Devon at the front desk, the breakfast lady, and the shuttle driver were all excellent, polite, and helpful. The rest of the staff seemed to have a lackadaisical attitude, which showed in a lack of attention to detail. There were some M&M's under the bed. The body wash dispenser was empty. The bathroom sink was partially closed, and the stem was broken, so there was no way to fully raise the plunger. Interacting with the other staff felt like we were inconveniencing them.
We had connecting rooms with two Queen beds, and the rooms were a good size, with Dish Network for the TV, which included a good selection of channels. The connecting room doors would not stay open, which was also an annoyance. The beds were comfortable, but they only have soft pillows. That was fine for us, but keep in mind if you are someone that likes a firm pillow.
The free breakfast was good - they had two waffle makers, several different juices, cereal, toast/muffins, and then each day they had an egg item, a potato item, and either bacon or sausage. The dining area would fill up several times throughout the morning, but they have an overflow room to ensure all guests are able to find a place to sit. We didn't enjoy the potatoes, they seemed to have a strange seasoning of some sort, but the rest of the breakfast items met expectations.
Flour Girl & Flame is a fantastic pizza shop a few blocks from the hotel. If your stay allows for it, we highly recommend them and suggest you check them out.
The hotel offers a free shuttle to the Brewers game, which we used during our stay. The shuttle holds 14 passengers, you need to get on the list for the shuttle the morning of the game, and they will give you a choice of several times to choose from. Be in the lobby 10-15 minutes before the scheduled departure time to ensure the shuttle is able to leave on time. The shuttle picks up at the same location you get dropped off, which is different from nearly all the other shuttles, and the shuttle driver will also give you a card with a phone number. You can use the number to call for the shuttle if you want to leave before the end of the game. There is only one shuttle, and it takes about 30-40 minutes for it to make a round trip, so keep that in mind while you are waiting for it. We found the different pickup/drop-off location for our shuttle nice since it was much less crowded.
I would have given the hotel a 3* rating but considering the primary purpose of our stay was the Brewers game, and considering the usefulness of the free shuttle, I bumped the rating up to a 4*.
