This is a must see location if you are within 100 miles. Strasbourg the old city is just incredible for old buildings and interesting sites. The Cathedral is very impressive from the outside and the inside is just Great. The altar and the backdrop are very well done. The stained glass is amazing as well. I walked to the top of the Cathedral and highly recommend doing this if you can. Great views and interesting views of the Cathedral as you climb.

Absolutely beautiful! There is an amazing clock in the back right corner that does a little something every 15 minutes. It’s not amazing but it’s cute and fun to see if you’re around. The gift shop was great and some good finds for good prices. The nativity scene inside was absolutely gorgeous!

This was a beautiful cathedral in a beautiful city. Had such a great time. There is a little train right outside that you can take for 8 euro that will give you a tour of the petite France area.

Came over from offenburg Germany. It was a short drive. It was on a French holiday so I think it was extra busy. The cathedral was very pretty. You could walk around on your own. There was no English translations quite. If you get an app on your phone you can just shine it on the signs and it'll read it in English for you. It was a recording picking on every now and then to ask us to shush. Although I don't think we were being loud, the crowd was in the church at that time.

I was surprised to discover that this is also a beautiful cathedral. It is not that far from the one in Paris. The line to get in (on the left of the front side) is for free but can get very long. The line for going up to the tower (on the right side) has a cost. Definitely recommended!

Very impressive cathedral. It is breathtaking to look up and realize how small we are. It is a very historical cathedral and 142 m high. It is for free to go up the stairs. The view has to be amazing. Unfortunately the queue on weekends especially sundays is too long. But the city has a very nice atmosphere. I liked and enjoyed it a lot.

I waited for maybe a minute to get inside and did not have to pay. Niece inside you are free to walk around within the designated areas. A wonderful cathedral, truly a work of art in every way. Entrance is free into the church, but a ticket of 8.5 euro to take the stairs up - which you must do, the views are spectacular {approx 300 steps up and 300 down, on a spiral staircase}. The clock at the back is a marvel to behold, from the 16th century. The church area is peaceful, take some time to sit and reflect no matter your religion.

It’s a Saturday and there were many people around the square. Part of the Cathedral is under renovation, yet we still managed to see the major parts of the building. The most conspicuous building in Strasbourg. It’s full of beauty and historical charm. There are lots things to see - external decorations, climbing to the top to have a great view of the city, internal decorations and carpets. Finally there is the Astronomical clock inside. The history of the cathedral reflects the history of the city which is breathtaking. In front of the church you can find lots of Noel markets in the holiday season in winter.

Amazing place where you can take a walk with your family, children have many possibilities to have fun. There are a few different playgrounds, where kids can play in a different ways and explore different things. I loved it . We had an amazing afternoon there. Even in beggining of April , when it was raining, it was beautiful.

Lovely park near the city center and next to the European Parliament. It has very nice gardens to relax, a playground for children to play, toilets near a free car park, a small zoo. You can also find a café and a bowling alley right next to the car park.

Beautiful space to roam and play with kids. We came here on the hottest day of the summer (100 degrees F* on a June Sunday) and still enjoyed ourselves. We went to the pond, mechanic car kids track, the zoo, the fountain by the manor, and the playground and were sad to leave. Definitely worth a trip here if you’re in the area! Enjoy the storks, as the park is a reservation for them.

This park is a bit outside the city. Perfect for just having a drink or a small picnic by the pond maybe feed the ducks too they're extremely friendly. There was a marathon and a festival type of thing going on in the park too so check before you go

Very well maintained garden with plenty of room to explore! This place is great for an afternoon stroll or picnic. They have tons of gardens to admire as well as ponds with lots of birds. Not just for walking we saw lots of people on their bicycles enjoying the grounds! Highly recommend and will visit again!

One of the most magnificent parks that I have ever been too, if not THE most. The park itself is massive and has so much to offer. Lots of places to picnic, playgrounds, ponds and areas to boat. The flower gardens were my favorite and the storks of course! This is a must if you’re in the area. My only advice is to wear shoes/clothes you feel comfortable getting dirty because the paths aren’t paved, so it can get very dusty especially if there is a bit of wind.

A good place to see the city from a higher place, but to be honest I was a bit disappointed as I expected a better hight. Nevertheless, you can see the Petite France, the Covered Bridge and in between the towers the Notre Dame Cathedral of Strasbourg. We got lucky with a sunny day.

Barrage Vauban also named as Vauban Dam. It was erected in 17th century on the River Ill. The barrage has 13 arches and is 120 metres (390 ft) in length. The viewing terrace on its roof, with views of the earlier Ponts Couverts bridges and Petite France quarter. It is now a historical monument.

Absolutely a must when you're in Strasbourg. The view of the town from the barrage is spectacular. Photos won't do justice.

With a cool history it also provides a great location to take breathtaking pictures. It provides the convenience to walk or take a bike inside the barrage and also one can climb the terrace for a good view. It has both lift and stairs to go to the terrace.

This is quite a relaxing place to enjoy in Strasbourg. Although it’s quite a historical dam, defense system built in the 17th century, and a short walk from the busier La Petit France, this area is a bit quieter and perfect for a stroll or sitting down on the benches and enjoying the serenity surrounding this area. There are several cafes and restaurants nearby as well. You could also take the boat rides along the river Ill (if you had the time) that goes around this area.

We just bought two tickets for the train from the Gare Centrale to Innsbruck with two bikes, in total 232 euro. In the train in Basel it appears the two tickets we recieved are onle for persons and not for the bikes. So we had to pay an extra amount of 28,- euro for the bikes. We do have another transfer, so therefore we have to buy another ticket for the bike. The woman behind the counter didn't speak good English and she was very impatiant. Very interesting museum with lots of artifacts providing a vivid glimpse of life in older Alsace. A slight downside was the shortage of audio guides when we arrived. This limited the information to mostly French and German but still provided an interesting experience. Maybe get there early for a guide in English.

I went on the first Sunday of the month (which made it free) and I found it interesting, but had I paid to get in I don’t feel it would have been a good use of money. There is lots of information on how people in the city used to live with 26 set areas you can walk through. If you like very educational museums this may be for you.

Very informative museum by the banks of the river Ill about everything of importance in Alsatian history. Each room is dedicated to a different facet of Alsatian home and business life. It also includes good information about the various religious communities and practices present in Alsace for centuries, first Christianity and Judaism, and then later the split of Christianity into Catholic, Protestant, and Lutheran factions, with Strasbourg also being a center of the Reformation. The museum is spread out over three old houses and many storeys with balconies and courtyards. It was a pleasure to explore it all.

My recent visit to the European Parliament in Strasbourg was incredible. I felt like I was really able to get an idea of the EU's inner workings. Before visiting, I was not aware of the sheer size of the Parliament, but their impressive building and impressive site was truly inspiring. The tour guide was incredible - he was not only knowledgeable but also passionate about teaching us about the institution. I learned so much from the tour and managed to understand the complexities of the inner workings of the EU. I was also lucky to be able to witness a live session between the European parliamentarians. It was an incredibly interesting experience and I learned a lot about how decisions are made and the processes that the EU go through to pass laws. In short, my trip to the European Parliament was an unforgettable experience. I highly recommend a visit to anyone who wants to understand the European Union better.

Known as the capital of Christmas Markets in the world! Hard to dispute this claim after seeing the magnitude of this market. The location is one of the most beautifully kept historical homes within a modern city. The colors, architecture and full on display of French and German influence is overwhelming, you just don't know where to look and what to admire first. The Christmas Market is massive, connecting several neighborhoods into this continuous display of hand crafters merchandise, local foods, hot wine and cider. This is a must visit city regardless of the season, we will come back again!

The tree is everything you want it to be! The marche itself has fallen into industrial commercialized products and doesn’t sell as much handmade stuff which is so sad :( The best area is right near the tree where they have charity booths where you can purchase items the are made by organizations to support different causes.

This beautiful spacious square is named after Jean-Baptiste Kléber who was a French general during French revolutionary wars. He was also a very talented architect and designed a number of buildings at that time. He was assasinated in 1800 in Cairo while accompanying Napoleon Bonapart in the Egyptian Campaign. Went here for Christmas market, is not as cool as one right next to the Cathedral but does have access to a clean public bathroom (which Cathedral one lacks, just has porta potties) that many will probably need after beers ha ha. It is located at the street entrance from tram tracks.

It is especially beautiful and astonishing to look at during the night when everything is lit up and illuminated. The food stands offer a very wide variety of food to eat and to taste and everything was very delicious as well as affordable. I definitely recommend spaetzle with sausage or chicken and mushroom as well as the crepes and waffles. I recommend as well tasting their warm red wines or fruit juices, they are very heart warming.

The Christmas market was one of the most beautiful I have ever seen.

Visited as a tourist just before Christmas so the whole vibe was very festive. The buildings were tastefully lit up.

So beautiful and spacious! A lots o store cafe and restaurants near by.

Always a nice place to visit. They have traditional decoration such as wood and rotin type of very old style, yet gorgeous, items, or the nostalgic Swedish candle mill in brass. They also have more modern style items, so it pleases everyone.

Amazing place! Beatifull art artifacts and playground for eyes. We spend there hours even with small children. Sometimes hard to get them far from interesting objects or pictures. Recommend to every visitor of this beautiful city 🌆. Enjoy. Restaurant included. If you want to spend whole day there, you can.

If you're a bit into art or just have an interest it's definately worth going there! the entee fee was only 3.50€ for students, for adults it's 7.00€ which still is good prize-value in my oppinion. You can spent half a day there since there are quite many rooms. Interesting place to visit if you're doing a trip trough strasbourg :)

Great place for nice, artsy afternoon. We came to the museum on a very warm day (>35°C), as we wanted to take advantage of high ceilings and air-conditioning. But then the art inside was really nice and truly inspired us. We had a great afternoon. Strongly recommended👍

Beautiful big building with amazing view of the city. Not crowded and staff was friendly. We needed two hours coffee break included to enjoy the works of art. Mostly everything in French but thank God for Google translate! No audio guides available.

The main reason why i wanted to visit the strasbourg museum of contemporary art is mainly because it is the home of some works of picasso, pissarro and monet. It was definitely nice seeing these but a little disappointed because everything is in french, no english. Even the brochures are all in french. Tourists and art enthuciasts would probably appreciate it more if there are english translation on some of the famous works,or even just the english name of each exhibit title. Not a lot of people visiting, so you may just purchase the ticket on site.

A great collection of modern artworks and is very well curated. Their permanent collection is categorized into 12 topics and you'd find masterpieces of Kandinsky, Brauner and Picasso. They also had a special exhibition on Surrealism on the topic of Alice in Wonderland which was fantastic. I enjoyed my visit very much and can only recommend it!

A historical monument constructed in 12th century. Beautifully landscaped and you can walk along the pebble streets to Petitie France. Many people sitting by the riverside and the park nearby during the weekend. The scenery is Simply breathtaking

One of the historical landmarks in Strasbourg showcasing the stone bridges from medieval era beautifully paved with the pebble stones and accompanied by four towers. The house right next to the bridge is a treat to the camera lens. A good place with lots of good photo opportunities which includes; Barrage Varunan in the backdrop with the river silently flowing from beneath. This is definitely a magnificent piece of gem in Strasbourg’s rich architectural heritage.

Nice bridge and tower. They definitely stand out as it's an ancient construction close to modern buildings. It kind of marks the beginning/end of the historical center.

Not covered anymore, but the bridges are lovely, very clean, and they'll provide you with stunning pictures of Strasbourg. Highly recommend a walk by, and a stop for a drink on sunny days at one of the restaurants by the water.

This set of 3 bridges and 4 towers was a part of the city defenses in the 13th century. The bridges used to be covered by wooden roof that was removed later. The Covered Bridges lost their military importance when Vauban Dam was built in the 17th century.

Have a look at the towers at Pont Couverts, there are a few information boards if you don't know the history of this area and the defensive role they played many years ago.

Magnificent. It was such a hot day. But on the bridge the wild summer wind made me feel better. I recommend firstly to read the history about this place and only then enjoy the landscape.

A beautifully designed spot with overarching bridges. It overlooks the river which makes it an ideal place for dining or simply resting. The best perk, it acts as a wedding photoshoot hotspot 🤩 in my 1 hour visit, 2 weddings were shot here ❤️

Amazing tourist attractions, streets you will like walking, many restaurants, churches, shopping place around, you can even take a boat for a short ride, timings are very odd for everything have their own timing specially for restaurants must check before you go if they open or available

The Ponts Couverts are a set of three bridges and four towers that make up a defensive work erected in the 13th century on the River Ill in the city of Strasbourg in France. The three bridges cross the four river channels of the River Ill that flow through Strasbourg's historic Petite France quarter. Perfect area to do sightseeing. The Vauban Dam is visible right in front. A route of Petite France-Ponts Couverts-Vauban Dam would be of a good choice.

Really interesting museum, with inspiring historical objects and entertaining installments. There's a beautiful model of the city of Strasbourg at the second floor. Staff members at the entrance were kinda cold tho. Overall beautiful experience

What a cozy place. It walks you through the city history and shares the most relevant information. After visiting you would be able to understand the historical path of the city and its not really mild destiny. There is a huge layout / model of Strasbourg of the 17th century. Breathtaking. There are also some interactive elements like helmets you can put on. If you have some time and want to get known with the city you’re in it’s the best museum to start with. Obtain a city pass it gives a discount.

Great museum, really interesting displays. It was a pity though that the audio guides were not working when we went (on a previous visit, we had used the audio guides and found them very good). I am wondering why the section about Jews in Strasbourg was relatively short. I would have liked to learn more about their history in this city. It wasn't made clear what happened to those who were evacuated to the Dordogne at the start of the second world war.

If you want to discover deeper history of Strasbourg this museum has the complete collection from the early ages to modern period is worth the visit.

A good museum with large exposition, interesting interior and interactive things. One of the best in Strasbourg. Strongly recommend to buy a day ticket to the city museums (16€ for the whole day via 7.5 per one museum), it gives a possibility to visit nearby museums in several minutes proximity (6 at least in the very center).

A fair price and lots of information to take in, but personally I found this museum quite dry. It's a lot of text and things to look at and not much else. Perhaps I should have gotten the audio guide but there was very minimal interactivity, not for everyone. I hoped to understand more clearly how and when Alsace changed nationalities but I unfortunately didn't get a good sense of this as there was so much information to take in between exhibits, the context of the high level ownership was lost in the details, for me.

Fascinating history of Strasbourg generally from the dark ages through the formation of the European Union. Focus on education with hands-on, love putting the metal helmet on and taking a picture. Enjoyed the era from the Franco Prussian war through the first and second world wars. Much to learn about that. Nothing to speak of from the Bronze Age or Roman age. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Remember to take your earbuds if you want a free audio tour.

I visited the place in a day when the entrance was free. I enjoyed the collection and information, though not very extensive, it was very well displayed and stretched over two floors. Lovely unique pieces of collection, worth the visit!

An excellent and well put together museum. Headphones automatically prompt you to the display in front of you. Very English friendly. Paints an amazing picture about the history of Strasbourg. From oil paintings of monarchies to videos of World War II...with interactivity everywhere. Our only regret is we did plan our day well and didn't have enough time. But do not miss this if you have any interest in European history. Need at least three hours to visit this properly.

Decent entertainment for kids up to twelve years old, I'd say. Plenty of interactive and explorative exhibts, loads of space and overall very clean. Nice outside area as well.

We had such a great time here and will definitely be back! If you buy a subscription the same day you come, they'll reimburse your entry. You can bring food and eat it there, but the café doesn't offer much. The website says ideal for 2 and up but my almost one-year-old had a blast.

This is a cute children’s museum. It is not very big, but it is also priced appropriately. Our children (4 and 7) both enjoyed the museum. We stayed about an hour and a half. They also have a garden area however we did not go outside because it was too cold out.

Great experience lots to do and interact with. We spent 5 hours and our son needed more time. For kids 5+ years you pay the adult price of 8€. There is a picnic area fully equipped with a sink etc where you can eat food brought with you. There is a cafeteria with sandwiches and drinks and sweets. There are lockers inside the playroom and outside at the reception to keep your belongings having free hands to play

Awesome place, very suitable for children age 2-10 with loads of things to discover. Can spend the whole day there. Recommend to bring own food as cafeteria selection is a bit poor.

Absolutely wonderful interactive science museum targeting kids age 4-12. I highly recommend it.

A place where the kids can play and explore. However, some of the equipment are broken, damaged and were not maintained and repaired. There is a garden at the back but not much things to do. For the price that you pay (27€ per family) you cannot enter again once you went out. You also cannot bring your own food. You have to eat at the cafe and left without much choice of food while it is very expensive. They prohibited outside food so that the cafe can make money. But sometimes, kids have their own preferences and not all the food that were offered there suit kids diet. We brought our own food, but we cannot eat it inside. Once we go it to eat our lunch, you cannot enter it again so the day is over. Our kids have to play while starving, because they are hungry but they still want to play inside. There is other better science museum elsewhere, with a lot of good toys and activities where we can spenf whole day and bring our own food for lunch. I won't recommend coming here and I will never go here again.

Very nice place for kids. It’s a bit smaller than similar science museums like Muzeiko in Sofia or Explora in Rome,but it’s definitely worth the visit. The things that can be better are the gift shop - we wanted to get some merchandise but there were very limited options.

This is the best option for kids from 2 up to 8y.o. in Strasbourg. My children spent happy three hours there. It is very good organised, all corner are to play an interactive games, including robots. The space is clean, there is a garden outside. The entrance cost could be less, cause there is no animators, so parents have to explain and entertain their children by themselves and pay more than it really costs. Also, it became hot inside, suppose no air conditioners in same places. At the cafeteria, we expected to have breakfast or lunch, but there wasn’t any good menu options. However, drinks were provided on big glasses👍 Movies were provided at the cinema, but we couldn’t watch it, cause too long to wait it’s started time.

The museum is very good, lots to do. However it was confusing to see that children toilet only had walls between toilets seats without a door. My daughter went to the children toilet by herself and when she came out she was very upset. She said that two little kids (a boy and a girl) were watching her while she was doing her business and they were laughing at her. It’s very good that kids have they own toilet to teach them independence ,however how hard it is to have a door for each cabin instead of just a wall? Everyone should have the right to privacy.

Very nice museum with lots of activities, can spend half a day here easy. It's good for young kids as well, but the best parts are the mind games for kids a little older. We've been here for 3 hours with 3 kids ages 2,4,7 and they enjoyed it a lot. Also, not expensive, and good cafeteria.

Very good scientific museum for children (approx. 4 to 10 years). We loved especially the part with the puzzles ("The woods"). Very clean and everything is made to enhance your knowledge and to interact with it. French and German descriptions everywhere. Comme il faut. Perfect place for a nice day with the kids.

A great place to take your kids to, even the younger ones. Although the place isn't, as described, a museum as much as a playground where kids can play and experiment with toys and installations not available at home or traditional playground, there are plenty of things to discover in thematically arranged areas. There is a certain educational aspect to the play installations, but don't expect in-depth educational information. Notwithstanding, and though we were there only shortly, our two-year-old loved it, and we'll certainly have to come back another time to discover the other parts of the "museum"!
