Excellent museum. I learned a lot about oil extraction and life on oil rigs. The maritime history of Aberdeen was also very well presented. Definitely worth a visit.

A lovely free museum to visit, either with friends, family, or on your own (a donation is recommended!) Although there’s currently neither a café nor a gift shop to throw your money at, the exhibitions are expansive, and even include, to my surprise, pieces on Thomas Blake Glover. I’m hoping that this museum survives the current economic downfall, as we really need places like this to be open and accessible.

My time at the Aberdeen Maritime Museum was really fun and enlightening. It's fascinating the structure of the place, the models at the museum, and what you can actually learn there. History is brought to life over there.

At the moment there is no cafe or shop. Hopefully that will change soon as things get back to normal. There are some terrific exhibits but the buildings themselves are wonderful and the views from the top floor are unbeatable. There is also a gallery devoted to temporary exhibitions and when I was there it had photographs from Ukraine which was quite poignant. A great venue and free!

It was a knowledgeable and informative experience. It shows you the greatest history of the Aberdeen oil and ship industry. One should visit this place if you are new to this town. Also, it's free of cost but you can donate.

A really informative, excellent museum in the heart of Aberdeen. Take a lift up to the top floor and work your way down the stairs floor by floor, and learn all about the seafaring history of the city, lots of interactive displays, sit and watch a short film, ask the friendly staff on hand questions. Gift shop on the ground floor. And it's free, donations gratefully received.

Amazing museum, it's a lot bigger and more interesting than you might expect, very well presented. Covers history of shipping, fishing, oil and gas industry and environmental issues. Some great exhibits and wonderful social history photographs. Great views of the harbour from here too. There's enough to keep the little ones interested too. It's free, what have you got to lose??

Plenty of exhibits with information, free to enter, looking at everything took a couple hours across 4 or 5 floors. A lot of Aberdeen specific history and artifacts. Definitely worth dropping by. So far both times we have been, the Cafe was closed but was nice to sit and relax. Great place to spend the afternoon with family. There were a lot of model ships so I recommend to anyone who is a model ship enthusiast even if they don't like history.

This museum has so many wonderful items to see, you can spend many hours enjoying the maritime exhibits and watching the films. Loved my visit.

The staff on reception were extremely welcoming and informative. Sadly, I didn't have two long to experience everything in this museum. So I did get around it very quickly and sadly could not see everything I wanted to see. I really enjoyed my time there and saw some interesting things at this Martime Museum. If I am ever in Aberdeen again, I will be making more time so I can return and stay for a little longer.

Fascinating Museum, full of interesting displays and artifacts. With the added bonus of a birds eye view over the harbour and the North link ferry terminal which links Aberdeen to Orkney and the Shetland islands.

The Museum has a rich history of ship making in Aberdeen, evolution of subsea technologies, discovery of oil and gas in the North Sea, and many more. Everything in one place. And, did I mention that you also get some nice views of Aberdeen Harbour from the Museum?

What a fun and informative visit! Haven’t been in years, but it was well worth going. A fab morning for adults and children alike, with some great interactive activities to do. The history of Aberdeen was fascinating!

A beautiful and hypnotic museum dedicated to the long and mostly harmonious relationship between the city and the vast North Sea. I appreciate how largely uncommercial this museum is: there is no attempt to be controversial or flashy and spectacular in order to increase visitations. There is no override pageantry or blatant attempts to push a particular perspective. Instead, there is all of the complicated and comprehensive curiosity and thoughtfulness that should define the mission of a museum. I felt a profound sense of serenity being surrounded by the paintings of the ships of distant ages. As an environmentalist, I was initially a little worried about the prevalence of the oil and natural gas exhibits, but in reality, the exhibition is quite balanced, portraying the importance of the industry to the history of the city while also exposing its controversies over the decades. Great museum, and I hope that all those who are interested in the history of Aberdeen go here.

Free admission with a donation box and small gift shop. Four floors of replicas, paintings, artifacts, and a few historical documentaries in their own rooms. Very enjoyable to look at at your own pace. Short and sweet.

I wasn't sure what to expect here but found this a really interesting museum to spend an afternoon in! It's free to get in, and the museum has multiple floors of exhibits as well as a lovely gift shop too! What I really liked was the strong connection to Aberdeen. By far my favourite were the exhibits on the oil industry which I really didn't know much about and is obviously so important to the area. The giant model of an oil rig spanning multiple floors is a fantastic way of showing just how big they are and give you a closer look! There are also model ships related to Aberdeen and the history of rescues in the surrounding waters too. Overall, there's a lot to see and there are global links too to discover- I've been to Nagasaki and walked around the Glover Garden so to read about the man himself and the opening of Japan to trade was fantastic!

great experience at the Maritime Museum, the top two floors were incredibly fascinating, getting to see the Murchison Platform in a smaller scale with incredible detail with other bits and bobs of the oil and gas industry. The bottom few floors do get a little boring when you start with something so cool. I would suggest starting ground up for sure.

Fabulous free maritime museum detailing the history of the North Sea, Scottish Oil and Gas exploration. Even to those with some nautical background ot is well worth a visit. Located a stones throw from the docks and all the offshore supply vessels. Multi storey car park literally across the road. Cheap day out in the heart of a bustling city.

Excellent museum and very informative. Plenty of exhibits and pictures with detailed information. The museum regularly holds events/talks which are free to attend. Talks are presented by local knowledgeable people who are/was involved in Maritime life. Also Archeology event was great. Lift to all floors with seating areas, toilets and small gift shop on ground floor. Very helpful staff/guides are on hand to answer any questions you may have. A must to visit when you are in Aberdeen.

A wonerful attraction located within the impressive Duthie Park close to Aberdeen centre. The gardens are enclosed within a series of linked glazed greenhouses. From the moment you walk in through main entrance you see wonderful colour even in January when I went. Also the sound of flowing water from the indoor streams add to the experience. You are guided round by following indoor footpaths back to the start. Highlights are the house with an incredible array of cacti. Other areas with probably different atmosphere control almost feel tropical. Some sections are staff only which are set aside to grow on young plants etc. Fantastic attraction, completely free & well worth spending an hour to do a full circuit or even more to read all the information boards more closely. Plenty of clean WC's & adjoining cafe/restaurant which I didn't sample. Highly recommended especially on a cold, wet January day.

A fabulous botanic garden that surprisingly is free! You can easily take a relaxed stroll around here for an hour, exploring the many different garden themes. There are benches everywhere to sit down and have lunch or read a book. The variety of plants is very impressive. There are free toilets around as well, and a cafe to have a cuppa. If you want to escape into a free world of colour and be reminded of how beautiful nature can be, do visit, you won’t regret.

Even in winter with snow on the ground outside, a wonderful display under glass. Bigger than expected. A delight and worthy of support.

Amazing place , recommend to check online if is open . We arrived once and it was closed unfortunately. First of all place is absolutely free , donation box is by the entrance together with contact less reader. It's unbelievable it is for free place is huge and very well maintained. We love plants so we spend hours these and definitely coming back in wormer months to visits outdoor part of the gardens . Recommend as well to visit restaurant by the garden, good prices and nice food.

Beautiful place, you could spend a good amount of time exploring the different areas. Only thing I'd ask for more of is more signs explaining each plant! I'd love to learn more.

Lovely quiet space, when it's not too busy. I was attending a gardening workshop as part of Climate Week North East. It was brilliant, very instructive and inclusive. I wish there were more of these, open to the public.

I've been coming to this place for a lot longer than I'd like to admit. It honestly hasn't changed much, it's still a lovely place to visit. Plenty of beautiful plants and great atmosphere. It's not a place to rush through. Take your time and enjoy every plant, big or small. It's quite relaxing. I can't wait to take my kids back when the plants are blooming. Entry is free. It's not suitable for wheelchairs. There's stairs but there's plenty of places to sit. I would love to see the place extended. Some of those trees which I've known for most of my life are getting big haha. Note: It IS a shame to see people have been carving their names into the cactus. The Youtube generation clearly have nothing better to do. Shame to see so many damaged plants in that area.

Cannot recommend it highly enough. What an incredibly warm welcome, which continued, (I also quickly visited the cafe, where i had a tasty but generous slice of cake) I met some museum managers as I explored, we chatted about the events and history, was even offered a Christmas chocolate by staff as I left. Lots of history, but the visit made by the people. The museum used the last few years wisely, the presentation of the galleries is great, easy to read interpretation, with clear font, graphics and nicely laid out cabinets. It feels updated and modern, yet has lots on display to appeal to history lovers. Also great if you like swords and silverware.

An absolutely first class military museum, well managed with outstanding exhibits with a knowledgeable and friendly staff, a history lesson in itself. Also a comfortable and clean cafe area with very reasonable prices. Not to be missed if you’re anywhere in or around Aberdeen.

A fantastic day out for the whole family. There's a little trail of Lego figures for the kids to find as they go round. There's plenty of parking, no wait to enter and the staff and volunteers were extremely helpful and friendly. Under 5s go free, likewise for Blue Light Card holders. The World War 1 trench is well worth a visit!

Guide tour and all the staff were so welcoming and nice! Plus the cafe had a delicious gluten free cake!! The museum itself takes you through the history of the Gordon Highlander's batalion first with a video recap, and then through a series of vitrines exposing important objects and cloth items recapping each achievement.

A great military museum to visit when anyone is in Aberdeen. The audio guide came in very handy during the tour. Gives a good historical account of one of Scotland's elite units

One of the best museums I have visited in many years - including London. The replica 1st world war trench was an eye-opener even for a history buff. We had a fantastic guide who was very knowledgeable over the details. I do feel a little sad that such great and famous regiment, with a second to none fighting history, is no more. Victim of cost saving and consolidation. Long may their memory endure.

A lovely history and museum of the Gordon Regiment. The staff are fantastic, full of knowledge and friendly. The cafe is nice and well priced. Both a haunting and humbling experience especially with the trenches.

The most impressive experience we ever had in a museum visit. My partner and I visited the museum yesterday. We arrived with a warm welcome and informative introduction. The design of the visit flow is amazingly smart: starting with a video and then a pathway by critical moments in history, then there was a very knowledgeable lady who brought us to the replica of trenches in WWI and told us many interesting stories. All the staff there were very passionate, friendly and professional. I'd have rated this with 10 out 10. Highly recommended if you have an afternoon time to visit this wonderful place.

A wonderful museum with an impressive collection. The building itself is pretty and has all the modern amenities which allow comfortable experience for guests of every age/ability. There's a lot to see inside, but it's not overdone. All exhibition rooms are well-designed and very aesthetic. There are also some interactive elements. I have to say you don't need to be a military freak to enjoy this. A lot of stuff like the silverware collection or little bits and pieces of soldiers' equipment can be interesting to everyone. I however am a freak so I especially enjoyed the weapons collection, medals from many different campaigns and of course the famous WW1 trench which is located on the outside. Sadly it was raining when I visited so I didn't take pictures, but on the other hand it only added to the experience. Hats off to the folks who designed and built it, it's a work of art. There was a young guide with us, who was super-passionate about WW1 and had a great storytelling talent. For more sensitive audience and kids this may be a slightly heavy topic, so keep that in mind. All in all, one of Aberdeen's top attractions. A definite must-see.

A wonderfully comprehensive museum, set in a beautifully historic building in Aberdeen. The exhibits are impressive, and you are given a phone recorded guide to go around the museum at your own pace. The staff are all enthusiastic and knowledgeable, and the tours are also child friendly.

Beautiful old building and nicely arranged exhibition. Try a guided tour if there is available. We really enjoyed the guided tour with a volunteer retired army officer. The trench outside the building is also very interesting

We visited the museum on Tuesday, sadly I can't remember the name of the gentleman that gave us a tour around but honestly he was so much better than expected, very knowledgeable with a great sense of humour which meant we were exchanging jokes for the most part while learning about the history associated with this beautiful building. The silver room was very interesting as was the armoury. If we'd have known how much we'd have enjoyed it we'd have certainly taken the guide up on the 2.5 hour tour, it would've been worth every second.

Nice and interesting museum to visit at any time, it can take one to two hours to see all the exhibits. They welcome you very kindly and there are several guides to take care of you. They also offer you a little tour through a full-size World War I trench with all its props including a machine gun nest. The coffee lounge is also very nice and convenient.

Great visit here. I came here looking for my family association with the Gordon Highlanders. My Great Uncle Francis Left Keith with the Highlanders for France with the B.E.F WW2. Also my grandfather was attached to the HD from El Alamein to Bremerhaven. Great facilities and very interesting day indeed

Loved our visit here. We went off season so it was super quiet, just some dog walkers passing by. The dunes are amazing to see, but would definitely recommend sticking to the paths as there are some steep drops. Plenty of parking, but a tight squeeze to actually get into it.

Lovely beach, went to see if we could see the seals, although didn't see them on that occasion, maybe because the tide was out, but we saw lots of ducks. Peaceful place with plenty of space. The sand is on a slope which made it quite tricky to walk properly, as it was quite deep too. Car park just a few yards from the beach, signposted where to go. Ticket machines (2) in the car park were both out of order the day we went.

A massive expanse of sandy beach and rolling dunes, Balmedie is a great place to go for a walk or spend time relaxing on a sunny day. Having come here for years I have a lot of great memories attached to the beach. It's just a real shame that there's quite a lot of visible pollution with plastic bags and glass bottles every few metres.

A great place to visit, there's plenty of parking spaces. More walks than you can shake a hairy stick at and even parking for horse boxes. There's a couple of places to buy food and drink if you haven't brought your own and loads of bins to put your rubbish in, although some people can't grasp that the bins are provided for that purpose! Dog walkers, please be aware that apparently, the piri piri sticky buds grow here.

Beautiful spot for birds and dog walking. Planning on low tide makes it easier to get along the beach👍 otherwise bring your Welly boots to splash through the little outlets 😁

Magnificent trails along the dunes, marse grasses and ice houses of Balmedie. A maze of pathways forming a beautiful and interesting backdrop to glorious sands which stretch endlessly in both directions. There is a sand bothy, play area, various barbeque sites and toilet facilities. These were closed at the time of our visit hence 4 star award. Car parking and parking for horse boxes too.

Absolutely breathtaking. The park has various great play areas for kids, big open spaces for your children and pets to run and play. Monuments galore and beautiful gardens. There is also a restaurant in the park that is not too bad. The en loses gardens are absolutely breathtaking. Worth a visit for the whole family

The park is indeed beautiful! It would have been better if the weather was nicer. But my friend and I had so much fun there. The greenhouse was so interesting as well. It's really awesome that there is a restaurant near the garden. This place is perfect for you to spend some time enjoying the fresh air and beaty of the nature.

A lovely park, with an extensive greenhouse full of different plants from all over the world. Entry is free, and it’s remarkably well managed and maintained, it’s especially impressive how they manage to contain the different levels of humidity in each section. There’s a giant frog thing which has been there for decades, and although it’s aged a bit, it still goes up and down.

Excellent park for fun and walk. Was also easy with buggy to walk around. couple of beautiful small ponds inside, great for kids as well. There is also a great cafe with plenty of indoor and outdoor seatings.

This park received high recommendations when I asked people what I should see in Aberdeen, so I suppose I was expecting a little more. From the centre of town, I had to walk for about a half hour through rather labyrinthian and convoluted routes to reach the park. The sun shone freely and joyously on the damp grass, and I appreciated the towering and majestic columns and monuments, but I suppose I was expecting something more unique than simply a large swath of pleasant green space. I did not have the time to examine the botanical gardens, which I hear are lovely and exuberant, but what I saw were large groups of very energetic and happy kids racing through the park, playing together on a pleasant sunny day in February. Though I did not dislike the park, and I understand why it was busy on a sunny Sunday afternoon, I did not think it was worth walking that far to reach. It appears to be a lovely place for families, and I am sure that I would visit this park frequently if I lived close to it, but it was not the compelling tourist attraction I thought it would be.

Absolutely lovely park on a sunny day. The main thing I loved was the winter garden. Incredible flowers and environment. Loved the park its so clean and lovely. The water spots r also very nice.

Nice green with Victorian bandstand. Lots of trees & flowers to admire throughout the Seasons. Winter Gardens glass house with different habitats. There is a playground with slides & swings for kids. Pity they don't use the boating pond anymore, it was popular.

Went here this morning..was going to thr Winter Gardens..it didn't open till 10.30AM The cafe was jam packed before 10am. I have no idea how many different greenhoues and hot houses there were..it was fantastic. There were a lot of people at opening time. The gardens were Immaculately kept...beautiful healthy plants..well maintained . Thoroughly enjoyed my visit. Will definitely be going back. NOTE..IT IS FREE. So awesome

Excellent indoor winter garden. True fact about the 'winter' part - the indoor greenhouses are barely heated so dress warmly.

Lovely park to go walking, let the stress be washed away by the constant rain and wind of Aberdeen. And just a few steps south is the lovely River Dee, and the Deeside Line, awesome to go jogging, bike riding... One of the most beautiful places in the city.

One of the most beautiful places you must visit in Aberdeen, there’re so many varieties of plants (Tropical, Cactus, Scented, Japanese and many more). There’s a large playground you can visit with your dogs 🐶. You can have a coffee in their cafe. This is really nice view in the summer as there will be more flower varieties. There are 2 entrances from river dee side, better to go for the second one which have more parking spaces.

Beautiful park, very clean which is nice to see. There is a lot of benches there and a lot of them have peoples names. It is good for children I believe as there is a large area of playground and also big paths for people to cycle on and etc. There is also a flower garden inside a building which is also big and beautiful, it has many different species of plants which is amazing. It is well looked after the park and the garden.

We have visited Aberdeen many times, but this was our first trip to Duthie Park. The spring flowers were beautiful. The hot houses with the many exotic plants were amazing. I was very impressed with how well it was all kept. A lovely way to spend time on a chilly day.

I've visited Duthie Park many times as a child, and on a recent trip back, I went back for nostalgia. I wasn't disappointed. Still beautiful as ever and well maintained, walked the dogs around and it was so nice to see family's enjoying the open space.

Great place to have a little walk, perfect for a rainy day, you can have a wonder in the green houses. Good day for the kids to, got some gold fish and turtles and lots of interesting plants.

Wow, it’s great to be back in Aberdeen after 26 years! Massive changes all for the better! The theatre is as beautiful as it always was! I love the stone and designs of the buildings here. Truly beautiful.

Great evening at this beautiful gem in Aberdeen. Worth going just to see the building but play was very funny too. Comedy version of an old classic. Well worth a visit. Modern extension containing a good restaurant/coffee shop too.

First class venue for operatic, musicals and ballet. Comfortable seating, good acoustics and subtitling above the stage to help with interpretation of the show.

There is something special about His Majesty’s, the most beautiful auditorium that puts many West End theatres in the shade. The stunning circular dress circle bar with its wonderful atmosphere sits well alongside the practical and recently revamped glass extension. Great to see HMT packed and buzzing for The Barber of Seville.

I had never been this high up before, that was pretty cool but you miss so much of the stage when this high up and sit to the side. Would prob not sit so high up for the next show I see here

What an experience, my first time ever at His Majesty's theatre did not disappoint. Went to see the production Joseph and the technicolour dreamcoat. What a delight, the staff were friendly, the arena was spacious and comfortable. The merch stand was right by the main entrance which was handy and ofcourse the bar staff were quick and experienced. I enjoyed it alot and even got a wee booklet full of all the other performances they are planning throughout the year.

Friendly FoH team, in and to our seats without any issue, and out again at end of performance easily. First time back since COVID, and was good to be back.

Great show, helpful staff before and after show. Great drinks and food if you can be early. Downstairs bar available also, if like me, i was just 10 mins early.

Fantastic building. Beautiful theatre. Very friendly staff. Clean toilets. Guests were very well ushered, everything is very well organized. Lighting and sound are excellent 👌🏻 Thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Watched "The ocean at the end of the lane". Best theatre I have ever watched and that's saying a lot.

Lovely little theatre. Sat in the right hand stalls in N9 - decent view of the stage however mildly cut off at the top (although did not impair vision). Also found that the seat also lead to some difficulty with the far stage left. Best seats would likely be a bit more central.

First time visiting his majesty's, and we had a fantastic night at the sleeping beauty panto. We were a party of 4,no little kids, but we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, hilarious entertainment. The seats were comfy in the stalls, plenty of room. Staff were helpful, wouldn't hesitate to come back to see a different show. Thanks

The staff at His Majesty's Theatre are superb!!! My husband and I went to watch a show and due to a leg injury my husband was very uncomfortable in his seat and in terrible pain (we were mid row). We spoke to a member of the team and explained our predicament. They did not hesitate in contacting Jason (Manager) and he was incredibly helpful and seated us at the end of a row so that my husband could straighten his leg during the performance. We thoroughly enjoyed the show and the kindness of the staff at HMT added to our lovely evening. Thank you once again.

My friend and I had booked tickets to see The Drifters Girl a few nights ago at the Theatre. Unfortunately due to unforseen circumstances we were 3 minutes late. And the show had just started. We were ushered to the bar and was told as we were late we would have to wait 15 minutes to go in and see the show. So we missed the beginning. While waiting at the bar and was told to watch the TV screen there. Which wasn't very clear. The man told us he would come back.in 15 minutes and take us to our seats. Waiting there my friend went to.look for him as he didn't return. The girl at the bar was very rude when we ast where the man was ascwe were still waiting. We were told as we were late we had to wait 15bminutes why? Eventually he came when my friend went and got someone else. We will not be returning to the Theatre again for a show. As being treated like children is ridiculous. Shame on the staff for being so uncooperative and rude.

Panto has went downhill over the last few years. It’s now just a comedy with people running in & off the stage. I have been every year for the past 30 years. But the last few & this year were such a disappointment! If it wasn’t that I’m taking the grandchildren then I would have stopped going. The scenery is just big screen/curtains going up & down when it used to be actual buildings & sets. They used to interact with the children more, but now just toilet rolls were thrown into the audience. The jokes are all adult innuendo’s that goes over the children’s heads. So come on Alan get back to the old fashioned style of pantomime and make it about the children and not the adults. Don’t cut corners to save money, use proper sets/buildings, get back to a traditional pantomime

Good place to go or should i say only place to be in Aberdeen if you like watching theater 🎭 drama and other live performances really enjoyed watching romeo and Juliette here.

Buying tickets was quick and easy, entry and help directing to our seats was great. This years Panto was brilliant, it was hilarious. I want to see it again!! Walking back to the car, all you could hear from everyone was "Hi Gary...." you'll know if you were there!!

Was a little disappointed with our seats in the stalls (F1 & 2), that turned out to be restricted view seats although they were not sold as such. I received a partial refund when I complained but we’d have been happier with a proper view of the stage as it did spoil our show. 2:22 A Ghost Story…

I had a fantastic experience here at the amusement park, enjoying multiple aspects such as: rides, laser tag, mini golf, go-karts, and the arcades (which I found hard to stay away from). I highly recommend coming here for a fun day out. The downside with the arcade was that the ticket counting machine would often break and there would be large queues - there were a lot of staff though which helped a lot. Also the toilets were both out of service at one point, with one of them having no water or soap working as well as one toilet blocked.

Usually really good. I went yesterday and wanted a water. Staff at one of the food huts totally ignored us and they were messing about with their colleagues. Really good variety of activities. Needs more options on good menu.

Take lots of money 💰. Take raincoat so you don't get wet at the scooty boat pond from the peeps trying to soak members of their family and friends. Play air hockey 🏒, it's a hoot playing with the bairns . Take lots of pictures ,great memories. Food is good at the Smugglers Cove/ soft play area 😋 .

Went a May day bank holiday disappointed the little kiddie rides weren't on (just at weekends) we still enjoyed the dodgems, bumper boats and the go karts, soft play and outdoor play area. Go kart racing pretty expensive but it is a great experience so you can see why.

This is one of the best places to go to here in Aberdeen. It is a nice amusement park with all things that both adults and children love. You can find the Grampian Eye here and it is lovely to have a ride. The best way to enjoy here is to buy a wrist band which grants you access to many rides. Then secondly, get a Cordonas' top-up card and top it up for use in case your wrist ones fail. By the way, everything is here. This is Disney world in Aberdeen

Really nice and fun little place by the beach here. A perfect day out with family. Loved seeing the rides and restaurants

Went to Cadonas on a half price October offer. Good as only thing local - however nothing compared to what it once was. New wrist ticketing system works (most of the time). The food was not the best. Pizza was okay and unfortunately limited to one flavour. Outdoor food vans are expensive for what you are getting. The variety of rides have gone. Within an hour we had been on everything. Kids were also extremely disappointed - park opens at 10, outdoors at 12. To fill time we have always went to smugglers cove. However once you have done this they can no longer go on the new outdoor go karts. On this visit: smugglers cover outdoors was closed. Smugglers big slide closed (always is and staff just say no staff or opening later when it never does), Big wheel was closed for maintenance. Dodgems not included in all day band. “The Apple coaster” no longer has its Apple on the ride. New go karts we’re fun. However they are a gimmick during day, near impossible to overtake or have a fun family race. In the end, we spent a fortune on the day, entry bands, visit to sweet treat van, and paid for access to go karts. It was a good day out but few considerations: Take snacks with you. Only visit when half price (even the staff said it is not worth the full price bands). Cannot film on rides. Some let us, some we managed to hide camera. despite having a proper action camera secured to me - we were told either no filming allowed on park or no unsecured items.

We visited this venue a few times this week. No social distancing, no track and trace and not a lot of staff wearing masks. The Amusements were rubbish, most of the 2p machines were jammed and unusable, the ticket machines games were either broken or only working a little bit, or did not take the money... the Amusement are very run down. The bowling was good, was not asked if we wanted the bumpers up or down, the lanes were being cleaned after use. Cost was £13.60 for 1 adult and one child for one game. Private island golf ( outside golf), was £11.98 for a child and 1 adult for 18 holes, the golf was quite good, water was running freely through the volcano, streams and pirates ship. The indoor golf, was £11.98 for a one child and one adult, was good and fun, the holes are pretty basic, with the odd wood post around, there was a waterfall which was working. There are plenty of toilets within the theme park, kokart track seems to have 3 levels, there was long queues for token, and the food.

Plenty things to do !!! Bowling, lazer tag, soft play ,theme park, mini golf, plenty food places , arcades & go karts Good value for money. My 4 year old loved it. Plenty for that age to do. Lots to do indoors if weather isnt great. Thanks for a great time I went as a child and what money has been spent on it doing it up. Well done for maintaining it. Gutted the log flume and the rollercoaster has been taken away tho but its still really good. Highly recommend 👌

An arcade in Aberdeen, bowling was so good, we had 2 games. Go-karting though cold was good, on 3 levels and the cars are quite fast. Kids enjoyed the bumper cars as well as all the other arcade games. Was a lovely way to spend Easter.

Went go karting here. It was great fun. Lots to choose from, various fairground rides, arcade games, bowling, and lazer tag. Great bar. It's really worth a visit directly on the seafront. My nephews and neice had an amazing time, and so did i. Would 100% recommend it. It was not too expensive and I'll be coming back

It was all fun, I enjoyed the karting and bowling but wasn't happy because the roller coaster wasn't available to use except for public hols and when children are on vacation.

Had a great night out at the arcade with my kids, and I was surprised how good the food from the bar was, although at times even my kids felt they were getting milked for their pound coins. That being said, every machine spits out tickets which can be used to buy toys at the shop on the way out, and when it came to cashing out, they were pleasantly surprised at how much they could get with the tickets we collected that night.

We attended on a Friday in the middle of the summer holidays, we didn't have to suffer any queues at all and for the most part it was only us on the rides, an expensive day out but the kids love it so it's worth it to see them so happy😊 it's clean and the staff are polite and helpful. I would definitely recommend a visit to codonas especially if you have kids but I know us big kids love it too😜

Art gallery was very nice indeed. Has lots of very famous and popular inclusions housed within. Also has some new modern day instruments for those who may like to try out. Very popular with kids and adults alike. Nice afternoon and would recommend, also is very disabled friendly. With escalators and layout wheel chair accessable.

Another magnificent gallery/museum in Scotland and all free! Located in strict city centre, few minutes walk from the train station and budget hotels. Superbly appointed interior after major redevelopment in completed in 2019. Bright, airy, elegant, contemporary space divided into 18 unique galleries on 3 levels. Plenty of exhibits and theme room will keep you occupied for couple of hours at least. Library and learning centre on the site. 2 coffee shops with the most delicious homemade scones, plenty of well maintained toilet facilities and lift. Handy foldable seats in each gallery for those who need to rest. The space to explore or just chill. Great combination of modern and old architecture. Pure gem. Highly recommended

Not too big/overwhelming. Great focus on regional artists. The exhibition on James McBey was inspiring, never heard of him before but will be doing more reading into his life! The area for new local artists and selling of local art and crafts is something every art gallery should do.

Beautiful gallery with a mix of traditional and more modern art, including stuff more Scots. Clean (if not weirdly designed) toilets. Cafe downstairs and up. Incredible views from the top floor. Well worth a visit.

A place where you just feel free, relaxed and let all the emotions floods in. It's my second time here and in the last 6 months, most of the art pieces has been updated. This means you'll get to see and experience new art pieces and I'm loving it. You won't get the feeling "I've been here, seen that" and it's free! (But do contribute some donations). Staffs there are super friendly and helpful. Do go on the highest floor and there is a cafe with beautiful outdoor seatings to enjoy a cup of coffee with cool breeze.

What a lovely art gallery! Great collection of paintings, many donated by a 19th century granite industrialist who was a keen collector as well as an artist in his own right. The museum also has a lovely collection of contemporary ceramics and glass. Very nice museum in a lovely building.

Free entry. Super helpful and friendly staff, nice building. I had only 1 hour to spend there, so I couldn't enjoy all the interactive options, but there are many. So if you go there with children, they will love it, too.There is a big enough luggage locker as well, which was very handy to me, as I had planned to go there before I left the city. I mostly ignored the modern art items, and loved the others. I highly recommend going in.

It's quite an impressive establishment with an interesting collection of items and artefacts. It comes across more as a museum than a gallery. The location is ideal and convenient - right in the city centre, and wheelchair access is provided all over the building. There is a cafe in-house which serves nice breakfast items by 9am. Overall, it is a good experience for people of all ages, and admission is free.

I haven’t been in a better art gallery for a long time. Beautiful building which we understand was recently down, lovely use of space and some excellent works of art and the Magnum exhibition is excellent. What I really appreciate is the level of inclusion for kids and artists so you can explore art. I don’t recall a better example of a gallery appealing to different people so well. Staff super friendly and helpful, I have really nothing negative to say.

First time up in Aberdeen and it was a must to go to. Highly recommended. Friendly staff who advised us to stay inside because of the rain that was about to come outside. A large range of things, similar to the National Portrait Gallery down in London

Very clean and modern gallery. Took our kids who are 4 and 8 and they loved it. Interactive parts and the drawing room (11?) was really good. And if it’s a nice day I think the cafe on the top level with outdoor seating and unparalleled views of Aberdeen would be a must visit

My wife and I visited on a sleepy Tuesday afternoon. The first thing to say is about the building, it's a magnificent setting and a real assest for the city. Just stunning. The art is a bit up and down. They have a Monet and some excellent pieces from the 1600's and 1700's. A lot of these we spent some time looking at, as well as one or two of the newer pieces. However, some of the modern art is not much more than trash, in my opinion. It's not my thing, you maybe can tell, but I do like some modern pieces. Not wavy lines though, perhaps it's a taste thing but the modern pieces here left a lot to be desired. However, all in all, it is very worth a visit. Like many art galleries and museums in Scotland, it's free, which is always great. The items in the gift shop are far, far from free though!

My partner’s cousin brought us into Aberdeen as we have never been here before. We came to this art gallery and whilst pressed for time, we saw an awful lot. I loved all the displays, and was pleased my partner (whom has mobility issues) was able to use a wheelchair and everything was disabled friendly. Plus I was pleased to see large print guides available too, so my partner could read about the art displays as his eyesight isn’t the best. A highly recommended museum and considering it’s free it’s packed full of things to do for adults as well as kids. I loved the little sketch books as well, but I didn’t use them as I can’t draw 😂

Excellent art gallery with 19 different 'galleries'. Very enjoyable afternoon visit and the best thing is the free entry. Please consider making a donation as it really is for a good cause

Amazing, free entry lots to see & do. Cafe at the very top, little pricey but had an amazing view. There were sketch books left out at the seating areas for people to draw. 10/10 I loved going through them. Overall, we had a great time.

I really like this beach, very long coastline, facilities within easy reach, nice views and little litter. Good chances to see dolphins here from time to time! Many herring gulls about, as is standard for Aberdeen, but lots of other species too including guillemot and turnstones. Good for a walk or jog, always felt safe here even when alone.

Fantastic, mostly clean beach. Sea, sand, sea gulls and all the usual beach stuff 🤷🏻‍♂️ theres the carnival nearby and a range of cafes and shops etc. well worth a visit

A very lovely beach, we just moved to Aberdeen a month ago. We enjoyed visiting the beach as it was lively and beautiful. It is clean and has quite a bit of bins if you want to throw something away. The water seemed quite clean as well. There is a car park or on road parking, not sure what would be the best way to describe it. There is also enough benches around and pathways to walk on if you don’t want to walk directly on the beach.

At this time of year it's a very quiet location so the ideal place to chill out and relax. Wonderful view.

Good spot for overnight parking. Plenty of shops and restaurants. Public toilets at the very end. The beach is really nice and great views.

Best part of Aberdeen beach is “Fittie” where there is a small fishing village. This area of the beach is best known by locals for swimming in the North Sea. If your lucky you may also get the opportunity to see local pods of dolphins and seals. Great place to come and relax and enjoy being by the sea.

Great beach and promenade but investment long overdue from Aberdeen City Council as with so many other aspects of the city. It could be a truly outstanding resource with some thoughtful investment.

A beach that stretches as far as the eye can see. Bracing north sea breeze to blow away the cobwebs. Parking along its length with a paved walkway. Popular with joggers and dog walkers.

This is an amazing, peaceful place, it must be nice to live in Aberdeen with this lovely esplanade so close to the city. The sea views are amazing and there are some really nice restaurants and coffee shops. My one complaint is why" The Range" house furnishings were allowed to build a really ugly great warehouse right on prime beachfront property. Surely there must have been other choices at one of many retail estates. It really is a blot on the landscape and spoils the otherwise perfect spot.

Nice and clean beach. Never knew Scotland was quite close to Norway. It wasn't that crowded when I visited; however, it was a windy day.

Very peaceful sandy beach, one of the best beaches in Scotland in my opinion. You've got the beach itself, & you've also got the amusement park nearby.

This is my most favourite place in Aberdeen whenever i feel sad or life is not ok i enjoy being here near to sea it makes me forget my problems and it really looks astonishing when u have a storm at bay.

Worth the visit for anyone interested in history, cathedrals, or architecture. It’s smaller than some cathedrals in the country, but its beauty does not disappoint. There were two guides who were very friendly and helpful.

According to legend, St Machar founded a site of worship in Old Aberdeen in about 580 where the Cathedral sits today, has been rebuilt and renovated several times through the years and is looked after to this day (the roof actually just got finished, massive repairs that took a couple of years), and they’re extremely proud of the Cathedral and its history. There’s a few featyres of interesting features I’ll mention: The heraldic ceiling within St Machar’s cathedral was built in 1520 from oak panelling and features 48 heraldic shields and coats of arms. The shield of Pope Leo X is in the centre surrounded by archbishops and bishops in order of importance. Some of these shields are Earls from all around Scotland, Saint Margaret of Scotland, James V of Scotland, Charles V of the Holy Roman Empire, Francis I of France, King Charles V of Spain, Henry VIII of England, Sigismund I of Poland, Christian II of Denmark and more. There is also the Class II Pictish Cross Slab, aged around 600-843CE, likely closer to the 600’s as that would be around when the Cathedral was first built! And finally, apparently part of William Wallace is buried within the grounds after he was executed in England and quartered, where his left quarter ended up in Aberdeen and is buried in the walls of the cathedral and is marked by a star on the wall. Lots of history in one small place, from Pictish, to Scottish Wars of Independence, the Scottish Reformation, ancient carved wood, elaborate effigies, historically important individuals buried within the grounds, and is just utterly gorgeous. Especially in the spring when there’s loads of bluebell.

I came here as a kid, about 35 years ago. The park itself hasn't changed much since then... I actually remember some of the exhibits... and you know what? That's not a bad thing. It definitely has character, and my kids still loved it. I'd sum it up as so naff, it's come full circle and become cool!!! The soft play is fairly new and probably the best in the North East. Definitely worth a visit to Aberdeenshire's answer to Disney Land!!!

It is a good venue for the kids. Inside the den is a huge soft play climbing area . Separate area for the little ones but just as much fun with slides and ball pit. Cafe onsite. During busy times ie weekends +school holiday you can be limited to 90mins. They have a loyalty card for midweek use only. The Glen part is a big outdoor area with character statues from old tales and rhymes , with a few modern ones too. I do think they need to spend some time updating some of it as looks unloved mostly. There is a chicken house with live hens and cockeral. I was surprised to see the statue of ' Old woman who lived in a shoe' there smacking her child ! ( see photo ) Don't think it's appropriate in this day. My son was asking what she was doing to the boy. I wouldn't go back to the Glen outside but will be back to the den inside. Need to pay for adults and children outside Glen but only children inside den.

We frequent this soft play quite a lot. The staff are lovely. The play area itself is good, the outside glen is very dated and needs attention. But unfortunately the main problem is it's so cold inside the den. The heating is never on and it's like an ice box because the building is just breeze blocks and metal. There are heaters but in all the times weve been here, theyve only ever been on once, its just poor. The kids come away with cold hands even after playing and running around for a long time. Hopefully they take this message as a sign that they need to sort the problem out because it doesn't make the experience nice, especially for the adults sitting at the tables absolutely frozen having to wear outdoor jackets, indoors. They've also just increased their prices, clearly not to pay for the heating though 🙄

Pretty nice place. Big open soft play with chutes, football arena, climbing obstacles and more. There is a crawlers area for little ones and then it progresses to the older kids. Fairly priced and the food is also fine. You get time slots of approx 90 minutes. You should get the loyalty card if you're planning on going a handful of times as the 8th time is free if I can remember right.

Super.A very good attraction for families with children and not only. Characters from many fairy tales seen from childhood. I recommend this place .

This place is fantastic for kids and adults. The Glen is an outside park with statues of all your favourite storybook characters from Noddy to Cinderella and Tellytubbies to Wee Willie Winkie and The Simpsons. Took us about 2hrs to walk around. Some parts are not really accessible for prams or wheelchairs as they are on steep hills or rocky paths but this really only applies to a few. The Den is an indoor soft play with café. If it's really busy you are on a time limit. Bit manic and noisy but it is a soft play. The food is ok. Just a typical café menu. The Glen is far better. The kids enjoyed the whole day and that's the main thing! Would definitely recommend and will come back by next trip to Aberdeen 😁

Went to The Den and he Glen today with my 6yr old nephew. Weather was glorious. School was back in session. We went to the den first.. ie..the soft play . There is a good size soft play for kids up to age 3years. The cafe kiosk is also there. There are plenty tables and chairs..all immaculately clean. We went further and got to the soft play for the older children. It was a great size with lots of things for them to do as well as usual stuff. My nephew loved the ball swing. He chose a lunch box..which u pick 5 items. I had a large latte and egg sandwich which came with homemade coleslaw and salad. The filling was deliciously seasoned. After that we went to The Glen. I paid £5.00 or I'm going into soft play then I paid for me to go outside. It's well kept ..grass cut....story book characters are all getting painted. All in all a fantastic day . Staff are lovely too

There is something special about this place. It has been on the go since I was a kid and I'm 40 years old!! I took my little one and he loved it!! Definitely worth a visit. Only thing is that some of the attractions look a bit tired and need a good paint.

This place gets a lot of stick for the quality of the statues but let's face it, if they were too good they'd get slapped with a lawsuit, so it is what it is. The kids will still love it. The grounds are beautiful and a sun trap. Great for a picnic too. The den is great, letting your little ones burn off extra energy after exploring the grounds. The entry price is very reasonable, especially if visiting the den and the Glen. The food in the cafe is great quality too.

Unintentionally brilliant. Pure nightmare fuel. Only take your kids here if you want them to become maladjusted adults. My husband went a few times as a child. I had been asking him to take me here for years, he finally succumbed. It did not disappoint. On a serious note, the animals were cute, and there should be more of them. The goats were cheeky though, and they kept on escaping. The land is beautiful, and it’s a shame that more wasn’t done with it, as it has real potential.

Spent Christmas with Mum here this 2019. Such a quiet and peaceful place. Although it all looks greyish, it’s still beautiful. I love the uniformity of granite buildings. Lovely Scotts as well. :)

Lovely cute museum and good for like half an hour of you're just looking but about a hour if you're stopping to read everything. They provide you with an information leaflet and would answer any of your questions. A good place to visit while in Aberdeen. Walking distance from the city center and also the maritime museum.

What a very interesting little museum. Great dark history of Aberdeen. The only draw back is the stairs. Very narrow and steep. Make use of the rope to aid you on them.

Worth a visit. It’s free and there’s lots of medieval history here to learn. The stairs are very steep and tight hence it’s not safe for everyone.

Not a lot to see, but still interesting. Very steep steps and small rooms. Make sure you visit at least an hour before closing time. We were turned away a half an hour before it was due to close.

A good preservation of city's history. Presented a good representation of the conditions convicted murderers, debtors, alleged witches and others faced during the 17th and 18th centuries.

A very interesting museum, entrance is free. Any ladies who visit it would be a good idea to wear a pair of flat shoes, as the stairs are steep narrow and winding to say the least. Be sure to give a donation on your way out, to help keep this fantastic museum open.

What a fantastic pub! Popped in for drinks and food with some colleagues and had a great time. The food was brilliant and great value for money. The service was great and Michelle was so friendly and looked after us all night. Will definitely be back soon.

I really wanted this to be a cool experience. The interior is pretty cool, even if the 2nd floor was closed for whatever reason. It just seems like the staff were so overworked and spread this that not only ly were they consistently frustrated, but it puts them in a place in which their drinks are not made for taste or flavor, but as conveyors to intoxication. A place with a great style and concept like this really should be able to have well made drinks. Maybe it used to.

I can only say positive things about this place. The location has a very cool atmosphere as well as a great range of creative and unique drinks. Tonight we spontaneously took part in the pub quiz and it was a lot of fun despite my small team’s score being mediocre at best in the end^^ The quiz master was a very funny guy and he even provided us with a phone charger once we were low on battery. The food was also very good and the prices were fair. Last but definetly not least I want to mention that the kind, beautiful, red-haired lady who did a great job behind the bar might, at least for me, have been one of the highlights of the evening as well ^.^ Which of all those things may or may not have been the reason I visited a second time in my short trip to scotland, despite plenty of other options being available is up for discussion I guess… Whenever I‘m gonna visit this nice country again, I‘ll make sure to plan a stop in aberdeen at a certain church I guess :)

Good atmosphere. Liked the gothic church feel. Food was average. My rump was perfectly done as asked for. My brothers steak could have been better. Peas were old for sure. Chips were great. Probably needed more staff then would have rated service higher. Decent beer selection

The best pub in Aberdeen hands down. It’s got a cool gothic style and is inside an old stone church. There is always great energy inside, all the employees are super friendly and funny, there are great events every week (shout out to Wednesday quiz nights!!) and it has always been a good place for friends to go and have a good time. Would highly recommend!

I used to live in Aberdeen. This for me, was te coolest pub. You have to experience it, I cannot explain. If you like spooky things this is the place to be. I miss not being able to go here.

Amazing pub in the heart of Aberdeen city centre, great looking building both inside and out. It's warm and inviting inside with some really unique and historical decor, bar staff are always friendly and happy to help, outdoor smoking area and seating is great, although most of it is currently blocked off due to construction works.

I cannot really write a review about the food as I haven't eaten anything there, just drinks. The place looks definitely different than any other bar I've been to. The drinks were very tasty. Would go there again 👍

went out for my 20th with some mates and were treated like absolute KINGS. cocktails were great and really reasonably priced, everyone was gutted to leave but left absolutely delighted that we decided to go to Slains. need to shout out Ali and Adam for complete perfection in their customer service. good show lads, miss you already

Fantastically unique and individual pub in Aberdeen. The team are always so friendly and accommodating, thanks to Michelle and Amy. The food was great and very reasonably priced. There’s so much going on inside you just have to visit to experience how wonderful this pub is!

I've never had an issue in this place. Usually love the food and the cocktails. My mother is visiting today and I've taken her here. My order of chicken wings came out still frozen in the middle. Got new ones but awkward eating when the rest of the table are done. Ordered kids sticky toffee pudding. Got adults and pay for an adults. It paid like it had curry powder in it. Wasn't great. Would understand if it had been really busy but we were the only ones here.

Came to Aberdeen for a local event and ended up in Slains on three separate occasions over two days! Amazing atmosphere, great priced drinks and the food was brilliant. The venue itself is gorgeous and is well worth a visit!

Spent the whole lunch/afternoon in this pub (Aberdeen - Frankfurt). Didn't manage to clear the tables, all full of empty glasses, food was okay, but no enrichment, no drinks menu...unique decor

Wonderful pub, based on the story in which Bram Stoker had the idea for his book "Dracula" on the real Slains Castle. Wonderfully dark, eerie and mystical. If you like it, you'll feel right at home here. I personally found it wonderful. The prices are moderate and the quality of the food is on par with a pub. There is nothing to complain about. For me, a visit to Slains Castle is absolutely part of a visit to Aberdeen.

Great place for delicious drinks and great music. Cocktail list is reasonably priced and is always great. Highly suggest visiting on an event such as Halloween.

Loved the gothic vampire vibes in here! Food was excellent and reasonably priced. If I lived here in Aberdeen, this would be a regular HAUNT !

It's very dark..and eerie and that's the idea! We went early and took advantage of the small plates offer.There was a problem with WiFi for using the app however we ordered at the bar. There was a problem with the price of the wine but this was dealt with efficiently.The food was served sooner than we had been advised. The food itself was tasty and we found the portion sizes good . The pub was quiet but it was sunny outside and early on Saturday! We enjoyed the theme and the experience. Really liked the menu and found it great value .

Really enjoyed visiting here, great location, great choice of cocktails, staff were friendly, great decoration, atmosphere was really nice, lots to do such as pool. Busy but not too busy. Unique toilets through a bookcase. Affordable cocktails loves it here would definitly recommend. If I come back to Aberdeen which I will, I will be returning here.

Stunning well kept park/gardens. Lovely pathways to enjoy different areas. Great pond with ducks and lilies just in bud so will return real soon to see the explosion of colour. A very pleasant find

A nice calm and quiet place will see old folks hanging out i go here whenever i want some me time or need space to meditate or read a book by the pond hear some ducks quacking ultimate relaxation

This is a beautiful tranquil spot in the suburbs of Aberdeen. You leave busy roads and walk into these lovely gardens. The rhododendrons are so colourful just now and there are so many beautiful species of trees and shrubs. The pond is lovely too with families of ducks with ducklings. There's also a moorhen nesting in the pond. A very peaceful place to have a walk round. I believe it's tended by volunteers. A huge thank you to them all for all their hard work.

Beautiful place, quite a steep hill to walk up, not particularly easy for manual wheelchairs or buggy users but once your up the hill its very nice

Beautiful gardens with loads to explore. Just a pitty most of the stunning red leaves had fallen. Still nice to walk around.

Really an Amazing park with beautiful landscapes , ponds, stream , waterfalls & a lot of variety of flowers . The beautiful bridges enhances the beauty of park and is a perfect place for photography & walks .

A very peaceful small garden. Have won "Britian in abloom Best Park Award 2002". Worth visiting.

Beautiful gardens ,so peaceful,with a beautiful pond and lots of ducks ,which the children love feeding.Also amazing features a small waterfall dropping down over the rocks ,and running into the pond and a beer bridge, giving views of all parts of the park

Beautiful quiet small park with duck pond, benches and big blue bridge. Lots of lovely windy paths, flowers, shrubs and trees. Toilets at the entrance. Car park across the road from entrance.

Visited in April. park with a pond, ducks over it, very small waterfall and number of seats to rest! Can spend an hour at this place. Free Parking in front of the park. Decent place.

Dropped by for a short stroll and then relaxed on one of the many benches dotted around the gardens. Lots of mallards in the pond and even a heron today.

Fantastic park in full bloom in June. Great for kids and dog walkers and a set off point for longer hikes around Den and Anderson woods. And not forgetting a fabulous cafe for lunch or coffee.

Love this park, so good for a walk around. There's play area for children and dogs ground where you can have your dog off the lead running around with other dogs.

Brilliant park. Clean, with plenty of beautiful gardens and green spaces, as well as outdoor activities for the kids. Perfect for a family day out. There is a coffee shop, laberyhtn, and petting corner within the premises. Strongly recommended.

We're so blessed to have beautifully maintained parks here in Aberdeen. Thank you council! Please visit Hazelhead Park with your kids or pets. It is an wonderful escape in the city with peace and tranquillity.

Amazing and beautiful. At the western most side of the city, yet not difficult to get there in my opinion. Plenty of space to park, you can buy some snacks inside (please dispose of your waste accordingly), and sit on a bench to enjoy the view. There is a memorial of the Piper Alpha incident, for us O&G people is quite touching.

Fantastic park with lots to do for children and adults. Only gave it 4 stars as it was really muddy and large puddles of water in the kids play park. Which meant some of the swings and play equipment was unavailable with water 3" deep but for this time of year cannot expect it not to be perfect. But it didn't stop us having a great day out.

Aberdeen is blessed with beautiful parks, Hazlehead is one of them. A world famous rose garden, excellent formal areas , kids play areas, petting zoo, with forest walks adjacent too! Spot the Gruffalo or the new Octopus sculpture. There is even a fenced dog exercise park. In season, you can enjoy take away ice cream and drinks from the kiosk or sit in at the cafe , inside or alfresco! Or bring a picnic to this great park!

What a beautiful park and so well maintained! The maze was fun and the children's play area looked amazing.

Beautiful park with large grassy play areas. Rose Garden is immaculate and has the Piper Alpha Memorial as centre piece. Please pay your respects to the victims of this tragedy. Several other small memorial gardens beautifully kept. Lovely woodland walks round the outer area of park, circling round the golf course. The maze is good to wander round you do get out again! Story of King Robert the Bruce depicted on Cairns, good history. The Pets cornet has a variety of animals and reptiles, with a visit for a small charge. The children's play area is at present being upgraded to new equipment. We'll presented an comfortable cafe offering snacks at good prices. Toilet facilities in portable toilet block/cabin could be better as access by steps, would be difficult for people with disabilities to enter. I would like to see a new solid build toilet facility in the near future. Good parking facilities, but on busy days/school holidays, parking can be difficult.

Visited last week with family. What a stunning venue. The staff were so friendly, everywhere was spotlessly clean. Our food and drinks were delicious. It's worth a visit for their sweet treats alone. 10/10

I mainly visit for the large enclosed grass area which is primarily in place for dog owners to let their dogs roam free without fear of loss. Obviously this part is for dog owners and people should be aware that dogs are off the lead here. Sunday is particularly great as there is a very fun puppy meet weekly where dogs can socialise / go wild. This is my focus but the park also includes golf, a zoo area, cafes and kids play area. Great outdoor facility in the heart of Aberdeen.

Hazlehead Park it's a must to see if you are in Aberdeen. Great place to bring your family and spend a lovely afternoon with your loved ones.

Big park for bairns to run about . Pet Corner was very entertaining for the wee one. Cafe is very good.

Hazelhead Park was steering with folk with kids and dogs...lovely atmosphere. Cafe was big long queue but food looks fantastic 😋 cappuccinos were lovely...fruit scone ..huge full of fruit and fresh as a daisy. Amazing wood carvings with everything from the Gruffalo....to an octopus..a frog and so much more Lovely vibe x

Nice restaurant, 1st time in years, Food I had was very good. Only negative really was the Volume of the Music, a bit too loud for good conversations to be had. I attend with a group, 5 - 7 people & we found it difficult to hear the different conversations going on. Do NOT know if your Restaurant Is Dog Friendly ????

Lovely park. Loads of facilities - good toilets, children's play park etc. But also lots of places to just be by yourself.

Very Nice Park. Went to visit and kids enjoyed there alot. Lots of activities to do and a very nice Cafe there too. Kids played in playing area and also enjoyed playing in Maze . There is a rose garden too which has nearly roses of all colours. All in all a lovely Park which we would like to visit once again if we go to visit Aberdeen.
