Duke's Malibu offers a consistent and delicious dining experience with friendly staff, ocean views, live music, and hula dancers creating a relaxing atmosphere. Reviewers highlight the amazing sunset views, sightings of dolphins, and the must-try Hula Pie dessert. While some mention small portion sizes for the price and valet parking costs as downsides, overall positive feedback emphasizes great food quality and service.
Duke’s has always had consistent food flavor and quality for me. I’ve been to their place in Hawaii, Huntington Beach and Malibu a number of times.
Each of them we were greeted with a friendly staff and seated promptly. If it’s not too chilly the patio seating is awesome.
The ocean views watching the waves, paddle boarders and sea life are so relaxing and comfortable during the meal.
The food and appetizers were very well made, however the sizing was quite small for such a large price (especially the shrimp). The burger was honestly mid but the fish plates excelled. The view is amazing, you look right out to the pacific. Valet parking was a bit odd and added to the costly experience. Service was great, we were seated very quickly (granted it was a Monday night), and would overall recommend to visit when in Malibu.
Service and view were phenomenal. Very friendly and accommodating. Wonderful overall experience. We rated the food 4/5 because we felt the sauce on the steak was too mild but the steak was great. Wish there were more asparagus stalks with it. Fish and chips were good but have had tastier fries. Pie was yummy - but tasted like typical ice cream pie (tasted more like vanilla ice cream than macadamia nut). Hummus plate was very good. Parking is valet ($12 on day we went), but there is also free street parking.
Great Food,Ocean View,Good people. Hula Pie on Point just like the Islands. Dinner was awesome. Duuuukes Malibu Baked Fish Mahi Mahi,Fish Pot,Hawaiian Plate,Ahi Tuna,All of it. Went back a few days later with the Captain and got Brunch. Loco Mocos and Duke's classic Burger are great 👍
Fun little spot with locations across California and Hawaii. Really nicely done Hawaiian vibe with decent food. Enjoyed the ocean view and lively atmosphere. The chicken tenders were crunchily breaded, but the fries were a little soggy. Probably the biggest downside of the visit. Our waitress (Carmin) was very attentive and kind. The Hula pie was creamy and delicious. Definitely worth trying. Keep up the good work, Duke’s!
