A very wonderful and suggestive place. I really loved the place! It is equally interesting and intriguing in each of its parts. The outside gives you a beautiful view on the city while the internal part is full of cozy and wonderful gardens where to walk and relax immersed in history. Very amazing place

You got to climb a lot at stairs but it is worth it. Wonderful gardens and impressive view points awaits you. Get a cold beer on the top, it’s 2,5 euros and comes with shade and a view.

Very enjoyable visit for just €3.50 with a QR code on display inside the entrance you can access the multilingual audio tour, this makes for an easy 1 hour 30 mins self guided tour of one of Málaga’s dominant historical structures. Free Audio tour is a must to enhance your visit all Complimented by great views of the city and port.

Very interesting palace/fortification built in the years of Muslim occupation in Spain. The beautiful architecture and gardens are well worth the visit. The admission price is insignificant compared to the sights to be seen. Excellently maintained but there is only so much that can be done for accessibility. Lots of steps and some are steep to see everything. Ramp and/or elevator at both entrances.

It was such a wonderful place, with many tour guides hosting groups of people. Remember to bring some headphones that connect to your phone, as they have audio terminals available. I also appreciated their price scaling for situations of importance (lower income, elderly, etc). I went with the regular, measley €5,50 for 48 hours I believe. A fun aside, there was a couple taking their wedding photos there! I completely recommend the visit and you will see Málaga as it was meant to be seen! Also, they have easy to use self help kiosks to buy your tickets. Didn't take long at all.

The Alcazaba of Málaga is a beautiful and historic fortress that offers stunning views of the city and the Mediterranean Sea. I highly recommend visiting the Alcazaba, especially on Sundays when it is free to enter from 2pm. The views from the Alcazaba are simply breathtaking. You can see the entire city of Málaga spread out below you, as well as the Mediterranean Sea and the surrounding mountains. The fortress itself is also very impressive, with its well-preserved walls and towers. I would recommend taking the long walk up to the Alcazaba, as it is well worth it. The walk itself is quite enjoyable, as you pass through narrow streets and alleyways lined with shops and restaurants. Once you reach the top, you will be rewarded with stunning views of the city and the sea. The Alcazaba is a must-see for anyone visiting Málaga. It is a beautiful and historic place with amazing views. I highly recommend visiting on Sundays when it is free to enter from 2pm. Here are some additional tips for visiting the Alcazaba: * Wear comfortable shoes, as the walk up to the fortress can be quite steep. * Bring water, especially if you are visiting on a hot day. * Be sure to visit the towers for the best views. * Take your time and enjoy the walk through the fortress. * If you are visiting on a Sunday, be sure to arrive early to avoid the crowds.

This is a fantastic place well managed. It's a fresh place with lots of vegetation, beautiful pieces of building and old stones mixed to modern repairs. You can cross road with some squirrels here who are not really afraid if you are calm and gentle. Good photo souvenir.

It is great place to see and visit. Views are stunning and it is totally worth it. There is audio guide which you can connect to with the phone by scanning the QR code. You can really enjoy walking around and exploring and listening to the history. Views are amazing especially if you visit close to sunset. Also there is a bar so you can refresh and make a stop during sightseeing. Definitely worth to explore and you can easily spend half of the day walking around. Tickets can be bought on the machine at the entrance. Can be combined with the Gibralfaro castle visit.

The castle is very impressive and has a very beautiful old architecture.If you walk through the castle with the audio guide, you will learn a lot about the history of the castle but also about Malaga. Once you have made your way to the top, you will be rewarded with a breathtaking view. Admission is absolutely worth it and I highly recommend a visit.

Very nice and well preserved fortress. Really pretty architecture and it wasn't too busy on a friday morning. Nice cafe to the side of the fortress too. You can buy tickets at the door via a ticket machine.

Not really authentic. Most buildings were lost to time, replaced by houses, and rebuilt to (what they taught was) the original shape only recently. And the views are obviously not as good as from the upper Gibralfaro castle. But it's so cheap, and the audio guide is full of nice historical information, it's still worth the visit. Don't miss the audio guide QR code just after the entrance! FYI, the two castles are connected, but you cannot use the connection, and have to go around.

Nice castle to visit. Went on a "small group tour" from our cruise ship. When we got to the castle it was very crowded. The structure is in good shape and it is worth seeing. There is not a lot of information or historical pieces to see there.

Fantastic, if very touristy, site that is super cheap to enter. I didn’t get the audioguide (virtual only so you’re SOL if you have no data on your phone, or like me, it just didn’t connect). I still enjoyed regardless walking around the structures and the gorgeous views from the ramparts. Spent about an hour. Buy a ticket online to cut the queue.

Really interesting and inspiring place to visit. Interesting both for adults and children and teens. We’ve visited only one (lower level) part of the castle and spent there about 2 hours. Incredible views are opened up from this castle.

Very fun place to visit and less busy than expected. Very peaceful place with good views for those who don't want to climb up to the castle (Very tiring in the heat). Price of entry (2,50 € for both venues for students) was an absolute bargain.

Beautiful place all the buildings are well preserved except for the exterior walls but its normal. The views are amazing and breathtaking. All the plants are vibrantly green and amazing, a lot of the flowers have a very pleasant smell also. The pigeons are cute and pretty, and somehow there is not a lot of waste from them which is good. You need to get ready for a lot of walking, but it's definitely worth it.

It was easy to buy tickets on arrival. There are various concessions, plus they also have free days on the weekend. There are plenty of steps and uphill walk so be prepared. Beautiful inside. So much history. And there is also a lift on the road which is at the side of the ramp. It is signposted. Tickets are also available at the lift entrance so need to climb up to the main entrance, buy tickets and walk all the down and to the side to get the lift.

Impressive old castle in a very good condition. For 5.5 euro you can by directly a combo ticket which is valid for the whole complex. No need for reservation in advance. Audio guide is available in different languages directly through a QR Code.

Castle is pretty nice but prepare your feet’s:). There is many stairs and also you must walk up to hill. But there is so many nice spots to have nice pictures. Thera are nice gardens with fountains and water strings. Enjoy your stay a relax in gardens or inside house to get more energy.

A tremendous evocation of what the original fort/palace must have been like (I understand that it is partially restored). The palatial elements at the top of the hill (beautiful courtyards with pools and planting) contrast with the fort-like elements lower down. Great views of the city, port and mountains all round. We took the lift to the top (from around the side) and worked our way down. A beautifully sited cafe/bar quite close to the main gatehouse (again with great views). The combined admission price with the Gibralfaro castle (€5.50) is a steal!

Cool, but I agree that if you have been to the Alhambra it won't wow you the same way. You can walk up the back road for free if the views are what you're after - and they are beautiful. However I think it would've been better if I'd gotten a guide or an audio tour, so that may be my fault. :)

Great views, vendors with food or jewellery located around the castle but you need to prepare your feet because it's a very long walk I would really recommend not having a heavy bag/backpack because it's going to weigh you down and make the walk very uncomfortable if you walk the whole distance but if you walk a short distance it's ok, the seagulls are alright with you taking photos of them they might glance at you strangely ( like I've captured in the photos) but apart from that they are chill Thank you for reading this review I appreciate it

Alcazaba with the roman theater is a perfect place to walk around in February. The weather was amazing with stunning view. They have free audio guide for the people with interest in history and architecture. At the top of this place they have the palace now converted to a museum. Overall takes 2-3 hours to walk around the places.

Very cool historical site with gorgeous views of city and interesting architecture. Scan the free audio tour with €3.50 ticket price to enhance the experience. Afterwards, walk up the path beside the Alcazaba to see the castle but I don’t recommend buying an entrance ticket as much of the castle wall walks were closed and you get same views on the walk up. Toilets are onsite. BONUS: the Alcazaba has a very cute pizzeria on site to enjoy with sweeping city views.

Amazing experience. I went on a solo trip and I had a great time! Better if you bring a selfie stick 😁 I was surprised to see that it was a free entry (I went on a Sunday in January). The weather was just so nice, maybe avoid going during the summer as you will have to walk and climb up to the top.

Visited in April and it was pretty busy. Very nice historical place. Has multiple indoor expositions of artifacts, a beautiful walk around the gardens and premises and lovely sights of the city below. For me it was worth the walk up.You can buy tickets to visit both Alcazaba and Gibralfaro at the start, or buy separate tickets at the entrance to Gibralfaro. Paid 5.5 euro/adult for Alcazaba+Gibralfaro, was free for our 5 y.o.

A beautiful museum with lots of art from Pablo Picasso. Recommend to buy the tickets before due to long waiting time. Biggest pieces from Picasso are here in the museum. But the museum could be a bit bigger. Audio guide is included and in many languages available.

For any art lover, I would totally recommend this place. The way they have designed the exhibitions and the house selected tell a good story of Picasso life. And the world knows Picasso mostly for his cubist paintings, but I was really enchanted by his sculpture work, specially with metal. It was good. Recommend to take a ticket online (there’s a separate but very long queues) and they don’t allow water from outside, which is fair. But they should provide some water. The museum cafe is a joke with 500 ml bottle for 2 Euros.

A fascinating walk through Picasso's long life. You will find rooms you like more than others, but it shows the full depth and range of the artist. Allow an hour. And purchase tickets in advance (even same day), it will save you an hour+ wait in the queue.

A very nice museum, probably to best in Malaga. You can buy tickets online and queue for about 40 minutes or buy them at the entrance and go back to queue after 3pm. The museum has 2 main rooms, one per floor, both dedicated to Picasso himself. The last space is for temporary installations. All around a good experience, but it’s a crowded space with too many people per room.

Housed in an old palace in the old town. A relatively small collection of works that were bequeathed by Picasso's daughter in law. Mostly minor pieces from each stage of Picasso's development, though with a strong selection of late paintings from the 50s and 60s. Not in the same league as the phenomenal collections in Paris and Barcelona, but worth a visit if you have a spare hour. Recommend buying an advance ticket online to skip the queues...

Booked on line, had to queue as we got there 20 minutes early. On line queue was shorter than those buying the ticket on the day. We did get in at the allocated time. Free audio guide. Fantastic building and setting for a museum. 19 euro for 2 people. We are not big art lovers, but we did enjoy the Picasso Museum in his home town. Don't forget you can also visit his birth place which is only a few minutes walk away from the museum(3 euro entry)

Without a doubt, one of the places you must visit when in Malaga. A wonderful collection of works not only by Picasso but also by artists who continued this art movement. Amazing paintings and sculptures from various periods of the artist's work. The works of others are also amazing and the time spent here will be one of the best in Malaga!

Let’s start with the most important. Picasso exhibition was (temporarily) closed during out visit! So we were able just to see a few of Picasso’s pictures. This is a reason for 3 stars only. Otherwise I would rate with 5*. We really liked the museum built nicely into an anciant house. The exhibition area is spaceous, clean and well-lighted. Unfortunately, we could see mostly pieces of art inspirated by Picass, as the permanet exhibition was closed due to reconstruction. There is also a coffeshop, garden and 2 shops with books and souveniers. Downstairs you can see ancient ruins. The toillets are downstairs as well. We were lucky to visit the museum during the bank holiday for free (and you can probably do it also on Sundays afternoons). If you decide to pay for the ticket check first if the Picasso permanent exhibition is reopened. You hato to store your baggage in the lockers (for free). Free wifi available. No restrictions to taking photos.

Museum wasn’t fully opened. There was only one exposition. It was nice but I was there for 40 minutes. There was painting of another painters. For me was best to visit basement. There was ruins of old Roman building. And entrance price you will get also audio guide for free, in English :). Enjoy your stay.

🇨🇦 review here. This was a must see for me but I only arrived in the last hour it was open. It’s not a bit exhibit so that was enough time. I was lucky that it wasn’t busy so there was lots of space between people but there is nowhere to sit so prepare to stand all the time. You can get very very close to the paintings which is nice. The audio guide on your phone (with wifi) is great. There is an amazing sculpture where you can see Picasso’s fingerprints!

Once in Malaga, you need to visit this Museum which covers the whole spectrum of creation of Pablo Picasso. Impressive setting and magnificent works of art. During high season period, you may encounter some waiting in line in order to enter. But you will be fully compensated by the remarkable feeling this place has to offer.

From all the Picasso museums I have been (Barcelona, Paris and his house in Malaga) this was definitely the best. Great artwork in both the permanent and temporary exhibitions. If you like Picasso's artwork you must come to this museum and expect to stay there for about 2 hours. I reserved for the first time in the morning and it was worth it as I got the museum emptier than usual. Just be sure to buy your tickets a couple days in advance. I forgot to do it and the website was not working. Gladly I managed to buy tickets for the next day directly in the ticket office.

A famous museum for the artist, Pablo Picasso, who was born in Malaga. The museum is well-kept and clean. However, it was extremely crowded with crowd control in almost every gallery. Exhibits are also a bit confusing in terms of linear order. Too many students are here being rowdy and just disrupting the space on a weekday. For the price (with audio guide), it is just a bit of a shame. The place is nice to visit but you won’t suffer if you miss it.

Great museum! They have a lot of Picasso's art. You can spend at least 2 hours looking at them. I want to say more than 40 artworks plus other artists'. I recommend buying tickets in advance just in case. When I went it was pretty full.

Gorgeous museum in an old palace. That said, most of the more popular paintings are held in other museums. This museum talks to you about Picasso’s story and legacy, with what feels like more artwork by others that were inspired by him than by the man himself. There is a curious area, “archeology”, where you get to see some ruins under the museum. Giving it 4 stars as there wasn’t as much Picasso as you’d expect from his museum.

One hears the Picasso name and instantly associates him with art. I can't say I fully know and appreciate his work, but it was until today's visit, that I was positive overall about some of his colourful abstract pieces. However, this visit to the Picasso Museum has made me decide that I DON'T actually like his works. I am sure he has his fans, but I find his pieces vulgar, aesthetically unpleasant, and uninteresting. Some of his art is not suitable for under 12s in my view. The museum venue itself is quite classy, but the outside queues are typically long. The rooms could be confusing for some people, and there seems to be a lack of a system to progress from one place to another in a logical manner. For me, the large crowds and queues are a case of the "Picasso brand" attracting the mainstream - but in the end, I found this visit a very damp squid experience and rather tasteless. It did nothing for me personally.

Tip: Get there early as there is always a long queue. Can get quite busy inside which makes it hard to appreciate the work without feeling a little rushed. But beautiful building and outstanding art!

Work with paints and canvas, pencil and paper, clay, ceramic, metal, etc. The museum also has a special exhibition of the works of Picasso's followers When the building where the museum is located was restored, the remains of ancient buildings of the 7th-3rd centuries BC were found. You can see it on the basement floor Entrance fee is 13 euros when you buy at the entrance and 12 euros when you buy online. The ticket includes an audio guide. The museum has a cafe and a couple of souvenir shops

Great place to spend time getting to know ancient history of the region. The museum has several floors. Each floor with a different exhibition. Mostly I enjoyed archeology. Though the third floor and terrace was close during my visit. I recommend the place for people seeking to know the history of the region better.

This is one of the most impressive cathedrals I have seen in Europe. The cost to get in was €8 for the main building and another €4 if you wanted to do the roof top walk. The size and opulence of this place is truly amazing. There is an audio guide for your phone you get as part of the entrance fee, so I would advise bringing headphones for your phone. While it can seem like all the churches and cathedrals blend into one another when traveling Europe, this one stands out due to the star size and beauty. The audio tour was well done and it will take you about 1.5 hours. All in all a great spot.

Beautiful architecture but lackluster overall. Price - Too much for such a short experience, as you could experience most of it in a very short ammount of time. Atmosphere- Actually very nice atmosphere. Translation or other aid - Functional, but wish it was preprogrammed into automatically play as you go. Ended up not using it after only a few tries. Overall a beautiful location to visit, but be aware the price isn’t the best, and there are multiple other locations that offer more value for it’s price.

Taken me a few months to get around to posting. But if you are visiting Málaga soon you should definitely make a stop to Catedral de la Encarnación de Málaga. The photos don't really do justice to just how vast the space is, and how decadent it is. It was lovely to visit such an amazing piece of history.

🇨🇦 review here. Happened by this Cathedral and there was no line so I went in not even knowing what it was. WOW what a place. They have an absolutely excellent audio guide for free (with wifi) on your phone. Great explanations. Lots of places to sit while listening. It wasn’t busy so there was lots of space when I was there on a Wednesday midday. I recommend it for the low entry fee.

Does it make the top 10 list of cathedrals? Probably not. Is it worth paying the entrance fee? Probably if you combine it with the tower option which gives great views over the city. There's a free audio guide you can upload onto your phone with a QR code which also helps add some meaning. However from the outside it is an imposing structure and gives some great photo options both during the day and at night. There are a couple of restaurants and bars in the square facing the front which make a great spot to enjoy the view and a glass of wine in the evening.

Beautiful and impressive cathedral from in an outside. You should buy the ticket for inside (8€) and rooftop (4€), really worth to see both. The rooftop (200 stairs) has a beautiful view all over the city. Please inform yourself for the entry times of the rooftop, early afternoon its may not accessible because of the heat outside. This a very grand building, it's worth the visit just to observe the sheer size of it. The craftsmanship it a thing to behold and it has a layout quite different to many of the Cathedrals I've visited in the past. We arrived late in the day so there were no queues as such. We also didn't go to the roof but it's reccomend if you have the time and don't mind heights. Over all very impressive!

Lovely inside but worth the €8 to get inside? Absolutely not. I’ve seen far more ornate cathedrals in Spain and elsewhere (Toledo as one example), for free. It’s also quite small inside despite the huge exterior. I’m glad I came for the free visit at 8:30am-9am (everyday M-Sat) and was there no more than a half hour myself. A few other people also joined my stroll around inside. It’s also quite dim that early in the morning, so many of the finer internal features are obscure. Might be lighter later in the day…

Beautiful view from the roof about entire Malaga could even be more beautiful then the Cathedral inside. It's a lot of stairs bro get up but the view is stunning. We did the last tour of the day and it gives a nice play of sunset colours as well.

The inside is as impressive as the outside. Definitely worth it. Be sure to buy a ticket that includes access to the tower! The views are great. The personnel speaks English very well so communication shouldn't be a problem. P.S. Whoever tells you there are 200 steps to the rooftop is lying. There are 183 😂

Beautiful Cathedral.  We stayed for mass to get the full experience.  The church closes when mass is in progress.  One of the exterior characteristics is that one of the bell towers was never completed.  You can see the unfinished tower in pictures.  The interior is gorgeous and cavernous.  Worth the time.

Construction slowed down because funds were rerouted to support the US war of Independence. To this day, the second tower remains unbuilt, which gave the church the nickname "The One-armed Lady". Two impressive organs. Entry for adults is €8, which contributes towards restoration. Waiting time was 5-10min. Free audio guide. Wheelchair and stroller accessible. Optionally, you can also buy tickets to visit the rooftop.to get great views of the city.

Just do it. It’s a magnificent building with well written audio guide. Roof tours start every hour and also a nice thing to do. If you are not fit, stay last in the group when climbing stairs to the roof. This ways you’ll not stall people behind you.

Spectacular cathedral with the option to walk on the roof too, which is a must do if you are able to walk the 200 steps to the top. You spend about 30 minutes up there with 360 degree views as you walk around the whole roof.

10€ for a Cathedral. Was it impressive as the ceiling is very high? Yes. Does that makes it worth it? No. I personally would say, try to go during free hours before the mass or skip it, you aint missing much really.

Beautiful cathedral! It's 8 euros but worth it. It comes with an audio guide. Local people have discounts without it somehow. It was raining so I didn't do the roof (cubiertos) tour. My visit was on normal Monday afternoon with rain.... no reservation but only a couple of minutes wait to go inside. Recommend.

A magnificent and massive cathedral in the center of Malaga. One of the largest cathedrals in Spain. Entrance fee is 10 EUR. This includes an audio guide in a dozen different languages. Worth visiting!

Beautiful cathedral. Perfectly situated and easy to get to as it is just down the street from the main square and from the opposite direction. Pretty much straight across the road from the port.

The visit exceeded our expectations. The cathedral is huge and beautiful inside. We also paid for the walk on the roof (at 13:00) and it was worth it. You can see the catedral first and come for the roof top walk later. It starts outside in the garden. Toilet available in the cathedral next to the exit.

Lovely port for a surprisingly wonderful port city. Yes, it is a long 30 minute walk from the port to the town and parks.... BUT their port is one of the nicest we have seen. Shops, bathrooms, restaurants, art installations, and covered walkways. This was a pleasure to walk through and clearly an attraction for residents AND tourists. This port was a real surprise for us and we strongly recommend you stay in town if you have never been here. Lovely and adorable ancient town with intact walls, gardens, old city center and markets, churches, palaces, and a castle. Almost a fairy tale like town. Save Granada and Cordoba for later and enjoy this great town!

Relaxing afternoon with a glass of wine and music along the waterfront

We were so tired when we got here after touring 2 museums. The excitement of this area perked us right up! Beautiful scenery, sailboats, yachts, artist market, dining and shopping. A really fun spot to visit.

We stopped overnight at the Port of Malaga on October 17th, 2022. It's a nice walk along the pier to a number of waterfront restaurants, or a quick taxi ride to visit Malaga's historic center where you can get retail therapy, eat to your heart's content and see the Catedral de la Encarnación de Málaga.

A great area to explore ways something nautical to observe & much more besides. Bars shop & restaurants line one side of the port. The side nearest the city has nice gardens to stroll through & there is a childrens' play area. Boat trips can be booked as well. This is a good area to walk around away from the bustle of the city.

Malaga is a gorgeous city and the port is no exception. It has a beautiful, modern design with broad, picturesque walk ways lined with restaurants, shops and market stalls to suit all interests. It is vibrant and lively no matter the time or day if the week. Definitely a must visit when you're there.

Worth the walk. With stunning views to go and visit. Many places to eat from and shops to visit. Lovely walk down on a sunny day or none sunny day. Views are beautiful. Would recommend for some time out. A lot of souvenir places near by to shop. Fast food restaurants are in close walk. Highly recommend

One of the better ports I've been to. Not too much walking. Close to the city center, historical attractions and not too far from the airport.

Visited Malaga today to see the Symphony of the Seas, the largest cruise ship in the world and she is beautiful, I couldn’t get right up close but the visit was worth it. Had some lunch and enjoyed sitting in the cafes on the port and in the City Centre. Malaga is a special vibrant city and well worth visiting there is always something to do and see. The shopping in the Port is also very good.

Amazing architecture and amazing views from the castle of the surrounding city, countryside and mountains. We walked up to the castle from downtown, but it is easier to have a taxi drop you off there. We enjoyed our visit very much, and spent about an hour and a half exploring the castle, it’s surrounding walks, and gardens. There is a small museum inside the castle with good historical information, and it is included in the cost of the entrance fee. A great place to visit for great views and some fantastic photos!

No complaints the tour was excellent , beautiful place to visit. I enjoy posting video and pictures on Google before I do anywhere. Firs I check Google review, it great engine. Please travel.

It is seriously frustrating coming to Spain to speak Spanish and Sunday, I've heard English, French, Portuguese, Italian, Dutch, and only the taverns spoke Spanish. The place is serious walking. Measured 12000 steps up, just up. The castle close by is a dream HOWEVER, as someone 58 years old, I'm super glad I did the highest fortress first!! The walk through the castle is a museum and it's intense, accompanied by the Roman Amphitheater. All that first would have lowered my drive. Oh! Are you a video gamer? Tell me where you find a scene from Witcher 3 in the castle grounds. Look for it! He had to kill them all. Tell me when you find it!!

Only walls left from the original castle, but since the views from them are great and the entrance is dirty cheap, it's still worth the climb. Don't miss the audio guide QR code just after the entrance! FYI, the two castles are connected, but you cannot use the connection, and have to go around.

This had amazing views of the city! 360 views. WOW! It was 3.50 to enter but totally worth it. There was a bar there right when you walked in if you needed a drink or snacks. It was a lot of stairs but the view was worth it. It was pretty crowded but you still had room to get your own pictures.

It looks like a fort with great views of the city and a low entrance fee. Our Taxi driver was unaware of where the main entrance to the castle was and we ended up being dropped at the bottom of the hill. This resulted in a long climb to get to the top, only to be greeted by a few cars and a tour bus. The castle had well maintained gardens and a little building with some historically relevant objects and information. The path going around the top of the walls is quite narrow and preferably should be one way but worth it enough for the views.

Long and steep walk to this castle on the edge of Málaga but worth every step of it for the incredible views of the city and surrounding area. The castle itself is pretty cool too and worth the small entrance fee. A great way to spend a couple of hours.

Very nice place to spend 1-2 hours when the sun is not strong. (The last entry time is around 19:00) If you take the bus no.35 from the main road(the big one between the green park), the total cost would be 6.3 Euro per person ( entry 3.5 + bus 1.4 x 2 ). The stairs are somewhat high so wearing comfortable shoes is recommended. * Tips for public transportation as I leaned :) - Bus : 1.4 Euro per each ride The driver takes small cash (no 10 Euro bill!) or you can pay w/ VISA/Master card (great!) - Metro: (only) 0.3 Euro per each ride So never charge a high amount!!! There is no refund function in the machine. And there is no integrated ticket for bus+metro.

The long history of these walls and fortress, wonderful views, a walk along the walls with viewpoints on every side of the city. Buy a ticket for everything (the lower part of the Alcazaba castle), it's definitely worth it. You can get there by leaving the upper part and going down along the walls.

The views are amazing, especially on a sunny clear day. Free entrance on Sundays after 14:00. The walk up is okay, a bit steep in places, but well worth the effort. I was impressed how a pregnant Mom expecting on June 1st persevered even taking well deserved rests along the stairs. She motivated me! Enjoy!!!

The entry is 3,50€ so don't forget to have some coins because they must be put in the machine before you get the ticket. Small price for such a nice peaceful place with a view.

Pretty formidable castle. It's a long walk up the hill before you get in. Lots to see, many walls to walk. The audio guide is nice and informative but the Castillo misses an extensive one. Also I could favor a bit dressing up. All signs and explanations are in Spanish, so I missed detailed information. A multiple language audio guide could help out here.

The view while going up this place it's amazing 🤩🤩🤩 You can see the whole city from above, as well as the sea and harbor. The way up is a little suffocating, mostly if you go in summer, because of the heat. I would recommend wearing sports shoes and comfortable clothes, as well as a hat and taking a bottle of water. Although, you may find some people on the way, who sell bottles of water for 1€. The tickets to go inside the castle cost 3.50€ per person and have different offers, in case you want to visit the other edification next to the castle too. Once inside, there is a little bar, where you can sit and drink something at a very nice terrace with a wonderful view, again. There are restrooms as well. Walking the wall is breathtaking, you can take beautiful pictures all over and contemplate the city.

Really cool and old castle, not a lot to see in my opinion but the views are worth it. You can see the entire city of Malaga and the Mediterranean sea which is nice. Also the entrance is free on Sundays from 2 PM

Beautiful place! Steep walk up alongside the amazing city views. Bring water and sun protection! Just €5,50 for both the monuments. Remains are in really good shape and give you a perfect view of the life back than. We had a nice drink in the bar. Friendly staff and definitely worth a visit when you visit Malaga!

The castle and grounds are very well kept and well worth a visit. The entry price is not expensive with reductions for disabled. The views from the ramparts have steep steps but are stunning. There is a very nice inner courtyard with informative botanical information.

Beautiful old castle, the way up is a bit of an exercise but there is also a bus if you don't want to walk. Stunning views all around over the city and ocean. Free audioguide over a QR code, however, you need to use your data. Would recommend getting a combined ticket with Alcazaba, which is valid for 48hrs.

Beautiful views but lost a star because of the disrespectful treatment from security gate personnel. I am a student (in England) so I attempted to purchase the student rate ticket (€2 less). Security guard asked me if I have student ID and I explained that I’m not a Spanish resident but that I had pictures of my student ID and letters from uni. The guard responded to me in an aggressive, argumentative manner, saying that if I don’t have anything to prove my student status, they couldn’t let me buy that ticket. His demeanour towards me was as if I was a petty thief trying to pilfer €2 out of the establishment’s pocket. It was a prime example of someone bigger trying to assert their authority over a smaller individual. When I showed my student status letter to the guard, he didn’t look at it and instead called over another lady and told me to show it to her (which made me think, why is he fussing over it if he’s not checking my student ID?). This lady goes to the ticket machine and continues the transaction for the student rate. She didn’t even bat an eye at my phone screen and taps away on the ticketing screen. I said, “you haven’t even looked at my student ID”. She replied, “I’ve finished looking at it”. She did not read anything off my phone nor gesture to take my phone and read it. I should note that I do speak Spanish as it is my degree. If you do happen to look like a “foreigner” in the south of Spain, you are going to be spoken to as if you lack some mental capability. On another note, I recommend you hike up there in time for opening at 09.00 AM, to avoid the tourist swarms.

Be prepared for a challenging walk to get to this Castillo particularly on a hot day but definitely worth the walk for the view alone. Very cheap we paid just over 5 euros which gives access to 2 attractions and you download the free audio guide for full information to what you're looking at. It's a must do if you're in Malaga.

Please take the bus :), I didn’t do it and it was bad idea. You but walk to top and sun is shining directly on you. There is no free water. So you can buy it only from guys on the way for 1,5€/0,5L. On top you have nice view on surrounding mountains and city. There is also one building, small museum and also one cafe, so you can refresh there and price is really low, I was expecting higher prices. There is safe so you can drink and enjoying view.

Its a nice Castle but not that unique. However, the view from up there and its surroundings are truly beautiful. We climbed up there from the beach (20-25min) but we noticed that there is also a bus stop at the top. Entry fee is cheap, around €3 pp. and there are even discount tickets if you want to visit the nearby Alcazaba as well. We went there on Sunday after 2pm and entry was free for the rest of the day!

Nice historical landmark to visit. If you walk to the castle from city center that is a long and steep climb up to the top of a hill. You can alternatively take a bus or taxi to top and walk down. The view from top is great. Castle has very nice gardens with old trees inside. Entrance is cheap and there are no lines. The museum inside is very small. However you can spend quite some time in the cafe inside the castle enjoying the gardens and views.

The castle itself was fine, a lot was closed but entrance was cheap. However, if you are not a history aficionado, I recommend to pay the entrance fee to the Alcazaba at the bottom of the mountain and then do the free walk to the castle. The views on the walk to the castle are beautiful and it’s a great way to stretch your legs. If you buy entrance to both attractions, it’s €5.50 a person but a solo entry is €3.50 so not much money is lost if you change your mind either way!

Amazing view in the walking route towards the castle. it is at the peak of the mountain facing the sea. The hike is perfect combination of experiencing beauty and sense of working out. The temperature in February is also perfect for this hike.

Awesome to experience a 1000 yr old castle fortress. There are two site. Bottom one is gorgeous. Top one is amazing too... A bit of a hike up. If you have problems with incline there are buses to take you to... Otherwise, be ready to get your workout on. Well deserved beer and pizza at the top!!!

Well worth the walk up the hill for the views alone. Superb for photography. Around 3 euros to visit but free after 2pm on a Sunday - however it is really busy then so worth paying and coming at a quieter time! Bar at the top is very good.

If you are looking for something different, this is it. This is a blend of rare, classic and stunning stylish cars and the fashion of the era. Many of the cars here I never heard of, companies that went bust, prototypes and early models that were designed for the rich and fabulous. Well worth a visit, the ear wand was great for 2 euro extra. No.7 bus from the center will get you here and the m110 will get you back to the holiday areas of Belamadina. They also do a night visit from 10pm to 11pm which looked great.

What a fantastic exhibition! We're not car enthusiasts in the slightest but decided to go here on a whim (saw it mentioned on a review of the Hop on Hop Off bus tour). The displays are great, great mix of cars and some fashion dresses reflecting the era. Cars are in beautiful condition and each one has a small description plate. Building is deceiving big with a lot to see (casual stroll and photos took us about an hour). I'm so glad we visited, I highly recommend visiting.

A very interesting concept showing cars with fashion set in a spacious environment filled with natural light. A story goes with each car and fashion piece for context and background. A limited range of cars but still interesting. An afternoon suited to me and my wife 👍

Lovely museum overall! Has quite the variety of cars, ranging between the early 1900 to the 1980, the majority being between 1900-1950. There is an audio guide available. Overall fun! And some very cool historical pieces can be foumd there!

what a beautiful place ❤️❤️ there are so many nice cars with so many moda 👌👌 we loved it.. it is quite big place so if you want to stay more and take photos better be there earlier everything was so nice we went for weekend afternoon and there were no so many people one adult & for 12 year old child we paid 16 euro here it says 5euro for children but i paid 6euro not in the center but from center you can take the bus number 7 and you will just get off in front of the museum Easy access as well

We visited as a family and it was very reasonably priced to get in. I must admit, I didn’t think it was really my thing, even I really enjoyed it. They have a great collection of cars and there’s not too much reading the signs also. They’re in English as well as Spanish. 10/10 we spent about 60/90 mins here. What a lovely place.

Awesome! It was a pleasure fory eyes and my mind. Very stylish decorations and interesting exposition. I spent there almost two hours because it was interesting to read the history and explanations. There were two bathrooms and places to sit. In the main hall there were a souvenir shop with nice things to buy.

I am a fan off vintage cars, I mean I don't know much about car but I just love and enjoy watching the way how they look like back in the old days. It is very worthy to visit if you are a fan of old cars!! They are presented nicely and each one has its own description. It was really satisfying to look at them 🚘

This museum is well worth your time. We paid extra to take a tour in the Aston Martin. WORTH EVERY PENNY!!! Ricardo was excellent to drive with. Kind of jealous of Ricardo—he has a great job and does it well. The clothing on the mannequins matches the time period of each car and there are small pockets of other clothing and engines displayed throughout the museum. This experience was, by far, our favorite of Malaga.

Such a fantastic place! The brightest impression that I have got in Malaga. I adored the exhibition, it is splendid! I tried to read each description of cars and outfits to dive deeper into their history, it's brief but informative. I highly recommend this place! You utterly will not regret :)

Listen. If you go to malaga. YOU HAVE TO VISIT THIS PLACE. Especially if your a car guy. There are so many classic cars. From an Aston Martin db4, a buggati type 57 and a Mercedes 300sl gull-wing worth 1.5million euro. I've never been so excited and amazed by a museum.

If you're a car lover this is the place for you. Each car comes with a piece of history in the form of a plaque next to each car. The cars are well maintained from an aesthetic perspectivr even those from the 20's or 40's.

Fantastic experience all around. Me and my girlfriend visited and paid only 6€/pp since we are university students. There is a lot to see here a ton of cool cars and fashion from the same era. Staff is super friendly and welcoming also you can read about every car from the plaque. They have it in spanish and in english. If you want there is also an audio tour available for 2€/person more but me and my girlfriend don’t usually like to do those so we opted out. What I like about this place the most is that everything is very clean and organized. Also its such a pleasure to look at beautiful cars in this ligtning that they have. Everything is just so nice

There is an audio guide included. Good toilets. Pleasant coffee/snack vendor outside. Offers on ticket prices if book in advance. An interesting couple of hours.

We were awed by the beautiful cars, dresses, hats, lamps, painted engines, artwork and more. The curves and colors of some cars blew us away. I can't imagine anyone not getting some joyous moments from this collection of vintage and rare items. A bright and spacious building to slowly stroll around. Stop and read the info panels; look up at the art on the walls; picture yourself in wearing the hat or dress in front of you; and of course picture yourself driving that Black Cat! Give yourself at least 2 hours to view the collection. The only flaw to the experience was the underwhelming gift shop - so small, with only a few items for sale. A lost marketing opportunity that should be addressed immediately. Otherwise, a must-see museum in Malaga.

One of the best museums I've visited. The cars and fashion are a fantastic complementing mix. The natural light in the display areas makes this such a pleasant and airy museum. A great collection and well worth the 10€ entry fee. I will visit again. Loved it!

Even though I rushed the visit, I only managed to properly see half of the museum (arrived 2 hours before closing time) ; didn't manage to see the movie cars exhibition at all unfortunately. Not only is the collection of cars and clothes/hats/bags and other objects breathtaking, it's of historic importance. I would spend an entire week in that place if I could 🥹 I do wish there was more space in order to be able to walk all around each car and see from all angles. Would also love more Infos / details about the cars and clothes. Car enthusiasts probably would wish more motors to be exposed and more interiors to be visible. But it's a must for fashion historians and vintage enthusiasts.

I have been to a few Motoring museums before, but, this is the best I have seen. Allow at least 2 hours to view all the cars at your leisure. The fashion element of the presentation was really good too. The whole experience is so cool and sophisticated, a must see in Málaga.

Unexpected gem of a place!! Something for everyone, including highly detailed & exotic fashion exhibits, one off experimental vehicles & Mussolini´s Parade Car! Of note is the Milburn electric vehicle from 1916. It offered a range of 80 km (70 miles) and could run up to 25 kph (15 mph). Otherwise, some fabulous & unusual ICE vehicles, especially the Aston Martin DB4, which I fell in love with ;0 I decided that is such a gentlepersons car compared to the rather tarty E Type :) I enjoyed that hearse as well!! My only criticism is that it would have made a complete experience to have had an educational cut out of an ICE engine & gearbox (preferably moving) to explain how the system works & the 4 stroke cycle, most of these vehicles run on. Maybe next to the pancaked Morris Minor, which explains perfectly that your car is not an indestructable piece of engineering, but a rather vulnerable collection of parts :]

One of the absolute best motor museums I have visited. Such fine vehicles surrounded by matching details from the same era. If you are in Malaga and have any kind of motoring interest, I recommend a visit.

Got to enter for free after 4pm today (Sunday) and saw a beautiful exhibit. Unfortunately, only the permanent exhibit was available for viewing - definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area :)

Of course, as expected after visiting the Madrid branch, a very serious collection of art, well curated and fascinating. A vast collection of Spanish art of Spanish themes, but not only. The main exhibition is 3 floors from the collection, in more or less permanent curations, probably with slight changes. 4th floor has a changing exhibition, currently about Belgian art, was very cute and educational. OK entrance price at 10€, 1h-1,5h enough. Nice shop at the entrance with posters etc. Very much recommend!

A lovely museum with a wide range of Spanish art and more. The staff are kind and the entire facility is quiet and beautifully appointed. It’s centrally located directly off the Plaza de la Constitución with not an overwhelmingly large collection, which is well appreciated among European museums. I, an American, saw some stunning pieces from well-respected Spanish artists who I had never heard of before, which was exciting and special. I found it to be a delightful tribute to Andaluz art and artists. A highly recommended visit while in Málaga !

Went on a weekday so there was not too many people. Just after the entrance there is lockers where you can leave luggage you might not want to carry around with you - it was €1 and after you can take your money back. Visited primary because of the pieces of René Magritte and Paul Delvaux that i found quite intriguing to see in originals. It isn’t a huge museum but the pieces are arranged well to enjoy them.

The event was stunning it was in a beautiful location transporting you to a very stripped back easy to focus Moorish location. The seating and mood were comfortable and the musicians were on top form, the musical acoustics were well thought and performed to the highest quality. I will be returning for more experiences like this in future.

It’s a live museum. The owner lives on the top floor and they still use some plates exhibited in the museum. The guided tour was a nice experience. The guide is very knowledgeable and friendly. I like not only the collection but also the indoor decoration in the small villas. It is the best museum I’ve visited in Malaga.

Excellent museum with a tour available in several languages. The guide was super knowledgeable and the presentation was very engaging. The museum is an absolute gem of a place to visit and, though we knew very little about the history, we left having learnt a lot. Highly recommended.

Worth the visit. Ricardo was the greatest tour guide ever so informative and willing to explain every piece in this wonderful museum. There are around 3000 pieces of glass & crystal from all over the world. Furniture and paintings the architectural of this house was soooooo beautiful. the time spent was around 1 hour and 15 minutes I didn't feel it. It's a tour guided visit, tickets costs 7 euros. I highly Recommend it.

This place is a must-see in Malaga, in my opinion. Museum is located in a beautifully renovated house and contains a solid exposition of many pieces from all over the world. And we had the best guide, Ricardo, who patiently and expertly answered our many questions.

What a wonderful museum. Housed in a beautiful building which was also the owners home. We we're lucky enough to be shown around by the owner himself. His knowledge of glass was excellent and his collection immense. All types of glass from all over the world and of all ages. The tour took about 2 hours in total and was well worth the few euros it cost. Excellent.

Must visit place in Malaga. You can find there not only a wonderful collection of masterpieces made of glass and ceramics, but also many wooden furniture, portraits, pictures, carpets, mirrors and other cute things, combined in a way to give you an impression of an old house. I really love this place and would definitely recommend for a visit. Entrance fee is 7 euro.

Excellent museum, got a tour by the owner. Very knowledgeable, rare pieces, beautiful. Tour took two hours but seemed much shorter as it was so interesting.

Very beautiful, both the glass collection and the house itself. Many rooms are furnished to match the period of glass objects, which enhances the charm of this place. I will never forget the smell of the lemon tree flowers in the garden. Each visitor or group is accompanied by a guide. Highly recommended !

Our tour guide was very enthusiastic and very knowledgeable about every piece in the museum. The museum main collection is glass pieces from around world. Really interesting stuff that you should hear about.

It's a nice little exhibition of glass collected over the years. The setting is also romantic. The tour is guided but a bit too fast for my taste. Calling it a museum is a bit of a stretch.

An enormous amount of collectible crystal, glass, stained glass windows and other items dating back to the 3rd century collected from around the world. It’s a guided tour and the tour guide is extremely knowledgeable, speaks perfect English and eager to share and listen as he goes through the tour. I learned so much. Highly recommend!

Came across it by mistake but it turned out to be my favourite museum in Málaga! Couldn't believe how beautiful and informative it was, on a topic I didn't really know much about before. All the staff were so friendly too.

Nice privately owned collection of glass and crystal articles from a period between 500BC and 20th century, as well as furniture from 18-19th century located in a restored villa from 18th century. The owner and the guide (we were lucky to get on tour with Gonzalo Fernández-Prieto) is the true passionate of glass and the historian and the fountain of stories. You do not come just to a museum, you come to see his collection to his come, so treat it as such. The visiting is possible with a guide only, but each minute of 1,5h tour is worth 7 euro you pay. Museum is accessible.

This hidden gem is such an interesting place to visit. You get a guided tour of this beautiful house and all its magnifecent collection of glass, pictures and listen to the wonderful history behind each piece. If you,re lucky the owner himself may take you round he is a remarkable, charasmatic man with such enthusiasm for every piece in his collection.. the collection is forever changing so no 2 visits are the same. We love it here. Thank you Señor Gonzalo for letting people enjoy you lovely home.

Beautiful collection of glass from throughout the centuries. Some items were truly remarkable and extremely rare. The tour guides were very professional, fun and brought the experience to life. Well recommended and best time to visit is at 11am when it opens. As we went in 'off peak' holiday time, we went straight in.

Hands down , best museum in Malaga. I was lucky to join a free excursion that was done by the owner of the house & crystal collection. What a treat! 2 hours of incredible stories about glass , laughing and enjoying art and this beautiful welcoming house. A must visit for everyone who is in Malaga.

Recommended to me by a local friend, the Museo del Vidrio y Cristal is a real hidden gem in Málaga Centro. The extensive glass and crystal collection is tastefully displayed in the owner’s beautiful home. The pieces are organized by time period, and the areas they occupy are decorated in a theme to match. Entry is by guided tour only, and my guide was extremely knowledgeable, pleasant and handled all questions with expertise. I am extremely grateful that the owner has made this vast collection available for public view - THANK YOU!

First time I visited such a place. Definitely must see if you can't to try food from Spain. It's divided in 2 sections: seafood and fruit/veg. Both sections are amazing, all is fresh. Outside the building you can try traditional food:I would advice to eat on the exit as it's not so close to the road and people are more customer oriented then in the entrance

Lovely market with eating places. Good value local produce. You can eat standing or sitting. Some brilliant smoothie bars. Fresh meat,fish,fruit

Certainly one of the best Markets we've experienced out of many around the Mediterranean. You'd fill a suitcase and pay the Ryanair penalty with pleasure. Get a corner of a fish bar, order a vermouth or Cava and start the afternoon at 12:00

What a beautiful market with lots of history. We love the preserved wall on one side and the stained glass on the other. Some vendors were very kind and friendly. So we shopped with them. We are amazed at the vegetables and fruits, the variety and freshness. Everything tasted great! We got strawberries, plums, peaches, and grapes. We highly recommend. The fresh seafood was okay, the price was a bit high. We have been in other port cities so this wasn’t as impressive or affordable. We enjoyed getting meatballs and sausages from one of the vendors in the meat section that has a sign that says “We speak English”. He also has a map where he pins where all his customers come from. We were more than happy to have him pin his first pin in Senegal!

Four stars after the first visit. I tried imported pineapple, and it was not incredible. So next time I'm going for a local specity. Otherwise the market is well organised and clean and it has all the fresh food you are looking for. It's great that the meat section is divided from the fresh fruits and veggies, but probably you will smell fish anyway. After the second visit I'm giving 5 stars. You can find here people who try to use the knowledge that you are new here to sell you something not worthwhile, but if you look around carefully you find great food to buy.

Had lunch outside - fresh delicious seafood straight from the market will give you best local flavor. Service is a bit slow though (although that may be a function of the view that while eating you should take your time). Also we kept getting asked by locals for money or food.

Nice place to visit, with freshly cooked food to test. The prices are not cheap, btw lower than a restaurant but the environment is spartan....it’s a market. If you don't want to eat there is nice to visit. You can find a lot of topical Spanish food.

Fun place to visit and experience the local vibe. Highly recommended for folks who want to buy olives, spices, jamon, and other items. And most merchants offer vacuum packaging which makes it easier for air travel. A must visit in old town Malaga.

Fantastic market, enjoy the hustle and bustle and experience all the amazing food here. Particularly the seafood where you can also purchase to eat. Locals come here so you know it’s genuine and not just a tourist trap

Great place, where you can finds lots of fresh, really good fruits and vegetables and seafood (although that wasn’t interesting me a lot, since I’m vegetarian) Also you can order juice/cafe here. Venders are kind and helpful. Prices are good and products good quality. I recommend visit this place.

A great way to spend a couple of hours. Filled with amazing food vendors from fresh fish to spices. We ate at a food stall. Very reasonable and freshly cooked.

We visited this place both in the morning and afternoon and gave very different positive experiences. The place has a huge range of food: meat, fish, fruit and a little bit of pastries. We truly enjoyed the afternoon with fried squid, green peppers and a glass of sangria. Worth to know- The food area closes at 15h, but you can enjoy some tapas and drinks till 17h.

Good central market for residents or tourists staying in the Historic Central quarter. Fish, seafood, meat, fresh vegetables and fruits...are easily available here. There are also a few seafood bars inside. A must for visitors.

Nice authentic atmosphere. Multiple stands selling similar items, so the place is actually smaller than you'd think. During my stay the following item were available from the market: fresh fish, meat, cheese, juice, fruit and vegetables, nuts and dried fruit. You can have a bite to eat here too, but prices are a bit high. Went back several times for freshly made juices.

Relatively large market with stalls selling produce and also food. Very busy during the early afternoon on a saturday. We bought some fruit from a stall but please make sure they charge you the correct amount!

I love this market. Amazing. You can buy there everything super fresh, veg, fruit, fish. There are restaurant there. We try seafood paella for 8e only, it was best paella ever, we were come back there as it was so good. Totally recommended. If you in Malaga you need to go there. 5 stars

This place makes me happy! One of the absolute best markets we've been to in Europe! Phenomenal for its size. Can't over the quality of the goods in this market. Friendly and helpful vendors. Closed Sundays.

Five out of five for this place. Here you will find everything you could dream of having in the kitchen to prepare a meal. Seafood, vegetables, fruits, meats, spices, wild mushrooms, etc. Colors and flavors in beautiful presentations. Just walking inside will give you great satisfaction from visiting this place. Definitely worth a visit. Beautiful stain glass front, hundreds of grocery, meat, fish stalls and counters to order food to eat outside. Prices extremely reasonable.

Wonderful place. Always fresh meats, fish and produce at very reasonable prices. Best of all is that you can grab a bite and beer right there after you finish your weekly shopping. I love it.

Loved the products, especially the olives ! The selection is a bit repetitive tho, lots of fruits and veggies. But I like the ambiance. As a vegan, I liked that the meat section was mostly on an other side and I didn’t have to go through dead corpses. Could be nice to be able to have vegan options to eat on the spot.

Really nice market, split in three areas, one for fruit and vegetables, one for fish and seafood, one for meats. Everything looks really fresh and enriching. Good variety and the prices are quite normal. You can have a bite (or more ...) with a beer or wine and the prices are ok. There's also outside seating to have a more proper lunch. Overall recommended - the building is quite nice too.

One of my favourite things to do when I’m in another country is to visit their local markets, which are full of surprises like local food, veggies and fruits. The market of Malaga is fabulous- it has a big building and a stained glass with a uniquely beautiful picture on it. There are various local products like salami, cheese, fruits, vegetables and of course fresh sea food. Definitely worth visiting!

Playa La Malagueta in Malaga is a true gem along the Costa del Sol, offering visitors a picturesque setting to unwind and soak in the beauty of the Mediterranean coast. My experience at this beach was nothing short of delightful. Upon arriving at Playa La Malagueta, I was immediately struck by the pristine cleanliness of the beach. The golden sands stretched out before me, inviting me to kick off my shoes and take a leisurely stroll along the shore. The water was crystal clear, perfect for a refreshing swim or simply dipping my toes in to cool off. One of the highlights of my visit was watching the sunset from Playa La Malagueta. As the sky painted hues of orange and pink across the horizon, I couldn't help but feel a sense of wonder and awe. It was the perfect backdrop for sipping a glass of wine and reflecting on the beauty of the moment.

Amazing beach in Malaga city, 10 minutes by walk from city center. Beach is beautiful, clean, you can find free shower and toilet, plenty of beach bars and restaurants for good price and of coarse sun beds and umbrellas for great price ( we have paid just 10 euro for 2 sun beds and 1 umbrella for day ) water is not so warm about 23 degrees and until 13.00 very clean, after become little dirty from people and boats. Beach mostly are with sand and very small stones! So we enjoy it so much and definitely recommend!

Nice, spacious and mostly clean beach (for August). Depending on how close you are to the port, the water changes it clearness and cleanness. Its temperature also varies from 16°C to 27°C depending on areas. Parasols/lounges are 10€ at most places (remember to bring cash). Sand is nice, not the finest but soft enough for my taste. Would go back!

Busy and clean beach. Can't give it 5 stars as it is beach in the busy city. Other than that, it's a nice place to stay and enjoy sunny weather.

Lovely beach, close enough to the city shops, and also super markets close enough by to grab beers & snacks. The sand itself is not good enough to build sand castles in, which did leave me slightly disappointed. Overall though great beach, would have given 5 stars had it not been for the non sand castley sand.

Beatiful beach lining the city. There many grass spots with palms where you can sit and enjoy the views.

I will give minus 10 stars, but it is not possible on Google .The amount of mes and dirt cigarette buts bear caps and pieces of glass on the sand was appalling. No beach in the world should be like this .Even the beach bed was dirty and dusty. I didn't expect that in a tourist hot spot

Very beautiful beach with beautiful places nearby. In August the water is very warm even at night. Beautiful views. I will definitely come back here again.

Good place for a long and relaxing walk by the seaside. I visited Malagueta in December, and a few restaurants were open along the beach.

Good chill vibes at this beach. A little dusty from the sand (can’t explain, but never seen this before). Pebble beach with brown sand. Quite busy, lots of people. Chairs and umbrella rental is available. Plenty of bars close by for drinks and seafood.

Very beautiful beach located 5-10 minutes walk from Malaga Centre. It is very clean and well maintained. Lots of restaurants, cafes and nearby facilities available for use. Very spacious area too, good place to jog and do exercise. Plenty seating area available and small kiosks for drinks etc.

I like this beach. It's usually easier to get to than the other one I like which is easily about 3km away. I like the grassy areas with the palm trees as I don't really like sand. It's nice to walk along side the beach too and you can walk a very long distance. There are toilet and showers near. Some parts of the beach you can rent sunloungers under parasols. There's usually little kiosks nearby for ice creams, snacks, drinks etc. Some areas of the beach also have beach side resturants. The only downsides to the beach (which I think is typical for most beaches) are the people wandering up and down trying to sell you things. (Tip, headphones in, sunglasses on and pretend to be asleep). There was a guy trying to sell beach towels despite being able to see I am actually on a towel. But there's also a guy selling cold drinks which is good for when you are feeling thirsty but too lazy to move, and a couple of ladies go round offering massages which I've had a couple of and they're not bad but they will try and sell you more massages. The other downside is the litter, usually lots of cigarette ends, bottle caps, empty tins / bottles despite being plenty of bins around (i guess the drinking at night as its mainly beer bottles). There is a crew that cleans up some of the beach but they really can't get everything. But if you have a towel then it's not too bad, and every beach has a degree of litter.

For a city beach, this is a great one - just minutes away from the city center. I has plenty of amenities- little cafes, playground for children, green area shaded by the palm trees and chezlongs with umbrellas. The toilets are free of charge and in the afternoon can get really dirty; the chezlongs are quite pricey - 12 EUR, and this was in january!!! The beach itself is pretty clean and if you take a stroll you can reach the port with plenty of cafes and shops.

Best botanical garden I’ve visited in my life. Entrance is cheap, around 5 normal fee and 3,70 for students. There are a some different areas; a dry desert-like area, a jungle area, forest and flower area. It’s really big and we spent more than 2 hours inside. You can spot many types of birds, lizards, squirrels and we even saw a chameleon. There’s a nice terrace for a little picknick or something to drink.

I liked that they have wheelchair accessible Toilets. Some roads are accessible, most i would say not. I saw a couple with a pram, so also possible. Beautiful flowers especially the hibiscus. Nice view. Recommend going here.

Beautiful, and very big, garden! So many lovely flowers, plants and ponds to see. There are many places to sit and rest. Quite a few hills and uneven pathways, so be mindful if you are not fully able to walk. Entrance fee is very cheap, and kids enter for free. There's a small bar/café that serves great sandwiches and other small dishes and cold drinks. Great place to visit! A must if you're in the area.

The place is gorgeous and the diversity of the vegetation beautiful. It's also a great way to spend 2 to 3h walking around and being in a fresh place. You can also take a good break to refresh yourself at the kiosks where you'll find snacks and drinks (hot and fresh).

A very beautiful botanical garden in my opinion. I had much joy walking around and discovering the different areas. There is a flower garden, a cactus garden, a tree walk, several ponds, a bamboo forest and a citrus area. Its super pretty, I felt like walking through different areas of the world. Can recommend!

Gorgeous garden, super worth it! Took a taxi there, it cost €10 from the city center, easy to split it. The restaurant had best food, a perfect finish to an amazing day.

Wife and I spent several hours here, arriving about 10:30. Beautiful gardens, lots of walking, mostly easy. I was wearing Crocs, the Mrs trainers. The lunch was excellent value for money and the staff very helpful. It was very hot, despite there being some thin cloud cover, so the walking through tree-shaded areas gave a welcome relief. Lots of photo opportunities, I've posted a small sample. Highly recommended.

Amazing experience. We've got some relax surrounded by plants and trees from all over the world. Despite it was such a hot day the vegetation gave a memorable relief. Bumped into some nice animals like squirrels and frogs. Highly recommended

A great place to wander around. I enjoyed it so much that I went a second time. It's easy enough to get there on public transport. The Green Line tourist bus operates from 11.00am, fare €1.40 each way.

Being a fan of botanical gardens and nature, I thoroughly enjoyed this particular garden. We were fortunate to enter for free during certain hours, from 2-5 pm on some days. Exploring a botanical garden teeming with lush greenery is a unique experience in winter. I can envision the garden's distinct beauty in spring, summer, and autumn. The abundance of tropical plants adds to its allure. Yet, my personal highlight remains the winter honeysuckle, with its delightful and invigorating fragrance that brightens up my day. I highly recommend it to fellow nature enthusiasts.

Lovely place to visit on a hot day. The gardens have lots of shade and a great climate to walk around. It is very reasonably priced and because it covers such a large area, you don't feel on top of other visitors. A great escape from the craziness of central Malaga.

Great gateway outside of the city into the greenery. I've visited the place on Sunday after 2 pm so the entrance was free. I enjoyed the garden. If you want to explore all the paths, it takes you around 1-2 hours. It's just a shame that it is right away a highway. It was quite noisy all the time, but I enjoyed the flowers, trees,and paths.

We visited this garden a few days ago, we got here by walking, which I do not recommend it’s about an hour walk from the city centre. The gardens are quite large Nd there’s lots to see, I recommend you bring lunch or snacks so you can have a picnic. There are many beautiful areas on this complex, there’s an old colonial home at the top which is quite nice to look at. There’s the lookout with the dome which is stunning and must be even gorgeous during the summer. Only two downside to this beautiful garden, first is that is quite far off the city centre and the tourist attractions. Like opposite direction, so you have to take a bus or a cab to get there. Second, is that is right off the highway, so there’s a lot of sound pollution which takes away from the beautiful serenity botanical gardens bring.

Nice tropical gardens you can walk through in less than two hours. Great views at the top if you're willing to climb the relatively steep hills.

This botanic garden is really beautiful. It offers so much. A forest of exotic plants, a more dry area, water spots, arts and much more. The forest full of shadow is a perfect place for a hot summer day.

Beautiful, calm place, not crowded, loads of beautiful, different plant species. A lot of nice walking paths and water basins with sculptures. Well worth visiting! Much cooler so if you feel too hot, there are parts that offer lovely shade from the sun. They even have coffee shop with vegan options!

Went to see the Angélical light show. The garden at night with the lights was great, and there was good instructions where to go next. There were couple of places, with lights above and couch in the middle, where you could take picture of yourself in the middle. There were few places where you could buy snacks and something to drink - this is nice especially if you have kids with you. Not sure if it's worth the cost of 15 euros - 10 would be more accurate. It would be great to see the garden during the day time, in summer season.

It’s nice, but it wouldn’t be worth it for me to pay the entrance (we went on Sunday when it’s for free). Most of the flowers didn’t blossom yet in this part of the year (end of March) so it wasn’t that interesting for me, but if you’re a tree and plant lover, you will probably like it. Maybe visiting in late spring/summer would be better

Really lovely and relaxing gardens, so much to see. Just a quick note that the cafe was destroyed by fire recently so there's only the gift shop to buy food and it's very limited. Lots of lovely picnic spots within the gardens so best to take a packed lunch.

Really lovely gardens approx 8km from Malaga old town. We got a taxi there (but it's easy to get a bus, apparently). We walked back. Lots of unusual trees from all over the world, exotic plants, nice hard landscaping, and feature buildings. Good views and a nice oasis of plants, flowers, and birds if you're missing a but of nature while staying in malaga. I would love to revisit when the wisteria is in flower and the lily pads are there.

Nice, diverse gardens. There are no clear signs for directions, but trying to navigate using the numbers on the small paper map they give you makes for an interesting treasure hunt. You can easily spend 4 hours here

Well, we expected a bit more. We liked the orange and lemon trees. And the café next to the entrance :-). If you like cacti, this is the place to be. It was dry and a bit dusty (in February). We expected a nice view of Malaga, but the view was mainly of the motorways around the city. It seems that the garden lacks funds for better maintenance and development. The ticket office at the entrance was closed and you are supposed to buy tickets from the automatic machine, probably bought to reduce staff costs. It was probably not very intuitive, so there was a guy helping visitors to press the right menu on the display. In the end we did it, the menu was in English and the payment with my mobile phone was quick and easy.

Amazing Park, we got there as it opened and it was so peaceful. Make sure you ask for a map, they don’t hand them, you have to ask. It’s real cheap as well £2.50pp for a good 3 hours walks.

It's a nice place to stop by. I've seen people here have a break, maybe grab a snack and enjoy the sun. You don't have to pay to visit just the Roman Theatre and you can see the entire square in front.

It's always nice to witness a piece of history. It doesn't take long to visit, it is free. Looks simple but take the time to picture what was happening in the space.

This was a cool little castle. We suggest skipping the right side at the T and going left. It had better views and all the interesting stuff. Unfortunately they didn’t offer English live tours when we visited and the audio guide was just really dry and hard to keep our attention. I think of you can get a live tour it would be best. This place is definitely worth visiting if you’re in the area, but I wouldn’t make a special trip specifically for this.

It's a nice place in Centro historico of Malaga. Right next to the fortress. Small but from the top you'll get a nice view to the city centre

You get to witness history for free! There is a small museum next to the theatre itself, wich contains interesting a exposition. Really great place! I liked it a lot more than the Alcazaba! I recommend paying it a visit!

Fun to imagine what plays might have taken place hundreds of years ago. Near the entrance to the castle so a good place to start.

Ruins of an ancient Roman amphitheater. If you go deeper on the left side - there is a gate. You can go inside and sit on the steps. To be honest, I wasn't very impressed. Perhaps because I have already seen enough of such amphitheaters. To the right is the entrance to the Alcazar fortress. And if you go around it even more to the left, you will find the way to the fortress of Gibraalfaro

This theatre was built by the Romans and you can pay to enter for a closer look and a tour. However, I got a pretty good view just walking by without tickets.

This is an amazing place if you like Roman history. It's difficult to imagine the energy required for construction! If you have difficulty climbing or descending stairs, do not climb stairs to upper level. There are no elevators or hold rails. The lower levels are accessible and still provide an amazing experience.

Nice place and free to visit. You can easily find it right in the center of Malaga.

Well done and worth a 30 minute visit. The moorish fort overlooking is even more impressive.

The history of the theater dates back to the 1st century before and the times of Emperor Augustus. It was used until the 3rd century AD and when the Moors came, it was regularly dismantled and used to build the Alcazaba fortless. So many centuries and we can still step on the stones and admire what remains. Still fascinating.

This is a tiny theatre, but very well kept. Its restored and there is still some minor excavations now and then. The amphitheatre is quite underwhelming if you expect a Colusseum, so adjust your expectations. Free to enter and a complete walkthrough will take 10 minutes. Advicable to take this together with the Alcazaba castle. Last entrance is 17:15.

Good to catch some sun and a breather for free. Comfortable stone seating area to read, chat or just look at the teatro history. It is the perfect weather now in the spring.

No queue, free to entry. There is a little museum before entering the theatre that elxplains a little bit of its history. Relatively fast visit.

Fab landmark of Malaga, great at any time of day or night, beautifully lit up during the night. Most of the finds from the theatre are in Museum of Malaga, or incorporated by the Moors into the walls of Alcazaba.

The temporary exhibit was well-organised, however, the permanent exhibit was not open. It would worth the whole €7 if it was open. I end up spending slightly more than an hour here. The temporary exhibit is about time. Contemporary artwork including paintings, scriptures, photographs, installation art, etc. were used to present how the artists and society thought about the concept of time. Efforts from the curators were seen from the variety of artworks and the organisation of the exhibit. The museum itself is a unique colourful landmark for Málaga.

As with other museums there are some odd things in display. Some are interesting others seem to come from a kindergarten class. Still nice to see. We went on Sunday which are free days!

Centre Pompidou Malaga is an art exhibition centre that features a vibrant coloured cube on top which reflects the sun, and it's quite an exciting sightseeing. However, we went in, and there was security to check our bags, and then we were told to put our things in the lockers, and then we were on our way to investigate the exhibition. I mean, it was okay for what it is, it's modern art, but I felt it was a little bit of a mixed bag, some pieces were interesting to view, and some things i felt were a bit silly, like you had this piece of paper on the wall and it had holes from a pencil, and it's called art? I wouldn't mind if it were free, but it wasn't, and that was frustrating because we walked around and just felt underwhelmed with the experience. Don't get me wrong, it's beautiful from the outside, but I don't think this is somewhere I would go again; it'd be more of a visit once and be done with it.

I visited Thyssen, Picaso and Pompidou on Sunday after 4pm. Most museums in Malaga are free of charge. Gratis.I liked this museum the most among three. Maybe because I like contemporary art. Made me feel and think more. I hope they continue on in this place, not only the temporary existence.

The place is huge and echoes! Lots of space for children to run about screaming and ignore the fascinating exhibitions, mostly aimed at educating younger folk. Nice little bird of pray feeding and info display around midday. There was a food sustainability exhibition, showing how attitudes to food waste and meat consumption etc, need to change. Then we visited the refectory, stocked with preprepared plastic wrapped sandwiches and salad or pasta bowls, none of which were vegetarian.🤷
