musuem before it will be closed for renovations. Would definitely recommend. Very close to the island is some markets with some beautiful art and other goodies to buy or just admire.

Beautiful zoo animals. Friendly employees, beautiful paths the new predator house is very nice, penguins, giraffes,... Very nice facilities. Several gastronomic facilities invite you to take a break. Feeding times of the animals are on the map and can be found on the net. Also if you want to visit the aquarium make sure to get a combined ticket. But it was a time well spend also the ticket prices were good enough! Buying online is good option rather to wait in queue.

Well designed and lot of open spaces to the animals. We stayed there for 6 hours and have to rush through to complete all areas. They do have a sea lion show but it was OK, not the best of the shows. Still, a good place to spend a day with family.

It's amazing that such a large zoo can exist in the heart of a city. There were so many different animals to see, even after 4 hours I still missed some things. The zoo has a very pleasant cafe/restaurant area with good food and a really nice seating area. The zoo is pretty large so be prepared to walk. Also be aware that the aquarium next door is not part of the zoo and requires a separate admission. The zoo grounds are also very well kept and just as much worth looking at as the animals

Amazing zoo! You'll need at least 5 or 6 hours to get through MOST of it. It's the smaller zoo, but it's still quite big. Some enclosures seemed to be roomy enough, others the animals seemed stressed because it was a small enclosure. The grounds were well kept, and it was VERY clean. Plenty of shade, snacks and animals.

Huge variety of animals in spacious enclosures. Beautifully landscaped with plenty of greenery, making it a pleasant place to spend a whole day. Great for all ages! Don't miss the impressive hippo house with underwater viewing, the sprawling penguin world, and of course, the popular giant panda garden.

Enjoyed about 2 hours of walking around this zoo in early March 2022. On one hand it was nice, on the other hand it was challenging seeing these wild animals stuck for our viewing pleasure. Anyways, it was a beautiful layout, easy to see everything in a couple hours, and a great break in the afternoon from several days of meetings.I can imagine once Spring sets in how beautiful it will be. Really enjoyed the seals!

There are plenty of places to eat inside. It is very organize and friendly for the kids. There is an amazing playground inside. It is pretty easy to walk with the stroller. I will recommend to check the website to see the eating times of the animals and I will highly recommend to buy the tickets online to enter as soon as you arrive. During the weekends is always full but at the weekdays is always nice to go to the playground or walk around. There is also a nice Store at the exit to get some nice souvenirs

The zoo have variety with great day to spend with family or friends, lovely place for kids, a must place to visit in Berlin in any weather. Has multiple options for eating as well. Has penguins as well. Really an mixed variety, I recommend to buy Zoo + Aquarium Ticket. Aquarium is also amazing with multiple fishes In total a very good place to spend your time, kids are certainly going to love the experience..

I really enjoyed walking around this zoo in the nice weather this week, and the animals seemed happy overall. I would highly recommend checking out the night time exhibit under the tigers and other cats along with the panda exhibit! The aquarium is definitely worth a visit to check out the jellyfish too!

A very big zoo right in heart of the city Berlin. We visited the place on Wednesday afternoon. It was not so busy...very small line for ticket, not very crowded inside also. There are lots of birds and animal inside the zoo and the facility to accommodate them is also very good. As a result one has to walk too much to vist all of them. Detail map is there to help you understand the lay out of the zoo. Some of the cages were empty as some renovation work was going on or some animals were not available at that point of time but such were very less instances considering the size of the zoo. So no complaints on that front. It took almost 3.5 hours to finish it without visiting aquarium(They charge it separately for aquarium). Overall good experience especially for children they were excited to see so many different species of animal. Do recommend it. But be prepared to walk. Enjoy.

We were so fortunate to have such a beautiful sunny day! And the best part? We didn't even have to wait in line to buy a ticket at the entrance. We spent a good half of the day there, and let me tell you, it's absolutely massive! You definitely need some time to explore everything, but trust me, it's totally worth it. It felt like a therapeutic experience to see all those incredible animals, and they looked so vibrant and healthy. It's clear that they are being taken excellent care of. Without a doubt, I'll be visiting again in the future.

I had the most amazing experience visiting the zoo in Berlin! It's the biggest zoo I've ever been to, and I was absolutely fascinated by the wide variety of animals and exhibits. From majestic elephants to playful monkeys, there was something for everyone to enjoy. The layout of the zoo was well-planned, making it easy to navigate and explore. Additionally, the food court was fantastic, offering a diverse selection of delicious meals and snacks to fuel my day of adventure. Whether you're a nature enthusiast, animal lover, or simply looking for a fun day out, I highly recommend visiting this zoo.

The 3 stars because the visit was in winter. Else could had been easily 4 stars. Located in heart of Berlin. Yet so close to nature. Avery convenient to reach with public transportation. A perfect getaway for family and especially kids. You get glimpse of wild animals. During sunny summer days visit there would be a treat. However, during winters it was just not that great. It was chilly windy day. Mostly the animals were in their shelters and we hardly sighted anything there. The full entry tickets were just not justified in my opinion, should be reduced for such seasons. Only for that reason would say, 3 stars. Hope we visit back in Summer and possibly few more stars, if we get better glimpses.

Really great zoo at the heart of the city. I suggest going in the morning so the queues are shorter and the animals are more alive. The size of the zoo is just perfect for a couple of hours walk. Lots of eating options and of course some fantastic animals including pandas

The zoo is not big in terms of land size comparing San Diego Zoo or The Toronto Zoo but it does have alot of different spices. The animals' habitats are well organized and decorated. We spent half day there but it wasn't enough. We love the animals feeding sessions by the zookeepers and we enjoyed the petting zone. We fed the goats. The zoo has 4 pandas and the zoo entrance is decorated with the Chinese theme. We enjoyed the visit.

Visiting Berlin's Zoo was an unforgettable experience, marked by well-maintained surroundings and thoughtfully designed enclosures. We spent nearly four hours exploring, even though we skipped some of the lesser attractions and focused on the more exotic ones like Giant Pandas, Tigers, Elephants, Gorillas, Orangutans, Malayan Sun Bears, Penguins, Anteaters and Rhinoceros. The time flew by as we immersed ourselves in the sights and sounds of these magnificent creatures. The outdoor King Penguins were a particular delight, though a word of caution: the inside area had a noticeable stink, so be prepared. The aesthetic appeal of the zoo was enhanced by statues scattered around, offering great photo opportunities. And the petting area, where you can interact with goats and sheep, was an absolute must-visit; a joy for both children and adults alike. In conclusion, Berlin's Zoo is an enriching experience, worth every cent and minute spent. Whether you're an animal lover or just looking for a day of fun, it offers something for everyone.

First of all if you find yourself in Berlin you should definitely come and see it. It is an excellent park with many beautiful trees and the river next to it. Really great scenery. There are enough animals to see in some cases but at a very long distance. In other zoos you can and you see them up close. First time I saw Panda up close thanks to the compared zoo. Really wonderful experience that is worth it.

Enjoyed it big time. We bought bundle tickets for zoo+ aquarium in advance. Spent around 4 hrs in zoo & 1 hr in aquarium in a fast mode. Could easily add another 2 hrs. Very well designed & well preserved zoo. Recommended for tourists as a break in between all museums & buildings visit in Berlin. Petting zoo is a must 😍

Absolutely lovely zoo! A lot of places don't have fences, and it makes me assume that animals live well there. Also, it enriches the experience, you see the animals almost like in a wild.

The Berlin zoo is pretty amazing and if could spend an amazing 3-4 hours here. There are a lot of animals and birds and will take a few hours to cover the entire place. The zoo is very well maintained and very clean. It’s very popular amongst the kids but adults have a great time as well. I would recommend this zoo and spending half a day here. Also, tickets might be purchased online or directly at the zoo counter. The hand out a map of the zoo to make it easier to navigate inside.

Wonderful zoo in a very old and beautifully maintained park in Berlin. Many exotic animals all laid out by region or country they all come from. Perfect weather, zoo had a lot of visitors but had plenty of room to keep moving and see the exhibits. First zoo I have seen in Europe and it was well worth the few Euros.

Family, F(31) M(30) toddler (20months) Visited just before Christmas and was expecting the zoo to be busy - far from it! We had basically the place to ourselves. Many of the cafes etc were closed for winter season, but the central restaurant was open, offering delicious German food and snacks... (and English alternatives for fussy eaters!) There are a couple of children's playgrounds too. Toilet and baby change facilities were clean and easy to find. Reasonably priced for a family day out. We spent a good 5 hours looking around with a stop for lunch. Lots of great animals that you can get up close to. Also easy to travel to with a train station literally across the road. We bought the joint ticket with admission to the Aquarium. This was a nice addition on a rainy day and our toddler loved it.

Very big and cool zoo! Many different animals to look at. Especially meeting the animals close by, was very fun. My only concern is that all the elephants was standing by the closed doors. Looked like they wanted to go in side, but we’re held outside. Hope they were doing fine.

Fantastic. Amazing. Unbelievably Beautiful Animals. So happy that we decided to visit. One of the best Zoo's I've been to: mainly because of the variety of animals we saw and how well they seem to be looked after. They all had loads of space and looked happy. As for variety we saw Elephants, Giraffes and for the first time in my life Pandas. It only took us 2 hours, not including the Aquarium.

At the centre of the city, the Berlin zoo is located. Easy to reach there by public transport also has sufficient parking spaces. Having an online ticket entry to the zoo is much quicker and avoids the ticket counter queue. A variety of animals impress indeed. The kids were so happy. It also houses a kids park.

Really nice and informative museum. Kids enjoyed the interactive parts of the museum and they were very engaged during their stay. It can be a bit overwhelming with all the information about the history, and at least for us we were missing some structure as how to approach all of this information. However it didn’t affect our whole impression of the museum.

Pretty decent but very warm.. Does not appear to have aircon. Lots of lifting of heavy flaps to peer at info. Trabant driving simulator not working. Certainly very informative and did explain several facts that were puzzling us about the division after the war.

Maar de opzet is imho niet geslaagd omdat het 1. kinderachtig 2. te klein 3. te druk 4. te donker 5. vaak ongeschikt om mooie foto's te maken dus 6. grotendeels mislukt als toonaangevend museum. Zou veel meer van te maken zijn. Wel interessant en de moeite waard voor de liefhebber mits deze genoegen neemt met bovenstaande ongemakken. But the design is imho not successful because it is 1. childish 2. too small 3. too busy 4. too dark 5. often unsuitable for taking beautiful photos, so 6. largely fails as a leading museum. Much more could be made of it. Interesting and worth it for the enthusiast, provided he or she accepts the above inconveniences.

Very interesting museum about life in East Berlin (East Germany) post WWII. Great atmosphere with a lot of information and interactive exhibits. I personally really enjoyed the apartment set up at the end of the museum tour. So cool to see how people lived during that time inclusive of TV shows you can watch that demonstrated what East Germans could watch and what West Germans could watch. This is well worth a visit while in Berlin.

If you are curious about the old East Germany, you should definitely see it. You should see how life was, how propaganda was. The museum design is very good. Interactive screens come out of the cabinets and drawers. The simulation of driving around the streets of Germany is nice, but I wish the old technology would do VR or something. Be sure to see it. If you have a Berlin card, you can travel at a discount.

Excellent museum, just opposite museum island. €13 entry, was good value as there is so much here to do. Lots of interactive and thought provoking displays. You could get in the Trabant and pretend to drive it. Brilliant mock up a typical DDR flat in Berlin, with a scary lift experience too! Lots of flaps to lift, plenty of information in English. Nice toilets too.
