Amazing sites for photos, especially during golden hour. The Grand canal stretches and weaves its way through the islands of Italy and it is where the highway that is Venice is located. The bus system travels through the Grand canal and by bus I mean water bus. I highly recommend taking the water bus even for fun as an alternative to the gondola because it is infinitely cheaper. 10 euros!

Most important "road" in Venice and definitely a must-see. We totally recommend to take the waterbus or watertaxi or a gondola to see the whole Canal Grande. Also having strolls next to the Canal Grande is really, really nice. So if you're in Venice, don't miss it.

Beautiful grand canal of Venice. It provides awesome views all around. You may also take a romantic gondola tour here. It's bit expensive as 80euros for a half hour tour, but it was well worth it. The sunset views are specially spectacular.

It is indescribable when you approach Venice by boat and see all these beautiful buildings reflected in the water. We traveled by water bus at the Grand Canal in Venice all the time when we were there. The Grand Canal is so beautiful whether we are in there or looking from far away or on top of a bridge. Some reviews said the water is smelly. But fortunately, the weather was cold when we were there. The water doesn't smell at all. The views of the Grand Canal are almost like I'm in a painting! It almost looks unreal to me!

The very beautiful Grand Canal runs throughout Venice, it’s very nice. It has lots of museums and places to visit along the way as well as it connects to other various channels and smaller canals throughout the city. There are some nice places to get a better view of the canal, and when your in Venice you won’t be able to miss it as your most certainly going to pass by it several times a day.

Ah Venice... The Grand Canal definitely does not disappoint. Interwoven with smaller channels and canals it snakes through the heart of the city. You can stop at the various small ports with a short trip to museums and famous old houses some of which are open to the public. There are other attractions and lovely historic buildings line the banks. A gondola ride is a must to take in the sights of this amazing canal.

Visited back in 2013. Super beautiful and just amazing!! It’s definitely a must visit if you plan on visiting Venice. The square has so many beautiful shots to be taken from every angle. From the square with the two pillars From the church’s roof Of the clock tower And a stunning view of the water and St George’s church with some Gondolas in view. It’s one of the most beautiful city centres in Europe. I completely recommend it.

The main square to visit in Venice. You can find St. Marks Basilica, Bell Tower and Clock Tower, and more. Restaurants and retail shops all around the square, and a bunch of museums / galleries to visit. This place is usually full of tourists, so if you want to take some nice private photos / enjoy the quiet, I would recommend being at the square at 7-8am. If the weather permits, a lot of the restaurants at the square will play live music in the patio area for everyone to enjoy. I would say watch out for the tourists traps, you can find them all around the square.

It's a magical place suffering from overcrowding so whatever part/place you want to visit, plan it properly way ahead or you'll end up in never-ending lines of similarly desperate tourists. Considering the basilica, the entrance fee is really cheap (3 euros) compared to the 30 for the Doge Palace. Inside the church I'd recommend to pay extra 7 euros (so 10 in total) to get in the museum of the San Marco Basilica on the first floor to get two amazing views: the mosaics in a very close detail and also access to the above entrance balcony for the best pics of the whole square. Sure, from the campanile you'll see further as way higher, but not so much of a detail of the buildings around...

Famous landmark in Venice. It is both lovely in daytime as well as during evening. At daytime, depending on the viewing angle and sunlight, it exposes the beauty, craftsmanship of the landmark. However, nighttime is a totally different experience with more relax, and vibrant. Live bands from different restaurants entertain guests. It is such an experience for visitors.

This square is just wonderful, especially on a sunny day. The basilica looks just gorgeous! Around, there are plenty of restaurants and cafes. There are also small stands where Venetian masks are sold.

Just amazing!!! Must visit!! Is magic everywhere in the atmosphere, and pure art in any corner. We came for the carnal end of February, so there was a lot of interesting customs and artist acting around the square, just a little bit cold so bring something warm to enjoy without problem. Will come back any time I can.

Words won’t fully describe how amazing it is and if you are visiting Venice from elsewhere, you made it, enjoy the views and everything Venice has to offer. St Marks square should be on your bucket list if you are visiting here. You can also get to the top of the tower.

The most famous square of Venice which is surrounded by the most important attractions of the city. There is a wide variety of shops and restaurants around it that are worth mentioning. Better to leave them early in the morning to avoid the crowds. The projects that take place in the square lose something of its glamour. We arrived around 10am and it was 36 degrees Celsius and the atmosphere stifling.

Unfortunately the weather was a bit rainy so not at it's best. There's works going on to raise the square level higher to help re water levels rising. But the charm of Venice was still there and we had a lovely gondola ride

My trip to Venice, simply awesome! We caught such a great time, sunny but not extremely hot. We had plenty of time to visit Venice but once we reached San Marco square everything exploded with history around us. Amazing architecture, pleasant and beautiful. I urge you to visit at least once in your lifetime.

I am stunned to see people able to rate this site with anything else than 5 stars! This is the very top of world's beauty, this site is a myth and it rises to match its reputation. I was fortunate enough to visit it several times, walking through the pigeons and listening to the piano by the terraces, and also passing by on a big cruise ship, taking photos that could well be taken for aereals.

Very Iconic, one of a kind, the only City that in my opinion anybody should see at least once in their lifetime. So frozen in history, you almost feel like time travelling while strolling down the Venice lanes. Worth visiting anytime.

One of the most amazing places in the world! The canals, churches and architecture is beyond spectacular. From street vendors to churches, every inch is beyond spectacular! Walking during the day is very exhilarating. But walking at night is filled with tranquility and a sense of serenity like no where else. Gondola rides are a must! Traveling by their boat bus system is very easy and inexpensive! You can walk along the canals for hours. Shops and restaurants are superb.

If a bell tower visit is chosen, a short wait for a €10 elevator trip to the bells at the top is required ,although for extra a queue jumping ticked can be bought. Waited about 10 minutes if that, for a spectacular 360 view over the whole of Venice. Fabulous.

Incredible of course! You cannot go to Venice and miss out St. Mark's Square. Beautiful history, architecture, art, food, and music all in one magical location.

It is an impressive square with lots of shops and resurants. These can be very expensive but you have the option of listening to live music. We climbed the tower and would highly recommend. This place floods at high tide at night so they provide planks to walk on which is very cool.

One of the most beautiful places that I have ever been to, not only a place, it's because you don't think that is possible one that is a bigger place on an island like Venice, incredible, amazing! You have to go almost once in your life to Venice, and Burano et Murano are mandatory!!

Fascinating and beautiful place to visit. It does be extremely busy here. I would not recommend eating or dining there as it's very expensive. Highly recommended when in Venice.

The place itself is gorgeous, but under renovation. To get in, its 3€ and most of the church is blocked off, including the seats and all of the side rooms. The entrance fee just lets you walk around the main room. If you want to go up to the tower its another 5€ and the museum is also an additional cost. I walked through it fairly quick as there was not much to see, and there was a big crowd the whole way

Beautiful church. Highly recommend to buy tickets ahead of time to skip the line. The line wrapped around the church before it opened. We went on a Tuesday in March, the off-season, around 945am and it was packed. Definitely wanna get tickets to the horse loggia and museum if you want access to the top balcony.

Stunning Basilica. We had to wait in line, but it moved quickly. Price was 3 euro per person to enter, but worth it. So beautiful inside. It was under construction outside and only limited areas you could go inside. We did not buy the museum pass to go upstairs and outside. The have restrictions on clothing to enter (womens shoulders must be covered as an example)

Arguably the most favourite building in Venice, it is always packed. So I joined a night tour and was glad that I did because it gave access to some off limited areas. It was also great that only 2 other groups were there at the same time. So I could really pay attention and learn about the history about the basilica. What a beautiful place. I still can't believe I was walking in it. (July 2022)

To preface, I visited in 2016 and it was with a tour group- so, I got to see most of the basilica and did not have to deal with any queues or weird pricing. As far as the basilica itself: stunning!! So much impressive craftsmanship in the building, and the artwork is awe inspiring. I did not go to the top towers, but even through some of the windows there were very impressive views. Of course it was crowded, like most similar areas, but I remember having a great experience because it was not enough to pull me out of the beauty. We even got to see some lower levels and a cell somewhere in the basement I believe. If I were to visit Venice again with my wife I would surely take her here!

A very beautiful basilica indeed! I’ve enjoyed the appearance of the exterior and interior the most. I would highly recommend buying tickets online to skip the line. I wouldn’t miss the roof, as it gave a beautiful view of the Piazza San Marco.

Looks beautiful inside however there is an extra 5 euro charge to walk through the back of the church area getting a better view of some of the art. Also there is a 7 euro charge to go to the museum. It would have been nice to include everything as a bundle fee as opposed to paying when you get there. Still a very impressive basilica and probably a must see in Venice so just keep in mind the extra costs if you plan on seeing everything here. I also recommend picking up tickets earlier which will help save you some time when entering

You have 3 attractions in one here. There is the Basilica itself. Then you have to pay extra to see the golden alter screen it is also extra to go up to the Balcony outside and then extra again to visit the Museum. Also it cost extra to get an Audio guide. It is a gorgeous place to see. The mosaics are out of this world. They tell so many stories and the audio guide tells the history of them all. Truly breathtaking. Got the skip the line tickets and they were well worth it as queues can be quite long.

Gorgeous church but we were not allowed to go inside the main part of the church because church was in session when we were on our tour. We could go inside the first door and walk around upstairs and outside on the top level for a nice view of the square.

I recommend buying the Basilica AND the museum/horses ticket as the ticket for the Basilica only does not allow you to go upstairs. We paid 6€ each for the 'skip-the-line' tickets including the entrance of the Basilica (3€ each). Adding the 3€ to skip the line was worth it. We then paid 7€ each to enter the museum and horses tour and we also thought it was worth it. The museum allows you to get closer to the ceilings mosaics and this alone is worth the add-on. The views of San Marco square from outside the basilica (balcony) is a nice bonus.

This is the largest square in Venice. It’s a very crowded tourist attraction but still I loved being here. The popular St. Mark’s Basilica and the very iconic bell tower stand in this place. The other dominant building here is the Doge’s Palace. All the buildings are very pretty. You need to stand in the middle of this square to really get the feel of the wonderful architecture around you. It’s a very lively and happy place (at least that’s the way I felt being here). Full of activity, iconic buildings and cheerful tourists. It’s a great place to spend a few hours. There are quite a lot of restaurants, cafes and shops here which are nice but expensive (as is the case near any main tourist attraction).

This is my top 1 tourist place to go in Venice .Beautiful architecture it’s is absolutely flawless. I went on a tour and I loved the history of the Basilica. I recommend to buy tickets in advance to get in front of the line instead of waiting in the long line like I did. Very beautiful inside too. Tickets are 3€ and kids under 6 are free. Gorgeous church with a beautiful interior. Lines get long quick but move relatively quickly. Fee to enter the basilica, fee to see the gold alter piece in the apse, fee to see the upstairs/museum/rooftop so come prepared to shell out $$$. But I think they are all worth it especially the upper level/museum/rooftop. Free Rick Steves audio tour really opened the place up.

One of the main places to visit when in Venice. I would highly recommend showing up early in the morning during peak season (summer time), to make sure you don’t need to wait in a long queue. I arrived 45 mins before the doors opened, and was the first in line. Tickets are very inexpensive, which are mainly a donation to the Basilica, and the view from the second floor outdoor area gives an amazing view of the entire Square!

I think the facade looks the best close to sunset. That's when the evening sun shines onto it, illuminating the mosaics on the facade. As for visiting it, I'd recommend buying the tickets in advance. We arrived 30min before opening and ended up waiting for 45min to enter. Definitely visit the Museum as well. You get to visit the terrace and see the original bronze horses.

3 euro entry and extra 5 to visit the alter and 7 extra to visit the museum itself. Prices are reasonable. Great views, architecture and priceless art work. It was a great experience to walk round and explore the basilica. Would recommend paying for the museum as this allows you upstairs and out onto the balcony for view at marks square and the condition of some of the art work is amazing. Cheap activity and worth a visit. You can book fast track tickets. We went around 11am and there was a long queue but we were in within 30min

Well what can i say, it’s worth the hype, it’s worth the queues, it’s just gorgeous and magnificent. I will go out on a limb and say that this is the most magnificent Basilica as per me in Europe (and the list includes Saint Peter’s in Vatican). The church is covered in mosaic and it seems impossible to even imagine how they created the art. The museum along with the galleries give some of the best views in Venice and thus worth going in. If you take Rick Steve’s audioguides then you can easily spend a few hours admiring the glory of this Basilica.

TICKETS! The biggest challenge with this monument is understanding where and how to purchase tickets. There is limited signage and information online to advise YOU CAN PAY AT THE DOOR and do NOT NEED skip the queue tickets. It’s €3per person to get in on the ground level to view the inside with an addition €7 per person via cash or card to walk upstairs and walk through both the museum and the outdoor viewing area over the square. I highly recommend this! On the hour the clock changes and the bell rings…an amazing sight to see…try to time your visit to over the hour change to experience this.

This basilica is decorated by mosaic. The glittery yellow ones are 24k gold! The extravagance in building this is unbelievable. The hall is the lowest point in Venice and it is first to get flooded when waters come in. St Mark’s body is also kept in this basilica.

You can go the fun way visiting this wonderful church by getting a tour and skipping the line or you can wait and wonder the story behind it. I would highly recommend getting a guide. definitely make sure you get to the terrace ( extra 14 euros) for the wonderful view of the clock tower and the square.

This is a especially beautiful Basilica. There is a little bit of a wait to get in, but it’s worth it to see the beauty inside. The architecture is beautiful and ornate. This is a must see if you were in Venice.

We bought our tickets through Get Your Guide. Gia was amazing. She gave us incredible history and pointing out spectacular facts about the basilica. I highly recommend the 7€ hours/terrace add on. The views of the square are with it.

On the pricey side for what you get but it is Venice so everything comes at a premium. Enough things to see and admire to keep you entertained for a couple of hours or longer. Good insight into life when the Palace was fully functioning. I enjoyed it but will not be one for all the family, certainly not at the price. If you like art it is recommended. Some nice views from the top too.

A brilliant place to visit! Personally, I enjoyed this more than St Marks Basilica. Outstanding art and architecture, the whole place is steeped in history. Some of the rooms and the scale of them will take your breath away. A must see when visiting Venice. Tip: we got a skip the line and guided tour. It was well worth it, we spent zero time waiting and the tour brought the place alive.

Beautiful experience of a lifetime. The decorated rooms with awe inspiring paintings on ceilings and walls made it special. It reminded us of Indian palaces or French Versailles beauty. It was crowded but if you get advanced skip line it’s very smooth and no waits. The bridge of sighs is nice touch to the visit which is both sad and provides one of best views of Venice in addition to the armory rooms which also have fabulous views of Venice. We skipped the basilica next door which had nightmare lines and don’t regret coming this way instead. Enjoy.

A wonderful palace full of rich history! You can buy your tickets day of, but you will be stuck in a line to be able to get inside. The palace is wonderful, and the walls have stories of how it all came to be and how the role of the Doge was handled throughout time. You explore the halls and rooms within the building, along with the connected prison chamber and pass through the inside of the sigh bridge. Overall a good experience, and one item as a must do while in Venice!

We went here in mid January on a Monday morning - no lines for tickets, no lines anywhere! The palace was so cool to see and it really gets you thinking about the wealth they had hundreds of years ago to be able to have such ornate rooms and ceilings. We skipped the audio tour as we just wanted to look around. Awesome architecture. The prison was really creepy. It was almost like being outdoors with how cold it was, so even though going up (and down) the sometimes steep or uneven stairs got our heart rate up, we kept our coats on. I enjoyed seeing the historic Bridge of Sighs--from the inside out! They don't allow backpacks so be prepared to check yours. There are tons and tons of stairs as you follow the pathway through the building so you will get lots of steps in.

The ticket price is outrageously high, and we definitely had a visit experience that was not worth the price. We despite choosing a less crowded period in Venice and purchasing tickets in advance with a specific time slot, the palace was still crowded. This can only mean they are selling too many tickets without considering visitors' experience. The first and longest part of your visit is a dull exhibition about the palace and the Venetian dukes. If you know nothing about Venice Palace and Dukes, the exhibition might be interesting, but if you have even a bit of knowledge, it will feel boring. The rooms they prepared for this exhibition are specially designed to close off the palace, with walls covered in burgundy plaster and ceilings covered with nets, giving no sense of being inside a palace. We thought the whole visit would be like this, and we felt disappointed. In the second part, you get to see the grand palace rooms and halls. The rooms are truly beautiful with their magnificent ceilings and walls adorned with paintings. The third part involves visiting the prison by crossing the Bridge of Sighs. It's an empty and boring walk. You only see prison cells. In short, you pay an exorbitant fee to see a few rooms and halls of the palace amidst a crowded mass of people. I definitely don't think it's worth it.

Extremely well preserved paintings (though some were replaced by copies, the originals taken to the Louvre...), impressive interiors, some interesting collections of Venetian armour, and temporary exhibitions. Also, the prison part of the Palace is well worth a visit in itself, with its Bridge of Sighs, of course. The visit would take at least two hours.

The amazing wealth of the Venetian city state is on full display in this museum. Much of it must be seen in person to appreciate the scale and mastery. This is a must see experience if you travel to Venice. There is so much history behind every piece of art work and artifact. You can spend many hours going through them. There are also guided tours offered by local guides, who can give you in depth history lessons.

Amazing scale and sumptuous style make the Palace a must visit, if you are in Venice. Only marked down from 5 stars as, however awe inspiring, the religiously oriented paintings and decorations left me with a feeling of a heavy grimness rather than light and glory. Queued for approx 40 mins to get in, though that was my fault for not trying to book until too close to the day.

Get the ticket to tour the palace from the inside. Definitely book ahead online otherwise you will find yourself in a line stretching for hours, regardless of the season. Fascinating history and unique style of Venetian architecture that is quite different from other parts of Italy. Some awesome giant rooms that housed the Venetian governing apparatus, and you can see how the layouts relate to the well-known facade outside.

Beautiful palace. I'd spring for 4 museums in a visit. Each floor is very different from the next. Completely worth it. My photos don't do it justice. Visited in late November so got right in. The normal queue lines were beside us and you can see where it's normally out the door when people go in season so beware 😲

A must see. Absolutely stunning opulent palace. Very golden. Tickets are 25€ if booked 30 days prior. 30€ if book within 30 days. Opening time vary with season. For winter 2024 is 9:00- 18:00. It is wheel chair accessible. Opened every day. This is definitely a very popular attraction so must be crowded on peak season.

A truly amazing building. The large rooms filled with paintings and gold leaf are breathtaking. Paintings by some true greats including Titian. The tour around the building has lots of information to guide you through how the palace was used and what the Doge was. Then the journey takes you to the prison part of the building (including crossing the bridge of sighs.) This section is very different but equally fascinating. You get a proper look in all the cells and the long creepy corridors are very atmospheric (we chose the longer route around the prison, and we definitely feel like that was the better option for a more in-depth look.) The tickets are expensive (€30 each if you buy on the day) but it’s clear that the money is being spent on constant restoration work and maintaining the incredible art and architecture. We queued up on the day for tickets and only queued for 5 minutes - this was in early January though so I would recommend buying in advance if you’re visiting later in the year. There is a cafe but everything was very expensive even compared to the prices in the rest of San Marco’s square, so we didn’t end up buying anything there. There was the option to pay extra for an audio guide but we opted to read the information boards for free and still felt that we learnt a great deal around the palace. Overall an amazing excursion - do leave a good few hours to get around everything with plenty of time to read the information and take your time looking at the artwork.

Exquisite ceiling work 🥰!! they’ve preserved the state of the prisons which is incredible…The finesse of the paintings are just🥰 we were lucky to visit during the night hours as it was open till 10pm on this particular day and I feel the lighting added a different charm to the art work.. I however feel that the place can be better maintained for the price they charge for entry. Having said that, it’s definitely a must visit when visiting Venice !!

Outstanding beauty, absolutely worth a visit. The path is marked by the ropes so it's easy to go through it without missing anything and getting lost. I'd take at least a couple hours to take it easy and enjoy the beautiful art (in particular Veronese) and opulent architecture. I recommend booking in advance and buy priority tickets to skip all queues and waste valuable time in Venezia!

Absolutely gorgeous, can’t be put into words. Highly recommend—this is a must when visiting venice. the architecture is wonderful, the history is extremely interesting and the rooms will put you in awe. Paris has nothing on this, this is the most impressive destination! i highly recommend doing a tour to skip the long lines and learn about each room.

The Palace is a stunning piece of art located right next to the Basilica. When you start the tour you see the amount of effort that they put into making this palace. Words can’t really describe how it looks inside and nor can pictures do justice. Each room is grand!!! When you go on the tour read the signs that they posted. It gives you a thorough explanation of the palace. By the end of it, you realize this place was used for making decisions for the community and bringing law and order to the people. I really felt that the Venetians try to create a Fair method of justice. Funny because their checks and balances system was brought to the United States. That’s what our tour guide said. Overall, it’s amazing and leaves you speechless.

Would come again any time, great place with lots of great art. We used a tour guide that didn’t offer much time. One hour was barely enough. The museum doesn’t have air conditioning which in summer makes it unbearable to visit it in some places. They have a cafe and toilets with a long queue in front of them.

Really enjoyed this visit I would recommend booking a timed ticket on line or queuing up early for a ticket and going back later in the day. I wouldn’t bother with audio guide. It’s €5 each (cash) but you need to leave your passport or drivers license so that you don’t run off with the device. The audio guide does not cover everything. There are plenty of written explanations in many languages. The cafe is really good. I would recommend the long tour around the prison.

Wonderful tour. The entrance fee is not cheap, but it's well worth it - you get a great insight into Venice history, see stunning art and architecture, walk through the chilling prison, and literally get to walk across the iconic Bridge of Sighs. We were here in October and happily avoided the crowds - if coming in peak times you might want to pay extra to minimise long wait times.

Interesting place. Very pretty artwork. Go with a tour and you can skip the line. highly recommend . Randomly, it had a shared bathroom for men and women. It was fine as each stall was it's own room. I just found it hilarious that they had a Nona standing at the door making sure you used the "right" stall. I asked my husband and his stall was just a toilet as well. cracked me up that she was so diligent about keeping everyone in line, lol. At least there were 3 female and 2 male stalls!

The queue wasn’t very long (we went there at 3pm on a Wednesday) but it was extremely crowded inside, we basically followed a line of people from start to finish and the whole experience lasted about 90 minutes. Despite all this it was still enjoyable and the architectural details, the painting and ceilings were stunning. I highly recommend buying tickets online a few weeks in advance. We overheard several people saying they wouldn’t be able to go inside because they weren’t selling any more tickets.

A really interesting building and great to walk around. If you like painted ceilings, you’re in for a treat! We waited outside in the general queue for probably around 20 minutes, so I’d recommend buying a ticket in advance because we didn’t go at a hugely busy time of day (around 4pm).

The paintings and ceilings are breathtaking, they are ginormous. We went with a tour group and it was not too crowded. There are not many places to sit down inside and there are many stairs.

I recommend booking a tour as the queue for ticket entrance is insane. With a group tour, the waiting time is minimal. Also, with the rich history, it is impossible, at least for me, to make sense and appreciate the grandeur. I am amazed how the Venetian, as a relatively small power in terms of numbers is able to do so much. If you want to be on the Bridge of Sighs, then need to go in through the Doge’s Palace.

We went on a Thursday evening around 5 pm and it was mostly empty and we were able to visit without waiting. That said, the palace is huge and if you want to spend time observing the art, you may want to go earlier.

Excellent museum. Fine attention to history as each display in 4 languages. Extensive history at each display and very well done. The building is incredible inside and well worth the fee to visit. The armory halls especially piqued my interest. Excellent display. Would definitely visit again. I did a self guided tour but the audio tour would’ve probably been helpful. Excellent indeed.

An absolutely beautiful palace for the Duke of Venice. The first floor is not exactly all that appealing, but once you get into the "chambers", you will be surrounded by golden ceilings and oil paintings everywhere. In the largest room of the palace, you will find "Paradise", the world's largest oil painting. I think it is a very bad idea to build a prison in the Duke's palace, but it seems to have worked out for them. Located in a great place in the San Marco plaza, and next to the Basilica di San Marco and the end of the Grand Canal.

Must visit to appreciate the symbol of the wealth and splendor of this once great maritime republic. You can actually walk through the famous Bridge of Sighs and visit the new prison across the canal after you see the beautiful gilded halls and stairways of the palace. I would recommend visiting it in wintertime when you can actually take nice pix without huge crowds.

We had to buy tickets online. Ticket queue was very long. A must visit place, if you are interested in history and art. It has amazing paintings all over the place depicting moment of history and mythology. It has good collection of weapons and armors from that time. You can take pictures inside. Considering everything, we bought €30 ticket which includes 3 museums including skip-the-line entry to the palace. Other included museums are (Culture and Archeology) are on other side of St. Marcs Square and very close by.

The best experience in Venice, both from the bridge and from the gondola below. Iconic and majestic at the same time. If you visit on the first Sunday of June, there are rowing competition and the ambiance changes as there are no water buses or, taxis. Highly recommended.

Venice is pretty. Al lot bigger than I thought. We only spent the day there and it just wasn't enough time to see all that there was. Gondola ride was okay and food was fantastic! Weather in November was cool and if you're one who gets warm pretty fast from walking, layer your clothing because you'll warm up fast walking through the streets

It's a beautiful and the oldest of 4 bridges offering a lovely view of Grand Canal Venice . One can climb up the steps ,it offers views on both sides . One can go for a gondola ride or a speedboat ride depending on preference. Lots of hotels ,pubs and restaurants, local market line up the area making it vibrant in day but it looks amazing at night .

One of a kind bridge and you will definitely not mistake it for another. It's massive, has three stairs (middle, right, left) to see the Grand Canal from all sides and angles. Magnificent! A lot of souvenir shops, but I would recommend searching for a place father from the bridge, it's a tourist trap. Same with the restaurants - a lot more expensive than other places.

It's beautiful. But too much crowded. You'll find good restaurant at every corner. I wanted to try Gondola ride but it's 80€ for 1 person. You can find other options online for enjoying the view. It's better to book in advance online because I couldn't find it in the same day. My overall experience was good. Oh! It's 60€ for water taxi which took us 1.5km further. I know it's crazy but it's Venice 🙂 and once in a lifetime experience 👍

Beautiful bridge with small shops on it. Fantastic construction, looks like something modern but it has almost 2 hundred years. Many restaurants are around,pizza and ice creams are great, it is just a very cozy place.

Best time to take photos is before 07:30 AM. The crowds haven’t swarmed yet and the light is perfect. The cafes surrounding it will be overpriced and so will the souvenirs. Nevertheless, it’s a cant miss view from up top and below the bridge. And you will need to cross it a few times when you explore across major Venetian islands.

The bridge is amazing! On top, you can admire a beautiful panorama of the canal. Along the bridge, there are many small shops with masks, jewelry, and glass.

Iconic bridge of Venice, only few bridges are there which runs over Grand canal and this is the most famous one out of all. This is quite popular because of it's architecture and majestic look. Spriderman scenes were shot in this very same bridge. It's very much crowded most of the time and hard to even take a pic as everyone occupies their own steps for picture ;).

Its very overcrowded and touristy. There are plenty of souvenir shops around if you want to get an economical souvenir from Venice. The cafes and restaurants around this place are also a bit too touristy. It serves well to cross the canal into the main island though. This is not a must see for me in Venice though it is super hyped.

Amazing piece of architecture and history. Visit this place if you are in Venice. Quite well preserved and perfect place for snaps. It's almost always bustling, Sunrise and Sunset views should be damn beautiful from this place. There are a lot of restuarents around this bridge and easily accessible by metro.

Beautiful day at the Rialto Bridge. Best place to get a photo is either of a gondola (which we experienced and I highly recommend) or at the bottom of either end on the dock off the taxi boat stations. Went on a Sunday and it was packed then went on Monday 11/20/2023 and there was very few people there. The bridge was larger than I expected.

Largest arched bridge in Venice. Can get quite busy during the usual hours so best early in am or later in evening. Different light settings can give fantastic different views of area. Nearby fresh seafood market to walk to. Quiet spot to take photo of bridge is on the northwest corner.

This place is truly magical! Go at night and during the day and take a boat taxi around - such a vibe. Was there for 5 hours and totally worth the 7 extra hours of driving it took me to go there and back!!

Fantastic views over Venice, this is the tallest building around the island, you can't miss going up there to enjoy the breath taking views over Venice. It is best to go at sun set to enjoy the golden light over Venice. Of course you got to know you will be sharing spots with a lot of other tourists, but that's a normal thing for Venice. Staff was very polite and helpful.

Beautiful tower in one of the most famous places in Italy. I highly recommend going up to the tower - it is not very expensive, just 10 Euros and the waiting line is fast. But the view is stunning! Extremely beautiful.

I'd suggest visiting close to sunset. The crowds would have dissipated by then so you can just march up to get your tickets. Moreover, I think the lighting is ideal. It's soft enough for Piazza San Marco to bathe in the sunset but not harsh enough that it washes your photos. Perhaps the only downside is that it casts its shadow on Basilica San Marco. See photos for what I mean.

A must see! I would advise you to book the tickets online as the queue can be quite long. The lift to go up is more modern than expected. The view from up there is the best you can ever get in Venice. I would definitely recommend it!!

Amazing view of Venice. We went on a Thursday in not so high touristic season and we found no queue. So I wouldn’t recommend to buy the ticket slip the line. There is an elevator and it is well organized.

Visit Campanile for an amazing view of Venice. You can have clear view of the Doge’s palace, canals, boats and the St. Marks square from this 100 m tall tower. Specially in the evening it looks great to have a sunset view or experience the lighting of the square. Note: the ticket to the tower is not covered in the Museum ticket which allows you access to ~10 museums. And be careful of the bells ringing at every hour. They are very loud.

10€ entrance fee and you get an amazing view of Venice. Depending on the time of day there might be a lot of people queuing up, but you take the elevator to reach the top and have an unobstructed view of the city, definitely a must-do!

Can get very busy, but the views are worth the wait. For less crowds and an arguably better view, head to San Giorgio's tower across the canal which also has an elevator.

One of the best places to visit in Venice. Sun set time is ideal. Book in advance and take the elevator to the top. The views from the top are just stunning and you can hang around there to soak in the beauty. We were there for around 50min and enjoyed views on each side, clicked pictures & videos to carry back fond memories!

The tallest building in Venice. Definitely must visit in Venice. I had skip the line tickets ordered in advance. You order them for exact time. Unfortunately I missed my water bus so I was late. Thankfully it was not an issue and the QR code on my ticket still let me in. I talked with my friend and they said that coming earlier was not a problem either. I guess it must be at the day, hour doesn't matter that much. I was happy to find out that there was an elevator going to the top. I don't have problems with sports, but it was crazy hot outside. The views from the top were amazing. I was lucky to have a great weather, too. You can see all important places from St. Mark's square from above.

Very nice place, but extremely crowded. The view is stunning but I’m not sure it’s worth the 10+ €, considering you will probably be surrounded by tons of people. Still, quite the sight. If the weather is good, you might be able to see the Alps in the north. I strongly suggest getting the Venezia Unica pass to skip the long line.

Online skip the line tickets are EUR 12, and tickets at the counter for EUR 10. There will usually be a 5 min waiting. So choose what u prefer. View from the top is breathtaking. Venice looks much more beautiful from up there.

Beautiful view to whole Venice. When the day is sunny photos from the tower are beautiful. The entrence price is 10e, the queue is 15 minutes, the elevator goes up, there is no time limit on how long you can stay on the tower, it is mandatory to wear a mask

Great place! We visited this and were not disappointed! The sights from the top were great, and the pictures from the bottom were great and iconic as well. Tickets were a reasonable price and it's definitely worth going to the top. It's one of the most iconic places in Venice, and I highly recommend visiting this. Also, you may want to buy tickets earlier in the day, because there is a somewhat long wait depending on the time of year. We waited almost one hour.

Nice 360° views over Venice. Worth the ticket in my opinion. Binoculars are available for every direction. Unfortunately there is no possibility to take the stairs, only elevator access. There can also be a slight queue for the elevator down on a busy day.

We walked by about 9:30am and there was no line really maybe 20 people so we walked up and got our ticket. €10 I think. Tight little elevator with an attendant. Nice view from the top. And don't forget to look UP at the bells too.

The views are really nice, but this attraction is extremely crowded. The entrance fee is 10 euros. We didn't have the best weather but If the weather is good, you could see really far away. Maybe even the Alps on the north side. I didn't have it, but would really use the Venezia Unica pass to skip the long line. If you come early in the morning probably at that time it will be less stuffed with tourists.

Amazing views- you take an elevator- ZERO stairs which is refreshing! Great views from the top and you get to see the enormous bells as well. Definitely recommend- tickets are separate from those for the Basilica itself, so book a separate time. Also note- if it looks like the advance tickets are sold out for days and days it may be because the elevator is broken. Once it is fixed they'll open it back up for reservations.

It's worth the ticket, queue and crowd to be up at the top to experience the sunset - the moment when Venice turns into a literal golden city - and then capture a full moon with the changing colours of the sky. I'll like to explore a sunrise opportunity during my next visit.

Worth the 10 euros. I am not usually a fan of paying money to ride elevators, but this one is actually worth it. The best view of Venice from all angles, and magical at sunset. Love that the viewing platform is enclosed by wire and not by windows, so you can peek in between for an unobstructed and clear view, and easily take photos. It’s crowded but people move fast and you can always get to the spot you want if you just wait 2-3 minutes for others to vacate. Did not need fast pass ticket for a visit in December, waited maybe 15 minutes to go up near sunset.
