This place is an awesome escape from the city landscape. I would recommend going early morning and bring your own breakfast meal. It is advisable that you be physically ready for the steps going up and down the waterfalls since I think there are about 300 plus steps and a total of 600 plus steps going down and back up from the site. Take your time climbing up since some steps are really steep. Senior citizens should be extra careful when trekking up and down the path. Also, there are available restrooms near the waterfalls that are clean. Lastly, the staff there are nice and will assist you with anything and are really friendly. I would personally love to visit another time.

An easy drive from Iligan City as the roads are all cemented. The trek which is around 300+ steps from the parking is a challenge to those with weak knees and you have to go down to see the falls and climb up again when you leave. We paid only P120 for two people for entrance and another P250 for a table at the falls. The falls itself is so beautiful with the sound of the rushing water which is so therapeutic. They renovated the toilets to western standards which is a nice surprise but there weren’t many available so I wonder when it’s peak season the number of people using it would be busy. We sat there and had a nice picnic and were the only ones on a weekday afternoon.

Water was cold and the view from the bottom of the falls is very majestic. There's a cliff where you can jump off (it's only a few meters high). You have to be very careful with the climb though as it's tricky and you have to literally climb it through rocks and vines.

The scenery and the taste of the wind is quite refreshing. You can feel the essence of a true falls. 💯 Satisfying adventure. P.S. 355-step stairway (stairway to heaven 😭) will make your knees tremble for 15 mins 😂

It's worth the hike. Tinago falls is so Beautiful and relaxing. You can really hear the sound of nature. Even though its so tiring when you're going back up. But it's all worth it just to see this beautiful falls

My favorite spot on Mindanao 359 steps to the bottom. Thank God some guides carry stuff down for you. Bring along Sandals or rock shoes, swim clothing and drinks with a picnic. It's worth it if you can spend the day there. At the bottom, guides can pull you out on a raft into the falls, you can jump off cliffs, or just spend the day swimming. Then... there is there hike back up those 359 steps. Worth it for one of the most amazing falls I have seen.

Recommended for someone who is physically fit and loves nature. The entrance fee would cost you 25, the life vest 25 and water rafting for 10. The cottage that we had paid during our visit was 350. I can't give details to other cottages since I wasn't able to ask. I would really recommend you to try their water rafting. You will be experiencing under the pressure of water coming from the waterfalls itself. You have a life vest so your safety is guaranteed. You must bring your own food since the place does not offer any food. The pool where you can enjoy swimming is quite rough. There are a lot of stones. You better wear your footwear. Just be careful with the current water. Overall you will enjoy down there but not the trail going up and down. You must be physically fit and not afraid of heights. Great choice for those who love hiking and trekking.

Must see in Iligan!!! Truly a gem well hidden. On Mondays (and I think fridays) they open @ 10am because the staff needs to attend the flag ceremony.

380 plus stairs in a steep incline is a good cardio. the only thing i don't like about the place is that there are too many fees. the water is clean and clear.

One of the most beautiful scenery i found here in mindanao. this place is extremely safe. trees are all down the sidewalk‚ and gently sway in the wind looking like they belong on a beach‚ and they give this place a relaxing‚ calm‚ look. It’s obvious to me that people enjoy this place just by the scenery. It is well taken care of‚ and very clean. Everybody looks to be having fun and a good time. Next time i will bring my friends here to see this beautiful scenery.

I've been to many Philippine falls and this is one of the best! The local government has organized the place and the guide system. The guide that was appointed to us is so hardworking, patient and very polite. At the falls itself, it's mesmerizing and breezy. There is a raft that can take you inside the falls - very cold but very fun and exciting. Make sure you are prepared for the stairs.. that you are healthy for it. Don't miss visiting this falls when you are around the area!

The falls is beautiful, but it takes time to reach it. And I don't really recommend Asthmatic people to go there. It may be risky for them. Also, the CR's are very dirty and the water smells bad.

This is a bridge and you need to get in to NPC nature's park to see the view. Its a long way down to the park. The park is closed to tourist since marawi siege.

Maria Cristina Falls is known as one of the Majestic Waterfalls in Iligan city because of the presence of more than 20 waterfalls. It is sometimes called the "twin falls" as the flow is separated by a rock at the brink of the waterfall. It is located 9.3 kilometers away southwest of the city proper at the boundaries of Barangays Maria Cristina, Ditucalan, and Buru-un. Known for its natural grandeur, the 320 - feet (98 meters) high waterfall is also the primary source of electric power for the city's industries.

This place is sooooooo amazing. Maria Cristina falls is part of Nature's park but sadly only this area is open for public viewing. No entrance fee, only donation. No shuttle from the entrance. Habal2 fare back and forth: Php60

One of Iligan City's main landmark and tourist destination. It has been the city's main source of electricity since 1950s through its hydroelectric plant. The beautiful and scenic falls has an equally wondrous tale of its own. It's not called the majestic waterfalls for nothing 😉 We always bring our visitors here but today's the first time we've visited its turbine facility. I hope i can upload and share the videos too

Visiting Iligan and its environs will not be complete without seeing first-hand the magnificence of Maria Cristina Falls - a great source inspiration and of electric power for the majority of households in the country. Before, one freely enter the falls area but now due to the threats of its security, the management greatly monitors and restrict access to the false.

Beautiful waterfall and power station. Our understanding was that the falls and ajoining eco-park were closed to the public but our driver spoke with the guards at the gate and we were allowed access to the falls. There's nice facilities, a covered observation deck as wall as some shops that are currently closed. I hope to visit again when the area is reopened.

nice place to cool in the pool, its a running water from top going down the lower pool. only it has limited parking space, cannot accomodate a number of guest with car, you'll be using road side parking-not safe, to your own risk.

It was grate! For 2 years i haven't seen my squad, we finally colored one of our plan to having a swimming in dela mar. It was so unforgettable moment we shared on that place, and i hope more swimming to come ❤️

Timoga Spring Pool is an awesome place to have a blast to escape the heat of the summer. They offer different levels of pool in which all ages can enjoy. Updated Entrance Fee is 100Php and they have table fee ranges from 200php to 1000php depends on how many person will acquire. To aspirant divers there, they also have their diving flat form which leads you to its 8.5 feet deep pool. They have their in-house store where you can buy all toiletries in case you forgot to bring one, swim wears, goggles, floaters for kids are also available in their store.

A nice family getaway place in the summer. The spring water that is collected in the pool is refreshing. Beware of the food stalls opposite the entrance - they are unreasonably too expensive. The lechon however tastes good according the the locals.

The mall is not air-conditioned and elevator is not working. Queues are long especially in the grocery. Used to be the biggest mall in the city and a place for meet ups. Only I like are the home items mostly cheap if you are meticulous with the quality you can find almost comparable with branded ones.

I recently visited Gaisano Iligan and I had a great experience overall. The mall was old but it still had a lot to offer. The supermarket was stocked with a wide variety of items, and there were plenty of restaurants and bazaar stalls for a quick bite or some shopping. The staff were friendly and attentive, and I found the cashiers and baggers to be very efficient. The escalators and elevators were in working order, making it easy to get around. Overall, I had a positive experience at Gaisano Iligan, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a great shopping experience.

Not bad, it's an old mall it has a supermarket with bunch of restaurants and random stores and bazaar stalls you can get a bunch of the basic needs here which is handy. There's a Mini So style store here that has a bunch of cool things that you may not see in other parts of the mall

There are food chains conveniently located at the ground floor and at the upper floor. You have a choice of going in with the escalator or taking an elevator. The usual grocery, hardware, clothes, movie theater, drugstores, electronic gadgets, almost all the basic needs are here. The management need to work on its services, there are safety issues on comfort rooms, escalators, and stairs. There aren’t chairs to sat into so people used the stairs instead. Only a handful of sales ladies are entertaining customers, some are doing something else. They do need to check on arrangement of goods and spaces as it will please more customers to buy their goods. It is a good idea to have a routine training on cashiers and support personnel to make them an effective team. Gaisano Super Mall is a fair enough convenient store for everyone.

Too late to read some reviews here that there’s a free entrance at the left side if you’re just here for pictorials. We paid for 100php (for 2 adults) because we entered the gated entrance of Iligan Paradise Resort. They have man made pools on the right side for kids and adults, but it’s not really developed if compared to Timoga Coldspring pools. Still a nice place to unwind and be “one with nature.” There are toilet/shower rooms available but I haven’t checked the conditions inside.

Nature at its best. Raw and fresh. I would love to see some development here. The tables are uncleaned. It's looking like ab abandoned place but even then, I sooo love the place. It is a getaway that is not so far away.

One of the famous and no need to walk attraction in Iligan. Most part of it is private resort where you need to pay for the entrance and cottage if you want to. Though if you prefer for a free one, just follow the pathway at the side leading to the waterfalls. What I don’t like here is the garbages around along the trail and in the water itself! So irresponsible of the visitors and the resort management itself.

this place is okay. there are tables in the water. there are shades that makes a unique picnic experience and there are no fees unless you decide to swim in the man made pool.

Took my visitors here. They're all the way from Naga. It's a perfect place to begin with when you plan to visit different kinds of falls in the city. This place is very accessible and so maybe you could visit it first before the other falls.

beautiful settings with entry fee...as we were very early our group was the only one there on a weekday until the afternoon. Big waterfall and fresh cold, spring water pools..sitting areas for hire and CR/shower facilities available (not very clean though). Have access to next door resort as well with more spring pools.

Love the sound of waters falling and echoing throughout the place! Although it was very slippery when we climbed, it was a pretty fun experience. Love the natural massage that you get when sitting on the spot where the water drops. The water's very clean as well.

Are you itching to beat the heat before summer is over? I did mine by waterfall-gazing at Mimbalot Falls in Buru-un, Iligan City. The endless water rushing from the top paving its way to the rocks downstream is calming and breathtaking at the same time. It’s nice to get wet, get a closer look and probably take photos but make sure to take extra care as the path is slippery. Of course I took photos myself and you can see them right below. Still, nothing is more satisfying than witnessing this majestic beauty by yourself. What are you waiting for?
