Isolina in Barranco, Lima is a gem that offers an unforgettable culinary experience with authentic Peruvian cuisine. Reviewers rave about the fresh and zingy flavors of dishes like scallops, ceviche, and beef. The large portion sizes are perfect for sharing or opting for personal servings to try more from the menu. Despite occasional wait times, the warm ambiance, friendly staff like server Saby, and top-notch food make Isolina a must-visit spot where every bite feels like a journey through Peru's rich culinary heritage.
Awesome food! We came on a Sunday without a reservation just after 12pm and got seated straight away (when we left just after 1.30pm there was a queue out the door).
The scallops and Ceviche tasted super fresh and zingy. The beef was very tender, fell right off the bone and was packed with flavour. Portion servings are large but we got the personal serving sizes which are pricier but allowed us to try more of the menu.
Would recommend to other travelers!
Amazing food, excellent attention & well balance menu.
When I say well balance & mean quality, size & price.
This is a restaurant serving traditional food from Lima with a great presentation & superb flavours.
If your budget allows this do not hesitate.
Enjoy!!!
It’s restaurant to return as many times as you can.
🗓 We arrived on Friday at 8pm without a reservation and had to wait for an hour to get a table. The people that arrived at 9 waited for about 15 mins.
🥘 The sizes are big enough to share, they have alternatives if you want the personal size. We had the butifarra, cebiche, conchitas, tiradito, lomo saltado … the fish is incredibly fresh.
🔥Ask for a spicy sauce and you will not regret it.
💰The price is appropriate.
🍷We asked for the wine menu and they didn’t have any, but they did recommend some alternatives
🤵♀️Attention was good, but a bit lacking: They forgot a plate and we had to ask multiple times to place and order
📍 In a very busy street, you have multiple alternatives around if you can’t get a table here.
Big portions of home cooked style Peruvian food. Delicious and reasonably priced. Very popular, so you might wait a little bit for an indoor seat on a busy day (or possibly sit outside right away), but totally worth it. My wife (from Lima) and I have been here a few times and it's one of our favorites in Lima. Highly recommended.
Excellent food, so flavoursome, big portions. We went here a few days in a row while we were in Lima and it was by far the best restaurant we tried. There is lots of seating options and has a great vibe.
