Super cool place to get a view and some history of the local area. This castle was one of many built for polish kings and is definitely the place to visit in this town. It's next to the town square which also has tons of history. The castle is older than American has even been around so it's a humbling experience. Well preserved and overall a must see if driving through/in town.

Nice, small castle only 40mins or so from Łódź. Engr there for the knight tournament. Impressed by the craft stalls outside and the entertainment inside. A good day out for all the family.

The royal Castle in Leczyca became residence of Casimir the Great IN 1406. The castle is now museum and you can visit and enjoy the arms, the middle age dresses and also the panorama from the walls.
Viorel Ciuna — Google review
Pretty castle, absolutely worth a visit. It’s small but the inside is very mysterious for its channels and rooms and the museum is very interesting. Nice town view from the top of the tower. All descriptions are in polish, no english!

It would've been nice to see some English translations or literature for those not confident with Polish. However, I was lucky to be with someone who could translate the exhibitions for me, and it was an overall enjoyable experience!

A nice twist into the castle and into the lord , who was accused of having a pact with the devil and also tried to ripp off a cross of a church after he gotten it instead of a tavern. On top a lot of old relics from stone till the early medival age.
Kay Wiesenauer — Google review
We went on Thursday, when admission is free. It's a small castle but a wonderful collection of artifacts from the area and a lot of history. The second floor has a beautiful collection of devil artwork and traditional rooms and items. You also get access to the tower with a great view.
The castle is just off the town center.
A few miles down the road is also the outdoor museum. A ticket there gets you access to the town museum and the fort. The fortified church is also within walking distance.
Family-friendly zoo featuring white tigers & many other wild animals in spacious enclosures.
Amazing! We had a trip with our preschoolers and As kids we were also happy 😁
Rare white tigers, rare white lions (beautiful small family with 4 months old cub 🥰)
Everything that one can and wants to see but its not able to travel abroad to, and its amazing! Caretakers are very helpful and informative, gave us every reason to stay. Kindly listened to our curious kids questions, and answered them all 🥰✨
Definitely A+ on everything that is going on in there, and I hope you guys will grow bigger and more beautiful! Because it's amazing! I wish you all the best! 🥳
Definitely recommend this place! 💜

Best place for kids and adults who can’t afford going for a real safari
Adam Mizio?ek — Google review
Love the experience, we come here with the kids every time we’re in Poland. The animals are visibly happier than in other zoos, the kids can get close to them, and new attractions are open all the time (latest: “swan” boat ride among islands with monkeys)
Krzysztof Wozniak — Google review
Excellent place to visit, especially for families. We spent here over 6 hours. Unfortunately every other attraction, not connected strictly to the zoo is paid, for example Figarnia.
Sandor Csanak — Google review
Really Cool zoo, a little bit overpriced as we ended spending close to 200 pln for the three of us, but at least the animals are clean and look happy
Food Reviews — Google review
Amazing zoo, feels like a safari park because you can get so close to the animals. Not a cheap day out for the family but well worth it. Don't let your children put their hands through the wire fences, it's not the best thing a parent can do, and yet many parents seem not to think about it! The main season is over (Sept) so only the cafés at the entrance and at the back of the waterworld exhibit are open. The man that set this place up is an inspiration. Go there!
Kevin Hopkins — Google review
This place is a zoo, not actual safari as animals are caged
Good place to go with kids on a one day trip , lots of animals and fun activities like feeding , joy train ride are also there
You can see zoo employees feeding animals. They have different time table for all animals
Lots of walking , keep water bottle and snacks handy
Kids will absolutely love this place , way better than Lodz zoo

Beautiful place, oldest working salt mine in Europe.
I highly recommend to everyone who don't have claustrophobia ;)

Salt mine was great, went with a family. Do not recommend to people with claustrophobia since some places can be tight! My daughter go bored half way through. Otherwise it was very cool! 👍

Absolutely brilliant time spent 600m below the surface. Engineering marvel that lets you think about millions of years that have already passed in Earth's history and formed this salt layers. The tour lasts ~2.5h.

After visiting Wieliczka (4 years ago) i think Kłodawa (despite of not being fancy and "for tourists") is much more interesting. It is an active salt mine mining pink and white salt. Did you know that Kłodawa is the 2nd place in the world after Pakistan mining Himalayan salt? Ha! Our guide was a retired saltminer - making 2hr educational and fun! At the end of our tour we got a bag of Kłodawa salt! Highly recommend!

Vast, modern, Catholic pilgrimage site with a golden cupola & a 130m tall free-standing tower.
This is called the Polish Vatican and is the largest church in Poland, and one of the largest in the world! I was there during a week day and it was very quiet. There is parking all around and it's free. If you bring some empty water bottles you can fill them up with holy water there. I highly recommend a visit to this amazing basilica.

Quite spectacular at the first glance, but I think it misses something that every place connected with any religion should have. No soul I would say. It was a nice walk though, there is a lot of things to see

You could say it’s a Polish take on Taj Mahal. Gold, history, religion, and nationalism seem to all come together seamlessly, or… do they? In any case, it’s definitely worth visiting the place for its impressive architecture and a bit surreal atmosphere.

It's a very impressive complex. It shows that it is very modern, but the architecture is imposing and the art inside is beautiful.
Upon entering we were welcomed with an organ concert. The sound blasting from all air organs made the air vibrate and it felt humbling. Definitely a monument for the centuries to come.

Nice place and view. There is also a good documetary film which shows the history of that place. The car park is quite big and inexpensive. I was there in May. It is worth to have a trip on the small ship which goes around the lake.

I always wanted to visit this place as I remember from my childhood legend of Popiel and mice.
According to this folk legend - prince Popiel ІІ was a legendary 9th century ruler of the West Slavic tribe of Goplans and Polans. As a consequence of his bad rule he was deposed, besieged by his subjects, and eaten alive by mice in a tower in Kruszwica. It is not this tower but as in every legend it could be some true.

Water park with slides & leisure pools, 25m swimming pool, ice rink, sauna zone & fitness classes.
It was really good experience. It wasn't so crowded. I strongly recommend.
Volkan Topuk — Google review
We visited this great aqua park for a family birthday. Really great place to go as it is very big with very good facilities both inside and outside.
Really liked the design of the swimming pools and slides. Also the wristbands that open lockers and verify time at the pool, both great ideas.
Only bad comments are that the life guards didn’t really manage the slides or pools very well. If my children couldn’t swim I would have been worried.
Simon Grant — Google review
As a city pool it's ok. However, there is no clear information for swimmers such as entry, exit ... The lifeguards are not very interested in the swimmers. Reasonably clean.

our family loves it here. However, wait time are crazy. Because sometimes you wait an hour to get in, they should offer reservations - would save people a lot of time!

A remarkable place, usually busy, perfect for families with children. Full of fun and attractions 😊👍 I can highly recommend this place. Outdoor for summer and indoor for other seasons.
Leszek Ciesiółka — Google review
We visited this aquapark on 06.11.18, came there around 12 o'clock, there were not much visitors, mostly people gathered after 15. Inside attractions were turned off, we asked woman on reception if they were working, she said that they WERE. But in reality periodically they were opened and this process was unpredictable. So we managed to go down with the highest one (but just once) and the lowest (3 times). So conclusion is such: we bought ticket for whole day, without attraction it's too much, 2 hours is quiet enough.

Superb family venue. I recommend to everyone who loves water! Easy in and out car park with free spaces. Greatly priced entry fees. What's not to love👍

Nice place to go to, but when it gets busy you might be stuck with no locker for the outdoor facility, which is essential when there's so many people around.

Goluchow Castle in Poland
Gołuchów Castle is a real gem in Poland that you must visit. The castle and park complex in Goluchow is today considered the most beautiful in Poland. Around 1560, the defense yard was built by Duke Rafał Leszczyński. Then his son Wacław turned the building into a magnate's residence. The most significant events in the history of the castle took place in the 19th century. In 1853 Tytus Dzialynski (owner of the castle in Kornik) bought the castle for his only son Jan. Not long after, Jan Działyński married Izabella, daughter of Prince Adam Czartoryski, leader of the Hotel Lambert faction. Izabella transformed the residence into a chateau in the style of the French Renaissance (a wealth of details). She brought artists from there: architects, sculptors and painters.
Louati Aymen — Google review
A beautiful place in outstanding grounds. However, the entrance procedure is currently a real hassle. Yes, I understand that they are not letting any more than 10 people in at a time due to Covid. But to expect us to wait for an hour outside is unacceptable. They should introduce an online ticketing system. As it is we completely wasted unnecessary time waiting and as a result our plans for the rest of the day were ruined. Still it's worth a visit. They just need to improve their ticketing system...and hopefully after reading this, they will.

I was there in the winter, so was everything white, because of the snow. I'm from Brazil, so in Poland was my first time seeing the snow like that, for me was really special and beauty. Of course was cold, but was so interesting see the typical Poland's animals, the castles, that I forgot about the cold hahahaha. I really loved this place and recommend for everyone.

I have loved this park since I was a kid. Great place to rest. Castle is now under renovation, but it's still worth checking it out. Looks impressive from the outside and you have nice views from the castle at the park. There's also a restaurant nearby with decent food and drinks. You can also place a blanket anywhere and enjoy the nature.

Very nice castle/Palace with a very big park in English landscape style. There was a small zoo where you could see deers, bison, wild pigs and horses. Definitely a recommendation for tourists in the area!
Heritage museum with archaeological artifacts & exhibits exploring regional & early Polish history.
Very nice! We were with a stroller and this is doable! There is a toilet for kids and changing table as well. I wish there were a bit more information about exhibits (two three words on a context) but generally all was pretty great. Movies were very interesting.

The museum was nothing special in terms of history but it was quite interactive for kids. Though for non polish speakers I wouldn't recommend it. There is no much info in English language.

Great history to learn about Gniezno , and the time when there where kings.
Patrick Wennekes — Google review
Considering this is not a free museum, it is a very basic display of copies (there seemed to be less real displayed objects than copies) and incoherent 'facts'.
For someone who might want to learn new interesting stuff about Poland as a country, there is simply not enough information or it is mostly aimed at children.
There is also a small amount of exhibitions with a pointless exhibition about the anniversary of the museum - as much as this could be a nice thought, as someone visiting that has not seen one single worker throughout the museum (or other visitors), the abandoned atmosphere of this place gave us no interest to learn specifically about the museum.
Overall, it was a place to walk about and look at objects, without learning much insight behind them.
Patrycja Ziminska (Trish) — Google review
Absolutely lovely, modern museum depicting the early years of Poland's history. The main part of the museum is divided into 3 rooms, each one with around 8 minutes of 3D movie (awesome, but there should be English subtitles, especially since all items has English descriptions)! Visiting the museum in early November we also had an opportunity to see the "Vikings in Poland?" Exhibition, which was great but it was lacking some English descriptions. Overall it's definitely worth the price, which at the time of our visit was 10 PLN (roughly 2 Euros).
Robert Multan — Google review
Nice place to learn about the origins of Poland. You can see the whole museum in around 2 hours. Awesome activities for every member of the family to learn about Polish history. There are lockers to keep your luggage, to use them you need a 2 zł coin

It’s a great place to visit, full of flower smells and beautiful views - I’d recommend it to everyone. The only small inconvenience is the price, which is quite high, as I remember. But the views recompense that totally! Especially, when there are magnolias blooming!
Dating from the 15th century, this castle reconstructed more than 400 years later, houses a museum.

Zamek v Korniku is a true hidden treasure! The rich history of its owners adds an intriguing layer to the experience, making every visit feel like a journey through time. The beautiful garden, adorned with an array of plants and trees from the Caucasus and Middle East, is a botanical marvel. It's not just a garden; it's a living tapestry of cultures and landscapes. Exploring the grounds is a delight for the senses, and it's the perfect complement to the fascinating history of the castle. Truly a must-visit destination for history buffs and nature enthusiasts alike!😌🥰🥰

Although the castle is not.big, it is really worth visiting. Its history dates back to the 15th century, and its current appearance is due to Tytus Działyński and its reconstruction in the mid-19th century in the English neo-Gothic style. Over the centuries, the castle passed from hand to hand and belonged to the Górka, Czarnkowski, Grudziński, Działyński and Zamoyski families. Currently, the castle is the seat of a unit of the Polish Academy of Sciences - the Kórnik Library. There is one of the richest libraries in Poland

From the outside it doesn't look all too special, then the pleasant, big surprise is on the inside: a beautiful floor spread out over different rooms. Special shoesleeves are provider to protect the splendid floor. Walking inside the castle will take about one hour, an hour very well spend. Don' t forget to look up. The interiour with it's floor will make you silence for a whole, somehow to make sure you absorb the beaty. It is not the most beautiful castle you will visit, but after your visit you will be very glad you have done so.

Beautiful old water castle next to a lake with a wide garden around it. To visit castle and garden both costs some money buy the garden is really beautiful with large trees where one can rest and stay in the shadows of the branches when the sun gets hot in the afternoon.
Check it the cypress with its aerial roots that look like small dwarves!
It's recommended to visit the garden in spring or autumn as the petals or the later change of colour are supposed to be the two most beautiful seasons there.
There is a parking space right in front of the castle.

Lake Malta is a picturesque body of water that offers plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities such as running and cycling. It is accompanied by various attractions, and walking around it proves to be an excellent experience due to the lengthy, well-maintained path that is free from road noise. The area also boasts frequent benches and resting spots, along with some nearby eateries. You can relax on the lake's shore while enjoying bronze statues featuring local cultural themes or indulge in water sports activities.
Reminds me of Pancharevo ezero in Bulgaria, a very nice walk around, but even better because of the many things to do around. There's a train, two roads - strictly for pedestrians and one for bikers only, ice cream and some restaurants at the far end as well as a whole amusement park and a zoo if you continue a bit further, But it's fine even for just a walk. Takes about 1 - 2 hours depending on your tempo. I loved that they put an honour to the medalists!

The Poznans Croissant Museum is a museum dedicated to the history of baking croissants in a Renaissance tenement house. It features a live show where visitors can learn about the process of making croissants, as well as tastings.
The guys were extremely funny. They made people join their show. We watched a movie and one of the guys explained us the history of how it all began. The Croissant they give at the end was pretty tasty. Something to remember about this is... the art of sharing.

Admittedly, I had doubts about a “croissant museum.” Like, are there displays with hundred-year-old petrified pastries?
My opinion began to change when I saw a troop of schoolchildren leaving. Turned out to be a must-do in Poznań. It was a thoroughly entertaining and informative demonstration on the centrality of the Polish version of the croissant in Poznań history and culture. Highly recommended for anyone visiting this city.

Buying tickets for the English show online was easy. The museum is in a beautiful building in the square facing the town hall, the entrance to the building for the show however is around the back. The staff are friendly, the show was brilliant. Interactive, very informative, and full of laughs. Great view of the clock and town hall from the room the show is held in.
There are hooks for coats if you don't want to take them into the room where the show is held and there are toilets available to use as well.

At 2pm they offer an English tour, the host made an introduction on how it all started, explained that it all started for charity. He asked for 6 volunteers to help him out. While explaining the process how to do the croissants the volunteers did what he asked them to do, it was a lovely experience. Ended the tour by watching the fighting goats behind the clock. Finally he gave us a certificate and a piece of this exquisite croissants.

It was a hilarious and unexpected entertaining show. For all those who are scared to stand in front of people: the show is interactive but you are not obligated to participate. Not a museum in the traditional sense, but you will learn about the local St Martin croissant through a one hour participative experience. You will need to select a language you understand, Polish or English otherwise you will not have a clue what is going on. A fun experience and a chance to sample a croissant at the end. 37 zloty. Arrive 5-10 minutes early. Toilets available. Window view of the goat fight at 3pm

No idea why this is so highly rated. It’s not a museum and is over priced. The guys running it seem to think it’s a stand up comedy gig with a stream of inappropriate jokes, things that might have been considered funny in the 1970s... I wouldn’t recommend going here, consider going to one of the other, very interesting actual museums in Poznan. And just buy a croissant at one of the many bakeries.

I bought the tickets right there. I didn't wait too long. They have in Polish and English. Is about an hour. It was a live show and it was very funny🤣. The chef asked for volunteers and I was one of them. I had a great time with their explanations, jokes. We also saw the Goats from the window. At the end, the lady gave us fake certificates 😊 and half croissant to take with us, to taste. I recommend to visit.
Citadel Park is a large and greenery-filled park in Poznań. It's home to two war museums, a couple of cemeteries, and the iconic headless figures sculptures. The park is also great for kids as there is a playground next to a quirky restaurant called Umbreto.
Beautiful and full of history. You can visit all year around and never get bored with it. There are old military fort buildings and structures that are still accessible. There is also a military museum with the world war II exhibit (planes and tanks). The park is visited by bike raiders, runners, joggers and walkers. One of the nicest and coolest places and Poznań.

Amazing park not so far from the city centre. It is so enormous that you can easily find a quiet space to sit and rest. I recommend taking a look at the exhibition on the way to the Umberto restaurant.

Such a well kept and lovely park. There are lots of interesting statues dotted around the park and there is also a military museum located in the grounds. Well worth a trip, for a few hours of your time.
We were lucky enough to see red squirrels on our visit, which we loved.

Stary Rynek, also known as the Old Market Square, is a historic and vibrant area in Poznan. The square is home to the famous Old Town Hall where mechanical fighting goats battle each other daily at noon. Visitors can explore the Weigh House, Guardhouse, Mielzynskis and Dzialynskis palaces from the 18th century, as well as merchant houses with arcades.

The Fara Poznanska, a Catholic church in Poznan, Poland was built in the 1600s and has a pink facade. It was originally constructed for the Jesuits and took over 80 years to complete. The impressive baroque structure stands out with its ornamented facade and grand interior supported by massive columns. The church is filled with monumental altars and hosts weekly organ concerts. Guided tours are available for visitors to appreciate this historic landmark's beauty fully.
One of the most beautiful churches I visited. Extra props for the creativity with the holy water!

The Basilica of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Mary Magdalene and St. Stanislaus in Poznan, Poland is a magnificent architectural gem. The basilica is beautifully designed, with a grand exterior and a stunning interior that features intricate carvings and stained-glass windows. The basilica has a rich history, and it's a wonderful place to learn about the culture and religion of the region. The basilica is also known for its acoustics, making it an ideal location for concerts and other events. The atmosphere is peaceful and serene, making it the perfect place for reflection and meditation. Overall, the Basilica of Our Lady of Perpetual Help is a must-see for anyone visiting Poznan and is a testament to the beauty and richness of Polish culture and religion.

This is probably the most beautiful church in Poznan; built in Baroque style between 1651 & 1701 it has survived largely intact despite Wars and occupation.
I love the huge supportive Corinthian Columns and the Frescos painted across the ceiling. The Side Aisles are also beautifully decorated along with the Nave.

Genuine piece of working history .An absolute mega jewel of Polands rich depth of industrial heritage. I’d like to first say the Polish people were very nice and welcoming. Their progressive yet historic country has so much history, but when it comes to wanting modernity, look no further than Focus! I loved everything about this mall! The prices, the variety, the feel of quality, the constant stares from the public because I stick out like a sore thumb in this country, and especially THE FOOD COURT (I love great food)! If I ever find myself in Poland again I will do everything in my power to visit this mall again.

Located in the bustling heart of the town, Focus Shopping Mall offers convenience with its proximity to the market square, making it easily accessible by foot. The presence of a convenient on-site car park adds to its appeal, along with essential facilities like public toilets, escalators, and disability-friendly lifts. However, despite its size, the mall disappoints in terms of shop variety. While it’s unrealistic to anticipate high-end retailers akin to Harvey Nichols, Selfridges or Macy’s in a town the size of Zielona Góra, the limited selection of big brands is somewhat disappointing. While locals might find it adequate, those from outside might find the selection lacking. Overall, while it offers convenience, the shopping experience at Focus Shopping Mall falls short in terms of diversity and brand selection.

Quite an impressive statue. Driving on the S3 we saw this statue from afar. We decided to stop and check it out.

Good to spend 30 minutes or so while driving down the s3. An interesting break.

Very good sight of the statue even from the highway and if you take a 5min detour you can go up the hill and look at it more closely. When you arrive at the statue there is free parking and then there's a quick path that leads you to right to the statue. The statue is 36m tall so it is pretty big 😀. Overall if you are riding on the highway close to the statue it's a must see

Jesus statue is in some way impressive it is the biggest statue in the world beating the size of Jesus in Rio de Janeiro. However it won also the competition of Makabryla for the most unsuitable and unmatched sculpture with the region/environment.
The statue is not close to any of big cities, means if you want to go better plan your trip. Following the road S3 close to Swiebodzin you can see (from far) small Jesus. Surprise is that it is not founded by tax of poles but it is collection of donations from local people and investors.
I’m assuming that for religious people it will be nice place to see.

Impressive. The figure of Christ is installed on the 16 meter long embankment. The monument itself has a size of 36 m, of which 3.5 m with a crown on the head. The weight of the mesh concrete construction is 15 tons and the distance between the ends of the arms is 24 meters. The height of the structure, including the embankment, is 52.5 meters and its weight is estimated at 440 tons. The initiator of the construction of the monument was the pastor of Swiebodzin and in 2010 the monument was consecrated by Bishop Stefan Regmunt.

As much as it was a great idea, surroundings are cheesey and cheap looking. There is no access for disabled people to get to the statue. They have to stay by the little parking at the feet of the statue or they may(!) be able to get to few stations of the Cross (if that) that are built around. Even a person on crutches won't be able to get up there, or even elderly with walking difficulty. You need to climb steep metal steps to be able to get to the higher landing by the statue. I'm not disabled, but it shocked me that place like this was not designed with some common sense. As a Catholic, I'm ashamed. I'm sorry but I did not feel like I expected to. I have to admit that the road leading to the statue is very nice and beautifully landscaped. But that is all. The rest of the surroundings are not cared for.

Part of a World War II defense line, with a bunker network that included engine rooms & barracks.
Excellent English speaking guide, Magda, highly recommended as the tour was really interesting with lots of small bytes of additional info. Great ride back to the starting point in an armoured personnel carrier, Kids played on field guns and tanks. Al in all a great day out. L:ots of steps and walking but plenty of short info breaks at points if interest. Beware that there are no toilets in the bunker but you will need some drinking water as its a fair walk.

Nice experience to touch the history with our own hands. Unfortunately the guide was just exoaining in Polosh and we did not have any audio support in English, but the visit is surely worth the price of the ticket. The bunker is also a bats reserve, with over 4000 of them living in these galleries, nevertheless, due to the season we couldn't see any of them.

This wonderful historical site has very knowledgeable tour guides, lots of different tours, ranging from 1 1/2 to 8 hours, and a neat little gift shop. There are to food vendors parked outside during the day as well, with ice cream, coffee, and small snacks. The bunkers are MASSIVE, and an extraordinary thing to be able to see mostly undamaged from WW2. I reccomend anyone with an eye for history to visit this at least once

We visited the Meseritz Fortified Line as part of a battlefield tour exploring the Vistula-Oder Campaign. Upon arrival there are various pieces of armour and field guns used during the period which was interesting. We were also shown the fortified defence positions. As impressive as they were, what seriously impressed me was the guided tour on the inside by a knowledgeable young man who showed us the inside of the fortified positions. The Fortified Meseritz Line is more than a bunker. It's a complex network of train tunnels over 30km long spanning across the German defensive line. It's incredible to explore, the tour guide said to explore the entire network it can take up to 8 hours. Personally I'd love to come back and see as much as possible. Don't miss out on this incredible experience. Even if you're not interested in history, it's something to behold.

Find a sunny day to go if you really want to see the stained glass. It is a really tall church so it's hard to see it either way. The tower costs 3.50€ to climb and it's all stairs. It starts out very unevenly cut then goes spiral staircase for a while. Finally it opens up to wooden stairs and then puts you out on the roof.

A very nice looking church, the most central in the city. It is right next to the improvised Market Square, or what used to be a market square before. Looks very medieval, especially it’s bell tower, that reminds a bit of a castle tower and brings a bit of charm to the view.

I've been to better spas.....
My wife and I went here last night because we received a gift certificate for our wedding. We spent a little over 6 hours in the pool and sauna.
Unfortunately, we didn't like it that much. While the saunas themselves are great, our favorite was the panoramic sauna overlooking the lake, everything else is tiny and feels cramped. The large saltwater pool is nice, but not as relaxing. And again, the space between the pools and the beds is very small and hard to walk around.
A big positive surprise was the restaurant. We had the edamame, gyoza, mangu curry with shrimp and bun bo nam bo. It was delicious. Probably one of the best Thai meals I've had west of Phuket.
Unfortunately, the evening ended on a sour note as the parking garage is also - surprise, surprise - super cramped and I scratched the rims of our car going down the super narrow ramp.
To sum up: we've been here, but we prefer the SpreewaldTherme in Burg or the VaBali Spa in Berlin.

Amazing spa experience! Beautiful, warm, clean and relaxing. Especially loved the new sauna Panorama building that has several saunas inside like a salt sauna, a steam bath and a bread sauna, where you can sweat next to an old bread oven and can even get a taste of the fresh bread after the bake!

This is one of the most relaxing and clean public thermal and spa places I've seen.
It's affordable, you can reach it by train and public transport in less than an hour and half from Berlin. They have different kinds of pools inside and outside. I would like to give a plus point for the pool with underwater music and its relaxing atmosphere. I heard its textile-free for adults on Saturday. Make a phone call and reassure it before you head on to this beautiful oasis.

Good place for relaxation, available outdoor and indoor pools. One pool with cold water the other pools with warm and salty water. Fountains and jacuzzi available. Changing cabins and lockers for valuables are there as well. Parking is within 2 minutes walk. First few hours of parking are free. Prices are reasonable for the service you get. Lounge chairs for sunbathing outdoors as well as indoors available. Within half an hour 40 min drive from Berlin or Frankfurt Oder. Recommend.

I spent 3 hours in pools, 1 hour in saunas and spent for it 45 Euro- it’s too much.
The water is warm and thermal ,but it would be nice to repair pool tiles.
The saunas are perfect with great view of park and lake ,but unfortunately they are too small and inside of the building is not enough space for all people.

if you searchi g for the place to relax from city rush - its a great place for relax outside the big city (just about 1H drive from berlin) and they have also a parking lot. in winter and when its colder outside also in the air nice smells from fireplaces around. Saulty water with indoor and outdoor pools with warm water (about 34C).. also few days per week are open for the visits without kids-you can enjoy quite time there. IMO, best ever time is to visit later in the evening to catch up a sunset and darkness with first stars in the sky. also they have implemented a nice idea to add candles and very good lighting in the pools in the evening time :)) the only one small negative thingy is the parking lot exit -i think already have happened 2 times: sometimes it gets broken in the evening time. Maybe too many people were exiting during the day and filled up the tickets storage or whatever, so it stops receiving tickets and starts to work super slowly and you can not leave parking lot anymore, but support works quickly and after 5-8 minutes all the queued cars for exit managed to leave the parking lot.

We came to bad Saarow for a weekend trip to get out of the city (berlin) and relax a bit.
My girlfriend has not been to a Therme, but I’ve been to multiple ones over the year, mostly in NRW/the Rheinland.
Bottom line, it was an „ok“ experience.
Value for money could be better, as the prices are around 40€ if you want to go to the saune and Thermalbad (4h)
Let’s start with the Thermalbad area:
It’s one big inside pool that connect to the large one outside, and a few smaller whirlpools. Nothing special, not bad either.
What surprised me most was the fact that they build the Therme on a rather large area, but still didn’t really feel big. It’s also not really cozy.
There are a lot of places to lay down, but people occupy these with their towels even though it is explicitly said that you are not allowed to do that and should free the spaces and put your stuff in the provided baskets (nice feature) - the reality is that this is ignored by 90% of the guests and the people working there do not care (according to the notes on the wall they are the ones that will then remove your towels, if you don’t follow the rule as given). So this is quite annoying and you never get the chance to really find a spot, take out your book and unwind.
The sauna area:
We were there ok a Saturday in February (no kids allowed day) and it was not overcrowded, but still the sauna area didn’t offer enough space to store your belongings, move comfortably around and/or really relax. The sauna concept is not really thought through and make good use of the areas.
The silent room in the sauna area:
This was super disappointing. Again, people occupied the loungers with their towels. Also there was no real silence and people talked - not really relaxing. There should be a worker there enforcing this.

This spa is about 1 hour by train from Berlin then around 20 minutes by bus. Ideally you should spend at least 3 hours to really enjoy it. It offers jacuzzi, swimming pools and sauna. I loved the jacuzzi and the lavender sauna along with many cold and hot showers.
Daily pass cost Euro 27 and 10 extra for sauna. Unfortunately, the food is very limited and the sitting is just wooden benches with ants crawling all over the tables. Obsulatly disgusting! There is a nice park overlooking a lake next to it , it's worth a visit.

Super cool feelings during the winter time! There are lots of pool to chill inside and one of them in outside which is the coolest one!
For 3 hours cost is 17 euro around, I paid in January 2020. They give a bracelet for entrance and locker to put your stuff safely. Only one thing was really annoying if you go there really busy time, after bathing when you’re exiting from the place you need to wait in the line to give your bracelet and for payment! It’s horrible system which I saw first time in my entirely life! Why they’re not taking money at the entrance and putting a box to want us to put bracelets... I didn’t expect from Germany sorry but disappointed.
Airy accommodations in a refined lakeside spa resort with a restaurant, saunas & an outdoor pool.
Lovely spa, calm atmosphere, nice people. There are sometimes special events and shows in the sauna, but there are many calmer areas available, where you can relax. There are many saunas to choose from and so far it didn't feel overcrowded for me, but it also depends if you go to the dedicated rituals, as those tend to get more full as everywhere.

The saunas are nice but the staff have difficulty speaking English and the service at the restaurant was terrible. The food and drinks were good but during my multi-day stay every time I went to the restaurant I was ignored by the staff and would have to walk up to the bar while other customers were seen at their tables. The restaurant staff seemed totally uninterested in my needs when I would approach them. I didn’t hear English spoken by any other guests during my stay so I assume I was the only foreigner there. Perhaps they just don’t like foreigners and would rather ignore them than speak English?

The ultimate sauna spa. Popular without being crowded, it caters for every sauna taste from the hardy souls who like to sweat-roast at 120°C, before drenching themselves in ice cold water, to those gentler more cautious types who prefer the outdoor pool and the soothingly temperate storyteller sauna. Highlights include the medal-winning sauna theatre (you've not lived until you've sat with 250 naked Germans all singing and clapping along to the rock track backing the presentation), the Russian banya, a good restaurant, and any number of add-on massages, special health baths, etc. You can easily spend a whole day here. NB it's textile-free, of course. Recommended.

It takes about one hour to get there from Berlin, parking is available in front of the spa. We came early, so we still could enjoy saunas that were not extremely crowded. Especially we loved the Russian banja and the Roman steambaths. You could swim in the little pool and then take a dip in the lake which was a lot of fun, then enjoy lunch at the restaurant. Overall a good experience and a cute spa. The only downside was that it still gets quite full and after about four hours of staying there the spa obviously got overcrowded. Perhaps they should lower the number of spots available during certain times/ holidays so that guests can still have an enjoyable experience. Price for entering during holidays was higher than regular, too.
Sprawling tropical-themed water park with rooms & cottages, plus an indoor rainforest & a lagoon.
Amazing place if you want to charge your batteries ,especially during winter months you could feel tropical atmosphere without leaving Berlin at all. You could hire room out there and stay overnight if want. Plenty of attractions , air balloon , tropical dancers / shows and tropical food make you think that you at Bahamas :) Restaurants are great with delicious food ,and kids like it as well. No problems with parking , easy access from Berlin and local areas. This place is HUGE , you will notice it long before you reach car park. Enjoy.

Stayed for three nights and had a fantastic time with my family (wife, mother in law +3 small kids).
Will start with the low points first:
1. At check in there was only one counter working and it took us 40!! minutes to complete the process.
2. Not enough sitting chairs around the pool area - you need to go at around 7am to catch an empty chair....
As for the good stuff:
1. Amazing place
2. Many pools for the kids
3. Amazing water park for children and for adults (I enjoyed it as much as the kids have).
4. Very friendly staff.
5. Great selection of food and drinks - restaurants are located all over the place.
5. Holiday villa was very good and well equipped.
Will definitely return next year.

Absolutely perfect place. I wouldn't know what to recommend first. The easy accessibility from parking, the quick check in, the convenient wristbands, the affordable eating options, the huge variety of different pools and slides. It is a truly great place.
Why would you want the stress of travelling 6 hours on a plane abroad, hotel costs and a harsh reality of a shabby hotel that doesn't look like anything on the photos? This paradise gives you 90% of a vacation to Turkiye for a fraction of the cost.
The only minus is that we only booked a day ticket and not a weekend stay. We'll definitely return for a weekend in the end of October.
We absolutely loved it
Richard Volprich — Google review
The place is large, but poorly invested. The slides are very moderate, more exotic slides should be added. The large pools should be more interesting, such as artificial waves. Better lighting could improve the mood. An artificial sky roof and sun would be great. A river around the place would also be cool.

Absolutely deplorable service from a rude, incompetent staff. The bus never leaves according to schedule, resulting in missed train back to Berlin. The management should be fired and replaced by service-oriented intelligent people who know what they’re doing, rather than those who have nothing but contempt for their customers.
The rooms are all cockroach-infested cesspools with no air circulation, for which you will pay an extortionate price of several hundred Euros.
Food is of general poor quality and taste.
Avoid this place!

Tropical Islands is more like a theme park. It is way overpriced and it is definitely more catered to children than adults. It's pretty cold when you're not in the water and there's no space in the water to actually swim. You can't relax for a moment as there are balls flying at your head and children screaming and splashing. The outdoor pool becomes way too busy during the day and the revolving doors are like a death-trap waiting to happen with kids trapping each other inside constantly. As you try to exit the pools you have to avoid children body slamming each other and stray sandals tripping you up.
The spa area is a shambles. It is relaxing to an extent but there are so many people walking around confused about spa etiquette as people are coming in with swimsuits and some without. Kids are also allowed into the spa area meaning it is yet another area for kids. I feel like this area should be adults only considering the rest of the park is dominated by the children.
There are literally no water fountains and if you want to hydrate you have to pay almost 5 euros for a bottle of water. Not providing people with water, especially in a spa area, is actually dangerous and it really sours the experience to be dehydrated. Considering how expensive the entry is, plus paying so much for food, I really think water is a basic thing you can provide guests to keep them happy and healthy.

Stayed for a night and a had a great time. Tent was comfy and enough room for the night. Plenty to do there to keep you occupied for a few days. Spa area was lovely and clean and some very nice saunas. Pools and slides are all good fun. Wish the outdoor surf pool was open but that will have to be for another time. Think it was around 30 degrees inside so it's a nice temperature, just like being somewhere tropical!

It's pretty awesome, but when there are vacations in Berlin it's too crowded.
But avoiding that time and you have plenty of space and amazing slides and wonderful plants and a nice spa experience.
Especially nice for kids (roughly 3+ y/o)

The Tropical Islands experience was the best for us. Amazing experience in middle of winter. We were swimming in a warm pools under the snow. Such a magical place especially during winter months you could feel tropical atmosphere. Sitting between the trees and observing the birds was such a pleasure. You could hire room out there and stay overnight if want. the restaurants have a large variety of foods and prices.

one star is too much. not only do you pay for the ticket, but also 6 euros for parking. the food costs as much as in a good restaurant, but it's not very good. drinks are more expensive than in a fine establishment and also poor. water slides are nothing special, slow and short. in addition, there is no tropical climate inside, just plain heavy air. one feels like in a cage. maybe children get some fun, but for adults it's all just weak. for this price it is better to buy a 4 pack of beer and sit on the balcony. I do not recommend

the last time I was in Tropical Island was 17 years ago and I was very surprised by the changes I saw there. First of all, the equipment did not look worn out at all, new swimming pools, new attractions, delicious food - we used the Thai restaurant. Plants in very good condition. To sum up the trip - I am very pleased!

Shocking level of services, takes ages to check in, around 2 hours, the tags that you pay with are on separate accounts, front office staff offer not leave of service
Processed a payment then claim that the payment was never made, made me wait an hour at front of house until they decided to call the finance team to confirm if the payment was made.
if you don’t mind rudeness and zero level of service then I would recommend this place due to the facilities.

This is the second time we have stayed here for a week each time. Absolutely love the place. It's so reasonable in terms of cost and the use of the park with accommodation absolutely makes it. I would go so far as to say it's unique in it's existence in terms of quality and price. It's not cheap once in the resort but you can mitigate that with self catering and sensible snacking. I would recommend this place to families, couples, and friends groups. Caters to all who are looking for a water park resort experience. Very easily accessible from BER airport and exceptional transport from the train station at Brand and around the resort. Quick one to note, if you arrive on time check in at the resort reception and avoid the dome. It's very slow at the dome and adds to your journey back to the cabins. Unless you're staying in the dome of course!! Highly recommended. Please like this review if it was helpful.

I was hesitant to go there after reading the reviews, but I'm glad I did. My kid and I had a great time there. We went on a Sunday (cheaper fee) evening, when it was not crowded at all. We didn't have to wait in line for any slide or the reception. The place was fairly clean (except for some cockroaches), the attractions were well designed, and the people were nice. The service was decent for North German standards. They didn't smile much, but they weren't rude either. It was easy to get there from Berlin by train, and then take the shuttle that runs every few minutes.

Good water-based fun for all ages. Also, educational and immersive in Rain forest fauna and flora. Good food. Lots of walking and steps/stairs, but there are some ramps. Make your appointment for massages and cosmetic procedures at least a week before arriving to have a chance at getting in. Awesome sauna and hot tubs for those willing to go in the nude.

Absolutely amazing place, especially for families with kids! Whatever weather is out there, you can easily get to ‘Tropics’ for a weekend. It’s so nice inside, very warm, with lots of swimming pools, slides, even animals. I recommend to stay in one of the hotel rooms there.

A really good place to hangout for a day and for people who love water it's an amazing place to spend. No fear for people who are scared of water as well as the pools are not very deep. Very nice slides not many though but the once which are there are nice and enjoyable. Overall a really good place to enjoy a day. Place could have been bit more cleaner and i would have given 5 stars.

What an amazing structure. Loved sleeping in the tent, the accommodation and the entrance were really good value.
Unfortunately the big slides were closed, the rapids were underwhelming and the food was expensive - I was super annoyed that there were no free water dispensers anywhere. Especially as we were staying over.
All in all a great experience, but maybe the water attractions need some investment (a proper lazy river / better rapids) and less of a rip off for drinking water.

Location is good, we found it easily with the car and had a parking space available.
We arrived and the line was huge, but everything went fast. I have booked it as a surprise for someone special and as well a bottle of wine, we got the keys of the room and weren’t really happy with it. We went back to the reception and it was no problem to give us a an alternative room - very friendly! The place is so good, we had dinner there at the buffet and had many options. We had really so much fun, it was everything well organised, busy, but you still could enjoy it - I hope they keep it busy this way always!
We also made use of the SPA and it was really good. I just think that kids should not be allowed there. It was strange!!!
There are many restaurants you can choose. Many stores.
Breakfast buffet was good!
We also had dinner in one of the restaurants there and it was nice and friendly.
Was such a nice time and we for sure will come back.

We wanted to celebrate my son birthday, so we bought s family ticket. Arrived to tropical island and on the entrance provided a ticket (we were 4, 2adult, 2child) and was provided with 1 bracelet, so entered all and all was good until.. when we were leaving, there is a hole where you but the bracelet to leave, and you was suppose to put 1 for each person. But we were provided only one.. when we asked what to do to s person who was in charge there he told none of my business, go to information. Tho we have spent there 20+minutes, providing original ticket, so the end of the trip was ruined and we missed the train. Not recommend. Birthday ruined.

A really big and nice water park, probably the biggest water park under the roof. Wonderfully warm inside even though it was only 15 degrees outside. A warm river outside with massage devices. The only downside is that it is a bit far from Berlin. When we visited there was a railway renovation, we had to use 2 metro lines, 2 local trains and 1 free bus, it took almost 2 hours each way, normally I heard that you can get there in one hour by one train from the main station. But despite everything, it's definitely worth visiting there👍👍👍 I'll come again if I fly through Berlin.

We stayed just 1 night. The check-in process was not great as I knew I booked a package with evening meal but he said there is nothing here. We pushed on this and eventually got it sorted out and our meal .
The park itself is brilliant and impressive with loads to do. We loved the fact there are animals and real plants there. You need 2 or 3 days to properly relax though . The prices are high for food but like everywhere now. Rooms are big and comfortable but need air conditioning as some have it and some don't.

We were there in January to stay overnight, checking to the rooms only possible at 15:00. We got there at 12:30 and there was a long line of people waiting to get in, so we had to wait for 1.45 hours to get to the counter and check in. That's a minus point.
Otherwise, the place is huge, plenty of saunas, swimming places, and relaxing chairs. Food is fine, but the whole experience was quite expensive for a night there.
Leonardo Arias — Google review
This could be an OK place if they weren't so greedy. There were WAY too many people let in at a time, so there was never a sunbed available and always a line. They don't allow outside food but still charge outrageous prices for everything there. I wish i had smuggled in food. The smoking room is awful, and beer costs 5,20 for 500ml. There was a line for every single place all the time. The staff was mostly nice. The dying plants and stressed out parrots in cages really bummed me out. Avoid it. You can have way more fun elsewhere for less money.

Never ever again.
Do not waste your money in this place.
Let’s skip to the worst part:
We booked 2 nights staying in a premium family room for 6 people. No soap, no crutches -neither provided upon request. The second day it started raining into the room- literally inside..nobody cared. We tried to stop the rain front entering with the towels we had. After an hour someone just put a bin right in front of the room’s door, nothing else. We could not enter our room , neither take a shower. If we wanted further towels we should rent them. Nightmare started at 16:00 pm, going up and down to the reception begging for help. At the end, we were given the only 2 rooms available for the second night, different from the one we paid for, one double and one double plus a sofa, not even close to each other. We had to move our stuff on our own, entering the new accommodation at 21.30. So half a day completely gone. No soap as well here, to stay consistent, not provided again either upon request.
Last but not least non speaking rude staff, bad cocktails…be ready to be in queue to check in 2 hours, try to find a locker and a sunbed in an hour or more.
No compensation offered , an apology gift a voucher nothing at all, I am pretty much sure a refund should apply here but I have wasted enough time with this and just want to move forward.

Huge venue with inside and outside pools. It’s a family oriented place.
We went in February so the highlights of our weekend there were spending a night in a tent, the outside heated pool and the sauna area. You need need to buy extra ticket to enter the saunas and jacuzzi area. The ticket was 14 Euros but totally worth it. Also, you can rent a towel :)

Awesome place for kids of any age. Great pools, warm , food was nice and fresh , reasonably priced. The only negative is long queue at the check in if you are staying in the resort, we had to wait for 1,5 hour .

Fun place to escape the city for a day or two. The place was packed and felt a little bit too “public”. Clean and well preserved areas. Eating options are not bad, even though a lot of people preferred burgers and fries, you can also find nice Thai food at one of the restaurants. Overall good experience.

The place is very fun and interesting to spend a day or two. Nice ambience and the food is rather good. I was overall impressed with the variety at the buffet. It’s great too to have a chip card that puts everything in a tab and you pay when you leave. Makes it very convenient to lock up your stuff and just have fun.
The variety of activities you can do here is great, and the water slides and Amazonia was particularly nice.
Room wasn’t ready on time which was rather inconvenient. Once cleaned too the room wasn’t very clean, the previous guest left clothes behind that were still there when we eventually got the room. it’s a very basic bare bones room, very simple could be improved by a few basics like a mirror and maybe a towel rack.
Overall it’s a really neat place and was quite fun.

Great family fun for a night away from Berlin. Our kids had a great time, as did we. Staff were all wonderful, and did a great job of trying to understand my terrible German. Some speak english but not all.
Food was reasonably priced given the captive audience and less than we expected. Would have been great to have had a water fountain to refill our bottles though.
One star off as the check in took over an hour, which others have noted as an issue beforehand too.

The park, known as "Gardens of the World", features themed gardens from around the world. It is located in Berlin, Germany.
A fabulous day out, especially in late spring, when so many flowers are in bloom. The park is very extensive, with lots of different attractions for all ages. You could easily spend all day in here. The individual "gardens of the world" are each special in their own way, and the cable car ride gives a unique view of the park as a whole and the public park next to it. Well with the entrance price. The whole park has been created with a lot of love and extreme attention to detail.

It’s a huge park with different themes of garden. I personally enjoyed the Chinese Garden the most! A lot of cafes inside the park are closed. I can imagine the vibe would be really nice when everything is opened!
I recommend buying the bundle ticket so that you can also take the cable car.
You can definitely spend half a day here.

unfortunately more of a rip off than anything else. It‘s a good place to chill (I suppose) but even for that, the tickets are too expensive. 99% of the area is not special at all - the 1% being the cultural gardens which you can walk through in less than a minute. I would have expected more love to be put into a place like this. Especially the tropical hall was a letdown. I expected *so* much more. Also, the food stalls/restaurants close at some time in the evening - Why?

Rope road was so confusing, still don’t get why it is sold together with the ticket to the gardens…. The final stop of the road is outside the gardens, why do I even need it??? The gardens themselves are very small but very cute. Would return here in autumn and in spring to see all the colours of the gardens. The Korean garden is amazing!!

Beautiful park, lots of gardens from around the world plus some art installations. There are a couple of kids play areas as well. The best time to visit is around spring, we found that during the really hot days it is quite hard to get around with the kids as there are little shaded areas. Food is average but this tends to be the case in most of the parks.

It was ok, though rather underwhelming for a botanic garden. In general, I was amazed by the poor upkeep given how many visitors were there on a Sunday afternoon, especially with the admission fees being as high as they were.
The international garden exhibits seriously needed some attention. Weeds growing up between paving stones on the paths, as well as in the flower beds. Unimaginative and overgrown layouts. Generally, having entered from the main gate on the northwestern side, these were the first gardens we visited and left a bad taste for the remainder.
The themed gardens were better kept. The Chinese garden was generally in good shape, and the tea house was a place to stop for a snack, even if the service was very slow. The Japanese garden was probably the best maintained and prettiest. The Korean garden's structures looked like they could use some upkeep.
Finally, the Gardens were setting up for a concert on-site. Signage to navigate around the closure was poor, and a number of visitors got thoroughly lost trying to get back to the entrance.

Nice place with many options for walking around! Unfortunately my friend and i didn't have much time, so we didn't see everything, but what we saw was absolutely gorgeous. And these country bears were also really cute, but maybe placement of the bear of russia is inappropriate, considering their actions nowadays.
Furthermore, i would say that the first gardens, which i saw, were quite disappointing (im talking about the gardens of some countries as Taiwan, USA etc, which were made by the architects from these countries). They were no fun and looked absolutely not impressive. At that point i already thought buying a ticket was a mistake, but then i went into the centre of Garden of the World and already there i have found really interesting and fascinating spots. Such gardens as Chinese, Koreanisch and Japanese gardens were absolutely lovely (i am attaching the photos from these gardens). Moreover, the greenhouse was also very beautiful.
You can leave your luggage in the lockers (they're small), what i find quite practical. However the building, where you lock your bags, closes at 18:30 and the park closes at 20:00, what means you have to take your begs away on time and don't forget about it. Because of that i had not to go far away from lockers and this was kinda irritating.
The cafe near the lockers hadn't got a various menu, nothing interesting. But the Chinese cafe was pretty cool despite the high prices (the green tea was shitty tho).
All in all, a great place to spend your day in. You can relax and maybe find something new for yourself.

This place is the perfect destination if you wish to explore representation of some of the best gardens in the world all in the same place. The best time to visit is the summers, as they close down some gardens during the winters. I would suggest entering the place from the Sud entrance, or taking the Ropeway to go directly to the garden. The Ropeway is quite inexpensive and is totally worth it. You can enjoy a very wholesome view of the Berlin skyline from the cable-car.
There are about 7 small international gardens followed by 11 big gardens from different parts of the world. Apart from the gardens, there is a labyrinth (maze), water garden and few different fun activities.
I would suggest to spend around 5-6 hours (at least) to enjoy the place to the fullest, spend some more time if it's sunny.
The place has many different cafes and restaurants catering various cuisines and there is ample space to enjoy home packed meals too.

PLUS, if you BRING a mat you could chill (do picnic) at different spots as well 🥰
There are few KIOSKS along the way for grabbing something to EAT! 😋
WC was FREE and clean 👍🏻
Playgrounds for CHILDREN are there as well 🤩
I wish for SOME gardens they could do a little BIT MORE 🙁, MAYBE it was work in progress when we went 😉

We loved our stay here! It felt like we visited so many countries within one stay. We visited late September and I can only imagine how beautiful it is during the summer. However it was still nice time to visit. We took 3hours to see everything. Maybe during a hot day it is too tiring. We enjoyed some delicious Chinese tea. Would recommend packing some snacks and make a picnic there. For 7€ (we weren’t interested in the cable) it was definitely worth visiting!
