Minamiawaji is a city in the southern part of Awaji Island in Hyōgo Prefecture, Japan. As of 1 June 2022, the city had an estimated population of 45,489 in 19856 households, and a population density of 200 persons per km². The total area of the city is 229.01 square kilometres. Wikipedia.

Another beautiful spot on Awaji Island. People tend to stay on the tollway to get on the bridge, but why not take a break here, enjoy the views and the good dishes?

Good place to visit have a very nice view of Ōnaruto Bridge. We visit there for their famous Fugu meal course. The Fugu is being farm-growth in Naruto and require 3 years to be matured. Very tasty and they have 3 different set course for your choice too. Staffs are so friendly and teach us how to eat and pair with the sauce provided👍

Not only is this place a good rest area, there is also a souvenir shop here which sells mostly the main products of Awaji Island which is onion. There are also other products here that is non onion relation. If you get hungry, you can also eat at the restaurant found in this place.

Has a nice walk down to the sea under the Naruto bridge. Also is home to the famous Awaji burger shop which has won several, national awards. Was incredibly busy when we visited during Golden Week so the line for the burgers was long which kind of soured me against them. They were good but not great. The shop offers a lot of souvenir choice for local produce but is all quite expensive (as all michinoeki are). Nice place to stop off for a quick look around if you're in the area and a good place to leave your car and go for a bike ride.

A lovely place for a whole day visit with kids 💕 It's vast and mostly open - too hot for summer and ideal from Autumn to Spring. Under roof: workshops, Koala, rabbits and guinea pigs, green house with 🦎🐢🌴, shuttle train, food. Good for walking, running, playing outside 🏃‍♀️. Perfect place for special occasions. A bit of everything everywhere: animals 🐎 🐑 🐹 🐇 🐨 🦘 🐢 🦎 and flowers here and there, beautiful views and scenery, workshops: making bread, candles, woolen toys; harvesting 🍓🍅🍆🥔, Swan boats 🦢 (roof protects from sun/ rain), go-karts 🚘 for 2 people (140cm and above can drive themselves, below 140 are passengers only), other amusement activities for little ones and adults; food, drink vending machins, toilets everywhere. Connecting cute shuttle train. The prices are reasonable as it goes to taking care of animals and a vast territory, you can just pick up and pay for what you are interested the most 👍.

Very wide area, and relaxing atmosphere. I had fun meeting with many cute friends, even the funny ones that lay in the bathtub for hours (Kappibara) it's a place to go and enjoy once in a while away from the big cities.

Awaji Farm Park England Hill is a nice tourist place, specially if you want to spend some good times with your family and kids. Entry ticket is not expensive. You can enjoy mini zoo, beautiful landscaping, boat riding etc. There are farming place may be you you can enjoy the farming, but I am not sure how to contact to enjoy farming. I saw many visitors with their kids are enjoying the farm activities there. It's a really nice place.

Everything falling in pieces. It's so bad maintained that I had fear to enter the main building. Rust everywhere and a stair that seems to fall upon you head anytime. Bad tasting ice cream. Stay far from here. Serious.

A hilltop where can oversee the bridge from a distance. Free parking. The souvenir shop sells lots of “awaji onion” related products. Onions planted in this area are more sweet and less spicy. The hamburger booth next to the parking lot is famous in Japan, so I had to wait in a line for 20 mins to enjoy this gourmet. Overall it’s worth to spend few hours at here if you never came before.

This place is worth 6 star rating. It sits on top of the mountain and the view is great. The shop is dedicated to onions. The most of important part of all the is selfie with the giant onion. You can get the fake wig from the building and put on your head and take selfie with the onion. I promise you this is one the best and hilarious photo of your life! each time my family look at this photo we laughed. This Japanese humor at its finest. I also bought onion soup here which tasted great. A MUST MUST VISIT! you will thank me for it.

This place is cute and very iconic, with a clear theme - onion. It gets very busy and crowded during weekends and holidays and the food options are quite limited- of you're hungry and don't have a lot of time on your hands I would recommend somewhere else. Also there is no cafe shop there which is a shame.

got almost everything regarding the onions of awajishima. There were real onions (of course), burgers made with onions, pianos covered with onion stickers, onion gachas, onion breads, onion jams, onion tables… Unless you are allergic to onion, I am sure there are something that could please everyone. There are many people so you might have to wait in queue but it was worth the waiting for me.

This is the place where you should definitely stop by if you have a chance to go to somewhat rural area in Kansai region. Full of nice food. But you should be aware it gets super crowded especially on weekends.

That place is awesome in everything. A must visit in Awaji. Very well maintained, splendid view of the island. The best food in all Awajima. The restaurant at the second floor is a little pricey but worth every yen you spend there. Awajima burger is delicious. The whole place is warm and you can spend good time with your partner. Recommend to buy the spice too.

Came here during sunset for the sun setting on onion shot. Super cold and windy! Remember to grab some props from indoors to take photos with giant onion! As it was closing, we didn't get to try the burgers there!
