Intimidating place and history, makes you realise how small we are and also how important is to lead a good life . We visited in December so there were no crowds but probably in high season there would be many more people. Request to future visitors: Please do not forget this is a place of faith not a photobooth. I could’nt see it from inside but even from outside the architecture is amazing, lovely old streets in Bari! By the way if you didn’t watched the italian Movie Baaria then definitelely recommended.

Basilica of San Nicola was on top of my list in Bari and the very first thing we've visited in this port city. St. Nicholas is my mother's family Patron Saint so it was a pilgrimage visit to pay our respects. The Basilica is set in the old town, built in a Norman Romanesque style as early as 11c. The Piazza in front is rather small compared to huge Church, so it's pretty difficult to capture it. There's a monument on it dedicated to St. Nicholas - the Miracle maker. Interiors are huge with big columns and uneven arches with wood/gold decorated ceiling and beautiful altar. Downstairs in the crypt are the Saint's relics with his remains. Free entry

Magnificent castle built by Roger ll during the Norman reign.The exterior is magnificent, but inside there is only a poor collection of statues and photos. Also many exhibition rooms have been emptied. If you are in a hurry just taking a photo outside is enough.

I felt like we didn’t get our money’s worth during our tour of this castle. It was pretty empty and we didn’t get to see much. They did, however, have a pretty cool St. Nicholas exhibit! So I enjoyed that.

If you are under 25 years old, it's nearly worth it because you "just" pay 4,50€. Above 25 you pay 9€ and we definitly would not pay this amount. It's not possible to go on the Towers, you can only visit one half of the castle and it seems a lot bigger from outside. In this one half, there are just a few rooms to visit. The only really interesting thing were the basement rooms. We were here about 30 minutes and saw everything. We asked a guide if it's possible to see more of the castle but he just replied very unfriendly "dangerous". We are lucky, that we are under 25 and just paid 4,50€ for this.

Well this castle is simply just stone for 9 euro. Dont expect anything else. We have been to different cities and castles like Paris, Madrid, Lisbon and etc. Even the castle in Brighton is some interesting and cheaper than this nothing to see 9 euro castle. Just one staircase to see inside. No body will tell you you cant go up to the top and you cant refund. For this money in Bari you can get 3 top icecream.

Strong castle with a rich history. They play a very informative film near the beginning (that is available in 4 languages depending on the crowd) about how the castle developed. Inside there's also some art to be seen.

The castle is in a very good renovation status and has elevators except the archeological part, thus making it mostly accessible. It serves as a museum of art with original stone parts of surrounding churches and cathedrals.

Nice castle, off season some of the areas were closed for renovation works. Entry fee is 3 euro for an adult.

I haven't been and seen the inside of this theater. I often see the beautiful structure of this theater when I go to Centro or Lungonare. Hopefully to see the inside.

We went to 'visite guidate' it happens every weekend at 12 or 1 pm, price is 5 EUR. Is about 40 minutes long. Is one of the best beautiful theater interiors I have seen. Is must visit place if you happened to be in Bari!

This is such a wonderful place. We went to see an international panorama, The Last Bus, organized by an movie festival. The place is astonishing and if you can go to see something in a language that you speak, is a must go. The personal that was working there was SO professional and prepared (less on the english speaking part).

Pretty nice theatre near the harbour of Bari. It is located on a big road. However, it is not that impressive as some reviews stated.

Great interior, plenty of room for legs, quite comfortable seats and nice performance - all ingredients for lovely evening is here! I was at Aida with my family, and it seems that we were the only foreigners here. If you want to dive into local culture, it's one of the best places to visit in Bari. Sound inside is exceptional due to dome structure of the building: you can seat on the 5th floor and hear triangle from the bottom as it's just next to you. And don't worry to buy tickets for upper seats and sides, you will see and hear the performance from any point in auditorium. There's also a standing area at the top floor.

We visited this beach three times whilst in Bari, once during the day and twice in the evening (8-11pm). The water is so clear and the scenery is gorgeous. A lot of it is very shallow which makes it great for kids and families. It seems to be a very popular spot amongst locals with the beach and promenade full of families. Each time we left towels and bags on the sand whilst in the sea, and felt very safe to do so. The main downside we encountered was the amount of litter and cigarette butts on the sand; I would definitely recommend bringing crocs or flip-flops to avoid standing on them.

The beach very much like the fact that it is within the city. Unfortunately, there are no organized sun loungers. But I liked that in general it is not so deep and the water is always warm. Also the water is clean here.

We found at least a dozen of razors scattered around the sand and the sea. We were finding one or two everyday and we saw other people find them as well. Apparently the beach representatives are aware of this, but there's nothing they can do about it, because whoever's dumping the razors, does it during the night. So, you have to be extremely cautions with your steps. Overall the beach is pretty cool, it's sandy and the water isn't deep at all. Maybe add a few more trash bins and add signs against littering, since people are uncivilised and still leave some of their trash on the beach.

Beautiful beach with public toilets, showers and other services at hand. However sandy part of the beach is short and thereby easily crowded. I recommend taking a walk on the long parade from the old city of Bari to the beach. If you walk a bit more there is a nice rocky shore.

This small slice of the Adriatic Sea 🌊 is super walkable from Bari Vecchia and a great place to catch rays ☀️. On one of the days we went here, swimming was canceled due to the water pH. Worth a visit, but also best to have a Plan B. 🏖 Check out this beach 🏝 near town before venturing out to any others.

I liked this beach. It is great for a chilling afternoon, the water is clean and it was not too busy. I wish we found it sooner, but it was definitely worthy. It is in the city and you have the train nearby to get back to Bari Centrale, it is also at a walkable distance from Bari Vecchia.

The best park in Bari. There is plenty of green two ponds, 2 basketball fields, a playground, some outdoor gym equipments, and a seperated dog runner area.

I spent my adolescence in this park. It's one of the only green places in Bari. Nice for a walk, spend some time on the grass with friends, play basketball. But really small and many times extremely crowded.

Bari is a city with very little green spaces, and in that light the park is a nice place to visit and enjoy yourself. Just understand that it would get at most 3 stars in any city with more or better parks (as Madrid, Spain). It has nothing really outstanding, but it is a nice environment anyway.

What an embarrassingly sad state of affairs! Apart from the fact that the park is under renovation which is positive, it's too small to be a recreation area for the population visiting it: children, joggers, elderly and dogs are supposed to mix in the few areas suitable for recreation. The park is not well kept. I took a bus to get there and was disappointed.

It is the main park of the city: you can come here for running, cycling, playing or simply reading or sitting on the grass. Usually, it is full of people and let you re charge after a tiring day. Now there is also a new bar to take something to drink or eat.
