The best thing about this museum is the design of the museum itself. Very impressive building. There were a few really nice pieces and the majority of the pieces were too modern for my taste. But when in Bilbao... Just pay a visit. You can go through the museum in 1,5 hours if time is an issue

Universal accessibility could have been better in terms of signs to the restaurant and back, but if you ask for help, you’ll get it. Definitely a place to visit, you don’t have to be a self proclaimed art lover to appreciate the Guggenheim. They’ve got modern, contemporary stuff, but also great engineering and figurative art. Even walking around outside is wonderful, and I’d say it’s enough to tick the bucket list if you’re a jet setter, but do pop in if you’ve got the time. No regrets. The gift store has a few cool gadgets, too! We ate at the bistro. Great service, weird seating, a bit pricey, but what do you expect… Very tasty food, and all the more energy to continue enjoying the museum and whatever comes next! Recommended as well.

Such a beautiful architecture and modern art! It was the first attraction I’ve booked before going to Bilbao. I was impressed by the design and grandeur of the art around the museum and of the building itself. There is a bit of wait for the light room but it’s definitely a must! Couldn’t recommend this more. 5/5

The building was already amazing on the outside, but love to walk through it too. The exhibitions were quite diverse, so I like some of it. However, other things did not fully suit my taste. Currently the second floor is not open, so a 1 hour visit was all we needed. Luckily the tickets were relatively cheap. Definitely worth a visit!

The place that deserves to be visited at any time of the year. The architecture is amazing and unique. The exhibitions are of different authors and certain periods. Through the QR code, you can enter the application and benefit from an audio guide in all halls and galleries.

A fascinating museum of contemporary art. Seeing him live is a special experience. The facade of the golden reflection is surprisingly live. Artworks of huge sizes approach the scale of a huge space and work fascinatingly. You can also view the building from the bridge above, where it works particularly fascinatingly and where the sculptural architecture comes to life in its entirety. Contemporary art becomes much more interesting in such an object

Wonderful collection of art. Just as great as seeing the art inside is taking in the architecture of the building itself and the grounds surrounding. There is a bridge right next to it that has been painted by artists it's a great place to get some photos of the city and river.

Came here on a Monday Morning. It was relatively empty. No wait, got tickets and in we went. The top floor was closed for construction, so had to knock them down a star. Shouldn’t charge full price if 1/3rd of the museum isn’t open. Some cool exhibits. Ours was all cars themed, so worked for us. I would not recommend traveling a long distance for this museum. But it was fun regardless of the long trek.

An amazing museum, the building itself is a piece of art. The exhibits are displayed to great effect with plenty of room for viewing each picture. The Time structures were my personal favourites, it's rare to find something so massive inside, weird feelings of distorted volume, space and time when walking through them.

It has the name but does not live up to its fame. The architecture from the outside is beautiful. On the inside it is quite plain and cold. The collection is disappointing for a museum like this and you have to get in a virtual waiting line to visit the infinity mirrored room which takes forever. I suggest go scan the QR first (on the 3rd, visit the 2nd and 3rf floor and probably then it will be your turn for 1 minute in the room. The staff is without exception unfriendly, uncaring or uninterested at best. The cloak room is a mess, they better install lockers. Of you buy your ticket online you will save 2 euros. You can most usually do this for a time slot only 15 minutes after buying.

Amazing experience. Visit and walking around the gigantic museum, experiencing all the shades and reflections depending on the weather of Bilbao is an experience. As well as visiting the different exhibitions continuously researched by the Museum. The ground floor with the steel curves from Serra is a must see, no space could better fit the dynamics of the art.

Frankly speaking disappointing. Great building with terrible finishing. Walls and floors are badly done. I must admit that modern art is something I do not understand. Whole level devoted to Picasso is something. I'd say the place is spacious with interesting gift shop.

I supposed everything that needs to be said about this iconic building is said. I must admit after reading and seeing pictures of the Guggenheim remotely, I set the bar too high. That said, it is still an overwhelming sight. I am just glad I am able to see it in person. If you come to Bilbao, a big part of that decision is because you want to see this. And the exhibits if they are to your taste.

This one is very hyped up so when you go, you go with expectations. The ticket is not expensive. The building is an architectural wonder. The exhibitions were not as impactful or wonderful for us, to be honest. Some of the sculptures, unless made by Picasso, who would care about them? Lots of space hard to fill, you walk and walk without purpose. Quite nice outside actually. The shop is overpriced massively.

I love the architectural structure of the building more than many of the art works being displayed there. The museum is very managed and it is safe. The workers are very polite and kind. I love Puppy and all the monuments outside the museum, I also love that you have enough space to sit and rest from touring the city before or after going into the museum. I really love Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, Spain.

Unique shaping and design defines this museum at the heart of Bilbao. It is tidy, clean, spacious and with good indications. It changes the content to be displayed. On-line booking is cheaper than on-site. <18 years old do not pay. Prices are ok. Unlike other museums in the basque country, child-entertainment not available: you need to entertain yourself your kids while walking the museum 😅

Just wow! The Guggenheim one is the most stunning museums I have ever visited, and probably one of the best in the world. The outside of the museum is incredibly beautiful, and you can easily spend the entire day just admiring the intricacies, details, and thought put into the architecture. The artwork featured inside the museum is relevant, thought provoking, and equally beautiful. I highly recommend this place! We didn’t have any trouble buying tickets at the door, however we went on a weekday so that was probably why. If you are going during high season (in the summer) you should probably consider purchasing your ticket in advance. :)

Not a fan of modern art but loved the museum. Incredible architecture, make sure you walk around the outside. Very interesting exhibits, some immersive. Wide variety of art. Recommend taking a guided tour to make the visit more efficient and meaningful. Buy tickets in advance. Eat in old town afterward.

Amazing architecture. I am not a modern art lover but that piece with caps amazed me. The story behind it what artist thought. Just amazing. You can get your tickets online and there won't be a que for you :). Normally there is.

Modern art just doesn’t interest me personally. Very glad that I visited the museum, but wouldn’t get tickets to go back inside. The architecture of the building along with the outdoor sculptures on the other hand were very impressive. If you’re not into modern art I’d definitely recommend visiting the Guggenheim from the outside.

The place is massive and beautiful with lots of sculptures and arts. Inside the museum is a bar and bistro, where you can get a bite and have a rest. Near the spider sculpture, a lady that takes beautiful pictures of you in an old fashioned newspaper cover p kinda print out, set up a stand there, anyone going there should definitely get their pictures taken by her.

My visit to the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao was a unique and inspiring experience. From the moment I saw the majestic curvilinear architecture of the building, I knew I was about to immerse myself in an exceptional world of art. As I stepped inside, I marveled at the diversity and ingenuity of the exhibits.

This building is impressive. I enjoyed time there. Outside area is also cool. Reserve 2h for a visit there, you will not regret. Tickets are pretty cheap and usually available

Beyond the exhibitions, the museum itself is a city landmark. There's no other way to put this, it has become the landmark of the city even more than the hanging bridge itself. The park that surrounds the museum is also gorgeous. The exhibitions are another thing; you can be lucky or not.

So I don’t know where to start! The building itself from outside is gorgeous fabulous!! The area around is pretty and peaceful also nice for pictures 5 out of 5 Now the negative thing I don’t know if we had a bad exhibition or it’s like always like this but the modern art exhibition is just ugly and has absolutely nothing, I don’t get the modern art and I also saw the people who visited it where also more likely surprised about everything inside! And they took pictures like myself cuz I mean to look interested in it Overall if you have time and it’s to cold or to hot outside go inside and sit on a bench for 15 Euro and look outside or wait for another exhibition otherwise spend the time around the Guggenheim museum because the outside is a 10/10

Nice exterior museum. The interior exhibits on ground floor that are like a maze are the most interesting ones. Very small infinity room exhibition you can stay in for 2’ only Gift shop has nice gift options Some of The modern exhibits were too abstract and modern for my taste. I would not call them art.! A vase on the floor with a curtain around it … 🙄

We came late in the day on a weekday. 6:20pm or so. Initially thought that 90 mins wouldn’t be enough but it was perfectly fine. Helpfully staff have said that they close the top floor first and recommended we start there. Most of the famous paintings are there, Rothko etc. A lot more of the experience is general vibe of place altogether rather than anything specific. The building is a huge part of this both inside and outside. Personally Maman statue outside was my highlight. The fire fountain scared us when we were taking Maman pictures. It’s a great laugh. I would say definitely see the outside of the building and walk the walkway on the river side in the day and night as they give up entirely different vibes. If you approach from the city it’s not 100% clear that you can see the statues on the riverside without a ticket but you can. Sunny Guggenheim is stunning from the outside. Night too. Bear in mind it is very windy outside though if you go off season. We went at 7pm ish in late March and it was chilly but fine. Our Bilbao highlight

This is not just an icon building but a symbol of how to regenerate a whole city. It has wonderful spaces inside to display art. Absolutely love its art collection may not be to everyone's immediate tastes but if you have an open mind it will prove a thought provoking and enjoyable treat. A personal favourite is the giant Richard Serra sculpture Hall, breathtaking.

The Guggenheim Bilbao is famous for its unique and striking architecture. The building is made of titanium, limestone, and glass, and its curved forms have been compared to fish scales or boat with sails. The building itself is considered a work of art, and it has become a symbol of Bilbao. It will take at least 3 hours to tour the exciting exhibition in the museum.  During the winter season, it is quite cold in the museum, so you should keep that in mind when choosing clothes.  The museum has a toilet and cloakroom for visitors.  There is also a souvenir shop, but the souvenirs are expensive and not at the museum level. The ticket price is €15 per person and tickets can be purchased online. It is also necessary to choose an appointment, that is, the day of arrival at the museum

A world class art gallery around a 30 minute walk from the Old Town in Bilbao. Amazing collection of contemporary 20th century art. Well worth a visit.

I’m not a fan of modern art, so it is ridiculous that I give a low ranking. The building is worth of the visit, while the exposition (in my opinion) does not justify a trip to Bilbao. Again, I’m not an expert but compared to many other more famous museums, I think outside is much better than inside.

The house red wine was good and the staff were friendly. However, the food left a lot to be desired. It was so salty and lacked flavour. Can pay by card or cash

Awful attitude of the waiter outside. We had a very hostile welcome and were left to wait for a long time before we were able to get our drinks. Can't comment on the food - we asked if we could order food and the waiter walked away. At which point we decided it was time to leave. Avoid.

Because no table was available I want to try the Pintxos for to-go. Waited to be served for five minutes. Then the waitress sent me to the other side of the counter, where I waited five minutes again. Then I left without any food. They are good at ignoring…

Food is genuinely awful. In a city with so much amazing food, do not waste a meal here! Come for a drink in a lovely setting if you must but the food quality is so poor at relatively expensive prices. For example patatas bravas arrives chunky chips and mayo, salted asparagus is cold, watery, mushy white asparagus out of a tin. The pintxos is old, crusty and very basic... They have a nice sounding menu but none of the dishes we wanted (such as velvet crab and grilled squid) were available. Other people around us were also disappointed. Just warning you!

Smaller selection of pintxos than others in the area and honestly what they had was just “OK”. Gave 3 stars instead of 2 due to location and the food wasn’t terrible. If this is the only table available in the plaza and you only want a seat and cold drink, maybe a snack you might be satisfied here. Also, there are many pictures in this review that I assume are from the place next door which I didn’t try but looked better than Urdina.

Very popular place to eat “ pintxos” and drink beer, and local beer. Just close to the river. In a sunny day is even better. So, you can “ fish” or can compete for a place in the sun to sit. Inside is very crowded with people.

Nice old market hall with plenty of different pinxos to try. It’s like a food market and really worth visiting. Just giving 4 stars because the facilities were dirty (toilets and elevator). Other than that nice staff and good vibe. If you are with kids I recommend going before 6pm so that it’s not too overwhelming

Visited the market a couple of times. The first was a hot Sunday afternoon and seemed busy with locals. We didn’t stay as there was nowhere to sit and the heat was unbearable.. The second time was later afternoon mid-week when there were plenty of seats and the heat was more bearable (not sure there was air con). We enjoyed a few drinks and the dessert of Bilbao. Would definitely recommend to others as there was plenty of choice and the prices were all reasonable.

Do not miss this place, it’s great. There are two stories of shops (fish, bakeries, fruit, canned goods, meat…) and then a large gastro section with about 10 bars that serve pinchos. Also very nice view of the river and the other part of the town from the bar area.

Great place for a quick bite or to enjoy sunny day lunch with friends and family. Ideally located next to tram and bus stop. Views are great. Outdoor seating is also great.

Disappointed, lovely walking inn and looks impressive but, most of the stalls were all closed they were being cleaned, closed or repaired. Those what were there normally what you would see at any given market. We thought we would try the pintxos (tapas) but they were mainly dry and cold or tasteless. Tables and chairs could certainly do with upgrading and service could be friendlier. But, it is worth going even if to have a look.

1130 Sunday still quiet. Nice shops for drinks and great selections of tapas from €2.20- 2 50. Good coffee but beers, sangria or Aperol ready! Lovely center seating area inside or you can sit outside with river views.

The perfect place for Tapas/Pintxos. If you are in Bilbao you have to eat here at least once. You take a table and go around the 6+ Bars where you choose from an endless variety of Pintxos. Everyone will find something here and the price is verry good. Most memorable moment from our one day trip to Bilbao.

I loved walking around the food market, and admiring the local produce. Especially the fresh fish is very interesting, but there's a wide choice of meats, vegetables, fruits and other regional products as well. The food market also houses a couple of pinchos restaurants, and although we found bites in the city that we preferred over these, some of them were pretty good.

Cool vibrant place to eat, plenty of space to sit down. Loved the fact that difference tapas tables sell quite different tapas, so you can go around and keep trying. On another side you can do food shopping like fresh meat, fish. For vegetarians was a bit tough but managed to find several options, they also have a whole window for vegan tapas.

The ground floor is full of pintxo shops, authentic and very tasty. Inside was very crowded but they have spaces outside to eat and look at the city and the river. The whole experience was unique, it didn’t feel like a touristic event but more like being a part of the city.

Fantastic food market in the heart of Bilbao, perfect for dining in. Just find a table and then visit the range of stalls surrounding the seating area and select whichever pinxtos look good to you! We visited in late August when some of the ingredient stalls were closed for the holidays which was a shame but the food we did get to try was great.

Visited this bustling food market on a Sunday, and it was teeming with life! Though seating was scarce and a few stores were closed, the diverse menu options and fair pricing made up for it. Delicious food, vibrant atmosphere. Four stars - a weekday visit is recommended for the best experience.

One of the best spots to eat out in Europe. Cheap and excellent quality food with friendly staff to serve you. There's also a market selling all sorts of delicious fresh seafood, meat, veggies, and much more.

A beautiful place that is very centrally located. It is busier in the morning and midday than in the evening. We went here every day during our stay in Bilbao and it was always very good.

Strange experience. Got here in late afternoon and it almost seemed to be closed. You have to enter from near the bridge and the offerings were pretty basic inside. Given the quality of food in the city I feel this space could be offering a lot more. Worth visiting it if you're in the old town area but otherwise a visit isn't necessary imo.

Wonderful fresh food market. Delicious pastries, fresh fruit & vegetables & butchers markets on the top level. Eateries on the lower level. Amazing stained glass roof. So clean & easy to get around.

A very interesting place, a combination of a market and a pinchos restaurant. At the market, you can buy various things at good prices, primarily meat, fish and seafood. In the restaurant area there are several stalls that offer a wide variety of different and interesting pinchos. There is a good selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. There is also a pastry shop. The whole ambience is reminiscent of a pub and is quite interesting. The restaurant area is covered by wifi. There is a very clean toilet. It is very cold inside in winter. There is no parking nearby, it is better to arrive on foot or by tram

This is a must visit if you are here visiting while on vacation in Bilbao or just looking to see something. This place had it all. Was nice to walk in and you have your area were you can order all the tapas and drinks you like. Next they have the area in which you can purchase your seafood, olives and meats. A huge selection of fresh foods for just about any occasion.

A must visit if you are in Bilboa. Amazing food hall and market. Food is delicious, lots of choice and great drinks. A real buzz at the weekend and quieter visit during the week.

Loved the museum! It had rooms with 2 artists each in one building, where one artist was more classic and the other more modern. The main collections were also very interesting. I would expect more variety in the gift shop.

A fine gallery with an elcectic mix of old and new styles, sometimes in the same room. Free to enter and some wonderful pieces sure to suit all tastes.

The Museum of Fine Arts is a must visit if you like classic art. The building is a classic art deco building. The numerous galleries house some of the most important works of the great Spanish artists including Goya. Take your time to enjoy the art at display. Should take about 2-3 hours. Enjoy. Do remember to take you headphones.

Interesting collection of Basque artists and some pieces of international artists (Gaugin, Van Dyck). Free of charge. The descriptions are in Spanish and Basque only, you can read them in English on the museum’s website (available under a handy QR code in the exhibition).

Nice museum. Unfortunately, it is in the middle of a large renovation so only part of the exhibition is available. However, because of this there was no entrance fee, which was nice.

Bilbao's "other art museum" is definitely worth a visit. Great architecture. I enjoyed the juxtaposition of old masters (including Zurbaran, van Dyck, Goya, and others) and modern art (including Victor Vasarely).

Absolutely delightful! The staff was incredibly friendly. I loved the collection, blending classical and modern art, including photography and at the time of my visit there was also a video installation. The ticket was free. The museum was refreshingly uncrowded, allowing for a peaceful exploration of the exhibits. Additionally, the on-site shop was a hidden gem, offering an beautifully curated books and souvenirs at surprisingly affordable prices. A must-visit!

Great art space with very interesting selection of Spanish and Basque art. Worth visiting not only in rainy days. The maginificent Gernika by Ibarrola is a great tribute to the Gernika painted by Picasso in 1937.

A pearl When you are in Bilbao to visit that other museum, and are disappointed by the G , this will pick you up. A masterful collection of spanish art. We were blown away, by the collection and some of the really rare and old paintings on display. A must see .

Worth popping in. Free and currently under refurbishment so about 8 rooms, 4 of which are filled with an inflated black and white plastic installation. Paintings from different eras and an interesting collection of Bilbao photographs.

Wow. Amazing. We came when a lot of the museum was being reformed, but the pieces we saw were incredible. Free entry, absolutely worth a visit. Thanks to the Basque government.

Amazing structure.....both outside and inside. Prebooked tickets in advance so no queue, which I recommend. Worth the €5 entry (senior) you could easily spend a good half day there. Definitely recommend.. unique.

Currently, this place is undergoing renovation/expansion. The admission is free. The current collection is not very extensive or well-known, but it is still worth a see if you are in the area. Other than couple of lesser known Picasso pieces, it is mostly lesser known and obscure Spanish modern artists and classical artists. The display itself is unique in that the classical artworks are displayed side by side with the modern artworks, creating a bit of visual tension as one peruses the museum.

Collections like these make me realise that I am very lucky to live “next door” to the Rijksmuseum, the Van Gogh museum and the Frans Hals museum… Luckily it is free.

I really enjoyed this modern art museum. I thought the installations were provocative and evocative, disturbing, and beautiful. A real cultural gem in Bilbao.

The museum was being refurbished when we visited so there wasn't too much to see. However entry is free during the works. We visited in August and there were very few visitors in with us. The spaces are nice and the work is varied though not spectacular. I'm not sure it's worth a visit while so few rooms are open even though it's free.

Beautiful bridge. Definitely not a must see but if you are at Guggenheim museum it’s a short walk there and it’s worth having a look at it.

Use this bridge for easy access to the funicular. Walked on this bridge on a weekend and there were many locals walking up and down to cross the river.

Even if it's a well know bridge in Bilbao I don't really like Calatrava's work. I'm thankful that the townhall put mattresses in the bridge cause that genius of an architect designed a glass floor in a city were it's raining 90% of the year.

A wonderful architectural creation, as if it transports us to another time. Crossing the bridge you can admire the beautiful views of Bilbao and feel the breeze of the river.

The 'clean' city Bilbao has many beautiful bridges allover, but I think this one is the most beautiful one. Near Matiko, 9 minutes walk from Casco Viejo.

It is a Calatrava bridge, it does connect two banks of the river Nervion and it looks nice from a distance. But it falls apart, the rubber walkway and the glass around it. It pollutes the river! Incredible! And it is not very practical, only one direction to get on and off….

The structure looks good but slightly dirty with homeless ppl around the bridge. They also covered up the glass portion of the bridge with carpet, which was the major attraction of the bridge. Pity

This place is cool and airey. Nice bar for relaxed drinks and food for lunch. Gym and amazing glass bottomed swimming pool that can be seen above your head walking through. Good for children .

My favorite place in Bilbao... Something for everyone! Try the croque monsieur croissant sandwich in the cafe on the main floor, and ask about the elevator to the terrace on the top floor. 😀

Definitely worth a (quick) visit! Impressive architecture and surprisingly quite inside. Both create an interesting atmosphere.

I used the pool. I will say right away that it is quite an unusual solution. The swimming pool was on the 4th floor and the changing rooms on the 3rd floor. You have to go up the stairs if you want to swim, unfortunately you can get cold sometimes. The pool itself is beautiful, more strictly because there are two indoor pools. one swim 25m and the other more regenerative. I recommend it for training, it even has a swim timer :) The entrance costs 7 €, unlimited in time and is open until 21:30. Lockers in the cloakroom extra € 1

Entered the public area and visited the library and the exhibitions. We went up to the roof, but the view isn't that special really. The exhibitions were interesting, especially the interactive one in the basement. Some very thought provoking exhibits.

The Axminster Zentroa is a must-visit destination. It's located in a vibrant area with plenty of shops, and the staff members are incredibly friendly. The center's design is a brilliant fusion of old and new, making excellent use of the existing building. Overall, my experience was fantastic. The friendly staff and innovative design make it a standout destination. I highly recommend visiting this impressive Center.

It’s fun to visit it at night. You can get on the deck before it closes at 9pm. The design store is fun to browse. If you are interested they have a book about the unique pillars in the building, and a poster with all 43 pillars. Unfortunately all art exhibitions were closed on Monday.

Amazing building which is actually a shopping mall. We went to the lower level only which was a local art gallery. Beautiful art works and friendly stall. Worth a visit.

Great community centre.this place is amazing. Very impressive architecture. As you step in, you are positively surprised by the more than 40 columns on the ground floor. The centre has a gym, a library - both very well equipped -, restaurants (with a rooftop terrace), and it hosts events. It also has a few concept shops and space for workshops and concerts. Look for the pool on ceiling from the ground floor. Very cool

Cathedral is nice, even if you pay to enter. Audio guide is included (good for 6 EUR ticket). Inside it is interesting especially as it is a gothic style with an unusual (for me) stone bricks. You can also visit another church with the same ticket

Was not adventurous enough to visit the place as it was surrounded by weirdos and drug weirdos. Pretty smelly place

I know it’s weird to write a negative review about a cathedral, but the woman working there on the evening of 7/4/23 was just a horrible representative for the cathedral. She was rudely turning people away a half hour before closing without explanation. At first I thought it was just us, but she did the same thing to two other groups visitors right after us. Maybe she was just having a bad day.

The sacristy and cloister are especially good, with a display of fine historical vestments and a lovely garden. The main parts of the church have undergone extensive restoration and no longer have the spirit of the ages hanging in the air. There is a comprehensive audio tour available in many languages which my son (11) enjoyed. The admission fee of 6€ could be a turn off to some, but it gave me peace of mind that I was not intruding on someone else's sacred time.

Visited this cathedral to buy the camino credential. It is not free for the entrance but when you buy the credential(2€) it is free. The lady in the shop didn’t know where the next yellow arrow locates and it will be hard to find one. But you can find the route easily online (either walk to the river side then along the river or walk to the south then you find alternative way).

Terrible service, while waiting to buy the ticket I wanted to start downloading the audio guide. The girl covered the qr code and was very rude saying I had to buy a ticket first. Of course I was going to buy a ticket, that's why I was waiting in line, what use would the guide be without visting anyway? She treated me like a thief, very rude and unfriendly, needles to say i didn't visit the cathedral.

Beautiful cathedral in the center of Bilbao but you have to pay to go in. You get an audio guide and entrance into another church. Very beautiful inside and there is a courtyard that you can go and see.

Naturally not the biggest cathedrals in Spain but still beautiful. Stained glass are wonderful and their audio guide is just on point - does not overwhelm with information / details.

A place worth a visit if you are in Bilbao, some impressive arts, beautiful stained glasses and interesting architecture. I particularly loved the rose window. The staff were polite, helpful, friendly and pleasant. One thing I really liked was how the tour of the cathedral is set up. You're given a device which explains details about different part of the cathedral, each point has a number and you can do the tour in your pace, repeat or escape a particular part etc.

Lovely cathedral and cloisters. Was very historic and beautiful. English audio guide was grand but some bits and bobs were missing from it! Worth a stop.

Although the outside looks a bit run down the inside of this gothic cathedral is perfectly maintained. It's not as large as other Cathedrals lacking a choir, but it still makes a potent impact on the visitor with its rib vaulted ceiling, arches and stain glass windows. A bit pricey at 6 euros but still well worth the visit. For me the finest church is in Páis Vasco.

While the Santiago de Bilbao isn't the biggest cathedral in Spain, it is by far one of the most peaceful, beautiful, and historic. A true hidden gem!! History and architecture lovers alike will love this place. The audio guides were fantastic (well worth 6 bucks) but honestly taking in the cloister gardens was my favorite part. A must-see if you are even remotely near Bilbao!

I have been coming to the "duck park" since I was little. This place is the lung of Bilbao. It has multiple gardens, trees, a pond where you will find ducks, swans and peacocks, a beautiful pergola that surrounds a fountain, etc. It is a good place to rest, read a book, sunbathe, walk, etc. There is immense tranquility! I think a visit to this place is obligatory if you come to the Villa and also, from here you access the Museum of Fine Arts

Very chill park with nice views and some nice cultural amenities and sights. Perfect place to relax and refill the battery during your city trip to Bilbao. There’s a lot of benches and a nice fountain in the center. The sound of the water show is quite relaxing.

A beautiful park with many benches for you to take a rest and enjoy the view. There are also several food stalls/shops nearby. We came on a weekend and there were not too many people in the area. There was even a mini concert going on. It's a beautiful place to visit for a picnic, reading a book or just idly passing time especially when the weather is good.

What can you say that isn’t already known about this place and the magnificent town in which it is located.  Contrary to what others might suggest, it is NOT just an architectural marvel, but a display vehicle for an extraordinary collection of art. Indeed the Museum, the Art and Bilbao itself are woven into an experience that is not to be missed.  I love this place and Bilbao more so.

Lovely park, perfect for relaxing in company. I think this is the nicest park of Bilbao and it’s completely in the center! It’s perfect for taking your dog also, there will be many to play with him.

Nice ornate park situated at the back of Indautxu with intricate network of pathways around fountains and ponds. It pleasant for a stroll around or you can sit down and relax on the benches.

Passed the church on our walk from Zamudio to Bilboa, the Camino pilgrim route. It was closed but lovely to sit and reflect in the square. Beware it's on a hill so plenty of steps to get here.

The Basilica of Begoña in Bilbao, where Our Lady of Begoña is housed. The church dates back the 16th Century. The current basilica as it stands today has undergone construction in the 19th and 20th century.

This is an impressive Church to see. You can take the public transportation up there (bus number 30 is one of them) that goes up right in front of the church. Then walk down. There is no admission fee to enter the church, but there is usually someone begging for money at the entrance.

Most symbolic religious building in Bilbao. You can take a bus from downtown for EUR 1.35 to get to the bus stop nearest to the basilica and then walk a few meters uphill to get there. Its very peaceful inside.

There are ticket machines and ticket office which worked one day in the morning and didn't another day in the afternoon. No seats and no bathrooms outside, you should use your ticket if you want to use them. If you arrive and wanna go to bathroom you need to go downstairs first so don't use your ticket upstairs (there are 2 sides of the station). Friendly and helpful staff. No place to leave luggage but they explain where you can go to leave it. I'm not sure how it works, is it free or not, because I didn't find that place (neither Spanish speaking girl). And not sure if anyone speaks English.

Easy to reach, its train goes to many places, cheap tickets and very helpful employees.

Attended at conference hosted in this wonderful building. You get lost, in a good way, when you try to maneuver the stairs, elevators, rooms, and other spaces!

The best auditorium I ever visited in my life. I went there for ITSC2023. We visited the whole building and it was a nice experience

The conference center is large and impressive. The wifi was good, there were plenty of bathrooms and the sound technicians were very helpful. Unfortunately, it's internal structure is terribly convoluted and confusing (very artistic with deep metaphorical value, I'm sure). Multiple times, we could see our end destination just across from the balcony we were on (on the same level) or just on the other side of some ill-placed glass, but had no way to get there without traversing at least two flights of stairs.

The place is a good location. The infrastructure is also good. But the event organisation company was not ok. It is not related to the exhibition place

I think the building needs some renovation, but still it works. The auditorium is impressive and it was a pleasure to listen to a concert there. It is a little hard to find your way due to the complex architecture.

Amazing place for concerts. Was watching here Swan Lake, classic concert and concert of Zaz and in all cases enjoyed the quality of the sound ❤️

A most authentic, informative, spectacular and child friendly museum in a historic building with lot of original objects. Most information given in English, but the museum is absolutely not text heavy. It gives a substantial overview of history and everyday life of this remote but great corner of Spain i. e. Country Basque. A good mixture of history, archeology, anthropology, fishery, traditional food, rural life etc. The museum has 3 floors and a ground floor to visit. Very easily accessible for wheel chair users. Quiet atmosphere, professional and attentive staff. Restrooms are available for visitors.

FREE Entry on Thursdays. Very nice Basque museum. It would be lots better if there were other languages on the detail plaques on the exhibits. Instead there are some sporadic leaflets that are dotted around. The time we spent here was cut short because of that, otherwise we would have stayed a lot longer. There is a fantastic model of Bizkaia so you can see the entire region on a large scale, it's just a shame that for a non-basque-spanish speaker there were no accessible information by the exhibits. Glad it was free entry.

This is a well curated museum with artefacts from the local area beginning in early prehistory around 100,000 years ago, showing stone tools. The display works through subsequent periods of prehistory before looking at the Roman occupation and then the medieval period. Of note is the immersion experience of cave paintings from the paleolithic period. We'll worth a visit.

Interesting museum with some very good exhibits, strange layout which can get confusing as you look for the translated information sheets, which seem to be in random locations. Highlight is the relief model of the Region. Would recommend visiting for 1.5 hours.

The ethnographic museum costs 3 euro to enter and is split over 4 different floors. Some of the exhibits will not be that interesting to all and will include a large amount of reading of sheets, but there was an exhibition of large statues of the Basque region which is quite impressive and worth viewing just for this. Is this the most reasonably priced museum in Bilbao?

Nice museum, they have interesting things. However, nothing is written in English so it’s slightly tricky for tourists who don’t speak Spanish!

Disappointment. I was excited to learn about Basque history, especially 20th century history. I left empty. Cultural exhibits are the only window presented to understand Basque Country. I’d have really loved to have known what I was looking at, but with no English anywhere, using a translation tool every time makes me dizzy. No numbers on exhibits or captions so I’m guessing even with paper translation this would be onerous to follow. My takeaway is they're a proud people, proud of their way of life. I just wish they made that story more accessible to foreigners so we could celebrate along with them.

Free entrance on Tuesdays, be careful it opens late in the morning (11 am). The collection is interesting but mainly for locals as a lot of translation are missing. Description in English is a bit light and nothing for other languages than Basque or Spanish. I would say 50% of the interesting part of the museum is to be seen outside on the docks

Great museum almost all the exhibits had English text as well as other languages. It’s about boats, ships and shipping. Also had a lot about the history of Bilbao and its regeneration. Definitely worth a visit!

The collection is a bit messy. We couldn't find a storyline as why certain things were displayed. The replica's, the little movie theater in the beginning and the kids' corner are however great. Okay museum. If we needed to rate the staff it would be 5 stars. Extremely kind and helpful people.

I was surprised how good this place was! Interesting films and installations. It charts the history of Bilbao in an engaging way.

My hostel recommended me and my brother to come here to check out on how we could get to Gaztelugatxe and that was one of the best decisions we made. The staff was extremely professional, well versed in her domain, and super friendly. She recommended us to take local transport and explore the area on our own. We were ready to spend close to €100 per person to join a tour but the staff reassured us that the transport in Bizkaia was super easy. She was right. We managed to explore and hike to Gaztelugatxe for like probably less than €6 per person on transportation. Everything was easy. Eskerrik asko to the lady who helped us, and kudos to Bilbao and Bizkaia because I have traveled much of Spain — Madrid, Sevilla, Granada, Malaga, Barcelona, Salamanca, Santander, Zaragoza, Valencia, and I have to say that my favorite has to be Bilbao, no doubt.

One of the beautiful tourist information buildings. We took a token from the machine at the entrance. The lady at the desk spoke English and hence it was easier to communicate. She helped us with all our questions. Since it was New year week she gave us a document with all the local events happening. They had a little magazine with nearby places to Bilbao on the bus or train. Multiple routes for a day trip. It was very informative. On 1st Jan, restaurants were very hard to find. Even though on Google Maps it said open, it wasn't. A collective information of actual open restaurants (at least in the city center) on 31st Dec and 1st Jan (particularly on public holidays) would be helpful.

They have a great system and a wealth of information. Worth a visit.

Office consisted of empty leaflet holders with just QR codes to PDF documents that were unhelpful to read on a mobile device. Rows and rows of tablet devices that I did not try. The office didn't help much with being tours, but gave me a list of numbers to call (which I already had). Bought the tourism and travel cards from here, but generally found this office didn't offer much more than I could find online. Brochures were useful for inspiration, but would have been better with estimated journey times. The illustrations sometimes indicated attractions were closer on foot than they actually were. Google opening hours for the tourism office were out of date (late Feb/early March). English translation in tourism leaflets and websites could sometimes be superficial. No toilet.

Ticket system to get advice. Short wait. I was going to spend €20 on a tram pass for 2 of us but their recommendation was to buy a Barik card for €3 and add €5. This was sufficient for all our travel and covered all public transport including Funicular (if we would have made it there)

The rudest, most unpleasant tourist office I have ever had the experience of being in. We didnt realise we needed a ticket to get a map of the town, my pregnant wife queued and then was ignored by the advisor (young man with glasses). After queuing, the man refused to give her a map and said "yeah that's the problem, everyone needs a map."

Such a beautiful building and interior design, the staff is very nice and they truly want to help you during your stay in Bilbao. If you have any questions, don’t doubt to go there. They speak English and Spanish. There’s also phone charging stations inside for free (one euro, that’s returned after, if you want to lock your phone and leave it charging).

To buy a simple balbao pass we had to wait one hour in the que. They have to add more staffs or make that pass available via mobile app. In no modern country in the world tourist waste their 1 hour of golden time to just buy a card. Unfortunately the only place that we could buy that card was toursit office. The guidance of tourist office also was wrong! They should be more trained in the future.

This tourist I formation centre has a large space, but there seems a limited range of leaflets and information on the local area. The main source a published information newspaper is only in Spanish. Could be better.

Excessive waste of public money. They don't help you but recommend you do an internet search

Beautiful building and so helpful staff! They organise on Saturday and Sunday city walk tours at the Casco Viejo( old town) and Modern Bilbao. They cost €4.5 each but if you are staying more than one day in Bilbao go for the 48hrs(€15) or 72hrs(€20) BB card: you can use buses, tram, underground as many times you want and this two tours are included in the price. A single ticket with the tram is €1.50 and it is valid just for one hour so it is quite worth it. The tours are really interesting and I personally high recommend to attend them both. The all staff is absolutely amazing, helpful and patient so ask them any questions you will have.
