The food and service was excellent. The shrimp cocktail was the best my father has ever had and lived up to the hype. The steaks were tender and seasoned to perfection. I highly recommend the 38 oz prime rib and the Tomahawk. All of our steaks were exquisite and and the blacking seasoning really put them over the top. The onion rings and mashed potatoes were excellent as well. The Bourbon butter cake and Green Apple sorbet were a perfect end to our meal. Mark our waiter was personable and very attentive. I would highly recommend this establishment to anyone in the Indianapolis area and to anyone from all over as it is definitely worth the drive.
Coming from someone on a keto diet, this was a great place to eat. My steak was delicious, although pretty fatty. We also got brussel sprouts (which were fantastic) and green beans, too. I had some lobster bisque that was quite good, but we didn't try the shrimp that everyone said they're known for. The ambiance was nice and our waitress was very good, but I personally feel like we could have gotten a comparable meal for half the price at another steakhouse. Overall, it was a good experience (for one time to say we'd been there) but I don't think it was worth as much money as we paid.
St. Elmo did not disappoint!! Their world famous shrimp cocktail is a must, and it would be a sin not to have it! The spice from the horseradish brings it to a whole other level. And then, to top it off, I added a 36oz Bone-in Primed Rib with loaded baked potato and Lobster Bisque for the cherry on top for a fantastic meal!! This place deserves nothing but 5 stars across the board! You will have multiple staff waiting on you thru the night, and the ambiance is very vintage and gives off prohibition type vibes.
We went here for a date night and were absolutely blown away by the amazing food, the lovely old historical place, and our server was amazing! He was one of those people you could tell he was a career waiter and it really just takes everything to a whole other level. we got the shrimp cocktail, (it’s spicy but so good) the king crab Mac and cheese, the seafood pasta, and the steak. Everything was cooked perfectly and came out at exactly the right time. Definitely splurge though and get the lobster bisque. It’s worth the up charge.
We visited to celebrate my wife’s birthday and, once again, we were not disappointed. Shawn took care of us and we couldn’t have been more pleased with him. While he did check in on us throughout our meal, he never interrupted.
We started with the world famous shrimp cocktail to clear our sinuses. Then, my wife had an 8oz fillet and I had a 28oz Porterhouse that were both incredible. We also had skillet mushrooms and loaded baked potatoes.
Everything was AMAZING and I highly recommend you checking out St. Elmo Steak House.
