Holy moly, didn't expect to find something this cool inside a building that looks less impressive relative to other places in Italy. Some parts are not as restored, which is cool as it looks more genuine and real. It has many features like the 3D-look in the ceiling similar to the Vatican. It also has some parts that are leaning as the foundation must be degrading slowly, it's quite cool!

Stunning and free! Very well maintained and very clean. Not too busy and everything is in great condition. 100% recommend if you’re visiting Italy and want to see a cathedral that isn’t too busy.

This 11th century cathedral has a unique charm to it. The walls are painted with scenes from the bible. I loved the drawings, and I can say it was one of the most beautiful cathedral I have visited. In the 4th photo you can see cupola painted with 16th century fresco "The Assumption of virgin" by Correggio (it took him 8 years to finish the painting). And the entrance is free.

The cathedral is fabulous, both because of the architecture, but especially due to the ceiling painting and more specifically the dome paining with the ascension.

A wonderful reprise of the original wooden theater. The ceiling, columns, benches, stage, ... everything is a complete copy of the original. A lot of knowledge and skills were needed to make a copy. It's a genuine feeling that it's not a restored stage. worth a visit. Entry fee is symbolic.

A single magnificent jewel of mediaeval times. Twelfth century octagonal building of pink marble with a huge baptismal font at its centre, decorated from floor to dome ( five storeys up ) with wonderful mediaeval frescoes and sculptures. Very crowded but well organised - it is a wonder, with many styles and varied subject matter, though sadly some clearly some find little there to excite them.

Great place to take a walk and get refreshed alongside the beautiful trees and good spot for getting desserts. The roads are wide and good place for children to play.

The Palace, from the powerful Farnese family (one of Italy's and Europe's most powerful t some point in history) taken as a whole or as the single elements, is great and a so-called "must see" of the city. So much art and culture and history in and around these walls, so much variety.

The Palazzo della Pilotta located in the center of Parma has a wide collection of paintings, icons, statues etc. It also has an ancient fantastic wooden theater. The whole palazzo is built of brick and is huge and you could easily spend half a day there.

Very impressive building. The theatre is really cool. Most of the paintings have religious themes which are quite boring for me. Unfortunately we didn’t get to see Da Vinci‘s painting since it is currently in China.

Amazing museum and theatre. The theatre is just breathtaking and the museum is really interesting ! The only “bad” point is the very confusing circulation in the museum 😂 not very logical when we went, where is the next room, where to go next but luckily there were always staff around to direct us the next room ! Also, we could leave our backpacks for free in the lockers when we bought the tickets at the counter :)

Wow what a beautiful and overwhelming museum complex—library, theater, antique art, and a strange and wonderful pinacoteca filled with works by Correggio, Parmigianino, the Carracci—the two giant Ludovico paintings are standouts—as well as Leonardo, Mor, Spada, Lanfranco, and hundreds of others. Highly recommends for the multitude of masterpieces on display, make sure you give yourself enough time to properly appreciate it all—at least three hours but ideally more like four or five for hardcore art lovers!

The theater and library were both very nice. We actually visited on the first Sunday of the month so it was free. Highly recommend the library and theater, not the museum unless you're really into Christian art. However the theater is very cool, wooden. And shows go on every 15 minutes. Dogs not allowed.

Very grand attraction. The theatre is amazing, a wonder to see. We found this quite frustrating, but it didn't ruin the experience.

“Accidentally“ had our dinner at Osteria del Teatro in Parma, recommended by another restaurant which was fully booked. Very friendly staff and great authentic dishes. Artistically designed plates, beautifully presented. The grilled polenta bruschetta is our recommended entree. Spacious seating at a quiet square. Attended by many locals. Relaxed Italian atmoshere. Perfect dinner after a culture packed Parma visit.

Original 'musical' restaurant in a secluded square behind the Opera House. We each had one course: prosciutto with torta fritta and risotto opera. Both excellent as were the desserts. Service was efficient but with no human warmth or sense of humour which was in strong contrast to the concept and decor of the restaurant.

A bit expensive but highly recommended! Located directly on Piazza S. Bartolomeo, this small but fine Osteria is a pearl. Various delicacies are served from local products and much is homemade (dinner). It is definitely recommended to sit outside with a view of the square. Just around the corner from the stunning Parma cathedral is Osteria del Teatro. Situated next to a music store, the decor is music and chill. Just eat here, the quality of the food is outstanding. I had the roast beef. With a loaf of bread, Parmesano crisps, roasted potatoes, salumi and a glass of Barbera, this was an exceptional meal, the highest quality ingredients I would expect in Parma.

Beautifully kept park inside an old fortress. Playgrounds for the children, carousel and trampolines, basketball courts. An informal cafe, as well as a nice restaurant/cafe. Also, if you're looking for a safe place to run/walk, up along the bastions is a 1km loop, or a bit longer if you traverse the outer edges. Good to know: on very windy days, the park will close and after rain it can be muddy around the playgrounds.

Go for pizza on Tuesday. Marathon here is cool too. Lovely park with good play areas for little ones too.

Well worth seeing for the library, which has fascinating decoration. The opening times on the tourist office website and displayed outside the monastery are every day except Thursday and Sunday, open mornings and afternoons but closed for a long lunchbreak. However we found that the library was only open in the mornings (until 11.45), and the apothecary (which we did not see) is only open on Saturdays. No entrance fee but a voluntary donation is encouraged.

We visited the cloisters, and the ones of the Monastero di San Giovanni Evangelista are wonderful. Unfortunately you can't see all of them, but those that are free for the public are really nice. There's no entrance fee, but you can donate something before or after entering the cloisters.

Stadio Ennio Tardini is not a big stadium compared to San Siro or other European stadiums. But for Parma fans, it is certainly helpful and welcoming. There is a historical museum.5 euros per adult per entry. It shows AC Parma's turbulent history. The store is alright. Friendly staff but all the merchandise is very pricey for me. But the highlight for me is Parma city. Off the beaten track and very charming indeed. Lots of nice buildings. N good food.

You can buy tickets on the day... There a little ticket station just across the road from the stadium, so don't bother booking on the website it's too stressful as for the cheapest seats that's where all the fans sit chanting and flags drums everywhere
