Nice Zoo with an amazing vegetation, very groomed garden but I missed a few animals like lokal spiders the Hercules beetle and the Martinique Lancehead. And it's quite expensive.

What a great zoo, was surprised by the amount of different animals actually on show , it's set in beautiful landscape , it reminds me of Jurassic park and you half expected a t rex to come bursting through the rainforest , it was a organised trip while on a cruise , just wish I could have stayed longer

Great little zoo in the ruins of an old rum distillery. Entrance fee is 17,5 euros. They have signs in French and English. Cool little exhibit on pirates at the end as well.

Perfect zoo to visit with young kids! Takes about 1.5hr to walk through the beautiful grounds/garden. Very well signage within the zoo. Just for the vegetation is worth the price plus you don’t feel like it’s cages after cages. Lots of space. Easy walk even with a stroller. Highly recommend!

Amazing experience! Please don't come looking for bigger animals like you might find in a larger US zoo. This zoo is built into the environment and features local creatures, large and small. The small primates were very curious and the aviaries were plentiful with activity. The scenery of the abandoned factory / ruins cannot be described and must be experienced. Takes about an hour, and would definitely come back if I return to the island.

The zoo is an excellent attraction for families in the area. The grounds, wow, the park is located in a tight Valley and they worked there enclosures within the ruins of Saint Pierre. There is a wide variety of animals, but become they a more free to roam in larger enclosures they can be difficult to see sometimes. But honestly the most impressive thing is the landscaping. Incredible. Worth to the visit!

This is a nice zoo. It is smaller, so it lacks a large variety of animals, but it is also a garden. The ruins it is built in are amazing to look at and make it a rather unique experience – especially the history and construction of the mill. Some places in the zoo simply are breathtaking. I recommend it as a place to reconnect with nature.

Small but entertaining zoo for adults and children alike. Got the ticket sale in conjunction with Balata Gardens. The zoo's grounds are in a former Rum Distillery.

This review is about the parking lot: we arrived here at 8am this morning and there were 10 cars parked already at the regular parking spots. There are around 15 spots in total at the bottom of the parking. Around 15:00 there were maybe 100 cars, people park everywhere and on the side of a super tight and curvy road. There is no way to make a maneuver and two cars cannot pass at the same time. Either go early in the morning (before 8:30am) or know what to expect.

Nice place to relax. Could be challenging to find the place for car parking.

A beautiful black sand beach with a 5-10 minute walk through the trees to get there. There’s also a waterfall hike and another wooded hike. The snorkeling was only okay when we were there, but the water was clear. I saw a few interesting schools of fish. It is secluded, but after 12:00 or 13:00 more people arrived.

Long way, narrow road and small car park. This is not a good spot for snorkelling because of the waves. If you want to visit anyway, I recommend the 1st beach..

Overrated. Very difficult access by car! Degraded and difficult road. On busy weekend days is even worst. Beware at your rented car. Short walk across the tropical forest in order to reach the beach. There are more beautiful beaches on the island with good access.

Very nice habitation with a majestic view dominating the ocean. The visit isn't too long, but definitely enjoyable. The tasting is sadly limited to a single consumption (the Port cask is excellent!). Prices are quite cheaper than what you can find in regular supermarkets, so make sure you buy what you need directly at the habitation! Enjoy the visit

It sure is easy to get carried away by the beauty of the estate. You can do a free tour of the distillery. If you want to enter the villa, however, you have to pay a small entrance fee. (Attention: They sold tickets for 5€ and 7€ depending if you want one or two tastings in the end. We chose option 1 and still got to taste more rums. Others did not visit the villa and still got a free tasting.)

A nice distillery but the tasting is just trying without explanation. You get the feeling they just do it because they have. Actually they only want to sell their rum.

Depaz has a beautiful property. The castle is definitely a highlight, it is stunning. The whole site is well maintained and visitors have it easy to get around. The only disappointment: While most distilleries let you try several different rums, they just give you one single tiny sip to taste. That makes is kind of difficult to decide if it's worth buying a bottle.

Oh, yes! A really beautiful distillery in the heart of Martinique. A beautiful big house and a beautiful factory with a beautiful hiking trail. Their Rum is great!

Very nice place. The road uphill to the distillery is very nice. The distillery and the site are Truly worth the visit. We had the opportunity to try their rum at the shop. The staff is not very friendly, we found them rather rude. The offer the rum trial as if they don’t want clients to buy the rum. One of the positive points is the property’s guidance. You connect to their wifi and have automatically the guide. It is nice to be able to do a self guide of the property in the mobile phone and for free. Only visiting the mansion is chargeable (5 euros). You must buy the ticket at the shop. The property is beautiful, the rums are worth trying, and the restaurant on premise is both delightful and the restaurant’s staff is very friendly, unlike the people at the distillery’s shop.

Absolutely beautiful grounds, well maintained and an incredible view toward the sea. The tour is free to walk a marked path that takes you around the grounds and certain areas of the distillery. There is a paid tour of the Chateau Depaz but it does not run on certain days, best check with the counter. Depaz Rhum is fantastic and I think offer a different flavour when compared to other distilleries that don't have the advantage of volcanic soil to grow the sugar canne. Definitely one of the distilleries on the island you should visit.

Rum is the drink of choice on the islands and this beautiful distillery was a gem. The drive to get there was fascinating, as you drive by Mt. Pelee, which was alternately shrouded in clouds and sun. The grounds were well kept and appealing, and they had a tasting room and were very eager to let you sample their wares. There was also a well set up tour and some great photo opportunities. Best of all, the main house was magnificent.

Take plenty of water and do all the trails. You won't regret it. We were hiking for 9 hours.

There's something terrifying, haunting, and ultimately beautiful about this trek. I love how life can provide all that to us inside a single experience ❤️

Nice challenging ascent. You need to be in shape. Upstairs is a fairly decent view of the whole island. For me, one of the best places in Martinique. :) Often bad weather is there so must be lucky👍😛

It is great I was there last summer I was there it’s beautiful with delicate green flowers and the smell was ok, it was a great place and also your picture looks so good.👍

It is just a fantastic fascinating captivating place. The air, clouds and wood are just wonderful. Just go there and take an umbrella with you 😉

Lost in the arboretum... quiet jungle

This is a magnificent park that is definitely worth the journey and small fee. There are so many photo opportunities there.

Very nice (if somewhat small) waterfall in a lush setting that is easily accessible along a mountain road to Saint-Pierre. Worth the stop for sure!

This place is packed with tourists! Do your research as there are better waterfalls all over the island.

2 minutes walk to the waterfall. Beautiful place. Great place for kids to play in the stream or in the pool near the waterfall. Must stop on the way.
