We were fortunate to get married in this stunningly beautiful place in September and we couldn't have imagined a more perfect venue. We had our dream wedding and in large parts, this was possible thanks to Annarita, Neri, and the entire team! I want to highlight every aspect that made our wedding so wonderful below.
TL;DR: This place is worth a visit just for the views, its amazing, locally sourced food, and the excellent wine - whether you're looking for a nice agriturismo to spend a couple of nights at or if you're searching for a beautiful wedding venue!
The place: One of the reasons that Tenuta di Mensanello stood out to us compared to other venues was the fact that approx. 80 people can be accommodated here (including Podere Fontediaccia, which is the true hidden gem here if you ask me). It is located on top of a hill, allowing you to overlook the most beautiful Tuscan landscape. The rooms are spacious, very clean and come with the typical furniture you find in Tuscany.
Another massive plus is the fact that they have a restaurant that prepares absolutely delicious food with many of the ingredients coming from their own production (e.g. EVO, cold cuts, wine etc.). The whole agriturismo feels like a little village with multiple buildings, with the highlight being a beautiful swimming pool. In addition, there is Podere Fontediaccia, which is located a couple of hundred meters away in the middle of the vineyards - it's perfect because it has a very remote feel to it while still being very easy to reach. Overall, Tenuta di Mensanello offers various locations within the same venue, which is perfect if you're spending a whole wedding weekend like we did.
The food: We loved the food at the restaurant from the beginning, but with the wedding menu they really took it to the next level! While naturally having a stronger focus on meat based dishes, Annarita and the wonderful chef Sabrina kindly accommodated all dietary preferences and also prepared super tasty vegetarian and vegan dishes. As a wedding cake, we asked for one huge tiramisu and honestly, it was the best tiramisu we've ever had. And then there is the wine...you really can't go wrong with any one of them and if you get the chance I highly recommend doing the wine tasting tour.
The people: Working with Annarita has been one of the best parts of the entire wedding planning process! She's the kindest, most patient, and most helpful person any bride could ask for :) As I'm sure many brides do, I had plenty of questions and special requests. Annarita always replied quickly, communicated clearly what could be done and offered new suggestions or advice. This was invaluable to us as we didn't have a wedding planner and are also not located in Italy. Annarita and the whole team really did their best to make us feel so well taken care of. We really appreciate their every effort and are forever grateful for making our dreams come reality.
