Meimo, a Moroccan restaurant in Windsor, offers a mix of experiences according to reviewers. While some praise the nice and quiet atmosphere with friendly staff, others find the food lacking in taste or overpriced. The decor is highlighted as good, and the service is generally commended for being welcoming. Dishes like chicken wings and shrimp appetizers receive positive mentions, while some feel that portion sizes do not justify the prices. Despite mixed reviews on food quality and pricing, many visitors appreciate the authentic Moroccan flavors and recommend trying dishes like tagine or kebabs.
Originally we were going to an Italian restaurant here
But since we didn't have a reservation, we randomly found this restaurant to eat
The atmosphere of the restaurant feels very good and the decoration is also very relaxing
The waiters are also very good and friendly
On the contrary, the trouble is that there are so many options on the menu
It takes a long time to choose for the first time
It must be very painful if you are a patient with choice difficulties LOL
The food is very authentic and surprisingly delicious
Worth a try! Recommended~
The place is nice, quiet, a bit crowded, the decor is good, the waiters are nice and friendly
The food is not tasty at all, the grills and the tagine also lacks taste
We ordered a cooked steak, but he gave it to us unripe
Moroccan tea was nice and a gift from the restaurant
We started with chicken wings and shrimp appetizers in tomato sauce and spring roll were delicious.
Prices are very, very high, 85 pounds for two adults and one child
I hope that the level of service will be improved and the prices will be taken into account
We had Moroccan food few years back, it was amazing and on a special occasion we wanted to try again at an authentic Moroccan restaurant. We were looking for nearby restaurants and this was the highest rated Moroccan restaurant at various websites. We went there for dinner. It’s not a fine dining experience, but food was good. We tried three different mains. Although I am not an expert in Moroccan food, I found previous experience was better. This time we felt taste was more soupy. Plenty of seating area and mostly were empty. Even outdoor seating available if not cold outside. Parking available roadside - after 6 it’s free, but limited availability. Alternatively Victoria street car parking lot is also nearby. Staffs were friendly and served quite quickly.
Very nice and tasty, welcoming staff.
Reasonably priced lunch menu.
I'll be back the next time in Windsor 👍👍👍
The place looks very nice and the staff is very nice, but i dont really get the hype about the food.
Portions were reasonably large but quite average tasting. We had the lunch menu “deal” which included starter and main for £15.95 which seems like there were the individual prices of the 2 items anyway (£3 starter and 12.95 main)
Overall good portions - money ratio but I don’t think I’ll go back
