What an awesome park. This was and unexpected place that I got to check out because I was staying in an Airbnb nearby here the boardwalk is awesome you could walk for an hour and put in area takes you into a nature preserve. It really reminded me of my time in Florida except here there's no alligators or snakes or snapping turtles. If I came back to this area to stay I would definitely come back to this park because it's a cool Little Gym and who would have thought that Connecticut had such an amazing water view by the ocean. Not this California Guy for sure

I haven't been to Silver Sands in quite a few years, so I was pleased with all the updates that have been made with the boardwalk. I have to say the parking for handicap accessibility is still a very small area.... which is a bummer. I wish the beach wasn't as covered in broken shells/rocks. That being said, it is a beach, it's kind of hard to avoid without the town having to rake it every single day. If you're looking for a beach that is all smooth sand, this isn't the beach for you. Other than the handicap parking and the shells/rocks being hard to walk on with bare feet, I had a great day with my sister and niece's. I'll definitely be going back soon. I would like to add that they do have lifeguard on duty and that they are very strict about bringing any of those wave boards or even balls into the water. It's to keep the public safe so I understand but figured I'd give anyone a heads-up so you're not lugging something to the beach you and or the kids can't even play with if it's your intention to play with it in the water. Also, I did see signs posted that dogs aren't permitted to go on the beach.

Silver sands is one of my favorite beaches. It has beautiful sandy spaces, is maintained well, bathrooms are clean and spacious, and you can't go wrong with the ample parking. Even on cloudy days, this is a great place to visit, especially if you like hermit crabs and birds

One of the best state parks in CT. Plenty aria for the parking. Boardwalk is very clean with butiful views and if you wizyt the place when is low tide you can walk on send bar all the way to the Island.

So we went there at 6 in the morning to watch the sunrise and it was magical 😍 I have never been any beach before. Everything seemed so perfect to me although the weather was little cold and windy.

This is an amazing park! Wildlife in the marshes, a natural beach (not a place for a “pure beach experience “ but definitely adequate), a sandbar that appears at low tide to connect to an island, good snack shack, nice boardwalks through the marsh.

Love this place! So serene. Its different everytime I frequent depending exactly where the tide is and what's growing.

Amazing beach. So clean, so beautiful!! Make sure you bring sunscreen and shade if you burn easy as there is no shade anywhere on the beach. Low tide exposes a sand bar path to the island. If you need a beach day you need to go here. Super easy to get to from I95 just follow the signs

One of the best state parks in Connecticut, quite underrated. To this place is beautiful to visit. Also may visit during sunset, however exit closes 1 hr after sunset, so don't get locked out.

I seriously couldn't believe I was in CT, let alone Milford. This place is gorgeous. Walking the boardwalk is like walking through a postcard. The actual beach has beautifully updated bathrooms, changing rooms, food available for sale, and full outdoor seating/benches etc. Lifeguards looked alert as well

I’ve traveled here many times and it’s always beautiful and well-kept! The park has a wonderful boardwalk that is great for getting a lot of exercise. The views of the ocean and marsh are very photogenic while you are walking. My favorite landmark is the large exotic-looking tree growing out of the jetty (the one in my photo).

This is my favorite place to snorkel, the water is relatively calm and you are able to walk out pretty far during low tide. Cost for out of state residents is $22 Ample parking Rest rooms and porta pottys Food is available and the fries are pretty good. There is a boardwalk that gives access to another beach next to silver sands as well, very easy to walk on I love it here!

This was the best beach I visited in CT. Beautiful bridge walkways with restrooms, food, etc. Nice rock areas to spot wild sea life and also longgg white beaches! The south beach area has parking, pier, volleyball, and kayak rental to reach the island. Yes, there is actually an island out from the beach that can be accessed certain times/month by foot in the shallows. We went during high tide but they have a posting with detailed info and time when this can be done!

We stopped here on our way home to Wisconsin from our road trip to Maine, it was amazing, clean, the bathrooms were closed unfortunately but it's cooler now so it was expected. The out houses could be much cleaner.... other than that it was so fun. Well be back 😀

Unique beach experience. Worth visiting if you're in the area. Clean changing and rest rooms. Long boardwalk if you want to walk but not get sandy. The best part was the number of shells. Piles and piles of shells. Wear appropriate footwear!

Lots of parking available. Nice and clean beach..lots of parking available . The path to Charles island clears during low tides and it’s wonderfull to see. You walk on a path of pebbles and there is a lot of seashells that you will see as well. You can spend the whole day by this place.

Amazing wildlife sanctuary with so many different bird species including the adorable piping plovers, terns, and a few other species on the beach side of the reserve. (Note for those planning on hiking the peninsula reserve that is fenced off where the plovers lay eggs, depending on what time of day you come, the tide might rise fairly quickly, so you may need to hike back through the road to get to the parking lot, but it's not that much further at all, and definitely worth the experience, (just watch out for the terns who might divebomb you as they are protecting their nests and do not realize you are just there to photograph or admire them, so please do not try to throw anything at them if they divebomb you, pro tip, wearing a hat backwards might help)

Absolutely loved exploring this place! Great views of the ocean and lots of walking space. The ladies that worked inside the building were so knowledgeable about all the different plant and animal species. They even took one of the turtles out of the tank to walk around by us. My friends and I had such a fun time. Great hidden gem outside of New Haven, CT!

Great place to bird watch, take a small hike, or just catch some fresh air. The Housatonic River and Long Island Sound make it picturesque and attract many cool birds and animals.

My visit was not at all enjoyable. You can use a wheelchair but you cannot ride a bike there. There are no dogs allowed. During my short walk from the parking lot to the birdbath I had to a stop twice for a bicyclist to pass. Which was fine with me. But I was asked to leave because of my service dog. How is this a public place for everyone except those with service animals?

I visited on a chilly, windy but bright sunny morning and it was beautiful! The center was closed, but the walk about the area and on the beach was very peaceful. Lots of birds to enjoy and the crunch of seashells underfoot was very pleasant!

Went thinking I'd get in a good walk on a different stretch of sand & discovered a little gem of a place! We were able to spot a couple piping plover chicks while walking the beach, thanks to some volunteers that told us what to look for. There is a parking lot next to the Audubon building & a viewing platform near the marsh where the purple martin nests ate (you can sponsor a best!). There are information signs at various locations outside & inside has some tanks with various marsh critters ( turtles, crabs n little fish), a little bit of interactive stuff for the kiddos, a few telescopes so you can get a better look at the osprey nest & other birds. There was a volunteer inside that also was a wealth of information, bathrooms (we stayed longer than expected so that was a relief) & souvenirs can be had. Unfortunatly, but for obvious reasons dogs are not allowed.They rely on donations if you're so inclined.

Great place to walk along the beach and watch wildlife. The Audubon center has: restrooms; gift shop, taxidermy exhibit, aquariums and observation area with telescopes.

Stumbling upon this nature center and bird sanctuary was quite the delight!

Nice little spot for coastal nature trails and bird watching. On one side, it overlooks the Charles E. Wheeler Wildlife Management Area, and on the other side the Long Island Sound. The center wasn't open when I went, but the trails and observation deck were lovely.

Beautiful place to visit especially on a quiet day. There is an education center that rehabilitates animals as well as a path way to the beach. The best part is an observation center that allows you to see the beautiful vista. Simply breathtaking. This place is a must see to enjoy nature.

A hidden little gem with due especially to its unexpected location. This Logsdon is for nature lovers. They have indie areas for educational proses and some live titles and such. Also an indie observation area to sit in front of a huge window and use their binoculars and such if you didn't bring your own. Look for the different birds, crabs, turtles, etc. There's a observation deck outside above it as well. Outside there are garden trails and big areas and beach. All part of the nature preserve. Respect the land! Save the wildlife!

Nestled between the Housatonic River and Long Island Sound this sanctuary host many species of birds. Piping Plovers nest on the beach. There are several Osprey nest which can be viewed from the observation deck.

My experience with Port Milford has been good. The employees are knowledgeable and friendly (I've been known to get chatty!). I haven't needed to go elsewhere for engine work or other yearly maintenance. Looking forward to another great season!

My experience with Port Milford in 2020 was a disaster. They hauled my sailboat for what I thought would be routine maintenance. Wash and wax was done promptly. Hull looked great. Topside not as good. The rest of my experience with Port Milford went down hill. They replaced rusted and corroded parts I didn't request and had previously been operational. I trusted there word. Some engine parts took months to get from manufacturer. Communication from Port Milford was poor Many delays. Engine was working before it was tuned up. The boat was never launched in Summer 2020 because Port Milford had not completed repairs. When I was told some things were completed, I discovered that hoses and clamps were not attached as it should have been when work is completed. I feel the quality of work and communication from the current management does not compare to the professionalism of the former management and other marinas I have worked with. By late August/early September, I learned the Port Milford never started the engine in April to diagnose any issues. I was told I should buy a new diesel inboard engine. They would not rebuild engine nor recommend a rebuild mechanic though they swapped out a number of old parts for new ones. Again, the boat was working the year before including my starting it in winter (which I have done on this boat and others for 30 years). I had them return my boat to the water in December 2020. At that point, the engine was not fully reassembled as promised and expected. Had to have another mechanic finish the assembly I have lost faith in Port Milford.

Had port Milford put two new out drives on my boat in August 2019. They stated they needed to do a complete job and be very thorough so they needed to replace everything and anything related to the outdrives as well. The job came to $14,000 and they had the boat approximately two months. We left with the boat after paying iand the outdrives started acting up two weeks later. We put seven hours on them. Season came to an end and we drydocked the Boat. In April 2020 we put the boat back in the water after having the engines tuned up and the oil changed and what not we did everything that needed to be done. Our mechanic told us the outdrives are no good. Port Milford came out and inspected it and agreed told us they needed to take the boat back and we would have it in the water two weeks.Not to worry it will be covered under third warranty . Not only did they have the boat six weeks but the job that they said would be covered through warranty ended up costing us 4000 additional dollars. Come to find out they never replaced the gimbal bearing when they did the original job. The gimble bearing is a related part. They stated that they oiled it. This caused the drives to go into failure . They covered the drives themselves but charged $4000 for the labor and the gimbal bearing as well as 2 throttle cables which we did ask them to do so we were expecting a job with the cost of at most 1000 dollars realizing that they’re severely overpriced there. They even charged us to haul the boat in and out of the water. Port Milford recently sold the original family is no longer involved be leery of having your boat serviced with them their communication is horrible they do notkeep you posted on anything you will have to contact them and hope for a callback.I recommend Milford boat works just two minutes away We used port Milford thinking that the original owners were still there and we knew the quality of their work and reputation. This New port Milford management in the words of their own mechanic “don’t know what their doing “. Apparently they don’t communicate with their mechanic either as they had the boat dropped in the water without completing the job and had to pull it back out take the drives back off and then put them back on after they did the cables because they forgot forgot to relay the message about the cables to him. After we reminded them two days before the drives were put back on to do the throttle cables. What a fiasco! if you drive by and pull into the lot you’ll see about five employees walking around aimlessly maybe with one paintbrush. And when you talk to the service manager Jake don’t expect to get eye to eye contact.

Tribus has been our favorite local brewery since they’ve opened. Phenomenal selection of beers and more recently craft cocktails. Always hosting a wide variety of events with a great atmosphere. From DJs spinning vinyl, Art specific events to wrestling and everything in between. Nice patio area for the summer/fall months as well. ALL ABOUT THE BENJI!

Great brewery. Nice atmosphere. Enjoy trying the rotating selection. Pancakes Social is one of my all-time favorites. Hoping they make that a regular item.

Really great sours - love the Zazz!! It’s a nice space but honestly seems more like a Chuck E Cheese than a brewery. I have two tweens so I certainly not a kid hater but this place is overrun with very small kids. The amount of toddlers was literally insane - all with devices shoved in their faces in a loud adult environment. I would honestly suggest they make the inside 21+. Parents - I get how hard it is when your kids are little trust me i do. But a loud brewery with adult language and conversations is not a place for your babies

Good food, great beer flights or mugs. Great music. Game room inside by clean bathrooms. Had a wonderful time.

What a gem! I was recently in the area looking for breweries to visit and Tribus came up as one of the top spots. The internet was absolutely right. I loved the vibe, beers were great, and food truck was fun. I hope to be back some day. Defensively try Pocket Pickle.

Always a good time at Tribus Beer Co. Tons of beer on tap. There are non alcoholic options available too. Every time I have been to Tribus they have had a food truck outside and they do a great job of listing them on their social media and their website. The back room (when not booked for private parties) has a ping pong table to use. The front bar area has plenty of seating and there is a large expanded area “outdoors” which is enclosed in the winter and open air in the spring through Fall. The music playing is always upbeat and sets a really great locals vibe. During any visit you will see couples, friends, families and even colleagues meeting up for happy hour. Tribus is an inclusive environment for a great time for all.

Great place for have fun and a good beer!! Indoor and outdoor, same for games. There have so many games and local beer and seltzer. Nice staff!

Possibly the nicest brewery in the state. We finally got to stop in last night (Sunday night) and I am so glad that we did. It was a nice cool night and all of the doors were open. Great open air vibe. I am personally not a football fan but they had TV's everywhere which was cool. Looking around the brewery, you can definitely tell that care was taken and they did a good job of using every available space. The beer was great and the staff was friendly and helpful. It got crowded and they handled the line like it was nothing. I never had to wait for a beer. If I could critique anything it would be that they don't offer chips as a snack option. To be fair, they did have a charcuterie tray BUT it would have been nice to have some potato chips available.

Awesome environment with some great staff. My wife and I had a really nice talk with Sean (Manager). Their beers were top notch and their anniversary IPA (One) was a real homerun. We tried One on the day it was released and I had to pick up a bunch to share... along with a bunch of their other brews as well.

Great spot. Delicious beers. Truly one of the best breweries we’ve experienced in New England. Will definitely be back.

Now they are only open on Friday and Saturday. I don't know why they bother to open at all. Stopped by earlier to get tomatoes . The lady at the counter said they had some yesterday but they ran out. I'm guessing they are not even growing their own tomatoes anymore. Very disappointed. I always looked forward to getting fresh vegetables every summer at Treats. Just a memory.

Loved the Treat Farm since the mid 50's. I went to kindergarten at Seabreeze school. It was right next to the Treat family House. That is where I met Virginia, (Ginny), Treat. She was the sweetest little lady I had ever met. I think I was 5. But I never forgot Her, Or her Dad. I picked strawberries and beans for him. He was tough, but fair! Miss those days. Just a beautiful store and grounds. We really noticed the beautiful variety of perennials and purchased several that lasted and look amazing in our yard. Great selection of farmers market goods. Employees were even extra kind to young moms with toddlers in tow.

Great place for plants. They are a little more expensive than other places BUT the quality of the plants is well worth it. Their flowers are always healthy and having several greenhouses provides a nice selection. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. They are always willing to help and lend advise. Beautiful flowers, healthy vegetable plants, quality dirt/mulch, and a nice farmers market on site. A place I look forward to hitting every Spring and Summer.

I didn’t want to leave! So many things to look at, I want all of it! Absolutely beautiful garden center, I promise you will not be disappointed. It was our 1st time, and we’re already planning our next trip!

Very disappointed. We pulled up and listened to a worker having a fit over what her manager had requested of her. Kind of spoils the customer experience. Go back to basics. Get a grip. Good selection and reasonable prices.

First time shopping at Robert Treat Farm. Friendly and nice selection of fresh vegetables, fruit, plants, and baked goods. Pricing was fair! I would definitely shop there again when in the Milford, CT area.
