I was genuinely excited to experience your renowned restaurant and chose the Tapas Experience for 2 for Valentine's Day, which included the Sweetheart package with candlelight, a rose, and champagne. Unfortunately, our evening fell short of expectations from the beginning. Upon arrival, the servers were unaware of our prepaid reservation for the special package, leading to a somewhat disorganized start. While our server was kind, it surprised me that the staff was not informed beforehand.
Ordering an additional rose added to the wait, prompting an apology from the bartender who was clearly stressed, and I heard mention to another table was just “so busy”. Understandably due to the wedding we did not know about prior!
It soon became apparent that the staff was grappling with the simultaneous demands of regular service, a wedding in the private balcony, and the Valentine's experience. Despite the staff's kindness, they seemed overwhelmed. Anticipating a quiet and romantic atmosphere for our pre-paid "candlelit Valentine's experience," we were disappointed by the unexpected blaring music from the wedding party ( that was not mentioned ANYWHERE when booking our reservation ),the wedding party's intrusion into the dining area for photos which included a ton of flash photography that left me and my partner very stressed ( as we are both autistic, and these sorts of flashes can be triggering, especially when it was so much, and so unexpected so we weren’t prepared ) and the vet delayed delivery of our champagne that was supposed to be included in the package.
Regrettably, our anticipation for a romantic evening with the promised "candlelit Valentine's experience" turned into a stark disappointment. The lack of a candlelit ambiance, glaring lights, and persistent loudness created anything but a romantic setting. The absence of any mention of the ongoing wedding, coupled with Kesha's blaring music and the wedding party intruding into the dining area for photos, left us feeling like an afterthought in our quest for a special Valentine's celebration.
It was disheartening to witness both our dining experience and the wedding being compromised, and we couldn't help but feel empathy for all parties involved. The lack of transparency regarding the simultaneous events detracted significantly from what was meant to be a memorable evening. Considering these challenges, we hope for a sincere acknowledgment and a suitable resolution, such as a partial or full refund for the entire Tapas Experience, to rectify the disappointment we experienced.
While the food was good, it was hard for us to enjoy considering the other circumstances.
