BE AWARE OF THIS GUY IN THE RED SHORTS. We are here for our summer family vacation this beach is beautiful. Everything in St. Lucia has been lovely until now. We came early to Rodney bay around 9a.m the beach was quite empty the guy in the red shorts told us to move with an attitude from the beach because he needs to put his chairs. We were all set in and were here with a baby, since we didn’t move quickly he puts his chairs so close to the baby car seat I was concerned he almost hits the car seat. THIS EXPERIENCE RUINED OUR TRIP! So we moved to avoid a huge conflict. If you do come to this beach don’t rent a chair from this man. You will avoid a terrible experience.

Beautiful soft white sand, clear blue waters, and lush green surroundings. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to swim, snorkel, or just relax and enjoy the sun

Don’t listen to people, this place is amazing. Soft Sandy beach still water and eat at spinnakers. Food amazing well worth visit

Beautiful bay, very crowded though. Bar prices seemed a little high. There was a beach near Gros islet which was stunning and empty.

Second time here and a great place to locate yourself. Much more subdued and chilled because of covid and curfews so not so party at the moment but that in itself is still nice. Lots of locals use the beach and are really friendly. The local shops and restaurants are great with multiple choices

Very scenic spot. There is something to do for everyone ; water park and Pizza Pizza play house for children, casino, Botox @dermalogics, grocery shopping, island shopping mall, spas, lots of coconut water along the way, fine and casual dining, keebees sports lounge, three main beaches, National park for picnics and weddings or mass crowd events, golf courses nearby, Segway tours or hiking, water sports, diving,Marina, hotels, best KFC in the caribbean, taxi, water taxi and public transport accessible. Must see when visiting St. Lucia

The place to be good anchorage

Horrendous experience. Hounded from the second we stepped into the beach until the second we left. Drug dealers everywhere. Bar staff demanding tips every time you get a drink. Local men roaming around fondling any female they see. Will never return

We spent several days in and around Rodney Bay. We thoroughly loved the area. We are going back in December. Dont miss Fot Rodney and Pigeon Island. Spinnakers Resterant at Reduit Beach.

Great area for food , drink, shopping, and the beach

Busy spot but lots to see and a very good selection if restaurants and hotels nearby. Probably one of the safer areas for cruisers in St. Lucia and more options with the marina present. Nice wind protected bay. Lively spot.

Rodney Bay is hub for malls, 5 star hotels, residential, restaurants, bars, duty free shopping, medical and dental offices, fast food, ice cream shop, yacht club, beach, water sports and entertainment.

Beautiful people and epic scenery. We traveled around so all of these pictures are not Rodney Bay. Rodney Bay itself is a lovely little town. make sure to visit the Rivers of life restaurant. The pitons are a must see!

The most happening entertainment hub of Saint lucia. From shopping to some of the best eateries and beaches, everything is available in and around. A must visit place if you happen to visit saint lucia.

This is a lovely place to shop for local craft and trinkets , met a lovely vendor by the name of Winifred booth c stall 70 so much was in store and wonderful bubbly personality

Fantastic open market with fruits and vegetables, that are fresh and reasonalble priced. Fun place to visit and mix with locals.

Some local items mixed with Chinese imports. Too many booths of the same things. Quite a few empty booths too. Dark in many places. Some local spices, fruit, etc

Enjoyed stopping here. Lots of locals selling and had a great atmosphere. Went when there were quite a few cruise ships in but didn’t feel too crowded. Went at 11:00 and was still going strong. Lots of repeated produce and touristy things, but loved the food stuff. Look around as different prices on every stall. Great stimulus for a toddler!

Great place to interact with the locals. Guavas, mangoes, Coconuts, bananas etc. fresh and just off the farm. Enjoyed the most delicious fruit breakfast and only £2! I am visiting Creole Kitchen again to taste their delicious food! A bottle of pure fresh natural Guava juice for Rs: 100

It's not everyone's cup of tea it's pretty run down near the port but the people are charming.

Cool place to purchase items for your trip as well as mingle with the local people.

The harbor was created by a crater, super cool. Local folks created a lovely market area.

Most lively market on the island with all the fruits vegetables and food you will find. Friendly locals.

It was okay, hard to just browse as the vendors are on it in trying to encourage you to buy their products. Bought some local hot sauces but then discovered that we paid more than double compared to the supermarkets.

Great place to find your souvenirs

I love how there is always a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables to choose from. Strongly recommend that you eat fresh and eat locally grown produce

Great place of worship with many historical pieces. This place is like a museum of Catholic views. Take a tour to receive a wealth of knowledge on the history of the Catholic church.

While in want of needed repair, the church is a fine example of the island's people and their Catholic faith. The stained glass windows were exceptional! It was gratifying to see people there in prayer during our afternoon visit!

Beautiful paintings, need restoration, so help them if you can.

My wife and I spent our honeymoon in St. Lucia in 2011. We visited Castries, and we saw this beautiful Cathedral- it is a very moving and spiritual place, and so unique- it's built of iron, and the walls have filigree to let air and light pass through. It's a must see.

Beautiful old church. Not much to see on the outside but the inside was lovely. Definitely worth seeing if you're in the area

I cannot believe that i visited St Lucia so many times and missed this beautiful spot. Now one of my favorite places. A wonderfully calm oasis in the midst of a hectic town. A beautiful building.

Simply beautiful and amazing visit to mass last night at the Minor Basilica of the immaculate conception in #stlucia. This was so uplifting and moving. 🙏🏻🤗😀

We only popped in - but wonderful art work all around. Without a grouchy toddler could have stayed a lot longer for a better look. Not busy despite Saturday lunch time.

Beautiful wooden cathedral. Sound system ain't great so couldn't really hear the mass service

The Minor Basilica church is beautiful inside and out, if you are ever on the island Castries St. Lucia I recommend you take the time to see this stunning church. There's a park across the street with grass and several benches . There is a very old tree in the park lots of beautiful flowers. The park was named after Derek Walcott he was commemorated the award of Nobel prize for literature in 1992. He was born in St Lucia.

Nice duty free shopping plaza next to cruise ship. Has taxi stand for excursion. Lots of shops and bars. Good selection of local gifts. Near fishing dock and Castries marketplace. Lots of shade. Nice view of the harbor.

Shopping, access islimitwd to the port terminal area. Hand sa itizatiin is demanded going into each shop. Mandatory mask wearing also social distancing. There is a curfew at 4 o'clock every day.

Fore some reason we disembarked on the other side, a different port. This is not my first time visiting St Lucia so I wanted to go to this particular port. I walked 20 minutes, from one port to the other, to get scammed. I paid 18 dollars for the Marigot Bay at the Rum Shop. Then had to go to Massy (supermarket) and it was selling for 12 dollars. Then went to another duty free liquor store, across the street from my port, next to a clothing store, and it was selling for the same 12 dollars. So basically the item I bought was not duty free as advertised. Soooo, some people sell it for 12 and still make money, here they sell it for 18, under false pretenses (duty free), thats greed. Oh well fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. Gave them three stars because the place is nice ....

Easy access to the plethora of local beaches via taxi. Close to town if you want to see how the locals live, or find fresh produce, or see a museum.

Amazing shops, duty free outlets and great food is available. Love the ambience of the Cruise ship passengers milling around to and from thier Mega ships

3 stars because everyone has the same stuff selling they need a different variety at this shopping center

Needs to have more stuff like a ATM car rental cell phone place supermarket

St.Lucia is one of the most beautiful ports ! Very clean and the shops are great !

This was a short stop on a beautiful drive around Castries.

Derek Walcott Square was beautiful a peaceful atmosphere right in the middle of the city of Castries, Saint Lucia.

Wonderful place with wonderful sunsets

Very Simple and beautiful, relaxing and open, safe and fun to chillax.

Historic Park. There is also free WIFI you can use. The hotspot sign is on the far right corner of the park coming through the main entrance.

The place is open to the public no need to buy any ticket you could just walk in

Always my go-to place to get a quick rest whilst shopping in town. I love it there

the removal of the wall surrounding the square was not a practical move. although the square looks a bit more spacious, its location means that the sun is more profound in that area making it difficult to fine shade or comfortable seating
