Beautiful "S" shaped walking and cycling bridge that crosses the River Foyle. It's purpose is to unite Derry and the curved shape indicates that the road to peace isn't a straight one. It's a beautiful structure and has great views of the city. Definitely recommend when in Derry.

The iconic Derry Peace Bridge was opened in 2011 and curves 235 metres long. It's a foot bridge and cycle path that crosses the River Foyle, connecting Guild Hall Square on the city side to Ebrington Square and St Columb's Park on the other side. We parked our motorhome on the street as it was too big for the car parks, and unfortunately only had an hour to see the bridge, murals and walled city. The bridge is a modern and lasting design that symbolises the joining of two sets of people and hopefully the end of the historic struggles.

Very pleasantly surprised by the staff of the guildhall. It is free of charge as we walked in. We were greeted well. We were asked to take our time and go around and see the place. The history of dairy city is very well. Depicted photography is not allowed. We were allowed to take pictures of The strained glass work. Very rich with history. It is right outside the row of canyons of the walled City. It is opposite to the peace bridge. Huge row of fountains outside was definitely a good amusement for the kids

AMAZING GUILDHALL - AND IT'S FREE! I'm always tetchy about going into administrative buildings, but I was told it was free to go inside and worth visiting by the tourist office. And they weren't wrong! Really friendly greeting at the door by a lovely lady, she told me what to see (the exhibit is good) and you get to see cool stuff like the grand hall with the cool blue & gold pipe organ, the committee hall and even a Nobel Peace Prize. And given that IT'S FREE, it's totally worth going inside to have a look around and take pictures and stuff.

Gorgeous building facade with beautiful organ pipes. I loved the two-tone blue with the gold; I've never seen anything like it! Amazing stained glass windows showing a multidude of different things in a artistic fashion. I had a concert here and the acoustics of the hall were impressive. Great experience at the Guildhall. Carol,who was very friendly, gave me and my friend a wonderful tour of the place from explaining the details of the stained glass windows to showing us the council room. Beautiful historic building in Derry city, beside the river Foyle and the city walls. It was built in 1890 and is free to visit every day. It's got stunning stained glass windows and a magnificent main hall. There's an exhibition of the city's history, toilet facilities, a lift, disabled ramps and a lovely cafe.

Make sure not to miss the explanatory video at the beginning of the exhibition that helps frame the Troubles in context. Overall informative for such an affordable admission. I wish it had more about post Bloody Sunday events. It focused very specifically on this in intricate details and not other events after or anything else. My only other negative comment is you spend about 3-5 minutes getting a “host” to sort of tell you about what the museum is about and how to walk through. He was practically whispering while the automatic doors open and closed. Colleague about 15 feet away was speaking louder than him as they answered questions about Entry fees. Worth it for anyone visiting Derry and wanting to learn about the history of this area. We went here first and it gave us the perspective to understand other tours we were given and the sports we visited.

We stayed in apartment 2 on the second floor. The unit is well appointed with a kitchen, living room, and bedroom. The kitchen has a stove, oven, dishwasher, microwave, and hot water kettle. The landlord is incredibly nice and will accommodate most needs. The apartment has a great location within easy walking distance of the most interesting part of the city. We loved it here!

An excellent introduction to Derry/Londonderry. An immersive experience in taking you from ancient times to the present day via the troubles whilst the Spanish Armada exhibits are world class (and rightfully dominate several floors of the museum). I had the great pleasure of visiting the Tower Museum in Londonderry a couple of weeks ago. I have to say that it was a fascinating experience in a really well laid out Museum. The thought process in the layout was exemplary and the way finding simple to follow. I was captivated by the exhibition of artifacts from a lost Armada ship. The descriptions of all of them were so well done that nothing was left to the imagination. All in all a captivating Museum and exceptional value for a modest entrance fee. The museum is a memorial, is small, but full of a great human history, a tragedy of the years where civil rights were fought. It is meant to be a moment of reflection on the past and an example for the future. If you visit the country make a stop here, it is located in the neighborhood where Bloody Sunday took place. Walk around the houses to admire the murales and then go to see the council chamber where the trial took place in 1998.

A must-visit for all who want to learn significant Irish history. It can be very crowded with tourists and school groups so parking can be difficult, but if visiting from out of town it's not a far walk from anywhere in Derry. We visited on our own and found it easy to navigate the murals and history, but the city offers many different tour options for those who'd like a guide. Was quite emotional to read and feel the history in the atmosphere.

NEVER OPEN?! Even though they list the new-revised opening times on the door - it was seemingly never open when I went. Tried to visit twice, both times around noon (they say they're open 10:00am-3:00pm) but found all the doors to be locked solid. Not sure what's going on there, cool to look at from the outside though.

Well worth a visit if you are in the city. Presently hosting a celebration of Christmas trees. Houses a collection of items from the city since the 1600 hundreds. Free entry, an active cathedral that encourages visitors and holds interesting events such as music concerts as well as religious services.

Very good tourist information centre in the main square, Derry. The staff are friendly and will answer any questions you have. There's visual displays, a gift shop and a Pickled Duck cafe on site. Interesting place to pop into, if you're on holiday or from Derry city.

Staff so helpful . Recommended Taxi tour as an option as walking tour didn’t suit us . Vincent from Foyle Taxis was our guide. We couldn’t more highly recommend . Vincent’s first hand knowledge of “ The Troubles “ as he was born near Bogside was so informative . He had empathy & respect for both sides . It was a wet day & yet he allowed us plenty time to pop out at viewing spots & important historical locations . ( He was getting wet we had raincoats !) We both learned so much from the tour & already have highly recommended it to our friends . Vincent also was so positive for the future as he could see how much things have improved from living through it all. A most enjoyable 5 star tour told from the heart with a heart .

For some reason the google map showed us to some shops and offices. It caused our group a lot of confusion and wasted our time. The Murals that we saw were great when you find them but the only one near the canons is of the rather funny TV show, the Derry Girls, not the political ones. The Free Derry political murals painted by 3 Bogside Artists are in Rossville St in the Bogside are of Derry, along with the Museum for Free Derry and the Bloody Sunday Obelisk - all worth visiting.

An absolutely wonderful experience awaits within the forum, specially at Christmas time. The world famous travelling comic William Caulfield has been the resident 'big name' Panto star there for a number of years now. Supported by an incredible cast including Orla Mullan and Keith Lynch with Rachel O'Connor and Connor OKane sharing the stage. This year was an absolute top class performance by the whole cast. With the little cast members impressing my daughter with their fabulous dancing! The music, dancing and singing was in my opinion slightly influenced William's love of vintage scooters and the music associated with them. We decided on making this a family trip so we could remember my mummy who passed away Christmas 2018 with happiness and laughter instead of sadness. Came here for Chaos MMA event on Sat 12th November. All the Milllenium Forum staff (bar staff, security, event staff) were lovely, like everyone we met in Derry. Our son was fighting and we chatted to one of the security staff on the way outside about a taxi. He gave us a lift rather than have us wait around late at night for a taxi and gave is an impromptu tour of the city, pointing out spots for us to return to the next day. So sound.. wouldn't even take the price of a pint off us to say thanks. Great venue with great staff in a great city with great people.

It's alright, with a performer like Paul Heaton on stage with an incredible band you could forgive this place a lot. Generally the place is shabby and dusty. Staff were nice but they held no rule with people arriving in over an hour late. People were shown to their seats up to 2 hours into a 3 hour gig. Very disruptive at a seated venue. Yeah I probably sound old saying that but seats are more expensive tickets for that reason.

Venue - Very Good, organisation- not so good. Visited for a Graduation - the auditorium is quite intimate, seating comfortable. Upon exit from the auditorium at the end of the event into the foyer the area was very congested. Nibbles were available in this area which contributed to the stagnation of human traffic. I was glad to get out though a side entrance where some smokers were congregating and I don't smoke.

Went here recently to see a comedy show. The venue itself was very easy to access and had stairs and a lift to move between floors. Staff were very helpful and friendly and we felt very welcomed. The show was brilliant. Our seats were very comfortable and we had no issues seeing or hearing the act. Will definitely be back.

The Millennium Forum was built to mark the new Millennium it took over from the Rialto theatre where Primark is based opposite, it has a wonderful atmosphere inside the main arena when a show is on and has great views of the main stage from where ever you sit, my only thing I need to ask is we were not allowed to take in our coffee yet people who had alcohol were allowed? Since my last post we went to see Ben Portsmouth singing Elvis and I must say it was a fabulous venue for it lighting, seating view perfect would highly recommend a visit to any show at the forum

What a city! Its got something for everyone. We did the walk round the top of the wall and into the city. We also walked the peace bridge from the train station to the Guild Hall. The staff in the visitors centre were really helpful and the gifts are gorgeous too. Recommend to anyone visiting here to do the wall walk and appreciate all the art and all the views it is gorgeous.
