Dinner with team after congres day. 2 had filets de perche this fish filets were baked with a tartare sauce nothing to have a waw feeling. 1 penne ciocarna ( see picture) also no real wow effect missong of spices and 1 spaghetti fruits de mer seems was ok. white swiss wine could be better. The food was delicious and the waiters really helpful to translate to English for us. They even had a English menu. The place was warm and the pizza oven in the heart of the restaurant. It felt like an authentic Italian family business.

The panorama view from the top of the cathedral is amazing. The entrance to the main hall of the cathedral is free. A ticket is needed to visit the south and the north towers. It costs 7CHF and there were no queues. However, prepare for a lot of small stairs to go up! There is no elevator. The view is really amazing, especially to the lake and it is worth the effort.

Very nice cathedral. The nicest parts is the chapel on the right from the entrance and the tower with its own labyrinth of terraces. Each offers a great view of the panorama of Geneve. This is one of places you really don't want to miss when sightseeing, especially if you are walking from the center/Ritz to Patek Philippe's museum. Really worth a time spent. Be careful of opening hours though!

Definitely worth a visit with its stunning internal and external architecture, and great city views from the spire tops. The surrounding old towns narrow, hilly streets are great to walk around with their unique character and atmosphere

Best view of Geneva you'll ever get, and as a nice little bonus, the view is from one of the most modestly beautiful Cathedrals I've ever had the pleasure to be inside. Definitely worth doing the catacombs as well, truly humbling and mind-blowing.

Must visit the north tower panoramic view of Geneva. It is a steep climb of probably 100 steps, but the view at the top is worthwhile! Pay 7chf extra for the ascend inside the church. I also find the side chapel room to be excellent w its beautiful stain glass work. The main church is not particularly impressive in comparison to many European major churches.

Great cathedral! They have tourist guides outside (FREE) that will give you a bit of history about 10-20 minutes. It’s amazing to see the bright stain glass windows and the big organ pipes. It took about 70 years to build and you can see the differences as they build the place. Worth the visit!

Absolutely amazing! We went to the cathedral on a quiet Monday and bought tickets upon arrival to go all the way to the top. The journey up there was definitely worth it as the views were just breathtaking! There are a couple of different levels on the way up to stop and take photos before continuing to the very top so plenty of opportunities to take it all in and enjoy! It wasn’t all that busy either, which was a real benefit. This is a must-do in Geneva - you can’t get sights like this anywhere else in the city!

As an historical monument worth a look but in terms of a cathedral architecture and design I’ve been in much more impressive ones. Free entry of course. Stained glass was interesting to note there was not much in way of saints and figures, which I found surprising. The small chapel near the exit is highlight with painted and decorated ceiling and door way so don’t miss that.

Beautiful cathedral and a must-do viewing tower to see the stunning landscape of Geneva. The stairs to get up are very narrow and steep. It only takes around 3 minutes to climb to the top so not as bad as it seems, and worth it when you get to the top. Reasonable price for a great tourist attraction. Cost around 11 CHF for one adult and one child

Even if you have one day in Geneva, just like me, this is the place you want to visit. It is in old town, and you want to visit the old town as well, so just do it? From here it is just minutes walk to the lake front and there are many restaurants in between, expensive though :)

Visiting the (North) Tower was the highlight for us in Geneva! It's not that heavy going up but the view is amazing! See my pictures for self explanation. We were at lunch time up there and unfortunately the water fountain was turned off. However, at around 13:00(1pm) it was turned on again.

St Pierre Cathedral used to be a Roman Catholic Church converted to Protestant church during reformation. The stained glass windows are stunning. While entry to the cathedral is free, you have to pay some entry fee to get to the tower, from where you get a nice view of Geneva.

An exquisite protestant church in the heart of the old town in Geneva. Worth a visit along with a walking tour of the old town to get a feel of the times gone by! I unfortunately visited on a public holiday, hence the church was closed. Very interesting to walk along the narrow pathways, as i heard of many secret passages as part of the Cathedral and its surrounding architecture!

Visited here a couple of weeks ago and was very impressed. The staff were friendly; and after purchasing some reasonably priced tickets we were able to climb the stairs to get to the top of the cathedral, where we got incredible views of the city and surrounding scenery. There was a very effective 'traffic light' system which kept the rooms nearly empty (allowing you to enjoy the building without large crowds distrupting your experience). There were plenty of rooms and corridors along the top of the Cathedral allowing you to spend a decent amount of time there, and also allowing us to get 360° views from each side of the cathedral of the city/scenery. Definitely worth visiting during your trip in Geneva.

A huge (gothic) cathedral with a view. There some 160 stairs to the top, the staircases are super narrow and operated by traffic lights. You can see the church roof both from inside and outside, you can check the bells too. The towers are definitely worth the visit (for a small fee 5-7chf, paid inside the church).

Beautiful cathedral very well maintenance and with amazing painted glass windows. Free to enter but you need to pay 15€ to go up the towers. Super worth it, beautiful views of Genebra and the lake and a unique way to explore the cathedral towers and ceiling

One of the historical buildings for Christians. It has two tower for observing around and see Geneve's wiev. It has also archological sites under it. You can visit with ticket without reservation. Enjoy history and landscapes.

A place rich in history. It was so important for Geneve for such long time that it is a "must go place" when visiting the city. I recommend buying the stairs + archeological site combo; it's super cool to see the city from above and super interesting to check the excavations where so much happened in the past.

What a beautiful structure. We paid seven Swiss francs to tour the towers, which was worth it for the view. There are a lot of small steps to go up the tower and back down the other tower.

As the only brown individuals in attendance, we couldn't help but notice a lack of diversity. While the architectural magnificence was undeniably present, the experience was marred when, upon returning choir booklets, a lady volunteer exhibited an unfortunate lack of warmth. Her strange stare and the abrupt manner in which she pulled the booklet from our hands left a lasting negative impression. Despite this unfortunate incident, St. Pierre Cathedral remains a must-visit for those appreciating architectural wonders and seeking a glimpse into Geneva's rich history. It is my hope that future visitors encounter a more inclusive and welcoming atmosphere.

A magnificent cathedral with classic tall beam structures, glasswork and historical wooden interiors (such as choir stands from the 1500’s), an interesting visit and there is no entrance fee. Definitely has that holy feel, even if you aren’t religious. So full of history it would be a shame not to visit, so highly recommend stopping by!!

A beautiful place for day/ evening stroll with family/friends/ solo outing. Grab your ice cream, take photos and relax later with your favourite drink along spot of your choice along the lake.

Flowers were well kept, clock was nice and obviously a popular attraction to this park :) We saw it on a Tuesday around 1 pm. There is no tickets or wait to "get in", but you might have to wait if you want a photo with nobody else. I asked one guy if he could take a picture of me/partner/dog and he ended up taking 7 photos from different angles - so nice!

This is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Geneva. But as a result this place is flooded with tourists lining up to take a picture with the clock. It is a gorgeous, well maintained clock; however, I would not recommend going out of your way to stop by to see it as you likely will not get an unobstructed view

Such a cute place! This floral clock looks lovely and cute indeed and I bet many tourists have been visiting this spot as well. The reason why I love it because it keeps changing every season (if I'm not mistaken) and it is conveniently located by the lake and so near Place du Rhone where you can go shopping and walk to the Old Town. During spring, this place is usually packed. But that's before the pandemic. Nowadays, it might not be that busy because far less tourists are coming to Geneva.

Creative piece of work! About 7 minutes walk from Saint Pierre Cathedral. Located in the vicinity of Jet d'Eau. Your little ones will be exited to see this. Background reminds me of the teletubbies.

In the heart of the Geneva and very close to the lake of Geneva jet d'Eau there is clock of thousands flower different colours... Because Geneva is city of watches and watchmakers tradition they make some symbol of them... Before it's the biggest on the world now I think it's the second.. There is always much tourists who take photos and videos of the clock... Every part of year clock is in different colour... Better to come earlier in the morning if you want good picture and there is less people or nobody... Because it's one of main city attraction if you in Geneva I recommend to see this clock 👌

It is an interesting clock that is full of flowers which look soo nice and beatiful. Situated very close to center of Geneva's bus and tram stations and near lake. Enjoy.

One thing to note. Go during the morning. It gets super crowded as the hours go on. Like insanely crowded. Even I passed back by in the afternoon it was PACKED. So go earlier.

The Flower 🌹🌷 Clock ⏰ is good. The Floral Clock, 18 feet in diameter, is a popular attraction at the International Peace Garden, and displays a unique floral design each year.

The flower clock is so beautiful, I learnt from the locals that the flower is changed frequently depending on the seasons. There’s a park close to it where you can sit for chit chat, take pictures and soak in the beauty of the city.

I didn’t do the tour inside as it was about to close. From outside the building, its garden with the flags and the sign have their special vibe and awesome to take pics with. The main entrance has nothing much but the back entrance used for the tours next to the flags garden is the spot to take pics at. If you want to do the tour check the timings as they are limited. Imposing monument of equality and diversity. Huge place with large halls and roome for meetings of international importance. All seats have Mike's and speakers which have translated version in 6 or more languages depending on the room and meeting.

A must see place when you are visiting Geneve! During my posting in Geneve from 2007 - 2011 in Geneva, I spent most of my time here..every working days perhaps :D..so I got a chance to go around and enjoy its beauty. I even get the chance to visit the place again for works until the pandemic hits. An organized tour is also available for tourists, with extra discount if you're coming with someone with UN ID. But please check the arrangement during the pandemic as some places close their tour. If you have a friend or family with the UN ID, you can come along with them to get in and see the Palais yourself accompanies by the person with the ID. Don't miss Room XX or Alliance for Civilization Room with its magnificent ceiling work...General Assembly, Salle des pas perdu and the famous backyard as well as mountainous scenery, the Council Chamber. Many interesting art objects and gifts from States are also in displays.I also love the murals in the library....and of course, Gate 1 where we have the lines of flags of the UN member states.if you are lucky, you can also see beautiful peacocks roaming freely in some corners of the yard... Don't forget to walk around the Armillery sphere and take pictures there with the Palais as the background..so lovely...There is also a typical Swiss chalet near the main gate... A true palace indeed...with all its endless and enchanted beauty... Take your time and enjoy it...

It's such a fantastic place for meetings, the quiet nature of meetings is just unique, and everyone's listening through an earphone speaker. The WiFi is also so good... The downside is that I've not seen prayer rooms and the toilets aren't Muslim-friendly but thats manageable. In a nutshell the Palais des Nations is such great place to be.

The UN was the top of my sons list when we booked our trip to Geneva, so we just had to get tickets to get inside! You have to book a tour to get inside the gates, we booked online roughly 3 weeks before, but it tells you to do it as soon as you can as it books up fast! You get a guided 1hour tour which is OK, but it's honestly worth booking just to get inside the gates, so many brilliant photo opportunities! The buildings and gardens are beautiful! My son was so happy getting his picture with the flags! Our tour guide was lovely, I can't remember his name! He really did try to squeeze as much in as possible in the short time! It's worth it as the tickets are quite cheap!

I was here for the World Health Assembly. It is a big compound with different buildings and rooms for sessions and meetings. There are directions although it may get a bit confusing if one does not understand French. Over all, it is beautiful with a lot of green spaces and fairly accessible.

Guided tours for the Palace of Nations (Palais des Nations) were fully booked or not available during my visit to Geneva in mid-April 2023. As a tourist, it was interesting to see the nearby Alley of the Flags and Broken Chair sculpture.

I have always dreamed of visiting the United Nations, so this was very moving and awesome for me! I love the mission of the UN, to bring people together to find common ground; to work together to identify and solve issues of human rights throughout the world. A worldwide brotherhood and sisters of people who care! I love it❣️

Peace ✌️ Couldn't attend the UN inside tour as the timing didn't sync. But went around the building. Did a customary search for my India's Flag among the posts and satisfied with it 😄

Old but beautiful UN building. There is a simple but really pleasant garden behind the main buildings, where you can see a lake and mountains from afar. In this garden you will also find some interesting sculptures. If you are a tourist, there is a guided tour which will bring you to observe meeting rooms from the top. For delegates, it should be noted that the cafe is quite small and the cafeteria has limited food choices. (The cafeteria also only open until 2 PM.) Maybe consider bringing your own lunches if you have time to prepare one.

We had a fantastic guide (I'm sorry, I don't remember her name but she's from Belgium) who provided us with some interesting information about the UN. We were lucky enough to visit one of the conference rooms whilst a meeting with the Human Rights council was underway. Definitely keep an eye on the website as it appeared that all tours for the days we wanted were booked out but I happened to check a week out and a whole heap were available.

I have been visiting Palais des Nations for past three years for multiple business meetings and events. This place is one of the beautiful & happening place for Diplomacy & International Relations.

I really enjoyed this museum. It has a VERY BIG collection of watches from Patek Phillipe's history. You start from the top floor and work your way down. With every floor you get too see almost exponentially more watches. It's incredible how many different designs were made throughout time as styles and fashion changed. There are even some interesting experimental ones. On the ground floor you can see their little workshop. The normal entrance price is only 10 CHF and they also offer a complimentary audio guide in the form of a tablet with headphones. If you have a backpack or bigger bags you have to stow them in their lockers (you only need a coin or can get a free token with the staff). The only thing I thought was unfortunate is the fact that you can't take any photos of the watches/clocks (probably for a good reason).

A must do in Geneva for only €10 per person. You can see that innovation and adaptation is 2 driving factors for success. Watch making for over 500 years! Easily the most beautiful watch collection I’ve ever seen.

I'm not one to really understand the magnificence behind these Swiss watch masterpiece(s), but i was truly amazed by what I have seen. Those who are into watches, this is a compulsory visit. For those who don't know much, it's still worth the visit, as you need to understand what makes these types of watches so amazing.

This was the most informative museum on our trip last month 😃. The lady at the guided tour clearly had a great passion 🔥 towards antique watches and the culture around it . She made us understand why the watches were designed in the way they did . For example the ⌚s w a salt box 🧂 was to prevent girls from passing out in corsets 👗😅 . For example the touch watch was to know the time in the pocket in a boring meeting 💬💭 but still be polite😅 . She also paid attention to the fonts on the watches . My favorite there was the singing birds w unbelievable tiny and accurate automation and the solar clocks . i can't wait to go back again to learn more details . by the way we were also lucky yo see an expensive 🌷 Tulips temporary exhibition . one of them was said to be the value of half of the museum 😮. The first thing the lady told us was : it is all about complications . 😮

Free admission with the Swiss pass with lockers to put your things in the basement. No backpacks allowed while on the visit. I found the antique collection on the 3rd and 2nd floor more relatable since I am not a fan of the Patek Philippe watches which are displayed on the first floor. Learning about the history of portable watches and looking at the last specimens that exist in the world from the 14-15th century was a big draw. No photos allowed usually but I couldn't help but snap a few of the more impressive clocks.

Probably the most impressive clock museum in the world. Recommended to take the guided tour (every Saturday 2pm).

This museum had watches that I honestly did not expect to see. Starting from the earliest instruments used to make these watches to some extremely weird watch concepts, this museum has it all. There are quite a bit of restrictions as to what can be filmed (example DSLR cameras are not allowed and so is videography of any type). The museum only accepts online payments and that too in Swiss Francs. This means that Euros are not accepted. This is however a place that is worth visiting if you choose to come to Geneva for a quick day trip.

After visiting this museum, it becomes very clear why Patek Philippe is definitely the top watch brand in the world. The photos that I shared, are not enough to convey the grandeur of the brand. Enjoy.

It is not bad to come to visit this museum. It cost 10€ for adult. You need more than one hour to visit. They show a nice watch from 1500, they are so nice and cool. You also can see equipments how they produced in the past. They don't allow to take a photo inside because of securities thing.

Patek Philippe museum is totally worth the visit. The building has 3 floors that houses a wide collection of watches and a library. They have a fascinating collection of the antique watches and the Patek Philipe collection. They also provide a guided tour. Plan your visit around this time as it was wonderful to listen to the story behind most watches from the guide. Photos were prohibited inside the museum.

It's nice, however I don't know who has the patience to do the long audio your tour. After 15 minutes I personally got tired of even the short one

If you are a fan of mechanical watches you simply cant miss this place. The collection of watches is amazing. They have self guided tours which i would highly recommend to take. Although they run out of the devices, if you wait a bit you can get hold of one. Also if you have the swiss pass the museum entrance is free. You can easily spend couple of hours in this museum. No bags are allowed inside and they have lockers to stow away your stuff.

Great museum, I could not believe how old some of the watches are. The craftsmanship was breathtaking. It was nice to go through the history of watches, must admit I can not believe how great watches were made 100s of years ago, the attention to detail was like from another planet.

A nice look into the history of watchmaking, from the very first portable watches to modern wristwatches, also including various other historically related trinkets. It did get quite repetitive with many similar things later on, but would probably be interesting for the watch enthusiasts out there. 10 CHF for entrance pp., not that expensive but definitely not cheap. There was a free audio guide and the staff were friendly. There were signs saying that large cameras and flash wasn’t allowed, but then a sign saying that phones were allowed, so we naturally thought it meant we could take pictures with phones, but not with huge cameras (apparently many others thought the same) but later on we got told off by security. Very misleading sign, they could just have written that photography wasn’t allowed. That was a bad experience so here are some pictures for revenge haha

See the most complicated watch in history. You can buy tickets at the museum or in advance. They offer personal guided tours as well. They have limited audio devices for a self guided audio tour.

A great museum to visit and learn on the historical brand of Patek Philippe. 3 storey full of watches to admire. Depending on availability, the audio guide could give in-depth information on each timepeices displayed. I really enjoyed my time there. Free entry with swiss travel pass.

This museum is a must visit for anyone interested in watches, mechanical engineering, art, jewellery. The museum has three different levels, all of them are packed with the most beautiful pieces of art. The entry is only 10CHF, and you can easily spend 3-4 hours if you want a detailed look at everything on display. The place is very very well kept, there's no dust to be seen, no fingerprints on the display boxes, the attention to detail is truly magnificent. I very highly recommend visiting this museum when you're in Genève.

If you are in Geneva ans you love watches ⌚️ you must visit the Patek philippe Museum. A nice place to learn about the history of this watchmaker. It's a quiet place yo enjoy all the watch collection. They will give you an iPad (no Spanish) so you can learn about the collection. And the end of the visit you will be able to see the workof two watchmaker doing restoration.

I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to the museum. Got to learn a little bit more about watches in general and also have an in depth immersion into the history of the watch brand. Entry was fairly priced and there were audio-visual guides available for the tour. There are 3 floors; and, on the 1st floor, a little cinema to view a 5-10 minute clip on the start of the brand. Throughout the museum, you get the see the actual machines used to manufacture the watches, the tools used, the kind of mechanism used over time, and different sorts of watches. I did get a little woozy towards the end… which is normal after taking in so much.

What a wonderful fondue experience. Loved the casual ambiance and what a great fondue. You place and pay for your order at counter and they will bring fondue later. Great taste and great service. A must go place by the lake Geneva in winters. It’s actually in the lake connected with a pathway…. Do enjoy

A MUST for tourists like me who has never dipped in lakes with near freezing water temperatures. Go into the sauna or hammam and then plunge yourself into the lake. As for the service, one of the guy there who knows English is very friendly and explained everything to expect. Even brought us for a tour of the place to familiarize us with the rooms. A memorable experience. Just go for it. Pictured is the personal locker room to give you ample storage space and privacy.

Awesome place to visit. The water was a bit cold but it warmed my day. The one time entrance for adults costs 2 francs for adults but one can also buy passes. The venue is great and you might even find locals singing some music near the jumping board. The Bains has a restaurant that serves mostly fondue and some drinks.

2 chf euro to get in - lovely swim spot with lounge areas (including a ladies only side) floating decks, a slide, and what looks like could be a rock climb wall in the water! Food and drink fairly priced too. If I lived here I would 10000% get a membership ❤️

Came here on a sunny Sunday and wish we had stayed all day. Bring a bathing suit, enjoy the sun and water. Great food and fondue, it is a 2 Frank admission fee and cash only at the bar and restaurant. Great place to chill and sun bathe. Highly recommend.

The place to be in Geneva. Great atmosphere, a lot of activities in summer and in winter. Really good food, amazing fondue. For a fair price. Located on the middle of the lac how could it be better? Going there every time I have the chance to!!!

Nice place to enjoy the view to the lake and relax. People are sunbathing and swimming even in the autumn. The water looks very clean water. There is also a beautiful light house. Definitely a good place for a walk.

Amazing place in Geneva 365 days a year! Whether for a swim, a plat du jour or fondue in the winter BDP is one of the highlights of this town where you can see the real Genevois. Peak season 2.- entry and can now pay by card in the restaurant over 10.- Watch out for the meat which is made of horse.

Cheap to enter and also offers cheaper drinks for geneva standards (i haven’t tried the food), but yeah it can be really busy when it’s warm, and the nightlife is also really good (and very cold)! The benches to sit and eat or drink are long picnic benches, assuming to encourage conversation and community. There is also a song that plays every so often about keeping the area clean! Many activities to do in the summer including a floating rock wall which is much fun!

Upscale place where rich relax and sun bathe. Has small snack centre serving healthy juices and snacks. Dozens of Locker rooms for peace of mind. The sauna was full when we reached around 2:00 on Monday. Guess, it should be busier on weekends. Some people took dip in freezing water, some just reading books in sun.

Great little 'beach!' Visited with family on a weekend morning/noon. Paid 2CHF (cash only) per adult and the little one went free. Please be aware there is no step free access and about 15-20 steps to cross to the main beach area! We spent an hour or two in the 'childrens' area where there is an enclosed space for younger children to paddle in, a large metal slide and a sandbox! Really impressed with these additions, and the outdoor showers and water fountains are close by. Stunning views of the lake edges, the jet and some stunning photo ops. There is food nearby, and a tent where you can get a massage at the end of the walkway.

The best spot for cheese fondue and an authentic (and not too expensive) Geneva experience. It’s pretty noisy lively and noisy inside but makes for a jolly experience. Everything is self service and the fondue and view of the lake is incredible!

Really beautiful to have hiking here. Some caverns on the road. Sometimes a bit tricky because the path is not large and it's dangerous on one side. Additionally, there is a nice restaurant for fondue on top of it

Excellent hike and cable car providing access to the mountains and views of Geneva. Left one star off because the new toilet facilities only has baby changing in the women’s toilets, so as a father I had to use that to change my daughter. And the male/female door signs were needlessly ambiguous.

There are several trails to hike up, but the most frequented is called Pas-de-l'Echelle. You can park your car at the bottom gondola stop.Once you reach the top you can enjoy a drink at one of several restaurants/canteens, and then either hike back down or take the gondola one-way, which is only about an eight-minute ride.Travelled up in the cable car and what a view.....so worth a visit. Little cafe at top with well priced food and drinks

Amazing hike. We left Geneva around 9 am and started hiking around 9:30. We picked the easiest route, which can be quite steep at some parts too. We arrived the peak around 12:30 and we took the cable car down as the hill is too steep for going down. Definitely recommend this to everyone in Geneva.

Unbelievable hiking and views of the Alps and Geneva! Stayed in Archamps for a couple of weeks and randomly drove to the mountain one day to look around and ended up hiking for 6 hours! Had so much fun went back for another day of hiking.

Less than 1 hour slow drive from Geneva on a very bendy road up the mountain, will bring you to this stunning place. There's a car park near the summit where you can leave your car and get into one of the paths in the area. The 10 minutes one just up to the top of the mountain takes you to a breath taking view point overlooking Geneva, Lake Leman and the Rhône valley. Very windy up there so be ready or you won't be able to stay for too long. There are a few places to put on fire so if you come prepared for that, you can enjoy a real treat in the woods. Driving more on the same road you'll also find view points looking over the French Alpes. Very recommended.

The quick getaway - just in a few mins and you are on the top of the mountain overlooking Geneva and opening amasing views to Mont Blanc. On the top of the hill you will find a restaurant with a very good food and beer Saleve.

Huge installation just in front of United Nations headquarters. Grim reminder of losses due to land mines and create awareness of the perils. Take 15no Tram from Cornavin and it drops you to station named Nations and the installation is just few metres and too huge to be missed. If you enter the United Nations and from the main building, between the flags of the nations, it can be seen in the centre. The open space along the installation is usually occupied by protestors.

We went there on a weekend As the united nation is closed. There are not many visitors! Very easy to go ! The environment is really nice !

It provides an overview of the role and positive impact of the Red Cross in war and natural disasters. It heightened our awareness of the traumatic experiences people have due to wars and conflicts. A great Museum with a stunning architecture inside. It has a lot to offer, primarily in terms of the red cross history. There are audio guidelines in multiple languages and interactive displays all over the museum. The whole museum is quite up to date in terms of technology. Worth a short visit if you are in Geneva even for a single day. Across the museum, you’ll find the ceramics museum which is also quite cool. They also offer student discount and are free if you have the Swiss travel pass!

Very interesting place. It’s possible to learn Red Cross’s history and also see some very beautiful handcraft made by people assisted by the institution.

Probably the most emotional experience in Geneva. Not a big collection, but extremely relevant objects and documents exposed in order to understand what Red Cross is doing for the humanity

I don't need to say that visiting the Red Cross museum is a must when in Geneva. It is everything one would imagine it to be - real-life stories, history of the Red Cross and even something we all can do to contribute in case of a disaster situation. What was surprising is how interactive the museum is. It creates a feeling that one is a part of something bigger in contrast to being an outside observer.

The staff were welcoming when we arrived and were attentive. We enjoyed the most delicious cocktails and cakes too.

The staff was very nice to us even though they were clearly in a rush to serve all the people. When we went, it was completely packed and it was already the end of the food service so there's clearly a draw to this place. The nice placement of the restaurant at the entrance of the park in front of people playing chess helps with this I think. The little attention and flair in the food makes it even better. Give this a shot if you are nearby and try a Guillaume Bichet dessert while you're here.

We went for a Saturday lunch on a beautiful sunny day where only the patio was open. It’s a lovely place to sit and definitely walk around inside as it’s a beautiful building with lovely architecture. The menu was entirely seafood (mostly raw). We ordered the salmon sashimi and cooked fish off the day. The food was good, not great - the prices were a bit high all things considered.

To start on a positive note, the restaurant is very beautiful and the atmosphere is amazing. Apart from that, I can hardly say anything positive. The service was horribly slow - we waited for more than 1 hour to get our food and the restaurant wasn't even full. The food itself was tasty but the portions were small. A beautiful cafe with beautiful views both inside and outside. The decorations are beautiful as such as the parc des bastions. We only had coffee but everything seemed very nice. Especially the cocktails. But I suggest go for a coffee once or twice while you are in Geneva because the prices might be a little expensive for your taste. Love this Park in the heart of Geneva! It’s spacious, clean, well maintained and calm. It’s a great place solo or with friends. This park is home to some of the finest monuments in the city (the famous Reformation Wall, which represents the personalities of the Reformation, the Palais Eynard, which houses the executive authorities of the city). It’s across the Geneva university. It has several life-size chess sets, a kids playground, a restaurant, few drinkable water fountains, etc. The trees are absolutely gorgeous and it hosts the friendliest birds I have ever met 🙂 There are few entrances and few buses that stops right in front the main entrance.

Frozen food, excessively long service, nice lamps to be nice! Very disappointing…. I wish I had something good to say. A note for the chef, maybe learn how to defrost food 🤪

Went for the Sunday brunch. The place is nicely done and the staff very friendly and helpful. The buffet food, however, is not up to expectations and not very tasty, and the fruit juices are not fresh. And at CHF 59 per adult (no alcohol included) and CHF 29 per kid (even charged to our 2 year old), the prices are definitely a bit too high.

Absolutely mind blowing. Had so much taxidermy animals and were all laid out so artfully and intelligently. Some of the display cases were really modern in their execution, almost like little art installations of beautiful birds. Really enjoyed every moment. Will go back in a flash 10/10 and was free which was a touch. Probably don’t go if you’re vegan. Looked like they had a nice cafe and a nice gift shop.

A lovely museum we visited late last year where you can learn about the natural history of Geneva. The museum is organized and contains many sections that narrate different historical periods for different organisms. Very suitable for family visits, especially with children who will enjoy seeing life-sized stuffed animals and birds. At the moment the museum is temporarily closed for renovation and it would be nice to revisit it to see the new look.

A taxidermist’s dream, stuffed dead mammals, birds, fish, reptiles … all very interesting to look at but not very interactive or engaging. Nice layout with good lighting effects and free entry means worth a visit if it’s raining outside or you have an hour to kill.

Absolutely amazing free museum with life sized hyper realistic models and preservations of many animals, from birds to insects to fish and mammals. The displays are incredibly artistic, and I highly recommend that you plan at least 3 hours to truly enjoy this! A wonderful day out for adults and children alike. There is a small cafe on the first floor for refreshments. Signs and displays are mostly french, with some English translations on the second floor. I wish we'd planned longer here!!

Google Maps says open. Only when you scroll down and see a note from the 'owner' do you see the museum is closed, for renovations. That is, after walking for 35 minutes with a 3.5 year old that is now crying as she really wanted to go inside. Change your Google Mpas status to temporarily closed!

This is a fun mesum to see how different species interacts with one another. It is a fun, realistic museum that is free to visit (bonus!)! It takes about 30 minutes to walk through all the exhibits but you could definitely spend a couple hours here. This is a good place to bring kids.

What a wonderful/beautiful museum, I can describe it as a small world with mostly all kinds of animals from all over the world, created in a way that gives you life when you look at the animals, it's a great mixture between art and life. I go there every time I get the chance, because you can never get bored. Drawing classes are attended at this museum, and that gives you how much momentum there is. It is very good to be with children, you can easily spend half a day. There is a nice gift shop beside, also there is a coffee shop. No need to buy a ticket, it's free and that's the best thing they did, because you rarely find good places in Switzerland with free entry 😊

Interesting wall with carvings in French, German and English, telling stories about the reformation. One of the more prominent Genevian(?) structures, which I recommend at least strolling by if you are in town. It was getting a hefty washing while we visited but at least it was looking all clean :))

An important piece of history located within the university park, this wall is supposed to commemorate the history of protestantism in Geneva. For such an important asset, it would have been good to have some English explanation somewhere. We had to Google to figure out which statue belonged to who. The park is also quite a relaxing stroll, with public chess boards and shady trees in summer.

The really amazing place the Landowski worked with Bouchard on this piece. The four main figures (John Calvin, William Farel, Theodore Beza and John Knox) were carved together by both sculptors it was inaugurated in 1909 the monument is covered by a beautiful park . The monument was the culmination of a contest launched to transform that part of the park. The contest involved 71 proposals from around the world, and was won by four Swiss architects: Charles Dubois, Alphonse Laverrière, Eugène Monod, and Jean Taillens (whose other design came third).The sculptures were then created by two French sculptors: Paul Landowski and Henri Bouchard. If you ever go to Geneva never miss this place

Free attraction as it's situated in a park area. Pretty historical piece of Geneva - my wife and I enjoyed taking pictures with the various statues and reading what we could about the history of it all. There were a lot of engraved/carved text in French. It's probably one fifth of a mile long from one end to the other. I recommend visiting if you're ever in Geneva.

The Reformation wall is about 100m long and honours the events and individuals involved in Protestant reformation. Entry is free as it's part of a park. It's quite near bus/tram stations so minimal walking involved. The surrounding park area is peaceful and is usually full of families. I saw one or two dance classes and yoga classes going on in the vicinity

This flower clock is renowned as a main attraction in Geneva. Even before I knew anything about the city I knew of this clock. Keep your expectations reasonable and to a minimum. It is nice and very well maintained but not really something that is that noteworthy in person. Better to see it as a part of walking/train tours.

Small and beautiful park near Geneva lake. Beautiful installations, green lawns, close to Flower Clock. Some installations were underway andnwould be operational by Mar 2024. Great views of the Geneva Lake and Geneva fountain. We could see rainbow hues in the fountain from here at around 2:30pm. It was visible from certain angles only. Many people walking and walking dogs.

English Garden is also a great place to be in Geneva during the day snd night. You can swim, ride on a boat and lots of other fun things to do in the area like dining, tour trains etc.

Beautiful gardens right next to Lake Geneva. At the edge of the garden is the famous Geneva Flower Clock which can also be seen from the road. The garden is well maintained and has plenty of benches to sit and relax. There is a drinking water fountain as well. Entrance to the garden and to the Flower Clock is free. Worth visiting and spending time here.

Geneva is a big change from the rest of Switzerland. It breaks from the slower pace to be quite hectic, similar to that of major cities elsewhere. The fountain is not as impressive as one would think. Young crowd, French mostly but did not stay long enough to fully understand the vibe, instead travelled on to France. Prefer cities of Bern and Zurich.

Probably because I visited on a weekday afternoon that I find the garden to be very general. Fountains were not open and several area under renovation. It is indeed very quiet and peaceful but nothing too exciting.

A very beautiful place around lake Geneva the flowers arrangements are just amazing if you are flower lovers you will be mesmerized by the view and the clock is also made with flowers unfortunately i didn't make picture but its great there is good Souvenir shops and ice-cream must visit

Really pretty garden! The flower clock was beautiful to look at, and the general atmosphere of the garden was really pleasant. It’s also home to some interesting statues and a big wheel, which we immediately chose to ride and loved! So many amazing views! The Jardin Anglais isn’t a complete essential when visiting Geneva but it’s always nice to take a stroll and be around nature!

One of those must see parks in Geneva with the famous flower clock. It's a decent sized park and everyone is chilled out jogging or walking. There is some street food on offer, plenty of benches and bins. It's a clean and tidy park well looked after.

You're in Switzerland, what do you expect but to see clocks and watches? Haha! Lovely flower clock, I saw it at night and it was also pretty. Although, to be honest, I was passing by (I don't think I would have gone exclusively to see it. Maybe if I had had more time in the city).

Pretty park along the lake, greenery (much of which fenced off for maintenance?) and walkways - there were some cool relaxation areas with hammocks under some canvas tents, one where there was a salsa class. There was a little beach on the north side, even though the water was freezing. The clock was pretty and well kept with beautiful flowers. Toilets - smelled pretty bad, no toilet paper or soap. The Ferris wheel was nice (7 CHF) if a bit short, but we were able to take our dog :) and see a lot of Geneva around us. The water fountain was on too which was cool!

A happy place to be. It was where the Geneva Marathon organised its Marathon village on 03-04 May 2024. The place was full of families, tourists and what not. Lots of eatery vans and street food.
