The park is 2.0 km2 in size and contains two lakes, a rose garden and the Martyrs Monument as well as a restaurant and market. It includes a monument with the inscription, "Freedom is not free

One of the best parks -if not the best- in the region. It’s well taken care of, relatively clean compared with other places. There are good cafes at the entrance and many tea/coffee shops inside. Every corner has its own beauty.

Great green zone for anyone lives in Erbil. Beside green parks it has small body lakes, small markets that services snacks and fresh French fries and boiled sweet corns. The park also has running tracks, climbing wall, library, many children playground zone, most outdoor sport's courts like football, basketball, volleyball and tennis court. Also, has good decent priced workout gym with swimming pool which has indoor and outdoor pool. Great place for everyone, totally recommend it to visit at least once a week.

The perfect place for picnics! The atmosphere is great and you can breathe some fresh air inside. A good place for a get-together day. It is spacious which offers plenty of calm places to spend your time. Variety of activities can be done there. 🌟🌟🌟🌟 stars because: 1- The restaurants are not well-distributed in the park. So you have to walk a lot to reach any rest if you get hungry. Bring your food so you’ll be on the safe side :) 2- It is dark at night when walking.

This park is the biggest park in Erbil. Located near the city center. It has many landscapes and natural views. It has jogging field, horse field and two lakes where you sit and relax or enjoy boat riding. You may also rent gulf car to drive around the park. Only one thing is to look after the toilets and also rent a bicyle is now not avialable, which I was so sad to find tgis out.

Kuridstans answer to El Retiro - massive sprawling well used park on the site of a former military base. Several entrances have snacks & coffee shops. Gates open around 6am & close well after dark.

Have been visiting this park since it opened. Park Sami Abdulrahman has been through many changes and for better. Note: they don't allow personal bicycles in. The running area opens a little before sunrise, and there are plenty of people running. Suitable for all types of activities.

İt's a nice spot for families to gather. But it definitely needs some major maintenance. Not stroller friendly. The kids enjoyed it but many of the playground equipment was broken and needed patching.

I do have to say - song blasting needs to go. Other than that its a great place for a shopping trip. I would like to see more women run stores for lingerie etc. Kitchen warehouse would be nice too. Definitely some corner for European stuff would add a spark here as i miss items from home.

A big mall with variety of shops. One of the best in the city of Erbil, Iraq

Very cool mall, lots of different stores and brands of everything to chose from, multiple ATM locations, shopping center's, grocery stores, ice cream stands, and if that's not enough the structure of the place is amazing. I always find myself looking at the dome glass ceiling and thinking how beautiful and cool the architecture is there. Very easy to navigate around for such a big place, the underground parking is quite convenient, and the security check when you enter gives you peace of mind while you do your shopping. Highly recommend visiting if you haven't and are ever in erbil!

What a place! Secure parking, even for motorcycles. The mall has a nice vibe, but the jewel in the crown is the motorcycle shop. The staff are incredibly helpful and welcoming. It's also the same mall that Graham Jarvis (world Enduro and Trials rider) filmed a recent viral video.

It is one of the big malls in Erbil. You can find majority of household needs there. It includes many shops, fast food area, and some limited Cafe options. There are some limited indoor games for children.

Very nice mall, one of the largest malls in Erbil and Iraq. There are too many brands of clothes and food. The calm and air conditioner are excellent, They are very clean and they clean it every minute. There is a cinema which is excellent, clean, quiet, large halls and professional staff with very reasonable prices. Also there are big games-city with too many games for children and adults and gardens. The mall contains a motel inside as a separated house which is large and suitable for families. A very recommended place to visit if you came to erbil especially if you came with your family.

It's the best mall in Erbil. Prices are not too high LC Wakiki and Defacto are cheapest stroes for clothes.

Family Mall is a very big mall and suitable for every age. There are international shops and brands but they are limited. I think they should open more international and well known brands, not only for clothes but for the foods as well. There are not lots of foods and snacks from other countries. Even if these types of foods are available, they are very expensive. Hopefully more brands will open shops in family mall and more companies transport and send their products to malls.

Beautiful local gem of a museum in lovely location. Highly recommend! They also have a shop downstairs with lovely rugs for sale (need to ask for them to give access). I learned a lot...

I really enjoyed visiting this museum. It didn't only show textiles but also had a lot of information to offer about the Kurdish culture and its recent and current struggles. It is also very informative about the textiles, explaining patterns and material used for the natural dyes. I would recommend this museum to anyone who is interested in learning about cultures and traditions.

It is very interesting place, you can see all kinds of old tools ancient people used in various areas of their life. The place has calm and comfortable cafe upstairs.

A unique museum that exhibits traditional Kurdish textile, kilms, rugs, clothes, hats, and day to day items of majority of the Kurdish tribes in the region. Of you happen to visit Erbil citadel you will want to stop at Kurdish Textile Museum. The entrance fee is usually around $1!

Some of the must visits in citadela not to be missed. U can see traditional way of life in Kurdistan countryside, tribal way of distinquish in clothing for men and women and also beautiful traditional handmade carpets, kilims and rugs made in 1900 still looks like new. On site there is also cafe and gift shop. Place was visited by many politicians, actors or singers theirs pictures can be seen in entry area.

This is an unique place which makes you ponder about art and its destiny with time, These colorful, elaborated kilims and rugs are the products of Kurdistan nomadic life style which will not survive in the 21st century.‬

It was beautiful, exciting and fascinating visit ever. There were a lot of old traditional Kurdish stuff too look at and discover. Some of them like man and women old kurdish customs, there were old rugs which were created by hand and there were sea rocks! They were really nice and colourful.
