The beach was very good. Several areas with different rules with umbrellas and sunbeds. We paid 5 euros for an umbrella and two sunbeds and could use the food and drinks we brought. The girl who gave us information about the area was very nice and kind. Behind us were two private houses and a bar with plenty of food and drinks. We are satisfied!

So warm place even on winter, seriously worth it coming here. The water is so clean and place is so calm at the same time. If not paradise then what? I think there must be a cafe sometime in the future everything else looks very good to me.

Beautiful water, very wide, clear blue and plenty of space to swim. Also you can do a short hike to see the stone career.

Beautiful bay with calm and transparent water, ideal for snorkeling and swimming. Having said that, the beach is way overcrowded, overpriced and overexploited. Best thing to do is wait for late afternoon (after 17:00), grab a foldable chair and sit on the cliffs. The Mini market has very reasonable prices to get drinks or snacks.

The beach is a bit overrated, a little bit too crowded, but the water is nice. The price for the sunbeds depends on the provider, we paid 10€, nothing included. The view of the ancient marble quarrys is really nice, brinh water with you.

The beach may be the best one in the island. It is like a natural pool and very clean. But the problem is about the management of the beach. Most of the beach is under control of a firm named Aliki Houses. It is the hotel just near the beach and also rents the umbrella and 2 sunbeds for 10 EUR. It was said that there is toilet and shower opportunity also. At the beginning, it was. But they cut the water of the shower and locked the toilet after 15 pm. It was the rudest behaviour I have ever seen in Thassos. You should see the ladies and man trying to use the shower. Yes, as was mentioned before in some comments, it was the beach firm in the middle with white sunbeds. Hope this kind of people leave the sector since they give harm to Greece tourism.

It was a very beautiful beach, rocky on the seaside but sandy inside. Crystal clear waters like most beaches in Greece. Many trees and also protected from the winds, you will never find waves or strong winds there. There are sunbeds all across the beach. There is no price for most of them but you have to eat at the owner's restaurant most of them are fine and tasty. There is only one exception. There is a place called "Aliki" that charges two sunbeds for 50 euros!!! The place is called "Aliki" (not beautiful Alice which is a different one). There are no menus and the prices are whatever they decide. Be careful the beach gets crowded fast and you may not find a sunbed if you go around 13.00 or 14.00. There is no room, if you have your own umbrella and want to go solo, unless you want to sit on the rocks on the edge of the beach (which is kind of idyllic but truly uncomfortable).

Wow wow wow! Everything about this place is fantastic. It's a must to go and visit. Could be crowded on parking and sunbeds. Water is amazing, clean and clear. Sand is light and soft. Food, drinks, music and atmosphere is great. If you come visit this beach, go see Ancient marble quary, it's beautiful with great walking tracks all around just above the beach. Little, crouded, noisy beach, no privacy at all, but with a nice view of the bay. The sunbeds are 10 euro per set or 40eur minimum consumption, depend where you decide to stay. Kids friendly water, not very deep.

7 night holiday in May, beginning of the season so still waking up. This is up there with the best Greek holiday we've had. Beautiful place, friendly people , craggy Greek atmosphere and great value for money. Felt really safe. The beach is lovely and fairly shallow, so good for kids and crystal clear. You won't find sports bars or karaoke though. Very relaxing Yammas

Golden beach is the biggest beach on Thassos island. It is a sandy beach. Located on the North-East part of the island. Hence it is very popular and atracts many tourist. There are planty of hotels for accomodation. Lots of tavernas and restaurant providing cuisine including hamburgers, pizzas and pasta. If you want delicios lamb or goat you must drive 10 min. to a mountain villages and find a local taverna which will provide the traditional local hospitability. ln these mountain villagies local artists sell their hand made souvenirs. Golden beach is huge bay surronded by the highest mountains in Thassos. The view is magestic. The sea most of the time is calm and you can have good time kayaking or padle (SUP) boarding. I don't beleive it is a good place for surfing or kite surfing. The winds are very strong there. Of course you can practice diving, but if snorkeling is your passion you have to walk some time to north and south to the ends of the bay and find propers places to go into see and sea all the beauties of the underwater life of Aegean sea. I would go there with my family.

Absolutely gotta love this beach. It's sandy, long, beautiful, clean, with lots of content and various cafes, that offer free sunbeds with consumation. It's beautiful even when it rains.

Very beautiful beach! Fine sand and the water is crystal clear (very nice to swim and snorkeling). A very large free space for your own umbrella. A good decision will be to come earlier in the morning - till 10-10:30 a.m. in order to secure a parking spot and a good spot at the beach.

The most incredible beach we’ve ever been to! We first came here 5 years ago for our 30th anniversary holiday. Now we visited for our 35th (Coral) anniversary. Be warned, the currents can be VERY strong so be very careful especially with young children. Beautiful beach which is just under two miles long. Well worth the walk along the beach to Skala Potamia - which is a little like Skegness but there are several nice tavernas and some great views from the harbour.

Golden Beach Paros: Golden Beach, located south of Parikia, is considered to be one of the best beaches of Paros. Golden Beach (Chrissi Akti) is a long golden sandy beach extending for 700 metres, famous by windsurfers for its ideal wind conditions. Every August the Professional Windsurfing World Cup is organized on this beach, gathering many windsurfing celebrities. Golden Beach is fully organized offering plenty of windsurfing facilities. Many hotels, apartments and rooms for rent are available in the area. These beaches are reachable from the asphalted road by local buses or private way of transportation. The Golden Beach (greek: Hrissi Akti) is located 2.5km west of Chania city and a few meters east of Agii Apostoli. It actually consists of two sandy beaches separated by some rocks. The west cove is the main Golden Beach and the east one is called Aptera beach. The west bay, which is the most popular, is very well organized with umbrellas, lifeguards, showers, cafes, water sports etc. It has fine golden sand and shallow waters, making it ideal for young children. Moreover, there is a playground for kids nearby. The beach is 1.5km long there is a lot of space so if you have your own parasol you dont have to worry.

Nice beach, long, it has a South quiet side (more narrow, with rocks at the very beginning) where you can watch the kids in the water from the sunbed and a North larger side (noisier and busier) but there's close good taverns all the way, a restaurant with playground, a fruit Market, a train ride that takes you along the beach, water sports - parasailing, banana rides, canoeing, water boarding, etc

One of the best and longest shore on Thassos Island. The beach is sourranded by beautiful cliffs and the highest peak Ipsarion.

It's a beautiful beach, with a nice bar, reasonable prices, cold drinks. The staff is friendly and always around so you could order something anytime. The music was also nice and not too loud. Plus the sea was perfectly clear, it was long sandy beach! I recommend it you should definetly visit it! I think it is the most beautiful beach on the island!

I haven't seen a seashore so shallow for such a big water area. This beach is PERFECT for kids. Bar seems a bit overpriced but I mainly shopped from the nearby Carrefour market and stayed at the free beach area. Coming early in the morning -8/9/10 is a bright idea, then leaving for lunch and escaping the impossible heat and coming back around 18. The sun is visible until almost 21 and the view to the mountain is just beautiful... I have some comments about some garbage in the sand but I can easily blame my fellow Bulgarians for this nasty habit. ( they are much worse at our Bulgarian Black Sea ).

The beach is great, quality sands, highly recommended for families with kids! There are lots of restaurants where you can have lunch! In terms of price, there are decent costs, 8-15 euros per person. As well as you have facilities like WC, showers, a few places where you can park for free, volleyball.

Very nice beach, my partner and i really enjoyed it. Deserving of its name for sure! The sand is extremely fine, soft and shines like glitter. I'd recommend walking along the beach too.

The resort itself is not that great (yes, there are very nice taverns and restaurants, but that's about it). The beach and the surrounding mountains are awesome. The views you get from the water are amazing. P.S.: There is a doctor's office kind of close, but the nearest pharmacy is 3.5 km away. P.S.2: The water gets VERY dirty close to the shore when there are waves.

Beautiful sandy beach several kilometers long. Water can have waves however it is shallow and perfect for kids. Beds are mostly rented by local restaurants with varying prices or consumption limits. Parking space is plentyfull and free.

Very crowded and dirty beach, both the tourists and administrator are to blame. (Smoke buds and trash in the sand and water, very few parking spaces) The service there is abysmal they will charge you for sunbeds, but make you carry them yourself claiming Covid. (While not wearing a mask to support their claim) This is the typical tourist trap kind of place, with a lot of publicity and nothing else. (Charged shower, high prices at bars, etc.) The long strip of shallow water makes thes place suitable for families with small children. So the only good thing here is God's nature wich people took to destroying. 1) Steep dirty road goes to the beach, car park. So, many people leave your car up, by the side of the main road. However, 10min down-hill in the morning is nothing compared to climbing up the dusty road after day of swimming. 2) Extremly crowded, even on weekday. 2 sunbads + umbrella are 10 eur. Almost no space between sunbads. On the further part of the beach there is much more distance between sunbads for the same price. 3) Areas where you can put own umbrella do not seem to be too crowded 4) 50 euro cent to take shower 5) Day we visited was windy. Very big waves whole day. Good fun, but not for the smallest kids. 6) Due to waves water was not clear 7) Very fine light sand

The beach boasts of **fine sand and crystal clear water** that extends for quite a length, making it an **ideal spot for children and non-swimmers**. However, the **amenities** provided by the beach management leave much to be desired. The **chairs and umbrellas** are available at a steep price of **25€**, which is not commensurate with the value they offer. The **toilets** are in a deplorable state, and the long queues make it an unpleasant experience. The **beach bar** is limited in its offerings and overpriced. Moreover, the **parking** facilities are inadequate, with space for only about 50 cars. This makes it difficult for visitors to find a parking spot, especially during peak hours. The beach is best suited for a crowd of around 200 people or so. If overcrowded, as it was when you visited, it can be an unpleasant experience. We recommend visiting during the quiet season. Alternatively, Golden Beach nearby offers a more enjoyable experience.

There is a decent parking downhill in a beachfront. Dear all who is going to Paradise Beach, please take some treats for local cats. There are a lot of homeless and very hungry cats.

Great beach, there is a beach bar you can seat under an umbrella if you don't have one with you but also place for you to sit by yourself. One of the best beaches in Thasos!

The scenery and the beach is amazing. Unfortunately it's really crowded and the bar doesn't offer so many options. The dirt road that goes to the parking lot right at the beach is steep so I would recommend to leav your car up, by the side of the main road. A must go to place, of course.

If you have a proper car to go down the beach, you are lucky, if not, the way to the Paradise Beach is a real Hell, dusty, steep, narrow and quite long for this condition, all the time cars passing and if one has heavy bags to carry with, it is a hassle to reach the beach.I find the name of the beach quite misleading…. The beach bar is overpriced, the ice-cream was 4 euros, and the showers are paid,50 cents, no matter you pay 25 euros for an umbrella and 2 sun beds, only 1 toilet and 1 changing cabin for this crowd! it is also possible to have your own umbrella and chairs, but in case of carrying them down the mentioned way it is really suffering and unpleasant to reach the beach from the main road in the heat… The water is clear and shallow, ideal for families with kids, the sand is super for building castles. There were at least 20 cats in the beach bar.

Big and popular sandy beach. You can have a sunbeds and umbrella for 15€ (you have a free cofee included) at Nikos Grill, or 25€ on the other side of the beach (using showers is included. If you have your own umbrella, have to pay 0,5€ for each shower separately.). Parking place is on the main street, and also on the way to the beach. There is a place for your own umbrella and sunbeds.

Amazing, sandy, expensive beach as a summary. You can park on the main road or go down (~400m) through dirt to get to the parking next to the beach (it's a steep downhill, but road is OK). Beach is surrounded by pinery, it is ~200m wide, with rocks on both ends, but without any good snorkeling options). There are two bars, but also big parts of the beach for placing your umbrellas. The first thing that you notice is sand, it is so fine, that you can use it for building walls. 😊 the second thing that you notice is 25€ for two sunbeds and umbrellas, for which you get two soft drinks or beers. This is too expensive, especially because it is self service, you have to go all the way to the bar to get your drinks (and all future ones). The prices of drinks are higher than on other beaches. There is a gap of ~10m between sunbeds and sea, great for playing in the sand. The sea is clear, sand is on seabed everywhere, with some 40,50m of shallow water, which is fantastic for kids and ball playing in the water. There was a big crowd on the beach, but the long shallow water lessens this. When you get out of the water, you will find out that the showers are not free and it will cost you 0,5€ per shower.

Advise if you are planning to come to this beach! 1. Go before 9-10, so you can catch parking, the sun bed is no problem because there will always be sun beds available just not right at the front, a little further down. Sun beds are €25 which includes one umbrella and two sun beds, with 2 drinks includes of your choice. The beach is absolutely beautiful, no rocks just sand, clear water beautiful sand and water! Definitely recommend. Just very very hard to get down with your car but everyone comes down, everyone can do it! Enjoy it!!

One of the best beach on the island, especially if you are with kids - beautiful sand, gradual entry to the water, no stones... Marvelous view. Very stiff sand - perfect to build castles. One tip - take the turn next to the sign for Nikkies grill, not the Paradise beach road sign. You will get to the same beach but on the other side, which has more reasonable prices. Two sun beds and umbrella cost 15€ and you get 2 items for your choice like frappe or soft drink.

It is very crowded place in June. The water is not clear and not convinced it is worth the walk in a hot summer day down and then up. It is steep path of 400m approx. If you take the road instead is a bit better. Also park at the bar near Giola not on the first one which is furthest point.

It is not worth time and efforts to go down. Parking which is easy to reach is up. So you need to go very bad rocky way down long way and even worse to go after. If you don’t plan to jump, it is not worth to go down. The view is nice from up. Lagoon is just a hole with water and visible only from very low.

There is no entrance fee. Best to go there when everyone is heading back home. We went there around 19:30 (August 2023) and people were clearing out but the lagoon was still crowded. Thanks to that, we had no trouble getting down with our off-road car and we could also find a parking space in the second parking lot. There are two free parking areas. First one is easy to reach and there is plenty of space. The second one is really close to Giola but it’s a rough ride, the roads are really narrow and there are not much space. If you don’t have an off-road vehicle, leave your car in the first parking lot. If you do have one, you are lucky because you don’t have to walk through the steep hill! There is a cafe close to the lagoon but it closes around 7 pm. Better come down with a backpack full of refreshments. Also, there is no place to change your clothes. Wearing sea shoes is highly recommended!

This is a must go place if you're on the island. You don't need to be scared about needing to jump, you can also easily go in. The way there and the way back to car.. not easy. But it is worth it. It is amongst most important sites worldwide, a natural swimming pool.

Great experience, the water was really warm in the morning and ready for jumping... recommendation to go really early in the morning to be alone so you can take pictures and everything. It get crowded fast, and it's hard to make good pics and jumps..

A nice and interesting place to visit. Wear good shoes on the way down to the giola pool. Jumping in is a real fun. It's deep enough so you can jump even from the highest rock. Look carefully for other people jumping in.

Interesting place to visit. Lagoone inside of skales, turquoise color of water. Many people around. We left our car near to taverna and going down about 5 minutes. Big stones, sea, sky - wonderful view!

This place is absolutely unique. Definitely a must-see in Thassos. It's a little bit hard to reach and there's a lot of dust on the parking and on the road to the rocks especially on very hot and dry summers, so be prepared to have your feet and your car really dusty. Make sure you descent to the rocks with comfortable shoes as the stones are slippery. Unfortunately we drew the short straw this year going in August. Because of the very high temperatures, I suppose, the water wasn't clear, but greenish. Maybe it's plankton and algae. Maybe it's better to visit it in a cooler month. It was still marvelous though - the view is incredible and the rock pool is unique. And of course jumping in it is quite the experience.

It's an amazing place, It worth it coming here even during the winter season. Take care to not go very down to the bottom with the car, especially if you don't trust it that much. Best idea is to follow the arrows or a very long white "cable" that shows the road to the lagoon.

Extraordinary what God created nature can do on it's own. Beautyfull. When you go there, don't think twice, just jump !

The beauty of this site is surreal but ruined by soo many people visiting and leaving the trash behind. The road to Giola is very steep,slippery and dusty so you need to be very careful when climbing down. The best time to visit would be early in the morning when only a few people are visiting.

There are signs not to jump everywhere, but people still did. So did I. It was fantastic experience, as it is bit scary. I injured my ribs, so really be careful. On the way back, the shop is amazing with refreshments...

Its beautiful and great for jumping BUT, keep in mind that you have to walk up and down from the parking lot on a dusty path on the hill in open sun. You have to be really carefull if you want to jump because the rock under the water is not even and u may touch the bottom and its better not to jump head first from a high place.

Really beautiful monument of nature, what surprised us is that it is full of sea urchins, so can't imagine how you would safely take a bath there. At the moment of our visit the lagoon was very still and water was clear and it had a serene feel about it. You have to tak a 15-20 minutes hike from the parking, although if you have a 4x4 vehicle maybe you can get even closer. There are also goat herds around which contributed to the overall pleasant experience. We visited off season so it was not crowded at all.

Nice place to see. We didn’t have luck and we were there in a bad weather, so no swimming for us. The road is quiet long on foot and difficult, but is worth it.

natural pool, you can jump but you have to be careful of the rocks in the water. you need special water slippers. Free parking nearby. you have to stock up from the parking lot with water and food if you plan to stay longer.(there is a bar where you can find cocktails, water and ice cream at affordable prices) You can sunbathe on the rocks by the pool. the view is wonderful.

Great place! Tasos have great history and museum displays it first class. Lots of remains from earliest Hellenistic period. Very good setup like timeline. Also museum is set at the middle of remains of old town. Must visit when in Limenas.

Great museum with so much to see, from prehistoric era of the island to the Neolithic era all the way to the ancient Greece and even some after classical period. So much history in here. You'll definitely be in awe with so many statues and history from everyday things that ancient Greeks used to rooms dedicated just to the sanctuaries and temples that are all around the island.

The museum was empty when we visited and that was on a Saturday's afternoon at the beginning of June. We walked around for about an hour and we barely read the history, only vague to make an idea but the exhibits are some gorgeous pieces. History and a blast into the past at the price of a pie. Definitely worth your time, if you enjoy museums that is. The main statue at the entrance is as epic as it gets.

Very nice museum with plenty and interesting exhibitions. Access for baby stroller can be challenging due to the number of steps in-between the floors, but there's fortunately a connecting lift for the main ones (ground and first floor).

Was so much bigger than I expected, the inside is very aesthetically pleasing with multiple open floors. A nice selection of statues and ruins. Informative video documentary in the beginning.

Nice small Museum with very interesting artifacts. Was a pleasure visiting and will do it again, hopefully soon. Very friendly personnel at the Museum was helping out with a smile.

It is nice, and good for young people but prices are high, music is too loud, not good for kids even if there was plenty. Some sunbeds are too expensive, and when those who reserved them finally comes to the beach they start ordering bottles of drink and some stupid food and that is not interesting for all of us "normal people" Water is nice, stuff is ok

Beach is beautiful and well arranged. Staff is really nice but the prices are much higher than every beach bar that we visited on Thassos. We ordered for breakfast scramble eggs and turkey hem tost that were fine , but nothing special and not worth the price point. We also ordered a plate of fruits that was amazing. You can use sunbeds if you plan on spending 15e per person (or 30e if you want some batter spot). Menu is really small, food options and desert options are limited.

Very nice beach, a little pricey on food and drinks but considering that there is no cost for the sunbeds they integrate that cost in the price of the food and drinks. Also the reservation is possible only for the VIP area where you need to order(during the whole stay) for around 100€ per sunbed. On the regular area (first 2-3 rows near the water) you cannot make reservation, (first come first served) the order is minimum 30€ per sunbed. Good music, awesome atmosphere, the beach looks exactly as in the pictures, has mostly sand, no rocks on the beach, water is not deep near the shore. Totally worth to visit it and spend a day.

The best organised beach and the best decorated one. The owners didn't cut corners and managed to create a lush beach jungle. Palms,banana trees and lots of tropical plants combined with natural materials create an oasis for everyone. Even if you sit in the 8th row of sunbeds you have a feeling of being submerged into jungle paradise. The restaurant is equally beautiful and they have different food menus from the beach. The staff are very friendly and super cool. I will highly recommend , we spend 3 days on this beach and would be visiting again in the future. Second on my fav list.

This beach it’s a must to visit when you are in Thassos. They have great food and great services. I loved the fact that they also had a DJ and good music and also the beach it’s pet friendly. The waiter was very nice to our dog and he even offered water for her. Amazing experience at La Scala Beach!

One of the most beautiful beaches in the island, we really loved the place and the sea is mesmerizing. A few things to consider: •If you want to have a peaceful -reading book and sunbathing- day, you should sit in the garden or back of the place, because there are speakers with great music in the middle area •The seats near the sea are a little bit loud due to families with children - it's understandable you shouldn't be blaming the place for that •Around lunch time everyone starts ordering food so if you don't want to wait long you should order a little bit sooner •There are different staff members for different service, staffs who wear light colored shirts are the ones that take your order and help you around the beach and the ones that wear dark shirts are the ones that bring your order Only downside is that they don't have any lock on their toilets and toilets don't have anything to hang your stuff when you're in there. Drinks and foods are really great, we tried most of the cocktails and foods. So if you want a great-vibrant and aesthetically pleasing place to have a great time this beach is really great option for you.

In my opinion La Scala is the most beautiful beach and beach bar in Thassos! Sandy beach, clear blue water…We were here in second half of September, no crowds. Sunbeds are paid for consumption of food and drinks, 10€ per person. The sunbeds for this cost are in the middle, bellow the palms, so not directly on the water like the more expensive. But we didn’t mind, because the ambience and music is wonderful. I have never been to more beautiful beach bar. The prices for coffee are around 5€, sandwitches 10€. Frappe is nothing special but they have excellent cappucino! Toaletes are clean, only donwnside is no wifi, which is the reason for one star less. But all in all, a place worth visiting definitely! 🩵🩵

Amazing ambiance, the entire place gives off an exotic vibe, definitely very unique. Dependong on your prefference sunbeds go from 10e up to 250e. The downside is it is very crowded, you need to come early in the morning to get a seat. The wather is crowded as well as the beach is not very long. It does have good weather sports.

Amazing beach with beautiful view. You don't have to pay the seats but you have to make consumption of a certain value dependin on how near you are to the water. The food is very tasty. The beach is pretty crowded so you have to get there early.

It is well organized and designed beach. It is better to call this place as a club than beach. All the day long there is very loud music with DJ. In own concept, it is successful and vibrant. But you wish to have peaceful day with sun, book, rest it may not be the best place. Shadow is not enough for most of the sunbeds. You need to spend 20eur per person if you located in seaside. If you want to find the place in the cheapest area (garden), you should definitely go to before 10:00. Last but not least, around 17:00 I see some weird foam and dirty things at 50 meters ahead of sea. It didn't look hygienic. Hope it was not what I thought and only for one day to my luck.

Great beach bar. The atmosphere is amazing, the music and service is great. The water is clear. Recommend! Note: if you don’t have a reservation be sure you arrive at the beach before 11 am.
