Beautiful zoo. Very natural animals, fit, well-groomed. Prices in the upper range with 70 euros for 3 people. The employees were consistently friendly. Parking was a 5 minute walk away. The playground is an absolute must for the children, so make sure you plan enough time! And in any case, DO NOT leave the zoo without having an ice cream 🍦 It tastes fantastic.

This zoo was such a disappointment. If you expect a serious conservational effort and educational experience, this is not the place for you. It is more of a thematic animal enclosure experience geared towards children amusement. Mini theme park for kids. They lack staff, and the animals lack proper climate controlled enclosures. They have a whole section dedicated to safari animals, and either they were hiding from the cold so you didn't see them at all, or they were huddled together shivering. It was a really sad sight; much pity for the animals. Definitely don't visit during winter. Even in summer I'd think twice.. Fortunately the staff were kind enough to issue a refund.

This is a beautiful zoo! One of the best zoos I have seen so far. My favorite part of the zoo was the farm area. There is a huge jungle gym at the end of the zoo. My son had so much. I was able to spend the day here with my family and I can't wait to go back next time we are in town.

Recommend buying tickets a week or two in advance to pay half the price! Zoo was amazing the animals seemed very happy and lively. You could even step into the inclosure with some animals. The seal show was really worth the watch. Spent a really long time here a whole day affair. Not many restaurants open during the winter season so bring food! Boat ride was a really addition The online map isn't great and signposting could be updated but it was the best zoo I have ever been to.

Very big , and beautiful I recommend going early so you have time to see everything. Big parking , ticket is a little bit expensive but it is worth it . You can see a lot of animals , there are parks for kids . Inside you can drink,eat,rest(ofc you pay for this too) everything you need you have inside .

Just an amazing zoo, the best one I’ve ever been! I have spent 5 hours there and still didn’t see everything, you must plan a whole day for it. The highlight of it is lion’s family with 3 cubs (born 20.02.2023). They were so cute playing with each other, their mom and even serious father. I just could not leave the spot watching them for half an hour. Unfortunately the glass you are watching through is scratched and opposite sun made it even worse to look and make pictures, but they were so close, just few meters away. Amazing experience! I liked thematically made zones, never seen something like that in other zoo’s. They have feeding hours for animals so you could watch and they tell you some facts about animals but unfortunately only in German. All signs and information are in German too. People say the price 27 euro is expensive but I think it’s totally worth it and you can actually have much cheaper price (15 euro) if you book few weeks in advance through internet. Must see in Hannover!

I was disappointed as I felt I didn’t get my money’s worth. Most animals were either too far or in hiding. Cafes were closed and the boat ride was under maintenance. The zoo isn’t a handicapped friendly place at least for me personally. All animal descriptions & information was in German so as a non native speaker it wasn’t fun to google translate info about animals I wanted to know more info about.

Wonderful experience! We went on a Tuesday morning when it was not very crowded. There were groups of school children with their clipboards, studying different animals- that was pretty cool. But, the zoo has a varied collection of animals, with some bot very common to zoos. They also had a petting area with cows and goats and sheep. The Polar Bears are a beauty to watch.

Very nice zoo with good parking possibility, restaurants and play grounds for children are available. The boat ride is amazing and in weekends, it may have around 15 minutes waiting time, which not that much, but worth to do it. For someone leaving around hannover, buying the annual ticket is better than the day ticket.

In every angle, this city hall will always deliver a photo perfect view. You can go inside and explore this architecture or go wander outside and walk around the mini lake. During summer, you will see a lot of people enjoying their time having picnic on the garden or chit chatting with their friends and loved ones.

Hanover New Town Hall is a building worth visiting for both history and architecture lovers. This time I looked for architectural lines in it that I had not seen before and this building surprised me again. Spiral staircases, columns, arches, doors, balustrades, the golden ratio, domes, ornamentation, reflections - these are just some of the things that this building delights, encourages discovery and engages. A visit here is a must when in Hanover. Today, the city municipality is located here, maybe that's why entrance without a tour is free. There is also paid parking at the town hall itself.

This is a MUST in your list of places to visit in Hannover. Unfortunately the access to the terrace and the 360 Panasonic view is currently unavailable because of COVID. The entrance to the hall is free and you will get surprised by some city representations (after the war, back in the earliest 20s, currently..). It's a beautiful visit.

The New Town Hall (Neues Rathaus) rises with its beauty in the center of Lower Saxony capital just by a small pond and big Maschsee Lake. It's the seat of Municipal government being built in the early 20c, replacing the old medieval Town Hall which is in Altstadt (old town). Visiting is totally free except climbing the Dome. Amazing and rich in details architecture both, outside and inside. Most interesting I found four big and precise models of Hannover over ages. The first is from 1689 as a fortified medieval town. After that two models from 1939 and 1945 show the city before and after WWII when it was totally demolished, and finally the fourth one represents the modern and prosperous city of today. Free to visit are also terrific mosaics on the first floor. Climbing the Dome is paying few Euros, but problem is the waiting time (in our case over an hour) so we didn't make it

In the new town hall you can go inside and see some models of the old town. But for me the beauty on the outside is the most important thing, and it's very well done.

A great place … the central hall was pointed out to us buy a member of the tourist information. He also recommended a book The Red Thread . Which then had us on a tourist route , great help and well worth the 3€. The main reason for visit was to ascend the (not straight)lift to the top of the tower , absolutely fantastic and views were as you would expect perfect.

Stunning building with a viewing deck on top of the dome! Only 6 people can go up at a time so there’s a bit of a waiting time but you can stay as much as you want and admire Hannover from above! There are three viewing platform levels that offer a full panoramic view of Hannover.

It is a wonderful Townhall. The building is excellent. The problem is definitely going up with the lift as it is only restricted to 6 people and we have to go to the third floor to take a lift. The waiting time is unfortunately too long. You can buy a ticket for four euro per person at the entrance.

Very nice Rathaus. But still I believe the one in Hamburg is nicer 😁 apparently you can go up and take photos from the top the city. But it is currently closed and opens in spring again

Just the symbol of Hannover! The most beautiful Rathaus I have ever seen. The location near lake makes it even more magnificent. It is worth to go to the observation desk - views are breathtaking and it costs only 4 euro. The unique elevator which takes you to the roof is very interesting too. The only thing is that you have to wait to get there as it only takes 6 people per ride. But totally must visit place. 👍

It was fascinating, Instagramable ambiance even late afternoon a lot of local tourist visited the place especially the observatory deck. There is entrance fee their cast 4 euro for adults and 3,50 for children closing time at 5:30 pm.

Nice historical building. Tower was closed, but should be a 5 star when the tower is open again. Historical 3d models of town from 1680, 1939, 1945 and today was really nice to see.

Loved it, the Garden was really nice. The only thing I think that they can improve on is the fact that most items in the museum are in German. Here's the catch, not everyone speaks German. So if the have the souvenirs that read in English or the books about botanical garden translated in English for those who can't read nor speak the language that would be awesome. Overall a really nice place to visit with kids, could be use for educational purposes. Well maintained.

While the palace may not be as marvellous as the Sans Souci castle, the vast garden is wonderful: beautifully crafted and maintained garden with colourfully flowers, tall trees, mini gardens and fountains (especially the tall one). When you wander far from the palace, the path is close to a canal and much quieter. The place is overall not overly crowded by tourists, which makes the visit and long walks more enjoyable

If you go during Monday to Wednesday that fee is less, if you are a student from Mon-Wed it costs 1,50 but during the other days it is 4,50 maybe more, depending whether you want to go to the museum or not (which is closed now). I would advice any person that goes wants to go there to go during spring/summer time, as in winter time there’s no flowers and everything looks a bit dead. Apart from that, it is such a beautiful place and it has a lot of history.

There is always a reason to keep coming back here, the gardens are just so beautifully designed and well maintained. Keep your eye out for events over the festival period, makes a great location to take in some culture. Really to get money's worth from admission price, pack a picnic basket and spend an afternoon inside.

Extensive gardens on a monumental scale. The layout is symmetrical and there are many garden rooms you can visit including the re-creation of a Rococo and Baroque garden. Much statuary and many fountains as well.

Really beautiful Garten. We went there on last Friday. Unfortunately the flowers are still blooming. If you are planning here and sea life you can buy both tickets together with discount prices. Visit there website before you go then you can find out there special festivals events.

Beautiful gardens and building. I was there for a conference and the facilities are top-class: the lecture room in particular had an outlet for every seat, comfy chairs, and pull-out desks. The gardens are similarly fantastic. The flowers are meticulously cared for and the arrangement of the gardens is beautiful. The fountain is also amazing and so high! Do note it only runs part of the day, so it's worth checking times and going when it's on!

Nice park to walk around. There are some interesting statues and fountains. I think it’s worth getting the combo ticket that includes Berggarten and Herrenhauser.

The big garden really impresses with manicured gardens that are absolutely gorgeous. At the same time the Berggarten fascinates with letting the visitor feels as if in they’re in nature enjoying different plants that grow there. There are also great opportunities to rest at both gardens. Staff has always been really nice and with a yearly ticket it’s quite affordable as well. Highly recommend. The Berggarten is right across the street from the big garden.

One of the nicest places in the region of Hannover. Notes: avoid noon time visits because the fountains stop watering; bring some snacks/drinks for a picnic. I rated 3 stars by comparing it to gardens in other European countries but if you live or are passing by Niedersachsen it’s definitely worth visiting in summer/spring.

A must visit location when travelling Hannover, Germany. With the regular ticket €8 (for €5 students) a person can visit the museum, the garden and beer garden [on the other side of the road). However, one can visit the three different zones on separate days (each only for once). A very large Baroque-style garden lined with well-trimmed trees and marble statues. Not all the flowers were in bloom, and the ponds were not super clean. Not crowded nor noisy; a great place to relax.

This is worth visiting. It’s a beautiful and enchanting place to be at. The fountains, the greenery and the palace are beautiful. I personally enjoyed the grotto which was actually the highlight of my visit.

One of the very beautiful places in Niedersachsen (Lower Saxony) state. I would highly recommend visiting it. The lake is surrounded by biking lane and suitable for both walking and jogging. Good for family activities. The lake is very beautiful the surrounding area is very green. It is an excellent place for relaxing. The connections are available.

Beautiful place to visit, lots of green and space to enjoy nature. There is quite a variety of thing you can do around it. Biking, walking, jogging, bathing (on the assigned area), rowing one of their boats, visiting some of the restaurante that are around it or just enjoying the sunset. It’s a great point to relax, chill and have a good time. Not to mention that once a year they have the Maschseefest, which is really fun to visit. Definitely one of the most beautiful places to visit in Hannover with your family, friends or even by yourself all year long.

Come a little early, 2G is valid, there are no cash, only a card, there is a cafe and it works. Impressions after the oceanarium were good! Recommend

Marked it down by one star due the fact that we still had to queue despite having already purchased tickets. Would be good to have two queues, one for scanning and one for purchasing. Besides that: our girls loved it

What we see is stunning, nevertheless the price of the ticket is a bit high considering the installations are old.

It was very busy so we weren’t able to see everything whilst we were there. The entry fee is also quite expensive for how much time you actually spend in there, but I also feel like it was more catered towards families with kids. The place is still very nice and clean and there are some fun things to do for kids. Also, buy tickets in advance as that saves you 2 euros!

Clean, nice and good variety of sea life animals but don't expect much as the place not big and in busy times might be a problem but overall it is a good experience

It was a very exciting experience for kids and as well as for parents. The place has wide species of aquatic habitants… The best part was walking under a huge glass chamber which was contained with big fishes and turtles. The crocodile was a good surprise… The best place to visit in Hannover in any season.

Nice place to visit. But little expensive. Small area to explore. Before going one should check online the booking slot. It is recommended to book before 3 days atleast. Small kids will definitely enjoy. There are different shows organised in different time. So if one want to see particular show such as meal time for crocodile or insect show, one should check the website before. I was expecting bit more from this but anyways it's ok. It took usually one hour to see everything completely. Shows may have 20 min extra time slot. Altogether 2 hrs time is good.

Typical meeting point "under the tail" in Hannover. Nothing special, but nice to know it is a reference for locals to meet up.

Now on the square around the monument there are houses where you can drink mulled wine, eat sausage or something sweet. The choice of food is not great, places where you can sit down, very little. Prices are too high

A statue of the Hannover King Ernest Augustus. Located just near the entrance to the train station. A popular meeting point among locals. Stairs down to the Niki-de-Saint-Phalle-Promenade shopping mall are located just near the statue.

This monument stands in tribute to Ernest Augustus, a fifth son of George III of Great Britain who was fortunate to rise to the throne thanks for Salic law that barred women from inheriting the throne. The monument is a larger than life equestrian statue of the king in the uniform of the hussars in reference to his 15th The King's Hussars officers of the British army with whom he had served. The monument literally stands in front of Hanover Central Station and along with the station, dominates the public square in which it stands. Good luck trying to get a good photo of this monument for all the people using it as shade from the sun or just a place to rest on.

Shopping in mall in Hannover was decent. Was looking for Rimowa, sadly there’s none, I had to travel to Hamburg!
