Baltic Sea on one side, North Sea on the other. How cool is that? Beware of the paid parking. It tales approx. 15-20 minutes to get to the tip of the shore, which is usually pretty crowded. There are also a couple of bunkers on the way. Highly recommended.

Grenen is Denmark's northernmost point and a unique natural phenomenon, it is where the two seas Skagerak and Kattegat meet, and the waves culminate with each other. Also a restingplace for som seals

Absolutely stunning place!! North tip of Denamrk where two seas - Skaggerak (North sea) and kattegat sea meet. It’s a good 15 10 mins from the parking area to get to the tip. We got to see a seal basking in the sun.

Lovely walk

It was an amazing experience and quite memorable. I visited twice in two days both in the sunlight and rain. I really enjoyed by walking for one hour from the hotel to reach here and got the opportunity to explore the nature and landscape. Stunning view of grenen where the two seas meet each other.

Loved this place! How often do you get to stand in 2 seas (Baltic and Northern sea) in one go!! Fascinating. Additional bonus - there are afew WWII bunkers that you can see up close too. It’s a beautiful place - a must do!

Beautiful clean beach which is great for a walk and look at some sea creatures like jelly fish and star fish. Apart from that, not much to do here since you are prohibited from bathing due to currents and it's too windy and cold to just lie and enjoy the sun. NOTE: There is no public transport to get here from skagen train station, so you will either have to walk, rent a cycle or take a very expensive taxi.

Stunning view where North Sea and Baltic Sea (Kattegat) meets- the northern tip of Denmark . On a clear day you could distinguish between the two different see with different colour of water- once in a lifetime experience! If you are lucky, you can also spot seals are laying around the sands. In this shallow reef, many bunkers (made by Germany during WW2) are in sight. There’s also bunker museum nearby. The walk to the tip where the two seas meet from the parking lot, is about 40 minutes hard walk in moving sand and strong wind. There’s a bus available : sandormen for elderly people/people with knee/leg problems.

Amazing views! 100% recommended as a life experience you'll never forget. There are hotels and restaurants in skagen, and a bus called sandormen, that can give you a lift over to the beach and back to the bus station, for about 35 kr. each person.

The Skagen artists lived a vivid and interesting life. It's very fascinating to see how most of them knew each other and how they shared so many things - including art. The current exhibition gives a unique insight to their lives by taking us i to their homes. Worth a visit!

Lots of sentimental and slightly twee paintings of posh people in gorgeous light, or poor people in gorgeous light. Did I mention the light is gorgeous? That seems to be the entire point of the Skagen school. You're better off outside, enjoying the light for yourself.

Nice little museum with fine core Danish cultural artefacts by some of the more famous 19th century Skagen painters. Unfortunately the most interesting pieces were not on display at the time.

I've visited this museum 3 times now & since my last one it has been completely refurbished & enlarged. The artwork gives us a very clear understanding of what life was like with the extreme contrast of life as an artist & as a fisherman with his family. The are very good background descriptions in English & German as well as Danish. There is an excellent gift shop too, together with friendly, helpful staff.

A great collection of paintings by a small group of artists based in Skagens, houses in an interesting building and with a lovely cafe outside. The current temporary exhibition featuring Marie Krøyer is an interesting counterpoint to the main exhibition.

As a Dane, these paintings are national treasures and I highly recommend visiting. I missed an audio guide that could give more insight, without doing a tour. Wardrobe looker’s for free.

Great little museum. Reasonably priced and amazing art works. Personel was friendly and quick to answer questions you had about anything. Signs and descriptions of the art was writin in an unstable tone and you didn't feel like you had to read a novel every time you moved on the the next part of the exhibition. You can come and go the whole day once you have paid for entry, plus you have the option to buy a multi part ticket with access to two other museums in town. All in all I would recommend a visit here even if you aren't a big art fan.

Brilliant experience of Danish art from the late 19th century and of the progressive Skagens commune. Airy, well laid out gallery, brilliant descriptions in English, Danish and German and amazing to see the artists' dining room moved into the museum.

Beautiful and naturally well lit rooms to exhibit the Skagen painters. The collection is too big for one visit, and that's without the special exhibitions.

Worth visiting. A interesting collection with a focus on impressionism. Well curated displays of paintings, sculptures, pottery on two levels. Well light rooms, good ventilation and seats can be found in most rooms to rest the legs. It was not crowded when we visited on a weekday afternoon. We could get tickets on the spot. There is a cafe at the back of the museum and a museum gift shop.

Lovely museum showcasing artwork from many prominent Danish artists who flocked to Skagen seeking a shift away from the bustling cities and provides great information about Skagen's history. It is integrated into the former Brøndum's Inn, where portraits of many prominent artists and the dining room can still be seen. The "drawing" room offers books on the history of many of these artists, and offers great insight. There are two separate galleries and the temporary one of Marie Krøyer was exceptional. One is required store bags in lockers in the basement (make sure to have a 1€ coin or a 20 DKK piece)

We found our visit to the museum very enjoyable! Contrary to some reviews, all staff members were very friendly and helpful. We learned many interesting facts about Skagen and the artists. Additionally, the museum is very clean and well-lit, allowing the paintings to be showcased effectively. A visit is definitely worthwhile.

Large with an extensive collection of art from Skagen. Children are free, however, there is a childs hunt with a lovely prize at the end for only 10kr. Many guided tours throughout the day (check to see if in English) and a nice restaurant in the previous residense of michael and is wife in the middle. The artpieces are enormous and if you would like a litle souvenir. They keep discounted items across from the shop in a seperate room.

Beautiful location. There is plenty of parking, free toilets (probably 7/10 on cleanliness when I visited). The dunes are amazing. It’s very easy to walk to a the edge of the dune where you have a large view of the dune. It’s not handicap accessible however if you can walk it’s a short easy walk to the edge. To climb the dune it took about 30 minutes for a group of young people to climb to the top. View is worth it. You can see both the North Sea and Baltic. Easily see skagen and whatever cruise ship is in port. Great visit for the family. Very clean.

This is a very beautiful and unique place to visit. It is a large area with sand dunes that will give you the feeling to be in the middle of a desert. The landscape and surroundings are dramatic, not to be missed.

Simply stunning. I went there last year and I'm still thinking about it, if you are wondering whether to go or not don't think too much about it and just go. You won't regret it. Another reason to go if the first part of the review didn't convince you: there were many doggos having the best times of their lives :)

Wow. The biggest sandbox one can imagine. The sand feels like silk on your feet. No need to bring your shoes for your walk but bring enough water as you might want to stay longer than you thought. Such a fun place for kids and adults.

An impressive sight. You suddenly end up in a miniature desert where a few hundred meters before fields and forests were.

A giant sand dune that you would totally not expect in a country like Denmark. In some places you can only see sand and more sand. I really recommend it. Probably there's some way to reach by bus, but if you go by car is an easy parking. Also there is a small building with toilettes and picnic tables. By the way, there are some reviews/photos with a lighthouse, those reviews are incorrect and correspond to Rubjerg Knude!

Absolutely astonishing place, the view was breathing, amazing and beautiful! Wasteland changing into a desert and then into a forest with the seas on both ends. I spend there many hours just chilling, watching sunrises and sunsets and drawing pictures into the sand. In the morning and in the evening it's possible to be there alone with no tourists but even during a day there were always just a few families. It was one of the most exciting places I have ever visited. Love it and I hope I get back very soon.

Interesting historical landmark. It's free and you can climb up to the rafters and enjoy the view. Nice walking trails in the surrounding park as well.

Lovely quiet place to visit

Fun and interesting little church tower, half buried in sand. There are free parking and it only takes 5 minutes to walk to the church - and the church is seen in about 10 mins, so it’s a fun little short stop if you are in Skagen.

The car park is quite close to the church. About 5 minutes walking. The church itself isn't completely buried as most of it has been demolished. However, the tower that still stands is accessible and there are stairs that allow you to climb to the top. Good views from up there.

We parked in the near parking space and from there was a 5-10min walk to the buried church. There are stairs inside of the church that you can climb.

A 10 minute flat walk from the parking lot with a picnic area. The site is open 24/7 but the church itself is only open during regular hours.

We visited this place in July 2021. For a small fee, you can climb up into the old church tower from where there is a gorgeous view of the surrounding landscape. Was great fun for the family! However, if you are not totally steady on your feet, you might prefer to just enjoy the view from one of the benches outside the church. There are demarcations in the sand of the church's original perimeter. A fascinating visit, especially if you also get a chance to visit Råbjerg Mile, Rubjerg Knude and other sites that show how the sand is dominating and moving across the region.

Beautifull hidden gem in the middle of the coastal road to Skagen, Denmark. Takes a little walk to get there but very nice place to visit. The day we visited there was a classical consert with opera and ballett taking place so we didnt get to see the church up close or inside. But beautiful experience none the less.

A good old lighthouse primitive. Being a maritimer I find all maritime relevant contraptions interesting. It's interesting too see how maritime light signals were made and used in ancient times. Even though it's not much to wander about a quick stop won't hurt. Have a good one.

Nice place next to a supervised bathing beach with direct view to the roads of Skagen. Public toilette and garbage bins at beach entrance. Board walk for wheel chair access onto beach and even down to the water (at least in summer).
