A great day out with family, a lot of information inside and different activities for kids.. planetarium one of the best 👍🏻.. good area for eating too. Car parking available just outside the space center

Much more to see here than we expected! The different levels and how everything was displayed made the experience more cohesive. We were a couple visiting, but could see there is plenty to keep little ones occupied - even dressing up costumes. We went to one of the shows in the auditorium, about the night sky, which was beautifully presented. The cafe offered a range of food, and at surprisingly low prices. The entrance price, though, is quite high (in my opinion), but you can revisit during the year.

Visited today and honestly had the best time! So much to see and do and really interactive for kids and adults! We visited as a family of 3, 2 adults,1 child and the price is really good, especially as you can visit again for a year for free! The food at the cafe was a really reasonable price and the small charge for a well maintained car park was gladly paid. The many different sections were brilliant and the planetarium is amazing! The areas are quite big so you don’t feel squashed in and can move around without having to dodge round people which was good! The staff were all lovely but a special thank you to David, who took time out to speak to my son about a particular star he was interested in that he couldn’t find information about in the museum. Everywhere is really clean (including the toilets) and well maintained, everything worked as it should. My son is 5 and wants to be an astronaut and has honestly had the best day out! Would highly recommend to anyone of any age and we can’t wait to visit again!

Fantastic day out, that good we upgraded to get an annual pass. I don't know who was more excited me or the kids. Plenty to see, lots of interactive stuff available for the kids. Gift shop & restaurant reasonably priced & the staff were approachable & friendly. Even though it was half term it was not as crowded as I dreaded beforehand.

Came in the afternoon time to avoid being busy. Straight in on arrival. Given a map and staff briefly explain for you. Spacious downstairs, lots of different interactive buttons to press for kids. Pictures and costumes with signs explaining everything. Information facts across the walls. When going upstairs it got quite busy and really hot, especially when waiting for the lifts. Didn't stay up there long as it was quite a small space so wasn't as interesting as the main stuff downstairs. It is good to visit on a rainy day for something to do inside. Was also given a free pass to come back as we booked online. Would probably come back. Long ques to come inside the shows, so didn't bother with that. There is also a cafe for food and drinks and a little shop for gifts.

Excellent day out. We had a fab time exploring all of the space center and doing some of their activities. The Sir Patrick Moore Planetarium was amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We will definitely be back for another visit!

Fabulous place with a ton of knowledge. I think it is too much space to cover in one day. Because it was a Bank Day weekend, it seemed a little bit overcrowded at one point. I think next time we visit the place we will do it during the week so it will give us the whole spectrum of emotions. Highly recommend visiting the Planetarium. This was the cherry on the top of the cake for, as we left it for the end of our visit. It was totally worth it. I highly recommend visiting National Space Center

I took my 3.5 year old child and he loved it. There was almost to much to take in for him. Although he can’t read most of the displays yet he still had a fantastic time interacting with the different areas around the space centre. There is a large ground floor area with a cafe and some different sections to explore, this ground floor has the Patrick Moore planetarium which is well worth a visit, sit in the middle seats for the best experience. There are 4 floors that can be accessed via stairs or lifts, all with excellent displays for all ages. £18.95 for a adult ticket, under 5s free and that ticket allows you to re visit for upto 12 months for free again. Car park is £4 for the full day. Great value for money.

Amazing value for money. Great day out with my 3 year old daughter. Very interactive but not entirely kid focussed, which means adults can enjoy a day here, too. Lots of well put together talks and live experiments from knowledgeable staff. The planetarium show we saw was "We Are Astronomers" and it was incredible - i honestly couldn't believe it was included in our ticket price!This place is cearly all about education and keeping the interest of science alive. They really do honour their motto of "science for everyone." Tickets get automatically upgraded to a season pass when pre-booking online. Parking is a set rate of £4 for the day (card and coins accepted). The gift shop is well stocked, with lots of interesting and fun bits and bobs, however it is all very expensive. Personally, i don't think there are enough bathrooms dotted around which made toilet trips with my toddler a bit challenging, however they are the only toilets i have been in that have both toddler and adult seats, which we found very useful. I didn't try the food at the small eatery, but it did smell amazing and would love to try it next time we go. There is a large hall with tables, highchairs etc and even a microwave for public use to eat home brought food/warm up baby food and it is kept constantly clean by the wonderful cleaners. Ultimately, this place is very cool and well worth the visit. I'd highly recommend anyone and everyone go check it out. The few staff i spoke to were kind, answered all of my questions thoroughly, and seemed genuinely excited to work there. Great atmosphere, not too over crowded (even on a Saturday). Great artefacts and lots of information on past, present and future space endeavours. Very interesting place to visit. Lots of various things going on at The Space Centre, so be sure to check out their website for info on upcoming events.

We had a great family day out at the National Space Museum. There’s plenty to do and we spent the whole day exploring the history of space travel. The atmosphere was amazing!! The facility was clean and tidy, the staff were friendly and helpful. The food was not over priced and the portions were good.

An amazing place for kids and adults alike. I've been wanting to come here for ages. There's loads to see, you can spend many hours here learning about the history of rockets, space travel, the planets and universe. Parking is £3 for the day and there is a canteen for snacks and stuff. There's lots of walking involved and the lift to the top where the tips of the rockets are is impressive! Don't miss the weather recording booth. It's a must and so much fun! You can put your email address in and have the video sent to you. Also one of the best things to see and experience is the largest planetarium in Britain. Be sure to not miss this and tilt your seat back for the show - mind-blowing! There is lots to interact with so beware of queues but the experiences are well worth it.

Really like this place with the kids, we got a family ticket in Jan and you get to upgrade free to an annual pass so we’ve been loads, it’s good for all ages, my 3 year old and I go the most. It’s good for a hour or you can stretch it the day with the kids. None of us get tired of going up the rocket stages. There are loads of fascinating things to look at interact with and read, we go a lot and always find something new. You can take your own sandwiches and eat at their tables, when it’s busy they open up multiple lunch halls and seem very accommodating. The coffees and hot drinks are very nice and reasonably priced, the food is limited. The toddler days are very good with activities and sing songs and the like, be warned some of the days are premium and you won’t get in with an annual pass. The shop has some good bits for under a fiver for the kids with the pens, pencils, badges and things like that, there are some expensive things as well. A good trip out with the kids.

We've absolutely loved spending our Sunday afternoon here! So many captivating things to do and to see! Will definitely come back soon, as we've blitzed through a couple of areas close to closing time. Parking was more than sufficient, but during more popular times it could get busier. It's a pay and display, I think we paid £4 for the day.

A great place for learning so much about space travel, missions, equipment and so much more! Highly recommend visiting to anyone who is interested in space. It might seem costly but definitely worth it! So many interactive things to do as well from watching the shows in the planetarium for a completely immersed 3d experience, to the interactive water area, to landing a luna module there is so much to do while you learn!

Wouldn't advise to go during the school holidays as it was a little maniac but that was my error for not thinking. Very educational experience which also was very interactive. Will definitely be back within the year. Very family friendly, cafe was busy but plenty of seating for you to bring your own food too for a cheaper day out.

Really enjoyed our visit here and we are already planning our next trip! The staff are super friendly and knowledgeable. There's so much to read about and a lot of interactive bits for the kids (and also for us as two 30 year olds!) Easy to find, cafe on site for a quick cuppa and snack. Great for all ages!

The entry fee of £18.95 for adults and £16.95 for children felt a bit steep. Unfortunately, the overall experience didn’t quite justify the price. The exhibitions leaned heavily on reading, which didn’t engage my child effectively. The absence of interactive elements made it less appealing for my son, potentially leading to boredom due to the extensive reading required. On a positive note, the Globe cinema stood out, providing a fantastic experience that somewhat compensated for the shortcomings.

Great day out. We spent roughly 4 hours looking at everything in the museum as there is lots to see and do. Particularly enjoyed the planetarium film.

Visted Easter weekend , this place has so much to offer We spent hours here ,although I read everything 🙃, plenty of things for the children to do and explore with .The planetarium was amazing and well worth the extra .

Some other reviews suggest that the Space Centre needs 3-4 hours to go round. We were there over 5 hours if you include lunch and watching a film at the planetarium. A great day out!! Definitely buy tickets in advance, and beware that the cost of parking is additional.

The only way to appropriately sum up our visit to the National Space Centre is to say we had a BLAST! Wow! What a wonderful place! We’re a space loving, nerdy family who generally love this kind of thing - but we’ve yet to find anywhere in the UK that scratched our space shaped itch… until now! The space centre is a fully immersive, family friendly and surprisingly accessible experience that goes to infinity and beyond with its fantastic range of displays, activities, exhibits and more! The planetarium was breathtaking! We saw the show that was so beautifully done that I had tears rolling down my cheeks. What was the real unexpected star of the show, was the Mission To Mars experience. It is so immersive that our 5 year old (who is usually the first to spot things that aren’t real) fully believes we went to Mars! It was amazing! She was chosen to hold Ada and still talks about it now, over a month later! The cafe, while serving simple dishes, offers a cheap and delicious way to eat while sitting under a real spacecraft! I would also like to mention, that as a hearing-impaired adult, the accessibility of this venue was wonderful. Staff went above and beyond to make sure I was able to get the full experience without feeling odd. I would wholeheartedly recommend the National Space Centre! Now that we have a year’s return pass (included in online bookings for the price of a single visit) we will be sure to go again this summer!

Had a lovely day here. Very impressed with the SEN provision and understanding both at ticket desk and throughout the day. Nice coffee in cafe and not too expensive. Excellent value as you can return as much as you want for a year under the one ticket. Plantatrium show was also great but my chair wouldn't recline, my only minor criticism.

The Space Centre in Leicester was not my choice for a day out but I felt compelled to go and explore as it's on my doorstep. There is plenty to see there and although not my cup of tea I could see thousands of people would disagree and loved it, the car park was large but it was rammed. Children of all ages I could see were captivated by this place which has got to be a good thing , broadening their imagination, plenty of interactive stuff to mess around with. Well done to all the helpful and well informed staff you're doing a great job 👋

We bought 2 adult tickets for £9.25 each. The tickets give you an annual pass to return for 12 months, although there is not a lot to return for. Whilst the history and story is very interesting we just felt some displays were too text heavy. Also whilst reading the text there are some visual displays in the same room with loud audio playing which is very distracting whilst trying to read. Some of videos like the press conference, don't appear to have any subtitles which would make it easier to follow the video as audio is quiet in places. The most interesting part of the museum is the burial site and the casket used to transfer the remains to the cathedral. It is an interesting piece of history and a fascinating story, just feel it could be better presented.

Lovely little museum with lots of information but laid out in a fun interactive way. Really interesting to learn more about King Richard. Staff really helpful and friendly. Very accessible for disabled. Easy to find. Need to visit the cathedral opposite to see where he is laid to rest

It was amazing. In fact I felt very emotional at the end. If you are interested in history it is a must do place. Leicester itself has lots of beautiful buildings. I'm so glad I decided to spend a few days here

Fascinating exhibition of some amazing work with just a little good luck thrown in. Sometimes the timelines run right to left which makes reading and understanding more difficult. The school party seemed to be thoroughly enjoying the dressing up.

Really good! Bit crazy you can't sit in the thrine that is so inviting to all who see it and has no sign in it.....apparently its a hazard.....compared to what?! But other than that, it's really interesting and is engaging for kids too and you can go back again for a whole year!

Lovely experience and a great mixture of visual, audio and reading for learning styles. I really enjoyed how it felt respectful and covered a lot of the story and media. Only comment would be it would be nice to have more “see the final resting place at the cathedral next door” or something to link it together!

The discovery of King Richard III's remains in the Grey Friars car park in 2012 drew both national and international media. We bought 2 entry tickets for £9.25 each which gives us an annual pass to return for 12 months, even there’s nothing to return. King was discovered buried under the carpark and an exhibition centre was built over the grave. U can discover all about Richard and War of the Roses, the story behind discovering him and a bit about DNA and how Leicester used to look when the car park was an friary church. U can walk over to the cathedral and see Richards tomb. Shame Cathedral was closed for maintenance so couldn’t get a chance to visit the tomb.

" A horse, a horse, my kingdom for a horse!" If you are interested in the history of our country and what became of King Richard 111 and the truth surrounding his life and brutal death this is an absolute must see. The story of how the king's grave was discovered is fascinating and brilliantly illustrated in a storyboard of wonderful detail throughout the rooms of this fine building in the heart of Leicester. The cathedral was closed for work so we were unable to see the tomb but you can see the actual grave site with the skeleton cleverly projected onto the excavation beneath a glass platform. Displays of weapons, armour, short films, rousing music and sound effects add to the atmosphere and understanding of this epic event in history. Highly recommended!

Great to see the updated story now that Richard lll burial place and it’s story how it was found is now available. Thoroughly recommended.

One of the museums worth visiting in Leicester Although there are not many collections, many of them are replicas. But the history of the Wars of the Roses is detailed in the life of Richard III The upper level is about finding and confirming the remains of Richard III. very interesting It's a pity that the real remains have been replaced The pavilion next to the entrance is the parking lot where the remains of Richard III were found before. You can feel the excitement of finding

My visit to The King Richard III Visitor Center was really quite something. The value is quite extraordinary since the one-time ticket purchase allows for continued free revisits for an entire year. The exhibit is very engaging, whether it is just the progression of text, or some of the really well-staged multi-media. I would recommend leaving some time for your visit as you are going to want to get lost in King Richard III's story. The staff in the entry way was friendly and helpful. I felt like I walked through history and I experienced where that history collided with the modern day as the remains of King Richard III were verified as authentic using modern science. Highly recommended!

We went as a family of four in the Easter half term as we were visiting family in Leicester. The visitors centre was a bit on the expensive side for what was there in my opinion. The few exhibits connecting to the actual dig and the body scan showing the injuries King Richard suffered brought the story to life. The covered dig site where King Richard III was actually found was tatefully done where visitors could see where he was found and even tiles from the original church. However, the rest was just wall to wall reading, with the first half being in very dim lighting. This isn't very inclusive to those with neuro diverse conditions. It is a small centre so we probably spent 15/ 20 minutes going around the whole thing. I was very pleased to have seen it, but I wouldn't have purposely planned a trip to go. We did pop across to the cathedral afterwards, which was very pretty and welcoming, and it was interesting to see Kind Richard III's beautiful final resting place. You paid a donation, and you were given a free hand-held guide. This allowed you to look and take everything in and read small sections of information when you wanted. There were guides dotted about so that if you wanted further information, then you were able to ask for it.

Small, but really good museum. We were unsure of how much there would be to see at the centre, as Richard III is actually interred in Leicester Cathedral, which is closed until the end of November 2023, but there was actually a lot to see and do. We stayed around 2 hours and found it very interesting and informative, throwing doubt, if not totally dispelling, the history of 'wicked' Richard III, painted by many including Shakespeare. Many displays are interactive, video interviews with the archaeologists, scientists and academics involved, plus Phillipa Langley, who played an integral part in the search for the remains of Richard III. The area of the archaeology trench in which he was found is still open and can be viewed under a glass floor in the visitor centre. The volunteer room guides were very engaging but not intrusive, and the staff were all friendly and welcoming, too. Tickets are good value, cheaper when booked in advance online and valid for one year after the first visit, useful as we will be revisiting when the cathedral re-opens. Pleasant café at reasonable prices. Website was rather vague re parking, suggesting car parks in the 'West & South Zones' of the city. We're not from the area, so we had no idea what that actually meant re proximity to the centre. We parked in Newarke Street Car Park (Sue Townsend Theatre) (LE1 5SN), a multistorey car park within easy walking distance.

This is a fantastic museum, across from the cathedral, where Richard now rests. Your ticket lasts a full year, and there are different prices depending on your situation. Inside, you are free to roam around and read about Richard, his history, his family, and his life. There is also a part that challenges Shakespeare and his view of Richard being a villen. There is also information on the archolgical dig which found him and the research used to confirm it was him. Then you see the actual hole he was found in under the car park. One of our characters from history and this is a good place to find out more. Cafe and gift shop with books too, staff are helpful. Guidebook also avadible

When here today with my 2 young children and they loved it. Thank not cost £25 for a family of 4 which is valid for a whole year, so you can go back for FREE for 12 months. There was a fair bit of stuff to do for the kids and lots of information. The staff were very nice and informative even suggesting other things to do in the local area. I would highly recommend a visit.

An excellent visitor centre not only looking at the history and myths behind Richard III but also the story of how he was discovered and the science involved in confirming his identity. Excellent staff on site to guide and inform. Cafe serves a good selection of hot and cold food and drink.

Took the family to see the Wizard of oz, an awesome night out for anyone young and old. Wonderful scenery, great singing incorporating all the songs from the film. Acting, dancing, singing and props were brilliant. The use of puppetry for Toto was inspired, the wicked witch stole the show for me, even considering getting some Ruby slippers to grab her attention!

Visited for Spongebob the Musical, which was a bonkers, fantastic experience. We ate in the cafe before the show, which was really convenient. The food wasn't fantastic, but we had envisioned eating at McDonald's beforehand, and it was a step up from that. Prices were a bit higher than a pub, so not ridiculous. The Theatre building itself was odd compared to all I have visited. The Auditorium being in the middle, with access all the way around it meant that the regular back stage areas were across the corridor from the stage itself. Seeing the actors running back to their dressing rooms was a novelty, but I do wonder how they find it. It was all concrete and brick in the main area, and didn't feel especially welcoming, although the lighting in some areas like the cafe changed that. The staff were lovely. Seats were pretty uncomfortable after half an hour though.

Really bright and friendly venue. Bright colours with pictures of past shows on the wall. You are literally surrounded in theatre. Comfortable seats with plenty of room and great view of stage. Saw Evita.

Love the building and it's design. You can get a bit miscombobulatd at times, special with the circular halls otherwise it's not conventional and that a good thing I think. Great theater space, excellent seating comfortable just a bit tight when you have to walk over people's feet to get to the middle seats. The acoustics are good and the lighting system is great. Concession stands are well equipped, but could use more alternative dietary options. Otherwise great experience and the shows are good highly recommend.

Fabulous theatre offering a broad range of musicals and theatre. I’ve seen everything from Shakespeare through to west end style musicals and everything in between. The seats all give a good view and are reasonably comfortable. The cafe, the green room, is also pretty good for a coffee and a pre-show snack. Highly recommend.

Great production (Matthew Bourne’s Romeo & Juliette). Good seats. Easy parking (pay for your parking in the box office to avoid queues at the pay station at the end). Awesome seeing backstage after the performance when they raise the sides of the theatre.

Excellent regional theatre, comfortable seats with plenty of legroom. Always produce some of the best shows around. Lovely helpful staff and the theatre itself is a work of art. Worth the long drive there and back every time!

Such a lovely busy place! Very clean, friendly staff and comfortable seating. Plenty of toilets and reasonably priced drinks. Only issue was the queuing system at the bar; this was a little confusing and not clear what people were queuing for, we felt like we pushed in. Parking can be purchased alongside tickets (for the NCP next door), you just need to get your parking ticket validated in The Curve. We watched the drama based on the movie/novel "The Shawshank redemption" in theatre no. 3. Was an amazing experience. The calm environment with amazingly quiet and immersed audience added to the whole experience.

We watched a modern dance version of Romeo and Juliet. We went a bit before and had a drink. I usually do not do people watching, yet seeing some people dressed up was nice. The facilities were enough to serve the full crowd for the big stage. It felt spacious during the break. The actors were kind of present on stage during the break. We parked right next to the theatre. Although there was some waiting line for the drinks and parking, it was a fun experience.

Amazing theatre, was fortunate enough to perform here with 'The Tiger Who Came to Tea' recently. We had a lovely time watching 'La Bamba' as well, would highly recommend

Worked at this venue recently with a tour show: Cirque The Greatest Show. It’s a big beautiful venue and very state of the art equipment! The in house crew were friendly and very helpful! The most interesting thing about this venue is the fact that at the end of the show the stage left wall comes up and all the members of the public could see backstage and watch us start the get-out!! What a fantastic way to get people more interested in the backstage industry!!

The Curve Theatre impresses from the outside....until you get right up close to it. I can think of no other modern theatre I have visited where the entrance and exit are so unlovely and uninviting. The street dining area - for the brave souls who wish to have a coffee outside whilst fending off beggars - is tiny and in shadow, which surely defeats the purpose. By contrast, the inside bar, cafe, and waiting areas are well thought through. There is a wonderful sense of space that is almost cathedral-like in its impact. There is, however, insufficient seating for the numbers seeking it. Given the age(ing) profile of most theatre going audiences in the UK, this is no small matter. The staff here were unfailingly polite and helpful (which feels like a bonus in these 'post service' times). The toilets, when I used them, were clean and well maintained (which is a definite bonus). The main auditorium itself is an impressive modern theatre going space with comfortable seats and plenty of leg room (everything that Frank Matcham theatres aren't). I was here to see "The Book Thief," a brave, powerfully emotive, but relentlessly downbeat, new musical. The staging was drab and spare. The lighting, harsh and sepia. But what unfolded was engaging and enriching. The setting of this musical was historical, but it felt current. Words are still being stolen from us and used against others in ways that should always shock and repel.

Great place, DeMontfort University use this venue for their graduation events. Its a fantastic venue, really well organised.

Been to this theatre 25 times over the years, as its our local main stream theatre from where we live in Hinckley & it puts on the shows that appeals to us. The staff are friendly and helpful. The theatre is well cared for & is the most modern one we visit. We will visit this theatre 3 times in 2024.

Visited last night to watch my beautiful laundrette, great production in the studio. Few beers and a bite to eat. Lovely evening. Only down side, was the filthy state of the NCP car park next door. Several homeless people milling about. Disgusting state.

Went to see a revival of the nineties comedy series Drop the Dead Donkey at Curve. Phoned box office and they arranged suitable seats for disability which was great. Most of original cast so it was a pleasure to re-live old times (most of audience were oldies) Brought up to date with some pithy comments and digs at politicians and celebrities. A pleasant afternoon's entertainment.

Had an incredible time watching heathers at the curve theatre. The theatre is beautiful with really comfy seats and despite our seats being near the edge of our row we still had a brilliant view. There’s no bad seats! The tour cast of heathers really are amazing- would 100% recommend you try to catch it before the tour ends!

I was on holiday and on a day visit to Leicester. It was great the Cathedral was open. I had visited before but it was very different this time, it seemed more welcoming. Most people know about King Richard 111 and the amazing discovery. There is good information about that event and obviously he is buried here. We enjoyed our visit and although it is free entrance you can leave a donation which is what we did. Well worth a visit.

It was really sad for me to not visit the Cathedral because it was closed for maintenance. But try to walk around n enjoy the view. Hope next time.

One of the most beautiful Cathedral in Leicester. It was built in between the year 1086- 1867. Its an Catholic Church.

Still closed for construction after one year and should open in 2024. So disappointed not to be able to visit the inside. But the staff was nice as they are now in the centre next door and still gave me a stamp for the pilgrim passport

Recently re opened after a 22 month refurbishment, Leicester cathedral has come more to the publics notice because of being the final resting place of the recently found King Richard III. The cathedral itself is substantially smaller than most others I've visited, but it is just as interesting. With some wonderful burials , windows and stories. King Richard III tomb is simple and beautiful, some may question if he deserves such a burial due to the alleged murder of the prince's in the tower. There are a couple of things , that hold it back for me , the recent refurbishment , although needed has taken some of the beauty away and the fresh paint near the roof seems quite garish. Secondly , although the volunteers were knowledgeable, 2 were exceptionally rude, barging into discussion I was having with other volunteers, without an apology or an excuse me. The cathedral is free to enter and as the refurbishment ages it will look better. However it is still worth a visit.

I attended the service celebrating 250 years since the founding of Leicester Royal Infirmary. (12th September 2021)The service was superb. Totally organised. The choir and organ music lent suitable gravitas to the event. It was such a pleasure to attend a live event. It was broadcast live on the internet and also recorded. I have a real affection for the Cathedral. I used to call in and meditate and pray when I was going through tough times. I always felt welcome and found a sense of peace and refuge. Added to which it has a great history of its own. It also is the final resting place of King Richard the third. It hosts many events both spiritual and social and is worth a visit and your time and attention. Consult the website and see what is available. You wont regret it.

A beautiful cathedral with friendly staff warm welcoming. Is the home of the burial place of Richard III with it's beautiful tasteful and elegant tomb. There is no gift shop but booklets are available daily services are held a and anyone can participate. Visitors can look around and enjoy the windows, monuments and carvings. Go early if you want unrestricted view of the kings tomb as it does get very busy. Although a cathedral it is smaller than most as originally it was a parish church and only in more recent years been designate a cathedral. Some admissions may be refused if services are taking place for wandering visitors or special services. Great cathedral to visit if you are in the area. Easy to get to, lots of history in there. Surrounding grounds are nice too. Place to relax inside and out while learning a lot too. Recommended if you are passing by or in the city.

Set in the quiet heart of the city, with an elegant public plaza at the south door. We enjoyed a very good youth choir at evensong. In fact, a lovely service in all respects. The new focus for the cathedral, and indeed for the whole city, is around the newly found link with the last of the Plantagenets. The dramatic statue, heroically capturing those critical moments at Bosworth, where Richard became the last British monarch to die on the battlefield. The monument in the choir, before the high altar, has created a pivotal refocus for worship in the building. It is very elegant and dignified

The cathedral has just reopened after significant visitor improvements. The King Richard III tomb area is very tastefully done. Free to entre - donations welcome. Well worth a visit.

Smallest cathedral I've ever seen, it is beautiful but it isn't the soaring breathtaking architecture you'd associate with most Englisg cathedrals. BUT....this place has the tomb of Richard III and so deserves a visit. The ossiary is fully accessible, it's dramatic and beautiful. I doubt there is another monarchs resting place that allows you to get so close.

Great to see this reopen after a lengthy refurbishment, been waiting to visit a while. Friendly and informative staff and a lovely little Cathedral. Also great to see the final resting place of Richard III. Would definitely recommend visiting.

What a gorgeous, atmospheric, simple cathedral. The 5/6 smallest I think, beautifully renovated interior, amazing colours and architecture. Highlight for me was the tomb of King Richard III. Incredibly moving and beautiful, modern tomb, and combined with the stunning stain glass windows a fitting resting place.

Absolutely love this place. Very entertaining for all ages. You can get really up close to the birds here and (most) are well behaved! Just be careful as some do nip! Very nice food from the cafe and a big play area for the kids. This is probably my forth visit and I thoroughly enjoy it every time!

Beautiful place that was filled with many magnificent birds. It's a wonderful place and is lots of fun seeing and feeding all the majestic birds and was made even more special by the end section where you even get to hold a few of them. The two gentlemen in the parrot garden were amazing too, as they were watching over the whole area whilst being so caring and considerate of the birds and answering any questions you may have/ assisting you with your bird experiences. We enjoyed ourselves so much we went around twice!

Never fails too please have bringing various children's groups i ran here from nottingham.even macho 12 15 year old boys who didn't think it'd be cool. They loved it. Since them I've bought my husband friends my own older children and grandchildren. Staff were really nice think they recognise someone who is struggling with mobility. So offered a wheelchair but I'm stubborn sp decided to walk the distance play with some of the birds at parrot walk which is still amazing and I've been coming here for many many years. Keep up the good work please though make up a booklet about the place and all the good work you do. Xx

What a lovely little place !! On our way to Kenilworth, thought we'd stop off and have a look. Some gorgeous birds, beautiful colours, loads of information on each aviary, and many many free flying parrots, etc. All looked really well cared for. A little woodland walk, a well priced cafe. The obligatory shop to walk through on the way out. Reasonably priced - us old folk were £7.35, but a family of 4 was £31 - which, for what you've got here, is very good value. Play area looked good. Loads of picnic benches. Several toilet blocks ... and loads and loads of birds, many tame and happy to sit on your shoulder.

Great place to spend the time and have a fun. Fantastic place for the families. Plenty of parrots. Some of parrots are sitting outside so you can touch them, feed or hold on your hand/arm. A lot of very big and colorful parrots as well as very tiny. Except the birds there is a small wood to walk and the picnic area with the playground. There is a shop and the coffee shop with snacks and the ice creams. Car park free of charge. Few toilets. I was really enjoyed the trip there and I made some good photos of birds. Yes, I recommend this place. Especially for the children who like the animals.

Great place to visit. My son has autism and loves visiting this place . The interaction with all the exotic birds is great. He loves being able to hold them and feed them . He really opens up. There's a great gift shop and small bags of fruit and nuts you can purchase to hand feed to parrots. He would visit daily if he could. Highly recommend a visit.

So we went here probably around 8 years ago with my eldest. We loved it back then and we still loved it now. The work the staff do here is fantastic. There are a variety of birds and when the weather is good it is a great place. Lots of benches for picnics, as well as a lovely play area. The highlight has to be the birds at the end near the cafe, which sit and climb on the guests. You can stroke them and sit them on your arms. Be awarded they like buttons, sunglasses and can tear your clothes with their beaks. But it is all part of the experience. I would definitely recommend, if you have never been before.

A great place, I especially recommend it to people who are struggling with depression, although it is quite loud there, Birds allow you to calm down and give a lot of tenderness, you can feed them, although sometimes they can grab a finger 🥰, clothes preferably with a zipper, no buttons, earrings, chains, the camera is also nibbled. Great place, I will go back there at least once a month. I started sightseeing at 12:30 pm left with closing at 4:30 pm. There is a cafe where you can eat a hot meal and drink, there are toilets, a large playground for children, a place to sit outside

Just loved my time here. Thoroughly blew my expectations out of the water. £10 for entry and £2 for some nuts (for feeding birds) and off I wondered. So many beautiful, friendly birds to say hi to and feed, and then the huge interaction area where all their parrots and other tropical birds can be fed, stocked and can sit on your arm! Such a peaceful and fulfilling experience. Obviously you need to read all their signage and observe etiquette for interacting with them. Keep kids under control etc. Can't rate the park and other staff highly enough. Plenty of team members about to help and instruct you. As 80% are Rescue birds it's just so worth your time to experience this and support them with a visit. Brilliant. Loved it.

Great place to visit, adults and children alike will enjoy. All birds looked nicely kept, good sized enclosures. Ability to buy food for the birds with clear coloured plastic discs situated on the side of enclosure stating which food is suitable for each of the birds. Picnic area had plenty of tables and space. Toilets clean and good hand washing facilities. Brilliant play area for the kids of all ages. Walk through parrot section is good fun but be warned, the parrots like to nibble zips, ties, hoody laces etc. Staff there to rescue you and out the birds back on their perches if you wish. In summary, a fantastic day out.

Amazing place with so many species of birds. The last section with the free flying birds was the best. The birds are all very tame and will happily walk all over you. It’s great if you are a bird lover. You can buy small packets of nuts/other foods to feed the birds. I would advise going early as then the birds will be hungry and take the snacks off you. We went just after lunchtime so by then the birds are pretty full. The price is really cheap too, great for a family day out.

Me and my friend took her children here for a few hours and absolutely loved it! We managed to get a family ticket for £36 and paid an additional £6 for some food for the birds (a bag full of different types for all the birds). It doesn't take long to walk around the place, but if you stop at each exhibit and read about the birds, then it does make it longer. We found the information really interesting, and the majority of the birds were visible. We were greeted by a little bird who decided to take comfort on my friends shoulder half the way around, which was really cute too. They have a play area for the kids next to a picnic area and a cafe. I'm not sure about the prices of the cafe as we took our own lunch. They also have a walk through area with some of the parrots on perches, and you are able to feed, hold and stroke the birds. The staff were on hand if there were any questions and for general assistance. Overall, a good few hours out, you could probably spend the day here and stretch it out but I think we had done in about 3 and a half hours. Would recommend!

We had a great time out, it isn't huge but we managed to spend 5 hrs there. The prices are reasonable, and it was so much fun. The staff were great, especially in the parrot walk, helping out and answering toilets. The cafe was also well priced, and a small wait but given how busy it was, it was not too bad. The park is brilliant for kids, and there is a fair amount of seating. Loved feeding the beautiful birds x

Lovely place, I try visit atleast once a month (I have an annual pass) 😊 but the level you get to interact with the birds names this better than most zoos for me, you also have some different animals here, Meerkats recently got added, you have Goats 🐐 many different types of birds you have Wallaby's, Ostriches so it's got a good variety but the main attraction for me is the bird walk at the end just seeing them out in the open seeing every birds personality makes you appreciate them a lot more! So definitely visit if you ate thinking about it! If you're brave enough you can have them on your shoulder or just fed them you can buy nuts and fruits at the entrance to feed them

We went an hour and a half before closing and wish we got there earlier. What a fun day! I have never seen anything like it. The birds are just sitting waiting for you to come up to them with feed. They climb onto you and you can get some wonderful pictures with them. Walking round we had a parrot even say hello to us! We had a wonderful time (as an adult couple) and think people of all ages would love this as a day out. Very affordable too. Also the goat was lovely! Super friendly.

It’s a while since I was last here and they have made some great improvements in the aviaries as well as adding some interesting new birds. We have been fortunate enough to visit aviaries all over the world including Brazil and Argentina in the last couple of months. For me, Tropical Birdland is right up there, despite being a small, family run business. It’s one of the very few place that allow you to handle parrots. It was the first time I've handled a Hyacinth Macaw ,an absolute dream for me. #LoveNeville

Amazing place to visit with kids! They also have a cafe called the macaw but it was really busy so best to get a table and save a seat. Staff were really friendly and nice too and were always around to help with getting birds off if they get too excited

Great Park with lots of different tropical birds. Mainly Parrots and Parakeets. You can get close to them and feed them. Well managed and maintained. Lovely for an afternoon out with children. Have a snack at the cafe. Let the children play in the little playground.

Absolutely fabulous! Me and my girlfriend went as it opened at 11 and there was no wait to get in! It is completely free as well which is amazing. We didn’t spend long in the animal place as we wanted to see the art gallery. This had lots of beautiful paintings which we spend a long time admiring. We also loved the Picasso ceramics. My personal favourite part however was the dinosaur place, featuring an enormous skeleton which was 40% complete of a real dinosaur!!! It also had other smaller skeletons which were very interesting to look at. At the end we had a look in the gift shop which was very cute and we got some Grow your own cress dinosaurs!!! Overall we spend about an hour in there and we 100% recommend it!

This museum is called the new walk museum. it's situated in a Very historical part of this picturesque city. Entrance is free. It's well maintained and the structure of the building is a majestic blend of Old and New. It's not a large museum like that in London but yet a Nice to visit Place for anyone keen on such places.

I had a great time at the museum! There was a lot of diversity in the exhibits, which was great for my group because we all have different interests. The "I grew up 80s" was definitely a favorite though! I would highly recommend anyone to go here. We spent about 2 hours there and that was plenty of time to see everything and read many of the signs.

One of a nice place to visit in Leicester is this museum. Free entrance, nice shape of building. Easy access, interesting exhibition hall that change by season. I visit when the Leicester punk and art season. Nice, beautiful, educating. And could always find souvenir area that has many interesting stuff🙂 Briliant

This must be one of the best Museums in the country and it's free to enter. It's got a ton to see and do. There is everything from dinosaurs to Egyptian mummy's. And then some real fine art and crafts. When we visited there was the punk exhibition on and. It has so many cool costumes and artifacts from the 70s punk era. It truly is a must see if your a old school punk.

Overall really good as there is lots to study, learn and explore. They no longer have the cafe, it has been replaced with a not so great vending machine and coffee machine. There is a den room for children which is great for parents with small children.

Extremely good, free walk in, easy to understand the historical side and exposition concepts (at least the graffiti one). It's fascinating how museums like New Walk capture times. It's like a time travel machine and being able to see here a rock that is over 4,000 billion old is one of the best thing I've experienced in my life.

A beautifully maintained and presented space, with really helpful staff and very interesting exhibits. The archeological and the Egyptological sections were particularly fascinating. Hoping that people keep contributing to the fund so that this place continues to be free to enter.

We found this to be a little gem, the staff at the reception were so friendly and helpful. You could spend a good couple of hours here with art exhibitions from a good variety of moments and artists, some having a section to themselves. The museum side was very pleasantly surprising like the tardis it seemed to be so much bigger on the inside (we weren't able to go everywhere as some work was being carried out) there was some interactive pieces for the children like dressing up and so on. The only thing that took the shine off the visit was when we used the cafe the lady behind the counter came across as quite rude and I ordered a large drink (she gave me a large cup but only half filled it so was a waste of time asking for a large one)

Visited for the grew up in the 80s exhibition. Well put together with a lot of nostalgia and recognisable items for all ages. Museum in general still has its charm and even though the main exhibits haven’t had huge changes, bring back childhood memories! Arrived around 11:30 and wasn’t too busy for a Saturday.

We made a visit yesterday with the kids as its half term. The last time I went was 10 years ago so was very excited. The kids really enjoyed this place so much to see and learn. Really good. Worth a family day out or just poodle around on your own. Went end of July 2023. FYI to staff there is a huge moth infestation destroying your dead animal display (for the life of me I can't think of the right word and I'm going to kick myself afterwards).

Has great one off shows. Best collection of German expressionist art in the country. Is a little bit dated, but don't think it gets a lot of cash. Nice cafe and situation on New Walk, although New Walk is looking a little unloved lately. Free parking close by on a Sunday

A clean and vibrant museum to visit. Well spaced out and felt very maintained. A variety of different exhibits to visit. We did visit pride weekend so some areas more crowded to get into than others however they had a punk exhibit on which made my day :) highly recommended

The staff were very helpful and I found it very interesting to learn about some of the city’s history as well as view the amazing art pieces 😍. Free admission and a little cafe for a light bite or a coffee. Would highly recommend 👍🏻 especially if you’re visiting Leicester for the first time! Also, the Revolution bar is less than a 5 minute walk away, amazing place to go for a bite to eat!

This is a completely free museum! And it’s open on Sundays There are a lot of parking spaces next to it, which is very convenient Although the museum is not big But offers a huge collection! And suitable for family tours First of all, you can see dinosaur fossils on the first floor! There is a giant dinosaur bone fossil in the middle of the exhibition hall. Children will definitely love it! When you walk in, you will see specimens introducing animals from all continents. Very interesting and lively! In addition, it also has an exhibition hall introducing the history of Leicester. Tells a lot about the local Indian ethnic groups and the development of leicester from ancient times to the present What surprises me the most is that I can actually see Minaoyin here! And it’s closer than the British Museum You can see their faces very clearly in the exhibit At the same time, feel what they were like when they were alive Of course, the museum also offers wonderful oil paintings Visitors can sit on the sofa and rest slowly Appreciate the beauty and detail of oil paintings carefully if you live nearby This is definitely a place worth coming to relax

A great museum, especially considering the free admission. There are a number of great exhibits that kept me and my 5 year old son interested for most of a day. The highlights being the dinosaur and Ancient Egypt exhibits. It blew my son's mind that there are 4 actual mummies in the museum. The cafe is no longer open in the museum, however there are a number of cages close by. We went to the Kings Coffee House for lunch and would definitely recommend it.

Good to know the fun facts of mummies and how to make it. It's a small museum, however, it has diverse exhibitions, such as dinosaur, ancient Egypt, art and galleries. It's free for entry.

Fascinating to learn of the rich history of Leicester 🤩 The staff were also amazing, kind and friendly!! I also bumped into 2 ladies who told me about the work of the university in finding Richard’s remains 😮 both terrifying and surreal 👍🏻 Free admission so definitely worth a visit, also some little challenges for children to complete

We were exploring the city for the first time and came across it by accident. It looked interesting from the outside and decided to go inside to investigate. It is free to entre. The building was very well maintained considering the age. Much time and investment was put into to bring it to what it is now. You can wonder around freely or book a guided tour. I would recommend a guided tour if you are interested to know more about the building and its purposes. Otherwise there is not much information available. Worth the visit if you are interested in history, building and the city.

Returned 30/05/2033 Kids crown and flag craft (free) Lots of interactive parts that interested my daughter. She's obsessed with jails, so loved the cells part. She would have liked to be able to go inside a cell and role play. Friendly staff. Let us park our large trailer in the courtyard for safe keeping. Free entry! Some interactive stations for kids. Jail section which my daughter would love so I will have to return. Clean toilets. Cafe and gift shop. Outside area. Would make a lovely spot for a quick picnic.

Attended Candlelight: The Best of Joe Hisaishi on Sat 20th Jan at The Guildhall Leicester. It was a wonderful evening, and fully enjoyed by our whole group. Beautiful music played by talented musicians, amazing setting and atmosphere for an overall lovely and moving evening. Very friendly staff. Really interesting Museum adjacent to Leicester Cathedral and close to the Richard 3rd exhibition, at the time of visit there was free admission but donations are accepted. The cells and particularly interesting, the museum is definitely worth a visit.

A really engaging tour of the place, despite being small, the history of the place was brought to life by the tour guide who provided a historical narrative. Which incidentally grew as the tour progressed, starting at 8 people and ending with almost 20..

It's a free admission museum. Opens in the late morning. Probably around 11am. There are some places that might be able to scare you just a bit, specially if you are visiting alone. Bought a souvenir ( a red feather pen). Card machine was not working, so had to pay with cash.

It's free so might as well go. Cute little building with some interesting archaeology and museum stuff. Little balcony bit with a view of the cathedral which makes for a lovely pic, as demonstrated with me modelling. Kind staff and I like that they hold talks there too.

Wow this place is cool as heck. There's plenty to see and it's free entry so you really get value for money. We visited during the summer holidays and it wasn't too crowded. Also on site is a rather nice little Caffe that's got cheap drinks for sale especially with it been in a prime location in the city.

Visited this musuem as it was near the cathedral and the cathedral was closed. The guildhall itself is impressive and some interactive exhibition about medieval life in Leicester. Not bad for a free museum.

Small but definitely worth seeing. Learn about some of Leicester's history. Wonderfully preserved old town 'council' hall, including a couple of cells that used to hold prisoners hundreds of years ago. Medieval building feel.

The Leicester Guildhall is free to enter, although you can and should make a small donation. I appreciated being able to take my time and work my way through the different sections and different exhibits. The staff there was helpful and friendly. The Guildhall is ideally located so that you can enjoy it at your pace, and then when you're ready, you are nearby other attractions in Leicester. The Leicester Guildhall is a fascinating, well preserved walk through history.

The Guildhall museum is next to the cathedral and is free to enter. The staff are friendly and helpful. There are a small number of exhibits. We also visited one evening for the Candlelight concert. It was an amazing atmosphere and the music just breathtaking. I would definitely recommend a visit if you are in the area.

This was a cute and interesting tourist attraction. They also hosted a paranormal equipment taster night. This place is super old and super cool. I’d definitely give it a visit just to check out any events they might be hosting. There’s also a small theater with a stage and it’s rumored to have hosted Shakespeare. Clean bathrooms and very friendly and dedicated staff. Not sure who worked so hard to get us into the paranormal event, but thanks! Not every American can say they got to investigate ghostly activity in the UK 😝

Wow what a great place. Guided tour lasted 90 minutes very informative,highly recommend so much history in one building.

Amazing stadium great views and helpful team. Food and drink on offer is good but like all venues a little pricey. Staff are nice but sometimes for ladies home games spectator management is a little haywire. Charm of first home game was post match interaction with players especially for kids as this has become a family event. This time players and fans were denied this which was a disappointment as all the players came forward too

As a Leicester fan this review is probably a little biased. Go to most games so know the stadium and area well. Has decent connections - 20 minutes walk to city centre and train station, about 35 minutes to St Margarets/Haymarket bus stations though. Area is nightmare for traffic after games. Stadium itself is pretty decent and staff are very friendly. Self service automated bar is a modern installation and views are decent across the stadium (I would recommend going up in the corner though for best views). Atmosphere usually pretty flat but Birmingham game was not the case with the promotion push in 2024. Overall though very good stadium!

Great atmosphere! The staff is friendly and patient. The products are a little bit pricey, but it is worth it if you are a fan and you want to enjoy yourself. Fantastic views form all angles, especially behind the goals.

Awesome atmosphere! A place that has recently been bringing fans a great deal of joy, excitement and happiness in recent years. Facilities are of a very high standard rivalling the top football teams in the Premiership. Proud to me associated with Leicester City, a properly ran football club.

Behind the scenes stadium tour. Welcomed by our 2 tour guides Martin & John who are extremely knowledgeable in the history of the club and natural tour presenters. The tour lasted 90 minutes and took you around pretty much the whole stadium. Directors lounge, managers lounge, changing rooms, boxes, the tunnel and finish on the pitch. Definitely a thing to do when visiting leicester.

Was here to watch England lionesses and had corporate tickets. Getting into to the venue was a little challenging due to the security set up outside where the player entrance was. Once inside the staff were superb and looked after us all really well. We were inside the champions club and would say this was some of the best football corporate service I have ever received. Plenty of staff getting drink and serving you. The food was self service and was of a good quality with plenty of choice. 2 courses pre match. Dessert at half time and cheese and biscuits at full time was all really nice. Only down side was the connectivity in the stadium. All our party struggled with mobile signal. It was a problem contacting the late comers to get them in. I believe this also creates issues with travel outside the ground as active navigation was almost useless with no connectivity. The club should look at enhanced connectivity to improve the fan experience on the day.

1st time visiting to watch the Leics Ladies play Chelsea. Family member is on the physio team so it was nice to finally see him at work. Ladies toilets were a bit grim and ran out of toilet roll but hey ho when you've gotta go you've gotta go...

Very good stadium tour, went when leicester had just won the league so got to see the premier league, the tour guide was friendly and the stadium itself was very good and easy to get too, would highly recommend visiting if you ever get the opportunity. Would definitely come back.

We provided our professional disco services for an NHS corporate event in the Keith Weller Lounge in November of last year. The staff were very helpful in coordinating the night and ensured everything ran smoothly. We look forward to returning to this stunning venue for another upcoming corporate event in the summer.

King Power Stadium is obviously a great place to watch your local team play football, but it also hosts lots of events in its many large meeting rooms, I went to a Stargate Convention there a few year a back and it has great facilities, I’ve also seen a Boccia tournament there, very good. Ampul parking too.

Attended the stadium for a children's football tournament. It was scorching hot but a fabulous event. The kids loved it, as did the spectators!

The entry to the stadium was pretty fast. Enough time to get the beer before the game and in the middle of the game. Great people and vibe during the game. No trouble with getting out. That was a great day with friend.

King Power Stadium, where Leicester City plays, is an unforgettable venue. The fantastic atmosphere, great food and hospitality provided me with unforgettable experiences during my visit. I am very satisfied and highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to experience great entertainment. I will definitely be back here again!

Watched the Lionesses play her last last Friday (27/10/23) betting Belgium 1-0. Very easy to find and many different places to park. We had in mind a place to park but alot of company's will rent their carpark out for charities which is what we done in the end.

In order to celebrate Leicester City's champion in the 23/24 season, I went to the fan shop, and now there are many new souvenirs in it!

Block G2 row FF seating 129/130.. went along with my grandson, felt very safe , great security, G2 is a little too close the cop and some very strong language. Besides that everyone was great in and outside the ground. Half time drinks 🍻🌭 and food line massive and very slow, people were going down 10mins before half time. The ground itself is very clean and smart and tidy. Prices in the city's shop are silly dear but fans were buying.

First time at this place - went with a crowd of people. Easy access, seats good. Food choices were typical footie, and didn't look all that TBH. Did not try, but saw others have nachos etc, didnt look good. I would have had a pie if I had seen one! Nice clean stadium, easy in and easy out

Argyle on tour!! It's at least 10yrs since we played Leicester. The stadium hasn't changed. It's very smart without being spectacular. Huge concourse with food and drink galore. It took the usual 5hrs to get here by train and we all met in The King's Head pub. Lots of real ales. They are top, and we got spanked, but we took the mick out of the Home fans pathetic support and sang our hearts out all match and non stop chanting for the last 20 minutes. Brilliant day out and tremendous away support!! On to hopefully an easier team to play haha 😄

Great stadium, easy access. £12 for bovril, hot chocolate and a sausage roll. As always, stadium prices for food/drink extortionate!!!

So much fun!!! There are many staffs to support. However, it was too crowded to breaking time is not for toilet time (in lady wc only) 🤣

Great stadium. Welcoming for home and away fans. Good crowds and atmosphere. Great history. Bit cramped in the away end. San Miguel I had was actually very good compared to most stadium rubbish. Most unbelievable Red Leicester Pork Sausage Roll!! 100% recommend getting one of these. Look forward to attending one day, but not sure when, as Leicester will go up as Champions!

Came here to watch Michael McIntyre’s comedy stand-up and it was brilliant. The show itself was top notch and his warm-up act was pretty amusing too. The venue itself is great, really good location right next to Victoria park, although if you are driving be prepared to wait a while as you leave as it can get quite congested.

Fantastic place, can book onsite parking for £5 when booking tickets. Beautiful building, very well kept. Staff are helpful and friendly and lots of them around! Just get there as early as possible as queues for toilets, bars, ice cream & sweets are all VERY long despite having numerous kiosks. Lovely patio area & grounds to sit & have a drink so worth getting there early to get sorted & enjoy a drink before the queues start!

Absolutely fantastic night, went to see Most Haunted the stage show with Yvette, Karl, Stuart and Greg. It was fantastic. They did a live investigation and an Ouija board with members of the audience. Karl makes my laugh so much it’s ridiculous. Thank you most haired team for an absolutely amazing evening.

Have been here a few times now and love the acoustics of the hall. The venue accommodates a lot of people to ensure a lively atmosphere. The one thing I would really want this place to address is the minimal toilet space, which means that during events, the interval isn't long enough to ensure everyone has their comfort break in plenty of time.

Lovely old music hall, great acoustics, good views from all seating. Been going to gigs there for decades so very familiar with it. Only thing is there could be more toilets, but it is an old venue so difficult to change that really.

Beautiful hall. So scenic from the outside and in. All fresh flowers, grass cut perfectly, and free parking. Staff are very friendly.

Date to performance was changed but notified, also to other local events, so potential traffic issues. Venue has a good capacity, bar and facilities. Great sound, lighting and atmosphere.

We visited this theatre to see a production of 'Carmen' along with a live orchestra. This was our first opera and we weren't quite sure what to expect. We'd definetly go to another one based upon our experience at De Montfort Hall. All staff and security were professional and friendly. The theatre was clean and comfortable. The particular performance we came to see was very impressive. We'd come back to this venue for sure.

Great place for concerts whether they are standing or seated. Within easy walking distance of the railway station or city centre (about 20 minutes). There is a car park, but it needs to be pre-booked. Bar prices are reasonable. Staff always friendly and helpful.

The seats are so tight your crammed in like sardines. My husbands knees were touching the seat in front and he's not tall. The sound was good. We watched the Whitney Houston show and there was a load of drunk women in front of us that kept standing up. As the seats are so tight even when standing I still wouldn't see over them so we left early. The show was good but I don't like the venue and won't be going again.

Great place for seeing comedians, musicians and the like. The theatre layout lends itself to good views from wherever you sit. Comfy ish seats but you will likely welcome the interval to have a good stretch! Not a massive amount of leg room but sufficient. Was quite chilly when we visited, unsure if this was a ventilation covid measure but had to sit in my coat. Covid restrictions were very hit and miss, they scanned everyone's covid vaccination status at the door but then no one was wearing masks, only about 2% of the public wore them so there was a high chance that people wandering around bear faced could've easily passed on covid, quite alarming really. Small sweets/ice cream kiosk on the ground floor and one more upstairs with reasonable priced sandwiches, crisps and drinks and there was a bar upstairs too. Friendly helpful staff in all areas. Wheelchair accessible with wheelchair accessible seating in the theatre too, one lady had even brought her assistance dog! Seats either side for a carer or partner too . All round a nice theatre to visit with pre-bookable parking next door (or £5 on the night).

We booked on-site parking to reduce the stress of finding parking locally. The venue was just a short walk from the car park. We didn't use the bar facilities but the theatre itself was clean and comfortable. We had a great view from A63/A64 on the Front Circle

Brilliant theatre, lovely atmosphere and great size for all the family to go along. Nice refreshments at the intervals. Alcoholic beverages are available if needed, also ice cream, crisps and chocolates. Great night or day out. You probs will be searched though so be aware

Great venue. Visited to watch Diversity, all staff were friendly and welcoming, toilet facilities were clean and recommend using the main bar to buy any snacks and drinks which had space, staff and no queues and seating etc rather than the booth in the entrance which had a long queue.

Not only is this theatre GORGEOUS! But the staff and hospitality provided is truly next level, from stage door to box office, the people truly make this stunning venue a magical place to be! Can’t wait to be back with you 🫶

Lovely listed building. Side seats still provided an excellent view. Staff were friendly and helpful as we were 10min late. Parking was easy to find. Was difficult leaving as everyone left at the same time. Overall great experience and will return

Great venue...booked parking for £10 which is available on site. Smaller venue with a old cinema style vibe to it. Paul Weller was fantastic in April. 2024. Special thanks to DMH staff who arranged alternative seating for us due to my partners health issue.

Great venue, easy to get a beer inside. Concert sound was spot on, and it’s small enough to feel close at the back of the venue. Plenty of places close to grab a pre-gig beer too. Mr Weller was on top form too.

The most hassle free visit to an out of town venue I've ever experienced. I'm a disabled customer and arriving at the venue which was really straightforward. I first expected to have a difficult time finding somewhere to park, however, when we arrived we drove into the gateway and were greeted (yes greeted) by a venue colleague in charge of parking. He sold us the ticket and in a very helpful and cheerful way have is directions and instructions for safety and security adding wishes for us to enjoy our experience (his name I discovered was (Bally). Our walk from the car park was short and pleasant with a lovely view Of a Romanesque pillar facade adorned with a beautiful lit up fountain. This was a delightful way to lead into a perfect evening. The interior entrance was staffed by equally enthusiastic and genuinely friendly staff making their security checks with the minimum of fuss and again welcoming the guests to this wonderful building. The bar area was well stocked and staffed and the bathrooms clean and inviting. We were helped to our seats with friendly staff who seemed keen to make us comfortable and welcome. The auditorium was rectangular in style with tiered seating from the stalls. I'm not a great fan of this design as you have to look sideways which for posture and comfort is less than optimal. However that said, it was more than made up for in the overall experience. This design is also a feature of the Derngate in Northampton and the ex Assembly rooms in Derby. I, due to medical reasons had to visit the bathroom mid performance but the staff were lovely and helped me to the disabled room in a very friendly way so as to minimise my slight embarrassment. The ambience, lighting and heating were commendable and we suffered no negative reasons to comment. Upon the show's conclusion the exit and the return to the car park was without any delay or hindrance and I did not experience any queues getting to the gate. We again were greeted by the colleague in exit and I thanked him that we had a great experience. I do not think it was by accident that everything was so seamless but I'm confident that it is good training and good humanities directives that produce a successful product. As for the show and the whole experience l, one of the best nights I've ever experienced at the theatre. Everyone from the car park attendant to the ushers, security, and hospitality were wonderful and performed one of the best team efforts I've ever seen. A special thank you to Bally for the really good extra effort and cheerfulness in parking. As for the show when you go to see Jools Holland and guests, you simply know you are going to get a remarkable experience and it speaks for itself. The whole evening was seamless and what wonderful surroundings, with a picturesque Facade together with illuminated romanesque pillars and fountains. Superb! I shall look forward to my next visit. Well done Leicester.

Popped into the Abbey pumping station as we had visited the near by National space centre ,so we thought we'd have a look around this museum. It's free to enter,however they accept donations to help keep the place going, we donated. There are lots of interesting exhibits and large steam engines to look at. Its shows out Victorian industrial heritage. Its well worth popping in ideal place to show children around.

This a lovely place to visit,specially with kids. We've been here when was Mini railway day and we had so much fun and the little one liked it a lot. Train ride was 50p, but if you wish you can donate more,which we did anyway. Inside the museum is so beautiful with so many antics to see. The entrance was free but you can donate a few pounds if you wish. They gave us a paper with some questions with some characters and things to find inside to museum,keeping us so curious and entertained. We absolutely loved it and worth to go and visiting.

Free to enter. Some great examples of beam engines. A selection of old cinema projectors etc. Next door to the space centre, so you can combine the visit. Will only take an hour or so to look around. Please leave them a donation, even if it’s only £1. It costs a lot to keep this history.

What a wonderful museum. So interesting the facility. The pump house is still in opperation with volunteers starting her up on certain days through the year and days for steam engines to run. My boys loved exploring the building for the bugs game and I will admit the wife and I got a bit competitive for the last couple. I was fascinated from the engineering aspect and the change through time. It was free to enter and they have a lovely little shop to support as well as donations. The staff were lovely, friendly and helpful.

Great museum, and they had kids' activities on. Great little train to ride with a 50p charge. The outdoor play area is brilliant and we took a picnic with us. They do have a cafe, too.

This is the next place you must see while you are visiting Leicester. Near National Space Centre. While you approach Pioneer Statue behind, you can see a massive digger from the past century by the main gate. This is the place...Industrial collection of machines and items used it everyday life 100 years ago and more. You can see one of the first electric cars inside the building , how works toilet, how tram works , etc. Great interaction between visitors and exhibits. Excellent place for family day. No admission fee . Recommended

Great day out, saw the engine working. Very friendly volunteers all happy to share information about the pumping station and museum exhibits. It made my grandsons day.

A really nice small museum which is right next to the national space centre and is free to enter. The Victorian pump is in amazing condition and is worth the visit alone. Only marked down a star because some of the exhibits and the interpretation is very dated and in need of a refresh although still interesting.

An interesting museum and free to enter. The steam pumping engines were impressive and the rest of the museum suitably interesting. Easy to get round with a pram and there was a lift to the pump room. Free entry as well. Visited after going to the Space Museum next door. Excellent play area as well.

Lovely little place, unfortunately it was raining but the experience inside was good. There is plenty of information inside and old things to view which is very interesting. Lovely staff and a few little souvenirs to buy.

A lovely museum with lots of detail about the development of sanitation in Leicester from the early industrial period. There are also some exhibits devoted to the industries, which thrived in Leicester until recently. The beam engines are very well worth visiting when in steam. The little train is great fun and a bargain at 50p a ride. We have been many times, and each time we find something new! Some of the displays are quite dated, but that adds to the experience. The only time payment is required is when there is a special event and tickets for there are very reasonably priced.

Absolutely loved this place. Perfect views of the match. Food is typical for a stadium (gourmet burger was £10 but was delicious). Drinks similarly priced so expect higher than normal. The stadium was worth it and very easy to exit at the end of the match.

Large space there for any Fair, exhibition ,ect... We attent job fair at there.. Its on main road from the Hymarket Bus station 🤝

Had a fabulous afternoon watching the England ladies team beat Ireland in a thrilling match. The stadium experience was really well organised with few queues, decent beer and food. The seats have a great view of the field and were reasonably comfortable. The prices were very reasonable given the quality of the match and the experience.

England As v Portugal great game, fantastic result...parked across the road and we had a little bite to eat from Clucks van....Korean chicken and chips and BBQ chicken and chips both delicious. Two hot chocolates in the stand at £3.20 each. Seats were easy to get to and great view DUI row M I would recommend or slightly lower but very central. Luckily had the best guide with me as he's been there several times

We had a great day out to watch women's England vs Ireland rugby. The ground is lovely, decent atmosphere, food and drink was good and seats had plenty of space. Nice and quick to get through the turnstiles too. The guiness was especially good, even in a plastic glass it was amazing!! Less that £5 a pint too

This is not the best sports stadium in the world. It does not, in the Beehive Stand, have the best ( or even adequate) catering. But it is my stadium hosting my team. Entry and exit is usually pretty seamless. Sight lines from the stands good.

Took my 10yr old son on the stadium tour, took about 2h. Some interesting history from the clubs origins. Cheap and cheerful excursion, younger kids would get bored, mine was on the limit. Could do with some refreshments on the tour as it is fairly long.

Pre season warm up match with friends. Modern stadium, not all facilities open on this occasion. Clear views. Quick entrance into the stadium. Within easy walking distance from town centre, few pubs to enjoy on the way. Club shop. Hotel next door.

Was there at the weekend for the Leicester Tigers v Leinster Rugby match. Great atmosphere produced by both sets of fans at the match. Only downfall on the day was there was no non alcoholic beer available. Would go back to Welford Road in a flash though.

Visited here today to watch the match against Leinster. Great atmosphere outside the stadium, plenty of food trucks too. Even better atmosphere inside the stadium! Staff super helpful and friendly as well. Would visit again.

Great event and such a good venue. Easy to get to and parking was cheaper than most bug sports stadiums. We had 4 tickets for a local Derby and the fans are all sat in together not like football. We sat having a beer with the oponents and thoroughly enjoyed it. We ha e been many times but this was by far the best. Beer prices aren't overly inflated Nd the food is honest and hot. Even had a pizza.

Fantastic venue for the game of Rugby nestled in the city centre of Leicester. Access to the stands from within the grounds and outside is well managed and hassle free. Fast, easy food and drink vendors ensure that you are able to stay refreshed throughout the game. Notably worth a mention is the Tigers fans who show great respect to the game and traveling teams.

This is a bit more than Welford Road, but read on...... We booked four tickets for what I believe is the Champions Club. This gives you a very nice two course meal and a drink, and a seat in the Champions club section in the main stand (padded and comfortable) After the meal there was a couple of question and answer sessions, with current and 'legend' players. We ordered drinks for half time and they were at our table, which was also available after the match. All-in-all, an upgrade on the usual hustle and bustle of queueing for drinks and food AND the toilets. Of course, it does cost more, but for a special occasion, it is really worth it. ps. I should add that I'm a Bath fan, my wife and girls are Tigers fans and Bath lost, so they were happy on the drive back😀

An excellent stadium, be aware that it maybe a little windy depending where you sit. That though, is expected. A fantastic atmosphere and a good clean stadium.

Nice stroll, a quiet park. Large car park. "Chargeable " please be aware that since the road outside the main entrance has reopened after installing a new bridge and carrying out road upgrades, there are now Bus Lanes...and parking restrictions.

Big park close to to the town center a lot of trees flowers birds and fresh air. Perfect for jogging in the morning or walk out your dog. Also nice just to have a stroll. There is a pets corner with different animal as well. The is also a river crossing the park and a late in the park itself. Beautiful landscapes and views

Although only a few minutes walk from the town centre, we haven't been there for years!! It's a lovely park with so many different areas for walking, cycling, a weir which the ducks seemed to enjoy and a small train 🚂 track. Some ares left to grow wild which were full of bees 🐝 & butterflies 🦋. The old ruins are impressive with information boards giving a good insight to life all those years ago. This leads into the pets corner and throughout the year a funfair visits too, but you'd have to look up when. So there's something for everyone with free entrance 👋🏼

Great spot for taking some photos ☀️🌺🍂 it have its own beauty every season 👀 dog friendly cafe’ is a bonus for a drink or snack 👀 I do take photos quite often here for my clients/friends 😉 It have cafe on site. Children’s play area. Picnic area and benches. Old castle ruins. Few car parks. Football field, tennis area and small railway track for kids. Have lively bridge with birds always being there. Loads of flower beds. Pets corner and many more.

Huge park near city centre. Any one can spend good time here. Very calm place with one cafe inside. Kids got free rope swings inside. The major attraction is the miniature trains. And the best part is that you can actually get a ride on it. The cost of a miniature train ticket is 1.5 pounds per person. Awesome experience. The park has a lake inside and you can find duck everywhere in the pond. You will definitely love it. A must visit place if you’re in Leicester.

One of the most beautiful spots in Leicester! Sadly, but to get to the park you have to pass this factory zone with broken windows and graffiti… but after it there is a huge park with magnificent views, huge bright flowerbeds, cute birds, rivers and even a little Asian garden! Highly recommend to visit on Leicester. Must be on your visit list!!!

Great park not too far from the main centre of Leicester. We headed straight to the Pets Corner (yes us two adults) and could have stayed there for hours! Such a lovely place to walk, enjoy the quiet and look at the ruins.

Lovely place to visit in Leicester. If you are living in Leicester then its a must go place. Its a large garden for morning/evening walks, picnics, some gym equipments, children play area. Its in city center of leicester so you can enjoy shopping as well.

Abbey park is one of the best parks in Leicester. It is a great outdoor place for a morning or afternoon stroll. Walk or jogging. Has a parking space at entrance. The miniature railway is something I have been waiting to experience. We always enjoy the. Lovely summer weather and play football, cricket etc. There is a lake and there you can feed the geese and swans. Sometimes events take place there specially in summer time mobile amusement park set up and the rides are thrilling!! Though I have trust issues with the stability of the rides. Overall nice ambience and environment. Highly recommended!

Amazing park with so many to do and see. We love this park and we come here every time we can. We love the squirrels, the ducks,the gooses,all small and big birds :),everything is so peaceful. If you are up for a picnic, give it a go,it's so nice having one in here. The park is always so clean and very well maintained, flowers everywhere. I am just a bit disappointed about the playground area,for smaller kids because they could have more swings,not only 2 for smaller kids and two for bigger ones,they could have more because when it's busy you have to wait a lot for a swing, but other than that all nice.

It is a must visit spot for people who are visiting for the first time. I think it is one of the best parks in the UK. There is a river, ancient bridge, a lake, big cafe house and roman ruins inside it. I must say the best attraction was especially for the kids but also for adults. The mini trains. It is operating every sunday from 12:30 and tickets for adult 1.5pounds. MiniTrains are real trains with steam engine and that makes them very special. Staff also absolutely friendly. Every visit to Leicester it became my must go to spot.

Went down for Christmas light trail walk - children enjoyed it. More lights throughout the whole path would have made five stars.

Calm and beautiful place for walking in oadby village. Open till 5 pm during summer. This place offers both calming and educational experience for the visitors. Have several green houses and specific zones that consists distinct species. It's joyous to see numerous bees in their natural habitat after a long time.

Great place even at winter time. Was lovely to see the warm houses with a variety of plants, cactuses and flowers. Interesting buildings on the land, would be lovely to be able to see inside.

Beautiful peaceful place, I can really see the care and attention that has been put into this beauty, so scenic, came on a day the greenhouse was shut and some works were being carried out, but I would return.

Worth a visit but not at its best in April, looks like it'll be a picture ina few more weeks. The greenhouses are only open Mon to Fri, do keep that in mind if you wanted to see the desert plants, Alpines etc.

Lovely little gem in Leicester. The gardens are the perfect place to come for a relaxing stroll. They have a nice wide array of herbs, flowers and trees. The gardens are also well-kept. Plant enthusiasts and non plant enthusiasts both alike will enjoy having a walkabout here.

Beautiful grounds with lots of trees and plants. The greenhouses are well worth a look at with a lot of cactus of impressive size. One cactus only flowers 25 - 30 years and it had just flowered.( I probably will not be around for the next time 🤣). It is free to enter so win win couple of hours.

I love this place. There are so many wonderful and often unusual specimens to see and it is always a delight to visit at any time of the year. When we visited, the fuchsia collection was looking magnificent. The trees and shrubs are always so special and the Caucasian Oak tree was looking completely amazing. In addition the herbs are a major feature and the acers are graceful and elegant. Visiting here always lifts my spirits and it gives me a real sense of joy. To sum up, this place is an absolute treasure and a real credit not only to the University of Leicester but to the city too. Visited again to-day....still fantastic! Update 28.11.22...still A-MAY-ZING. Went again on 28.02.24...the garden looked fantastic with lovely Spring flowers showing. Love this place.

Love visiting here for an afternoon's outing with the children, ages 7 and 4. Plenty to see and do. The fish always cause a lot of excitement and the different plant houses: Cactus, Tropical, are a 'must see'.

Stunning, Serene, Natural gardens. Loved every moment of this place. New things to see round every corner. The children loved this place, it was like they were 'exploring' and having an 'adventure'. Lovely large pond with lots of fishes too. A beautiful afternoon walk. Will most definitely be visiting again.......... Tomorrow!!! 😆😆😆😆

We walked just over a mile to the gardens and spent a few hours enjoying the preparation for Spring Blooms. With Fall just beginning, the colors of many trees were gorgeous. We were not expecting Spring perfection but certaining imagined their glory. The trees, bushes and fall flowers were enough with majestic brick buildings and out structures in the background. With three weeks of rain, the grounds were saturated but beautiful nonetheless.
