Beaches, museums, markets (Loule Market is beautiful), check out the train stations (they are beautiful), only 2 hours to Sintra, enjoy the wine & the food.

You will be fine! I did a solo trip over a month period and drove 5000 miles. Make sure your vehicle is in top shape..have it serviced before the trip. Have snacks, water in the car so if you don't feel like stopping you don't have to. Figure out where you will spend the night and plan to get there before dark. I rarely for nihht driving unless I'm familiar with the area. I also have an emergency kit in my car because I live in California (earthquakes) Most important...have some good tunes and enjoy the surrounding beauty!!!
