I am here for 10 days and to be honest I wanted to leave 2 days earlier, I personally don't think Hotel Cormoran is worth 4 stars here and I will explain why in details, day 1 staff behind the counter with poor English, check-in went smoothly, we arrived enter the room and check everything, remember that as a follow-up, dust is everywhere, a visible layer on the TV in the bathroom, also on the toilet, on the toilet roll holder on the bedside tables on the skirting boards around, I could say that this room has not been cleaned properly for a while so nice reception, I describe the room as recently renovated, except for the bathroom that looks small and 90's with an old shower head, the toilet seat stands crooked, so if a man has to pee standing up, you have to hold the toilet seat yourself, there is of course new and clean towels, but there is 1 dirty white one with yellow spots on it that they never change (that's actually a bath mat, so to speak), when sleeping you don't always get a good night's sleep because the walls and ceilings are so thin that you can hear TV or people clearly !! So an afternoon nap is not always applicable. Breakfast is great, you have almost everything (except bacon for the fans), I really have nothing to say there, only the people who impatiently stand around you and stare when you are at the coffee machine to serve yourself, they have their own beach area with beach beds and parasols, but if you ask at the counter for prices, etc., you have to go to the beach yourself and ask for your information there, if you asked at the counter what you can do as activities, they don't bother to send you brochures or posters or even books with information to show you, she casually points with her finger to the corner to the left of the counter where there is a rack full of brochures, etc., so you can draw your own plan, half of the people who work behind the counter only speak Italian or they don't bother to to help you (they have not received sufficient training or they no longer like doing their job), I once ate a bad scampi at dinner (raw like) and I mentioned it to a waiter in a friendly manner and I received the answer in French (that is not possible and cannot go into further detail), I have no experience as a server or such, but I know that you have to apologize yourself and inform the guests to have new ones or to offer something different, here in case it is not so and what Funny thing is, the next day you just laugh in your face and say (if you want raw scampi I can get it to you) YOU DON'T MEAN THAT!!!! I curtly say no, thank you and I will not go into further details. Today is our last day and so far, as I mentioned at the beginning, all the dust in the room and bathroom is always there, today we went to the room earlier after breakfast and they We had just started “cleaning” our room, in about 15 minutes they were done and I checked and yes, of course, they always have the same dust and they haven't really vacuumed the floor (I didn't even hear it when we were waiting). ) but they did mop the bathroom floor once during those 10 days, that's all they do is make your bed and hang new towels! they have a Ping Pong table and a broken billiard table, you do get a token for it, but the board lies nicely on the floor so you can open a latch from the inside to drop billiard balls. For the rest outside the hotel you have a good swimming pool with a high springboard, a jacuzzi and a small swimming pool for children, you are also 5 minutes from the beach and near a long street with shops and a bar and restaurant.
Cattolica is beautiful and not far from SAN Marino where you can visit cheap shops plus visit the beautiful castle and also Riccione which is 6 minutes from here by car. I would come back, but not in this hotel ... I really don't think 4 stars are worth it. I have had hotels that are better in hospitality and rooms that are tip top clean and some only have 1 star, so here I would give 2 in my opinion. give stars but who am I?
