An open air museum that has a combination of real shops and crops. It contains recreation of buildings from different eras and working class and displays what Denmark cities used to look like. Quite beautiful. Renovations are currently happening for 2023, and will have new entrances and the more 1950s Denmark. Recommend to go and see the telephone store to see a real working olden day telephone! This museum is worth a visit!

Den Gamle By in a cool spot to visit in Aarhus. It’s like walking onto a movie set of an old Danish town. I loved popping into the little shops and houses and the museums, you really get a feel for what life was like back in the day. It’s perfect for a chill but educational day out, whether you're with family or just hanging with friends. I would go more often if the entrance fee was lower!

A wonderful exhibition of Danish life through the ages. Very educational and happy to see that so many beautiful original buildings have been carefully disassembled and reassembled at this location in order to preserve the wonderful architecture and history. Very interesting that the newer 1970s section is used to help those with Alzheimer’s. My son was so excited about the hi-fi stereo shop and repair store. Had an wonderful chat and education from the two gentlemen working there. If you want to really take it all in, you probably need 1 1/2 days to truly explore everything. Must see!!

What a place! I was already excited before I went but I was even more impressed during my visit. It still exceeded my high expectations. I visited during the week and it must be even more exciting on weekends. There were a few people dressed up but it is incredible how the houses and buildings are very well preserved and give you an incredible accurate impression of how life was in the past. Some shops are still manned by staff and are used as real shops. It's an incredible experience. Many people had their dogs also. I didn't eat there but will do next time. It's a MUST to visit when in Aarhus. Fantastic!

This is an open air museum where houses and shops from different periods have been recreated with care. They have bakery shops where you can have a snack and coffee (the cakes and goodies available must also be from yesteryear..:)); a garden where you can buy flowers and herbs; horses and buggy drivers; etc Will suit children or people not brought up and exposed in or exposed to older European architecture and culture. But if you have been all you might need is a quick gander through before heading to the next of Aarhus’ many museums.

Great places to see and understand the history of Denmark and how old danish life was during 70’s, 80’s and now. They have different zones with different decades. We got a wonderful guide who explained all the historical details nicely and as a story. Had a short trip around this but definitely will take a day or half a day to cover all the houses and details. Recommend place to visit and experience the old life of danish people. They have a restaurant with danish specific foods.

Situated in the heart of Aarhus, this open air museum (set in 3 distinct time periods) is a great way to spend a few hours. Easy to find and to park nearby, it is a fascinating look at Danish life in the 1700s, 1920s, and 1970s. Genuinely interesting and packed with things to see. Well worth a visit

Great place to visit and dig into the Danish history. Very pleasant walk around the old buildings, which you can explore inside as well. It is nicely organised and child friendly with lots of activities for them. We spent almost 3 hours there and still did not see everything we wanted.

This place is a must go. It's an outdoor attraction with buildings from different ages and tells you a little about the history from each time. It's a great place to go with friends, family, couple or even alone. Adults pays around 190dkk if I am not wrong and kids are free. Accessibility: I didn't see any elevator, must buildings have only stairs and not all streets are wheelchair "friendly" so I might be a challenge. Language: most people from the food courts and others services speaks English Food: they have some options like hot dog, pizza, a danish traditional restaurant, ice cream Toilets: there are many toilets around the establishment and they are clean In general, is a great experience Bonus: they have a carriage tour and is worth it to pay more (100dkk) to go around the Botanical Garden instead of only paying 50dkk to go around the streets inside Old Town

We had an exceptional experience at Dem Gammel by Visit, and the old brewery was the spotlight for me. The gentle brewer's kindness and attentiveness made us all warm and welcomed. He walked us through the entire brewing process, allowing us to savor different types of beer—an amazing and educational experience. Purchasing the beer cup for 20 kronas opened the door to unlimited feast as I tasted freshly brewed beer. Plus, the festive Christmas atmosphere outside added to the overall delight. It was, without a doubt, a great and delicious visit.

Takes you back to a past era with houses from the 18th Century. It was worth going. Found some geese shouting and trying to get food from the people there. That was fun.

Fun and interesting museum, documenting life in Denmark throughout the years. There are things from 2014, the 70-80ies and all the way back to the 1600’s. Great fun for both adults and kids. The only thing that was less than ideal was the looong line to get in and that some of the people working on serving lunch seemed a bit unexperienced, but other than that it’s a perfect place to visit in Aarhus.

What a great trip. We went there because a local guy in a fish store had telling us about it. Great journey through the different years and really great buildings and decorations. Everything is looking really nice and you can go inside in some buildings. Great experience, I would recommend a visit on a weekday, and plan about 4-5 hours. If I went to Denmark again, I will come back.

Located in Aarhus Denmark. A fantastic snapshot of life in Denmark over 100's of years on a truly grand scale. Real buildings that have been removed from their original locations and set in place in zoned areas depending on their time in history. There is a complete street with shops from the 1970's filled with relevant products and some even with actual staff. Along with all the buildings filled with historic items there are things going on all of the time. A group of women washing clothes by a stream, young boys carrying water from the village well, horses and carriages, a vintage car driving along a cobbled street. There are hundreds of exhibitions and there are also info boards with info in both Danish and English. You'll have no problem communicating as the Danish are brilliant English speakers. Food and drink is easily available, there are plenty of toilets. Not all areas are accessible to wheelchair users or those with impaired mobility but nevertheless there is much to see. You'll need a minimum of 4 hours here, you could easily spend the day and not see it all. We had an amazing time and would thoroughly recommend

I do love this place. I can say that this is my favorite open-museum in the world. Things are presented in different attractive ways. Let us interact with a particular exhibited item. Enjoy and have so much fun. I can stay here the entire day or two days if have time more. Worth to visit.

Aesthetically speaking, this is definitely a wonderful place to visit. The museum is a great place to explore, and has so many unique experiences and exhibitions that every time we come back, it's completely different. As its quite small, you can explore all of the different exhibits in a few hours, which means that when you're with kids you're not completely drained. The rainbow gives some amazing photo opportunities, just make sure to visit when it's bright outside for the best effect!

Great Museum from the outside. The rainbow circle at the top looks great, and it is very entertaining, probably the highlight of the museum, something to remember. If you are under 31 years old, you pay 145 Dkk which is a fair price. Interesting modern art exhibitions in the inside but nothing spectacular, I must say. Some of the floors are not really part of the museum since there are closed restaurants or library or workshop areas which can't be visited. If you are in Aarhus, it's definitely worth visiting this museum, but I would not travel to Aarhus to see it.

This might be one of my favorite museums I’ve ever visited...and I’m not a huge museum person. By far this was my favorite museum in Denmark— the architecture, for one, was beautiful, and of course the rainbow panorama lived up to the hype and was a joy to walk around. But the real stars of the show were all of the exhibits on each of the floors— every single one of them I was intrigued by, and major props to the museum curators because they are slaying. There is truly something here for everyone!

I love this Cultural Art Museum. We had 2 Kids with us today. And they could walk around them self if they wanted, to se what they would. There is so much different exhibitions for All of us and we get a lot inspiration with us. The covid-19 restrictions were good and the most guest followed them. We'll be back. ✨🙌

A lot of exhibitions under one roof. It's all skewing a little bit too modern for my taste, so I really loved the exhibition showing various aspects of "human nature" portrayed through 200 years of painting. The rooftop rainbow installation is deeply fascinating and a must-see.

So so lucky to be staying so close to this incredible art museum!! Do not miss the incredible installations on the bottom floor that will transport you to other worlds, the BIG boy, and the rainbow walkway on the rooftop. The cafe and gift shop are lovely too!

A museum that already went to my top5 museums in the world, very organized and accessible in case of mobility difficulties. They have specifics exhibitions and a nice amount of danish artists.

Very accessible and clearly locally popular modern art institute. The rainbow panorama is a very special experience. It was lovely during sunset in early evening when it's not busy. Very good museum shop. The collection of my Danish artists, and local painting was interesting, as were the different changing exhibitions.

One of the best contemporary art museums in Scandinavia. They have a huge selection, a wonderful and well-known “rainbow glass” roof passage, and some amazing experiential art rooms in the basement. Cannot recommend this enough. Get there early if you plan on seeing everything!

The rainbow skywalk was ingenious. Also the different exhibitions are great. The art installation at the ground floor is definitely a must to see.

Looks good on the outside with the rainbow structure on top but entrance fee way too expensive in my honest opinion. 20 pounds for art that I can’t appreciate. Very niche tourist attraction. Shop and toilets are good though.

ARoS is a great contemporary art museum that constantly refreshes its exhibitions every 3-6 months. The highlight is undoubtedly the rainbow installation, "Your rainbow panorama" by Ólafur Elíasson, offering breathtaking views over Aarhus. Currently featuring works by Annette Messager, Susan Philipz, Ron Mueck, and Erró, alongside the intriguing permanent collection, ARoS promises an engaging experience. Personally, I was captivated by the "Boy" in the "Far from Home" exhibition.

An art museum holding various exhibitions that will likely take you hours to complete. No backpacks nor big bags are allowed to be brought into the exhibitions. There is a locker area next to the ticket purchase to store your belongings before entering the exhibition floors. Would recommend taking the elevator up to the top floor and then working your way down if it isn't too busy. Otherwise, going up one floor at a time, then take the elevator back down.

This is an absolute must see when you come to Aarhus. The rainbow panorama is just something else and the rest of the exhibitions are interesting over 6/7 floors. I spend around 2 hours here to see everything. It is very accessible too. Highly recommended.

Amazing and beautiful museum! A must visit place in Aarhus for sure! I bought the ticket some days before and it was perfect because when I arrived there was a long queue to buy a ticket. The museum have beautiful and interesting exhibitions.

The location is spectacular ! The presentation of the exhibitions is incredible, there is clearly a lot of efforts put into this Museum. And we were lucky to come at a time where is was pretty much empty, which made it a lot more enjoyable. However it's pretty expensive, a bit repetitive and definitely lacks some interactiveness.

This is an awesome museum to visit. Don’t forget to allocate enough amount of time for the visit as the exhibition is very immersive and informative. There is massive amount of information and details to take in if you have time. It has a nice restaurant to help rest and recharge during your visit. The staff are professional and helpful.

Museum located on the outskirts of Aarhus. It can be reached with a bus. The views of the museum both in summer and winter are spectacular and it is very beautiful. The attention to the public is very good and the museum is interesting if you like Danish culture and history. However, I thought that the museum would be bigger. In 2-4 hours you can visit it completely.

The most entertaining well organized and thought through museum I’ve ever been at. Each room surprised us with the layout and interesting videos.

Impressive attraction! It is a great place both for adults and children, where you could spend all the day and have fun and educational activities. A jump into the history of humankind and many interactive things to explore and understand how humans have evolved. The ticket is valid for the whole day and you can exit and take a rest and then enter again the exhibition. The location is amazing, overlooking the forest and the sea. There is also a restaurant, serving tasty food and drinks with a great view of the park. Convenient bus connection from the city center to the museum in less then 30 minutes. Highly recommended!

One of the engaging and immersive museums that I've been too. This is definitely a must visit if you plan to go Aarhus. Take bus 18 from the main areas and its the final stop. Lots of interactive elements in the exhibitions and can easily spend 3-4 hours here. On Wednesday nights, this opena to 9pm! The famous Grauballe Man is interesting make sure you watch the documentary before hand and also the Vikings from the East has great history and replicas. Don't forget to go to the top to see the view! Highly recommend!

Still one of the best museums in the world both in terms of content and architecture. The bookshop is also magnificent. On this occasion we also visited the new "Rus" exhibition which brings together a lot of interesting items, the majority of which seem to be from Ukraine. Fascinating stuff.

Set in a lovely area about 30 minutes (by No 18 bus) outside the city. It catered well for English speakers and was really interesting in a typucal museum way, ie lots of: artifacts; written and audio information and some interesting animations. Very easy to get to as it's 1 end of the bus line. Travel note: we have rejsekorts (travel cards) bought in Copenhagen, which work here too, so if you plan to use buses and trains in Denmark, they're definitely worth getting

Interactive history. Definitely worth a visit once in a while. The permanent exhibition takes quite some time if you’re trying to follow the stories and timeline. We’ve also seen 3 of the main temporary ones that really impressed us: The Day Of The Dead, about Mexican (and international) traditions honoring/celebrating the lives of people no longer with us; Out of Chaos (from the Roman Empire to aprox. 600 AD) where, among others, we’ve seen some of the famous Romanian treasures (Closca cu Puii de Aur) and more recently about Egyptian life and death traditions. It is also kids-friendly, with lots of interactive stories or learn-by-playing points.

It's a museum of natural history and evolution. It's good for a one-time visit. I dislike it because it's not my vibe BUT my friend really enjoyed it so it's a subjective rating! It's got exhibitions about the Vikings era, religion, and anything in between.

This museum is fantastic. The presentation of the exhibition "The life of the dead* is very beautiful. The lighting, the atmosphere, the pieces, all very enjoyable. It made us talk about death with the children in a more spiritual meaning rather than the fear of losing someone. The question we got from them due to this exhibition were different than the normal "death" questions children normally have. 10/10! But we loved the stone age exhibition the most. The diorama's were so good, the story telling was well done, the presentation blew my mind. As an adult I was immerged in this world as well as our children. Bronze, Viking, middle ages were all very very well presented. The "keys" in the viking age is an interesting take to bring us the different stories. The mannequins are so life like it's almost scary. The price is good for the experience. Coffee, cola and four things to eat was the same price as tickets. A bit on the expensive side, but it was tasteful and good. Recommended for sure! Go if you have the chance! Our kids are 9 and 13 and did not want to go, we left with kids talking and talking and talking about all the things the museum presented.

Another very interesting museum if you like history and anthropology. History of mankind with a twist - including that of Aarhus during the Viking Age. The museum is divided into the different ages which you can enjoy. Just a few photos as teasers. Loads of outdoor space for children to run around as well. One of the few museums that have free lockers.

A really big and full museum. It has a huge collection of artifacts from Denmark, organised in chronological order on displays and exhibitions, starting from the stone age up to the medieval. You need about 2-3 hours to tour yourself around. In addition, a nice temporary exhibition was available for the collapse of the Roman empire due to the arrival of the people from the East "Out of chaos". Plan also for some extra time in order to check this brilliant building from the outside and especially explore the views that the roof garden provides.

Great place for tourists and children. Nice views across the harbour with seating and cafe to rest for tourists. and lots of children books and area for kids. Can get busy during the day. Lots of university students here studying.

Amazing modern building that’s very clean and spacious. If you have a booked appointment everything goes smoothly. The stuff are so kind and so helpful! Amazing office!

I highly recommend visiting this place if you're in Denmark. It has a great view to the harbour, the people are nice and it's great if you're coming with kids. Unfortunetly I didn't take photos when I was here, but make sure you do, because it's absolutely amazing. This gets a high place on "my top 10 favorite places in the world" list! 😁

Very beautiful architecture with several reading areas and Cafés. You have amazing views of the city and waterfront from the library. I can't comment the books as I don't speak Danish but I felt the foreign language books could have been a little more.

An extremely incredible building with so much technology uncluded, just like a automatic book return machine and an incredible car parking space. For students there are lots of coworking spaces in a really bright buiding. Stuff is super friendly and everything clean and just beautiful!

World class library. Fantastic architecture / design. Wonderful location right at the water. Several great spaces to read. Fast WLAN. Different games available. Events. Fine cafe with a fine variety of coffee and cookies.

The pictures don’t do it enough justice. One of the best libraries I have been especially with the play areas and children friendliness. The place was clean and had different activities to entertain children of all ages. I was very impressed by the stroller parking lot with the directional twist. I highly recommend this for families. We could have easily spent the whole day here

I would not recommend students in the library to come and study for their tests or exams. All people that try to concentrate and work try as much as possible to escape from the chaos and noise of the children. Despite there being designated children's areas, kids run around in the quiet study spaces and scream. There is very little respect for people that are actually working there. I've tried to work there a few times, as it has the potential to be a wonderful flexible workspace! Some days were better than others. But without clear rules, students might as well study at any random intersection in the city, where there will be less noise :)

Beautiful building right on the water. It's main floor is a library but also has much more. The architecture is quite stunning and is a focal point of the rejuvenation of the waterfront. Must see sight, especially for architecture buffs.

We took a ferry from Samso and headed to Aarhus. The ferry docked at Dokk1. Amazing building with a parking garage and a library in the building.

Apart from the fact that there is access to a wonderful library, study room, high-tech exhibitions, spaces where you can have a coffee with friends, underground parking, etc... for me, it is the most beautiful view of the sea.

Nice gardens. The fields were littered with trash probably from partying the night before. The greenhouses are really pleasant. They are free so there's no reason not to go.

This place is an old favourite. A real gem in Aarhus. Located in the botanical gardens, in a walking distance from the harbor and bordering on the old city. The entrance is free, there is a very reasonably priced cafeteria and shop inside. The greenhouses are heated and maintain a tropical and desert climate all year around. Beautifully built, there is a nice collection of plants on exhibition. The personnel at work there are students I believe, and so presumably knowledgeable. There is also an interactive app which we did not try yet. It's a beautiful and peaceful place to take a break from the hustle of town and a nice alternative option for a coffee meeting. Recommended with and without children.

This Greenhouse offers a view into many different plants from the corners of all over the world. I was amazed during my visit to observe all the great small and big plants as well as the butterflies 🦋. You definitely have to visit 😉 !

I am so happy that I found this place and decided to check it out. There are different sections of the greenhouses for plants from different regions of the world. There is also a butterfly garden with a structure that you can climb up. It was very hot and humid at the top so I only spent a few minutes up there but it was beautiful. I didn't try anything from the café. One of the best things about this place is that it was totally free! I would recommend anyone visiting Aarhus should check it out.

Extremely beautiful and well organised Greenhouses. You can find plants from all over the world inside. Especially, the "bubble" Greenhouse with the tropical plants and the flying butterflies is something unique. It worth a visit as you do not need more than 45min to tour yourself around. It is free to enter.

Great free activity to do with friends or family. A great garden for people in the Aarhus area to visit but it’s quite similar to any other botanical garden. It’s quite warm in the greenhouses so the free lockers came in handy.

Absolutely marvellous! The greenhouses and the park and maintained so well with a huge variety of plants. They have plants from all over the world as well as Danmark endemic. All signs and explanations are given also in English. And they provide more information using their App. Take the spiral staircase up into the tree house and enjoy the view. Lovely to have butterflies flying around you, there. Did I mention that it is absolutely free (no admission fee)? Nice coffee shop, too. Wow, what a great spot in Aarhus!

A small yet very cute greenhouse. They have a lot of interesting plants but I think my absolute favourite is the last room - it’s like a tropical forest, but with loads and loads of cute butterflies. It’s free to enter too, so there is no reason not to go!

Wonderful greenhouses full of unique plants from all over the world. The tropical biome is the star of the show. Entrance is free and they have lockers (also free) for bags and jackets.

Try to get inside the dome. It's free but the place is still very nice. There are butterflies flying around like you were in a real tropical forest. I like the way they arrange the space into different continents/countries as well. It's quite a nice place for kids to explore. The garden outside is also very very beautiful. In the summer, there are a lot of young people and families gathering here.

Nice deer park with free access and free parking up front. Just follow Google navigation to this point on the map, you can park in front of the gate. Nice for a walk. (From this parking it's also only a 5 minute walk towards the infinite bridge)

A great experience. We came here in late autumn, the air is cold but very fresh. My family was extremely excited. The deer herd is very friendly and lovely.

The park and the reindeer are beautiful. Entrance is free. Be very careful with the reindeer that if you have food on you they will chase you until you give it to them. Watch out for the antlered reindeer.

It is a fun place to visit and walk around. The deer, as I expected, are quite tame and used to people. This is also due to people feeding them which is not allowed, so they can come up to you to check you for food. The deer looked healthy and peaceful. Do make sure you park inside parking spots, because the police are checking.

We brought apples and gave lots of butt scratches! We definitely had to cut the apples into slices for them to eat. All of the pushy male deer are mostly at the front entrance, so wander towards the back of the park and you’ll find the calmer female deers and their babies. 💚

Love this park! It's quite small, but the deer are very friendly and they all come close to see if you have any food. Very nice to watch them and just walk around.

Special place. It is not only the fact you can get so close to the deers, it is also a really beatiful park. In addition, a small farm of pigs exists in one corner. You can feed the deers, but only with carrots or apples. No bread please!!!

one of my favorite places in Aarhus, wonderful views all around and you can bring some carrots to feed the deer, just be cautious and respectful towards the animals. Perfect place for a Sunday stroll and to spend time with family and friends. I would recommend to take your time to discover the entire region around the park also.

Don’t expect to touch them, they are still wild animals and not tame! If you don’t have a car, it’s a 15-20min walk from the nearest bus stop. Can visit the beach front by the deer park as well. Would recommend especially if deer is uncommon where you’re from!

There are some places in the Earth that you just forget the time, location and even yourself - just let the beauty, gorgeousness and simplicity of the nature capture you. This place is one of those rare and unique places that lets you to experience hugging a deer, feeding him with an apple! Deers are extremely friendly, don’t hesitate to come as a family. They come to you to look for, if you brought anything for them - so don’t forget to take some apples and carrots with you when you visit this remarkable and free entry park. It’s so easy to access by public transportation from the city center, but there is also a free parking lot. Have a nice detour around the park to reach out the Infinity Bridge which is another attraction point worth to see on your way back. If you happen to be in Aarhus, don’t miss this park - go there, make people go there :)

It's a really nice park with free entrance and parking. We were afraid there won't be many animals, but got to see deers right at the gate and then everywhere we went. A lot of them are very friendly and get really close to people. There's no fencing that prevents you from getting close to the deers which is really cool (just keep in mind if you're with children). Definitely worth a visit if you're around.

The park is indeed beautiful, however there's a lot of stories about the park having been shout down previously because unfortunately humans do not know how to behave and the animals have been aggressive 🤦 I went there today , they have signs everywhere saying not to feed the animals! However, there was still people feeding them, and they get way TOO close to the animals just to take a photo. Obviously, if they are getting too close of a baby deer, their mama or papa is going to be protective of their child. Just like us humans are with our kids! If you actually respect their own space, their will not do anything to you. And you can both co-exist in the same park!

Aarhus Cathedral (St. Clemens Church ) located at Store Torv and Bispetorv in Aarhus Center is the main church of Aarhus Diocese . The church has around 1200 seats, and the building, which is the longest and tallest church building in Denmark , is 93 meters long. The tower is 96 meters high, making it one of the tallest towers in Denmark . 😍

Beautiful old brick cathedral, the tallest church in Denmark. It's really high, you can see its tower while walking on the old city center. Also, the tower and church roof can be seen from Salling rooftop terrace. Church inside has nice paintings on the wall and a model of the ship hanging from the ceiling which traditionally can be seen in many Danish churches. The doors can be closed if some ceremonies like wedding are being held in the church.

Aarhus Cathedral is a Church of Denmark cathedral that was previously a part of the Roman Catholic church. The Gothic and Romanesque cathedral was completed in 1300 and dedicated to St. Clement, the patron saint of sailors. Construction of the church started around 1190. It was built around St. Clement's church, a timber church built in 1102. The Romanesque architectural style included half-rounded arches, a flat timber ceiling and four chapels. The cathedral suffered great damage in 1330 when a fire burned much of Aarhus. It was abandoned until 1449 when it was renovated and enlarged. The new design of the church used Gothic vaulting with high windows and a lengthened nave. It is now both the tallest and longest church in Denmark at 305 feet long and 315 feet high. The current, 314-foot tower was built in 1931. There are more frescoes in Aarhus Cathedral than in any church in the country. They were painted between 1470 and 1520. Likewise, the painting of St. Christopher and St. Clement are the tallest in Denmark. The cathedral's one stained glass window was created by Emanuel Vigeland in 1926. At almost 46-feet tall, it is the largest stained glass window in Denmark.

The longest and the tallest (so the biggest) church in Denmark. Nice piece of frescoes..where you can see medieval danish paintings. Although just a few frescoes, it is also the church with the most SQM of paintings in Denmark . It has the biggest stained glass..14 m tall..made by norvegian artist Vigeland (see the Vigeland park in Oslo )

As always having a great time visiting Musikhuset whether it's to see a show or going to a koncert. All personel I interacted with was friendly and very forthcoming.

Great place. The symphony I saw was fantastic. The choir sounded excellent, the orchestra knew their business, and the solo artists were absolutely gorgeous. The chairs in "Symfonisk Sal" weren't the best. Comfortable, but not sturdy enough. If you want to eat at their restaurant, make sure to reserve a table in advance

One of the best place's in Aarhus to enjoy a good show! Musikhuset have a great stage and some top level musicians performing.

This location is fascinating, I've been attending a classical music concert. I had a wonderful experience, the acoustics are amazing in the music hall. The tickets had reasonable prices, iven fairly cheap I would say.

I simply adore how this city provides art and entertainment without economic restrictions. Culture must be accessible to everyone, and Denmark has made sure all of us get this chance to enjoy beautiful things in places like the musikhuset. Tak 🇩🇰♥️🎼

The Simon & Garfunkel Story - another wonderful evening in Musikhuset! We had great seats at the side balcony, sound was near perfect, «VIP bar» during the break with wine and snacks (cost DKK 65,- per person and is be bought in advance) and a chance to have a quick chat with the two main performers after the show. And what a show... great singers in front of three excellent musicians! All staying true to the original songs and telling the story of Paul and Art in between the classic songs - a magic trip back through the '60s and '70s, accompanied by video collages adding context and depth to the intelligent lyrics of Simon & Garfunkel. An evening absolutely well spent :-)

I've been here to watch a Jazz performance on a weekend. Cool place. 👍 If it's a sunny day you'd definitely like to sit outside around the pool watching ducks while sipping your coffee and eating your breakfast. Yes they have a good caffe inside. 👍

Used the toilets. Real nice, clean. Jazz was playing, great atmosphere. A bit empty at the time, giving it a surreal feeling. Lights were on, but no sound other than the speaker jazz. Very good

Christmas season, beautiful lightning. The indoor activities can really be upgrade with a bit modern or fun stuff to attract more people in the cool season or raining day. The indoor haunted house and the 5D movie is exactly the same technology with the meaningless shooting that is not fun at all in my opinion. They can make the 5D to something really great ,consider nowadays all theme park have those beautiful 5D , rather than shooting the zombie with blurry quality. the haunted house is also super lame. The indoor illusion is also Meh.. outdoor game is few close down without notice in the website or front gate. The only thing good in this season is, less queue for every other thing that is not so fun

Lots of good rides. You need atleast 2 hours to properly get your money's worth. You could spend 4 or 5 hours. There's more than enough to do and so little or no queues

Wet, cold and bored stiff. The kids had fun though. Not many places to seek cover when pouring with rain so end up spending a fortune on coffee.

Great fun, clean and organised

The entrance tickets are 175 dkk. If you want to ride the rides, you have to buy a turbånd which lets you ride how many times you like on the rides. If you dont have the turbånd you have to pay around 20 dkk to 100 dkk on mobile pay depending on the rides. Personal experience. I had a very nice time there the rides were very fun and fast. The workers are nice. But some of the rides did not feel safe like the fareeswheel did not feel safe. When it was at the top, it started shaking a lot it felt like the thing was about to fall over. The food is very expensive. I bought a small pita with kebab. The price was 78 dkk. I saw 1 person fainted after going on one of the tallest rides in the park

A young man named Sebastian was really helpful in guiding on which ticket would suit me best. It was only £35 (295dkk) to enter with access to all rides expect Sky Tower. Fun place for adults and kids

Beautiful decorated park with lovely rides for young and old. The park is well maintained and despite the some what older attractions still more than enjoyable. The admission fee is relatively high for what you get back in return. We got the admission to the park plus all rides, just to figure out that for example ice skating you still needed to pay extra. There are plenty of food stands available throughout the park but please be prepared to pay a very high price. The food stalls are mainly manned by local businesses such as farmers who are selling there own produce. Staff is absolutely friendly and helpful where needed. Toilets are disgusting and should be cleaned far more often. If we look at the fun we had as a family it was well worth it. We really enjoyed it and time flew by despites being in the park for 6.5 hrs! Parking is available almost next to the park and is free of charge.

This place does not deserve any good feed-back. - No parking slot available, just follow people and hid the car back in the forest. - Attractions are managed by understaffed student assistants trying their best. - Park decoration is low quality, cheap repairs everywhere, etc… Not to do again.

Nice to visit with children. There are plenty of attractions for different ages. They have a slightly hard to understand ticket system but we bought an annual card and don't regret it.

It's a beautiful place, there is a variety of attractions for kids and for everyone. Because there are a lot of kids, smoking should be forbidden! It is not pleasant for kids walking around and see and smell cigarette. An action must be taken, forbidden or placing smoking areas

there is so much soul in this Cinnema. I really recommend taking the time to see an event or film here. Or even just step in a take a cup of coffee or a glass of wine. Just enjoy.

Great place to have a drink and see a movie

Awesome movie experience, not very packed, very quaint authentic viewing experience. In my opinion is the best place to watch a movie in aarhus. 100% recommended.

Best Cinema in Denmark. When we visit Århus, we always find time for a movie or two in the best cinema. They always have many super good movies. Also the slow ones (in the good way). And then have a coffee or a glass of wine in the cozy bar.

A cinema filled with character and great movies. The location offers a wide variety of films, in their origianl languages, non the less. The theatres are, from what I could discern from two visits, quite different, each with good audio and visuals. This is a definite visit if you are a movie buff and are visiting Århus. It is also easy to get to by using one of the municipal buses.

Viking Museum is a treasure trove of historical information. The entrance is easy to miss at the moment due to the renovation and lift partially obscuring the entrance. We happened to stumble on the sign posted outside welcoming to The Viking Museum. The museum is steps away from the Sankt Clemens Torv cathedral and offers a window into Aarhus' past. Found during excavation, there are four homes (huts) that were carefully extracted during an archeological dig since the mid-1990s. Some artifacts go back thousands of years and rightfully so. One can imagine the shoreline and past lives through the informative displays. Fee is 30K pp and children are free. Stop into the Viking Museum and support Aros historical society and Moesgård Museum.

Even though it is a small place - you will not be more than 45 minutes there - and it is not a large exhibition, the fact that the museum is set exactly where items were found adds a note of excitement and interest to the place. Still, more things about the religion or Vikings' set of beliefs can be said.

Small but very interesting exhibition about the vikings, exactly in the heart of the city. Good choice for all the family, from little kids to adults. Max 1 hour to see. The price is very low: 30kr/adult, under 17y is free! Absolutly correct!

This place can be hard to miss as it's an anonymous door with a sign outside and the top is like a building site. Only stairs down to the room. It is more like a one room exhibition rather than an actual museum. Price was DKK30 but ticket machine was broken at the time so did not pay anything. A good initial setup but needs to be larger.

It’s a one room museum located in basement. At first it looks really small but it’s really informative. If you are a tourist and really want to know about the history of Aarhus and Viking, this is the place ! (At least expect 2-4 hours if you really into history)

Small museum tucked away at the Domkirke plaza. Very informative about Aarhus at the viking age, with some interactive media installations. Visitor regulated entrance fee does not work that well though, as foreign tourists might have problems paying the small entrance fee.

Excellent museum on the 5 Viking ships discovered in the harbour and now have replicas rebuilt. Very hands on museum based on Viking shipbuilding. Can actually go on a short trip on one of the rebuilt Viking ships. A lot of great information also available in English. Many photos and descriptions and an area where you can dress up as a Viking on go on a “Viking Ship” for photos. More a museum about Viking boats than Viking history or legacy. Best to go early as it gets busy near noon. Food available on site in the cafe or next door in tree restaurant. Lots of free parking and close to the centre of town.

The coolest part about the museum is that it takes you down to the elevation below ground where they founf the artifacts. It's also nice that's it's self guided and you can easily walk through in 37 minutes and read everything. There is a self pay kiosk Great little stop if you're in and around the area on business looking for 300 foot long biscuit ovens from Senius to replace your old ovens.

Incredible. The best thing we did in Stockholm. I had my doubts about whether a museum dedicated to one ship could really be all that great but it was amazing. A must see in Stockholm. Arrive early!!

Hard to locate as it is next to a building being renovated. You have to see this as a precursor to the Moesgaard Museum we thats what it is for the Viking Age. Fairly small but great information.

Small museum but well organised. An archaeological dig of the Bishop's Square in the 1960s uncovered many items from the Viking Age and they are now displayed inside this place. You can spend around half an hour or more to guide yourself around. The museum is on a basement of a building under refurbishment. Even the ground entrance looks like you are entering a construction site, but do not hesitate. Just follow the signs, go down the stairs and you are there.

Aarhus Town Hall, built between 1938 and 1941 and designed by Arne Jacobsen and Erik Møller, is one of the best examples of Danish functionalism. The architects designed all aspects of the town hall, from the clock tower and stairwells, down to the smallest details, such as door handles and keyholes.

Arne Jacobsen did an amazing representation of functionalism on this one. Really an iconic building inside and out.

Nice playground and a lot of space for picnic. Also, an outdoor gym for enthusiast, while your kids are at the playground. On the downside, it gets crowded on holidays, and there is no convenient parking nearby.

Pays very good memory those who have fallen in WWI. It's a beautiful place and it's always in very good condition. Has a lot of space to either walk around between a bunch of trees or have a lunch during the summer days. Very nice place to go to spend some spare time.

So close to the city, but feels like you are in another world. The view here is fantastic with the woods, sea and the castle. Also the "mindelund" is both impressive and also "just" part of the area. Just as the memories of the people that gave all is embedded in the world we live in, the "lund" is embedded into the park. Very natural. Do it, take the walk, feel the nature, see the area and let it fill you up.

Nice place to hang out and relax. It's a big park so it's always possible to find a free spot, although there are many people when the weather is good. The playground can, however, be well stocked. There are beautiful cherry trees and memorial monument to World War II soldiers.
