Visiting the firefly park again recently after 20 years. The jetty and facility is way much better now. Finding the entrance is a bit difficult, as we almost missed it at might. If you are coming from Kuala Selangor direction, do follow the GPS navigation, and the entrance is just next to the mosque. To watch the firefly, visitors need to wear the life jacket and get on the small sampan (boat). The guide will paddle along the river to the nearby fire fire tree to watch the blink-blink (Firefly). Please do not make noise or use the flash as it might disturb them finding girlfriends. Anyway, under the very dark environment, most phone's camera can't get a good picture, but you can try with video using some manual settings. The price per boat for 4 people is RM70 (Malaysian). For those who are afraid of mosquitoes, do remember to wear long sleeves and pants.

Nice guys! Come when there's 'no moon'. well kept, playground was superb. Came on Friday night, not many people at all.. we enjoyed our time here. Just buy tickets on site. 1 boat, 4 person max.

Come as early as they open! The fireflies are most active at dusk. They charge per boat so it's best to come in a group of four. Not recommend to take photos of the fireflies as the camera's flash will scare them. The boatman is really skillful and knows a lot about the fireflies as they're locals being a part time boatman as an exercise 😆 The ride lasts around 15-20 minutes. The ambience are amazing and serene. Very healing. This is my second time here 😁

Very friendly staff along the journey and very pleasant experience to view firefly. Not easy to take photo with firefly but manage to capture few. Rated 4 star because lack of ventilation in the jetty, very warm while waiting boat. Last night was full of mosquitos during the boat ride due to rainy days

Good place for children for visit. RM60 1 boat (4 ppl) about 20 min ride. Be patient & expect the long queue, 7.50pm enter entrance & still have to for an hour for the ride

Fees per boat is RM60 ringgit and can occupy 4 adults or 2 adults 2 kids. Great experience to watch firefly while cruising along the river. Peaceful and quiet.

Staff there was super friendly.. Fireflies sighting was magical.. Toilet facilities were clean and well maintained.. Just a reminder.. Pls bring a mosquito repellent spray or cream along.. All in all.. Was beautiful and magical..

No information in the internet about the price and timing, Then, finally i found this at the entrance. 60RM for local, 100RM for forigner for one boat. The last trip is 22:30. All boat is with a rower. lots of fireflies. 20 min trip. it is just nice. 20 min is just good (it is like jungle cruse in the disney land). We are a group of 5 including 3 kids and the youngest one is 6 years old. They let us in together in one boat.

A quote from the guide that I can't forget: "Fireflies are very sensitive to the nature's delicate balance. If the temperature changes, they die. If the water is polluted, they die. If the tree (nest) is disturbed, they die. Suffice to say, if you don't see fireflies anymore, than the earth is dying"

Good authentic experience with low boats that allow you to get up close to the fireflies and trees. Payment system is automated so nice and quick now and queue was moving fast when I went.

Absolutely magical experience. It was the sort of thing a person dreams about. The boat towers were so quiet so didn’t disturb the firefly’s at all. I really recommend this place to anyone travelling in the area. But make sure you wear bug spray !! And a lot of it.

It's a bit overrated. You need not be disappointed if you miss it. However, if you have a lot of time available and curious to find out what the hype online is all about (like us :)) You won't be upset that you visited, but can't rule out coming back disappointed. Few tips: 1. Get yourself mosquito repellent liquids prior to visiting (it is also sold there for RM 20 to 30) not so good, but does the job. 2. Dress easy - this is not a boat or a ferry ride.. it's a catamaran ride. Be prepared for a bit of stretching and crouching. 3. Carry a DSLR instead of relying on your phone. It basically boating in the night. You need something that can handle extreme low light photography. 4. The life vests are available in plenty but smelly (carry a body spray or perfume) otherwise you're only thinking of the odour/sweat smells and not enjoying the experience - You will for sure thank me for this one when you're wearing the vest. (You can hit that like in advance ;)) 5. Most important - Cards not accepted, just ensure you have RM 50 available per boat of 4 adults 6. Get there early, queue up outside the ticket counter. If not you'll end up in a long queue later. 7. If you're in a group, split your team - Few can queue at the ticketing counter and the rest can queue up at the boarding area. So you don't end up queueing twice. The drive from KL is enjoyable, a mix of highways and fields/crops. Enjoy your trip!!!

Parking is quite challenging but after about 2-3 round then I manage to find a parking slot, then you have to que depend on weekends or weekdays, after a long wait we manage to get on the boat. Life jacket will be provided by the facility. We managed to get all 5 pax into 1 boat. The boatman will bring you to the location and after around 20 minutes on the boat. While waiting for your turn, there are a playground that kids can enjoy their happiness there.

2/13/2024 I and my families come in with a local tour guide, the monkeys so cool and cute, we all live here and enjoying the moment, we are very happy to joined and will remember the memories forever. Very good experience at the place, Malaysia Malawski Hill is really friendly and peaceful place, nature and people are all live in harmony. Father mother and my husband and me, we all happy the whole day. The black monkey really friendly and gentle, but the yellow monkey is not. Tour Guide give us some advice so that we can make everything easy. We feed some peanuts to them, shake hand to them and took beautiful pictures.😇

My go to spot to visit whenever I'm in Selangor. It's very relaxing to see the nature and enjoy time with the silver leaf monkeys. They are honestly the most gentle, wise and amazing species I've ever met! You can give them food, and they don't snatch the food given. On top of that, it's a historical site, and there are cool historical remnants to be seen such as the fort and cannon. I just love to go there. Aren't they photogenic?

There are a lot of monkeys around, and they can get hungry for food! Please remember to keep your food safe and secure, or the monkeys may try to grab it. Aside from that, it's a great place to hang out with family and enjoy the view of Kuala Selangor.

Nice view at the top of the hill. Can feed wild monkeys and walk around the area. Cannons on top of the hill as as symbolic for the strong military defence. A place where a historian, civilian, environmentalist or mere visitor will be intrigued to what this place can offer

Affordable place to bring kids.Better come early for parking.Got 2 museums, a lighthouse & royal mausoleum on the hill.The tram won’t move if it rains so better bring umbrellas and wear suitable shoes to hike. If you are hiking then take the opportunity to hike around the hill to see all the sceneries the hill can offer.

This place is an old fort. If your are up the hill in the 'right' weather, you will have a very pleasant refreshing climate with very beautiful view. If you love history, spend some time up there and stroll around the area. Mind you it is a large area. Start with the museum so when you walk around you'll know what you see an the significance of it. Grounds are well kept, monkeys are well behaved. You're allowed to feed them, but please, please don't feed them junk food! Spent RM2 to buy proper food from the stall owners there. Take care of our wildlife and support our local business. Fee is RM5 (for adult AND Malaysian) different fees for noncitizens. With that fee, you'll enjoy a tram ride up and down the hill and all the facilities up hill. Just a tip, if you're not a marathon runner, not an endurance swimmer, my advice is try not to walk up the hill.

A nice place to just relax and enjoy the company of Lutung Monkey friends. There are other things to see here as well, like animals and a small museum. For the current price of RM5 per person, it is very worth it, in my opinion. You can also take some nice pictures and enjoy the view from top of the hill. Parking is plenty, traffic is okay, and just a nice place to chill out. I love it here.

Free entry. Parking at the foot hill. Remember to pay parking or you will get a ticket very quickly. Nice fresh air especially early morning. Nice hike around the hill. The monkeys are cheeky (watch out for their poop along the walking path). 😁

Children and Adults both like feeding Silver Head Monkeys which are quite friendly, you are able to even touch them, whereas the brown monkeys are naughty ones and should be careful and kept distance with them while feeding

We had a good experience here with our kids. The kids took the tractor trolley up the hill with their grandparents. Otherwise it is a short walk and not very high. The highlight was the monkeys in the trees and they came down to beg for food. Some of them have babies. They were harassing some people who had food but we're otherwise very nice.

We went up the hill by train🤗. Paid RM5. The weather was good and sunny day. Unfortunately, there are many monkeys up the hill. It's dangerous. They will snatch food in our hand. 😂.

It's a must to bring your family n kids...such a beautiful place with beautiful view... The monkey are so friendly. Advisable to go around 5 or 6 pm to c the both day night view....

Well laid out mangrove self tour. No ascent except climbing onto the watch towers. The total distance covered was 3.3KM. We were fortunate with the cool weather on a later morning. Had encounters with the largest mudskippers I've seen, orange claw crabs and large lizards. Various birds spotted and heard. Kingfishers topped the numerical list. Overall a fun 2 hour walk with the family.

The place is not well maintain. To enter there is a entrance fees. Not expensive. Affordable. Plenty of car parking lot are available. There are even chalet to stay and enjoy the nature of mangrove. It is about 1 hour 30 minutes walk. While walking we can view and study the habitats of the mangrove. Don't forget to bring along your mosquite repellent and water bottle. When we visited the place, it was very dry and not well maintained. We just had a walk in the nature.

Good mangrove forest about an hour plus from KL city. The nature park is maintained by Malaysian Nature Society. They hold numerous activities each year such as mangrove tree planting, nature talks and walks. Highly educational. Morning visits are always better, it gets very warm and humid after 11am. Come with mosquito repellant. You’ll likely catch sight of the silver-haired monkey which is endemic to this part of Malaysia.

This was our first time visiting. We came as part of a group that is performing mangrove restoration. Amazing place to go for walks and enjoy the mangroves. There are lots of monkeys so be careful with food. There is a boardwalk in the mangroves where you can see lots of colorful crabs and mudskippers. We will definitely come back and explore more.

If you like nature, come here and you will enjoy the scenery. If you want to do tracking please wear necessary shoes. Some corporate came here for 'planting trees' activity. The entrance fee is cheap, only RM4 per adult. There are also place to stay if you want to experience nature at night. It may looked idle from outside. And be carefull there are many monkeys around.

Great for nature enthusiasts, but not recommended for those seeking to spot monkeys. They tend to frequent residential areas, causing disturbances, especially for children. Urgent action is required from the local city council to address this issue.

Honestly, this place is amazing, especially if you love nature, outdoors, mangroves,walks and birds. I've been here several times after MCO 3.0, and find some sort of peace when I explore this nature park. Mostly, I'm here for birding, but occasionally I may see other wildlife. Again, only of you love nature, this place is highly recommended. Most of the time, it's very quiet and the entrance fee is only RM4. I will be back again soon, and maybe organise a photowalk here for those interested.

Parking space very limited but you can park beside the road as long as enough space for big bus to go through. Please be considerate to park properly and not blocking the road for other users. If blocked then the staff will call the municipal to tow the car. Other than that plenty of monkeys so don't leave trash near the area. The walk quite far so bring hats, drinks, snacks and insect repellent.

Doesn’t look well-maintained as viewed from the front entrance and the fencing. Car park and the road leading to the entrance is inundated with monkeys. A good place for children to have a closer look at monkeys.

We went on early sunday morning when it was slightly rainy, and was the first visitor there. paid rm4 per person for the trail entrance, no extra charge for foreigners. According to the friendly girl at the counter, the trail is 3.5km, and it will take around 1.5 hours to see. we only made it to as far as the watch tower, with magnificent views. We didn't make it further due to the rain, and hordes of monkeys blocking the way. theres a bunch of mosquitos, but they sell mosquito repellent lotion in the counter. its the autan one that comes in sachet or tube. sachet rm1, tube rm8.

Just pay minimal fees for conservation - RM4 for adult and RM1 for school going children. Enjoy experiencing the biodiversity of mangroves.

Note: I have a hard time deciding to give this a 3 or 4* rating. This is because the visit I made was during rainy season Located in the mangrove area Kuala Selangor Nature Park or Taman Alam Kuala Selangor, is an area to view a variety of mangrove flora and fauna. At the entrance, one needs to buy entry tickets RM4 for adults and RM1 for those below 17 years of age. The very helpful lady dishes out useful information on where to find the faunas on request. One can also buy mosquito repellents from the counter. Stepping into the park, one notices that it is not really maintained well. As it is a mangrove and it is rainy season, there are swarms of mosquitoes. I really mean swarms. Mosquito repellent is a must. There is a bird watching tower near the early area of the park. Unfortunately, the stairs leading up to the top is covered in droppings (faeces) and urine. I couldn’t make it to the top of the tower as it gets worse the higher we go. The paths are muddy. Very muddy. There are also cars moving on those paths. We can catch sight of the long-tailed macaque (a very common monkey) and also silvered leaf monkeys at the entrance the park. Along the inside paths we are sighted a kingfisher, egrets, crabs, giant mudskippers, skinks, garden lizards, and snails. Supposedly there are also otters, kraits and other snakes to be sighted if you are lucky. I can’t shake off the nightmarish swarms of mosquitoes so I will say it again. Get and use good mosquito repellents.

A nice place to visit. Stated no feeding to monkeys, but still people come and feed the monkeys...so, who's feeding the animals then. Upgrade the facilities especially the gardens by the authorities to make it the most beautiful place to visit.

A great place to bring family for a breath of fresh air and a change of pace from the bustling city. Ticket is priced at RM4 for adult. Not much fauna was seen during my visit. But managed to catch a glimpse of a stork and some mudskippers. But please beware of the abundance of macaques around the area and do not eat or drink around them as they might be aggressive when asking for food. Best not to stare down with anyone of them too. Good exercise to walk around the park.

Nice place to do some walking exercise, good to take photos, nice view from the top of the hill, mosque nearby. Tram was not running during off season and weekdays.

I never been to India but looking this temple architecture and sculpture, its gives a feeling that I am in India. This temple gives positive vibe and calm feel while praying. Definitely will come again. Suggestion: A proper toilet especially that is suitable for elders and disabled devotees.

This is the most beautiful Hindu Temple in Malaysia with it unique hand crafted design. One of the best Architectural wonders in Malaysia and heard that it took them 12 years to build this temple. I was overwhelmed by its architectural beauty and craftsmanship, one that will transport you as you are in India. Need to note that the opening hours 7am to 11am and 5pm to 9pm. No pictures were allowed in the Temple premises but you can still have a photo galore outside the temple. Simply amazing and do make it a point to visit this Hindu Temple. You will never regret it if you have a nick for architectural designs and craftsmanships. Make sure you wear a long pants in out of respect or they will give you a kind sarung to wear and cover you lower half of the body. Remember to buy their calendar on the way out as it consist the interior architectural designs picture.

A beautiful, captivating temple located that the outskirts of Kuala Selangor. Sculptures depicting various tales from Hindu scriptures line the walls of the temple, inside and out, each intricately designed, creating a visual mosaic of stories that one can appreciate individually at leisure once done worshipping. Compared to other temples in Peninsula Malaysia, the temple's unique modern design and uniform colour scheme separates it from others, cementing it among the must visit temples in the country.

One of the beautiful temples I’ve seen. The interior is beautiful and unique. And the environment and energy here are amazing, especially in the morning. Will definitely recommend to visit it.

It was a pleasant experience visiting this temple. The atmosphere itself is very calming and gave us positive vibes. We went here around 4.50pm and the temple was opened at 5pm sharp. There was priest for morning and evening pooja's. This temple is absolutely clean and well maintained. They do provide veshti for who ever wears short pants or skirts. Archanai are available in both coconut or fruit to choose from. There are plenty of foreigners coming to visit this temple almost everyday. This temple looks exactly like one built-in India. This temple has unique features and has adopted a rare sculptural technique known as Thundu Pattirippu Pathroba Pathram. This fine and delicate technique is customarily not employed in current temple construction, even in India, due to its high degree of complexity, and, was inspired by the shrine of Sri Subramanyar in the Bragatheeswarar Temple Complex (Peria Kovil) in Tanjore, South India.

Finest temple in Malaysia and amazed by the design of the temple. Extraordinary art 👍🏼. No allowed to take photos inside the temple and please wear proper attire when come to temple . Limited car parking.

This is my favourite temple in Malaysia. Small, but the design is simple and clean. Absolutely beautiful. Inside the temple it was majestic and serene. No photography or videography allowed inside the temple, and tourists must over the rules. The people are friendly and helpful. Just be respectful in places of worship especially if you are of different faiths.

It's awesome... People's who's love sculptures and ancient architecture and who's need some peace, family, can spend more time in this temple. This temple have more for enjoy.

A beautiful temple whose architecture is based on the vedic scriptures. Very serene and peaceful atmosphere. Photography is strictly not allowed inside the temple. There is a stall selling flowers and holy items for those who wish to make offerings. Ample parking also available around the temple grounds.

Amazing architeture of a Dravidian Hindu temple that follow the ancient Hindu scripture of a temple construction. All the ornaments and statues were intricately carved. Worth a stop and visit if you on your way to Kuala Selangor.

Drive around one hour from Kuala Lumpur to Kuala Kubu Bharu. Walk around 10 minutes to registration post. Another 30 minutes to one hour to the waterfall. Very nice place to rejunevate your body and soul. This is a protected area designated for Kelah (Malaysian Mahaseer). Please keep clean. No fishing. Please follow the instruction of the office/ranger.

2 km trail to the waterfall. Beautiful view. But be careful when crossing the river (slippery mossy rocks). Use the ropes provided. First u must register how many people are with you. You can bring food but only until the registration area. Bag inspection were done before u can cross the river via a "hanging bridge". Smoking and vaping were not allowed. I wish there were signs about the place rules at the very start. Feel bad for the parents who does the heavy lifting carrying all sorts of food. My advice is when arrived, find a spot to put your foods/ to picnic and then register. Don't take a lot of space because this is a public recreation area. Be mindful towards others. Or you can just enjoy the river stream at the registration area. U can still get surrounded by fishes here. Recommended to wear water sport shoes.

The hiking trail is easy but you need to cross the 7 anak sungai which can be a little dangerous to kids as the stream can be quite strong. But all crossing are guided with a rope. The place has tight security. Which Can be only visit on weekend and cannot bring any food or plastic into the hiking trails. The view of waterfall at the end of hike makes you forget your work at home hoping you could become monyet and stay there for the rest of your life. But there is no sight of monyet as i remember. Definitely a recommended place for you to find peace and give yourself a reward.

Very good location for family gateway. Only 1 hr away from city center with ample parking space. Be there early in the morning and register yourself at the office. Visitors need to leave the sanctuary/ waterfall by 4pm and take their trash together. The waterfall is clean unlike others nearby. The hike to main waterfall is about 4km and we took around 1hr 15min to reach.

Took about 1hour drive from KL to this hiking site, we didn't know that it is now open at 9am ~ 4:30pm. The hike is super beginner friendly, but will have to cross the river 5 times to get to the waterfall, the water height is from knee to waist, so it is impossible not getting wet. Along the way, enjoy the nature, sound of river flow. Cheers.

The location is excellent for a family picnic, and I'm excited to get there a second time, but sadly, it's closed. Only a banner like this was posted outside the main entrance as an official notice by the management. I definitely need prior announcements before travelling this far to this place. I hope the management can fix this by posting on social media, etc.

I actually just went on 27th January 2024 and it was open. I saw the google reviews which said it was closed and I went to try my luck and it was open. They do close the hiking trail by 1 pm. The river crossing currents are very strong right now though because the registration desk said whenever the east coast floods, the water has strong currents. nevertheless, the hiking to the waterfall was moderate for newbies like me. It was amazingly fun. I really appreciate how clean it was and the water being so pristine. Going to places likes this makes me wonder why would we sacrifice our beautiful forests for some over development of buildings that take away our lovely nature away. It was so beautiful and it makes me want to protect our pretty natural places. And i got to see the raja brooke butterflies! So pretty.

A great place for picnic, enjoying the nature and playing with "ikan kelah". Only open on friday to sunday. From 8am. After 3pm not allowed to go the waterfall for safety reason. Have to cross river 6 times (one using bridge) before reaching the waterfall. Not recommended to go on rainy day as the water can go high.

A nice place for family outing, kids friendly. Place is only open on weekends and Public Holidays! As this will be a 'wet place' be prepared to have shoes wet or go with sandals but those comfortable ones that is still good for hiking/walks as the water fall is around 30-45 minutes walk away from the registration counter. Quite ironic, there were signage/notice telling visitors not to feed fishes but at the registration counter, staff were selling fish food at RM5/bag!

Nice place to enjoy the nature , water is very cold and u have to cross 7 rivers to get to the waterfall and it’s a very clean place .

Excellent day hike. Bring water shoes of sort as you cross the river about 6 times. We brought our 10 year old and it got to about his waist at the highest point. The water was not very swift, but also had not rained in two days. I have they close the trail for safety if the rains are heavy. The hike is about an hour each way with virtually no elevation changes. Buy fish food at the trailhead. Feeding the fish is an amazing experience for young and old! You can't pack in food for the hike but you can picnic at the trailhead. Parking is on the road and it's about a 10 minute walk from the trailhead. I recommend getting there early to get a spot as it gets busy as the day goes on. Overall this is an excellent family day hike with a unique fish feeding experience.

Looking to cool down from the heat- this is one of those waterfalls that goes on forever, so many corners and spaces along the river for people to hang out for a picnic. Parking is along the road where the trail begins. A 5 min walk to get to the entrance. There are toilets near the registration counter. Entrance is free. You have to put in your name and identification before you cross the bridge to begin hiking up the river. There are 6 crossings guided by a rope. currents are quite strong and can be treacherous during rainy seasons. You'll see fishes swimming near rocks and boulders and on shallower waters as the current pushes them down the river. These are big fish. Wear a pair of good water proof hiking shoes. Some paths were muddy and slippery. Wear swimwear underneath and be prepared to get wet as you have to cross the river six times to get to the falls. It's spectacular! They check your bags before you cross the bridge to begin the hike. Bot sure what they were looking for, we had some fruits in our bags and it was ok.

One of the must go destination in Selangor that is still FREE OF CHARGE. No entrance fee and a very good hiking, river/waterfall, fish sanctuary spot. About 6 river crossing need to be done if you wanna reach the top where the big waterfall is at. About 1.5 - 2hrs drive from KL. Its the foot of the Frazer's Hill twisty roads. However, this place is only open on a weekend (saturday and sunday), 8.30am - 3.00pm. If you want to go to the waterfall, hiking and river crossings, and feed the fish, you need to enter before 1pm. Otherwise they wont let you go up ... No overnight camping is allowed, and if it is raining, you need to go out immediately for fear of the sudden surge of water or "kepala air' as the locals calls it.

Must visit. Open only on weekends. Be ready to get wet. Food is not allowed to bring into the Santuary. Be patient if you wish to use the bathrooms. There are plenty of fishes to feed. You are able to purchase fish food at the shop after registration. Dont forget to cancel your registration before leaving the Santuary. Please keep the Santuary clean and do not litter.

Went on 26/11/23 - CLOSED due to monsoon season & conservation. Closed from 18 Nov until 28 April 2024. Reopen on 4 May 2024 - Saturday & Sundays only. Closed on Public Holidays. Hiking entry time from 8am-1pm. Picnic time from 8am-4.30pm. No permit is needed to hike. Gov & local councils should annouce this info more widely as it was not shared on facebook or official websites.

This place is very well managed and clean. Well done to the management team. Opens only during weekends, 8.30am-4.30pm. This place attractions are river crossing and fish sanctuary. There's 4-5 rivers to cross with some up to waist deep. The fishes are everywhere and they don't bite. Fish food can be purchased at the base. The reason why this place is clean is because food is not allowed to be brought into the river and it's being enforced by having people checking your bags before entering. There's toilet and changing room at the base. Entrance is free.

Last Time to enter to the waterfall is 1pm Please make sure NO FOOD are bring to the waterfall / peak. Picnic, camping, playing water can be done at the main entrance. Its Free. Thanks to the new regulations of NO FOOD beyond the bridge its keeps the whole waterfall very clean. Fish Food are sold to feed the thousand of fishes. It takes 1 hrs or more depend on your walking speed to complete 2km walk to the waterfall. Parking to entrance is 0.5km Do visit Kuala Kubu Baru for lunch or breakfast

Beautiful and clean place. - No food is allowed if you are going to the waterfall. Bag(s) will be checked at entry point. - There is a place where you can put up tent(s) and picnic mat nearby the registration place with river side view. Family friendly for those who have small children. - Storage space available with fee of RM2/bag. - The journey to and back from waterfall is going to be wet. So if you bring extra change of clothes, can keep it at the storage space.

Nothing to do, but just snap pic outside. The most exciting things to do was to ride on the “tram”. But I did drew a pic of the lighthouse🤣 BEWARE OF MONKEYSSSSS 🙈 🙉 🙊

The lighthouse was closed when I visited on the 1st of Jan 2024. However, there are a few monkeys around. The rule of thumb being brown monkey aggressive, silver/grey money approachable. The view was nice, however at most 5 minutes and you are done.

A functioning lighthouse more than 100 years of age. Therefore it’s not open up for visitors. Simple, elegant colonial design, guiding the passing vessels of Malaccan straits.

Good place to bring kids together. To visit the museum and understand the historical events.

The lighthouse located on Bukit Malawati, Kuala Selangor is also known as the Altingsburg Lighthouse in conjunction with the name of the Dutch Governor General who ruled during the capture of Malawati City at the hands of the Dutch. It is the symbol of Kuala Selangor which is still strong and serves until now to be a guide for ships passing through the Straits of Malacca either from the North or South. The lights from this lighthouse will be installed from 7.00 pm to 6.00 am daily. Some details provided by the Marine Department of Peninsular Malaysia (Central Region) on this lighthouse are as follows: - Lighting Features: Fi (2) 15 Seconds - Visibility Range: 18 Nautical Miles - Lamp Height: 73 Meters (above APPM level) - Building Height: 27 Meters - Year Built: 1907

Great tourist attraction. Cheap with great views. It's a lil out there but I enjoy taking pictures with so many local murals and monkeys.

Nice place to be. But if too many people you just need to leave to be safe.

Presently entrance fee is RM5 per person and a locomotive pulled by tractor will bring visitors up the hill to see the lighthouse and a museum nearby.
