We had an interesting bus driver from the ship port to Harrison's Cave. He pointed out many things along the way and made the approximately 45 minute ride enjoyable. When we arrived at the caves, a pleasant person greeted us at the bus and divided us into groups, taking us inside the Reception Center. At that time, we had to use our phones to scan a QR code and fill out a waiver. This took some time. We were then escort into another room to wait for the rest of the people on our bus to finish the waivers, and then we watched a movie about the formation of Barbados. After the movie, our tour guide, Carol, let us to our tram. Rico, our tram driver, and Carol took us through the caves. Along the way we made several stops and Carol explained the formation of the caves, how they were discovered, and how they became a tourist attraction. It is very beautiful inside the caves and we enjoyed our time there. Rico is a very good driver and Carol he's a pleasant and interesting guide. I'm not sure we would return the next time we are in Barbados, but we're glad we went.

Staff is friendly and great tour for the Cave ride! The view was amazing! The rest of the facilities are ok. The trails were a bit too short. They mentioned the expansion of the park with swimming pool will be completed next year. That will definitely make the place more interesting!

Great history during the tour! Lots of things to do here, and great photo opportunities. We had our whole family come here. And there is a fountain of youth so put that nice, refreshing water all over!

This was my very first trip to Barbados, so I was very happy when our group decided to visit Harrison’s Cave. We visited this establishment on Saturday, September 2, 2023. There were a lot of attendees there on that date, so the registration and waiver process took a little longer than I expected. The lobby area is nice. There are seats available, a restroom, and various pictures around the walls and roof area. There is also a rum shop and a gift store in the lobby area, so we entertained ourselves while we awaited the beginning of our tour. There is an initial video that we needed to watch before we could begin our tour. It took roughly 8 minutes and was very informational. As a guide walked us through the facility to the area where our tour would begin, I enjoyed watching all of that beautiful scenery and activities along the way. I was a bit surprised that we had yet another video to watch before we could get our tour started. Although the video was also informative, I could tell that this was unexpected by a lot of the attendees, because we were all anxious and ready to get started with the actual tour. Once that second video was finished, and we were finally taken to the tour area where we got our helmets, the real thrill and excitement began. Our tour guide, Che, and his driver, Rico, provided us with an informational and entertaining experience as we rode the tram down into the body of the cave. The cave is absolutely breathtaking with its natural beauty. It was a little bit daunting knowing that we were going underground through a cave; however, it was well worth it. Not only did we see families of stalactites and stalagmites, we also saw streams and pools as well as other crystalline type objects. We even saw a pool with quicksand below it. The actual cave tour took about 40 minutes. It would have been good if we had a little more time to really take it all in, but it was enjoyable nonetheless. I highly recommend it not only for first time visitors like me, but also any natives that have not yet had an opportunity to explore this. I am giving this park 4 stars instead of 5 stars because I think there should be consideration in consolidating the video-watching periods instead of splitting it up into two separate time points. It makes the attendees lose some of their motivation and at that point, it tends to feel more like an annoyance than an opportunity to learn valuable information. The goal should be for the maximum time spent doing the actual tour itself.

Who would have thought that there's such a beautiful cave in the Caribbean? In a desolate island which was just formed 60.000 years ago? The Park itself is very nice, it has a zip line, bird aviary with a nice collection of birds. Macaws, peacocks, pigeons, chickens and surprisingly a tortoise! The cave is amazing, you learn a lot about stalactites and stalagmites. Do you know which is which? 😉 The guide and driver (Andre) were really totally cool!! In fact Andre helped us with some of the most amazing family photos that we had over the Park. If you are stopping by Barbados, I recommend it highly, you won't be disappointed. We were guided by Chukka, the reception guy named Neil was so helpful and kind. The driver named Peter was like a Barbados version of Wikipedia. He knows every tree, every beach and every place along with the history! Wait till you see the Baobab tree!!

Awesome day spent at Harrisons cave! The park was gorgeous, with zip lines, pools, nature walks, an aviary, and the Green Monkey bar and grill has wicked meals and delicious drinks. We did they cave tours, and it was incredible. Gabriel was an awesome tour guide, and the tour of Harrison was super cool. You get quick run through of the geological history of Barbados, and then they take you down 160 below ground through beautiful rock formations. Just remember, DO NOT TOUCH!!

Very fun Experience. Should your travels take you there it's a must see... spectacular. However bring your time. While the tour of the cave is about 40 minutes, the wait time is about 1 1/2 until you get to the trolly. They seem to be a bit in there own world. Still glad that we took the tour

Outstanding experience! Chuck Tours, who now operates the cave, has several packages. The one we experienced included St Nicholas Abbey, with train ride and Harrision's Cave with lunch. It was the best tour we experienced in four trips to Barbados. The Cave is amazing and very professional with experienced personnel on an electric tram. The ride is approximately 1 mile one way and over 100 below the starting elevation. Go, you will enjoy.

This place is Amazing, and I will highly recommend it to any and everyone visiting Barbados. I was truly amazed by how Harrisons Cave was. I took the cave tour and was 100% satisfied, the tour guide were very good at their jobs.

Absolutely a must visit when you’re in Barbados. The tour on the tram was pretty unique. The tour guide Hyacinth was really knowledgeable and funny too. Had a great time!

Truly amazing, a must see once in Barbados. Hyacinth and Peter our guide and driver did an excellent job keeping us entertained and information on the cave. The Zipline and Eco Adventure is an added bonus. Had lunch after at the restaurant food was great. Would visit again once in Barbados. You can purchase tickets at the caves.

Nice for a day excursion. The caves are toured with a quick tram ride and several photo opportunity spots. The main area is hot, be ready for that and pack accordingly. Aerial courses are good fun and the top pavilion is informative.

We went for our sons 7th birthday and it was amazing. An incredible experience to see the cave topped off by the staff getting everyone to sing happy birthday to him. Highly recommended for all the family.

Loved visiting this place and learning of the history and importance to the country. I felt like I was in a museum reliving history. Tour guides are very good and facilities are great as well.

Such a beautiful and well run eco-tourism spot! I’ve been to the cave before and this experience was even better with all the new additions like the bird sanctuary and restaurant. The Zip lining looks fun too but I didn’t do that. Would highly recommend.

This place gives you a great historical geological understanding of the island of Barbados. The tour takes you into the underground and a clear understanding of why the water tastes so good and is safe to drink. There's more here than just the cave. BTWn it's a tram tour, so little walking is required.

Excellent trip out on a very wet day. The cave is well worth a visit. The cafe at the end does really good fish cutters and chicken wraps too.

Tour of the cave was captivating, educational and fun. The guides were engaging, personable and genuine. They made the experience enjoyable and worthwhile. Although there was a little mix-up with our reservation, the hostess took quick action to rectify.

Just visited today since the new attractions, but I have been in previous years. Did the cave tour and zip lining, also ate in the cafe by the pool. It was a little hectic when we arrived without pre booking. Highly recommend booking in advance. Getting booked at the front desk was very slow. A very nice reception. The staff at the cafe are very friendly; there is a good varied menu including vegetarian options; the food was tasty and did not take long. Onto the Cave tour. There was a 10 minute video presentation about Barbados. This was very well produced. Down to cave and another 9 minute video presentation about the formation of Barbados- again very informative. Then a short word about conduct and safety in the Cave. Onto the Cave tram and the tour guide talked about the cave - very informative. A young cave by international measure, but so very beautiful and magical. Two stops to exit the tram and take photos. The tour was about 40 minutes. Next was the zip lining. We were late from the Cave and the zip crew were packing up for the day, it was also raining heavily. However the crew could not have been more helpful. We contemplated aborting the zip lining due to the rain. And did have a discussion with the reception about perhaps doing it on another day without losing our payment. They did say this was an option. However as the rain eased we decided to push forward. The crew could not have been more helpful engaging and fun. The circuit is five legs, with varying length and height. There is also a shop to buy souvenirs and some small kiosk at the bottom. All in all a very nice venue, with things to do - one could certainly spend a good day there.Very highly recommended.

It was beautiful but overrated. The tram ride was about 30-40 minutes, including 2 stops for 5 minutes. I'm not sure if it's worth the money. We loved the bird aviary.

My family really enjoyed Harrison's Cave. It's really more than just the cave tour now. There's a beautiful garden with benches, swings, and a Bird Sanctuary where you can feed and hold birds. My kids really enjoyed it. In the lobby, there is a rum experience exhibit and a Mount Gay rum bar. I remember coming here in 2015, and there was nowhere near the amount of things to do then as there are now. It's also under construction with more attractions to come. I can't wait to come back when the additional attractions are complete.

If you are a local or a tourist Harrison's Cave is a great place to try. Besides having their signature tram tours, they also have zip lining, obstacle course and rum tours available. That's not all! If you love birds there is an open aviary around the back, you can enter and feed them. Peacocks and pigeons are on site. The Harrison's Cave also provides vendor huts (bar included) where you can have your refreshments and snacks when you are finished. A pool is available as well. If you want to grab a souvenir or two, on your way back up there is in the foyer an are which sells cups, shirts, snacks and souvenirs that you can buy. Did I mention how friendly the staff are?! 😃 They are superfriendly! Willing to take photos with you and you can definitely tell they enjoy what they do.

Love this place! They were behind in the timing of the tour however you can walk around and look at the many birds and even go in there and feed them (with supervision of course). Definitely worth it! Get the Bajan chips down at the restaurant, they're really good!

Overall our visit here was disappointing which is a shame to say as the Caves were exceptional and are really worthwhile visiting. It was what we were promised around it which was a real let down. We were told of a 'nature trail' which was a slow 10 minute stroll along a concreted path between cultivated plants and also a 'rum experience' which was a few noticeboards detailing the history of rum. The venue also links itself to being eco friendly which jarred with how they cared for their parrots. Two were housed in a relatively small cage, which they certainly couldn't fly in and there was absolutely nothing to stimulate them.

The caves were cool, but it was a tour on a tram-like vehicle in an over manufactured cave. I was disappointed by how commercialized it was. You start out in a universal studio-like entrance with paths that are so manufactured, it's a bit sad to see nature molded this way.

A must see, they take you on a train/wagon type thing like in roller coasters. The ride is quite mild but expect to get some water drippings on you (they provide a hair net). We went with a 5 month old baby, everyone loved it and we had so much fun, highly recommend for all ages. The staff were a laugh, very friendly and accommodating.

Spectacular garden Oasis in need of a few upgrades. This place is truly amazing. I loved the scale and ambiance of this place. The statues hidden among the plants were a nice touch together with the relaxing music. However, toilets were run down and so were some of the picnic areas. You are free to walk with your picnic if you wish but we thought the areas weren't food friendly enough for our liking so ate in the car. Mr Hunte is so remarkable and such a kind host and makes the experience memorable. Overall, I would recommend as a welcomed change of pace in Barbados if you had enough beach vibes and need a nice garden escape.

The best place we visited in Barbados. Stunning gardens with hidden seating areas. A small paradise. The owner, Anthony, was sitting at an open terrace overlooking the gardens. Chatting, serving us with delicious lemonade and home.made carrot cake. Stunning place!

A really nice spot to go see while in Barbados. The gardens are lush and vibrant with some peaceful meditation music playing throughout. There are stairs to navigate you through the garden so if you have mobility issues this could be challenging. My 78 year old mother was able to walk through the park with plenty of railings and my arm when she needed it so it's not impossible. There is also a small gift shop where Mr Hunte himself has residence there and will greet you pleasantly. While there you can enjoy a drink of local spirits or cocktails. I would probably recommend taking a taxi there as it's a bit tricky to find and the roads going there can be challenging if you're not used to narrow winding roads and especially if you're not used to driving right hand drive cars. I highly recommend this place.

Just an amazing place to be. Not just because of the gardens which are superb, but also the hosting by the garden’s owner, Mr (Anthony) Hunte. It was a delight to speak with him and soak up the whole place. My favourite bench is the very last one overlooking the whole garden, very peaceful. Long way this place continue to be so superb.

A beautiful lush oasis, with plenty of seats to sit and relax as you wander through the thick vegetation. Sit and watch humming birds and spot the giant millipedes and lizards as you wander around. After that sit and have a chat with the owner who is great for a story and a shot of Rum

This was such an amazing experience. The gardens are absolutely beautiful. Anthony, the owner, has done such an amazing job to creating this enchanting botanical garden. After you relax, you can then hang out with him and have a cocktail while you listen to the birds and the wind blow through the trees.

It's always a great pleasure to visit this amazing space. Meeting the owner and chatting over a rum punch is a good way to round the visit off too. The gardens are beautiful and tranquil. Take a walk around, take a picnic and/or take a book and just chill. This was our third visit over the years and it just gets better. Hope the photos do it some justice.

Hunte Garden is stunning, simply stunning. If you love plants and nature, this place will be paradise. The owner is usually present and he's a lovely man. Definitely visit.

My first time visiting Hunte’s Gardens and I was extremely impressed! They are very mature gardens with well thought out spaces to relax and sit, and have a picnic even. The owner is approachable, friendly and very knowledgeable. I also like that you can purchase many local products there. A wide variety of items some that I haven’t come across readily in some places examples books on Barbados.

Absolutely beautiful! The grounds are so beautiful, tranquil and peaceful! We all loved going there and will return!

My Husband and I first visited in 2007 and again in 2012. On our visit in July 2023 the gardens are so spectacular, peaceful and calm. It's absolutely beautiful and well maintained.

Gorgeous garden built in a sink hole of a collapsed cave. Besides the numerous types of flowers, plants and birds (eg. Green-throated hummingbirds), there’s also a bar where you can enjoy a drink. The garden has plenty benches every few steps so you can relax watching the nature and listening to the birds. The dining room was my favorite! It’s a must see in Barbados! Highly recommend it!

This place is more beautiful than any botanical garden I have been to. It’s a piece of paradise. Very well taken care of, beautiful plants. The owner was very nice and welcoming. Loved the 2 cats roaming the garden.

This garden was absolutely stunning. My family and I were on a 10 day cruise and our taxi driver, Joe mentioned this place was one of the best in the town. I enjoyed the bromeliads and how lush and & green the trees are. 🦋🌺🌼🌴🪴

Gorgeous garden, the best l've seen yet. There are plenty of chairs around to sit and enjoy different views, and a board with all the species so you can take a picture to identify them as you explore. I enjoyed rum punch while speaking with Anthony (and different travelers) for hours until closing. What a time. Anne and Miss Marble the cat were a pleasure as well. I left with 2 bottles of Hunte's Rum, a cute mug, and a few hibiscus from Anthony for hair adornment. Put this on your itinerary when you visit, trust me!

A must-do if you‘re on Barbados! The owner is such an incredibly humble person and it‘s just amazing to listen to his stories. The garden is its own paradise within the paradise of Barbados and you calm down immediately after you enter.

These are beautiful gardens! It was so relaxing and peaceful to walk around looking at all the beautiful plants. The water features and statues were lovely as well. My mom and I visited the gardens a few years ago while on vacation. I know both my mom and I would love to visit again. This was definitely one of the highlights of the trip.

I felt as though I was in another world wondering around the beautiful gardens with the sound of classical music in the back ground. Definitely a not to be missed experience. My only critique was of the rum punches which tasted as though there was no rum in them. Maybe an honest mistake.

A must visit when in Barbados. We went to Mo’s and had barracuda, shrimps, coleslaw and the local mac&cheese pie. I would skip the shrimps as in general fish is much tastier in the island. Music is loud but it’s a really fun atmosphere!

Visited Uncle George's for an evening meal. As always, food was excellent 10/10, customer service very pleasant, from order to being served minimal wait. Daughter had Marlin fish with grilled potatoes, I had shrimps, mac pie and grilled garlic potatoes. 5*

This is a very popular place on a Friday night. The fish is fantastic, I'm not a big fan of fish but the way they cook it tastes great, I even tried Marlin and kingfish, so tasty. Party time if you want it music and dancing outside, great atmosphere.

Loud music but plenty of places to eat. Grab a chair and try to get served. It's great chaos, but a decent, must do, night out. Fine for kids and very safe. Parking just across the road. Cheap beer

A very lively place. The music 🎶 is varied from different platforms. The centre stage has some tribute acts, loved the three Michael Jackson impersonators and of course the Black Panther 'Wakanda' dancer. This is full of energy and so it is just as well that there is plenty of fish 🐟 and chicken 🐔 and other foods cooking 🍳 so you are not hungry. We had a bite at a small restaurant called Good Eats and my o my that red snapper was worth every bite. Part of the walking around requires you buy a souvenir or two or three. There are various curio and crafts around but could be a bit pricey.

We did the fish fry at the market. A must if you're in Barbados but it's extra on Fridays, very busy with lines down the street and lots of music. Right beside a beautiful beach. We went to grab a seat and there was a chicken in my seat and a cat in the other 😂 so the fish fry feeds all!

Friday nights are amazing! Fresh fish cleaned and grilled stating early in the day and into the night. Sides like macaroni pie, steamed vegetables, slaw and much more. Also chicken and pork.

We went here during the day and didn’t eat but we were able to walk out on the jetty. One of the fisherman threw some fish scraps in to draw the turtles which was pretty cool.

Probably one of the best beach places to be on Barbados. Not to crowded in the middle. There you should also go. Don't go on right or left side. Beach lounger incl an umbrella was 15$. So fair pricing. Do not pay 5$ for one coconut but say you want two. Guys might walk away but will come back. 5$ is way to much and they know it🙂

I love come here. The beach is beautiful with many options for adventure. Scuba diving the sunken ships is the most memorable.

Like swimming in a bath. Clear water, sandy beach, tourists and locals chilling. What could be nicer. Lots of fish so bring a snorkel and goggles.

Beautiful white sand bay with crystal clear calm water which was perfect for the kids to swim and snorkel. We were approached by one of the beach vendors who was keen for us to go on his boat to see the turtles and ship wreck, he was friendly and not pushy about it, so we went and had a fabulous time - saw three turtles and snorkelling over the wrecks was amazing - so many beautiful fish, and the wrecks are so shallow you can see so much. They provided the snorkels. Most places along the beach if you pay for a sun lounger will also have wifi available which was also helpful for us.

Lovely clean sand and plenty of sun beds and umbrellas to hire. Bars and cafes behind and service at your sun bed, decadent but rather nice. Close to Bridgetown too, so if you arrive by cruise ship and only have a couple of hours to spare, then this would be ideal

Tbh I preferred pebbles beach in lots of ways.. Carlisle was busy when we went on our boat trip, early on Sunday morning after the horses it was quiet but so quiet that the bars and amenities didn't even seem to be noticeable..this would have been about 9:30/10am Sunday.. even tho we'd made our own way to pebbles earlier in the week I'd used Google to direct me as there was a quicker route from our accommodation tho it (as it does often) landed me on Carlisle beach rather than pebbles as requested.. There were a few families there early and it was obvious that some congregated there but as a tourist having a wander and enjoying the surroundings, I definitely prefer pebbles over Carlisle.. I'm rubbish and failed to see any fishes or anything else tho my daughter had spotted flying fish on our last visit and there were several fishing as I walked past

Beautiful beach. Be careful not to be ripped off by the snorkel tour guys- haggle with them! But nice opportunity to see the shipwreck and turtles. Savvy on the Bay is a great spot to get a drink, have some tacos and take a break from the sun.

Fine white sand, awesome warm blue ocean, grills cooking and drinks flowing up behind the beach. Laid back vibe, good time.

Nice beach. Lots of activities to engage in. I wanted to get on a boat ride but i unfortunately couldn’t due to time and some other factors. You get too see local around you can have chats with and ask for directions. Water is crystal clear too!

WOW effect!! expecially if you love free diving and snorkeling... There are 3 different shipwrecks less than 100m from the beach. You can easily find them looking where are all the people from organized tours. If you are able to take deep breath, take it and enjoy the inside of shipwreck!! there're a lot of in&out passages

I went there with my family and had such a wonderful time! The kids especially loved the train ride. If you are into history there is also an option to do a guided tour of the site. As I make gift baskets they also sell unique products that makes great gifts to include, their very own rum and some other local products like pepper sauce and jams. I just love there, the landscaping takes your breath away. They are also located right on the outskirts of our famous Cherry Tree hill, one of the most beautiful views in Barbados.

Quite good but definitely more for the history buffs. I wouldn’t go out of my way to get there. I wish places were better described without needing to look at the map, also distillery itself… we didn’t know exactly where to go and what we’re looking at. It was like 30 mins before closing time but still I expected something more interactive or better described.

If you're a fan of history, trains and rum, you have to book a visit here! Their rums are only available at the Abbey and can't be bought outside Barbados. Even the 5 year 40% rum is delicious! Had a moist and sweet rum cake snack in the café.

If you are visiting Barbados and need a day off of the beach or away from your resort, this is worth considering. This is a nice tour of an old house and its resurrected distillery. Educational and fun with the train ride. The tour is well executed. Rum is decent quality.

This whole tour was definitely the highlight of Barbados. The train was great, beautiful views and some wildlife, and our tour guide at the abbey was fantastic. The rum tasting was also included and that was great as well. Overall is was a beautifully well-rounded tour with sights, history, and entertainment and I highly recommend it.

Beautiful place. Well-kept house. The abbey, train, and its grounds are a fascinating piece of history in paradise. We were so glad to also find that there is an effort being made to make rum through steam powered machines! Very cool!

For $60BBD I did the steam railway tour alone. The steam train itself was cool to see and experience a part of history however the ride itself was very short. The train ride takes you to Cherry Hill where you have a great view of the island coastline. There's a brief stop for persons to toot the horn of the steam train, take photos and help move the locomotive around. I had hoped to see more on the train but I think if you did the combo tour (great house, steam train and distillery $100 BBD) you might have seen more of the train and the property. There's a large parking area on site with bathroom, cafe and gift shop facilities. Staff are friendly and helpful. Walk ins are welcomed however bookings can be made as there are set times for tours. I arrived without reservation however I first checked online to determine if spots were available. Credit cards are accepted for payment.

10/10 a great experience. It’s nice to see the property has been maintained. I recommend doing the full package of train ride and rum tour. Lots of history even a documentary detailing the heritage of the property. There is even an opportunity to buy affordable crafts from local vendors. Also, an option to dine at a nice cafe.

This is review of Distillery Tour at top of the island not the Visitor Centre in town which we found confusing before booking. Wonderful tour with an in depth insight into this working factory. Started with a rum punch on arrival. Romal our tour guide was knowledgeable and humorous which made for a fun tour. Interesting to see the focus on sustainability on site. The tour didn’t feel rushed and we enjoyed the tasting session at the end! Noteworthy point is that we could purchase some bottle items on site but the main shop is located at the visitor centre in Bridgetown, not at the Distillery. Also transportation to the Distillery was included from our accommodation.

Our tour guide could have been a Rhianna stunt double, great knowledge of how Mt. Gay operates in respect to making the rum. Being from Louisville KY we had many questions in the process. We got a bottle of Ponche Kuba creme to take home as it's not available in the states. Great history, great cocktails included in tour as well. We went early on a weekday so small group and no wait

My wife and I did a tour and tasting at the Mount Gay Distillery. It was a short cab ride from the cruise port. The distillery Visitor Center was nice and simple. They provided us with a very tasty rum drink while waiting for the tour to start. Our tour guide was phenomenal. She was funny and very informative.

My rum tour experience was great, I went as part of a birthday celebration. Overall, an informative & fun experience however, The best part to me was the personal cocktail making session👍🏽. After the tour, dinner was also nice, would recommend the experience because it was value for money.

Lovely tour with a quick video about history of Mount Gay, very informative young lady running the tour with a good sense of humour and got to give praise to the v tasty welcome rum punch! The tasting itself was not just delicious but v interesting. Overall great fun!

If you are a rum fan this is a must stop on your visit to Barbados. The visitor center offers a small but great tour as well as rum tasting.

We arrived late due to traffic but the staff was able to reschedule us so we didn't miss our tour. We had booked the basic tour and tasting, which costs about $25. We had a signature rum punch drink while we waited, and there was a kitchen serving delicious food. The tour starts with a small museum which details the history of Mount Gay and then there is a little movie to watch. That's followed by a tasting of four of their rums. The tour guide was very funny and entertaining. The rum was delicious. Afterwards you can hang out and order more cocktails or do some shopping in the gift shop. It takes about an hour and a half to complete the tour

We went into the visitors' centre expecting an old still, some historical photos and a gift shop. There was all that but the tasting experience with such entertaining and knowledgeable guidance was quite a revelation. Rum, I thought, was pretty much just rum. However, being guided through the tasting if several different Mount Gay rums revealed a much more complex world to explore. Educational, tasty and good fun. Well worth a visit

This was not the expected outing when my hotel put on a visit to the mount gay distillery. It feels like a warehouse in the port district however it was better than my expectations. An excellent tour experience with great customer service. A must do activity for any rum lover visiting Barbados. Educational and entertaining!

Being met with a welcome drink was lovely. Got a lot of great initial info in the beautiful library. The tour was well-paced and Romal had great energy and knowledge about the distillery (and is quite funny). There was a great combination of history and modern functionality. What a fascinating process and how curious no recipes are written down, and that there is essentially an apprentice program at Mount Gay! Also the rum tasting itself was a treat! One guest called Romal a 'hero' for his ability to articulate our tasting experience before we tried the rums, plus the tips he gave us for when we drink moving forward. I would love to do the lunch tour and cocktail making tour ASAP.

Really enjoyed our visit. This is not the actual distillery (that is further north) but we learned a lot from the video and from our excellent host. And of course we enjoyed tasting four different rums. The on site shop had lots of choice and did seem to be a bit cheaper than the airport duty free.

We did the Mount Gay rum tasting tour with lunch. The tour was nice and informative I certainly learned a lot more distillery process. Our tour guide Zariah was friendly and very knowledgeable about the process. The buffet lunch was excellent and delicious we had the mashed breadfruit with the mango Glazed wings and curry rice.

Our awesome taxi driver brought us here and stayed with us. We decided to go here as the distillery was too far for us. Mount Gay Rum was present at the Puerto Rican Rum Expo several weeks ago. We were able to get a tasting and a celebrity was actually present. Pictures were taken.

Amazing private tour of the distillery for our family who.have enjoyed Mount Gay for 4 generations. Tina made our event one of the highlights of the trip to Barbados. Wonderful day. Would highly recommend.

Unbelievable experience!! Fantastic distillery tour, cocktail class, and rare spirits tasting. Tina and the entire staff showed us such gracious hospitality and a deep knowledge of rum and spirits. Can't wait to come back!!

Great tour, highly recommend. Romal was very entertaining, knowledgeable and made it fun! Do plan your visit, can be traffic out the main cities/town and they are strict about the clothing you must wear, keep in mind!

Worth the money! We were greeted with a 8 oz glass of special planters punch while we waited for the tour. The guide was a standup comedian and the history was impressive. We tasted 4 rums from white to XO. Then we had a delicious lunch with a beef stew and fried calamari in sauce, rice and beans, Mac N cheese, potatoes, salad, and great chocolate cake and ice cream for dessert. In case you needed more rum, a small list of fruity rum drinks were available for $5 US. We really had a great time!
