Fantastic place! Watching it was one of the greatest experiences of my life. In a huge hall, hundreds of cars in beautiful condition. From the beginning of driving, you can find a lot of models here, looking at some of them, a frame from a movie comes to mind. We'll come back again, because it's a full-day program if someone wants to watch it more thoroughly.

Absolutely amazing visit! The displays are superb, and I can highly recommend spending a lot time here. Sadly I was under time pressure, so rushed through parts. But will be back. I didn't get her name, but the young blonde lady at the ticket desk was incredibly friendly and helpful. A great start to the visit

A car collection like none other. It's a step back in time - and yet has one of the greatest new cars ever made on display. The classic/supercar driving at the end is a brilliant addition, too!

Despite not being a car enthusiast in any way, I absolutely loved this museum. There are vehicles spanning from carriages to formula 1, as well as lots of Bugattis. I would have liked to read more info about the vehicles, they only have a sort description. And more information about the founders of the collection would have been useful. I read up about them after my visit but their story could have been presented better in the museum. You can easily spend hours going round here.

This is an impressive collection of cars. There are a few fun hands-on activities as well plus a roll over simulator. There is a collection of children's pedal cars as well, which my children enjoyed. I am not a car fan by any means, but I enjoyed the museum.

Jaw dropping. The sheer number and range of vehicles is amazing. Quite a privilege to see the early models, and with good descriptions. But also the other categories, through the decades, as well as top end models and racing cars.

I don't visit museums that often, but this one is worthy of all the admiration. Great exposition, excellent descriptions for each car and really collected a huge number of exhibits I will say right away - that allocate 2,5-3 hours to visit. I was pleasantly surprised by the presence of a restaurant on the territory and a cool event after the end (the event is held on the territory of the museum every Sunday).

Absolutely stunning collection of mainly Pre War Classics with an outstanding number of Bugatti Cars, but also some other classics can be seen.The space is arranged very well with no unnecessary stuff , we enjoyed the walk through the building. The only downside is the missing ability to get something to eat in the afternoon, a small bistro menu with fries, Cake, Crepe or Baguette would be a great addition.

Amazing French automobile history in live... worth of seeing definitely... I know route de vin is quite attractive to being in there however if you are in Alsace, just few hours smell this amazing historical show for cars..

I’m in awe 🫢 €18 well spent the most amazing Day if you love automobiles Motorcycles etc it’s has everything from the first car to super cars trikes rally cars on a grand scale. Restaurants bars toilets all spotless. My favourite are the early motorcycles trikes .

The Musée National de l'Automobile in Mulhouse is well worth a visit for every car enthusiast. So many beautiful examples of automobiles from the very beginning of car manufacturing until the late 1970ies. Maybe the biggest collection of Bugatti in the world. Amazing! We were lucky and there were not too many people there so it was perfect to take pictures. I would like to go again. Or go to an event where the old racecards are really driven. Extraordinary!

Very nice exhibition. They have hundreds of car maybe more but you can't sit or touch. For children there is a car race for their fun in the middle. For extra you can drive a each car for additional charge. Overall nice place to visit.

Huge museum but seems stuck in time pre 1980. Some important early cars in here especially Bugatti and others and interestingly includes a modern day Veyron. Vast majority of the collection is very old and either early cars or from 1930s, 40s and 50s when obviously the collection was being assembled. Some really interesting cars too from micro to pedal cars, clangers like the Aston Martin Lagonda, Ferrari 512 and some fun hands-on things for kids. Very cold inside the day we visited and could have been heated. Parking outside is 2euro an hour.

I’ve been to lots of automotive museums around Europe but this one has been my favourite up to now, if you like cars the history and development of you’ll have a good day here. I particularly liked the easy layout of the museum which means you won’t miss a thing

With one word - it is an extraordinary museum! If you are a car enthusiastic, or someone who is into mechanical designs and engines, you should definitely see this place. The open gallery is very well prepared for a great exhibition according to years with brief, but attention taking descriptions and stories. The collection is one of a kind with very unique and rare cars. And the idea of "Car lost in the Nature" is truly beautiful. We paid €18.00 for an adult ticket without waiting in the line on a Friday afternoon.

The collection is downright fantastic. It's incredible to see that many old cars, all the way to the 1890s, all in perfect operating condition. Fun activities as well (packing a boot to the brim, manually starting an old car...). Beware of the cold, however, if you visit in winter. The exhibition hall has no heating at all anymore (due to electricity prices). I visited on a freezing day and while it was above zero indoors it wasn't a lot higher! The bar also isn't particularly remarkable and has a tendency to close early (4:30 is too late already). All in all, pick a sunny day, go early enough, and you'll have a blast!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My visit to the Mulhouse Automobile Museum was an absolute delight! From the moment we stepped in, the friendly staff members Charlotte and Lauris made us feel welcome. The museum itself is a treasure trove, boasting hundreds of classic vehicles and racing cars. Each exhibit is a masterpiece, but the Bugattis stole the show, giving me goosebumps! Spending the morning with Olly, reminiscing about his childhood and cars, was a highlight. I highly recommend a visit, but don't forget to wear warm clothes, as it can get chilly in March. Be prepared to do a lot of walking, as the place is huge. Overall, a fantastic experience that I'll cherish forever!

a great museum with so many fancy cars and generational cars , very interesting to visit i think is a must visit place on mulhouse . it has historical cars to most advanced bugatis is like a cronological time travel alongside of automobilistic industry development. i would describe this museum as an amaising asset of Mulhouse-France

Not much of a car enthusiast, but this museum is spectacular. You don’t have to be knowledgeable or even all that interested in cars to thoroughly enjoy yourself here. The way that the history and progression of automobiles are displayed is quite captivating and we ended up spending 2-3 hours here.

Really nice experience for people who loves cars I forgot to make a mention for the guy at the bar counter inside the museum. I never saw a guy so crazy like him. You can talk to him and he still doing his job, don't answer to you, give you his shoulders and don't care what you ask to him. I asked for a plastic bottle of water, I showed him a translation in French and he stills no answers and doing his own!!! Very very very rude!! I think it will be good to change your staff

It was cool!! You get a lot for your money! Free train rides for kids, total history of France trains, all in French though, and not an interactive play museum for kids. Still cool though for kids that love trains!

A cathedral of railway history. Wandering through this sprawling structure, I felt overcome by a spirit of deep reverence: for those towering leviathans of steel that helped create the modern world and transform the populace's conceptions of time, but also for the workers and engineers and even the politicians who helped make such a world possible. Even dormant, the old trains seem to possess an overwhelming and imposing force, feeling almost primordial in their grandeur and clean elegance of design while also signalling the birth of a different age, one of sophistication and glamour. They are harbingers of transformation, of an age that once seemed exhilarating and terrifying in its sheer dynamism, but one that we now look back upon nostalgically. Lingering in the darkness of what was once the old SNCF trainshed, they still seem almost alive, especially surrounded by a series of quite informative mini documentaries about railway travel throughout the last century and a half.

A great place to spend a few hours - wandering through the history of trains in France - from steam locomotives to the TGV and everything in between! Lots of interesting movie clips throughout the visit and would be perfect for all ages. The restaurant serves good food too - with lots of Specials on the menu each day. Well worth a visit!

Amazing museum! Suitable for anyone, children or adult, fan of trains or just interested in pretty trains. The average visit time indicated on the web site is 2h30 but I would say it's at least 3 hours maybe even 4. If you get hungry, there's a restaurant inside - a bit expensive but decent for a museum.

Amazing museum with looots of things to see. The only bad part was the fact that if you don't understand french, you miss a lot of information.

This is a great place to understand the history of trains from the begining to till date and get the gist of evolution of trains in France. There are some simulations as well. Surely you could have Sheldon Cooper moments 😜

What an amazing museum! Such a large collection of trains, locomotives and carriages. There is also info available in English, but all of the interactive stuff is in French. My two year old was a little afraid of the first room (dark, noises and big trains), but he enjoyed it a lot in the end. He still talks about it a week later.

It's a lovely place to visit, there are a lot of trains to see with a good mix of epocs, there are also lots of little bits and pieces dotted around. It is too much biased towards French speaking, not much information for tourists, which is perhaps a little like a dropped ball as the exhibits are made in France, Germany, UK and America! A special mention should be made for the kitchen, the team are doing some really good food, not like a typical museum but like a restaurant, worth going just for lunch. The lady at reception was very welcoming, had a big smile and was knowledgeable, she spoke English, maybe German too.

Amazing museum with lots of trains to see from the dawn of steam up till tgv, etc all very well laid out. V friendly staff. Great way to spend 2-3 hours. Large car park.

Some interesting pieces but all signs and tables were in French only. It also seemed a little neglected.

Great day out for all science lovers and has a brilliant café too. It can also be purchased in conjunction with a ticket for the Electropolis museum which is well worth a visit. It is important to offer for a day as a thorough look round can take up to 6 or so hours!

Excellent museum, rich exhibitions and very didactic. Restaurant is excellent too and with a friendly service. Well worth visiting.

Wonderful museum for these engineering marvels. Lots of different locomotives and coaches to see with interesting info for those who appreciate the workings of trains. Only a pity that a considerable amount of the info was only provided in french. A guide was inside, answering questions and providing us with an enthousiastic explanation on steam locomotives! If you want to really take your time visiting this museum, reading some of the info, count on spending around 4-5 hours, time flies here. A must see if you like trains!

This place is a cathedral dedicated to the railway. A thorough exploration of the exhibition halls took me three hours. Special mention must go to the museum staff: the enthusiastic young man on the front desk gave me an overview, whilst the young lady in the restaurant was delightful and most helpful. Both spoke fluent English, which I appreciated - they were great ambassadors. I highly recommend this destination as an exceptional place to spend half a day!

Our kids simply love it! Cool installations with audio where they exhibit real life conversations in trains in historic hall, then there's also a part for showing the trains outside and finally a hall with modern trains. So all about French trains and beyond. A tip: if you plan to visit several museums in the area, a museum pass can pay off especially if you have 2 or more kids, because one pass can take up to 5 kids with it

Amazon place, with an exceptional collection of trains, both ancient and new. Wonderful whether one is interested in history (trains are tightly linked to French and European history, but also to relationships with the US), in trains technology (a lot of details provided), in seing beautiful omthings from the past and of today. Spending 2 hours or the full day is possible: in any case, a marvel! There is also a "model making" section. Plenty of things to do with kids, in particular a comprehensive tour in a small train inside the whole exhibition.

Not like any other. I can't say enough how amazing it was to have the time to visit the polar bears and just stare at them for minutes. The arctic animals in general are interesting and it's the first time I've seen such. The zoo was not packed nor crowded and apart from one class of schoolchildren who were extremely quiet, there was not mess around. I visited numerous zoos and this one was the only one I left with the will to come back again and see it.

great zoo also a good location and various animals (some of them sleeping in and some of them not exposed due to constructions within the zoo) very suitable for familly visits and especially for children the day i visited there wasent much bussy the waitline 1 min propabbly

Súper!!! It has many animals. A wide variety of monkeys (Marmosets monkey are my favourites). The first zoo where I see the red panda, and the blue birds from the movie Rio. 😅Although the weather was a bit cloudy, the site is worth a visit. On Saturday 9 they have prepared a plant market to welcome spring.

Not suitable for those who speak English. Absolutely no consideration for visitors! We were provided with a map in French, the employee at the ticket booth speaks only French as do 99% of French people we came into contact from pastries to different shops and restaurants. A significant number of animals were not within their enclosures, either resting or relocated due to the cold i guess. A section of the park is inaccessible due to ongoing construction. We thought we would see the red panda, but it was nowhere to be found. All in all nothing special to see. 50 euros for a 2 adults and 2 small children, a waste of time and money. p.s. The toilets need renovation.

The zoo is not very big but beautiful decorated as a botanic garden. It is also well managed so that the cages are clean and the environment is well arranged for the animals. We saw polar bear closely and it is so much fun!

Very good spectacle with a fair price. There is a variety of animals to see and if you visit at the right time can also enjoy the colours of the spring . I do not recommend eating at the indoor self service café .

Half of the animals weren't in their enclosures (either sleeping or moved away from the summer heat). A portion of the park is closed for construction. The botanical gardens on the other hand offer a very pleasant walk across the entire area of the park. Tip: Buy your tickets in advance to avoid waiting in line (10 minutes wait time).

It was one of the most beautiful experiences I've ever had in my life! The animals are well cared for and the environment is beautiful and spacious!

Nice little Zoo with extensive gardens. A bit dilapidated but renovations are under way. The kids zoo was not worth visiting. The Okapis were special. It is not expensive and generally worth a visit. Parents should notethat most parts are quite hilly.

I have been here in the fall, spring, and now summer, and it has been an amazing experience each time. The enclosures are somewhat generous in size, there's so many different species, the park and gardens are just so beautiful and well-maintained, and the staff is so, so friendly. We just love coming here!

Great variety of animals: they have even white bears and a greenish bear! Nice mixture of zoo, botanical gardens, exhibition of local medieval houses and a great restaurant in the castle on zoo's grounds.

Really interesting museum - I should have paid more attention in school! Lots of facts and history to take in and the exhibits are all labelled in French, German and English making it easy to understand. Fun things for the kids to do too and and outside exhibition area.

The place provides a page of history on electricity and its evolution. I discovered there electric machines used by my grandparents, which was really nice.

Nice museum about the history of electricity. The beginning is somewhat dry and maybe not very appealing to children. The show about static electricity was great. „The machine“ was cool, but the videos chaotic. Also liked the little experiments afterwards. Some could use some fixing. Game in the garden was funny, but only doable because there weren’t many kids, would have been hard to do them otherwise.

Very nice museum about the history of electricity. If you are an engineer you will enjoy it for sure. They have a very interesting exhibition about static electricity with Tesla coils and Faraday cages.

One of the best museums I have ever seen! All the history of the electricity is told, from the invention till the domestic equipment of the second half of XX century. Interesting demonstrations. Plenty of different things of different levels: the museum will be interesting for everyone, from little kids to electrical engineers like me =)

Brilliant museum for all the engineers and non-engineers out there. Definitely worth the time.

This was a surprisingly lovely museum and experience. It's two floors, with an exhibit that stays constant, and one that changes. It's tasteful and well done. It's never crowded (!) This museum is for: fashion and textile people, art students and artists, people who like history and the rise and fall of the industrial revolution, anyone with an aunty or mother in law who likes things like this :) Every thing is in French and it's small:)

We enjoyed the fabrics of display, the historical pieces the merchants brought from Asia and the Orient during the peak of textiles in Mulhouse, and the historical display of printed fabrics until the present. The latter was a probably the highlight for me. I wanted to see more fabrics, especially more dresses! Some were beautiful. The building was purpose built as a museum. The entrance ticket was a small piece of printed fabric, that was a nice surprise. I liked the printing room a little less, but understand its value historically. I enjoyed also the small shop, just wish I had more to spend there.

Loved the museum, lots to look at. The printing block were amazing, sadly there was no printing demo on the day I went, would have loved to see that. Particularly liked the special feature; a graphic show of pattern projected and accompanied by specially composed music. Rather disappointing gift shop.

A rather large and imposing building for such a niche subject! The collections are interesting, but I was hoping for more technical content, perhaps even a working printing machine. We were a bit underwhelmed by the gift shop, hoping to find a larger selection, and more to our taste.

Interesting museum showing the history of cloth printing. Knowledgeable staff Open from 1pm. Seek out the Sinclair restaurant round the corner. Excellent.
