The cathedral is breath taking architecture and a wonder. I am trying to figure out, how could people from the past and would have appreciated the fact that this cathedral receives nowadays only or most of the time visitors? Where is faith gone? Where are the believers and Christians?
This church is stunning, the amount of detail work that’s gone into the statues which holds the record for the most figures in a church in the world is just magnificent. The glass work is eclectic and like non I’ve ever seen before, I can only imagine how it glimmers when the sun it’s the glass just right. This location is definitely the main attraction in the city and it’s definitely worth the visit.
Incredibly beautiful architecture...didn't know every French king had been crowned here. Younger yet bigger than Notre Dame in Paris. Definitely a must see.
Fantastic historical site. I am notbsure how it compares to the one in Paris since no one can get in there now, but there is a lot less people and the building is very well kept. All the details in the construction are simply amazing. No ticket needed.

This cathedral is absolutely beautiful, the staff were all very kind. I would definetly recommend visiting the cathedral if you are in Reims or surrounding areas. The cathedral is in stunning condition for being over 400 years old. Overall an amazing experience.
In love with our history, one day I had to visit the city of coronations and of course the cathedral. What a beautiful building filled with so much history, events. A magnificent construction. Huge and whose maintenance and restoration make it a beautiful monument dedicated to the Catholic religion and the coronations of our kings. A statue dedicated to Saint Joan of Arc is necessarily visible there. It's crowded but it's reasonable and then unlike some buildings of the same type, I found a great calm and a beautiful serenity all the same. To see without hesitation. For the duration of the visit everything depends on you, are you ready to read all the informative brochures? Are you a strong believer? So if you belong to one of two categories you will be the sole judge of your time. Otherwise in one hour you will have been able to observe the building.
A nice church to visit while on the way to champagne country.
Our tour from Paris made a brief stop here, and it made for a bit of awe and introspection.
The building itself is adorned with hundreds of statues and statues holding statues. Inside, stained glass windows give everything an intentional tinge of pink and purple hues.
Near the back, there are relics of saints and several extravagant chapels.

Amazing, if you are anywhere near Reims this is a site you shouldn't miss. It's easy to access, in a wonderfully peaceful area, and is as or more stunning than many cathedrals in the country. I could have spent days hearing about the historical coronations and critical events in the history of France that occurred at this site.
A true work of art, its size and architectural details simply take your breath away. One of the most beautiful and well-maintained cathedrals in France. Both the interior with the glass painting and the exterior with the architectural details are worth it, you will give them a good part of the time to be admired. Moreover, the cathedral can be visited with a guide in French, German, English.

Of course I've not seen every cathedral in the world but for me one of the most beautiful churches I've ever seen. Very impressive! No fee to enter, but you can think about giving what it's worth for you or pay for a candle in memory of a loved one.

Cathedral is a an absolute jewel of gothic architecture! If in Reims it’s definitely a must visit.
Great for architectural enthusiasts as well as religious pilgrims. Mass services are frequent and easy to find out.
It breathes history from medieval times, through coronations to modern post war truce meeting with German chancellor Adenauer.
My personal favorite is the smiling Angel on the outer facade.
As with every monument, expect renovations and parts of the interior/ exterior to be covered due to works.
A highlight compared to Paris is that it’s not too busy and you marvel at peace with no too many people pushing you.

This Cathedral has so much character and detail even from the outside, very impressive. The scale of it is quite large for a Cathedral in a smaller town. Definitely worth the stop if you are driving by the area.
Decided to head away from Paris for a day and drive out to REIMS. So glad we did as this place is an absolute gem. The cathedral from the outside is beyond words, absolutely stunning. We were lucky enough to visit when there was a service taking place and the sound of the choir within the high roof of the cathedral was joyous. Out of all the buildings we visited whilst in France this is the one.
Extremely nice building especially when you see its illuminated exterior in the evening, full of statues, big arches, colored windows, the French king was crowned here during the tumultuous years of Joan of Orleans, I think it is always good to go there, sit for a while and think... do not forget to see the Statue de Jeanne d'Arc in front door...
Amazing cathedral built in the Gothic style. Great history behind this cathedral. When visiting this Cathedral take a few minutes to sit on the benches across from the Cathedral to take in the magnificent architecture and the majestic views.
Entrance is free. I spent around 45 minutes inside - walking around admiring the architecture and also taking time to sit quietly and pray.
This is a must visit if you are in Paris. There are frequent trains.

Due to the fact that this was my first champagne house to visit, I think it was a really nice experience. We took the self-guided tour and the companion mobile app was helpful, although not getting into the details. As for the tasting, we had the classic brut royal: fresh, crisp, citrusy, with hints of green apples; good overall, but not the best I've had.
Unless you reserve a guided tour in advance, you probably will be stuck doing the self-guided tour with the downloaded application. Once downloaded it’s fairly easy to use. Unlike others here, I found the art exhibit and lights distracting. I was more interested in the technical and historical details which I found out later were provided in the available literature. In the end, the Champagne was excellent and really what I came here for. Likely others won’t mind the art or lights.
This was a really great experience. We did the self guided tour and walked through the drives (cellar) and followed along with the hard copy guide provided. The cellars are so impressive and there is some incredible modern art juxtaposed with the long history of the cellars themselves. Highly recommend.
Vranken Pommery domain in Reims, France, offers an impressive self-guided tour of their vast wine cellar. The 18 km long cellar is a fascinating experience, topped off with a delightful glass of vintage grand cru Pommery champagne. A must-visit winery for champagne enthusiasts!
Visiting this cave every year on my birthday 😎 As in the other caves, you’ll learn about champagne making, with the added delight of savoring an excellent champagne. But that's not all; there is a modern art exhibition that evolves annually, adding a contemporary twist to the experience. And make sure not to overlook the annex building, where an additional exhibition awaits!! This cave is truly a gem. I usually swing by before lunch because, let's face it, champagne tastes better before noon – it's like breakfast but with bubbles! 😁
Well worth a visit! First tome visiting a Champagne maison. A bit commercialized and pricey but if you have not visited before I recommend. Tour of house and cave with two glass of champagne cost 42 eur
We came to Pommery because I had seen many videos about their beautiful caves, but to be honest I was a bit disappointed in the overall experience. We chose the self-guided tour, but there is not much explanation on the house, champagne process or anything. You just get to see a lot of the art pieces, but nothing related to the champagne itself. You get two glasses with your ticket, but barely no explanation on the champagnes you are tasting.
An experience of a lifetime. Even as you enter the domain you see how the people here have incorporated art along with their work and culture. A true blend of modern and contemporary way of making the champagne.

The caves are made from chalk which makes it beautifully cold down there and the prefect temperature for champagne making. Madame Pommery took spaces made by the government collection of chalk to build to create the perfect space for Champagne storage.
I learnt an important fact for all of the champagne lovers… the quality of champagne snd wine is better in a magnum… I have just given you a valid reason to purchase Magnums when drinking champagne! I Will be reminding Jordan of this regularly🥰
Pommery sort their bottles in individual cellars for different countries and people.
The artwork throughout the cave is incredible and always changing of you need an excuse to go again.
You really get an understanding of why champagne is special when you learn the process and time involved for each bottle.
After the climb back to the top we were greeted with the tasting of a Brut and a Vintage.

Truly incredible experience! We booked the Gastronomic Visit and loved it. The caves are spectacular, the tour was very informative and the 3 course lunch with matched champagnes was divine.
A wine that expresses its terroir is one that is as close to the grape itself as possible. That’s the only way I can pay tribute to the variety and the place, and the only way I can express my passion for this champagne house.

The visit to the Vranken Pommery costed 24 euros without the guide and included a glass of champagne in the end.

A fabulous tour of the caves and the artwork was breathtaking. Our guide was awesome, the entire space is a must-see and the tasting was great at the end.
Fantastic journey through the cellars. The art installations are a huge plus. The tastings were generous pours and delicious. I’d also recommend having lunch at the restaurant. A perfect way to end a morning tour.
Honestly, this was a tough spot to enjoy as a tourist. The price to experience to crowd to service ratio wasn’t hitting at all.
The app for the self guided tour wasn’t working. There were no signs in English. No arrows indicating direction. I honestly still couldn’t tell how champagne is made after this experience - I had to google it 😂
A bit more theme park than winery; it's worth the stop if you want a bit of wine and to tour an old home and very decorated caves. If you want to avoid crowds or want a more intimate experience, would skip this location.
Interesting experience for people who are not into alcohol in general, as there are many art pieces and it's more of an art gallery. Very reasonable price for the entry ticket. Suitable for children as well.

Nice visit at Vranken Pommery. You will see the caveau, which is not so worderful as you may expect. Then you will visit ville Demoiselle, that is a fantastic example of art nuveau and art deco. The visit ends with a glass of very good champagne. It is mainly a visit at the the house rather that to a cave.
The self-guided tour of the cellar was ideal to visit with our kids. We could go at our own pace and focus on the things that were engaging to them while still learning the interesting history. When buying the ticket choose which champagne you'd like to sample at the end. Kids get a fizzy grape juice. Lovely reception space to relax and enjoy your tasting after exploring. Good shop.
The Pommery cellars in Reims are an outstanding experience! Many kilometers (sic!) of tunnels, ca. 30 meter down, always ca. 11 Celsius cold, full of impressive modern art installations and partly very old bottles. You can visit them also without appointment and without guided tour. Highly recommended!
Didn’t love the champagne. But the cellars are a reason to visit. We did a self guided tour, over the course of an hour, and it was wonderful. This is a great place to see the cellars of a large house, made all the more interesting by the imaginative art decorating the cellars, helping you spend even more time exploring underground. Great place to visit to see some of the earliest champagne cellars. Very informative tour, available in English or French. The cellars are amazing in their scale and age. Millions of bottles of champagne are kept here. Highly recommended.
First thing: BRING A JACKET. The caves are kept at a brisk 11 degrees Celsius. That said, the tour was very enjoyable and the right length. Very informative in terms of the Taittinger brand and champagne-making itself. Their cave is very impressive in terms of its architecture, history, and aesthetic.
It’s a beautiful cellar but I found the tour a bit limiting and our tour guide did not have a good knowledge of the product (she said that there’s 36 grams of sugar in Champagne when a guest asked her). The tasting was pretty limited as well. An express description and people were ushered out quickly. I can only imagine how worse it gets during high season. For the amount we paid, it didn’t feel special. If you’re looking for a big wine house to visit, go to Pommery instead.

Tour included a video, tour of caves and tasting of one champagne. Large group for the tour, one of the only crayeres in Reims. Interesting to hear about the history. Very informative tour just over an hour. Tour ended with a glass of champagne. House is walkable from town.

We visited several champagne houses in the region. This one had the most interesting cellars. Tour prices are similar to other homes. It's about 12 degrees Celsius in the basement. I recommend taking something warmer
Pretty cool Champagne tour; however, our tour guide insinuated we had to leave with our little children as they were being too loud. He was completely oblivious of how difficult it is for us to raise two toddlers. Instead of being helpful, he made us feel unwelcome. We also went to Moet & Chandon and the tour guide was so much better…they even had the children partake in the tour and explained the Champagne making process even better. Tour guides at Taittinger need training on how to deal with families with small children or give us a tour with other families with small children.

The main tour place was under renovation and closed. We met in a fantastic old building, in an upstairs room. We tasted 2 champagnes. This definitely didn't fulfill my curiosity about Taittinger. But the champagne is lovely. Friendly staff.
We walked in around 10:30 and asked to join the next tour. We had to wait about 45min until the next available one. We took a small walk to a cafe very close to the gates while we waited. They had tours in English and French.
We choose the second most expensive option (43euro) which included tour + 1 glas of brut reserve + 1 glas comets de champagne (excellent choice!).
Tour started with a cinema presentation. After that down to cellars. The guide was very nice and explained the history of the house and the champagne process. The tour went through the same area where worker was doing their day to day business in the cellar which made the visit more interesting.
Tasting came as the last part and we got the opportunity to purchase bottle and other branded items.

Really enjoyed the visit to the church. Simple yet impressive details at the same time.
Beautiful. Last time I was in Reims couldn't visit this exemplary Romanesque basilica. Today I enjoyed it! It is not exactly downy, but it is definitely worth a visit. Dalle du choeur de l'abbey Saint-Nicase exposed here is an extraordinary masterpiece.
Smaller than Reims Cathedral, but very nice too, it is much quieter and less crowded here, calm atmosphere, silence, peace, beautiful statues, interesting altar, high arches, definitely a must see...
The basilica has a particular design which I loved. And it reminds me of a tortoise.
The museum of the same name is just behind. And to be in communion with God, one could stay in the beautiful gardens and parcs surround the basilica. Those spots were my favorite. In addition, there was a parc of bikes to rent not far. However for a foreigner it was a bit hard to get those e-renting bikes as the process of rental logged out when we needed to register our credit card. There was not another way to rent a bike in the city. We then just enjoyed walking around.

Such a beautiful medieval church and it’s one of the UNESCO world heritage. It is very well maintained. A must see if you are in Reims.

Amazing one of the prettiest and peaceful churches of Reims. You can get buses from Opera Cathedral and visit it any time during the mentioned hours. I loved it.

Great tour of champagne maker. Very interesting! Our tour guide was very knowledgeable. At the end we got some champagne tasting while still in the cellars.
Interesting tour, the chalk caverns were an experience. The guide to manufacture, history or of course tasting were well presented. The staff were friendly and helpful. Would recommend if you are interested in champagne. Go for the double tasting tour, the vintage is so nice. Hope you enjoy your day

Certainly one of the more interesting champagne houses with a great cellar and fantastic champagnes. Unfortunately the tasting itself was not very impressive. They just offer you the drinks and leave. I’d have expected a little more.
Great tour! Learnt a lot. Enjoyed the cocktail drinks! The area to drink was nicely decorated and felt very relaxed atmosphere. Shop had loads to buy compared to their competitors.
Great experience overall. Staff was well informed and taught me a lot about champagne in the process. The tasting was also very much worth it (4 tastings). We ordered two bottles of the 2015 vintage because we liked them so much. My only critique was that they should have had the cafe open. After the tasting, we wanted to stay longer to try more, but we couldn't because the cafe was closed due to the weather. So be careful if you visit when the weather isn't prefect.
Having come to Reims for a short break, I was excited at the thought of visiting the house of my favourite champagne. Upon checking with Google, we were informed that it was open to visitors. After the three mile trek from our hotel my dreams were soon quashed by the over glamorous receptionist who informed us that all the tours were booked for today and the visitors centre was closed, we were however free to browse the shop. The place looked empty, desolate in fact. The shop was ok, hideously over priced though. I’ll save up my club card points and grab a bargain when it’s on offer in the UK, with much less pomp. After all as I have been wisely reminded by the love of my life ‘it is only fizzy wine after all’.
The House and Cellars were amazing. 30 min tour was perfect for us as a non-French speaking couple. Didn’t understand much but the tour guide was open to questions. The best bit was obviously the tasting plus the Cheeses. Also tried the 2012 Vintage - needless to say, this left us in a very merry mood. Wish there was more of the house to explore but the Terrace was nice enough.
We had the most amazing tour here and got to see everything from the vines in the fields to the end result, and everything in between. I highly recommend the full 4-hour tour. Best thing we have done in Reims! Thank you to our guide, Marta (?). She was amazing!
I was worried at first. It’s very commercial on the surface and the general tasting area is down by the toilets. Not very glamorous and very busy. But the slightly more expensive tour gives you a bit of space and the tastings is in the caves. Really recommend upgrading!
This was my second champagne tasting experience. The cellar tour was good. The big disappointment was tasting at the end of the tour. Almost everyone in my group had dirty / used champagne glasses set neatly at their table. It was awful, to see finger and lip stains on these glasses meant for the tasting experience. Our guide got it changed but the quality meant to be experienced had already been ruined.
A good wine tour that primes your senses and then a great cheese and wine tasting in the caves. A bit chilly so bring a jacket if you're sensitive. Highly recommend the prestige tasting!

We did the guided tour with cheese and it was so amazing Marta was a wonderful knowledgeable guide. The property is stunning and the cellars are incredibly clean. Definitely would recommend a trip but do buy tickets in advance.
The visit to the cellar was interesting. Learning about Widow Clicquot was very enlightening. I think since you have to be a certain age to visit the website, that same age limit should apply to visitors to the cellar. We had a sweet little girl on our tour. The guide did a wonderful job accommodating her but you can tell she felt out of place.
The tour was straight and to the point. We were lucky enough to taste a 6 year champagne and I now know the proper way to remove the cork on the champagne bottle
I had a wonderful tour with Emma on May 5th, 2024. She was very informative and made sure to provide enough time to answer any questions. Lovely tasting experience as well with four wines including (not including the most famous Yellow Label, which gives you the opportunity to try new ones)! The woman at the front desk in the afternoon until closing was absolutely LOVELY. She provided by far one of the best customer service experiences I have ever had. She was so kind, helpful, and went above and beyond for every guest. The outdoors cafe was lovely as well with a lovely cheese plate option.
We visited for my girlfriends special birthday. It was a brilliant experience. The tone was set by the security guard when we arrived, he was super helpful and very courteous. The guided tour, the cafe and the boutique were superb and the staff were so helpful. The manager was very presentable and made sure our visit was as good as it could have been. Thank you so much.
Visited the famed Veuve Clicquot Cellars and came away with mixed feelings. Undoubtedly, the quarries underneath are a sight to behold, and the chalky environment maintaining the perfect humidity and freshness for the countless bottles is impressive. Tasting the champagne was a delightful experience. However, one can't shake off the feeling that much of its allure comes from pure marketing mastery. It might seem overrated for those looking beyond the brand's sheen. If you're in the area, I'd recommend taking a detour to explore other, possibly less-commercialized houses for a broader perspective. Overall, three stars
Honestly I was expecting the tour to be a bit of a tourist trap and be very generic, but I enjoyed the tour bit of this visit. We were led through the VC caves by the visitor center, where they share the history of the champagne house and the champagne making process. Interesting to hear all the background and see the infrastructure that allowed VC to continue production throughout even the world wars and other challenging periods.
Would recommend for people to check out with the tour. The cafe looked a bit gimmicky and overpriced.
The tasting itself was mediocre and they only gave one glass. Minus one star for that.
We had an amazing tour. The host was very friendly and informative. We did the tour undergrounds with 4 tastings (€75 pp). The only reason it’s not 5 stars for us is because we felt a bit hurried during the tasting. As they were pouring the first champagne, she was already explaining about the second one. We did not get time to finish our drinks (or drink as much as you’d like since 4 was a bit much to drink in one sitting). Maybe some bites would improve the tasting as well. However, as said, we did really enjoy it. The cellar was very impressive, the host knew all the answers to my questions and the smell experience was great! I really would recommend the tour.

Worst experience ever! Booked a visit for 2 persons and a small dog wasn’t allowed which is ofcourse understandable. We weren’t aware of this as other houses didn’t have this policy. No solution was provided at all, they even suggested to leave the dog in a car with 23 degrees and burning sun. Just a shame. This just showed Mumm is a commercialized champagne house with the most horrible customer experience.

Knowledgeable and very enthusiastic guide Lilly (sorry if the the spelling is wrong) gave an interesting tour of the wine house and was very kind to answer the questions. I believe her attitude was the key of our experience and we’d definitely recommend coming here. Comparing to others houses, we found this to be one of the best values for money combined with the high professionalism and attention to the detail of the team.

We took a tour of the Maison Mumm with Paris Visions last September and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Our guide was very knowledgeable of her subject, personable and spoke English very well. It was an interesting and worthwhile adventure into the world of “bubbly” production. And who can complain about a couple of glasses of it to wind up the tour? 🤙🏼
A truly enjoyable experience. We booked the Mumm RSRV Club Experience last minute as we were looking for a different way to spend the day while in Paris, and very glad we did. Included in the experience was a tour of the cellars and a tasting of 100% Grand Cru Mumm RSRV collection, paired with French cheeses.
Pauline was knowledgeable, very friendly and willing to answer questions we had, no matter how silly. Definitely recommend this experience for those who are looking for something different to do aside from the popular tourist attractions in Paris or experienced Champagne drinkers completing a tour of the region.

We arrived at the last minute and were very lucky to have a tour in English, we would have gone anyway as my husband speaks French, but some nuances would have been lost along the way. Wow, I've been through a lot of feelings going through this place with a great historical load. If you are a fan of history, I recommend you to visit this place, it is the place where the kings were crowned, you can discover a multitude of personal objects of the royal family, clothes, jewelry. The location is impressive as a building, also right next to the cathedral. Everything is impeccable, mysterious, well maintained.
This is a place where Kings have been crowned. It is stunning and mystical at the same time. Situated next to the Cathédrale Notre Dame de Reims, it is a place to see if you are fan of history and royalty. The display is amazing and takes you on a journey across the lives of Kings. We were alone in the museum early morning so that could be the best part of the day for a visit. Zero queueing and the whole place just for us, the stroll became almost a VIP one. It will not take more than 1 hour unless you really want to spend 5mins contemplating every display, carpet or statues. Equipped with the Education pass and a kid of 11, the entry was free on top of that. Plan your visit and buy your tickets in advance to go quicker otherwise wake up early and enjoy the museum at your own pace freely.
Walking through the palace was quite emotional. Having the privilege to see the actual garments and personal belongings of the French Nobility was one of king of experience. I highly recommend this palace located next to the Cathedral which is full of history it self.
Great artifact collection. Worth getting the audio guide because all the exhibit descriptions are in French. I would recommend getting a combined ticket because entry price is 8 Euros.
This is a must in order to get a full understanding of the cathedral. Definitely worth the entrance fee.
I'd say it's a must for anyone in Reims or stopping by in the city. The coolest part for me was to see some of the old statues that fell off the cathedral which are now on display inside the palais. Really makes you appreciate the craftsmanship and the detail that went into buildings back then.
I have been trying to experience the museum of my adopted country while covid has kept most tourists away. I have seen a lot of museums that have done a good job balancing the safety of visitors with the ability to still see and understand the exhibit. This was not one of them. The gestures taken for covid seem haphazard at best and nonsensical at worst.
Also, as a warning, all explanation plaques are in French which is fine. More worryingly, signs indicating directions and important information are inconsistently translated into English and German (sometimes one, sometimes both, sometimes neither) and the translations (in English anyway) are mostly terrible.
Beautiful museum, although none of the explanations were in English it was still worth a visit.
Good museum featuring an explanation of the coronation ceremony, regalia, and treasures, along with a history of the cathedral structure and many sculptures saved from the facade.

The cathedral is breath taking architecture and a wonder. I am trying to figure out, how could people from the past and would have appreciated the fact that this cathedral receives nowadays only or most of the time visitors? Where is faith gone? Where are the believers and Christians?
This church is stunning, the amount of detail work that’s gone into the statues which holds the record for the most figures in a church in the world is just magnificent. The glass work is eclectic and like non I’ve ever seen before, I can only imagine how it glimmers when the sun it’s the glass just right. This location is definitely the main attraction in the city and it’s definitely worth the visit.
Incredibly beautiful architecture...didn't know every French king had been crowned here. Younger yet bigger than Notre Dame in Paris. Definitely a must see.

This cathedral is absolutely beautiful, the staff were all very kind. I would definetly recommend visiting the cathedral if you are in Reims or surrounding areas. The cathedral is in stunning condition for being over 400 years old. Overall an amazing experience.
In love with our history, one day I had to visit the city of coronations and of course the cathedral. What a beautiful building filled with so much history, events. A magnificent construction. Huge and whose maintenance and restoration make it a beautiful monument dedicated to the Catholic religion and the coronations of our kings. A statue dedicated to Saint Joan of Arc is necessarily visible there. It's crowded but it's reasonable and then unlike some buildings of the same type, I found a great calm and a beautiful serenity all the same. To see without hesitation. For the duration of the visit everything depends on you, are you ready to read all the informative brochures? Are you a strong believer? So if you belong to one of two categories you will be the sole judge of your time. Otherwise in one hour you will have been able to observe the building.

Amazing, if you are anywhere near Reims this is a site you shouldn't miss. It's easy to access, in a wonderfully peaceful area, and is as or more stunning than many cathedrals in the country. I could have spent days hearing about the historical coronations and critical events in the history of France that occurred at this site.
A true work of art, its size and architectural details simply take your breath away. One of the most beautiful and well-maintained cathedrals in France. Both the interior with the glass painting and the exterior with the architectural details are worth it, you will give them a good part of the time to be admired. Moreover, the cathedral can be visited with a guide in French, German, English.

It breathes history from medieval times, through coronations to modern post war truce meeting with German chancellor Adenauer.
My personal favorite is the smiling Angel on the outer facade.
As with every monument, expect renovations and parts of the interior/ exterior to be covered due to works.
A highlight compared to Paris is that it’s not too busy and you marvel at peace with no too many people pushing you.

This Cathedral has so much character and detail even from the outside, very impressive. The scale of it is quite large for a Cathedral in a smaller town. Definitely worth the stop if you are driving by the area.
Decided to head away from Paris for a day and drive out to REIMS. So glad we did as this place is an absolute gem. The cathedral from the outside is beyond words, absolutely stunning. We were lucky enough to visit when there was a service taking place and the sound of the choir within the high roof of the cathedral was joyous. Out of all the buildings we visited whilst in France this is the one.
Extremely nice building especially when you see its illuminated exterior in the evening, full of statues, big arches, colored windows, the French king was crowned here during the tumultuous years of Joan of Orleans, I think it is always good to go there, sit for a while and think... do not forget to see the Statue de Jeanne d'Arc in front door...
Amazing cathedral built in the Gothic style. Great history behind this cathedral. When visiting this Cathedral take a few minutes to sit on the benches across from the Cathedral to take in the magnificent architecture and the majestic views.
Entrance is free. I spent around 45 minutes inside - walking around admiring the architecture and also taking time to sit quietly and pray.
This is a must visit if you are in Paris. There are frequent trains.

Some guy named Sebastien helped us out in English. Wasn't really in a good mood, by the sound of him. Sounded like he wanted to get rid of us asap. If you're not keen on giving the default tourist explanation on where to go and what to do, don't work in a tourist office, then...
This tourist office is great! The lady who assisted us was very knowledgeable and gave us some insider tips and recommendations that turned out to be spot on. A champagne tasting right there set the right tone for our visit to this region.
Probably the worst tourist information office in the north of France. Absolutely not interested in their job by pointing you to a guidebook, a leaflet, or offering any information which could be of interest. However, it all becomes very clear when you leave the office only to find yourself in a gift shop!
BTW - I'm the only English speaker in a large French family. We asked all the info (naturally) in French. Maybe I should have asked in English, we might have had a better reception?

Although we didn’t go on the tour, the ability to have a glass (or two) on the terrace and take in Ruinart was welcomed, unlike other competitors in the area. Enjoyed every drop and tasting the France-only blend. Would highly recommend.

Unique and very calm and peaceful place. You can get a tour with a tasting experience, but I would recommend to book a chefs’ brunch with champagne pairing. Food is so delicious and elegant and the service is on the ”Michelin star” level! Trust me - that would be unforgettable two hours in your life!
We won't begin to address the superlatives and adjectives used in prior reviews to describe this producer suffice to say they're in a rare class and we'd be redundant. Even if you're a casual lover of Champagne, you should experience this Domaine.
Their history is unrivaled. The cave inventory of 5 billion (not a typo) is insane. And the caves, oh my goodness the caves. Journey well below the Earth's surface into history, chalk walls, art and inventory of bottles beyond comprehension.
Love the bubbles, personally could do without the LVMH perfumed gift shop to acquire bottles. Definitely need to see this place at least once.

Hands down one of the best experience as we’ve ever had. We arrived unfortunately to a French speaking tour, but our wonderful host Leo took care of everything and did our tour specifically in English. We were genuinely blown away by his passion and enthusiasm and knowledge for the champagne Maison. We were already massive Ruinart fans but after touring the crayees and understanding the true history and legacy, and heritage of this incredible champagne, we are lifelong devotees now. What an amazing experience! We did the 2 hours tour which included cellar tour and a tasting of vintage and “regular” champagnes. Our tour guide was amazing, the champagne was delicious and the estate is just beautiful. If you’re in Reims, don’t miss out on the oldest champagne house in the world!
The highlight of my trim to Reims is definitely the visit to Maison Ruinart. It costs €70 for a private tour of not more than 10 people, so you are guaranteed an intimate tour. If you purchase the Reims tourism pass, you can get a 10% discount on the price.
Our guide was on such a engaging storyteller that left me with a renewed appreciation of the brand and the craft of champagne making. The 2 hours tour ended with 2 glasses of champagne, one of them a vintage so you can draw your own comparison.
I won’t recommend to purchase their classic champagne at the store as you can get it cheaper in retails shops outside. Also, be sure to wear comfortable shoes as there will be lots of walking and the fact that you descend 30m below means you’ll have to walk back up.
Good tour through the crayères, with lots of information about the house and the champagne making process. The tasting was amazing. Set in a lovely room, led by a very insightful and kind guide. We had some of the best cuvées of the house, which were some of the best champagnes I have ever tasted.
Most professional tour, explanation and tasting we had in the Champagne region. We enjoyed every moment of this tour and the tasting.
We also stayed for the brunch which is also good, but not unique.

I love museums like this. A unique feeling to be in the same place, the same room where Germany surrendered at the end of the WWII. A real foray into history. The exhibition of models wearing the uniforms of those times fascinated me. Everything looks impeccable, the employees are very kind and the price of a ticket is 5 €. Worth a visit without any hesitation if you are in Reims.
I love WWII history and it was awesome to be in the same place (and see the original room) where the Germans surrendered at the end of the war. The museum is well-maintained and clean, the staff are friendly and bilingual, and the opening 20 minute video was very informative and provided a great introduction before walking through the rest of the museum. Also, admission is very reasonable at just 5€ per person. Thanks for a great visit!
Small museum, an intro movie and 4 rooms. Doesn't take long to read everything and to visit. The intro movie is well done. The displays are very good as well. One room is all uniforms and well displayed. The key room is the one where the surrender was signed and just being in that room was great. Seeing the maps on the wall and knowing that is where the war ended was very cool. There is no dedicated parking, just street parking or the train station parking is very close. If you take the train from Paris, the Museum is just a couple minute walk. We visited on the anniversary of D-Day which did add to the experience.
Great if you love history and care about remembering where the WW2 madness ended.
€10 to get in for a family of 4. Nice friendly multi lingual staff. I suggest you watch the film in the small cinema before you go upstairs to see the exhibits and the War Room. Interesting to see what happened and why this place has been forgotten in recent memory. Good for about 3/4 hour as it's only small. There is a gift section as well.

We liked this museum. Small but with loads of historical significance. The film put everything into context before looking around. Remarkable that the room and the actual table still exists. Very quiet when we went in late March and we were the only visitors. Also it was a "free to get in day" - never found out why, but it isn't expensive to get in when you have to pay. Not too far to walk from the centre of Reims although the area isn't what you might call picturesque.

Free entry till March 2024, worth a visit. There's a short introduction documentary in the beginning.
The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I had briefly stepped away from my group to visit this museum and had very little time. They even arranged for a Uber taxi back. Museum is superb, clean, and well maintained.

It wasn't really a museum but anyway it was nice to know the story of May 7th, 1945.
The tour starts with a short movie about how Reims was liberated and become the central commandant's point in the last year of the wwii.
Then comes the room where the agreement between the allies force, ussr and Nazis is signed.
Worth a visit if you are in the area and are into the history of wwii.

Magnificently restored Art Nouveau house. A Champaign tasting is included at the end. Not to be missed in Reims.
Self guided tour hence could be boring.
Not a lavish tasting like the other champagne house but maybe I chose the wrong ticket. Travelling with a stroller is possible as there are elevators.
Unlike the Pommery exposition, this is not a must-see. The story behind it is nice, but you already hear a lot about that during a visit at the Domaine. Also, it gets crowded quite quick.
For 20-30 euros a ticket and one glass of champagne I personally didn’t think it was worth it. The villa is beautiful and old. If you are into that you will probably love it. I personally just wanted to try some different champagnes. There is also a bunch of weird and creepy looking donkeys all over the place which made my wife and I a little uncomfortable. It was very underwhelming for us and we were very upset to spend 50+ euros on this for some honestly just ok champagne. Especially considering the day prior we bought a local champagne from a store 2 minutes from where we were staying that was about 20 euro. And we loved that champagne that we bought and wish we had just bought 2 more bottles of that instead of the self guided tour with only one glass of champagne.
Also just to note. A lot of the reviews here are very misleading if you aren’t paying close attention. A lot of them are speaking on the pommery domaine which is across the street and supposedly has caves and a more vast wine cellar. This location in particular (villa Demoiselle) was nothing of the sort and had a small cellar room.

Visiting the caves was very interesting, i loved that they are also used as an exhibition hall. The guide spoke 4 languages, very helpful if you don't speak french, and was eager to answer our questions. The second part, with the villa and the champagne tasting was exquisite.
We visited the beautiful Villa Demoiselle. It was a self-guided visit with a paper / audio guide but we didn't feel like we got a lot of information out of it and felt a bit 'lost' during the visit. The guide is mainly focused on the history of the building, rather than on the champagne itself. We recommend to get a guided visit.
The visit is pleasant (much more than Vranken's visit), the house is beautiful, the gardens too. The staff are friendly.
Lost at a top Reims, the Vranken Pommery domaine is just surprising. The Main place is colorful and the experience to visit the cellars is wonderful (take a sweater with you, it's cold anytime during the year).
But if you walk across the street, you'll discover the Villa Demoiselle! One of the treasure of Reims! This Mansion (more than just a Villa) is full of surprises and you learn more about the family who founded and developed the Brand and you also have a different experience !
The garden is so great, so at the end you can just sit and order a glass champagne (Vranken Pommery of course) and discover all the tastes of the bubbles of this amazing beverage !
We went here in combination with the tour through the Vranken pommery basement. I love the way this building looks and it's very inspirational to walk inside. After, as part of the tour, we tasted some champagne which was ofcourse amazing.
A very cool stop in Reims for those who want to see a unique blend of art nouveau and Art Deco. The hostess/tour guide/champagne connoisseur (she wore a lot of hats!) is was welcoming and quite funny. I’d never tried this brand of champagne prior to visiting this villa, but I’m sure I’ll keep one on the shelf for guests from now on.
The Domaine Vranken Pommery champagne cellar’s tour finished by visiting the Villa Demoiselle. It is such a very interesting tour. The villa is nice, with beautiful architecture and decor. You might be surprised by all of the rooms in this villa. They are colorful, with a lot of nice furniture from around the world collected by the family who founded and developed this villa. It is a must see place in Reims.

A very short tour but a very good quality Champagne tasting. One of few places in Reims which give you not only know how information about Champagne production and terminology but some statistics data too. A very friendly staff. I will recommend this House to visit.

I don't know, why I couldn't find this place in touristic information. This place really worth visiting. They don't make excursions to the cellars, but for 12 euros (price spring 2018) you can try 3 kinds of their champagne, the cheapest cists 20 euros, and for 6 bottles you pay price of 4 bottles. During the visit, the young lady was very clear and professional. She was very helpful asking my questions regarding the IIWW and how this event was related with the production of Champagne. Of all the places we visited this was the most informative. We had a few different tastings and the person was incredibly informative. I liked the small setting. I learned a lot about champagne that afternoon. We should have bought more bottles to go.
Nice place with a very friendly guide. Quite impressive caves. However you do not see the barrels where the champagne is stored today. The visit also seems a bit short for the price. They had no stock of the most common champagne.
Jade was an excellent guide - extremely knowledgeable and entertaining. The cellars are BLESSEDLY cool on a hot day. The champagne is excellent and a great value if you purchase on site. I recommend the higher end tour - it’s still very affordable.

We walked in to do a quick tasting and Louie explained everything to the champagne they created to the vibe of the city of Reims. Truly a small business and the best way of stability in the making of champagne. Couldn't have asked for a better experience!

If you're looking for an authentic champagne vineyard tour, BOOK THIS IMMEDIATELY! Rachel, who runs the vineyard with her husband's family, is absolutely amazing! She's from the UK, so she speaks perfect English. We were lucky enough to be there during the harvest, so we got to witness the grapes actually being picked and pressed! Rachel gave us an up-close, informative, and really fun tour of the entire champagne making process- first we visited the vineyards and got to watch and participate in the grape picking process. After we followed the grapes back to the communal press (which you'll learn about- SUPER interesting!), and got to watch the process of turning the grapes into wine. We were literally the only tourist in sight, this is not something you get to see at the big producers! You'll learn that the small family producers, like WB, will only use their best grapes for their own champagne, and then sell their lesser quality grapes to big producers (who then mark it up and sell it to American's at a premium)- Crazy! Afterwards, we went back to the WB Champagne cellar and had an AMAZING tasting (their Rose Champagne was was our favorite!). Thank you Rachel and WB Champagne for the most amazing day!!! We cannot recommend this tour enough!
What a wonderful experience! The town of Sacy is very beautiful and quaint. Our host and her family were very warm and welcoming. She gave us a phenomenal tour of the cellar and a comprehensive breakdown of the entire champagne making process. We then went into their beautiful home and sipped on each of the delicious champagnes that WB makes. Rachel and her family speak both fluent French and English which made the experience even better. We highly recommend this tour to everyone!

The remains of the widest arch in the Roman world, standing in a small, flower planted park.

It stands proud in the middle of the city and close to the rail station. One could enjoy the fresh air and the outdoor activities such walking or skating. I loved it thanks Reims, the very green and clean city.
I think it’s a pretty space.
They set up hammocks in addition to the seating and eating areas, and it can be a nice little place to relax and chill, especially when the weather is nice.
It’s also right next to the city Centre, train station, and is surrounded by lots of bus and tram stops.
If you’re a more private person who likes very quiet and covered areas, it might not suit you that much though.
Easy to access and a big old Roman arc
Under wraps (as of June '23) and looking a bit like a Christo piece of art, is the amazing 2000+ year old Port of Mars, last standing gate (of 4) of the Roman citadel of Durocortorum. The monolithic equivalent of a Roman coin.

For what it is, it's a remarkable monument. The largest arch surviving from Roman times. Served as an entrance to the ancient city of Reims.
