Impressive Basilica with some amazing history. Would recommend reading about it before you go, so you know what you are seeing. I liked the fact that it was free to visit even though it is a UNESCO world heritage site.

I enjoyed visiting this Basilica. It has a lot of historical significance for being on El Camino, The pilgrimage path to the shrine of St James the Greater in Santiago de Compostela. It is a UNESCO world Heritage site. And the building was absolutely fabulous. Of course it's free to enter as are all Catholic Churches. Very much recommended!

Beautiful church, located on the site of a previous basilica of the 4th century. Constructed in Romanesque style in the 11th/12th centuries it's supposed to be the largest Romanesque building in Europe and it is an UNESCO World Heritage Site on the route to Santiago de Compostela. It is large, beautifully build and certainly worth a visit if you are in the area.

Toulouse is my favourite French city. The atmosphere, romance and love is definitely in the air. This particular cathedral is something out of medieval France where it takes you to another dimension. I sat there for a good hour after a day of walking and exploring the city meditating and it felt amazing. I am hoping to explore the city in the future and definitely will visit this place again.

It is located on the site of an ancient 4th-century basilica that contained the body of Saint Saturninus or Sernin, the first bishop of Toulouse. One of the symbols of Toulouse, this brick and stone basilica is certainly imposing. It has a 21 meter high nave, whose vault is richly carved, it also has a wooden and gold-plated marble canopy, as well as medieval frescoes that are so vivid that they appear to move! Its style is Romanesque.

A world heritage site and wonderful church in the centre of Toulouse. The area around the church has gradually been improved so that it is now a lovely place to sit or stroll. The church itself is magical. Don’t miss the relics under the choir which can be visited for free

One of the most beautiful cathedrals I have ever seen. Absolutely worth it. I was fortunate to be there while there was a wedding and I could hear the church organ in full swing. Lovely experience.

If you love space, you will enjoy here. But be careful: - there are a loooot of kids everywhere, they scream, cut the waiting lines, run, disturbing your contemplation of the space immensity - the technical level is quite low, but it's fun to play some science games, everything is very interactive - unlike the museum, the garden is not even fun: in general it's a big playground for kids, and in particular the mir station has so many scretches on glasses that its almost impossible to watch inside, and the three accessible rooms terribly smell of fake

Could spend the whole day here easily, three floors and garden full of exhibits and fun interactive games along the way (even for 20 year olds!). We enjoyed both the Asteroids Hunter IMAX, which was in 3D surprisingly, and the planetarium show, as they had English audio. Very quiet on the Friday too. 👍🏼

Nice concept, very bad implementation. Half of the attractions are not on cuz of Covid. Huge cues everywhere. You can buy water only at the cafeteria (we asked at the restaurant but they send us to the cafeteria) which has 5 people behind the counter but only one cashier working…waited 20min for a bottle of water. Maybe vending machines? With a bit of better organization it could be very nice. Definitely overpriced the way it is.

We visited here on Saturday and were really impressed! So, so much to see, and really interesting! The weather when we visited made our visit even more perfect whilst viewing the outside areas. We loved that you could go inside some of the exhibits, and also the interactive features inside the main building. We went to the on-site restaurant for lunch, which was beautiful and really well priced. Well worth a visit 😊

A truly amazing space museum 😜 suitable for all ages. Inside you will find the history of the moon landing, Mars exploration and much more, with lots of interactive games so you can also understand the physics behind it. In addition, there is a section dedicated to atmospheric measurements. Outside the large park, as well as restaurants and bars, there are the various launchers, with faithful reproductions that can also be visited inside. At the end of the park is a reproduction of the Ariane. Last but not least, the cinema: I highly recommend the 2 shows (one where a stellarium is reproduced with an explanation of our solar system, and another show in 3D of a simulation of an asteroid hitting the earth). Arm yourself with patience for parking: it is free, but it takes a while to find parking on holidays.

Don’t even know how to describe this. The place is great of course with all manner of spacecraft and IMAX movies. However, a garbage man on a cart almost mowed down my 6-year old. Then he proceeded to laugh at him and my wife and then said several expletives in French and told her to go back home.

Great place, there were astronauts and scientists for free. And a very good place for children

Science can not get more international than space travel. Naturally, you’d think that everything at this site would be available at least in 2 languages. Unfortunately, that’s not the case since quite a few places can only be visited during live shows that are French only. Also, multiple exhibitions are closed at the moment (Pollux & Castor, the MIR Capsule, Build your own rocket), the entry fee did not decrease nonetheless. Still, you can learn a lot and marvel at the features of human engineering, the IMAX is also really nice.

very cute, for adults and especially for children, it combines fun, curiosity and lots of interesting information all in one. the lunar landing in the planetarium is very funny. It is recommended to spend a whole day there so as not to miss any of the shows and games.

This place is very interesting! I would recommend to go in the morning as we reached there late and we lost lots of shows, overall a nice experience especially the lunar expedition which was an unexpected surprise. I would definitely recommend it.

This place made our day!🤩 So worth the ticket purchased. We went right after the opening and somehow managed to complete everything.. We kept priority to the shows. Only downside is there is just too much information there, so try to take occasional breaks by going to shows or having short breaks. Its fun and educative.. especially for kids. This place is a celebration of space travel and exploration, and it is a museum that offers an entertaining as well as educational approach to the topic of space. It is fun for kids and adults alike, there is something for everyone here, and the IMAX and planetarium showings in particular are really cool. There are both indoor as well as outdoor sections with lots of stuff to explore, so be sure to pay attention to the weather forecast before you go so you can bring appropriate clothing. You can easily spend a full day here, so bring snacks and water for your breaks. There are 3 restaurants and also food trucks here, but the queues are long!

It's your getaway to space, the place isn't as big as I expected it to be but there are plenty of attractions for grown-ups and kids alike. I enjoyed the IMAX show, the planetarium was a bit boring, it was too slow for my liking. Reducing a star because of the exorbitantly high entry fee. If you understand French, there are activities for an entire day but otherwise there are some shows available in French and Spanish which can be finished in half a day.

This serene garden tucked away in the busy streets of Toulouse. We have been in this area a few times but we were delighted to discovered this place today. It’s zen like and will give you some peace away from the main streets. It’s just adjacent to the main park. Lots of benches to sit and ponder about nothing , everything or anything.

Very educational and great depiction of the standard Japanese Gardens. I frequently go to Japan with my family and this site brings back good memories. Main difference is that in Japan, the waters are clear and not greenish like the pictures I've sent

Beautiful and relaxing garden in the heart of Toulouse, tucked away from the busy roads. There are benches and wooden houses to sit and rest or read a book. Nice place to hangout and relax.

Actually it's only a park with a small part designed in Japanese style, nothing more. However the entrance is free which compensate a little bit the disappointment. 15 minutes take to circle around the garden.

A good representation of a Japanese garden although the build quality of features like the bridge are not entirely in keeping, but that's being quite nit picking. Although fairly busy it was still possible to find a tranquil spot to contemplate.

It's such a super beautiful and lovely place you have to visit in Toulouse. I was there in the automn. I think this place is so beautiful and you can see different colors in each season. There was amazing silence there, in the middle of the busy city area you can find there and keep calm.

It's nice to visit this place, you can relax and enjoy the nice view and children will differently enjoy playing on the playground. It sad that "Japanese Garden is under renovation, so we didn't see inside, but next time we visit hopefully it's open, and for sure we will go back to visit this place in Toulouse.

I visited here for the first time on February 19th 2023 and several spots were under the constructions including a pond by a small red bridge so I didn’t take much pictures because it wasn’t pretty with all the construction background😢 But it should be done by now according to the notice they posted. If you’re already living in or around Toulouse, it’s a peaceful and nice park to visit which also has a restaurant(‘Barricot’/they operate it as a cafe as well during weekdays) just next to the park. However if you’re a traveller for only one or two days, I wouldn’t recommend this place. It’s a good one but not a best place to go. Like all gardens, it must be prettier when the weather is warm. Personally, I would visit here for next spring again.

Inside Compass-Caffarelli gardens, there is a small but beautiful Japanese garden. In good style, uses the water, rocks, etc to represent nature: the lakes, seas, mountains, etc. The control and love of nature in equal measure to use simplicity to create beauty. Less than 20 mins walk from the Capitole. I must see if you are in the area.

The actual Japanese garden is a rather small part of the gardens. It is however very nice and well maintained, quite picturesque. You need perhaps 15 mins to see everything there.

Is a place that must be definitely visited in Toulouse. Everything is done accordingly to the laws of making Japanese gardens. Calm spot in the middle of the town. Everything is very tidy..here you can rest and calm your mind.

Not a big ad some Japanese gardens I've been to, but tranquil and pleasant to stroll through. Had a cool traditional home/ structure by the pond with informative signs reusing Japanese culture and esthetics. Very well maintained. Just outside, there're several kids playground for range of ages, as well as a patio Cafe bar with drinks and snacks.

Living here in Toulouse for almost two years but never visited even once. Last week, I got off from Compans Caffarelli station. It was less than five minutes walk and decided to go in this park. It was small park but really breathtaking. It was sunny day so I even appreciated the place. It brings me back to Japan at that moment. I will come visit again with my family.

Really pretty, the Japanese gardens are relatively small but they are located inside a park so you can walk around. It’s free to entry, very well maintained (clean and the plants look amazing), overall a really calm space to relax a bit.

The idea of creating a corner of Japan inside the park is very nice. very suggestive and well kept unlike the park which seems a little abandoned. the Japanese garden is not accessible to everyone due to the stairs and small paths on the rocks

The gardens were free to enter. Well maintained, pretty raked garden and Japanese style bridge over water with koi and lots of interesting shaped trees and equally interesting artwork. There is a small cafe and public toilet facilities behind the cafe. Also a children’s play park with various things like massive climbing rope frame.

The chapel and cloisters are beautiful, and the panels are informative and well thought out. The pineapple ceiling is truly an impressive piece of engineering. However, the highlight of the visit was the temporary exhibit about the opera of Toulouse, which was really quite extraordinary. The sheer number of exhibits in that one room was almost overwhelming. Would highly recommend for anyone who enjoys the theatre!

A magnificent couvent, but my favorite is the garden. It brings harmony to the whole architecture. The garden in the middle of the couvent creates a peaceful and serene setting. EXTREMELY RECOMMENDED

Loved that place. The couvent itself was amazing with the sun reflecting throughout the windows, giving a mystic atmosphere. But my favorite part was the cloister! Beautiful and so peaceful place. I even managed a little power nap on the long chairs provided. The exhibition on Capitole opera was amazing! Highly recommend it! 👌

A deeply moving experience. After reading much of the writings of Saint Thomas Aquinas, I was delighted to see his reliquary in the main altar of the church. The apse of the church is a glorious rainbow of colors bathing the main altar. Be sure to visit the cloister adjoining the church. A very beautiful and peaceful setting. You can imagine the monks walking through in deep contemplation.

The rather austere brick façade of this church in a former convent conceals a magnificent and lofty interior with slender columns that sustain palm-like vaults. The last one, near the apses, is particularly spectacular. A must-visit if you think you could admire Medieval Gothic architecture. Admission is free.

Love the gotic church a lot. Never had been in such structure, only the traditional one, three or five alleys bit never on two. The space is awesome from the interior or its presence on the exterior. What is making me think is the almost lgbtq+ art installation inside. Oh you have the remains of St Thomas Aquino inside. Pretty awesome.

It's worth a visit. Entrance to the temple is free, but for €5 per person you can visit the courtyard of the monastery and an exhibition about the opera housed in the same place.

Absolutely loved this place. The sun was shining through the stained glass and looked amazing. The palm vaulting is fascinating. Worth paying to go into the cloisters. We were lucky because a pianist was practising for a recital and the music really enhanced our visit.

Impressive Jacobin church with serene atmosphere. Free to enter, with boards around providing information in French, English and Spanish. The stain glass windows look great. You can pay €5 to go into the cloister area, which includes beach chairs to sit on. Well worth a visit to the church, even if you don't go into the cloister.

Went to see and hear Le Dialogue des Carmélites. No overdubbing so very difficult to understand the Dialogue indeed. No compensation offered. The only consolation was a better seat. A special star to Mr Herrero who tried as best as he could to save the day. I'm hoping to receive an email with some kind of compensation in the near future

Stunning theatre. Today's performance of Rusalka was epic. The building has excellent acoustics and if all the performances are as good as this, I'd be there every week if I lived here.

Kader Belarbi is a genius. Just watched the ballet Don Quichotte. Beyond beautiful. Must go to opera house if you are anywhere near Toulouse. Been standing there for hundreds of years. God I love historic places. And art.

Musically good (if somewhat visually unimaginative) performance of Mozart's Figaro, BUT the seats are the most uncomfortable I've experienced in any theatre anywhere. To the point that the constant shuffling of uncomfortable people becomes a distraction.

There is no word to explain my feeling. Everything good w their staff. When you enter you welcome with the smile faces all around you. Ils sont gentils! Thanks to all!

Really enjoy the shows at the Opera. Today was a mélange of three ballet performances. The seating and floor and wall finishes need some TLC as it is starting to show serious wear and tear! This is Toulouse's jewel and the Mairie and Metropole should take care of it! It would be really nice if they offered finger food and a proper selection of non-alcoholic drinks in the intermissions, instead of just champagne. And in addition to coffee maybe some hot chocolate in the same espresso cups for the younger ones !

Toulouse is always a pleasure to visit and the theatre is a truly entertaining and enjoyable reason to spend time in this beautiful city.

Looking great, even though a bit cheap, as all the used materials are fake, but I guess it's usual. Many shows, ballet etc.

The performances are always top quality and wide in range. I've thoroughly enjoyed the concerts and operas I've seen here. I also appreciate the subtitling. It makes it much more accessible.

The theatre is well managed with many staff to guide the guests.

The museum is located in an old convent and it's a very beautiful gothic architectural gem. The collection is also beautiful with paintings and sculptures from the middle ages, a small collection but worth seeing The cafe in the ethrium middle of the building is also a plus. The museum is free and there was no waiting time.

The location itself and the cloister are just amazing. Such a shame the museum with its permanent collection is currently closed for construction. But the ongoing temporary exhibition is very nice and interesting.

One of the places my son and I have enjoyed very much. He even took a power nap there and I take the opportunity to tank one more time to the very kind lady at the entrance of the light room, for letting him sleep on her chair. This is an old convent transformed in a museum with a beautiful patio garden with heavenly smelling roses and other beautiful plants that give these place a short of calmness and tranquility that you could only find in a church environment. On the other hand all the sculptures and artworks around compliment the settlement very well and the way the artwork is exposed, displayed is just fab. Loved it! 🙏

A place you can not miss if you visit Toulouse. Not expensive and full of art. You can rest and take some sun in the garden inside. Staff is not nice, they look like they hate working there but after that you will have a blast inside.

I paid 6 euro just to see one floor. The museum is two floors but the second one was closed!! The museum itself is nice but i don't think it was worth the money. There was a temporary exhibition when i went there so i have managed to see more than what i was supposed to. But still didn't satisfy me.

Visiting Pont Neuf was a truly delightful experience. An enchanting bridge with unique captivating charm. The views of the Garonne river are quite stunning. It looks even more beautiful at night as the bridge illuminates the city creating a romantic atmosphere. There's an area under the bridge where you can gather with friends & hang out by the water. An absolute must-visit while in Toulouse.

A pretty nice ancient bridge on the Garonne river. From there, you can get a pretty view on the city. It can be easily crossed by bike thanks to dedicated lanes. This makes it easy to include it in you bike trips. A must see.

The best viewing spot for Pont Neuf is at the northern edge of Prairie des Filtres, a popular public park and playground on the left bank of the Garonne. This old bridge was called Pont Neuf (New Bridge) when it replaced Pont de la Daurade, just a few meters downstream. Only one arch of that older bridge is visible and still standing.

All are so beautiful as sky, environment, river, buildings, road, walking street, cycling path, and so on. The bridge and environment around here are so nice. As you can see in pics without making up the image at all. Yeah, this city is so beautiful as the taken pics. People are friendly and helpful with tourists as my experiences. You will love it. Also, I really love transportation in the city, it is so convenient and easy. The 5 stars are from my impressions and immense love in this city. It has no opinion of my desires in revisiting this city once more time. Lol

Best place to relax. Great view of Garonne river and architecture around. One can feel great. Good place to have party with friends.

Every self-respecting city has a beautiful and historically special bridge with this name. Same here. Countless young people gather down by the water in the evening for a picnic. The places for this extend to the next Bridget Saint Pierre. Unfortunately, the Garonne flows so little here that a disgusting smell spreads in summer due to algae. But the real highlight of the bridge is in a pillar: the devil sees everything.

Amazing place to hangout during evening time.

The "new bridge" which is the oldest in Toulouse :) A fascinating place to just sit and relax. The locals hangout here and balmy summer evenings with a beer , lying on the grass alongside the mighty Garonne in front of you are a magical sight. The ambience of this place is jovial and equally fun for children as well. The boat trip which you must take from here is fun as it takes you along the river.

Bridge offers good views of river and Toulouse. Nice place to walk day or night

I would say this is a 4 star bridge. Not as magnifique as its namesake in Paris, but beautiful views in the day and looks idyllic as the sun sets at night. You are also able to walk along the river side and under the bridge which is a nice addition.

An iconic bridge in Toulouse, and it is still beautiful when it is foggy in the morning. A great morning walk along the river. I will always remember this bridge when I think of the city of Toulouse.

Beautiful bridge that spans the Garonne River in Toulouse. It's the oldest bridge in the city and offers stunning views of the water and the surrounding buildings. The history behind the bridge is also impressive. It is also a great spot for a romantic walk or a peaceful moment alone.

Amazing museum, has 4 permanent expositions and a temporary one. The cost ( with a student discount) was 8€. You can, with the same ticket, also visit a botanical garden with a couple of greenhouses. Recommend especially for people with kids.

Incredibly interesting museum of natural history! Very interactive and fun. If you're in Toulouse definitely visit it because it doesn't take long (1-2h depending on your curiosity )

Very nice museum. It has very different sections from a huge variety of animals to earth plaquettes and science.. Most stuff are only explained in French, thus the 1 point deduction. It also has a nice garden with different types of trees which is nice to walk in.. In general would recmend as it offers good value for money

The permanent exhibit is all in French but very cool display of animals and resources on the planet. The museum has a rotating exhibit that usually is in Spanish and English as well as French. The mummy exhibit I saw was a 10/10. Loves it.

Was nice in December 2012 still the best place to go with the kids, especially during heat waves. For more stars one nice cafe/lunch; and one beautiful botanic garden, small but nice and fresh.

The star rating is not representative of the museum but i had to leave a feedback to mention that you cannot get inside the museum with a back pack if its a bit big or of course any luggage as they do not have a storage to leave your things. It is reasonable due to the valuables inside the museum and the guard was really kind

Loved the collection here. It is a great place to visit for all ages, be it children, mid adults or even older adults. The place has something for everyone. The made up pieces, few originals, everything.. the second floor has the animal stages of life brilliantly displayed. The animals and the categories are something you will have to spend a lot of time into. There is no hurry, the bone sculptures are really well maintained. The price is reasonable, not out of the box. At the end, you'll come out feeling that what you got is worth the money spent.

Pretty good museum. We could highlight the huge collection of insects. Unfortunately apart from the skeletons the animals are reproductions and not taxidermy. Be sure you arrive at the last part of African artifacts with time.

The Muséum de Toulouse is a modern, well structured natural history museum with an adjacent botanical garden. Be aware however, that the descriptions of the exhibits in the permanent exhibition are only in french. There's only one short summary in english and spanish per room. The exhibits range from minerals to stuffed animals. There's also quite a few videos and interactive screens. I would plan around 2 hours for the visit.

A remarkable gallery, rarely crowded. An asrounding collection to find outside a 'major' gallery. A roomful of Bonnards! No less than 5 Cranachs... I could go on. The terrace cafe is a perfect spot for a nice lunch. Being France, the gallery closes for lunch. Just set yourself down, order something tasty, a good rose helps too.... then have a relaxed afternoon browsing some brilliant art. The building alone is pretty stunning, a 16th century merchant's place.

Unfortunately when we got there it was closed.Aparently most if the places are closed on Mondays! but the place itself has a strong vibe if you are to think this has been built and still standing in great condition more then 500 years ago. We would have loved to visit the inside. Maybe next time

We came a couple times and twice for Easter. I just learned pregnancy is a discount with proof. I'm happy my three year old is finally tall enough to ride. But if your kid is short I'd think twice. You can't ride the tea cups or adult pirate ship if your short and no you can't accompany them.

Five star for the rides for kids age 2-8 and good up to about age 11. There are lots of rides for little ones where a parent can go on also. There were enough big rides for our 10 year old for one day. Our feisty youngest nearly three is 95cm tall so we were able to take her on a few of the larger rides as a family which made it perfect for us (proper roller coaster and log flume rides). The park is nicely laid out, easy to get around. In June no real queues. Excellent play areas with climbing nets, zip line etc most aimed at older kids. Downgraded to four stars as the farm area is not great, the animals not too happy :-( Dinosaur walk OK if kids into dinosaurs! Splash Park looks good for summer but was not open early June. Tickets are good value.
