We enjoyed the basic tour (2 options avl: basic is 75 minutes and premium is 120 minutes). We didn't ask what the difference between the 2 tours was, but since 75 minutes fit into our schedule, we chose it. It was an interesting tour and the tour guides were quite knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. I would like to view the gardens in late spring or summer as the grounds appear to be meticulously maintained. We visited on April 1(too early for blossoms) and it was snowing and quite windy. Photos are only permitted while OUTSIDE or inside the conservatory. No photos allowed inside the house whatsoever. A short (8 minute) and informative movie started off the tour that provided a background on the relationship between Wright and Martin. The attention to detail and design of the home was exclusively Frank Lloyd Wright, including the furniture throughout the home. There were many references to the rather large basement which was supposedly used for some entertaining, however, that is only viewable with the premium tour. In our opinion, the basement should be included in the basic tour since it is referenced throughout the basic tour. At the very least, it should be identified in advance of purchasing your ticket so as a consumer you are aware of that option and make an informed decision. Very clean reception area, well maintained restrooms and friendly staff.

Touring the Martin House was a fantastic experience. I did the 2 hour tour on a beautiful spring day. It was very informative and nice to visit the upstairs. It was hard to believe it was designed and built in the Victorian era. A VERY highly recommended tour.

We did not take the full tour but had a look from outside. We went for a short visit and did not have time to wait until tour started. I wish if we can buy tickets and have a look inside on our own pace rather than spending a lot of time following a tour guide.

It’s was a nice little tour, it lasted about a hour and a half, we toured the front of the house and then the first floor and a few rooms upstairs and then the conservatory. I really wanted to tour the whole house for the price I paid. But nonetheless this is Frank Lloyd Wrights design so I’m not surprised. The grounds were well kept and our guide knew her stuff. I enjoy touring estate homes and this one did not disappoint.

They offer two tours. The 70 minute tour is only the main house. The 2 hour tour is of all of the buildings. If I had realized that we would have taken the 2 hour tour. The house is in a residential area, so be sure to arrive in plenty of time to find parking and walk to the house. It is interesting and the building has many original pieces of furniture designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. The history of the Martin family explains why the house was designed the way it was. Unfortunately, when you go upstairs you only get to see part of the house. It would have been nice to see more. You can only take pictures in specific areas, mostly outside. Nice gift shop with beautiful items.

Took the 75 minute docent led tour of the home. He was so well informed on the main things you'd expect to learn, yet the small details he wrapped in made it a really neat experience. Going online to get tickets is needed, I'd do so as far ahead as possible. My friends and I found ourselves wishing we'd been able to take the 2hr tour; unfortunately it was sold out.

Beautiful construction, magnificently designed. The staff were so nice and very informative, and genuinely seemed to enjoy their work their. They were incredibly nice to us as let us take care of our young son who was with us and walk around the garden to calm him down. They truly cared about making our experience a nice one.

The Martin House was BEAUTIFUL!!! If you love different in architecture you will love this home!! Take a tour with a docent... we took the 1.25 hour tour and saw the house, conservatory and the carriage house and I was really impressed with it all. I would love to live in this house but I would never leave it!!! From the stained glass windows to the 8 miles of woodwork, this house is just amazing!! Don't miss it when in Buffalo!!!

Amazing house and it’s very well preserved. I took the basic tour at it lasted around 1.5hrs. You can ask as many questions as you want and the tour guides are very good experts in Wright’s architecture. Take the tour, is the only way to go inside the house. Indoor photos are not allowed. There is a 10 min video presentation at the begging that really helps understanding the historial context of the house. Take time after the tour to look around the house and see some cool old houses in this historical neighborhood.

Great experience at Frank Lloyd Wright's Martin House! . Wright's architectural genius is well explained both on the tour and by the movie at the beginning of the tour. The tour also gives the history of the home and the home's owner Darwin D. Martin. Did the 75 minute tour which takes you both inside and outside the house. Once inside the house each room is explained in great detail. The most interesting parts of the house are probably the conservatory and the sunrise fireplace. As with most Frank Lloyd Wright houses the furniture design is second to none. The barrel chair and bookshelf are the most memorable furniture designs in the house. Gift shop was good, some items were over priced, but they had a lot to choose from. Be sure to purchase a ticket online in advance. They do offer a few different tours. Photography is not allowed in most parts of the house. If you have been to other Frank Lloyd Wright houses and not yet seen this one, it should be added to your list!

One of Frank Lloyd Wright's masterpieces in architecture, known as Prairie style, which aims to be organic, making it part of its environment and trying to blurr the transition from the nature outside to the living areas inside. Beautiful inside and out, superb gardens. Enjoy!

This 100+ year old home is a must see if you visit buffalo. Our two hour was incredibly detailed and very informative. A truly beautiful piece of American history perfectly preserved. Thank you for a fantastic afternoon

Oh my God, where do I start? Our tour guide is very informative. We did the least expensive tour, wish we did the 2-hour tour. The pain staking restoration of this piece of art Architecture is magnificent! Thank you to the craftsman, the artisans, and the backers for saving this for future generations. The design, the eyelines, the thought and design going into even a narrow nearly hidden window encompasses the brilliance in Frank Loyd Wright's design in Martin House. If you are on the fence to see this home, jump over Nd come in. You will not regret it.

What a treasure! This was my first FLW project to visit and I’m pretty sure the bar has been set. The information center is incredibly well designed with plenty of information. The tour is fantastic and well worth the price of entry. The Docent was kind and knowledgeable. Then the house itself is nothing short of a masterpiece. The crown moulding woodwork is incredible, the art windows are perfect, the tiling is brilliant. The “flow” of the home is unique and offers moments of intimacy and awe. Well ahead of its time. I wish I could have taken photos inside, and I would have loved to explore the basement, as I’d wager there might be some hidden creativity there as well. 100% a must see for any art and design lover.

Excellent tour and facilities. How little Frank Llloyd-Wright cared about the people who lived in, used, the houses he designed never ceases to amaze me. Martin's wife was legally blind and there is not one thing about this house design that is sentient if her experience. It's classic Frank, clever, pedantic, beautiful, and all about Frank's aesthetician over comfort or use. On a bright day they had all the lights on - because his aesthetician is a terrible use of natural light. Fascinating!

This was my first time visiting. I was very impressed with the complex. The 75 minute tour was well worth it. It was worth traveling for. The detail that went into the design of the house is breathtaking. It was encouraging to see the efforts of this group to restore this house to what it was like over 100 years ago. Loved the tree of life stained glass. The detail that went into this place was better than some of the other FLW houses I have been to. If coming to Buffalo this has to be on the list to visit.

We went on the shorter 75 minute tour and it was fantastic! Both Eileen and Paula did an excellent job telling the stories of this beautiful home. The tour starts with a 9 minute video about the history of the Martins, Wright, and the building of this house. There is a cafe and a gift shop on site that sold lots of Frank Lloyd Wright merchandise that can be found at all of his other homes. We have a NARM membership so the two of us were able to get in for free! Well worth a visit if you’re in Buffalo.

A wonderful walk through the past visions of amazing architecture from a man who was a great artist and designer.the attention to detail of everything you could possibly think of.the use of wood and brick blends together perfectly.a must see if you are in the area.

Amazing rehabilitation to the tune if $50M+! We took the shortest tour- 1hr 15 min. The tour starts in the new building (award winning architecture itself) with a quick film and then a walk though the first and second floors of this historic creation of Frank Lloyd Wright, one of his earliest projects that helped catapult him to the fame he attained as a premier American architect. Absolutely beautiful rehabilitation and detail.

One of the few truly beautiful parts of Buffalo! There's a children's carousel that costs $1, food trucks with hot food, a great stroll to be had right on the water and a gigantic warship to break the brains of your children. Would recommend.

We visited on the outside as they were closing. Learned a lot of information about the ships as one of the workers was kind and explained a lot of the three ships. It was really great information.

My husband and I rented one of the igloos at Canalside at the ice rink. It was absolutely worth it. When we booked it, we had no clue it would be a CRAZY cold day. It was 8 degrees when we were there. The igloo made it a totally comfortable and super fun experience. They can have up to 8 people, but with Covid my husband and I decided to just make it a date day. There is an electric fireplace inside that kept it super warm. You get a thermos of hot cocoa to enjoy and our skates were already in the igloo when we got there. They knew the skates run big, so they even adjusted the size before we ever got there. They came and checked on us several times to see how everything was going or if we needed anything. This was our first time at the ice rink and it was awesome and I highly recommend it!!

Absolutely FANTASTIC time. Walked around til water bike rental place opened and have plans to go again. So much to do and see. Rode the carousel waiting for the rental place to open! Water bikes were easy and more fun than I've had in a long time. Took our time and casually rode while we talked and laughed. Fun and great cardio!!!!

My experience is always wonderful it's a beautiful place to take your children and has a lot of family oriented things to do from ship tours and different boat rides, from different food venues to yoga and all the beautiful sights to see. Also you can get a boat slip to dock your boat and so much more... love canalside

Buffalo Bill's boat parade! I had a great time it was fun just watching everybody! No fans in the world like the Buffalo bills fans! Donated a t-shirt from the ministry to support children's hospital and they took it without any hesitation or questions they were happy to have assistant! I love the bills Mafia! They bought me a hat after chemo!

Great place for vets, very expensive, $50 for myself a veteran and 2 kids tickets. Honestly feel I should be almost free because I fought for this country. Gift shops and food stands way overpriced. Great memorials and many things to see. Double decker bus tors, kayak and paddle boat rentals

If you're in Buffalo, defently a place worth visiting for a quick walk. The boats weren't open when I visited, but it was still cool to see them up close. It's also very close to the Buffalo Street car. It's Defently worth checking out.

A nice place to hangout with friends specially in the warmer months. It has a free entry museum, a $1 carousel ride, an ice cream shack, food shack, sand pit for kids to play and a restaurant. The stretch isn’t huge but it’s a good place to spend some time outdoors.

Great place to relax and educate.Bring your kids with you. Remember that visiting the ships at naval museum takes longer than you may expect :)

Beautiful, especially on sunny days. They have great events here such as salsa where you can learn to dance and practice with others. There are public bathrooms (although the stalls are too tiny) and little huts where you can get drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic). They have benches on the promenade as well as tables and chairs in a little beer garden. There is a parking garage across the street where you pay $5 to park for the day. Great way to spend the day and enjoy Buffalo!

A true experience of what war used to look like on the open ocean. The ships were beautifully maintained, unfortunately the Sullivan's were under maintenance on my visit. The tour took about 2 hours, lots to read and to take in. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Lots of free parking and just over the border from Canada, very easily accessed.

Great place to visit old naval ships/submarine. Very interesting to hear about the history of the ships and wars. Highly recommend! You will have to climb ladders and be comfortable with small spaces.

Very pleasant and uncrowded around 7-8am. So peaceful to walk and take photos, we got the park almost all to ourselves. Great for just visiting or to get a good tour before museums are open for you.

We went with a Boyscout troop for an overnight stay and it was a great time! The staff was friendly and very helpful. The atmosphere is ushered in by the huuuuge steel structures that surround you. Thank you to all the men and women who have laid down your lives in service to my country so I can be free!

Great stop for those who wish to see a naval warship up close and personal. The facility has a small museum that has the history of the vessels on display as wall as US Navy maritime history. Plan on spending a full day at the park to explore all the ships thoroughly. The Sullivan's and Corker will not take to much time but the Little Rock is BIG. Depending on the age of the kids, the fun items were the bunks and the items they could touch. The history of the ships and the different information stations could be dull for them.

Great collection of historic ships and the onboard displays are first rate. Volunteer staff were informative and engaging.

This was an excellent collection of ships! It's worth the few hours it will take to look at everything. The history and awesomeness that are these ships is amazing. The Fletcher class of DDs is a sight to see. The Gato class of sub is beautiful even with the modified nose as she got upgraded. The last remaining Cleveland class cruiser was wonderful even though she's not in her original configuration with guns. It was amazing learning so much about these ships and talking with the volunteers.

What an amazing park and memorial! From the memorials spanning over a hundred years, to the naval ships available to tour, the entire experience was fantastic. The park is very well maintained and filled with folks willing to answer your questions. I went in early summer and it was fantastic weather.

Nice place to have a afternoon walk. Too bad...I couldn't be there on time to visit the inside. Place is open 7 days a week between 10am to 5pm. Last ticket sold at 4pm. Cost of ticket Adult (13-64yrs) $18, Youth (5-12yrs) $12, Child (0-4yrs) $0, Senior (65yrs+) $15, Veteran $13, *UPDATE as of 2022 Jul 22: USS The Sullivans is currently closed as work continues to preserve and maintain the ship.

Lots of things to do. There were food trucks, restaurants, ice cream, many different boat tours and cool things from history to check out! Beautiful views as well.

Very nice place. It is good for a walk, enjoying the adorable smell of the flowers, and the display of two naval ships , submarine and two old war aircraft. You can visit the ship but you need to purchase a ticket.

This place was awesome to visit. We didn’t realized that that the two larger ships are both 1 in a few. We did a self guided tour and it was educational and pretty well thought out. We will definitely be back and will be doing the tour with a tour guide.

Awesome place to visit. It’s worth going just to see the different kinds of ships. We didn’t make it in time but you can do a tour on one of them. Other than that it’s a nice walk. They did have some food nearby. It was easy to find parking nearby.

The curator tour was an excellent experience, well worth the cost, and also could take you into spaces that would ordinarily be locked. Shane description of what went on in each space and how the ships have evolved over their lifetimes adds several layers to what you see, that really helps understand what you're looking at.

Wow what a wonderful and fun adventure this was, the docents were so friendly, personable, and funny. During the tour you get a real feel for how the sailors had to live and fight on these vessels. Absolutely recommended for any one to enjoy but beware it is very very intriguing!

Very cool to visit these 2 ships and submarine. Parking can be a little challenging near by. It’s paid street parking but the box was not working so I had to get the app and the Buffalo parking app requires a $10 deposit. Very annoying for a short visit. Wish there was a specific lot for the attraction

This is a nice little zoo! Many animals to be seen with the most unique being the two polar bears! Easy to get around and see everything in about 2-3 hours. Most animals were outside. Some animals were exhibited inside. The rainforest exhibit was perhaps the best of the indoor exhibits. With all the good things the zoo has going for it, it does need some updating. The zoo's elephant house, houses a rhino? Some of the spaces provided for the animals should also be much larger. The zoo is right near Delaware park, I think it should be expanded a little so the animals could have more room. Some of the zoo's buildings were built in the 30's and could be renovated to boost their appearance. Parking was easy and fairly reasonable. Gift shop was well stocked. Staff was helpful and friendly.

First time at this zoo and I will most definitely be returning again. It had a nice variety of animals, including tigers, lions, giraffes, a polar bear, meerkats, and rhinos. Zoos I have visited before usually don’t have an employee there educating you on some facts about their animals. So it was a nice surprise when there would be a zookeeper there talking about the animals and some even had carts with casts of the animals’ skulls and fur so you could touch and feel them. We went on a Saturday and while it took a bit to buy the tickets (so would recommend to buy them ahead of time) the rest of our visit wasn’t too crowded. We were able to get a good view on all the animals. Would also like to add that the bathrooms were clean. There seemed to be one in every corner so that was awesome with my 4 yo. Love how there were family restrooms as well. Got a black bean, mushroom and Swiss veggie burger from the food court. 10/10. Overall great experience.

I'm always torn about seeing animals in captivity, but it was a good opportunity to speak to the kids about preservation. The zoo has the usual slightly over priced restaurant and gift store. 😏 Also has periodic shows throughout the day, so check the website for times before you visit. We went on a Sunday, and parking was plentiful, and we only waited a couple of minutes to get in. Overall, a pleasant experience...

So much fun at the Zoo Imagination experience. On Saturdays the cost is $19.95 for adults. Lots of interactive art displays, incredible colors, as well as education to go with the art. There is a beer tent, snacks and gifts. Most animals are not out but we did see a sleeping polar bear, eagles and a mountain goat.....

My family and I went to the Buffalo Zoo on a Monday and it was fairly quiet (It was a nice sunny/cool day) but I don't think it was fully open for the season yet. No lineup to get in since it was a Monday. Some exhibits and food/snacks stations weren't open. We weren't able to feed the goats sadly. My 11 y.o. daughter enjoyed seeing all the mammals, birds, reptiles and insects.

This was the first time we have come here and it was perfect. We had 3 under 8 kids with us and it was exactly big enough to see everything and not miss out. Lots of different animals and the way information was presented was easy to understand and engaging.

This zoo is alright. We came on Christmas Eve, and it was basically a ghost zoo. Some animals like the rhino and elephants were not out because it was too cold. The polar bear was definitely not doing so well.... Waking around in circles and swinging its head... Signs of mental issues and boredom. Same goes with the tigers. The reptiles and amphibians were the coolest part.

Very nice zoo! We traveled here from Texas and really enjoyed the different animals than what we have in our zoo! Seeing a Polar bear was super cool! Several animals we have seen before, but the exhibits are easy to get through and we're very clean.

we love the zoo!!! there’s always enough entertainment between all of the exciting exhibits and events at the zoo that we are happy to come back! the zoo is an important educational institution for the city and it’s critical that the public , especially children , are still afforded the opportunity to go to places like this! it’s hard not to spend the rest of your day once you’re there!! Love love love the zoo !

This 3rd oldest zoo is small, but full of animals too are and learn about. Don't forget to enjoy keeper talks and the Avian Odyssey! I'd love to see the zoo get more space but I don't think that will happen. You can bring your own snacks too!

I'm editing my review from 4 stars to 5. What's the difference? Well I'm now a mom to a 5 year old and really appreciate the size of this zoo and the exhibits they bring in annually. Great size for small kids (takes 3 hours max), love the animals (polar bear, giraffe, big cats!), and just an easy day. Easy to find, easy to park, just effortless compared to larger places like the Toronto Zoo. The kids who work throughout were knowledgeable and great too. What a fun day.

This is a small zoo and I took my sweet time going through it. In all it took me a leisurely 2.5 hrs. I didn't eat or have children with me. The komodo dragon exhibit was down for maintenance and in all the animals looked sad and unengaged in their habitats which message me a little sad. 21-25$ to enter. Parking costs up to 12dollars for more than 2 hrs-debit/credit only for parking! There is also a souvenir/gift shop.

Very small zoo that makes fairly good use of its space, although there are some central open portions that could have been used to increase some exhibit sizes. Scenery was lacking in comparison to other larger zoos, but for the size and younger target audience, the zoo is acceptable.

Small older zoo but still unique and interesting. Went on a Sun in Jan and still was able to see most of not all the animals. The big cat area was cool to be able to see them up close from inside, but the rainforest area was the best. Very warm despite the outside temp. Good place too walk around for a couple of hours.

I went on a weekday and it wasn't crowded at all. In fact, there wasn't even a line going in. The animals all had unique personalities and were so fun to look/interact with. I wish the otters had been out. I went back a few times but they must have been inside or hiding. To be fair, it was blistering outside. I was amused that the polar bears were the most active outside in the scorching sunlight. The zookeepers were all very helpful. We especially enjoyed the gem/fossil station. It was definitely a family favorite.

Beautiful zoo! It had several backdrops throughout the zoo for beautiful pictures. While it isn't the biggest, it was just right to explore in a couple of hours. It made for a great road trip from Niagra Falls.

This zoo was a lot bigger than I expected. For like $18 you get a good size zoo that you can walk around for a few hours or more. Plenty of animals were out. I took off a star because that parking is horrendous. It took us awhile to find a parking spot and it wasn’t even close to the entrance. I still recommend coming here though.

Animals in concrete pens, in their feces and urine. Is this respectful? Is this conservation? Is this humane? It looks like a correctional facility for individuals whose only crime was to be born a wild animal. It’s time for zoos to become rehabilitation centers to teach new generations kindness and respect. Enough of “bread and circuses”. Animals deserve better. And our children do as well. Enough of this superficial appeasement under the guise of education unless the lesson is “might is right”.

Great visit. Animals were active and up-close. Saw many unique animals such as Sand Cat, Canadian Lynx, and many others. See pictures. My aunt who lives in the area, first visit in over 10 years was impressed how much the zoo has grown.

Visited on a Saturday morning. Parking was simple. The zoo is well laid out. We especially enjoyed the polar bear and the lions. 2 lionesses and 4 cubs were out for a while. Then 2 males came out and They were roaring back-and-forth with the females and cubs. Of course they also have some bisons.

Family of four 2 adults and 2 children. Parking was free ...today ...Purchased a family yr membership for 110.00$ ( gives discounts at other zoos!!!!) Two visits is more than that and you'll want to come back! Animals seemed well cared for. Some construction at the entrance made it a little cumbersome to navigate around. Early spring weather was overcast 60 degrees. A few exhibits were under construction. Did not interact with many employees. Spent 3 hours here and still could have spent more. There was a few of the typical food choices pizza burgers fries ck fingers etc. popcorn cotton candy dipping dots for snacks around the park. Animals were aging a little. I didn't even get to the the giraffes because you know ...toddlers. Front the arctic circle , to the African savannah , the mountains of Asia and the rainforest of south America almost all 7 continents..the only thing missing are elephants and penguins....Lions tigers polar bears gorillas buffalo bison ( 716 Lets Go ) reptiles and much more! It was a very enjoyable afternoon. I've been to many other zoos before, but this was my first visit to the Buffalo zoo. This one is a diamond in the rough. There's a lot to see and experience, but they definitely need to upgrade the facility and freshen the presentations.

Such a great experience! All the cages and facilities were very clean! The Staff was very polite! The lady in the Rainforest was knowledgeable and the cashier from Buffalo Burger was awesome. Food prices were steep but all in all it was a great time. We will be back!

The zoo has really improved since the last time I visited a few years ago. The display art of flowers, insects, etc is really beautiful, I would love to see it at night. The indoor exhibits were great, the bird show was nice and there are lots of activities for children. And they do give a military discount.

A good local zoo, but you shouldn't travel from a distant city! many aviaries were under reconstruction and many locations are still preparing for the season

The Buffalo Zoo is a fun and educational place to see a variety of animals and plants. I loved seeing the majestic lions, tigers, and snow leopards; the intelligent chimpanzees and red pandas; the exotic komodo dragon, sea turtles, and zebras; and the adorable goats and cows. The zoo also has a reptile house with snakes and frogs, a bird house with eagles and other birds, and an Arctic Edge exhibit with polar bears and mountain deer. The zoo also offers a carousel ride and a kids tattoo art station for extra entertainment. The Buffalo Zoo is a must-see attraction in Buffalo, NY.

We arrived in chilly autumn afternoon. We did not have to wait as it was the off season and the park was not fully of many people. Even so we got to see plenty of animals that were spectacular to see. The enclosures seemed clean and the animals appeared happy. The lions even put on a show for us roaring and playing with each other. I highly recommend going when you get the chance

This is an amazing art museum. The encyclopedic collection is beauty presented and thoughtfully curated. I especially enjoyed the new addition. The spaces are expansive, thoughtfully contemporary, and wonderfully lit. The gift shop associates are welcoming and the gallery attendants very helpful. Overall guest experience here is top notch 👍. Go for the stroll through the new wing... stay and get lost in a Rothko or people watch in the airy sculpture court.

It's one of the must visit museum if you are into modern arts. Few of the artifacts are mesmerizing especially the morgenthau plan painting. I attended the museum when they were having $5 for the family. They have it one day Every month what a lucky day to be there. The tour was informative it's amazing to know the stories behind the art.

Beautifully redone museum. The brand new wing was delayed in opening but the refurbished section and new entrance show the time and effort put into the project. A must see and n Buffalo. Make sure to schedule enough time to enjoy the wonderful collection.

Great museum with friendly staff! While I was disappointed that the works by Nam June Paik and Tony Conrad were not on display, the rest of the museum was fantastic. Organized very nicely and the staff seem to actually know what they're talking about and care to be there, whereas in other museums I've found the staff unhelpful and miserable. Very welcoming. There's a nice LEGO installation for children as well, if you are bringing any.

Very nice art museum with a great inventory. Many pieces of art from both renowned artists and artists I never heard of before. Unfortunately as of this review, the new building that they had been working on for years was not open. It will be opened towards the end of July from what I could gather. They gave us free entrance passes to return when the new building opens. I am happy I got to finally visit this museum as it had been closed for my entire time in Buffalo. Would gladly return and would recommend to others.

Great experience, the place is very modern and the technology that they have used inside the building is also amazing. The items present in the museum are minimal but the infrastructure and the design gorgeous. Took some great pictures and loved the art in there.

The AKG has always been a 5 star art museum. It’s been over 20 plus years since I last visited, the new addition is gorgeous. Really blends seamlessly with the old and new. We didn’t have time for a full tour, but we were thrilled to learn that the atrium has no entrance fee and now includes the famed Mirrored Room”. This interactive piece has always been a crowd pleaser and it’s so great that so many more can now experience it. And it’s great they are ensuring it’s preservation as well. Believe me, it’s 1 min of wild fun. The outside grounds are great for a stroll and in a beautiful setting.

An eclectic mix of mostly modern art pieces. It is a bit smaller than some of the other comparable cities like Cleveland or Detroit, but what it lacks in size it adds in value. Personally, I love contemporary art and this place had a lot of that. It has a very beautiful addition to it that respects the classic architecture while creating a new and exciting building to house more gallery space.

Such a beautiful museum. Very interesting pieces of art. The day I went I didn't know it was their annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony. The admission was pay what you choose. They sang carols and we sang along and it was actually really fun. The rows of the auditorium sang a line of 12 Days of Christmas, one line per row and I liked that it was interactive. There is artwork outside the museum as well. As a Buffalo State College student you can get discounts to the museum.

It was super fun and the art was incredible! loved it. they have a very formal cafe that's a bit expensive but the food was great. The gift shop was super cute and had a ton of little gadgets that were affordable, although some were also a bit expensive.

The remodel is absolutely phenomenal. I am so in love with the new space. Mom and I attended during the opening week on a Friday. Wear comfy shoes, but the elevators are a welcomed addition. AKG has an excellent set of exhibitions, including works by African amercia and Native american artists and work by artists produced during the pandemic. I was thoroughly happy to see they have Clyfford Still back on display too. We didn't get over to the old Knox building, but I can't wait to go back. I could write a novella on the design features that I love, but you must simply see for yourself.

This is a great representation of what is to the world! The beauty in different aspects between arts and generations with different materials is well represented in this location. I recommend it to each and every person that comes and visit the city of Buffalo. It’s definitely wheelchair assessable and very accommodating to any persons need.

Great art museum with pieces from many famous names. Fair prices. Can spend a couple hours here wandering around. Lots of green space around the museum, makes for a great stroll.

It's been 10 years since my last visit which is far too long. But I was watching the construction and when I heard they completed the new addition I had to visit. First the building itself old and new is art, the architecture is always a combination of ancient rome meets modern day technologies. Let's start with the cafe with fresh made pastries that my boys absolutely loved. Onto the youth exhibit with the Lego room which was very interactive and got imaginations working. Then the mirror exhibit unfortunately leaving in January which left everyone with smiles and a great video. Onto the new addition which features 3 full floors of displays capped by a large piece that wraps around the basements exit into the parking garage. I believe our visit lasted a total of 3 hours and the impact to keep a 5 year old and 8 year old engaged was a highlight. But no talked about enough was the absolutely fantastic staff. Everyone was not only friendly but knowledgeable and that placed the experience over the top. I was proud to see the improvements and after seeing the new vision I have to say this is a must go. I'm planning a fall trip just to see how the lights during the season change interact with the building and another trip after a heavy snow fall in winter. The way the architecture melds with the art and how it dances with the light is stunning. This was a treat.

The Buffalo AKG is a cool museum that has an impressive collection of art. The AKG has a wonderful layout and unique architecture. The building housing the older galleries were built in the early 1900’s and feature neoclassical designs. The buildings housing the newest galleries were completed in 2023 and feature modern looks. The museum is on the National Register of Historic Places. The museum has over 6,000 pieces that can be displayed. A sampling of many artistic styles can be seen throughout the museum. Great artists such as Van Gogh, Gaugin, Renoir, Homer, Pollack, Warhol, and Picasso have paintings featured here. A great collection of sculptures can be seen throughout the museum. Galleries are spacious and you can move at your own pace. The museum does offer tours throughout the day. Staff at the museum was friendly and helpful. Tickets for the museum can be purchased online. It is also easy to buy them in the museum. The museum has a parking garage which is easy to get in and out of. The AKG is on the edge of Delaware Park and if the day is good, try to take in the park as part of your visit. There is so much to enjoy at the AKG!

I was absolutely impressed and delighted during our last week's visit there. Beautiful blend of older and modern architecture, impressive collection of art, professional, very friendly staff, a very well-kept and maintained art gallery, and I can go on and on. We took the 11am complimentary tour offered, and we were privileged to have a "private" tour by the Docent Barbara (we were the only 2 people having the tour that day and that time of the day:). I highly recommend having a tour, and when you have a great docent like we had, it is even better. Thank you, Barbara! This was my first visit at AKG, but not the last. There are so many things to see, not too far from home, even if it is across the border.

A great art museum here in the city of Buffalo. Love the new expansion they have, especially the featured collection of all the art that was purchased or gifted while the museum was closed for renovation/the pandemic.

I loved the Albright Knox before the expansion, so i couldn't wait until they reopened again. It was worth the wait, i can't believe it took me almost 6 months to visit it. Besides all the art, the new buildings and sculptures are a must see.! They have programs for adults and children ( like art classes and events). There's a restaurant in the main building, but also a wine bar upstairs in a new building with live music that you can just sit and enjoy. I love the fact that they've brought back m&t 1st Fridays, when the admission is free or pay what you want. It took me a while to find steet parking, i completely forgot about their underground parking lot.

Fun for all ages! Great local art museum is easily accessible and parking is free on the street across Delaware Park.They also have garage parking and will validate your parking. Depending on how much you love art , expect to spend about 1.5 hrs-3hrs here. There are two cafes inside for tea and crumpets and sandwiches if staring at art makes your stomach growl in a very quiet room.😊

Amazing spaces, docent tours and art exhibits!! Well worth your time to visit. Check out the Julia Bottoms exhibit and look up red lining. You will be amazed at the depth of this artist.

Absolutely in love with the AKG! The architecture is stunning and love the layout/flow of the galleries. The staff were truly spectacular. Everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful. My son asked about work by Mondrian and Picasso and the staff at reception marked the pieces on the map with ease. Amazed by how many paintings by the Greats -- quite a collection and of renaissance, contemporary, impressionists and sculptures. Parking underground was a breeze. Wonderful morning -- time well-spent!

I recently visited the Buffalo AKG art museum and it was totally worth the experience. The art and exhibits which they have depicted inside are truly wonderful. It's a well maintained museum and a must visit for all the art lovers.

Father and son watch Sabres VS Penguins hockey game live. Arena was clean and comfortable. Excellent game to enjoy! The food options were trash. Nachos were swimming/smothered in cheese. Cheese that was intended for dipping became an obstacle and rendered the chips soggy and unpleasant to eat. Roast beef sandwich was about as pleasing as a baby’s diaper in its appearance… it was very bland and you’re better off being hungry. Perhaps an investment in food products that aren’t just scrapping the barrel to pass as food would be big hits for those attending games? Arena operations would be better off not offering food instead of selling imitation food. Or even ask yourself “would this be something I’d eat?” Quality is lacking in food options at the Key Bank Center.

As always, great venue to watch the Sabres play. Haven't been to a game in a few years and noticed a considerable jump in price in beverages. Besides that, great modern facility with plenty of food options and drinks. Always impressed that the Sabres organization plays the Canada National Anthem regardless of if a Canadian team is playing or not. Much respect for that. Go Sabres

Good place for any event. Saw Sebastian Maniscalco, the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, and Jeff Dunam within a couple of months of each other and they were all great! Parking is a major hassle unless you get to the venue very early. The traffic gets very congested the closer you get to the arena. Plan ahead and get there early and everything will go smoothly!

Have been there many many times and always a fun, safe atmosphere. Process are typical of arena prices. Staff is stressed and a little dismissive but overall not bad. 200 level row 1 center ice (section 218) is the best view for hockey games but 200 Level row 1 section 226 is best for shows.

Great Leafs atmosphere. Very nice arena to watch the Leafs win in. Great leafs fan. Arena was very loud. Seeing The wave at an away game was amazing. Food prices were average, not much options. Seats are comfortable

We attended the Sabres vs Flames game October 19th, our first NHL game. We were unfamiliar with the arena and were attending with our toddler. Beautiful arena, more affordable than Toronto prices for sure, loved our first game certificate from account services. The service was excellent and staff were helpful except when my hubby took our toddler to change between periods. He waited for 10 minutes to find out no change tables in the men's rooms and he had to go to the other side of the arena to the family bathroom. How is a parent to know that? When he returned he hadn't taken his ticket ( it was his 1st NHL game so he didn't realize the importance) as we were on level 100, a second steward had joined the one we had from game onset and the new staff wouldn't allow them to return to our rather pricey seats. He missed the whole 3rd period and OT, a bit disappointing. Staff was added to ward off the seat jumpers, I had 5 in front of me the whole 3rd period, but the same prevented my hubby and son from seeing a 3rd of the game we paid for. I had the tickets, and could have shown if they were escorted down. The sensory kits available at guest services are a great option available for those with sensory concerns.

Came here for the Casting Crowns, Zack Williams, Toby Mac concert. We stayed at the hotel up the block but there’s a parking garage across the street. Entry was easy through the scanners. Plenty of food & drink options. Pizza, Mexican, Sausage & peppers hero’s, BBQ, Southern tier, ice cream, etc & plenty of beer options. The only thing we didn’t like is when you buy a bottle of water, the remove the cap & keep it.

Enjoyed a Sabers game with friends. From the moment I entered the center to the moment I walked out the exit, the experience was great. Every staff person I interacted with was pleasant and helpful. Kudos to each of the ambassadors who made my experience memorable and stress free.

I came to Buffalo from Detroit and enjoyed my experience. First off the sabres organization is a top tier organization. The kindness showed to me was unbelievable and the stadium has some great views for nosebleeds! I enjoyed every minute of this game!

KeyBank Center is a multi use arena located in the heart of Downtown Buffalo and home to the Buffalo Sabres (NHL), Buffalo Bandits (NLL), 1st & 2nd Round of March Madness, Concerts, Comedy & much more. Overall the arena does not have a bad seat in the house. The start of the 2021-22 season, marked a new Era where the arena is cashless and must use plastic for all transactions. Even when you are trying to buy a ticket at the box office, they will try sending it to your phone if you provide them a phone number compared to a paper ticket. They can still do paper but they try avoiding it at all cost. Security check point is fast and easy with team members checking bags prior to walking through metal detectors. (NO BAGS OR PURSES just a FYI) As for shops, the main shop is the Sabres Store located on ground level prior to passing through security check point and scanning your ticket. If you are a season ticket holder for either the Sabres or Bandits, make sure you tell the cashier and show proof to receive your discount. Once past Security, there are much smaller retail outlets located at the top of the escalators for both Buffalo Sabres/Bandits games. In the event of a Bandits game, you can only get merchandise at the Sabres Store or these two outlets at the top of the escalators as the other merchandise outlets throughout the concourses are closed unless attending a Sabres game. Food options are all over, but nothing special. They have your typical arena food from burgers, pizza, chicken tenders.....many local favorites. Like many arenas, over priceds for what you get but you won't go hungry if you are looking for something. Restrooms are clean and plentiful but are showing signs of once having better days. Wait times are not bad but can become long primarily for the female restrooms in between periods/quarters. Staff is great, extremely helpful and alert to safety needs. Pegula Sports and Entertainment does a great job attracting top shows to the venue, while updating amenities for guest enjoyment. Overall the facility is in great shape and a great family filled environment. With a hotel (Marriott Harbor Center) attached the the facility and a parking garage at each end of the arena, it makes for a quick easy access in and out of the building.

KeyBank Center is a multi-purpose arena located in Buffalo, NY. The arena is home to the Buffalo Sabres NHL team, and it also hosts a variety of other events such as concerts, conventions, and family shows. The arena is well-designed, with excellent acoustics and a great view from any seat. The seating is comfortable and the concourse is well-lit and easy to navigate. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the security is tight but not overbearing. The food and drink options are diverse, with a variety of food options and bars with marked up prices. One downside to the KeyBank Center is that it can get quite crowded during peak event hours, which can make it difficult to navigate the space. Additionally, parking can be a challenge, especially on busy nights. Overall, KeyBank Center is a good option for anyone looking to catch a game or an event in Buffalo. The arena offers a good experience but there are areas for improvement such as parking and crowd management.

Saw Journey here with my girlfriend, easy to get to, lots to do around the arena. Sightlines were great, even for"less expensive" seats. Seats were surprisingly comfortable. Staff at the arena was very helpful to us first time visitors in finding our seats. Overall can't wait to revisit for our next show.

Arena wasn’t the most modern but still really nice. Street parking is free on weekends and is next to a metro line. Had a great time and they won!

Great arena! Convenient Parking throughout the city of Buffalo. Wide range of merchandise at several stores. Make sure you don't stand out in the cold. You can stand inside before entering security & ticketing.

I am not the biggest hockey fan in the world but I came to a sabres game with a work colleague. I would have to say it was a pretty great experience. Firstly, there is parking near by and the prices are reasonable compared to a lot of stadiums I’ve been too. The entrance process was fast and staff were helpful getting you through. There was decent food and drink options and cost was reasonable for a stadium. The seats were fantastic and comfortable and I overall had a great experience.

Been coming here since it opened it’s a great place still feels brand new with clean facilities good views and great sound. Always a fun time when we enter the arena. Many food and drink options. Always impressed with this how well run this arena is.

We went for the circus. We parked outside of the parking garage for 20$ credit/ debit only, which was very convenient. The extremely over priced nachos and pretzels were complete trash and cost a fortune. The only good part of food was the ability to purchase alcohol.... They were even serving cocktails when we walked into the building before 11am. The bathrooms were clean.

Great time, Great game, great friends. Food and drink is pricey, but it is no different than any other professional sports venue. Thank you to the Buffalo Sabres and Especially "Beth" for the tickets. We will be back again next year!

KeyBank Center is a wonderful place to see a hockey game! The arena is spacious and provides a great atmosphere! The sightlines for a hockey game are excellent. A capacity crowd for a hockey game here is a little over 18,500. For most games there are tickets available. The arena offers some great food choices that you will not find anywhere else. These include Beef on Weck sandwiches, LaNova Pizza Perry’s Ice Cream, Tim Hortons, and Sahlen’s hotdogs. Concession prices are high, but many food items are lower than other stadiums in professional sports. Your dollar will go further here than almost anywhere else. There are many great restaurants, bars, and stands located on every level. The 200 level club level seats are fantastic and provide excellent service, nearby restaurants, stores, bathrooms and good views. Seating in most areas is spacious. There are no obstructed views in any part of the stadium. The fan atmosphere at a Sabers game is very good. Even though the team is struggling this year; Buffalo loves their team. There is a band that plays before the game and at period changes, it adds to the event. Staff at stores, concessions stands, and security were helpful and friendly. Check out the retired numbers hanging from the rafters here. You will see Domnick Hasek, “The French Connection, Ryan Miller, and yes Tim Horton. Don’t miss The French Connection statues outside the stadium. Overall, a great experience is to be had by all here!

Love the seats. Views were fantastic. Bathrooms were clean. Lots of options for food. Easy to get in and around. Also, easy to get out. Staff were friendly and very helpful.
