Beautiful shrine with a great hike up to it, if you want. Very serene and peaceful. The architecture of the buildings is gorgeous and well kept.

This is a bit of a slog but a very beautiful shrine, with great hiking nearby. There is water and snacks for sale at the shrine, but very little on the trails. It's best to go early, as the bus from Mitsumineguchi to the shrine takes almost an hour, and we were packed in like cattle. In the winter! Lots of wolf statues and torii gates. The shrine itself has services, and is flanked by two sacred trees that you walk out on a walkway to worship/appreciate. Worth the trip, but be prepared to stand up for a while to get there.

It takes a while to get here but it was worth it. For the adventurous, there are a couple of trails you can take to get there and also to the back temple. It was so quiet and serene, being surrounded by all the trees. Would definitely come back here again.

For me, shrines in Japan have always been something I tried to avoid due to them being so similar and not really offering anything unique. And this still stands for shrines in Tokyo. Outside of Tokyo though, the shrines are beautifully surrounded by nature. Mitsumine shrine in Chichibu, Saitama is up ontop of a mountain with a superb view (if the weather is nice). Its not too crowded and if you're brave enough you can even hike up. It must be really worth it.

The "enmusubi tree" is said to be 800 years old, and the "chi" from the sacred tree is said to be 800 years old. The "Haruhai-den" (far hall of worship) is also popular for its spectacular view of the sea of clouds, if you are lucky.

The parking fee for this shrine's sedan is 520 yen. It's pleasant for a stroll, and the shrine grounds aren't very large. You can enjoy a nice view of the distant Chichibu landscape.

Mitsumin Temple is the oldest temple in Saitama Prefecture. It was built by Yamato Takeru in 712. The temple is located 6617 feet up the mountain. (1603-1868) Many residents of present-day Tokyo used to trek to Chichibu on foot to pray for protection.

A beautiful shrine and well worth the trip. If you're in the Chichibu area, this place is a must. If you decide to drive, be sure to pack some snacks and to be careful on the road. The hour drive from chichibu is completely uphill on a very narrow road. There's two rest stops along the way, but there's no way to stop once you're at the base of the road leading to the shrine.

It is a great experience that is highly recommended. If you are feeling particularly energetic, you can hike from the temple (there's a good parking lot where you can leave your car) to several nearby mountain tops (between three and ten kilometres hiking away). Even if you're feeling less energetic, the temple offers great views of the area around. One tip would be to explore the temple before lunch and eat at the little restaurant on the temple grounds which has a balcony overlooking the mountains.

A wonderful temple to visit in Chichibu region. I took the bus from Seibu Chichibu Station and it took about 80min to come to this stop. The shrine is large and magnificent, with lots of areas and shops to explore. This area is also a hub for the hiking trail to Kumotori Mountain. I felt refreshed spiritually after visiting this temple.

I walked from Chchibu station to Hitsujiyama Park, and it took me 20 minutes, but it was a nice experience. This gorgeous park gives you fresh air to breathe. Worth a visit to this garden. We visited after few years and were pleasantly surprised to see the garden very well maintained and absolute pleasure to walk around. We always find something new: Colvillea racemosa in full bloom and kopak tree (white silk cotton ).

On April 20, 2021 the flowers are about 85% blooming. This park is not that big as my expectation, but nice to come here during shibazakura season. I've enjoyed it so much! Entrance fee is ¥300.

Hitsujiyama Park from Chichibu Saitama medium size park with pink moss. It’s not that full bloom when we visited just yesterday May 3, start of golden week. It’s free park no entrance fee. They have also some food stall with beer, udon soba and some miso potato. It’s too hot in the afternoon so bring sun block as well or your umbrella. It’s also far from station, we did walk bus there’s taxi or bus you can ride to get to the park.

Not yet full blossom. Can't find the perfect angle for a good photo. The traffic jam is terrible. We have to walk from the second parking lot to the park for 30+ mins. I suggest go early and park tell car on the first parking lot located on some the park.

Went there on the 1st of May and the flowers were no longer as well bloomed. The journey here from Yozoke station would be recommended over Seibu Chichibu as it is more of a gentle incline compared to coming up from Seibu Chichibu. Would highly recommend stopping at Yozoke station and making that slightly longer but more comfortable walk if keen to come visit this park.

Park is well maintained with nice flower decorations. It’s wonderful to spend time along with kids. Kids we’re enjoying nice flower views.

The pink moss are blooming later than expected, resulting in some.minor bald patches, but the experience was still wonderful. The sakura garden just outside gave plenty of joy of visitors.

Hitsujiyama Park located in Chichibu Saitama 1 hour and 5 minutes from my place. I when there for the 1st time. The park so beautiful with Sakura blossoms everywhere, There's another Sakura called Siba Sakura but doesn't bloom yet. Just near by there's Mountain cement, when i took pictures with Mt. Cement as background, the cement looks like water fall,falling down from top of the Mt, So beautiful and amazing❤️❤️❤️❤️

The shrine is beautiful with very nice wooden painting and carving on the entire building. It can get very crowded during the new year week. There are a lot of street food stalls during this time. Some traditional Japanese Shinto ceremonies are also carried out around this time.

Very unimpressed with the varieties and the quantities of locally-grown produces sold in this michinoeki. We were particularly shocked by the fact that some of the non-Japanese produced food-items were sold in here (like nuts from the US and herbal teas from China). Very disappointing!

Absolutely loved the place. But just to inform, these are not natural. lol. You can see pipes with holes in them through which the water flows and freezes. (Of course it's still nature's beauty the way it freezes). Don't forget to take a walk untill the end to enjoy more views. Expect to spend around 40 minutes easily. The parking costs 500 yen and then the entrance costs additional 200 yen.

What an amazing, magical sight to see the icicles of Misotsuchi at night! All I can say is you have to see it for yourself because being there is nothing like you see in the photos. Photos are beautiful. But they don’t give you half the feeling of what it’s like to see the icicles with your own eyes.
