Truly an amazing and beautiful beach. Great to swim and enjoy a whole day. Beautiful sunrise and sunset views. Great to stay on one of the properties on the beach to have access to umbrellas and chairs, but lots of public beach access and many people bringing their own things and enjoying.

The water and beach was beautiful, they had jet skiing, banana boat rides, and tubing offered at the beach as well. You could rent chairs and umbrellas, we just brought towels. The chicken jerk sold on the beach was very good as well

After visiting the Crystal Caves, we spent the afternoon at this beautiful beach. Some areas are crowded, but if you walk 5 minutes along the beach, there are hardly any people. The water was warm and so clear that you could count your toes when the water was up to your chest.

Seven Mile beach is the beach to end all beaches. It is currently absolutely deserted and makes for a fantastic experience. I have taken some pictures right before a storm and the following day when it is blue skies and calm waters. There are bars and hotels along the beach providing every amenity you could wish for. Try going to Red Sail Sports next to the Kimpton Hotel. It has everything water sports related. I would make the most of this beach whilst it is in this condition - pristine clean water and a beach all to yourself. Heaven.

This is definitely one of the top beaches in the Caribbean, and even all other beaches I've been to. It rivals the famous White Beach in Boracay Philippines. Aqua marine colors, fine yellow white sand, clear waters and the temperature was perfect in November. If you're on a cruise and on a budget, skip the boat excursions and take a taxi or van from the port to 7 Mile Beach (public). Once on the beach I found walking northwards to be very beautiful.

Best beach on grand cayman. Period. The sand is super soft and fine and the water is fabulous. I could spend every sunset here for a week long vacation.

I loved this beach, the water is very clear, and the sand is very clean. They have many attractions and varieties of foods. The local people are very friendly and have very good customer service.

Get off the cruise ship. Rent a car. Take yourself to a non-touristy location. This beach was stunning and beautiful. Near the end of Seven Mile Beach at a public park. With a free parking lot. We set up our afternoon at a picnic table and a bathroom close by. (Porta potty style). We spent our afternoon swimming, walking and soaking up this beautiful view, warm waters and time away from the crowds. Truly the best day shared with my husband and friends.

Seven mile beach is definitely the best of several great beaches on the island. The water is crystal clear, and the almost white sand never seems to get hot on your feet so easy to walk on. There are areas along the beach that have some coral, so it is possible to do a bit of snorkeling. The further away from George Town you get, the traffic along the beach settles as there are always cruise ships at the George Town port.

Beautiful! Walked left along the beach away from the busy area with vendors and sun loungers, put towels on the sand and went snorkeling, lots to see including a massive ray. One of the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean. You do need to walk back to the drop off point to get a lift back to the cruise terminal.

One of the best hotels and location ever visited . From the moment we arrived 5 star experience both from facilities but especially the staff . Buffet Breakfast a must , choice and quality superb . Atmosphere around pool very chilled just have to make sure out early for the sun-beds but if you do t get them the beach and sea a match . Great free non motorised water sports Coccolobo Bar on beach gear bar and tacos for the evening Can’t wait to return .

A super duper beach! With very soft sand. Typically slow rolling 6” waves. Waist level for the first 50 feet. Great for SUP. And chillin. Lots of chairs and umbrellas outside the hotels. Tons of water sports options. Very clear water with some fish to look at. Maybe not a full 7 miles long, but that is a nonsense complaint. Here’s my review of a nice beach.

The beach is beautiful and safe. Arguably one of the nicest beaches in the Caribbean. The south end is suffering from erosion where all the seawalls are located.

Heaven on earth, this was fantastic really loved the beech the sand was white and clean the area felt safe and the water was so warm and clear only wished i had more time here the sea was safe and so enjoyable.

Beautiful beach. Sand soft and fine and family friendly. Beach drops off, from 2 feet to 4 feet not good to walk in without falling. Beer $5 USD. Taxi $6 per person to get there and $6 to get back. Mixed drinks $15. Beach chair and beach umbrella $25 USD. A tourist enrichment for the local economy.

Very clean beach, with free spaces to sit. You can rent 2 chairs and an umbrella for 25$ the beer is 6$ . The water is clear and clean. The area has toilets and showers.

Beautiful long stretch of beach. I took a lime scooter from the cruise port area up to the southern end of the beach. Much less people down this way. There is public access every block or so. Warm water, sandy bottom. Lovely place. Can’t stress how much nicer the southern half is compared to where the taxis will take you further north. No facilities further south. So take that into account.

Great beach. It is a short ride from the port. We went to the public beach and it was crowded but worth the trip. If you go further down the beach it really opens up and there are less people if you are looking for that.

Arrived there by carnival cruise, we used the taxi service to go to the beach which included a guide to assist us to book chairs and umbrella and was checking with us all the time to see if we need anything like a drink or food

An amazing place to spend your day with kids or without. Different packages offered and would recommend getting the package that allows you to snorkel with the turtles. Also has a pool and water slide for kids to enjoy. Better to start early and then relax on the beach area and also has restaurant on site to eat at. Be sure to note the timings of the feedings and activities. Also has small butterfly area and aviary, but not much to see. They have information center with a video and lots of information about turtles which is a good break to enjoy.

We had a fun experience at the Turtle center. You can easily spend several hours here, as there are so many different activities! Snorkeling among turtles and fish, swimming in the pool, water slide, wading pools with turtles. Our family had a great time!

A neat place to visit they are all about the turtles. Though they do have a bird and butterfly Avery . They have paces where you can pet them and if you pay extra you can swing with them. For the lower entry fee you can wade in a small tank and pet them also. Surprisingly the gift shop is not over priced things were actually the same price or lower than other places we look at. It is a little run down but I feel like they are doing a good job of education and helping the population of turtles grow. It is a good way to help out a good cause and experience some neat stuff.

Amazing experience! My husband and I visited last week in January of 2024 and this was one of the highlights of our entire trip. We visited expecting to spend a few hours and spent the entire day here! I highly recommend the snorkeling option! One side of the lagoon is shallow until you get to the back, and one side is deeper water the entire way. Make sure to pop up and check out all the creatures on the islands in the middle of the lagoon too! The lagoon beach is also big enough for kids to play in the sand and/or relax in the available chairs. Changing rooms are on site near the lagoon. The aviary was very cool as well; for a small donation you can feed the birds, just ask the aviary worker. We were able to feed the scarlet ibis, which come up and perch on your arm! Very cool. The pool and water slide looked fun but we did not enter just because we chose to snorkel again before leaving. The touch tanks and wade pools are neat as well! Even if it is not the season for the hatchery to be open, still stop in and visit. There is lots of information about conservation and what they do to help sustain the turtle population. You can stop by the small snack stand near the front office to buy some turtle food for the breeding tank, or watch their feeding at the end of the day. We also enjoyed the restaurant inside of the center! We were pleasantly surprised at the portions for the price. We will definitely be visiting again in the future with our kids!

Fun day had by all in our group. The swim experience with the turtles was great. Staff very friendly and informative. Had a good look around the breeding ponds lots of info on the conservation efforts made by the centre. The world needs more centre's like this one. The extra aviary was good to visit and get very close to the birds, definitely try feeding them they love it, buy the grain from the attendant and follow their instructions. The shark tank was great to see and watch them being fed, very informative session helped me to identify nurse sharks snorkeling in the sea the following day. Finally the fresh water swimming pool is a great way to finish the visit and cool off before visiting the gift shop. My advice book your visit now.

This place is amazing! You can touch the younger turtles and swim with the big ones. It's very informative and fun! Absolutely worth going!

We explored the Turtle Center as part of the excursion on our cruise. We enjoyed the park very much! But had to give a special shout out to Tony our tour guide. He did a great job explaining the facility and how they help the turtles year round. He was very funny and kind! There were two different places to eat but we ate the bigger place in the park. It was lunch type foods with a bar. We were able look at the VERY large turtles and then enter into small tanks with smaller turtles. There was an area to snorkel and a few other activities but we didn’t do any of those. Would be a fun place to bring kids!

My fiancé and I had a really great time here on vacation. We bought the premium tickets and I think they were well-worth it! Snorkeling alongside the turtles was incredible- there are lots of them and you can spend as long as you want floating with them all around you. The pool and water slide are great too. The aviary is awesome- for $1 you can feed the birds and they’ll jump up on you & eat from your hand.

This a great family experience, and the children will love it. They offer snorkeling with the fishes and turtles in a man made pool. You have various stages of turtle development in sections. They are magnificent creatures. One aquarium has the wow factor... a pair of nurse sharks. I would advise you to dress very comfortably because it can be very hot. Take your beach wears and chairs with water. It's best going in the morning or evening when it's cooler because midday, I was burning up, it was very hot for me. This depends on the time of year I visit in July.

Snorkeling with the turtles was a cool experience. We also went to the turtle feeding in the breeding pond which was a spectacular sight! We watched the crocodile feeding as well as the educational video in the hatchery. One thing I wish I knew was that there are lockers, but you need to bring your own lock. There is a locker room with showers and a changing area. They also include snorkel gear rental if you buy the tickets that include swimming with the turtles. Bring your own towels. The place doesn’t have much shade which makes it hard to stay too long. Overall it felt like a good value for the money.

Fun place to visit. The food was good and the staff was helpful. We loved the turtles and we're excited to return as soon as we are able to. Our "exit through the gift shop" went better than expected. One guest said it was the most reasonably priced gift shop he had seen and I agreed.

Snorkeling with the turtles was the most amazing experience. Worth every penny! The only sad thing was the turtles forced to be in small enclosures that clearly didn't want to be there so people had them trapped to touch. If you want to touch them pay extra to snorkel with them. It's unfair to keep them trapped! Lots of learning while there too. Babies to breeding age. Amazing!

Amazing experience. Totally worth it if you are on the island especially if you like turtles. You can swim with them, touch the little ones in the pool. It is a kid friendly experience. They offer snorkels at no extra charge. There is a water park for the kids. Really good experience!

Imagine an empty parking lot and put a bunch of ponds and put turtles in it. You have this place. It is a small park with a bunch of ponds that have sea turtles in it, and they all come to you expecting to get fed. Do not expect much, but think of it as a donation to help the sea turtle population. The park does a great job helping the sea turtles from going extinct. There are touch tanks that you can feel what the sea turtle's skin and shell feels like. Also, you get to see the last Cayman's crocodile and the history of how the islands got its name. If you pay more for the entrance, you get to snorkel in their big pond with the fishes and sea turtles. There is a small water park for he kids with slides next to it. Parking is free, and there are so many spots that you do not have to worry about finding one any time of the day.

Turtles are so cool. Lots to see and touch and swim with. Only reason it's just a 4 is that they really seem to be missing more of the informational aspect. They do so much great work but outside a little "information center" it's mostly non-existent. I think plenty of people would want to learn more too, not just splash on a water slide.

Excellent choice for a family. There's a few things to do here, not just looking at turtles. They have a crocodile on site. They also allow you the ability to swim/snorkel with the turtles and other fishes. There is a mini beach area and splash pad. There's a restaurant on site, however I read the food was okay so we decided to eat off-site. They had a butterfly observatory. However it was not butterfly season, so we did not see any. There was also a bird observatory. It was a very cool experience. Everyone was friendly. Took time to educate us and the kids really really enjoyed it. I will definitely go back and participate in the swimming with the turtles. Also if you took a cruise to the Caymans it's way cheaper to catch a taxi there and pay for your ticket at the center. The cruise charges hundreds as an excursion, and it's just a $8 taxi and $20 ticket at the door. And across the street is a dolphin observatory as well.

This is one of the best attractions on the island, the staff are truly devoted to showcasing the conservation of the turtles throughout their life cycle. The aviary is a beautiful blast of colour with beautiful ibis and you can even snorkel with the turtles! Every single time I come back to the island will feature a visit with my family. 100% can't miss

I felt like a kid in an amusement park! It was so fun to be able to walk around and see so many different attractions in such a small area. The snorkeling was definitely one of our favorites but seeing the other attractions was great too. We also had lunch at the restaurant on property and thought the drinks and food were delicious!

It was such an awesome experience! I started my time there swimming in turtle bay. The attendant there was very helpful and nice. Then I dried off and explored the other areas of the park. I learned so much about the turtles, the crocodile, sharks, and birds you take care of at the centre! I would definitely visit again when I come back to Cayman.

We visited the center on Friday and it was fabulous. There was a free shuttle that picked up and dropped off at our hotel. We heard the cruise ships were in port Tues-Thurs so we intentionally went Friday to avoid those crowds. We ate at the restaurant on site and highly recommend. The food was really good (I loved the jerk chicken wrap) and the smoothies were refreshing. It wasn't the typical type of food/quality we are used to at a place like this so it was a welcome surprise with lots of variety. You eat right on the lagoon so the views are awesome too. The lagoon to swim with the turtles is an awesome experience, but set your expectations on the water to include algae which is good for the turtles but vastly different from the crystal clear beaches we've gotten used to on the island. This is a definite stop for all ages. We loved all the turtles, shark feeding (11am during the week), pool with water slide, etc. The gift shop was even awesome with tons of variety and priced pretty fair. A must do when visiting Grand Cayman.

The Cayman Turtle Centre is a great for families. We stopped in during a cruise and loved it. You can swim with the animals, feed birds, even stand in the baby turtle tanks and pet them as they swim by. There is a restaurant on site that offers beverages (including alcohol) and food. They have a very nice gift shop with reasonable prices too

Friends and I were on a girl's trip, cruising Carnival Horizon. This was a wonderful way to spend our day in Grand Cayman. We bought our tickets direct, and took the public bus to get to and from. It was simple and affordable. I can't recommend it enough ❤️

Amazing experience! This is an entire day of activities for the family! Must go! There is ample parking across the street near the dolphin experience. There is a bird sanctuary with some local birds. The guide inside was friendly and informative. There is a lazy river where you're able to interact with the turtles and a cute beach section. There's also a restaurant for a bit of relaxation and fuel before you leave. The gift shop was well stocked worth unique items!

Visited this center as part of an excursion in the cayman Islands from a cruise in March this year. If I had young kids I probably would have rated this closer to 5 stars. The center is educational and interesting with lots of turtles to look at and you can interact with them as well. However outside of viewing the turtles which takes maybe an hour there is really nothing to do here other than sit at a kiddies pool with water slides or a man-made beach. There is also a restaurant on site which we did not try and of course a gift shop with lots of things to buy!! The excursion was around 5 hours long including 25 minute bus ride each way but for me not worth the cost. Again if you have young kids I think you would probably rate this higher.

Omg! Visited while on a cruise and am planning to return to the island just to visit this place again. There is a lot to do. The best part is the natural lagoon you can snorkel in with the turtles. There is an artificial beach next to the lagoon. You can pet the baby turtles and get into the wading pools with bigger ones. There is also a butterfly house, bird house, and small water park. Go!

I am next level obsessed with sea turtles, so this was the perfect excursion on our celebrity cruise. I loved it so much! Especially the touch tank where you can get in and touch the younger turtles. Gorgeous creatures and highly recommend this experience if you get a chance!

There were many turtles of various ages/sizes, and I also enjoyed the predator reef section with the nursing sharks, and the aviary. The food is the restaurant was excellent. We had conch, yam fries, and jerk chicken and enjoyed all three. The butterfly House is still closed, and the nature trail would have benefitted from more information signage in places.

Very unique and interesting place. Don’t forget to walk over to the post office next door and send a postcard from here, it will have a stamp / chop from “Hell Post Office”, if you go on a Sat / Sunday, the souvenir shops near the post office usually have postcards and stamps and they can post for you.

What can i say its one of theses places that is a must visit for a first time visitor the the Caymans. If you go here you can say i went to hell. This is a small area with a few shops for gifts etc the main part is a rocky wildlife habitat which when you see it you will understand why its call Hell.

A little overhyped. Don't expect too much, you'd be disappointed. Just some spiky rocks covering a considerable size of land. U can pick up some "hell souvenirs" from the shops and send a mail from the post office. Place might need some renovations and probably some innovative ideas to make it more worth the visit.

Such a great place to visit if you’re in town! You can mail something home and it will say it’s from Hell!!! Super cool stop. The history of this land is fascinating- our tour guide told us about it. Great souvenirs shop owners

Anti-climatic honestly. If you look at the photos in this review, you’ll see everything it has to offer. It’s incredibly small and the gift shops didn’t have much product during our visit. The shop owners were very friendly and pleasant though!

The rock formations were amazing to look at and there were signs telling the history. The owner of the store was great, he shared a video with us and was very helpful. We were even able to send a postcard from Hell.

Another shore excursion. Interesting site. They city is actually called Hell because of the rock formations. You can get a post card and they will stamp and send it as they are a post office as well so you actually can send a post card from Hell to friends or family or people that you like! There is no cost to look at the rock formations and there is a gift shop with the typical touristy fare.

Located at the far north-west end of the Island, off the beaten track. This is a curious little stop. The rock formation is very peculiar and worth a look if you are passing through.

An interesting area to visit. Nothing really to see other than some outcroppings of rocks and lush vegetation around it. I can see why they call it Hell but it amounted to an approximate visit of 10 minutes and then on my way again...but when else can you say you have been to Hell and back?

It’s really cool to see this geological site and understand a little more about its history. The site has a souvenir shop and many fun sites linked to the Hell theme. It was a fun 15 minute stop on our journey round the island!

Hell rock formations are a quick visit stop. Sending home a letter or to a friend from the "Hell Post Office" is a fun option.

It's worth a stop if you are in the area already. We spent about 10 minutes here. There's a short boardwalk overlooking rock formations with a few signs. The are also a few shops, but only one very small gift shop was open when we went. (They did have a friendly shop cat though!)

We weren’t sure what to expect but we found a quaint & pleasant little town with an iron skeleton! Mr. mcDoom couldn’t have been nicer & took our photo in front of the “ Welcome to Hell” sign. He has t shirts, postcards and more at his shop so be sure to stop by there when you visit! The dead coral (iron) looks like what we would imagine in hell. Very interesting terrain!

If you are staying near 7 Mile Beach or the West End, give this place a quick visit. 10 mins to pop into the store, check out the black limestone formations behind it, read the story of how this town got its name and of course...send a post card or 2!! 😊

An interesting place to visit. They have a few gift shops. The rock formations are awesome to see in person. They accept Cayman dollars and US dollars. From the cruise port, go to the bus depot (a 10 minute walk) for a cheap way to visit. It cost us $2.50 US one way for each person. Much cheaper than a taxi. A bus arrived within 10 minutes of us waiting to return to the bus depot.

Interesting to see the rock formations but not much else going on. In 5 mins you have your eyeful of what the site is all about. I think we may have turned into an unofficial venue because as we were leaving we saw another location right next door that seemed a bit more formal. Our guide was just about to close up but was kind enough to let us walk out to the lookout at the rear and shared some of the backstory behind the name etc.

Nothing here. A sign that says welcome to Hell. Not a city. Just a location. But it is cool to say you have been to Hell. It only takes 5 mins to get a picture and then get the He… out of there!

Stopped by during a tour of the Island. It's different, not for everyone. Used the word Hell in every sentence. That was pretty cool. Chickens and roosters all over the place.

It's FREE to go see. A small family owned Hell. We met the daughter, Mel from Hell! She was very in character 😊 using hell in every sentence! They have some funny tshirts, souvenirs, and even a post box you can mail your postcards from Hell to friends and family 😈🔥

Only here yall could see blu iguana. Walk the trial is very very hot 100f so drink up. There was "johnny" walk up 2 the front door 2 greet us. The lady works here said he likes talking 2 her. Visit the conservation where they house many big iguanas Lots mosquitoes so bring the spray & enjoy nature

We all really enjoyed the morning we spent at the botanical gardens. The gardens were nicely spread out and very well maintained, though the complementary map/ guide left a bit to be desired. We ran across several wild iguanas, a handful of lovely birds, and a couple of turtles. The iguana conservatory also provided a bit of excitement and interest. Didn't see any flowering orchids in that Garden/ Grove, but the Color Garden was stunning.

Amazing park. Very chill place to wander around. We saw a "Cayman rabbit", a small snake, little turtles, lots of birds. Didn't see a blue iguana though. They closed the conservation area at 12:30, earlier than usual, so we missed it. We went on Saturday and still barely met any people. There are many places to sit and take a break with a nice view. Gazebo is really nice. They also sell snacks: good ice cream, drinks. Overall, we really enjoyed the experience.

Great place to walk around and explore the grounds. We went early in the morning to avoid some of the heat. While the orchards were not blooming there was plenty else to see. There are also lots of Blue Iguanas roaming freely as you near the woodlands trail. The woodlands trail to the Blue Iguana conservation center was very peaceful walk. The staff that we encountered were all very friendly. Highly recommend if your looking to do something other then a beach day, plus there are some good restaurants / attractions nearby.

Highly recommend visiting this Park! The Blue Iguana Tour was closed when we visited, but make sure to plan your trip to include that tour as it is worth while! Very helpful staff. Plenty of parking available too.

This is a beautiful place to visit if you enjoy botanic gardens and nature, and makes for a great activity on cloudy days. You can book a tour or just browse the gardens on your own. We decided to browse and take our time. It was amazing to see the blue iguanas wandering around and all of the stunning plants. It was lush and tropical! Also one of the tour guides was kind enough to give us tips on his favorite spots to see in the garden, and we were lucky enough to catch the rare jade vines starting to bloom!

Home of the endangered Blue Iguana. True to its reputation there was indeed a huge Blue Iguana waiting on the lawn when we arrived (and not the plastic one either). Mission accomplished. We could probably have turned around, but I sure am glad we didn't. The gardens are stunning, especially the colour garden. I especially enjoyed the Caymanian homestead setup, with medicinal plants and fruit trees. It's a great place to make a wish list of things you have never eaten. Although it isn't blooming season for the orchids, we had fun hunting for the hidden flowers and spotted 5. On the woodlands walk, we were treated to an industrious woodpecker and an untagged baby Iguana. And there was a Cayman Racer (snake) in a potplant on the way out, too.

As it was a windy day we decided to check out the botanical gardens. Normally you would have to pry us off the beach or pool but this was actually a worthwhile alternative with beautiful interesting orchids, flowers, herbs and fruit trees. Apparently August- September is when you see a lot more flowers but it was still beautiful. Highly recommended.

I love botanic gardens and this one doesn't disappoint. Peaceful walk through with beautiful flowers and nature. We saw wild Cayman Parrots wild blue iguanas as well as other native birds. If you like a little hike with a beautiful garden/park all around you, this is the place for you. The staff was helpful, friendly and the gift shop had some of the best souvenirs we found on the island.

Beautiful, peaceful and magical gardens, filled with exotic plants. We also saw Blue Iguana up close, parrots, other native birds, butterflies and Agouti. Good value for the entry tickets.

This is a MUST on the island. So neat to see the blue iguanas and all the plants. The one thing we wish we would have done is the guided tour. Hal offered me a ride back to the visitors center in the sweltering heat and gave me a half a tour and it was my favourite part! Had we known how engaging and fun he was, we definitely would have paid the extra for a guided tour.

Exceeded expectations - Blue Iguanas were very cool, and the tower overlooks the forest canopy and can see for miles. If you have kids, they have a nice park for them to run around that is like new and immaculately maintained.

Wonderful place place to visit. So many plants and animals to see. Soo many details to look for. Definitely recommend others to visit. It was also a nice break for the coastal winds. Friendly staff. Great afternoon!

Amazing gardens and great experiences with the Blue Iguana! This is really worth it! Would visit again! Lots of different gardens- color garden, tree garden, etc. There is a woodland walk that is worth doing! Would recommend highly and visit again!

This is a very nice botanical garden and blue iguana sanctuary. The gardens are pretty and designed to provide a decent amount of shade as you walk through them. There are several different gardens with various themes, including an orchid garden. (Unfortunately not very many were blooming in September.) We saw quite a few blue iguanas (including one in the parking lot and many more in the gardens), parrots, agouti, and some other varieties of lizards, so if your enjoy spotting wildlife as well as looking at tropical plants, this is a great choice. The gift shop is pretty good too if you're into that kind of thing, and they have several restrooms available throughout the gardens.

Beautiful plants and plenty of blue iguanas to see. The kids area with splash pad and playground is fantastic!

Loved this place! Went on a weekday and it wasn’t busy. It was even a cruise ship day, but not crowded. We were lucky to see a lot of big and small blue iguanas around the property walking freely. Walking around the entire property was fun and easy to do. All flat walking, which was nice as I am pregnant. Mosquitoes weren’t bad like all the other reviews, and I usually get eaten alive by them. I did have mosquito spray. Bring your own water jug-it gets hot in the summer. We went in July. The blue iguana conservation was cool. There were some employees there and we got a chance to ask a lot of questions. FYI it is off to the side and looks like it’s closed or locked, but you just have to pull up on the latch to open the gate. Hours of operation are listed online. Highly recommend this stop in the Caymans!
