This is a must see location if you are within 100 miles. Strasbourg the old city is just incredible for old buildings and interesting sites. The Cathedral is very impressive from the outside and the inside is just Great. The altar and the backdrop are very well done. The stained glass is amazing as well. I walked to the top of the Cathedral and highly recommend doing this if you can. Great views and interesting views of the Cathedral as you climb.

Very impressive building! Inside pretty dark and some part is still in renovation. The clock on the right side worth to see. I enjoyed visiting it. The most spectacular was illumination show, special lights and music at night. Wow!

Exceptional views, beautiful architecture, in my eyes it is a must to visit during your stay in Strasbourg. Ticket is absolutely worth it, considering the effort to climb the way up. Inside the cathedral entry is free. The size, area, mosaics made me deeply think how much time and effort it took to create and build this miracle. Miraculous❤️..

Absolutely beautiful! There is an amazing clock in the back right corner that does a little something every 15 minutes. It’s not amazing but it’s cute and fun to see if you’re around. The gift shop was great and some good finds for good prices. The nativity scene inside was absolutely gorgeous!

This was a beautiful cathedral in a beautiful city. Had such a great time. There is a little train right outside that you can take for 8 euro that will give you a tour of the petite France area.

Came over from offenburg Germany. It was a short drive. It was on a French holiday so I think it was extra busy. The cathedral was very pretty. You could walk around on your own. There was no English translations quite. If you get an app on your phone you can just shine it on the signs and it'll read it in English for you. It was a recording picking on every now and then to ask us to shush. Although I don't think we were being loud, the crowd was in the church at that time.

I have seen many Gothic cathedrals. But I was amazed by the beauty and grandeur of Strasbourg Cathedral. Its size is impressive, its stained glass windows lead to ecstasy. This is a masterpiece of medieval Gothic architecture.

I was surprised to discover that this is also a beautiful cathedral. It is not that far from the one in Paris. The line to get in (on the left of the front side) is for free but can get very long. The line for going up to the tower (on the right side) has a cost. Definitely recommended!

Very impressive cathedral. It is breathtaking to look up and realize how small we are. It is a very historical cathedral and 142 m high. It is for free to go up the stairs. The view has to be amazing. Unfortunately the queue on weekends especially sundays is too long. But the city has a very nice atmosphere. I liked and enjoyed it a lot.

The cathedral is breathtaking from every angle, with stained glass, spires, and intricate designs living every inch of the building. You won’t find yourself bored when visiting here. I waited for maybe a minute to get inside and did not have to pay. Niece inside you are free to walk around within the designated areas. If you are feeling in the mood, you can buy and light a candle in the cathedral. There is also two gift shops!

A wonderful cathedral, truly a work of art in every way. Entrance is free into the church, but a ticket of 8.5 euro to take the stairs up - which you must do, the views are spectacular {approx 300 steps up and 300 down, on a spiral staircase}. The clock at the back is a marvel to behold, from the 16th century. The church area is peaceful, take some time to sit and reflect no matter your religion.

You can climb up to the top for amazing views of the city and the ticket costs €8. It's a must-visit if you're in Strasbourg.

Ideal Christmas location. Big crowds, hard to park in the city centre, many streets are closed by police. Definitely worth visiting and enjoying the view.

Today is a sunny day and it’s a nice opportunity to take photos of The Cathedral Notre Dame de Strasbourg. No fee to enter the Cathedral, only security check on bags. It’s a Saturday and there were many people around the square. Part of the Cathedral is under renovation, yet we still managed to see the major parts of the building. A historical building with impressive architecture. A local friend gave us some tips. The best time To go up to the top of the cathedral is around lunch time. Sensible and perfect idea 👍🏻

Wasn’t a huge fan of Strasbourg overall, but the cathedral is absolutely worthy of the trip; it is imposingly beautiful inside and out. You can see the cathedral from just about anywhere in the city and it’s still difficult to fathom the size of it once you’re upon it. It was stunning.

Beautiful Historic Monument. Probably one of the most beautiful religious cathedral from France. Specific times to get in The astronomical clock is impressive and has so many resources and surprises. The man speaking once in a while on the microphone to ask people to turn the volume down is the one making most of the noise. Go visit this landmark.

The most conspicuous building in Strasbourg. It’s full of beauty and historical charm. There are lots things to see - external decorations, climbing to the top to have a great view of the city, internal decorations and carpets. Finally there is the Astronomical clock inside. The history of the cathedral reflects the history of the city which is breathtaking. In front of the church you can find lots of Noel markets in the holiday season in winter.

This church is stunning, the amount of detail work that’s gone into the statues which holds the record for the most figures in a church in the world is just magnificent. The glass work is eclectic and like non I’ve ever seen before, I can only imagine how it glimmers when the sun it’s the glass just right. This location is definitely the main attraction in the city and it’s definitely worth the visit.

Fantastic historical site. I am notbsure how it compares to the one in Paris since no one can get in there now, but there is a lot less people and the building is very well kept. All the details in the construction are simply amazing. No ticket needed.

This cathedral is absolutely beautiful, the staff were all very kind. I would definetly recommend visiting the cathedral if you are in Reims or surrounding areas. The cathedral is in stunning condition for being over 400 years old. Overall an amazing experience.

In love with our history, one day I had to visit the city of coronations and of course the cathedral. What a beautiful building filled with so much history, events. A magnificent construction. Huge and whose maintenance and restoration make it a beautiful monument dedicated to the Catholic religion and the coronations of our kings. A statue dedicated to Saint Joan of Arc is necessarily visible there. It's crowded but it's reasonable and then unlike some buildings of the same type, I found a great calm and a beautiful serenity all the same. To see without hesitation. For the duration of the visit everything depends on you, are you ready to read all the informative brochures? Are you a strong believer? So if you belong to one of two categories you will be the sole judge of your time. Otherwise in one hour you will have been able to observe the building.

A nice church to visit while on the way to champagne country. Our tour from Paris made a brief stop here, and it made for a bit of awe and introspection. The building itself is adorned with hundreds of statues and statues holding statues. Inside, stained glass windows give everything an intentional tinge of pink and purple hues. Near the back, there are relics of saints and several extravagant chapels.

Amazing, if you are anywhere near Reims this is a site you shouldn't miss. It's easy to access, in a wonderfully peaceful area, and is as or more stunning than many cathedrals in the country. I could have spent days hearing about the historical coronations and critical events in the history of France that occurred at this site.

A true work of art, its size and architectural details simply take your breath away. One of the most beautiful and well-maintained cathedrals in France. Both the interior with the glass painting and the exterior with the architectural details are worth it, you will give them a good part of the time to be admired. Of course I've not seen every cathedral in the world but for me one of the most beautiful churches I've ever seen. Very impressive! No fee to enter, but you can think about giving what it's worth for you or pay for a candle in memory of a loved one.

Cathedral is a an absolute jewel of gothic architecture! If in Reims it’s definitely a must visit. Great for architectural enthusiasts as well as religious pilgrims. Mass services are frequent and easy to find out. It breathes history from medieval times, through coronations to modern post war truce meeting with German chancellor Adenauer. My personal favorite is the smiling Angel on the outer facade. As with every monument, expect renovations and parts of the interior/ exterior to be covered due to works. A highlight compared to Paris is that it’s not too busy and you marvel at peace with no too many people pushing you.

This Cathedral has so much character and detail even from the outside, very impressive. The scale of it is quite large for a Cathedral in a smaller town. Definitely worth the stop if you are driving by the area.

Decided to head away from Paris for a day and drive out to REIMS. So glad we did as this place is an absolute gem. The cathedral from the outside is beyond words, absolutely stunning. We were lucky enough to visit when there was a service taking place and the sound of the choir within the high roof of the cathedral was joyous. Out of all the buildings we visited whilst in France this is the one.

Extremely nice building especially when you see its illuminated exterior in the evening, full of statues, big arches, colored windows, the French king was crowned here during the tumultuous years of Joan of Orleans, I think it is always good to go there, sit for a while and think... do not forget to see the Statue de Jeanne d'Arc in front door...

Amazing cathedral built in the Gothic style. Great history behind this cathedral. When visiting this Cathedral take a few minutes to sit on the benches across from the Cathedral to take in the magnificent architecture and the majestic views. Entrance is free. I spent around 45 minutes inside - walking around admiring the architecture and also taking time to sit quietly and pray. This is a must visit if you are in Paris. There are frequent trains.

A "Real Eyeopener"! This compact "old town" area of Southeast Colmar is a place "not to be missed" by visitors! It gets its name due to the "historic houses" built on both sides of the small, meandering, Lauch River.... and the "fairy tale vibe". The area is wonderful to walk around-- and has cobbled streets, colourful "half-timbered" houses, and a "covered market". It can also be seen by boat. It has been awarded by TripAdvisor the esteemed "Certificate of Excellence". It is indeed well worth a visit. It is no wonder that it has been rated as one of the "top of places" to visit/things to do, while in Colmar. It will definitely add to one's memories of the visit. Lovely time walking around Home Little Venice there's so much more than the picturesque bridge's to see with a few lovely restaurants along the canal, and little boat trip back and forth . It's only a short walk from here to the indoor market . My recommendations would be early evening when all the lights come on for beautiful pictures .

Place Stanislas is impressive, royal, clean and friendly. It has an Austrian atmosphere with big light-colored houses in style surrounding it. Absolutely worthwhile to visit and discover other historic sceneries around Nancy

An unexpected gem. Stanislas Square is beautiful, and even better at dusk or in the dark. Lots of restaurants and bars to sit down and savour the atmosphere.

Its the most beautiful square both during day and night. It looks like some royal square. During St Nikolas Day, there are light shows and beautiful decorations. This is the best time to visit to witness these beautiful decorations here.

Beautiful square. It is very clean and well taken care of. It looks like it was build just yesterday, but it is there since more then 100 years. It has beautiful lighting at night. This summer there where beautiful lightshows on the buildings.

Check out the summer night time light show! Place Stanislas continues to be a beautiful sight to see and have a coffee, lunch, or dinner in the square. But now after dark enjoy a laser light show across the buildings. Grab an ice cream before or after the show.

This is definitely a must go if you are in Nancy. It is just beautiful with the old town buildings and since it's the centre of the old town, there is a 15 minute long light show every night at 10PM.

Stanislas has a significant importance in Nancy. It was classified as the favourite monument for France in 2021 and I will tell you why from my perspective: it is historical , big that it can host a parade in december, light show in Summer and winter, 'jardin éphèmere in October' and so much more events. There are restaurants/coffes/ museums/opera around this place. You can enjoy ice cream and delicious food or just sit in the chairs for people who came to admire the place/sun or lights. In special occasions, the lights of the buildings around Stanislas change like 'pink october, ..etc'. You can also visit 'hotel de ville' and enjoy the view from above.

Famous square surrounded by beautiful buildings and four golden gates. Don't forget to have some pastis on one of the terraces and to walk through the park that can be through the gate next to restaurant Michelangelo.

Beautiful example of a large European town square. It's so grand and decorative. There are a lot of cafes and restaurants in the square which created a great atmosphere. We sat in the middle of the square in the mid afternoon and enjoyed the sun and the buzz of all of the people running around, eating and talking. I especially loved the grand, curved, fences at each of the corners. Painted opulently in black and gold.

If you're in Nancy, you have to come here. It is the centre of the old town, surrounded by centuries of history, great, very well-maintained buildings and part of the historic route. The gleaming golden portals leading in all directions give it a special flair.

Loved the vibe! The great square, the gorgeous gate, cafes and people watching. Every street leading to the square has plenty of restaurant choices and interesting shops. It's a nice area to walk as well as through the park.

Place Stanislas is the major landmark of Nancy and one of the most beautiful squares in France, if not even all of Europe. There is no charge to enter the square and it is lovely to stroll. Many cafés and tourist shops can be found here. A visit should take at least 20 to 30minutes and you can easily spend more time exploring the area around. It is a major tourist attraction in Eastern France and UNESCO world heritage site.

A majestic Place in the charming Nancy. You can revive the ostentatious that marked the French monarchy and have a glimpse of their peak. Get the tour train from there for having a nice and informative trip to the most famous spots in town.

Vieille Ville in Colmar is like stepping into a fairy tale. This old town is full of colorful half-timbered houses that look straight out of a storybook. As you stroll the narrow cobblestone streets, you'll find cafes, bakeries, and shops with local crafts. Don't miss visiting the impressive St. Martin's Church with its stunning architecture. It's a must-visit for anyone who loves the charm and history of old European towns

Colmar is definitely our favourite town in Alsace after 5 days of visit. A must do together with Kaysersberg, Riquewihr, Eguisheim, Ribeauvillé and indeed the splendid castle of Haut-Koeningsbourg. The whole of Colmar is a magical place! The whole city is a Christmas market and even with the cold it is difficult to keep the hands in the pocket as you would want to take pictures of everything! This city is full of beautiful houses for their shapes, colours, decorations, and everyone is incredibly friendly in Alsace ! The city has many nice shops and amazing restaurants to enjoy including a 2 Michelin star restaurant. We've got to visit the city if you come to Alsace.

In my opinion the best spot of Alsace region in France. We compare the river view as Venise. The colorful houses with old design and typical architecture will definetely touch your feeling. They are offering a large choice of beer and traditional food as the very iconic choucroute dish but as well Baeckeoffe, Spätzles, Bretzel and the very tasty Flammekueche (onions,bacon ham, cream and gruyere cheese).

Colmar is a really popular and busy spot. But one can see why that is. It is an unbelievably pretty town, with a very walkable and accessable town center. The old town is pretty compact and could be visited in one day. But make sure to give it a few days if possible. There are endless sights, architectual masterpieces on every corner with the typical buildings, lots of wonderful shops and endless dining options. There's the impressive Collégiale St-Martin, the Église des Dominicains, the Église Saint-Matthieu, the Grand Rue, the Place du Marché Aux Fleurs, the Fontaine Schwendi, the Parc du Champ de Mars, Maison des Têtes, the Place du 2 Février, the Parc Montagne verte, the wonderful Marché couvert and of course Petite Venise. And that's just to name a few sights. It's nice to just wander around and to get lost in the various lanes and streets of colmar. Nice butcher shops with local goodies, lots of delicous bakeries and of course the restaurants. Sauerkraut and Flammkuchen are local specialties of course. But there's a lot more than that. We very much enjoyed "Les Racines" (a bit hidden away) and "Le Fer Rouge" (right in the middle of the action). Good food, nice staff, high quality, fair prices. We found out that most restaurants are dog-friendly. Inside and out, as in most of France. Even though quite a busy town packed with visitors it's one of the most beautiful spots in France (city-wise). Definitely worth a visit for a couple of days. We'll be back again in a few weeks.

Colmar a charming old village where you can feel history, wineries, old houses and nice architecture. I recommend you to visit the Alsace, la Route de Vins including Colmar.
