Randomly picked a steakhouse in tourists area, that we already have mentally prepared for any surprises, ordered a T bone on a heat rock, which is I don’t like this cooking, I think grill is the best cooking for steak. The meat is soso. No surprise of expensive dinning after the day one in Swiss.

We love steak and ordered some Swiss Steaks ! The Salmon was great too with crave worthy rosemary potatoes. Every side dish was amazing. My son is a steak snob and loved this place. Service was outstanding.

I found a human hair in my fried chicken and the server insisted it was a chicken hair not human hair. I have never heard chicken has a hair and I found it last minute, so I guess I unfortunately ate most of hair. It was a very unpleasant experience in fine dining.

Waiter demanding tip let them down. Good food, good ambiance, reasonable prices on lunch special BUT will never return after waiter demands a tip. He mentioned it four or five times and made the our use of our credit card difficult until a tip was added. He only cleared out plates. A more senior waiter, more smartly dressed, perhaps the owner, was much more pleasant taking our order, delivering the food and second glass of wine. I tip for excellent service not for just doing the job. Sadly our end to this meal means we will not return and therefore can’t recommend it.

The restaurant service and food were not good for the price. The servers were not nice and very impatient. Even though I was also staying there I was waiting to meet someone and they practically tried to get rid of me. I had to sit and was forced to order food to stay there which was outside even though there were lots of empty tables. They belittled me for visiting with my niece for what they thought was too long even though it was only about an hour. Will never eat here or stay here again. The room was big e good at all with a broken television and other problems including no soap.

Had dinner here, a quick steak late at night. The meat is average at best, and well overpriced. It’s a classic tourist trap. The waiter was incredibly offended and rude when I didn’t tip. Tried to sort of bulling me into reconsidering? Anyway, I recommend he changes attitude, job, or at least employer.

The staff was really nice, the service was impeccable. They were so quick that i thought they were Buzz Lightyear working in a restaurant. The food was excellent and the prices are correct. If I want a fancy dinner by myself or with a friend, I would definitely come back here.

I ordered salmon with a side of broccoli. The food wasn’t bad and wasn’t the best it could use some more flavour but it is very overpriced for what you receive, not worth it in my opinion, very overpriced but so is most of the food in Zurich. The service is good though.

Really great steak. Mediocre service. Waiter with short facial hair asked for a tip, I proceeded to add 4 francs out of courtesy, he cancelled my credit card payment and said typically people tip 10%, I put 0 francs and he basically threw a fit at the table dropping my credit card and slamming the receipt on the table (not even over exaggerating...) made me feel a bit uncomfortable, but all I had to do was walk out the restaurant. Won't be coming back again.

As soon as we walked into the restaurant, we were greeted with a very warm hospitality. Also, we were showed to a table immediately even though we said we didn't book a table. All of the staff was very helpful, attentive, and friendly and big smiles on their faces. The staff was always asking if we needed anything or if everything was okay, which felt very nice. When we were trying to take pictures, one of the staff also came in to help without being asked when he saw us. We also didn't have to wait too long for the food. I had ostrich steak on a hot plate which was soooo juicy. Me likey very much🥰🥰. I also like how they have so many side dishes, including the risotto I chose. I also tried the rib eye hot plate steak which was very nice because we can choose the wellness of the steak😂 although we had to be very careful not to accidentally touch it (my dad did😅😅) . Then, I ended this meal with tiramisu with fresh fruits and my parents had ice cream (sour cream, passion fruit, walnut) Overall, I was very impressed this candle lit steak dinner ❤❤

We tried a few steak houses, which all were booked out. Ended up here, as this was the only one with a spare table, and the steak was excellent for the price. We had ribeye. Steaks are served on a hot stone, so you can cook them to your liking.

Nice little hotel in the heart of the Old Town in Zürich where there are lots of restaurants and shops, and it is also only a short walk from Zürich central station and tram stops. It sits above a restaurant of the same name. Recommended for couples only as the rooms are very small. The Highlights: - the rooms are very clean upon check in, and despite being small, has the basic necessities: bed, air conditioning, mini fridge, kettle, Closet, TV, hot water, towels, etc. It's also non-smoking which is really appreciated, considering how much people seem to smoke here in Zürich. - Another highlight is that it has a lift (elevator) that fits 4 people with no luggage, or 2 people with 2 suitcases - The continental breakfast included in the room has two kinds of bread, two kinds of cold cuts, some fruit, jams, three kinds of cheeses, juices, coffee and tea - enough to fuel up for the morning until lunch time. -Although the hotel is in the heart of the Old Town with bars and restaurants right below it, the sound proofing of the windows is pretty good as we couldn't hear the outside world once we've shut them properly. What can be improved: - Customer service leaves much to be desired. The people serving in the morning don't seem to want to host people at all as he didn't want to interact with any guest, save to serve us coffee or tea. This is observed both days we had breakfast there. - Our room also wasn't cleaned. Not sure what the custom here in Switzerland is, but when we returned to our room after our second day, we found that our bed wasn't turned over, the dirty towel on the floor was hung up against the towels we wanted to reuse, the complimentary drinking water was not replaced. The only things done were opening the window to let air in and the trash had been taken out. If not for those, we wouldn't have known someone was in our room. - The pillows were very flat and if you folded them, they would stay folded (which means they are expired and should be replaced). This is minor if it doesn't bother you, or course. - as mentioned, the room is very small so be mindful of that if you are planning to bring large suitcases for your trip as there's little room to place them in. Overall, I would only recommend this hotel for staying in Zürich for its location and value for money and not for any other reason.

The location is nice but the staff is extremely rude to tourists. The food was not that special and was expensive for the quality. Would not recommend to tourists.

Excellent steaks. The feta cheese appetizer was delicious. My sirloin steak was absolutely perfect (medium rare) and my friend’s Swiss dry rub received excellent reviews. The salmon fettuccine was nearly excellent.

The staff was rude to us. We've left them a tip and they told us no you keep it buy something for yourself. Food was less than decent and expensive. Avoid if you're a tourist.

I ordered a sirloin steak well done with a baked potato no sour cream but with butter. The meal came with the steak being seared on both sides but raw in the middle and I said this is not cooked to my liking he said you have to cook it yourself on the stone I said I'm paying you $50 for a steak and I have to cook it? The waiter ended up cooking it the rest of the way on the stone which took about half an hour. The baked potato did not come with any butter like I asked and no skin I like to eat the skin on my baked potato but there was none it looked like a piece of lasagna. In addition the steak was tough I did not believe it was a sirloin because it had gristle in it. I did have dessert apple pie ice cream and it was delicious. No I won't be back.

We love the Bahnhofstrasse! Every time when we visited Zurich, we would always dropped by the Bahnhofstrasse! This long shopping street is in the heart of Zurich, it runs through from North to South, which begins from the train station & end at the edge of the Zurich lake. Being one of the most expensive shopping streets in Europe & the main commercial hub in Zurich, you would be surprised that you could still find many shops that are very affordable for normal people, I.e. H&M, Adidas, Nike...etc. The closer to the lake, the more expensive they are. (i.e. lined with upmarket shops selling jewelleries or Rolax...etc.) There are also serval lovely but very affordable restaurants located on the side streets along Bahnhofstrasse. The street is always very clean and there are tramlines running along it. It is very easy to walk & we love it!

So many familiar designer stores and nice restaurants and café lining this lively street, with the road run by their electric trams. There is also a small plaza along the street and giant Swiss flags hang from overhead wires. The streets are surprisingly clean for a very busy and expensive street. Truly combines elements of the old Swiss world, and the more modern ways. You can also get views of both the Grossmünster and Frausmünster from here.

Very nice facilities, beautiful paths. Quite a lot to see and can take a while going around this place. Several gastronomic facilities, a places to eat inside (very interesting Thai corner). It is very good organize and friendly for the kids. There is so many playground inside, real fun for the kids. Just a small remark is that there are usually no parking spaces nearby, the host provided enough parking spaces some 1.2 km away from the ZOO itself and organized a shuttle bus that transports visitors to the ZOO and back. And you can use public transport, both the bus and the tram itself.

A good outing with my daughter and friends last autumn. Lots of animals to see/explore but Elephant show was the highlight of the day. Overall an enjoyable day despite the weather.

This is an amazingly wide-range zoo. It was the first time for my mother to visit the Zoo in Lewa area, and she enjoyed it a lot. Well maintained Zoo, it was a pleasure to spend one full afternoon there. Any time again visit this zoo! Thanks a lot for making a Zoo experience so enjoyable.

Despite the relatively cold weather most animals looked happy and thriving. Not the greatest variety of animals to see but the still a fun place to visit especially with the kids. The large greenhouse was an experience by itself, but when I opened the last door I found myself out of the zoo and had to walk back to the entrance! Good thing that I kept my tickets. tramline 6 has a final stop that is a five minute walk from the zoo.

They have different animals, some you can see in an air conditioned large rooms and some are outdoor, the zoo is organized and have different shops inside. Most areas of the zoo support trolleys and special needs wheelchairs. We tried the rice and vegetable curry and it was good.

Honestly an amazing experience. I've been here 4 times over the last 2 years and there is always something more to see. The zoo is always doing more to add amazing animal friendly enclosures. There are a few that feel "sad" but for 95% its a great Habitat.

I loved it so much!! But it was hot so I’ll prefer we go in spring but I had so much fun! And I prefer you guys go in the weekdays because it doesn’t get crowded but anyways i highly recommend going there!!

Really nice Zoo, we went there after lunchtime (15:00) and there were no queues and it was super quick to get in. The park was not too crowded at this time either, which in turn gave us a really nice experience as well. I think this may be the reason many of the animals did not hide, so it was nice to be able to see so many of them! After we walked through the full park, we treated ourselves a mini-safari-train back!

This is a wonderful place, but it’s probably better to call it not a zoo, but a natural park where there are animals. Of course, I understand everything perfectly well, animals need space, they need a natural environment, but half of the animals are not visible because they are hiding... but in principle, honestly, I was satisfied today

Very nice place to go to! The zoo is well maintained and the animals seem well looked after. There is a spacious area outside where you can sit and have a drink and a bite. The fries were very tasty. Be aware of the crowd if you want to visit during the weekends!

Spectacular view and animal assortment. Good food too if needed and a lot of places to rest/drink. Be aware: to visit it all by feet will require around 4hours.

Easy to get there with the tram. No waiting times if you order and print your tickets in advance. Nice, clean and good cared. Great areas for animals and visitors. Beautiful and interesting new buildings. Even on a rainy day nice to visit.

Amazing Zoo with a lot to see. Zoo supports different Projects around the world to preserve nature and animals which is a great plus for me. Tickets are little higher than expected but totally worth it. Amazing savanna and rain forest just behind Zurich city jungle. Be prepared to walk a lot and take a whole day for this trip. Toilets and small restaurants are around every corner. But it’s better to bring your own water and snacks to save you some money.

Very good place for a day out. It has a massive indoor Rain forrest. A lot of good animal sanctuaries in the zoo. Most of the animals are living in a huge natural open environment. Only the penguins felt like they are in a prison. Overall a good zoo.

Easy to reach from Zurich HB , Zoo is very huge , animals and birds well care . Enough space for them and close to their natural space. Tips : zoo is very big comfortable shoes is must ! Snakes abs water is allowed. Feed animals not allowed , to cut bamboo for home as souvenir is prohibited! There is a big shop with unique souvenirs with friendly prices !

Great place to visit. Was worried about parking as I visited on a Saturday but this was very well organised and lots of spaces. The attractions are great. Had to revise our route due to the car park we parked at and entering the park at a side entrance (hint this was much less busy than the main entrance). My favourites were the elephants and gorillas. The gift shops and restaurants were good to. Highly recommended. 5*****

Despite winter time we really enjoyed the day in Zoo. Highlight was for us Penguin Parade at 13:30. It can be seen daily from November to February on days when temperature drop below 10 degrees. To be sure it is better to check on Zoo's website. Some of the animals were hidden or sleeping, but I was surprised how many of them we saw outside despite freezing weather. If you buy tickets online you get a small discount and you will avoid a queue at the cash desk.

One of the best zoo’s ever. Great to go in the winter as most exhibits are indoors and heated. Animals look VERY healthy and there are plenty of activities outside the exhibits like a cinematic panoramic presentation near the exit and an occasional llama/donkey parade. Even if you’re not in to animals, if you wanna break from the cold Rainey days the indoor exhibits are a winter tropical vacation!

Nice zoo with wide collection of animals. You can see everything in approx 3 hrs, but remember to wear proper walking shoes.

great to go with family, kids, friends or even for a daye with your partner! the staff is very friendly and ready to help you learn about the animals and their habitats. this zoo really makes you see how animals can be happy and preservation ensured, while also giving us the opportunity to see species from all over the world. (big plus are also the amenities such as restaurants and fun activities all around) looking forward to the new projects!

Great Zoo, for both education and leasure. You have the big exotics, like giraffes, elephants, gorillas, lions, tigers, zebras, and the most decent aquarium in Zürich. Lots to see and explore, not to mention the Masoala which is worth a trip of its own. They recreated a whole piece of Madagascar!

It's big but expensive. There were a lot of empty enclosures, which is a shame for what we paid. Also first time ever I got to be so close to the giraffes! Also half the park is under construction until 2025 (lion area)

If you're looking for a 360° View over Zürich, then you must visit this spot. Also several Hiking trails are available, the scenery and nature are so beautiful, and you can have a quick lunch (some food stands offer super delicious Swiss Würst with the authentic kartoffelsalat) or you can eat at the Uto Kulm restaurant and enjoy some raclette / fondue.

Beautiful mountain peak with wonderful views from Zurich and its surroundings. We were lucky to get a little bit of snow during the night. Once we got there early in the morning we still could see some flakes on the trees. This place has stunning views and it is very easy to reach by train or by one of the several hiking trails available. At the top you have a hotel, restaurant and toilets are available. Highly recommend.

We hiked approximately 11.5 miles roundtrip from Zurich City Center to Uetliberg. It was worth the visit and had amazing views of the city and the alps along the way. We had coffee and snack in a restaurant at the top. Walking up the tower was worthwhile though it was very windy when we went since there was a storm coming.

An absolute must do when visiting Zurich. A stunning view and easy to access by train or if you have the time there are lovely trails all the way to the top.

I hiked up to Uetliberg from city center. Absolutely lovely hike, loved the trails up to the top. I took the train down to Zurich HB. There are great views all throughout the trails of nature and Zurich. The trail did have a lot of stairs and some steepness but a relatively easy trail with a little elevation.

There are various paths to get to Uetliberg with different difficulties. It is suitable for everyone and a perfect activity for families. Enjoy the view of Zurich at the top while enjoying the snacks and ice cream on offer. Toilets are also available here.

Near to Zürich by train, a nice location to escape from the usual sightseeing. We were welcomed by a nice view and a freezing cold wind. The access to the tower was 2CHF and takes you to the top to gaze the surrounding valleys and mountains.

A beautiful place with breathtaking views of Zurich and the Alps. In winter a fairytale snowy landscape and sledding fun for the whole family and in summer a popular destination for athletes and nature lovers. Accessible only on foot or by public transport. About 10 minutes on foot from the Uetlibergbahn to the observation tower.

Absolutely fantastic mountain to walk upto . There is a simple walk route, one train route and one little wild but super exciting route . Totally loved the experience of going up on a nice warm summer day

Must-see to visit when being in Zurich. Only 25 minutes from Zurich HB to get there and the view is amazing! Also, it’s nice to take a walk in the mountain to explore some paths.

The hike up is really nice, not only in summer but also in the winter time. There are many paths and different ways to go to the top. You can even go by train. The views are amazing. There is a very nice restaurant on top and a stall where you can buy drink, even cocktails and fast food. Strongly recommended.

Been at the top a couple of times already. The hike is not strenuous and it gives partial views of the Alps, which is super nice. We usually do the hike from the city center and that takes about one hour and a half. At the top, you can buy beer and use the restroom. The views from up there are spectacular.

Very cool viewpoint over Zurich and the lake. When the weather is clear enough you see the mountains far away. Some food is there, a bit pricey, but well, they know that a bunch of people come hungry to the top. Some places to sit and chill are there also. It’s about 500m up from Zurich city, and you have several kind of paths leading up, so there’s a bit for everyone. And if yours lazy or tired or unfit, you can also come by train!

A great place to see Zurich and Alps from the height. We’ve made a hike up there (from hbf and it’s very exhausting) and it was kind of a Swiss weekend experience for us. Up there there are a lot of spaces to see and enjoy the view. In winter it was also a Christmas market still so you can enjoy some drinks and food. The aperol is for 14,5 CHF and the tea for 4,5, the Raclette was delicious for 15 CHF. Go up the the view tower and enjoy 360 view of surroundings - windy but totally worth it.

It's a mountain with great views. You can get a train to near the top, then it's a 10 minute steep walk up. We were lucky as the woman working at the hotel at the top gave my daughter and her wheelchair a lift up which was very appreciated. The hotel up there looked nice and staff were friendly. Great views, which is what we went up for.

Great train ride up to the top. The view from the tower was fantastic. A couple of restaurants and a hotel are at the top. Lots of Christmas Market stands.

Nice place to hike up to to have a Birds Eye view of Zurich. The tower requires a 2chf payment; of which card payment was not functioning when I was there. The view at the top was nonetheless lovely.

Poor service. That lady did not help me with finding a gift card. Her role was basically to issue the receipt. For that job a machine would me optimal.

Massive place. Busiest train station in Switzerland. Go straight to Tourist Information in the large old building. Take a number - get all you questions answered.

Moleskin section is very good. They have a good book selection but keep in mind that is a small shop.

Solid train station. Many trains are arriving and departing everyday 5pm-1am. Most of them on time. Weekends all night trains.

Absolutely fantastic art museum in Zurich. Huge collections of Impressionist and modern art which are my personal favorite styles. They have several rotating exhibits which are worth visiting, but do not miss the permanent collections either! Highly recommend this museum, I would come back next time I am in town. Easy to spend 2-3 hours or more there.

This museum blew my mind away. You really need more than one day to absorb and delight in both the exhibits and the private collections. Take your time and if you need a respite they have a fantastic shop and a cool restaurant to gather your thoughts. A must when visiting Zurich.

A stunning museum hosted in a modernist structure made from holistic stone slabs along with golden accents. Super rich collection (and patrons I imagine), good effort to reexamine the museum as an institution and provide transparency. Almost makes me want to apply for an internship here!

Impressive collection from famous artists and from different artistics periods. I found it trick to walk without getting lost due to my inability to read the map. There is also an underground tunnel to access the other part of the museum, which I found quite interesting. Highly recommended for those who are visiting Zurich.

Massive collection of enormous cultural influence and value. Impressionist and post-impressionist galore. Elegant museum building with lots of air and light. I visited Kunsthaus over the weekend, and was pleasantly surprised that it was not crowded. According to Kunsthaus website, on Wednesdays admission is free. Visit to the Kunsthaus makes for a delightful day to remember and cherish. To everyone at Kunsthaus: thank you!

Very good collection with the big classic names and works of the modern art as well as interesting modern temporary exhibitions. Building is worth a visit as well. Large stairs, clean bathrooms and lots of art. Take your time to explore both buildings.

If it's your first time to Zurich and interested in fine arts, it is the must-come place for sure! Very elegant design of exhibition movements, and it's super cozy and elegant to hang around the exhibitions! Almost no border with the world famous paintings! And the best part is that it's much less crowded than some other major city museums!

Underrated. Paintings from some of the masters and great array of sculptures. A single ticket gets you into both buildings (across the Main Street from each other). There is an amazing sound room with hanging threads of bulbous lights that shift colors with slow ambient electronic music - great addition.

Kunsthaus is a great place to visit. The art collection is amazing and the temporary exhibitions are always interesting. I especially love the new building, it is so well designed and full of natural light. It's a gem in the middle of Zurich!

I can't explain what a special experience this is. A big and very impressive collection of art to rival most other cities - but without the crowds. I spent a whole day there, and I'd love to go back for more! What an incredible collection of Alberto Giacometti! My highlight was the glass/light/sound room. ❤️

What a great art museum! They have the largest collection of dada pieces in the world making in a exceptional experience if you follow that movement. There are many pieces from classic painters such as Picasso, Monet, Manet, Munch, Rembrandt, and more. There are two museum buildings across the street from each other which you can reach by crossing the street or by using the underground tunnel. Backpacks must be checked, photography is allowed, and the museum is free on Wednesdays except for the special rotating exhibit. Expect to spend 2-3 hours perusing the paintings.

I spent around 5 hours seeing exhibitions in 2 buildings which are connected with underground passage. The ticket was 29 CHF, expensive but definitely worth the money. The collection was amazing and inspiring... If you appreciate art, this is a must visit.

It is a beautiful and large museum, it is a pleasure to visit it. Its collection is very wide and diverse. You can see the works of artists of many different styles such as Monet, Picasso, Cezanne, Münch, Rodin, Chagall, Van Gogh, Andy Warhol, Alberto Giacometti. You can especially find some of Picasso's early paintings here. There are also exhibitions about modern art. The museum consists of two buildings and are connected by an underground passage. You can leave your belongings in the cloakroom with lockers at the entrance. Depending on your interest, you can spend half a day or a day here.

First time I visit it I was impressed despite being only a little boy, today the impression was even bigger , not only trough the age but also trough the new building which is a well done architectural project study to bring a lot of day light inside the building. The collection is wonderfull dispite the open / complicated topic... but atleast people are talking about it and this is already positive. A place to visit for art and arch. lovers

The staff was very helpful and welcoming. When we visited the gallery they had two exhibits, one with the subject of the time and one with the artworks themselves. The collection was very interesting and well organized with videos and audio description. Highly recommend to pay a visit whenever you are in Zurich!!

An excellent Museum all around! I wouldn't miss this even if you only have a day in Zurich. The building itself is an incredible work by David Chipperfield who is a pritzker prize winner and one of the best minimalist architects of our time. The collection is very high end for the size of museum it is. Even if you're a casual art viewer you will likely recognize a number of paintings from Van Gogh, Monet, Picasso and many others. I highly recommend it. Can be done in only a few hours.

The pinnacle of capitalist art collection. Absolutely stunning pieces of art, exhibited in not less stunning interiors. The space and air given to the art works really underlines their impact. Of course, this whole complex is a manifestation of what 400 years of capital accumulation can lead to - a temple of capitalism, embodied by thousands of precious relics.

This is the church with twin towers that is highly recommended by locals and is iconic of Zurich. Too bad that Swiss Travel Pass isn’t eligible for the church’s admission. The gentleman who sells the ticket was very friendly and polite. The church has a beautiful organ and the stained glasses are beautiful.

We were told that this would be a good sightseeing. It definitely was. Very old building which is still in good condition. The glass windows were mesmirizing. It's free to get in and it is easy to walk through. The detail is not as elaborate as one normally sees in as old churches and in southern Europe but still very majestic.

Also there is a tower which is suitable to climb to the top. We did not enter the church; however, even from the outside it looks very impressive and the bronze replica outside gives you a full picture of the church. For some reason, from afar, the church looks unnaturally impressive and large, as if it doesn't belong in the city, especially if you look at it from Lindenhof. The tower was closed, but we were still able to enter the church and look around and even without be able to climb the tower, it was worth visiting. Even our tween and teens enjoyed it! Since the tower was closed, it was free to enter. The carved entry door, agate windows and ornate organ were highlights.

Worth a visit for any Zwingli and/or reformists enthusiasts! The space is wide, simple and open, with minimal imagery. I highly recommend going up the tower. It’s 2 CHF as a student, and it comes with access to the bible collection. The view’s great as well. Do look out for Zwingli’s German translation of the bible, which is arguably one of the earliest German translations. For more info, look up on Wikipedia, not here.

Really creepy-awful church you can feel Zwingli still lecturing the Zurich folk. The stairs to the tower were very tight and the views at the top very hindered by the grading so very limited (it was very difficult to get a good photo of the Fraumunster). Just a bad vibe, especially compared to the Frau.

Both the church interior and exterior are lovely. The architecture, windows and frescoes are beautiful. We visited on a grey January day and it was still lovely. We were not able to enter the churt itself, but could climb to the choir loft and look over the entire building.

This is a beautiful church. Maybe it’s not one my top list(I think other evangelical congregations looks more plain and beautiful), but I think it has a sense of history which remind me of the Geneva bible and John Calvin, one of the Protestant revolution leader. They just stated fighting against the Roman Catholic Church because they made a fortune in a deceitful way. I think this church might represents a purity and simplicity in life which fully expresses the value of presbyterian. In conclusion, I think this is a good historical heritage to visit.

The Chagall windows alone are worth a visit, and DO ask for an audio guide -- the commentary on topics ranging from the church's history to Chagall's stained glass panels (and their meanings) are among the best I've ever heard

Although we did not go in, it is easy to admire the unique clock design and the green gothic-style spire that resembles that of the Predigerkirche. It's pretty much impossible not to look at, right across the bridge from the Grossmünster and it is certainly a sight to see. Highly recommend going inside of the church if you want or have time.

Lindenhof one of the best underrated place to visit in the Heart of Zurich. It has a magnificent panoramic view of Zurich city. This place a old history goes back to 850 BC. Sadly Lindenhof is slowly getting ruined by the youngsters at night. Must visit place.

Lindenhof is a free viewpoint right near the center of Zurich and is one of the must drop by spot when you are walking around the Old Town. The spot provides a good view of the river, buildings and a good scenic view. Recommend to drop by along the way while strolling around in Zurich.

What can I say, so pretty! There’s no Entrance Fee, it’s a Look Out point. Then there’s an ornate water spout for you to refill your water bottle & again it is Free of Charge. The Swiss are so proud of their water, drink it straight from the tap. But for these freebies, you need to walk up a short steep path & it’s worth it. Be warned that on the way up, there are so many quinessential stores which will delay your Arrival Time.

The contents of the permanent exhibition are great, and very well documented. There are many technologies to help us understanding the history of the country in detail without getting bored. Nonetheless, the self guiding across the different rooms that make the time sequence is sometimes hard. Most of the times the best option is to try all rooms and then see which one is first. The price is adequate for the contents of the entire museum. The architecture of the museum by its own is already worth the visit. You should definitely spend at least 2 hours here when visiting the city.

One of the best museums I have ever been in the world!! The design is so elegant and much less crowded than other major museums in other metropolitan cities. Here they have super well-preserved antiques and turn them into new multimedia to exhibit. Definitely a must-come museum in Zurich!

Excellent, must-see exhibitions in “history of Switzerland” and “Ideas of Switzerland” if you want to have a historical understanding of Switzerland. In the exhibition “history of Switzerland”, a complex history of more than 500 years were broken apart into easily digestible bite-size topics without losing the historical nuance. Both exhibitions deploy innovative use of AR and I nteractive technologies to enable multiple ways to understand the artifacts on display.

Great way to spend three hours. The history of Switzerland exhibit is fascinating. I was fortunate enough to see the Anne Frank exhibit as well. There is an original copy of her diary. I also learned that her Uncle (Otto I think) had to redact some of the details that were deemed too graphic for readers. Entry is free with the Swiss Pass, which was an added bonus.

Very interesting exhibitions. I loved one about Ideas of Switzerland and Mutilingual Switzerland. It takes 2-3 hours to see everything offered, but it's definitely worth it.

We had more than an hour on hand before our ride started for Heididorf from the Central bus station. So as the museum was close by we decided to spend some time there. Please note that the Landesmuseum entry is included in the Swiss travel pass. So we just strolled in there. Got our entry tickets from the counter , stored the luggage/bags and went in. 1. The displays were interesting from 3 D maps to valuable scrolls, photographs chronicling the history. A Must visit I would say

Best interactive experience I have had in a museum. There are multiple AR devices to visualize battles and the like on real, large dioramas. All exhibits are in depth, and we were able to spend forty minutes across 3 small rooms before we decided to pick up the pace. Highly recommend the history of Switzerland exhibit, but allocate 2+ hrs to get the complete experience.

Beautiful museum with a mix of old and new halitosis (damn autocorrect) I mean history! As you enter there is a reception desk immediately in front of you. To your right is the newer exhibitions and to you left is the old history. I went left first and after working my way through the 1200s I finally arrived at WWI which is what these pictures are showing. There’s something for everyone Enjoy your visit!

The most comprehensive and interesting museum one can visit in Zürich, it has a rich collection featuring exhibits from prehistoric societies which lived in what is today Switzerland, all the way to modern-day immigration to the country. Most exhibits are explained in German, French, Italian and English. Audio guides ans printed guides are available and the staff is friendly and will help guide you to the appropriate exhibits based on your interests. PS: There's also a lovely park right behind the premise.

Overall I liked it and found a lot of it interesting. The cost was pretty good for the amount of content. The layout was a little bit confusing. I would recommend visiting while in Zurich. The best part for me was the augmented reality and visual interactive displays. The use of modern technology to help enhance experience was outstanding.

I liked the 1st floor. other floors are not well organised... I felt I was in a maze in spite of the very rich content ... I think the details and equipment provided such as tablets explain well the contents. but the floor plan and levels maps is missing

Entry is free with Zurich card. The staff are friendly and helpful, even providing a coin for the locker room. I've visited numerous National Museums, but this one stands out as the most interactive! The use of technology to encourage exploration of artifacts and their stories is truly exceptional. Books that tell tales with sound and motion pictures featuring interesting facts, it's super impressive! This approach would make history more accessible for everyone worldwide. The exhibitions are outstanding, maintaining a high standard of creativity in storytelling. This museum is a must-visit during your time in Zurich. Just a heads up, plan for a minimum of 2.5 hours in the museum before taking a break at the cafe :)

We visited the Swiss National Museum on our last day of our trip. To be honest, we were expecting a lot more as there weren't much displays about the Swiss history, we had been to many National museums in Europe but this one was definitely not one of the best. We had Swiss Travel Passes so it's free entry. We only stayed there for 45 minutes. Not really our cup of tea....

Lovely museum and free with the Zurich card which is amazing :) Lots of really interesting things to look at and definitely the sort of museum you should visit a few times to get the full catalogue in. My gripes are two: - the fashion exhibition in the hall really detracted from exhibit. It felt out of place and make the hall crowded with jarring 80s esque colours/ items. I do understand that temporary exhibitions need a home but I felt that hall is not the place for something so jarringly modern. - the gift shop was utterly exorbitant even for Swiss prices. We left without anything as there wasn't anything that we felt reflected the price. The same could be said for the cafe. I would far prefer to pay for entry and have a reasonably priced shop/cafe rather than them very obviously recovering lost revenue from the Zurich card and other schemes through these avenues

Very beautiful and one of the entertaining museums I Have ever been in Switzerland . Designs are so elegant and much less crowded for any time of the day We almost spent 3hours glaring at everything lovely They have nicely preserved antiques and the multimedia exhibits are astonishing Great place to learn about Swiss history and culture In December, illumination festival is live and the decoration in courtyard was great. Adding Christmas market in the courtyard was a great move but also made it crowdy which was not expected

Had an amazing time at this museum. Definitely one of the things you need to do while visiting Zurich. Went with my 1 year old daughter and she had a blast on the kids floor.

A beautiful river in the middle of the city of Zurich. You can take a boat cruise to appreciate the beautiful city from the river. Very close to the downtown where you can enjoy a nice dinner with friends or family.

The best location in Zurich that you should visit! I love it when walk around here. The culture, the building, people here is very nice! You can go along beside this river to the lake. It’s relax and make you feel better. I saw many people picnic beside the river and the lake! If the weather isn’t hot I will love it too! You can go here easily by walk (there is tram to here but walked let you see the view here I’ll recommend it!) it’s around 1 km to zurich lake from Zurich HB station (it’s not so far right? Haha) but for one day in here I walked around 10 km!

Grab a floaty, some cold beverages and just enjoy a day on the river. A must on hot summer days in Zürich

Loved my visit here. Very informative and there were lots of interactive things you can touch or play with. Beautifully designed and nicely done! I especially enjoyed playing the mini football games they have and also looking at some of the world cup artifacts and trophies. Highly recommended if you are in the area visiting Zürich/Switzerland!

5 stars all the way!!!! This is a must-see place in Zürich, especially if you are a football fan. It was everything, from history, to games, interactive experiences, gift shop and a bistro. One could spend hours here just enjoying and immersing oneself in the world of football. The gift shop is equally amazing. The salesperson Mr. Carbos was amazing and well informed! Hat's off! Everything was well organized. The staff was extremely friendly and multi-lingual!

It is definitely a worthy visit if you're a football fan. Lots of football related stuff to see, history, mini games and activities to suit all ages. It's not huge so not really a day out, but would be no problem to fill 2 to 3 hours.

Nice fifa museum that brings you back in time to the World Cup. No doubt this place is great for kids. Entrance fee was 24CHF. Was it worth it? Only if you are a football fan (who knows your stuff) and you happen to be in Zurich. Otherwise, I’ve been to other club tours where it is so much more interesting than this place.

The Museum is a really great place to learn about the history of football and all of the world cups. You can see memorabilia and learn interesting facts about each world cup. There are interactive games near the end to practice kicking footballs. The staff is really nice and also teaches the guests about the beautiful game. I deduct one star for the entrance fee of 24 Fr. because FIFA has enough money already, it doesn't need to be this high.

If you are a football fan, you fall in love with this place as it brings all the nostalgia for the past FIFA worldcups. There are lots of educational materials on the evolution of football in the past 100 years and so that is very cool. If you go to this museum with kids, they will have tons of fun since there a few sections with lots of games designed for them.

It's a great place to find lots of interesting facts about football. The tour was amazing as the staff is very passionate about football. There's a little cinema where you can watch a few short videos. There are some activities where the kids can enjoy playing games and try them in football :) We enjoyed it, thank you!

If you are a football fan, you will have to visit this place. It is well done. You can do a self guided tour and I would recommend at least 2hrs for your visit.

Very interesting place. Lots of football history. Close to Bahnhof Enge (train station) which is easy to reach from all over Zurich. Public transport is advisable. The restaurant has some good food. I recommend the pulled beef 🍖 from the Cuban chef. Delicious!

When you’re a football/soccer fan and you’re in Zürich you need to go. Especially with Kids it’s a fun place with the activity area. Lots of cool stuff from World Cup history displayed very nicely. Plan for about 1-2 hrs for your visit.

A really amazing place I would recommend to visit, even if you are not a football fan or you are with kids. There are a lot of things to see and to do (as there are some interactive exhibitions). There are also free lockers you can use to save your things. At the end of the tour there’s a souvenir shop, where you can buy a lot of things, specially signed t shirts from top players.

Well worth the visit for anyone. You don't need to be the biggest fan to appreciate the history on display. Every country is represented. Men's and women's teams are represented. From pre-history to present day. Lots of historical items and interactive displays and activities. The whole family enjoyed it!

I expected more, however, for a huge fan of football this place is amazing. All World Cup history in one place. Every tournament described with shirts from legendary players! Important! Locker room is able to have small suitcases if you need.

So as a football fan a must see in Zurich. You can get a locker for free to put your bags, jackets in it... Plan a minimum of 2 hours ;)

It’s the place to visit if you like football. You get to experience the journey, see actual trophies, memorabilia. Recommend to book ticket in advance, we had to wait for 10-15 mins in Queue to get the ticket. Average time to spend is about 1-2 hours. Entry was 42 SFr for Adults. They have a sports bar too where there will be public viewing of football matches. Recommend visit.

A great experience for every football fan. But also for people that aren’t very familiar with the sport it’s great. There are a lot of games trophies and fun activities you can see and play with. Great for children and families but also for those who want to see the iconic items.

It's a fantastic museum, in a great location. It was amazing to see the World Cup Trophy, the 211 participating countries jerseys and memorabilia from years ago. The staff were friendly, and the museum was spotlessly clean. Lots for children and adults to do and see. You can even get a photo with your favourite icon player emailed to you! A 5 star experience.

This was a fantastic museum. We went to the Manchester EPL museum a few weeks ago and thought we hit the jackpot, but this place is significantly better. Visited on a weekday afternoon during April. No queues, not too many people, quite a relaxing visit. The displays were very well put together, with a great international focus (i.e. it isn't just a "Swiss" museum). Plenty in English and other languages too. There are lockers downstairs, where bags and coats should be stored. The pinball interactive exhibit was incredible. The final stage was being repaired, but the rest of the exhibit was usable. Everyone gets one turn on each section, keeping it fair and keeping the queues short.

Loved it here, so much memorabilia and things of interest and we lived the interactive football challenges at the end. So many interesting items to view from mens, women's, youth and digital fields. Even the free lockers used famous footballers names rather than numbers. Spent ages reading them all. Use the zurich card to get 30% off admission too.

Very nice and attractive museum, especially for those who likes football. You can see the entire football history, starting from the FIFA foundation, first referee laws, first whistle and chronometer, first boots, seats from many stadiums around the world, an overview of all World Cup’s, etc. Strongly recommend to visit.

A lot of interesting items to check, famous shirts, boots, trophies, parts of historic stadiums. World cup trophy is there. Can play e-sports, dance one of the famous world cup celebrations, pretend you are referee, commentator. There is even ball challenge, 5 different courses you need clear with a ball. Had a lot of fun there!

lovely interractive museum focused on history of the game. you can play footbal on pc or in real life games. lockers did not work for both me and other people around. video highlights are looking very futuristic. accesibility doesn't seem to be a forte. They are working on expanding their section on woman footbal.

St. Peter's Church is visible from all over the town along with other two Churches of Fraumunster and Grossmunster, making it an important and distinctive part of Zurich panorama. It has the biggest clock face in Europe, but I found it very simple and nothing extraordinary. Moreover, the interiors left a pretty disappointing impression when we entered. The Church is on Limmat's right bank, on an elevated position near the Lindenhof view point, so be prepared for some walking uphill

A historical church that is quite different from the other Zurich churches, in that when we visited, the door was left opened with no one manning it. We were able to explore the interior on our own and there was also no entry fees. The church is also quieter than the others and felt more peaceful.

It might be worth a quick stop if you're nearby and interested in its external facade and the clock, but we felt our time could be better spent exploring other unique spots in the city. Overall, for those with a deep interest in Zurich's historical sites, a closer inspection might reveal more charms that we missed from afar. However, for casual tourists, it’s a pleasant enough view from the outside but not a must-see unless you're passing right by.

Beautiful, historic, ancient church with a wonderful bell toll. Take the time to walk around the roads leading to the church as there are many great picture opportunities.

Very nice historical church visited as part of a tour group unique story behind the clock and if you look closely you will notice that 4oclock is written as IIII and not IV. According to the tour guide the daily work schedule was from 8a-6p and people were not as literate back then so too often people were quitting at 4 (IV) instead of 6p (VI) so they decided to eliminate any confusion and make 4p be IIII

One of the four main churches of old town Zurich, the tower stands with an amazing huge clock. The inside rather on the small side, but still brilliant to see.

The church looks grand with its own plaza, where you find some benches and a nice wooden table, under tree shade. We had a nice food break there.

Pretty church, and nicely you don’t have to pay to see the inside. We were fortunate that someone was skillfully playing the organ during our visit.

No tickets are required to enter the church, but you won't be able to enter after 6 pm. The inside is pretty small and very quiet. You'll find signs on both sides of the church detailing the history of the church and it's significance towards the protestant reformation, especially in Switzerland. However, all the signs are in German so expect some difficulties if you don't speak German. A church associate was present in the back of the church to answer questions and help you on your visit.

This is a quiet holy place , less crowded. One can easily walk inside , pray and view. We went inside and also sat on chairs outside.
