This is by far for me the most beautiful and interesting museum i have ever been in my life. Amazing design, top of the art paintings, polite personnel that lets you take pictures. Keep in mind that you have to book your visit in advance. Amazing experience! I definitely recommend this place while you visit Amsterdam.

A visit of a lifetime. The whole experience visiting Van Goh museum was exceptional. The museum itself is big enough to accommodate a big crowd. Purchasing tickets is ideal, this gives you a quick pass at the entrance. Audio guide is included for free, I suggest that you should have this during your tour as it is a very nice tool to really understand what you are looking at. So much stories to tell from the Audio guide. The main lobby is so big and airy. Lockers are available for your large items / back packs. 2 boutiques are available and also small coffee shop. There are few benches inside the exhibition so you can relax and sit and enjoy listening to your audio guide. We arrived in the morning slot, therefore there’s not much of crowd. We took public transit to go there. Get ready your feet, as there are several floor levels for you to explore. Nice comfy shoes is recommended. Very impressive museum.

Fantastic gallery that is really well laid out and easy to explore. The displays are beautiful and I highly recommend the audio tour to provide additional commentary on key pieces of art. Two hours was the ideal amount of time to explore the permanent collection, however, the temporary exhibition is also huge so we didn't have the time to take all of this in. I'd recommend allowing half a day if you want to see everything.

A dream come true to visit this beautiful museum and see most of Van Gogh’s masterpieces. The audio guide worked wonderfully - definitely worth getting if you plan on visiting. The layout of the museum was great - never felt a space was too crowded or cramped.

Very educational. It was worth spending all afternoon here. Having the audio narrator was a good choice. The gift shops have plenty of merchandise to satisfy all age groups with the price ranges. The staffs were sufficient and informative. There were plenty of bathroom stalls, and it was fairly clean. Going up and down the stairs in the main exhibit halls were a bit difficult for people with physical disabilities. I wish there were more seating.

I absolutely loved it. I bought tickets for early in the morning so there weren’t too many people visiting. The lockers were a bit confusing at first but somehow I worked through it 😅 You can take photos of all paintings, which is great too. I had an audio guide and I think it was helpful but you could just as well get the same information without it.

€11 for students with valid ID card on the weekdays, beneficial to keep on mind as you can save around €10-11. It was a great experience overall. Worth every penny. Massive queue outside but goes really fast. The Starry Night painting is not here but in Paris, so don’t be disappointed.

They are very well preserved and to see the painting strokes at a close proximity will be a painter's delight. Even people with no knowledge of art can get inspired by the master pieces in display. There's also a bookstore, souvenir shop and a small cafeteria inside. Toilet facilities also available. Can easily spend around 2-3 hours in this museum.

There was a queue even though we had booked out tickets online before hand but it was moving relatively quick. Buy your tickets in advance because it's almost always sold out!

I spent 12 days in Amsterdam, and this was one of the highlights of my trip. The museum is absolutely stunning! I bought my ticket several weeks ahead of time and scanned the mobile ticket on my phone to get in. I spent a bit over two hours and enjoyed every moment. It was a bit crowded (I was there on a Friday afternoon), but don't let the crowds deter you from going because it's amazing.

The museum building itself is amazing to see. You have to book in advance and we decided to go with the audioguide, which was a good choice as there are not a lot of descriptions to the paintings on the wall. However, the numbers of the paintings are not in order on the audioguide, which makes it a little inconvenient to use. Also these is no paper map of the museum that shows a suggested way to visit each floor. All in all: a nice museum and worth the visit. But could use a little more “old school” ways to make the museum more accessible.

Sundays are better because there are less people. Purchase the ticket in advance and enjoy a lineless entry. With lockers for backpack ans big bags, they have wonderful stores to purchase books and also souvenirs. Take your time to appreciate classical images. Purchase the tickets online as they are usually sold out in the museum.

Loved my experience here. Note that you must book online and ahead of time. And be prepared for crowds. Excellent tribute to Van Gogh's life. All his famous works are here, including sunflowers and self portraits. The Versailles exhibition is a nice extra. Audio guide is truly excellent. Lockers provided, excellent gift shop, cafes & restaurants, plenty of seats. No negatives except for the crowds.

It was one of the best art museums I've been to. It also coincided that they had Pokémon scavenge hunt event going at the same time which made it even better. Strongly recommend audio guide as it's adding a lot to the story.

Amazing museum, such a good experience to see well-known paintings. Definitely buy your tickets in advance, as they had sold out the day we visited and we wouldn't have been able to get in otherwise. As they limit sales, it was busy but not too crowded.

One of the best curated museum experiences I have ever had. Really amazing how they have and show the collection ranging from throughout his 10 years of painting. I love how they include works by contemporaries who influenced him as well as biographical material. Really beautiful experience!

Must see museum in Amsterdam. Spent the morning enjoying all of the masterpieces on display. Self led audio tour was great and was able to learn a lot about Van Gogh’s life as an artist and see other artists paintings that inspired him. Interesting and sad to see how his paintings changed as his mental health declined over time. Really enjoyed my time here. Highly recommend.

An incredible museum dedicated to one of my favorite painters. The cafe upstairs has great drinks. The exhibits are incredible. Oh, and there are plenty of gift stores around where I spent all my money. Totally worth it.

Definitely a must to visit in Amsterdam. So much to see I used the audio tour guide which was really helpful and encouraged me to take time to learn more about the art. Lockers for coats and bags was a wee stroke of genius and gift shop has so mich choice.

The museum is beautiful. A must-go for every Van Gogh admirer. It's easy to find. The tram station is right across the street. The museum itself is rather spacious, so even with many people around, we had no problem moving around. Still, it is best to bring lots of time. We spent three hours at the museum and didn't see everything!

One of the best museums experience I have been to (the other one being Ellis Island in NY/NJ). The artwork on display isn't of course the entire work of Van Gogh, but it is very extensive. The best part is, it is crafted into a story, easy to understand for laymen and can be completed in 2-3 hours. P.S. Please book tickets in advance, I saw a few people being denied entry as they did not have tickets.

Incredible multi-level museum dedicated to the master Vincent Van Gogh. Founded by his nephew, the space houses a large collection of the artist’s famous pieces as well as many pieces by his contemporaries. Well curated display tells the story of his life and the various stages of his mastery. Definitely worth checking out while visiting Amsterdam. Make sure you reserve your tickets in advance and the audio guide is a must to get the full experience. The museum also two large gift shops and a café. Plan on spending at least 2 hours browsing through the galleries.

Fantastic museum celebrating Van Gogh's life and paintings. So much to see and understand, you can spend many hours looking around. There is a restaurant / cafe when you need to take a break. There are also lockers to put bags and coats in.

This is one of the most beautiful museum I visited. It's very well organized in sections that bring you through the life of the artist. It makes comparisons with his time and explains well society and art of contemporary artists. I found moving the familiar relationships and the influence in Vincent's life explained through many letters to the brother you can see at the museum. Thoroughly enjoyable experience

It was a moving place but couldn't help feeling it was more about just collecting money. Its a "do once" experience in my opinion. No photos allowed inside. Make sure you book in advance as you can only get in if you book. And dont forget your identification that matches what you bought the ticket with otherwise you will be refused entry.

This place was great. I just wish we could have taken pictures. It was a place of very high security everywhere. Very touching, inspiring, amazing, gut wrenching. Had goosebumps going through some of the displays. The museum was very well planned out and impressive. It took us about an hour and a half. As one would expect it was a very emotional experience, haunting but the museum have beautifully done tribute to Anne, her family and friends that lived thier last years in the annex and as sad as it is everyone who gets the opportunity to should experience going, as hearing Anne's story is so so very important.

After the tour, there is a full coffee bar and book shop. For a child who longed for the sun and window with a view. This inclusive audio tour finishes in a wonderful view on the city. I checked two carry on sized bags at not cost, but they are subject to security check. Staff was very professional and multilingual. Please plan your tickets in advance to this unique exhibit. Then make your way the Spinoza statue, the Jewish Ghetto , and the Theater to learn about the human experiences of the Holocaust. Please don’t be alarmed by the extra security around the building. The rise of antisemitism is ever present. Be mindful and vigilant.

Anne Franks House is a great place to visit if you are a fan of history or have read the Anne Frank Story. It is very sad place to visit, there is a lot of stairs to walk up and it is very steep going up to Anne franks home at the top, just something to keep in mind but it’s definitely worth it. The staff are great and very helpful.

The 30 min introduction tour is a must have for any Anne Frank fan. Our guide was great at explaining all the information! It gives a look at her life that makes the actual tour so much more engaging and meaningful. No photos are allowed inside the actual house but the audio guide gives enough information. I wish they posted the guide numbers in a better position as sometimes people would gather around it making it difficult to get too. Overall, it was sobering to walk through the house, seeing it with my own eyes after reading about it.

Really well-curated and well-maintained museum that tugs at your heartstrings while also being extremely educational. There's an audio guide provided, which really helps to immerse you in the history of the place. Definitely a must-visit when you're in Amsterdam and worth booking well in advance, especially during peak seasons. We went in February so tickets were not as in-demand, and we were able to get tickets within a week before going.

It was very difficult to get tickets for the museum tour plus the introductory program but so well worth it! Having the context of the life of Anne Frank added to the overall experience. This place is so well done. It is respectful to the memory of what happened here. Take time to really think about the actions of what took place in this very spot. It will hopefully help you gain a new perspective on the grave horrors and the unimaginable kindness of humanity.

We were so fortunate to be successful in purchasing tickets via the Anne Frank Website in order to be able to visit this museum. We paid for an English Speaking Introduction prior to the tour, which enabled us to take a few limited photos prior to entering the museum itself. The tour is very humbling, and brings home the horrific circumstances faced by the Jews during the War. There is an audio guide included in the price, in multiple languages, you scan it at various locations as you proceed through Anne Franks House. The attention to detail is phenomenal, this has been on my list of places to visit for many years, and I can only say it's worth every penny and effort to secure tickets. Photos and filming are prohibited, which helps preserve the museum in its original state, you also focus all your attention on the experience. The cafe is reasonably priced, and very much needed after absorbing all the information regarding how 8 people had to live in secret in order to avoid capture. Heartbreakingly, they were discovered and were put on the last train to the concentration camps! It wrenches at your heart. The shop has a selection of quality items including copies of her diary, a diary which should be read, even if it's the only Diary you read.

Everyone has heard of Anne Frank, so this review focuses on the practicalities. Tickets have to be purchased in advance and are only available from the official website. Tickets are released every Tuesday at 10am UK time six weeks in advance. They offer a 30min introduction which we purchased and felt was worthwhile to set everything in context for the other people in our group. You then get taken downstairs to the main entrance where you collect your audio guide. Point the device at the numbers in the rooms to hear the audio. Be warned! Lots of steps when you get into parts of the original house. No spoilers as far as the house is concerned but it's well worth the visit. We felt numbers were controlled well even though a few rooms got a little congested. There is a cafe on site with lovely views over the canal.

Better to buy the tickets in advance (ideally weeks, months before) it's quite crowded and you are not allowed to take photos inside. You also gave >A4 size bags free of charge at the cloakroom. If you read her book/ diary "the secret annex" and know her, it definitely worth the visit. Even you don't know, would be nice to see how the world changes and the history with dictatorship. Also how the lives of innocent people can drastically change and end with a decision. I like that they didn't only showed Anne Frank's story but also the family, helpers, the politics at that time, photos and video recordings. It took us exactly 2 hours because we didn't want to miss any detail. If you have problems with walking, it might be difficult to visit this place due to narrow stairs and lots of walking.

Make sure to get your tickets before your trip. We got ours about 5 weeks before our visit. If you go, get tickets with the introduction lecture. It is about 40 minutes and is well worth the time.

What an incredible & emotional journey you go through visiting this museum. We visited Amsterdam for the day & this was the only thing we really wanted to do. Visiting in Jan was perfect as we did not pre-purchase tickets at all (which typically you have to do) & It was not busy, so you could actually absorb the intensity of the museum & not feel rushed or crowded. We arrived at 1830 & had tickets for the 1900 entrance time & we purchased at that moment online. (All purchases are online only) If you know when you will be there, definitely purchase in advance but if you're not sure & you are visiting during the off season, then you can purchase when you get around that area. Definitely take your time walking around & make this a 'must do' if you find yourself in Amsterdam. You will not regret it. Then, go around the corner to visit the statue of Anne Frank, as seen in these photos.

It's definitely worth visiting if you are able to. If tickets are sold out, keep trying up until you visit the City at different times. I was luckily able to grab some tickets when more were released a week before my visit.

Those who like to know about history must visit, really well done by sharing personalised items, Anne place, hiding room, the famous bookshelf, all original. Loads of video clips and so much more to look if you are interested. Those who know the history will be really emotional ride for them. Shops inside to buy related things, a cafe available for cold and hot drinks and bit food and snacks available. Two toilets, but they are both gender neutral.

Such an emotional and moving tour. It was a special experience to be able to listen to the audios of the Frank family and friends who aided them in the resistance and who helped protect them. Audio Guide: During the tour, you are guided through the Anne Frank house with the help of the audio speaker, which is in multiple languages. My friends and I somehow found tickets due to an opening but they were sold out even a month before.

A good audio tour that was easy to follow and was interesting to hear some first-hand accounts from Anne Franks father and other family friends as well as see the actual secret including original ladder & countertop. Gave a real idea of what I’d read about and cool to see her actual diary pages as well. They estimate tour takes about an hour and that was spot on - we went through all the audio tour stops and saw/read the various exhibits and were done in exactly an hour. Easy to follow and everyone directed clearly on next place to go etc. Be prepared to climb some very steep stairs.

Deeply moving. So amazing to see where the Frank family hid and view Anne's diaries. The briefing ahead of time was well worth it! Must book as soon as the dates open online to get a spot. No photos in the museum, but they are allowed in the briefing ahead of time.

This is more memorial than a museum. Very few belongings of Anna Frank were spared, so in the museum you mostly see the rooms where it all happened, plus the famous diary. It is highly recommended to read Anna's diary prior to visit; being more informed, you can better "feel" the place. The photography is not allowed inside (which is quite unusual for Dutch museum). It is very important to buy tickets well in advance on their website (I mean, months in advance): the museum is extremely popular and quite small, so all tickets are gone very quickly and there is essentially zero chance to buy them on the day of the visit.

Coming from the U.S. we don't have as much art as in Europe. This experience was fantastic. In a solo trip I was able to walk through the entire museum. One day is not enough. I love Dutch and Flemish art. They have highly skilled artists (more than the German, the British, the Spanish, and even in my opinion also better than the French and the Italians. I'd love to visit again and slowly melt away in the beauty of Dutch Art.

Absolutely the best and a must visit museum in Amsterdam. Some of the world's most famous paintings are housed here. You can also see huge collection from, Masters lake Van Gogh Rembrandt, etc. Whether you are an art enthusiast or a student of art, You should not miss this museum. There is also a very comprehensive library inside.

Take the full day here. It has so much stuff and so many rooms. We did the special exhibit and effectively one floor and it took us about 3 hours, and it wasn't like we were just taking our time. Take the day. Don't rush. Enjoy yourself.

Great display of impressive paintings, everything is neat and tidy, and has a decently stocked shop. It’s easily accessible from almost everywhere in Amsterdam. The main drawbacks: the security people at the entrance were super rude, snappy, and not helping at all; most people were entering the museum already frowning; the layout/navigation: there’s a noticeable lack of basic information on where to go, where you are, etc.

My family and I had an amazing visit! I strongly recommend booking tickets ahead of time directly from the museum website. Book the first 0900 opening tickets. You get a little time in the museum where it is not as crowded. If going to a special exhibit (like Frans Hals), book your entry time the same as your entrance. It will save you time by going straight to the special exhibit. The Frans Hal exhibit is not far from the entrance. The cafe was nice and easy. It looked busy but we were able to be seated quickly. You can pick to order and pay through the app. The cafe was welcomed after being on your feet most of the time. We saw most of the museum in under 3 hours including time in the cafe but we did not dwell too long in once place. The museum is art and a lot of historical items too! Something for everyone.

Fantastic museum, if you are a museum geek and wanna see everything one day is not sufficient trust me , on top of that they have awesome cafe (really yum items to try on). I hear they have restaurant too inside which was closed due to covid precautions. Museum also has app where u can hear about the museum items instead standing a reading there. They have got lockers & hanger room all free of cost.

Wow! I needed lots and lots of time to go through this amazing art museum!! I recommend getting tickets on line. Lots of greats are on display! So many great works that I need to go back and spend another day! Great audio tour! Bring your headphones so you can listen in on your personal phone!

Absolutely loved it. Tickets were easy to order with QR codes at the door, the tour was also easily accessible via a QR code that downloaded an app. I would recommend bringing your own headphones/earphones to listen to the tour (else you would have to rent a headset and audio guide). All artwork was properly honored and given spotlight to.

Great museum, easy to reach and some very interesting displays. Beautiful building worth the trip just to see the facade. The building is beautiful also with a nice garden in the back. The gift shop and restaurant are also excellent. You can skip the cost for the audio guide since it is also available from a free app I don't think the great art needs any additional reviews but the collection is certainly impressive. Book your ticket online and would recommend going first thing in the morning. It gets quite crowded as the day goes on. Plan a minimum of two hours but you could easily spend four there.

We got there early on a Saturday and it felt like great timing. The museum is large and is a long activity if you want to get through everything. The space is absolutely gorgeous and I think they are some of the best at lighting the works. Everywhere felt perfectly lit and the frames and paintings all jumped off the walls at you. Totally clean and stunning. The gift shop was nice as well. I wish the gift shop had more stickers.

First, the building is really beautiful. Add to that, the art inside is amazing and diverse. Sure, they have Van Gogh and Rembrandt, but they have prayer nuts that will blow your mind and a library that is an architectural work of art. If you buy a year's membership, you don't have to worry about timed entry and I think museums live this deserve our support.

Always enjoy this museum; impressive, well organized and friendly staff. This time we visited the really great Frans Hals exhibition and did a quick tour in the special collections department. No way you can everything in the museum in one day!

Had a great time at this museum. I like the free lockers (if you can get one as it’s usually pretty packed) to leave all of your bulky items behind so you can wander through the museum unencumbered. I was mostly fascinated by all the paintings and sculptures. The dishware was just too beautiful not to take a picture. Spent at least 2 hours in here, definitely worth it to go if you get a chance.

Probably the best museum in Amsterdam. Clearly the most famous paintings are in the gallery of honor, but we saw lots of other interesting works. There are audio guides that allow you to do just the highlights or to type in a number in front of a picture. We spent about three hours here and could have spent more. Definitely recommend.

An exceptional museum. Tram 5 best for us Well laid out easy to navigate. Cheaper to download app book on line and choose a time slot. No great wait to enter. Two issues to be to be aware of their painting The Night Watch is undergoing restoration and is partly obscured by equipment monitoring vibration. Essential I know but lessens impact of the painting Secondly if you need lift to access the floors there are only two and there can be a queue. Cafe/restaurant is very nice limited vegetarian menu but is okay. 10% off in the gift shop when you have downloaded their app. But a must when you visit.

Truly magnificent art on display. A great museum experience for all ages combing art and Dutch history. We visited with children and they lived both the main art exhibitions as well as the children's activities. One minor issue is the food available, its expensive and not very varied, considering that people spend a whole day here, more family friendly food options would be welcome. All in all a must visit if you are in the area, a truly memorable experience.

Mind blowing experience. It was one of the finest museums I've ever been to. It's such a superb collection of art. Paintings, porcelain, statues, and many other kinds. It is well laid out, with each section coming from a specific time period. It's heavy on the religious art, but that's to be expected. I was here for 3 hours, and I couldn't take it all in. A full day is needed. Lockers are hard to get as they fill quickly, so better to use the cloakroom. The cafe & restaurant are always full, so good luck getting a seat. The building is absolutely stunning and easy to find. The Van Gogh museum is nearby. I suggest booking your tickets online to save double queues.

This is a great place to come see historical objects and art work. Plan to spend several hours here as the collection is expansive. Recommend buying your tickets in advance. Easy to get to off the team.

Heel veel te zien. Een aantal bijzondere werken. De afdeling hedendaagse kunst (op zolder) is niks maar de rest wel top. Zelfs zoveel dat geven moment niet meer echt aan kijken was. Garderobe was wel druk zeker bij jas/tas ophalen zag pas later dat er ook gewoon kluisjes en kapstokken zijn dus had het daar kunnen hangen ipv bij de "bewaakte garderobe" (Translated by Google) Lots to see. A number of special works. The contemporary art department (in the attic) is nothing, but the rest is great. So much so that for a moment it was no longer really worth watching. The cloakroom was busy, especially when picking up the coat/bag. Only later did I see that there are also lockers and coat racks, so it could have hung there instead of in the "guarded cloakroom"

One of the coolest and most beautiful museums I’ve been seen. The outside is truly majestic and beautiful, but the inside left me speechless. The inside of the museum is breathtaking. I really recommend visiting this museums if you ever go to Amsterdam. It’s completely worth a trip.

Fun sized museum that you can get through in less than four hours. The special exhibit was educational and they had descriptions on all of the trinkets. The first floor is split in half so you can only access the other half by going up or down a floor. The ship models are very intricate and gave me admiration on the hard work involved. The night watch exhibit was spectacular to see as well, spanning an entire museum wall!

We booked a tour of the museum's highlights and it was fantastic. It seems essential to explore with a guide, even an audio guide if a scheduled tour isn't available. We booked directly through the museum's official website and arrived 10 minutes early at the meeting point as the tour starts on time. "The Night Watch" by Rembrandt was a standout, along with three Van Gogh paintings. Highly recommended if you're in Amsterdam.

Lovely museum. Took the one hour guided tour which went by quickly. Do wish they had a longer version. Definitely confusion as to where to enter the museum. Asked a staffer and entered the queue. After a bit, another person came by and had us exit the queue as we weren't part of the group. The museum had a very large elevator, which was helpful for people with wheeled devices. Outside has some lovely flowers.

A must see in Amsterdam for the art enthusiasts. An online booking is mandatory and you have to arrive at a specified time but once inside you can visit freely. The museum itself is very big and a full day is necessary to visit all the galleries and exhibitions. Do take a floor-map at the reception to not get lost in there -the different rooms are not always clearly indicated! The cafe inside also offers a few dishes that remain fairly accessible given the location and make for a nice 4pm pause in between the visit.

I had repurchased tickets for the museum, but our flight was delayed and were late. I didn’t expect them to help us, but they let us in with no issue. The building and art on display was absolutely lovely! We were so pleased. If I return, I’ll try to go on a less busy day.

Classic! Plan to spend 2-4 hours depending on how much you want to spend scrolling through the items, reviewing them in depth. They have detailed placards for a good number of exhibits highlighting the origin and key things to notice. Night Watch by Rembrandt is of course the main highlight!! Lots to learn, observe and appreciate.

Stayed nearby in April 2024 this year and was marvelled by the architecture of the Rijksmuseum. On first sight it looks like a castle. It's very majestic ✨️ and regal even if it is a museum. Unfortunately during my short break, I didn't have enough time to visit and go inside the museum but would love to come back one day and do that. The garden was wonderful. The tulips 🌷 were in full bloom and a splendid array of colour. The water fountain ⛲️ is a fun feature. I had a good time taking lots of pictures. The Arches to pass through are a amazing feat of architecture. What a beautiful place. For anyone visiting, even if you don't have time to go inside the museum, take in the exterior architecture of the Rijksmuseum and garden. Very beautiful place.

The museum is for sure impressive if you are into art. For me the building itself was very interesting to visit as it’s really large. But a lot of the paintings there look pretty much the same (sorry art fans). So you should decide on your own if the entrance fee is worth it. You can for sure spend hours in there as it’s really huge and spread across different floors

Handig, zo een museumjaarkaart, dacht ik vandaag. Zo kan je zomaar even tussendoor tijdens een verloren uurtje een museumpje pakken... Ik kwam er echter achter dat je tegenwoordig eerst moet checken of een museum een tijdslot hanteert. Bij de ingang werd ik verzocht eerst online uit te zoeken wanneer ik het pand mocht betreden. Dat bleek 45 minuten later te zijn. Eenmaal binnengekomen wilde ik doorlopen naar de tijdelijke tentoonstelling, maar ook daar werd ik bij de ingang verzocht om een tijd te reserveren. Laat maar zitten, dacht ik. Dan ga ik de werken van de andere oude meesters maar weer eens bekijken. Voor de verbouwing van het Rijksmuseum botste je a.h.w. bij de ingang al tegen de Nachtwacht aan. Deze keer kon ik 'm echter niet zo snel vinden. Enige tijd later kwam ik tot de conclusie dat je tegenwoordig zonder plattegrond van het museum niet kan weten waar wat is en dat je voor het bekijken van de Nachtwacht het atrium moet doorkruisen en naar de 2e verdieping moet gaan. Daar stond 'ie dan, de Nachtwacht. In een glazen kubus. Rondom de kubus stonden ondanks het tijdslot drommen met mensen, waardoor het een toer was om het schilderij überhaupt te kunnen zien, dus ik liet de Nachtwacht al snel links liggen. De rest van het bezoek verliep goed. Te goed. Want het museum herbergt een enorme hoeveelheid schatten, die allen de moeite waard zijn om bekeken te worden. Voor het bekijken van al deze tentoongestelde schatten moet je niet een uurtje, maar uren uittrekken. Advies: reserveer online kaarten, ook als je in het bezit bent van een museumjaarkaart, neem een dagdeel de tijd voor een bezoek aan dit museum, trek makkelijke schoenen aan een gebruik een plattegrond (verkrijgbaar bij de balie). Beautiful spot of greenery in the midst of the city. Lovely lakes and features. Great to walk around or to sit down and take in the scenery. Perfect for a picnic on a warm day. Wide obvious paths and lovely ducks about in the water too.

A beautiful park in the center of Amsterdam! There’s a playground with a little water for kids to play in, and you can hike and bike through the entire park! We pick nicked there for lunch and it was absolutely perfect.

A lovely park that is very popular with the locals with lots of various restaurants/bars along with spaces for outdoor events And big enough to still have some lovely quiet places around the various ponds The paths are flat and firm but there can be lots of puddles if it rains

Best park to go if you are around the center of Amsterdam. Great variety of animals, long paths for bikes to ride in the nature. Plenty of nice spots to sit and enjoy the surroundings. Very beautiful park, especially if you like birds or bird watching. The bodies of water in this park contain many beautiful waterfowl. There are beautiful geese, ducks, coots, herons, crows, and magpies here. As an American, many of the species present here (especially the geese and magpies) were something of a novelty. There is also a lovely rose garden within the park with a variety of different-colored roses.

Nice city park that offers some refuge from the concrete jungle. Great for walks, photography and just creating your thoughts.

Nice City Park not far from the city center. We stayed in a hotel nearby so I went on a morning run. The lanes around the park are white and and the course is flat. From the northern entrance gate around all the park and back it is about 5 km. Many areas for picnic and a small playground.

Very nice park with a fountain at the centre. Nice stroll. Could be a little busier during mornings due to people running or jogging. In the middle of a nice, upmarket neighbourhood.

We were there at the end of February, so probably not the most beautiful time. But overall, it was pleasant, safe, flat, scenic. Pretty much everything a city park should be. The playgrounds and open green space for sport left a little to be desired. Keep an eye out for the green parrots!

It’s a walk path in the center of the Amsterdam. The fact is it is very crowded. There is not a single spot in the park which is quite . If the weather is good there are even more people.If you are person who wants some quite/ silent time than this place is not for you. But if you are living in a city than you have no option. P.s there are no children parks as well.

That was amazing. Especially you may prefer to biking in there in the morning and have a cup of coffee. There are some nice place for foods and drinks. If you don't know amsterdam and if you don't trust yourself for biking on the street this is the best place.

Amazing experience - so so worth it! My boyfriend wanted to visit here, but I enjoyed it as well and it ended up being our favourite Amsterdam activity. The museum is interesting, and has a lot of interactive parts + guided rooms. Their tour guides were entertaining and knowledgeable. You end up getting 3 beers included with your tickets per person, and you can even have a go pouring your own drink. Overall, so so worth the price of the ticket. Highly recommend!!

Highly exceeded expectations! Really interactive, great staff, and a lot of effort that had gone into it. You'll get lots of cool photos (if you want) for souvenirs, but the gift store is not to be missed either. Definitely get the rooftop add-on as well!

Visited with a big group and was excited as had heard a lot of positive reviews about the place, but it kind of didn't live upto the hype. I had the notion that you get to see actual beer getting manufactured and they also have a session on beer like how to pour a proper glass etc. But it's more like a museum. A few games and activities were okayish. You get 2 tokens which can be used to get 2 glass of beers in a good pub like setting which was fun. But overall if you are on a short trip would rather go for a cruise or enjoy some of the cafes instead of visiting this place

This is a review of the VIP experience. From start to finish, the whole experience was amazing. A small group (5-8 people) provided a nice tour of the facility with areas not seen with the standard tour. The guide we had was fantastic, and the tasting in the private bar was superb. I would definitely recommend the VIP tour for those who like Heineken or just love touring beer breweries.

Really enjoyable experience, loved the enthusiasm from all the staff there and was very interesting to learn all about the amazing Heineken beer. I am a huge fan of the beer and also the branding. Love the new rooftop bar, definitely worth a trip and a nice cocktail too. We really enjoyed it, and it was my second time there too, I would go again as it really is a great experience. Very well done guys, enjoyed the perfect pour competition down in the bar after too. Security were friendly and helpful too, great time. Thanks guys :)

Great tour. I could BARLEY believe we were going to do the tour but we HOPped on the metro from Amsterdam Central to the brewery. WATER way to spend a few hours. The tour was fun and interactive and the staff were great and a few nice beers too. The rooftop is a must for a few extra euros and the views really are a YEAST for the eyes. Would recommend to all.

We had an awesome time at the Heineken museum - not what I expected at all. Many interactive guides along the way and a chance to taste the beer at different stops. The best part of the tour was the pouring challenge at the very end of the tour. A fun place to go with friends or with beer lovers!

Had a great experience here. Wasn't the biggest fan of Heineken in the US because it had a metallic taste (to me), drinking it out of a bottle. But the beer here, right out of the tap and obviously fresher, was very good and crisp. My wife even liked it and she is not a beer drinker. In terms of the tour itself, was very informative and interesting. Had different rooms where you could see their sponsorships of futbol and formula one, kettle brewing process, a virtual video of the bottling process, and an interactive sound/light area. At the end of the tour, you go to their bar where you get to enjoy two more glasses of beer. Overall, was a good time with lots of interaction.

So much fun. Recommend if you drink or not as they have non alcoholic options. Nice to see the history and lots of free pictures and videos to take. Will definitely go again.

This place is Must visit! This is the best Museum that I visited so far. There is a lot of fun at the end of the Museum. At first you learn about the history how they made and transfer the beer and at the end you take photos, videos you can join to the games. There was a contest if you fill your glass perfect beer you get 2 glass of beer.

This place is truly an experience - a must go, when in Amsterdam. The factory is pretty cool and shows the entire history and process of the beer, and the staff is very nice and knowledgable as well. Of course you get an ice cold Heineken at the end of the tour, and it really does taste better when you're there. Say what you want about other big brand beers, but Heineken - at least in The Netherlands - still holds up nicely. Good spot for a tour.

Absolutely brilliant visit. We bought our tickets online in advance as we knew wanted to visit. We went at 10.30 when it opened. There are free lockers for your bags and you can also check your coats before beginning the tour. The staff were so upbeat, friendly, energetic, knowledgeable and funny. I cannot rate them highly enough! There are several different part to the tour which explains the history behind the beer and how it is made. You also get a free audio guide that you can scan using your phone and listen in the language of your choice. You are given a token for 2 half pints at the end of the tour. A fantastic experience from start to finish. I would thoroughly recommend a visit.

This was probably the best experience here on our trip in Amsterdam . It’s been on our list for over five years and we finally got to experience it in March. We went on a weekday and there wasn’t any line is we had tickets in advance. We got there in a timely manner, and everybody was professional. From the security guard, to the person taking your jacket, to everyone that was giving the tour. It was super informational and gave us a lot of background history on the family as well as a family business. We got an inside look of how the beer was made and how it’s still being produced. It was an interactive museum with a lot more offering than what we were expecting. This is one of the highlights of my trip. We spent approximately 90 minutes taking the tour and at the end had two beers with the complementary with the general admission ticket. I would highly recommend this to anyone visiting Amsterdam. It’s the perfect mix between a history, an interactive museum, a Brewery and a tasting room ! Worth every penny

Absolutely loved the Heineken Experience. We had a great time. The tour was really interesting and I learnt a lot about the process of making beer. We were provided with lots of samples beer. I remember that it was 2 glasses by the end of the visit (before corona) and last time it was only one glass.

The Heineken Experience is one of its kind. Don’t worry if you haven’t purchased your tickets in advance, you can also go there and purchase it. The tour is on an average 90 minute long unless you like to read each placard and take pictures in every spot. There are group slots available each 15 minutes. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Overall, the tour is very commercialized, but in a good way of course.

I had a great time at the Heineken Experience! I visited on a Monday at 11:00, and there was no line to enter. The staff members were super nice and friendly, which added to the positive atmosphere. Staying on the front line allowed me to hear and see everything that was happening, providing a more immersive experience. It was a great way to catch all the information. The timing of the beer servings was spot on. The first beer was served exactly when I was ready to enjoy one, and two more were provided at the end of the tour. Don't miss out on the pouring competition; it's a fun and interactive activity to join! There were a few minor aspects that could be improved. Some interactions, such as having your name printed on a bottle, felt overly expensive. Additionally, there were multiple photo-taking machines scattered throughout the experience, which seemed a bit redundant

If you are in the city you can’t not come here. Great value for the tour with some fun interactive bits throughout. €21 each is what we paid and this included 2 beers at the end as well as a small one half way through the tour. Takes up a couple of hours to walk around and can get busy so if visiting at the weekend would probably book tickets. we went on a week day so wasn’t too bad. Can customise your own bottle which is a nice touch too.

I went to visit spontaneously and purchased ticket on the spot. They only accept cards, no cash. Interesting guided tour that explained the history and how beer is made. Recommended for beer drinker. Very nice and interactive museum. The atmosphere was very nice. Staff friendly and cheerful. I can say that during the entire visit there were new things to explorer and enjoy. The price totally fair thinking you will have to pay kind of the same if you would like to enjoy the same amount of beer in a bar.

Everyone I talked to kept saying it’s a tourist attraction but it’s still a really nice experience all the way around. We got our tickets online with the rooftop access. Everything was amazing. So many cool parts you go through. Rooftop provides some great views and tasty mixed drinks! Self paced! The taste room is a great place to relax after your tour and enjoy some Heineken!

Absolutely brilliant experience. We went on the VIP tour which was absolutely worth the money. The tour guide was very informative, super friendly and personable. The information you learn is very interesting and you get to see parts of the brewery that are otherwise hidden. We also as a group got to go through the interactive experiences in the tour before other groups and this was so much fun. You learn so much about the history behind Heineiken, the family, the buildings, and the brewing process. After going through an interactive brewing experience,you get your first free beer (you dont need to use a token for this). You then get taken into a room where you have a beer tasting with 7 beers and different snacks that compliment each taste (these are not all Heineken beers). You also get a free gift and a beer pin (for any pin collectors, this is very exciting). You then get taken to the end of the tour which is next to the bar where you can cash in your 2 tokens to get 2 free beers. It's an incredible tour, super interesting and very fun! Definitely recommend!

A must do if you are a big fan of beer and Netherlands history as Heineken is a stable in the global beer stage. The entire experience is well created with so many activities to do for both beer drinkers, non-drinkers and also children too! You get the history, the process of making beer, the visual demonstration, the hands-on and the customer experience. There is a nice shop at the end for you to pick up something unique. You can also get a personalized bottle of your own Heineken beer with your name engraved on it. Very cool!

Had a lot of fun even though I went there by myself. Very interesting to see the process to make beer. Staff is super friendly and helpful, I had tickets for Friday but I couldn’t make it on time so I went back on Saturday and got in with the same ticket. Definitely recommend, would do it again but with friends.

1 night stay here, it didn't disappoint as the location was great. The hotel really clean, nice staff and good fitness centre. In my room I had really nice views. Only a few minutes walk from Central Station, the hotel couldn't be in a better location. I felt it was a little on the pricey side for what you get, hence the 4 stars. However I would stay again for sure.

'Ello chaps! DoubleTree by Hilton Amsterdam Centraal Station is located - as the name implies - literally next to Amsterdam Centraal Station. It's one of just a few hotels this close to the station, which is a big plus. Checking in, service was great - friendly and attentive. There are 11 floors to the building, with a bar/nightclub at the top. This is one of the downsides to the hotel in that for a couple of nights, the music was a bit loud and could clearly be heard while trying to sleep. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. The hotel is located in a great part of downtown, so it's easy to go out and explore by foot or to meet up for a tour or hop on public transportation if that's what you're doing. We explored town by foot without a problem. There are bikes available for rent - at 15 euro per day - and come with bike locks. There is a gym on site (did not inspect) but beyond this there are few amenities. Although there are ice machines on select floors. Overall I give DoubleTree four stars out of five.

Nice hotel located in a premier location (near Amsterdam Centraal) station. All key attractions are at a walking distance. You can enjoy the view no matter which room you select which is a bonus point. Staff members are friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

Amazing location and even better staff! What a wonder 3 days we just spent at this Hilton property. The room was very clean and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. We had a balcony room overlooking the city and it was just breathtaking. Go up to the rooftop bar too, you won’t be disappointed. It was so easy to walk to places or catch the tram. Oh and the breakfast was great too, a nice way to start your day each morning. Thank you for making our visit a comfortable one it means a lot when you are traveling far from home.

We stayed in DoubleTree Central Station Amsterdam and we really enjoyed our little holidays! Rooms were spacious, clean and with an amazing view! The breakfast was ONE OF THE BEST I ever saw! People were so nice. Location is fantastic only few minutes walking from central station and 3 minutes walking from the main streets. Looking forward to come back in our next visit to Amsterdam!!!

Amazing experience overall. Location is very convenient. We had amazing views, the rooftop terrace was marvellous, the design, the service, everything. Breakfast selection was really wide. What I did not like a bit, the downstairs toilets’ cleanliness… it looked liked a pub’s toilet. I was surprised a bit. Also we had the previous guest’s trash in front of our door during the whole stay. Despite of this, the stay was really nice, highly recommend.

Location is perfect and the general maintenance and room conditions are way better than most of the hotels. I assume that rooms have been renovated because there was some people around Hotel for construction so you can easily feel accommodation is more than what you expect. rooms might be a little bit smaller than usual hotel rooms but in Europe this is very acceptable. Breakfast staff was very polite and helpful only because of the physical capacity of the breakfast room it is little bit crowded. You may find pretty much very good selection of breakfast choices. We had executive lounge access, but unfortunately had no chance to catch any time to see any complimentary offer or something to eat and executive lounge is not serving for breakfast as well. That area more likely there because of their corporate standards which very clear they don’t want to run. However unfortunately some staff members are extremely snob and trying to teach you their(Hilton) behaviour instead of taking care of their guests. Personally I’m always having hard time to understand why people expect you to know their corporate standards or how they run their business from their guests if I’m not working in that company and instead of trying to be host, they’re just becoming a teacher, why and how you should do what and that is why they’re not going to help you. on my trip, I do not want to learn your procedures I believe companies should make their guests life much more easier ,safe and memorable. They just talk you like a machine with no feelings there are some people at the desk which you may easily understand they are in the wrong business. They’re just doing business not a hospitality. I will not mention all incidents one by one but I personally and constructively advise to the Hilton management to take a time to observe their staff members while they are serving to hotel guests ,no smile or fake smile with an attitude that should be observed. I’m so glad that there was couple of good staff members who were really taking care of the guests. Definitely try the hotel but expect minimum service from the desk.

This hotel is at the perfect location. Eastwood bar and grill is very tasty and you have to visit the roof top bar for the views. The rooms are a good size but we had to call twice to have our towels changed. This hotel welcomes pets and it shows on the chairs in the room.

We just stayed here last month. The location of this hotel is fantastic because it’s only 5 minutes walking from Amsterdam Central Station. One major flaw with this hotel: the room lighting. The indoor climate control consists of bright LED lights which brighten the room at night. It’s impossible to sleep. The interior architect really failed on this design. What an amateur. On the positive side, the restaurant has a gorgeous breakfast. The Sky bar has nice views. The staff are really friendly.

I recently went back to the DoubleTree Amsterdam Station, where I had stayed when it first opened. While the hotel has aged fairly well, it could definitely use some touch-ups. On the plus side, the staff were super friendly and helpful throughout my stay. I had a balcony room with a nice view, but it was pretty pricey considering the room's condition. The bedroom fixtures and fittings were a bit worn, and there was some mold in the bathroom. The room size and amenities were similar to a Premier Inn in the UK, which was kind of a letdown given the cost. One thing to note for light sleepers or those who nap during the day: the upper-floor balcony rooms might experience some noise from drilling and banging due to the ongoing rooftop terrace renovation just above the rooms. The executive lounge was a chill spot for breakfast, way more relaxed than the packed main restaurant. However, the wine time offerings were nothing special – think airport lounge vibes with cellophane-wrapped cheese sandwiches. Also, it's worth mentioning that the lounge serves alcohol for only about an hour per day, which feels like the bare minimum. All in all, the folks at DoubleTree Amsterdam Station were great and always ready to help. But the rooms could use some sprucing up to justify the price. I'd give this hotel a 3.5/5 – not bad, but there's room to make it better.

Super location, 5 min walk from Centraal Station. Comfortable accommodations, efficient use of limited space. Anna greeted us at the desk, we were early for check in time. The room wasn't ready but empty, so house keeping did a rush. We waited in the executive lounge, for about 90 min doing some computer work on the free WiFi. My wife went to the desk at 3pm and the room was ready. Jerome helped us with some travel tips regarding the tram, printing some passes for us. He was wealth of information as a concierge, thank you. The room had a great view of Amsterdam, the balcony was very nice! We had a terrific time and will be back. For a 3 night stay we were able to enjoy various parts of the city from such as perfect location. The staff was excellent!

Great location. Near the train station: the hop on hope off center, old town, red light district, and plenty of restaurants and markets. Love the breakfast buffet at the hotel. We had a great view of the harbor on the 10th floor.

Great hotel! Not the friendliest staff but everything else was great! So many activities and restaurants are in walking distance which was really convenient. Stayed at this hotel after Tomorrowland W1 and it was very nice being right next to the train station which got us to and from the festival in Belgium. Would definitely stay here again. Great views as well.

Hands down one of my best hotel experiences ever. From the moment I walked in to the moment I walked out, everything was perfect. and honorable mention to Anna at the front with guest services. Stayed in a King deluxe city view last week. Location is good. Room was nice enough Construction in the area means it takes a bit longer to get there. Check in was very disappointing. Arrived at 1pm in the pouring rain. I was told my room wasn't ready but check in is at 3. So come back around 230. I arrived at 2:18 and was told by the front desk that my room is ready. But it would be 45 euro to access it before 3. As I wait in the lobby, another person came in and they were told the same thing. At 2:40pm, it would be 45 euro to access the room early. Meanwhile the hotel lobby was overflowing with stored luggage, as people waited for their rooms. Finally, I had forgotten a small tote bag in the room with a few items inside. I contacted the hotel within 1.5 hours of departure. They asked for a confirmation of the contents and type of bag. Called me back and told me that they had it and could come get it anytime. Upon my return to the hotel from another city. I was told they didn't have my bag. They found something similar. But it wasn't mine and was empty. I asked if I could go check the room as it was a small bag. And I was told no, It's an impossibility that it would be missed by their cleaning crew That being said. Way better hotels in better locations for similar prices. Unless you're booking with Hilton points, stay elsewhere

Best location. We stayed on the weekend, and the cost of accommodation was about 190€. The room had a garden view, and it was close to the room across from it, so it wasn't private, so you had to keep the curtains closed. The room size is too small over cost of accommodation. The shower booth is also smaller than expected.. There is a mini refrigerator, electric kettle, capsule coffee machine, electric iron, and safe. There is a cafe and restaurant in the lobby, and the lounge has a nice atmosphere and a great cocktail bar.

This hotel is situated in a prime location. It is close to the train station and to all the tourist areas you would want to see in this beautiful city, and all within walking distance. Our check-in experience was amazing! Check-in representative, Juan and duty manager, Ivan explained all about the available amenities at the hotel. We enjoyed the decadent Doubletree cookies at check-in as well as several other times during our five-night stay. We received a much-appreciated upgraded room as well as some niceties waiting for us upon entering our room. We enjoyed the wonderful breakfast buffet each morning which included scrambled eggs, and all your breakfast sides as well as cold cuts, breads/pastries and so much more. You can also get made to order eggs/omelet or crepe. We enjoyed some beverages in the lobby bar one evening, but did not venture up to the rooftop bar, so I cannot comment on that. The only negative thing we had was some issues with the climate control temperature in our room. It got a little warm and when we called for maintenance to rectify the situation, we were told that they could "reset" the system remotely. Unfortunately, these resets did not work, and we ended up opening the windows to cool down our room. A maintenance technician eventually did come up to the room and rectify the situation. All in all, our stay was pleasant and would definitely stay here again. It all started with an exceptionally warm welcome from Juan and Ivan.

This is a well located hell close to Centraal Station in Amsterdam. The hotel had one amazing service experience and one poor one. Within 40 mintues of checking into my room, I was treated to a free cocktail (made to order in the hallway). While this is partially due to my Hilton status, it was impressive. However, my room service breakfast did not arrive on time and I had to head to the airport without. Overall, I'd stay again - great location and service.

Excellent hotel, room with a view was great. Staff were friendly and attentive - I had the do not disturb sign on my door whenever housekeeping came by, the staff would phone my room each night to ask if I needed housekeeping or anything else as they’d noticed housekeeping hadn’t done my room earlier. Good location, very short walk from Amsterdam Centraal Train Station. Worth heading up to the SkyLounge if you can to check it out but there’s often queues and the wait can be an hour or so. Would be nice if priority was given to hotel guests over others. Not the cheapest hotel but not outrageous either, I’d stay here again when visiting Amsterdam without hesitation.

Great location next to the main train station and the city center. Staff was very friendly, breakfast was fantastic and everything was clean. Room is starting to show some wear and tear, bed was too firm, our shower didn’t drain at first but they did fix quickly and the executive lounge is essentially just a place to sit unless it’s breakfast/happy hour. Room is also kind of plain, could use some decoration/color. Views however are great!

What an incredible hotel. I was very surprised at how accommodating the staff was to all of our special requests. The executive lounge is a huge bonus. The rooftop bar had great views, but too much interior light pollution, so you can't see anything but a reflection. The rooms are clean and well kept. Very spacious.

We arrived here later than we planned due to our train being cancelled mid trip. However, we didn’t encounter any issues finding the hotel as it is next to Amsterdam Centraal. We were thankful we booked this hotel months earlier as we were tired from the trip to Amsterdam. Checking in, Jaime was very efficient and he also upgraded our room from a Queen Suite to a King Suite. It was very much appreciated. The King Suite is excellent. The view is amazing and there is ample room to rest after a long day of exploring the city. My 6 year old daughter declared it the best hotel room she’s ever been in. I’m much older than 6 and, honestly, I can say the same. The mini fridge is a true mini fridge so we were able to store milk, yogurt and water (to keep cool). Breakfast is served downstairs and you are greeted and welcomed warmly. The food options are great here. Many of the Hilton staples plus some local ones as well. My wife enjoyed the pastries. I particularly liked the sausages. You can order eggs from the waitstaff if you don’t mind the wait. I’m guessing many guests also order eggs. The executive lounge is small here. It’s not very big so the tables fill up quickly. We never had a chance to sit here to enjoy the snacks, but we managed to take some snacks and enjoyed them in our room. Housekeeping does a very good job at keeping the room clean. They also left us a bottle of water in the mini fridge which was appreciated. Checking out was quick as well. Just some confirmations and we were out in 5 minutes. Overall, when we come back to Amsterdam, we will definitely stay here again.

Lovely modern hotel in a great location. We received a warmed cookie on arrival which was a lovely touch! Friendly and professional staff who often checked that we had everything we needed. The ONLY thing I struggled with is that the pillows are thin and rubbish, but I guess that comes down to personal preference. I would stay here again.

Honestly I enjoyed staying here. Room was spacious (except for bathroom but OK) and well appointed with beautiful views on the water. Bed very comfortable and deco was calming and pleasant. Great location and great parking situation... Decent value for Amsterdam Hotels and better than most other 4 stars especially in that area. Only negative is the lobby is a bit sad and the breakfast room is VERY loud.

My family and I had a really wonderful stay at the DoubleTree Amsterdam Centraal Station. Prior to checking in, I was upgraded to a suite, which was very helpful as we were traveling with a baby. As it turned out, the room we stayed in had just been renovated and was very nice and brand new. The room was super comfortable and had great views of Amsterdam. All of the staff we interacted with were wonderful and super helpful. Any requests we made were addressed promptly and efficiently. Special shout out to the staff at breakfast each morning. They were especially lovely and welcoming - Roberto in particular made our son laugh and was very playful with him. We really appreciate that kind of interaction from staff - it makes us feel so welcomed. The hotel is superbly situated and makes arriving from the main train station super easy and convenient. All of the best sites of Amsterdam are easily walkable from the hotel. This hotel has all of the amenities one could need for a relaxing and enjoyable stay in Amsterdam. Thank you to all of the staff for their hard work, we really appreciate it and hope to be back soon!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Amsterdam and overall, it was a fantastic experience. The hotel itself is beautiful and the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. The location was perfect, with easy access to public transportation and many attractions within walking distance. The room was spacious and well-appointed, with modern amenities and a comfortable ambiance. The only downside of my stay was the bathroom, which was not very functional. The layout and design could have been improved to make it more convenient for guests. Additionally, while the mattress was comfortable overall, I did find it somewhat uncomfortable at times. It could have been a bit softer and more supportive. Despite these minor drawbacks, I would still highly recommend the DoubleTree by Hilton in Amsterdam. The excellent service, stunning hotel, and convenient location make it a great choice for anyone visiting the city.

Stayed here for one night. Big respect to Juan - such a lovely and friendly guy. Helped us book a room on the day and made sure we got early check in. Room was clean and spacious. Coffee machine, fridge, desk, wardrobe, tv, etc included in the room. Bathroom was nice - loved the soap and body lotion. Hotel itself was amazing. Definitely recommend. Pricey but worth it. Lovely location, right on the canal. Shop right next to it. And there’s restaurants and bars inside the hotel. Only fault was the air con in our room wasn’t working so it was quite stuffy in the room.

Best checkin Hotel. Was greeted with warm Cookies. Never knew how happy a warm cookie will make u feel. Excellent location. Really good size family room with very comfortable beds and pillows. Bathroom was huge. They have the best view of Amsterdam city on the roof top bar. The staff are great. Delicious breakfast with a great variety. They are renovating at the moment and we were not disturbed.

We had so much fun in Madame Tussauds with the all the celebrities. It's astonishing how realistic they look and a bit creepy! Great fun to take photos with different poses and you will be surprised at the actual height of some of the celebrities as they also look bigger on screen!

I've been close to many of these museums but never went. My kids wanted to go, and so we did. It was really fun. Especially the karaoke bar, and I got a beer there...my kids sang and had a good time. We took plenty of pictures and laughed a lot that night. Good clean family fun.

What a great day at Madame Tussaud's in Amsterdam. We Loved every moment. Staff are the best. Super friendly and helpful. You can even get a nice glass of Heineken at the bar there! Put MT- Amsterdam on your must do list! X

Nice place but it has its drawbacks. Too many people are let in at once and there are problems even to go from figure to figure, let alone take some nice photo as a souvenir. Worth a look but a bit disappointed. A big plus and many thanks to the kind and helpful staff. Greetings to the nice cashier from the souvenir shop. A very talkative and nice person.

Hi, everyone! It was a first time I ever visited such a museum. We have some waxworks in Tashkent’s Magic City, but here all models are awesome and you’ll really enjoy it. Also the museum offers you to take a pictures for you at several spots throughout the stages. But you’ll eventually have to pay for admission to download them. So my advise is to take a friend and have all pictures and videos by yourself. Here are a few photos from the museum, but there are much more waxworks like Rock Johnson, Madonna and other characters. So make up your mind and take a chance to visit such a mesmerizing place! Good luck!

The lifelike wax figures, ranging from celebrities to historical personalities, are impressive. It's not a must-see in my opinion, but the photos taken are a nice keepsake. The staff was friendly, and the atmosphere was lively.

Very interactive museum! We really had a good time there! Such a good wax work in there!!!! It looked like real people!!!! Highly recommend :) The only thing i think they should improve its offer of lockers! We really had problems with carrying everything inside and no places to put our stuffs...

If you have never done this - this is an experience in itself Theses statues are allmost like real, for some I had to see them 2-3 times to ensure it was not real. We booked the tickets online a day before and reached before time. It's recommended to reach 5 minutes earlier. The picture bundle is 20 euros with digital copies + 4 prints. You could choose to have it, if you want. The tour finished quite quickly to be honest, I wish it was a bit more.

Visited this place 2 years ago. This was my first ever visit to a wax museum so was amazed to see the life-like statues of many popular celebrities and marvel superheroes. Here you can pass time easily as there are many exhibits to explore. I would recommend this place only if you have ample time in your Amsterdam trip and also if wax museums fascinate you. Good place to get kids here. Overall, a nice experience.

It's a very nice place with friendly staff. It's a bit over priced for the number of statues they have. I recommend going there in the early morning times when it's less crowded and the ticket prices are a bit cheaper as well.

First time in a Madame Tussauds. Many famous artists an characters. However I thought it was bigger. I spent there 1 hour.

I honestly didn’t expect anything special and I was proved wrong, what a great experience. I’d recommend you visiting this place and enjoying the fun and why not… also grab a beer or a coffee.

Good place to visit when you have some spare time, however it wouldn’t be my first choice if you have just a weekend in Amsterdam. As for this place it is worth a try when you are familiar with the celebrities that are there and at least saw their performances or photos online. As for me the most interesting thing was the famous round window with the great view at the city. Book your tickets in advance and better come early to avoid crowd as the rooms there are not too spacious. Overall it was an okay experience

It was okay, been wanting to visit it for quite some time and finally had a chance to visit it. A great place for taking pics but didn't really do it for me. The staffs were very nice and friendly though, 5 star quality service.

To be honest, I didn't expect anything special, but I was wrong. I really liked the museum: 1. The exhibits are made with high quality, 2. You can touch all the art, 3. there are a lot of photos of locations. It left a very nice vibe. I recommend it🔥

Fantastic experience. I had never been to a wax museum before, so I was a little skeptical but up close the details on the wax figures are insane. Some wax figures aren't very realistic (Jennifer Aniston and Ariana Grande are just 2) but 90% are very good. However, there are some figures advertised online on the website that aren't at the museum, such as Dua Lipa and Ed Sheeran, so this may be disappointing for anyone expecting this. There is also a little bar in the middle of the museum where you can have a little drink pit stop (it plays ABBA nonstop, which is very fun). It's a great place to visit if you have a spare hour or so!

Nice experience. A must visit attraction when you are in Amsterdam. Wax figures look very real. Visited on Thursday afternoon and it was not very crowded at that time. They have figures of famous celebrities , Royal family, star wars and marvels. Spend a good 2 hours inside the museum. There was a good ride inside which was also fabulous. Try to buy tickets in advance that will avoid any hassle there.

It has all the movie stars, singers, foot ball players, polticians and artists to experience. It also has amazing experience of making your hand was status experience with additional cost. Book the tickets in advance. It is crowded and you may not find entry on sopt. A good sovineer shop is there as well. It also provides a bar code to take photos, videos and you can get them printed in albums, key chains and get them digitally for extra cost. Its amazing experience overall.

Huge, wonderful escape from the city. Perfect for families. Must see in Amsterdam. If you are ready for lots of walking you will definitely enjoy it. Most areas are prepared for stroller walks. There's a few cafes and restaurants within the zoo and some of them are suitable for babies, equipped with baby chairs and changing tables. We loved it there and will be back again.

Zoo had a lot of animals from South America. The exhibits were a little small, but all the animals were well taken care of. The grounds were very nice and kept up. We walked the whole complex (with two kids) in about 3 hours. Tickets were reasonable children are €21 each and adults are €25 each if you purchase online ahead of time. The reason for a dropped star is because everything isn't included in the cost (planetarium, and two other things can't remember).

Lovely zoo, much bigger than anticipated - one can easily spend the day here. Beautiful park, though-through layout, mostly good sized enclosures. Plenty of staff who are happy to provide insights. Various food options and playgrounds make it a family friendly place to visit.

The best zoo that I've ever been to. Alot of animals to see Any animals you can think of, are at the zoo Worth the money! Quite busy today but enough room to see the animals and walk around. It's good but lacking in some regards. There's a lot of interesting animals to be seen and it has a butterfly area also. Some animals might be MIA during some periods of the day which is a shame, just like any other zoo. It's good a good amount of public toilets and water taps, as well as benches for resting. Enjoy some of my favorite and most photogenic animals from our visit.

Booked online before our holiday. Big place. Was disappointed that the aquarium was closed as we were looking forward to that bit as we are fish keepers. Artis from planet sock is very cute. Love his teapot rocket. I enjoyed the Planetarium show but couldn't understand a world they were saying as it was in Dutch. But the animation was cute. I love how they are growing their own veg. Beautiful flower gardens.

Such an amazing zoo! The habitats are so well designed that you feel like you can actually see the entire space and have a good chance of seeing animals. They are not hidden off in the distance or behind a huge fence like most zoos. They use water and natural features to keep the separation. The bridge between the elephants and giraffes is beyond cool! The same goes for the restaurant and kids playground that feel like you're basically in the habitat. The animals all looked lively and healthy and we lucked out seeing almost every animal awake (went at 10am, weekday, during august).

Apparently, ARTIS is one of Europe’s oldest zoo and unique is that it’s situated in the middle of the city. It was very convenient to walk here as it only took us 20 minutes or so. They have many animals here. The highlight was the elephants. They were walking around and kicking a ball. There is also a play area for kids. My 6 year old daughter liked playing on it. You probably need at least two visits to appreciate everything here.

This zoo really surprised me in a good way! The enclosures are a very good size, some of them are massive! They all have different areas for animals to play in. There’s plenty of enrichment and plants in the enclosures as well as lots of hiding spots for the animals. With all the plants and trees the zoo looks beautiful and as far as we could tell they’re still doing work to it and improving/expanding. Animals seem happy and very well cared for, we got to see one of the baby elephants getting his pedicure done. Overall a great experience!

Excellent place, highly recommend. There is no map guide provided to visitors so you need to save photo of the maps in your phone. I recommend you to come early, there is a lot to see there. The planetarium is amazing, it’s mainly for Dutch speakers but the instructor added little explanations in English once in a while. We enjoyed it very much.

This zoo was nice with a good variety of animals to see. The spaces for the animals were a little smaller than you might like to see but the zoo were working on some new enclosures when we were there. The food was completely vegetarian and I have to say was very tasty. This is a great place for families.

It's a gorgeous zoo, but a couple of the enclosures seem really small. We felt a bit sad for some of the animals after our visit. The butterfly house was really nice, though.

It is not huge but big enough to explore with it's own charm! it's definitely worth the time to visit. One of the prettiest and most animal friendly Zoo I’ve ever visited. I love so much how the zoo organized animals home. feels really cozy and relaxing for them. I didn’t expect this beautiful zoo at first. My husband and I quite surprised and really enjoyed this great Zoo.

Must visit place in Amsterdam. So big and so good. It takes at least 4 hours to properly visit. But you can spend the entire day too. Make sure to bring food with you. There are not enough cafes inside. And bringing food is allowed

What an incredible zoo. I have been to many zoos around the world and artis had been right at the top. A wonderfully immersion experience that puts you nose to nose with many of the animals and even makes you feel close to some of the bigger and scarier creatures. Wonderful indoor area for the reptiles, butterflies and girls allow you to escape any bad weather and the planetarium is an incredible learning experience at no extra cost. A wonderful wonderful day out and I can't wait to come again.

Meticulous zoo, both grounds and enclosures. All animals appear well cared for. Plenty of staff. We went on a Monday and a Tuesday, both days had decent footfall but neither were super busy.

Had a lovely time on a sunny day, the zoo is huge, they have many unique species, which I’ve never seen before. Even a stork came over to visit 😁 Lovely architecture, lots of places to just sit down and enjoy your surroundings. Highly recommended!

A great Zoo with lots of space for the animals. Quite spread out but easily doable in a day. There were lots of food options and rest stops and the whole place was wheelchair accessible.

We came to this zoo after visiting the nearby botanical gardens and were very impressed. It’s much larger and has a greater selection to see. The zoo has many animals and feels endless.

It was nice view of Rembrandt life and consequences in his paintings and life. The automatized audio device was perfect, really great stuff and easy to handle. It is for about an hour to spend and get to know more about this famous Dutch painter and art business man.

This was a very well put together audio tour through Rembrandt's house and life. They have some amazing pieces by Rembrandt and some of his influencers and his apprentices. Also, the staff was very responsive when I had trouble with my audio pack. Great stop!

Definitely one of my favourite museums in Amsterdam. It’s a small place, but the audio guide does a great job narrating Rembrandt’s life story. Although his most famous masterpiece, the Night’s Watch is not here (too big to fit in the house anyway), the museum has a nice collection of his other paintings and the eccentricities he accumulated over the years. Highly recommended.

Very nice museum, beautiful paintings and objects from Rembrant's life. I recommend setting aside at least 3 hours for a museum tour. I also recommend that you buy a ticket online, it's more convenient and you can be sure that you will really see the museum at that time. the staff was nice and helpful. You can buy a themed souvenir in the small shop.

The house of the most famous son of Amsterdam. Most of his works were hung in other grand museums; here his life is shown in his own house. One would get the gist of his life, how he lived and worked. The house illustrated this point very well with many original artifacts of the period. The audio program was very helpful, telling vivid stories of his life and how he earned his living. Very nice museum with very good supportive staff.

Free audio guide. Able to know Rembrandt well and see his house and workplace. Demonstrators for painting making and etching, which is knowledgeable and interesting to know!

Wonderful experience. Book online a few days before your visit. When you arrive they check your booking and then send you to the lower floor. They give you the audioguide to the visit (with information in every room about the paintings and furnitures and also of life, facts, love stories, career of Rembrandt, carrying also videos and pictures). The visit is divided in some rooms in different floors. There is also (ATTENTION!) from 11 am to 3 pm the possibility to see the LIVE demonstration (see my pictures) of how Rembrandt did the etching technique to make the “acquaforte”. At the end a temporary exhibition of the painting of the Peacocks of Rembrandt from the Rijksmuseum. Highly recommended. Generally I don’t like the house-museums but this one deserves the visit.

When you visit the Rembrandt House Museum, you can experience the life of Rembrandt himself. The museum has carefully restored each room and furnished them with furniture and objects based on documentation of Rembrandts private collection. The best part are some of the original etchings from Rembrandt himself but the majority of the museum is to more so learn about his life than view his greatest pieces of art. This is a self guided tour where you'll be given an audio guide and you select the commentary based on the room you're in.

An absolute must see for anyone who admire the works of Rembrandt and wants to know more about the life of this great artist.

I enjoyed visiting very much. If you have an Amsterdam city card, you can enter for free. I learned a lot about Rembrandt's life and personality. There was also a Turkish autoguide option.

If you're looking for the lost seascape, it's not here. But it is a great sneak peek into Rembrandt's life. There weren't a lot of Rembrandt's paintings showcased here; those are at the Rijksmuseum. However, they did feature a lot of his etchings which I found neat.

Amazing experience. The museum provides Chinese audio guide. Following the audio guide, I feel that I am really seeing Rembrandt was welcoming guests, drawing, and living in this house. Highly recommend.

A must-see for fans of Rembrandt or anyone interested in 17th-century Dutch life. The museum is located in Rembrandt's actual house, which has been restored to its original condition. There are two demonstrations of how paints and etchings were made, and many interactive elements. Good value for money.

Initially I wasn’t sure if I needed to visit Rembrandt’s house-museum but I’m glad I did it. Very informative and interesting! Audio tour is available in many languages. And I loved the workshop.

An interesting tour of the private life of Rembrandt. The house is refurnished to fit the time he lived there, based on a inventory taken when he moved out. The audiotour comes free with the ticket and is informative and well spoken. The collection room is very cool, and his painting studio is very interesting. They also have the largest collection of existing copper printing plates carved by Rembrandt, viewable in a room where an artist does printing demonstrations. After you go up through the house, you can come down an addition with a second tour of temporary exhibits. A rather low key museum experience. I enjoyed it.

Superb view from superior rooms over the canal! Very comfortable bed and chairs overlooking the city. We enjoyed the breakfast. I was catered for, needing gluten free diet. Dinner was very professionally made. Lovely wine selection. Helpful and friendly staff.

A very nice place, except for the beds. Much narrower than a twin and quite hard. So you feel like your trying to sleep on a balance beam. I turned onto my back, and found myself on the floor flat on my back. Everything else was very nice, but lets face it, the bed is the main thing for a hotel to get right. A smaller issue was the breakfast (nice) would sometimes run out of food (not so nice) and the lady running it would not seem to care that guests paid quite a bit for its availability.

I had a delightful stay at NH Museum Quarter. The location was fantastic, with easy access to the city's renowned museums and attractions. The staff was incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond to ensure my comfort throughout my stay. The modern and well-appointed room added to the overall positive experience. I highly recommend NH Museum Quarter for a memorable and enjoyable stay in Amsterdam.

Great location closed to transportation & attractions. Not a 4* hotel by western standards. More like an expensive 2.5*. Managing staff was not present. One customer asked to talk to a manager (@11A) & was told that a message would be conveyed. May be NH managers are remote? Or at another facility. The front desk staff especially Lourdes is very nice & helpful but is not empowered to allow day stay or get coffee... So the lobby becomes a homeless encampment. The front desk is half a floor above ground. To get luggage up the ramp is at a steep 45°. Guests with large luggage struggle to get their luggage to check in counter or get help from the camping checked out guests sitting in lobby. Cleaning crew is probably understaffed. Multi-day guests can request no cleaning in exchange for a drink. But that means no towels or coffee since the front desk does not have any. Trash removal does not occur leading to pile up outside the room. Also cleaning crew does not seem to have a supervisor/quality control. So one of the hallway alcove became a recycling/trash depository (has been collecting for at least 3 days). Due to renovation There is only one functioning elevator for guests & staff alike. The rooms are being renovated. Mine was brand new! Only half of the windows were replaced. The handheld shower head leaked were the tubing connected. The thermostat in the room is not user friendly.

This hotel has some negative operational issues management needs to overcome. However, with that being said, the staff does an outstanding job to make your stay very worthwhile. Lourdes and Giada are to be highly commended for their professional and customer service-oriented manner. I have never been more impressed! They were faced with multiple issues outside of their control and yet remained focused on customer satisfaction as their top priority. The booking reservation was completely incorrect, even though it was the hotel's own reservation team who assisted us. We were faced with two twin beds, when we booked a queen, a standard room when we booked a superior room, changing rooms 2 times/3 days in the process. Had it not been for this great front desk team, I would have rated this hotel much lower, but when you have hotel employees who go above and beyond to make things right, you don't find that everywhere. Our room was clean, comfortable and a nice finish to a rough start. To the ladies in the breakfast area, job well done! Each day they made sure everything was in order and presented nicely. Lastly, NH Hotels, you must do a better job with your reservation team so they do not misrepresent what the customer is purchasing. Secondly, keep the public restrooms clean! They were not well-maintained (trash cans overflowing).

Extremely close to the museums and many restaurants. The hotel staff are friendly and polite and answered any questions I had very quickly. The breakfast is good and offers a selection of hot and cold items, however they will also prepare other hot food like omlets based on your request. I enjoyed my stay here as the room was very comfortable and had everything I needed, as well as a nice view!

Great location, close to museums. But that’s it. For what we paid, the quality of the room was very mediocre. The room was very dated, the carpet very old, the bathroom sink was peeling off, and the towels were old too. I must have to add that The staff was very courteous, but they most improve/ update the rooms!

Hotel is clean, convenient and nice! Great location in the city and on the outskirts. Very close to many shops and restaurants, Heineken experience was about an 11 minute walk from the hotel. 1. Checkin was easy, young lady Martha was nice and got through quickly. One little note she missed was our request for two twin beds in our two rooms. (I was travelling with 3 other people). Got up to the room and had to come back down to get it sorted but was done within minutes. Other than that room was nice, spacious and had all the necessary toiletries. 2. Breakfast was nice, with the exception of the older Philippino lady. Not sure if her personality was just curt but she was rude and does not know how to be in customer service. I understand that maybe something happened one day and she didn’t want to be there but for two days in a row? Everyone is going through something, you should be courteous and mindful of this, your attitude and actions affect others. 3. Overall, the experience at the hotel was good. Would definitely stay again.

I know this is an old hotel (old building) but the rooms should be tidied up a bit (new curtains, better lightning, etc). This is why I'm not rating it a any higher. I also had to change rooms as my room had this weird clicking sound every could of minutes which didn't allow me to sleep the first night). Location is quite good, however closest metro is about 600 meters. Worth considering that

Our stay went great, the staff was friendly in particular Sergio at the desk who was very helpful! The refurbished rooms look very nice, same with the common areas. Location is perfect if you’re looking to visit the museums.

I am in a wheelchair. I called directly the hotel to book a wheelchair accessible room. When I arrived , the elevator was not working well and the only room accessible was occupied!!!! So I had to manage in a very small bathroom with a bath and a toilet without bars. The next day, I got the room for disabled people. Yet I was very desapointed. The bathroom was large enough but the way the accessibility has been implemented is really not in line with standards and not acceptable for a 4 stars hotel. No bar on the wall near the toilet. If you need more detail. Just contact me. The other negative point is the lack of trading of the staff. The positive points are that the hotel is well located and very quiet.

Very, very nice breakfast. Nice large rooms with good view. Rooms could be more modern, but it's actually fine and it's very clean. Friendly, helpful and organised staff.

The hotel needs a refresh, and the decor is dated. The rooms have a good view of the canal, but honestly, if you look into the room, you can get depressed. Also, the carpets are all over stained, I stayed in room 131.

A great twin aspect room with TWO chairs and plenty of space. Staff are very helpful and breakfasts are great. They have a great idea that for each day you forgo housekeeping you get two free drinks at the bar. A very enjoyable week.

I wish I read the reviews before I booked. I was shocked this was considered a 4 star hotel. The rooms are extremely dated, the curtains and carpet look 50 years old. My carpet had a lot of stains and just needs to be replaced/removed throughout. Overall, it's a great location, but not a place you'll want to lounge in during the day.

It was the 2nd time at this hotel. The rooms are very clean with the view of the cannal, and very quiet location with walking distance to the museums and restaurants. Our room's safe wasn't working when we got the room and the staff attended and fixed it in less than 30 minutes. Well done!

A dog tolerant hotel that calls itself “dog friendly”. They charge €25 per night for the “extra cleaning” due to the dog. However, so that they can apply their green washing policies, despite paying the extra for the “dog cleaning” you can choose not to clean the room. I just hope those € 25 go to charity if that’s the case, otherwise, it’s plain theft. Don’t get me wrong, I am happy to pay for the dog, after all, they charge for sleeping and if the dog sleeps, the dog pays - it’s the robbing customers and green washing policies that annoy me. Also, first time there is no plate or bed for the dog despite paying a fee. Lastly, my favourite part, they tell you the dog cannot stay alone in the room nor come down to the breakfast area…

The best hotel experience I have had in Europe. The room was clean and spacious. The staff was helpful. The cost is fair. They had a proper shower that didn't leave water all over the floor like with so many other hotels in Europe. My friend's room was just as nice with a great view. Highly recommend!

This hotel is in the process of renovation. In my case I got a "new renovated" room with strong smell of painting. One night of sleeping in that room and headache next day guaranted. Ask for a room which is not "just renovated". Elevator are protected by plywood (see picture).

This hotel was absolutely perfect for our stay as a family of 3 traveling with my parents at Christmas! Located in a great area just a few min walk to the museums and an easy 20 min walk or 10 min bike ride to the center of old town. We had an issue when we arrived with the travel crib being broken, and the staff helped us find a temporary fix for the night and the next day they replaced it with a beautiful wooden crib. Rooms are large, and as we stayed on the top floor, we had gorgeous floor to ceiling windows with an amazing view of the city and sunrise. Also, the blackout curtains for night was perfect for our 2 year old to help him get a good night sleep. My only complaint is that the bar/restaurant was closed the whole weekend (only open during the week which seemed odd) which was a bummer being Christmas time and wanting to enjoy a nightcap in the cozy lobby. But overall very happy with the staff and the value and I would definitely stay here again!

Great customer service by the front desk team especially extra kudos to Sergio, Manuel and Jeffery. You guys made our stay enjoyable and relaxing. You were professional, helpful and courteous. As a bonus, the hotel has a self-serve laundry facility for no fee.
