We didn't expect much, but apparently it was quite a good call to get there. There are tours all the time so just get there and you'll get the tour, not expensive. It lasts about 40 minutes and you go from site to site with the guide where he explains what was shot in the area and when and maybe some more interesting details. It's mostly outside, so be prepared for the heat!

As we stepped onto the sprawling studio lot, I was immediately transported into the magical world of cinema. Walking past iconic sets that had graced the silver screen, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and nostalgia.Exploring the behind-the-scenes areas and learning about the filmmaking process added depth to my appreciation for the artistry that goes into bringing stories to life on screen. As I posed for photos in front of famous backdrops and imagined myself as a character in my favorite films. The studio offers guided tours in English. Parking is ample available.

It's not Universal Studios, but still, a very nice place which is worth a visit with plenty of interesting sceneries to check out.

If you’re a movie fan, this place will be fun for you. Not as high tech as Universal Studios in SoCal, but then not as expensive. Scenes from several movies including, Gladiator, Game of Thrones, Disney’s Aladdin, Passion of Christ, The Kingdom of Heaven, and many more have been filmed here since 1987. Our guide was great. He did the tour in Spanish, English and French!

We visited the Studios November 2022. It was a lovely visit. The tickets weren't particularly expensive and you get to go about with the guide who shares interesting facts about the films made there and asks to guess the scenes from the films based on the displayed props. The tour is wonderful as the guide even involves the group into enacting some scenes from some famous films. We were amazed how many scenes from famous films have been made there. Truly amazing. Another interesting and rather bizarre things - you are allowed to go close and touch the props. It definitely makes the experience a lot more real. Once the tour is finished, you are allowed to venture around and have another look. Really nice and non pressured experience to get out once the tour is over. A tiny criticism - it would be great to have some information at each prop /scene to read about/learn the origins as otherwise it feels that we end up missing out some interesting facts. The carpark outside is also roomy for parking. The place is definitely worth a visit.

We really enjoyed our trip here which was hugely because of our guide Karim- he’s magic! If you get to spend the time with him then you’re lucky. Insane knowledge and understated humour whilst letting you take your time to chill and take photos to. It’s an interesting little place. If you’re in the area or close by… visit!

We really enjoyed our tour here! Our guide (I wish I could remember his name! He had a bunch of flag pins on his hat and wore a purple coat) was absolutely fantastic! Honestly my favourite guide for all the tours I did in Morocco (total of 6 guides, so, small numbers I guess but amazing). He spoke fantastic English, was very funny, and was quick to answer any and all questions. The place itself has flush toilets and I think you can get some light snacks at admissions (60MAD per person). The sets were really cool!

Went a few years back and it was neglected. Went today again with a friend and it was a beautiful experience. The guided tour is a very good addition. Learned so much and the guide was very knowledgeable. Absolutely worth a visit. ❤

Cool studio area with lots of different sets. Tours ran every 20 minutes. Definitely not a must-see, but cool to experience if you appreciate film or are a big fan of some of the films that have been shot here. 7/10

We drop by late evening, the ticket counter attendant wasn’t the nicest. Regardless the studio is full of amazing sets from iconic movies. The tour guide made sure to pin point all the important facts about each set we visited. During our visit we got the chance to see the white horses that were used in Game of Thrones, which was neat. It’s a great place to checkout if you’re in town. Only down side was the tour guide not asking for tips when we had already paid our entrance + tour fee.

Bottom line - we had fun. This is an hour and a half tour and costs 80 dirhams per person. The tour goes between locations for different films that were shot in the place or in the area. Really impressive scenery, especially the Egyptian part. Incredibly Instagrammable locations. You can definitely take amazing photos from there. Our guide was wonderful, funny, kind, full of knowledge and also a talented photographer. Tip: Arrive near closing time, both because it's a much more convenient time to walk around in the hot Ouarzazate and because there are far fewer people, which will allow you to hear the guide better and relatively there won't be crowds of people who will get in the way of your photo. I must point out that it is a bit of a mistake that they do not include sound to accompany the tour and I would even add virtual reality. The tour as a tour, is like the old days

This was one of the stops from our excursion. The entrance fee was not included in the price of our excursion so we had to pay eight euros to enter. Some of the sets are quite nice and well decorated. We are not sure if there is always a guided tour however, we were roughly 16 in our group, and had a guide the entire way. The good thing is that we received all the exclamations for the various sets and the downside obviously is that we couldn’t spend too much time in any particular location as the tour continued on. It’s nice to visit if you’re in the area however, we believe that visiting Ait Benhaddou is more cultural and interesting to discover. We imagine this spot great for families visiting with kids.

What an exciting place to visit out in the middle of the desert. Enormous amounts of movies have been filmed here. See my list I posted in pictures. The guides are informative in multiple languages inc English French German (others too) of course Arabic. Rather large town with varied quality and price available.

Nice and interesting experience, especially if, like me, you're into film and cinema. It's very affordable and definitely worth it. I think all the entitled, unfair, douchy negative reviewers on here should get real. Yes, a tour guide is required, but so what? After the tour's over, you're free to walk around, explore, and closely examine the props, and at least there's some order and structure. In our case, the tour guide did a phenomenal job. He was very well-informed, polite, with a good command of English, and creative. We even filmed a quick choreographed version of a commercial he came up with, along with the other tourists, and he did a pretty good job.

Nice studio where a lot of famous movies have been shot. The studio sends a Guide along to show the place. Our guide spent about half an hour with us and asked us to see the rest on our own. We offered him a tip and he rudely said that we should give him minimum of 5 USD. Never expected such behavior. Liked the Egyptian Pillars and the Sphinx the most.

Fun place to stop and take photos with sets scene in many movies and tv shows. The tour guides are great and the kids were incredibly entertained with getting to interact with all the sets.

Tourist trap. Boring tour guide is required. They repeat everything in four languages so the tour is both uninteresting and content light and slow. The content is all along the lines of "who recognizes this set from Gladiator." Or "this set was used in the french version of Hercules." There was zero actual content about the making of movies or interesting tidbits about the movies filmed there or the actors or other workers. Just walking around dusty old props and sets. You will never get these precious 90 minutes of your life back

If you are In Ouarzazate then it’s worth taking time out for, not to travel to. Our tour was made by our young guide. He was knowledgeable, confident and made the tour fun by participation, involving the group in short movie making. We laughed and had fun which in my opinion made the tour. Kingdom of Heaven set can be seen in distance from studios and to visit you need to buy an extra ticket which we didn’t do. You can walk or drive to it and were discouraged as we didn’t have a 4x4 but on inspection I think we could have driven it in a normal car.

I'm not really a movie person and I was quite sceptical about doing a tour here. But I really enjoyed it. Our guide was excellent, informative and amusing. He had an iPad and showed real film scenes that had been shot in the place you were standing. Lots of other info on the use of CGI, mirrors, etc in particular scenes. He also made a couple of mini movies using the people in the group and gave info on how to use the light and how to make things look bigger or smaller. I'm usually annoyed when guides ask for tips at the end of a tour, but on this occasion I happily paid.

Another fantastic stop on our tour day. This is an outstanding building, in the city of Ouarzazate and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is worth visiting to discover its rich decor.

Beautiful from outside. To go inside, it is 20 dh per person. Not really worth the money.

Stunning architecture in both design and structure, despite the simplicity of building material. Learning about the reasoning for different sized doorways was extraordinarily and surprisingly interesting to me. Would highly recommend a personal guide, who will explain lots of different aspects and provide a lot of information. We paid 200 Dirham for just over an hour’s worth of guide.

It was a very beautiful place! Game of Thrones, Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia was shot in this place. You need to pay attention to your tour guide also. People there are so good at art! There is an entrance fee also!

Nothing special, inside its just a place for souvenirs. But its picturesque and worth a stop en route through town.

It is a vast kasbah, but when we visit when can only visit the relatively "new" side of kasbah which is totally empty and well-painted wall inside... we didn't get to see any of other patterned tiles on walls. 20MAD for entrance, don't ask for guides as there were be too much info from them. The only good thing is that you can get a good palmeraie view from the top.

Many blockbuster films have been shot there. Such as The Gladiator, The Last Temptation of Christ and The Mummy to name a few! Very well worth seeing.

As in the museum opposite you have the impression of being in the film "Fort Sagan". What I can't understand is why the Casbah on the left is completely abandoned, what are the Moroccan archaeological services doing which seems ghostly?

Amazing architectural structure, worth visiting and checking all the intricate rooms and towers designs. Better go with a guide and pay attention to not get lost in the many staircases and doors inside. You can buy paintins and take photos of the nice surrounding views.

Kids free, adults 40 each. Good value. Highlight is the view from the roof. The older parts are currently closed, thus 4 stars. Nice markets for gifts nearby. Definitely worth seeing if in the area.

This little casbah is nice and well mantained. Don't miss the nearby castle: from the roof top you can enjoy a nice view of the sourronding country and city. Only one pithy in this nice scenery: is difficult to avoid in your photo the presence of a couple of big cell phone towers ridcously dressed as palm tree. In front the musee of cinema, well worth a visit , expecially if you have children

I have to be honest, it was the worst ever Tagine I have eaten so far in Morocco over the years. We ordered Harira soup and received something with no taste and certainly no harissa paste inside. Tagine was tasteless and would not recommend the place for food. I gave 3 starts for the view of the Oazis.

Beautiful place, but unfortunately you will be dogged by a "guide" who will not take no for an answer. If you do want a guide, they know lots about the place, having grew up there. They will take you to a café (where they get commissions on sales) or to their friends who sell carpets and such,but please don't be discouraged:it's really worth seeing the first time or two. If you hope to stroll around alone though, forget it.

Lovely place very cosy relaxing and enjoyable....the road down to the village is being upgraded which will make it even better..

It’s a heaven in the middle of a semi-desert. Here you can spot rare birds and flora.

The finnt oasis trip was wonderful place night in berber tent also the guest did enjoy the trip and that's the important. For me 👍👍👍❤❤❤🥰

Fint oasis is one of the great places that you have to visit around Ouarzazate city A smal village with much beautiful views visit that place you will love it 💗

We didn't stay here but visited on the recommendation of our tour company and what a lovely place it is. Definitely a highlight of our Morocco trip. Our driver had never been and was very happy that we'd introduced him to it. A lush oasis and some lovely food overlooking the river.

A beautiful location, authentic in every way! The tajine and all the food was delicious with a beautiful presentation! Everyone who was there working, were kind and helpful, and happy to help you in every way. The rooms are modest and clean, with a private bathroom. The best part was the music and dancing after dinner! Spectacular!

The oasis is stunning when you first arrive and see the tall lava mounts and the river bed sided by palm trees and luxurious nature. But as you get closer and start approaching, you realise that you can only walk in the dry river bed as gardens are private and not accessible, so you are suffocating under the overwhelming heat and no shade. After walking 1 hour you get in the village which has no shops, no cafes, nothing but a restaurant and unfortunately rather filthy streets. Quite disappointing and more much nicer places around.

The whole of Fint Oasis is stunningly beautiful and a must see if you are anywhere near here in Morocco. Also, the Hotel/Restaurant/Tea House has wonderful views over the valley and is a great place for a glass of mint tea!

Beautiful spot in the middle of the Moroccan Sahara. Plenty of wildlife, sand lizards, birds, fish, frogs. Gorgeous scenery.

visited in 2014 a run down but interesting place to spend a couple of hours and the list of notable films made here is surprising. Unfortunately a small town with houses has sprung up nearby making filming harder (before CGI)

Needs restore and cleaning. Exhibition is not well maintened. Although the visit to the castle will give something extra and also the entrance is kind cheap so it worth the stop.

I had big plans to visit this place but I was very disappointed when I found it closed due to lack of visitors; Corona effects on the Tourism industry. Though, I didn't miss the chance to take picture in front of the main door. How could I!

You have to come here if you like movies.

Nice place to visit if you have kids. Entrance free has doubled now from 40 to 80dh per person. Kids below five enter for free. The place is in desperate need for some maintenance. Great experience overall

It worth a visit once in the town. You get the chance to see costumes from famous movies and learn some funny information.

One of the most bizarre museums I have ever been to. Rooms upon rooms of cinema sets and props with little-to-no signage. As other reviewers have said, it wouldn't take much to make this museum great, a few more signs with indications of which set was used for what movies. That being said, it was relatively cheap 30 dirham/person) and pleasant to wander around. Just wish I knew what I was wandering through.

Very cool old movie memorabilia. You can walk around and explore as you like. It's a great place for kids to explore and wander around. They have old movie equipment, props, and sets from movies filmed in Ouarzazate.

To see where some epic movies were made was wonderful

It has a huge potential, but unfulfilled. The place is filled with artifacts from movies but they all lack content and locations. It could have easily be an amazing museum if it only had content. In it's current state it's more of a warehouse for old things...

Good museum, no fireworks but if you are in Ouarzazate it’s worth a visit. Nice price especially for students.

Interesting museum to walk around in, we spent less then an hour here. It would be nice if more of the stuff was labelled to know which movies they are attached to or which sets you are looking at. There are some really cool dungeon rooms and throne rooms to see and explore. Lots of amazing movies were made in the area but we didn't see many props or sets for the main movies here, atleast not listed. Still a nice place to visit!

A really fun way to not only see props from movies, but to learn a little about the life of the locals— since the movie industry employs many of the berbere people to be extras and to build the props and buildings. I recommend hiring a guide so that you can actually know what you’re looking at. The guide costs are really reasonable, and worth the extra few dollars. Find them outside the entrance. (If you’re lucky enough to hire Abdoul, you’ll have a great time.)

Nice musea with a lot of movie props. There is no explanation with the movie props. Entrance fee is 30 dhrs. The opening times according to google are until 19.00 but they told us we had to leave at 17.20 because they were going to close.

If you - like me- love cinema, and have not do much time this is a nice place to go and dive yourself in a good number of intetesting sets from many famous film. Manly you'll find a collection of thrones rooms, and of course it is funny to take a photo of your loved one pretending to be the king. There are a couple of studios, famous fir shooting "lawrence of arabia" an gladiator. Needless to say ambientations were traslated here from the original place. But what i loved most was the collection of sedan chairs and above all the display of old cinema apparatus and scene dress at the end. Looking at each old cinema part, you really got the idea how once taking shots with celluloid tapes, cutting them and then reassembling was a true work of art.

Get a guide if you want to know which movie sets the location/items were apart of.

Quite underwhelming, run-down museum without clear direction or description of the exhibitions. Abandoned props and sets. Good for some photos but 30dh for entrance is honestly too much for it's poor-maintained condition. Ladies bathroom was spotless though.

It was an interesting experience and it felt like you are part of a movie but honestly the place needs some renovation. The museum itself has a lot of unique exhibits and can provide you with a very specific experience while traveling through it, but as everything seems abandoned, you feel like you just jumped a fence into an old building and you’re exploring it. Definitely worth the visit for the low price but don’t expect a well set and prepared path to follow.

I believe it is possible to get a tour guide here, however, we did not. We thoroughly enjoyed the museum because we went and made our own little films. On the whole, a great place where you can go and do whatever you want, as no one is around. Can’t give it a five star review though as there is little to no information, so you can’t tell what was used where.
