Awesome eroded red rock formations, many looking ready to break loose! Beautiful views with sheer drops to the sea. Grab any and all small parking spots then walk usually less than 100m to get best views. Drive careful on the many blind corners!

Really pretty rock formations! It's quite busy and hard to park/drive/walk on the narrow road. I enjoyed the more remote hikes in Corsica more.

A breathtaking road we did by motorbike…
Simply one the most amazing panoramic road we ever made …it’s worthy to come here and enjoy the Calanchi.
Sunset is magic and you can enjoy one of the panoramic restaurants on the way.
Super !

One of the best roads in Corsica! Breathtaking views. Not very difficult to drive through, many places to pass another car or stop for a moment
Artur Nowak — Google review
Beautiful ride! Just do it on a blue sky and you will be able to take the most spectacular pictures. Some of of the roads are a bit narrow and the locals tend to drive a little faster than tourists which can be intimidating but otherwise it’s pretty safe.

An island region of France, Corsica lies in the heart of the western Mediterranean Sea. This mountainous and rugged island is ringed by lovely white-sand beaches and coastal cliffs. Our image was taken on the west coast, overlooking the Gulf of Porto and within the Scandola Nature Reserve, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The dense, low evergreen vegetation growing here is known as maquis shrubland, and it grabs a foothold wherever it can among the jagged cliffs.
The Calanques de Piana are made up of a colorful type of volcanic rock called red porphyry. Over the years it has naturally eroded into the geologic sculptures and craggy cliffs we see today. The best time to view these rocks is in the late afternoon when the sun plays off the pink, orange, and deep-red hues.
Napoleon Bonaparte was born on 15 August 1769 in Corsica (Ajaccio 50 km south of this place).

First we were supposed to go on Tuesday which was cancelled because of bad weather. A strange story and not the case after all. On the phone and in the office they told us several times we should be there at 8 in the morning.
When we arrived on the new date, in time, the boat had left. The location bateaux 2000 can confirm we were there in time because we have been talking to them and they tried to help. They told us that we should have been there at 7.30h.
Maybe because of the different day the time has been changed?
When we called them they said we are wrong, we were not here at 8, they could not reschedule, we could not hop on our boat somewhere else and it is all our fault.
When arguing this she started yelling on the phone and did not stop. They did not come up with whatever solution. They are not even willing to pay us back the money if only it was partly! They do not pick up the phone anymore if we try to call them.
When two fight there is almost never 1 guilty, it was not all our fault we we’ve now lost 350 euro’s on nothing. Customer friendly?….
Joke Bruining — Google review
Very bad organisation. They told us multiple times to be there at 8. When we arrived the boat already left. When we called the didn’t offer any help and were very unfriendly. Please do not book with this organisation!!!

Very nice museum that does not pretend to be the world top. Interesting exhibition that narrates about Corsico origin, good collection of maps. The view from the fortress is marvelous!

Spacious, well laid out museum on several floors.
The exhibits provide a comprehensive history of Corsica. You need to leave plenty of time for a visit if you want to read all of the detailed information for each exhibit. As with most museums there is probably more on display than can be absorbed on one visit. Don't miss the "Corsican Head" sculpture on the outside terrace on the first floor.
Brian Gavin — Google review
Worth going in for the views from the citadel alone. The directional signage is available in English, but the exhibition signs are French and Italian only. Interesting enough though.

Very well-done the lab for kids: we were two adults without kids and enjoyed it so much anyway. Explanatory videos along the exhibition are nice as well. The permanent exhibition includes objects that show traditional Corsican habits, culture and savoir-fare, but probably should undergo a renovation. Small gift-shop, no bar or coffee inside.

Gorges de la Restonica is a stunning natural wonder located in the heart of Corsica, carved by the untamed Restonica River. One of the most renowned hikes in Corsica, the trail begins at Bergeries de Grotelle and leads to Melo Lake at an altitude of 1,711 meters. The route offers a breathtaking experience suitable for both adults and children, although proper footwear is recommended.
Splendid place but the road is really scary, barely the place for a single car most of the time.

Tours of a 2-hectare park with tortoises & turtles from around the world, plus snacks & a gift shop.
A simple lovely tortoise and turtle zoo. Who knew there were so many, ranging in size from a couple of inches up to the giant Galapagos tortoise. They look well cared for, and the zoo seems heavily into conservation. There is a small snack area at the end. A couple of hours well spent.

We really enjoyed visiting this park with our baby. It's of course a perfect place for families but also adults can have very happy moments here.
The park is full of tortoise of many tipes and sizes (our baby loved the baby tortoise!). Every type is explained and contextualised, and all of the tortoises are at the open here.
We stayed also for launch. There is a little bar/restaurant with outdoor seats and hee you can eat also your food as a pic nic (not necessary to buy at the restaurant).
The price for a single day access is not high and in my opinion value for money. 😉

The Fesch Museum, founded by Napoleon's uncle, boasts a vast collection of European art, specifically old masters. The museum is located in Ajaccio and offers visitors a unique historical perspective with its extensive exhibit of paintings and information on the iconic figure of Napoleon. This experience is not to be missed for those interested in both art and history.
Fantastic pieces of art and information
Eian Elwood — Google review
The only lasting impression is that the lightning ensures you can’t see the paintings because of the glare. In addition, ask whether the chapel is open before paying the entry fee.
Zachary Van Winkle — Google review
The chapel was included, but overrated; the actual museum was fantastic though! Recommendation for improvement is to either add a translation to the text (or a QR code).
What I loved about the museum was the depth of artwork it presented; it didn't have an overwhelming religious focus. Instead it sectioned each floor with a different focus: Corsica art in the basement, Napoleon Bonaparte and Bonaparte family on the ground floor, religious focus at the first floor that was mostly Christian themed, but did have some pagan themes, and everyday life artwork on the second floor.
Adam Waymouth — Google review

Pieter-Jan Elias — Google review

Leonardo Khanut Hachanon — Google review
It is hard to believe that this was part of a private collection, there is so much to see. We were fortunate to have an outside guide for an hour to explain some of the paintings to us which really provided an informed perspective and understanding of what we were looking at. Without that perspective, this would have been just another art museum.
Tom Ezdon — Google review
Easy afternoon at the museum. Some nice and some weird paintings.
Stijn Vogels — Google review
Fantastic place. The collection is impressive and well presented. I would gladly come back !
Patrycja Pieńkosz — Google review
I really liked it here. My only criticism is the lighting. Some of the paintings had such a glare on them it made it impossible to see them properly. The big black sculpture, for example, shouldn't be in front of the window....the light behind it makes it hard to see. It would be nice to have translations in other languages even if it's via the internet using a QR code. Apart from that it's very clean and the staff were pleasant.
Catherine Crichton — Google review
Most of the works belong to Italian artists, not comparable to the Louvre or orsay. high ticket prices and no discount for student.
Greta Sandrini — Google review
I visited the museum last Saturday during the open night therefore the entry was free. I saved 8€ entry fees. The lighting is terrible and the best paintings are not highlighted. However I recommend visiting the chapel next door.
Morgane Le Roux — Google review
Not a enormous museum, but has some pretty amazing paintings. Recommend downloading their app for a guided experience during the visit.
The Maison Bonaparte is a national museum that was once the ancestral home of the Bonaparte family from 1682 to 1923. The building, where Napoleon himself was born in 1769, has been restored and now serves as one of four national historic museums dedicated to him. Visitors can explore the multilevel house and learn about its history, as well as gain insight into Napoleon's life and legacy through various exhibits.

Mitja Leskovar — Google review
An excellent preservation of Napoleon's house and the story of his life and his family history and genealogy. Definitely recommend using the portable audio guide; you will learn so much. Walk through at your own pace. The walls in the house are hand-painted and look like wallpaper. Furniture dates back to the 1700's and is exquisite.

A must for fans of the Napoleon's wars as well as of Napoleon. A bit sterile inside, derived from its past as a public hosting location I think. The culture of Napoleon deserves greater investigation and more exhibits. Well run.

Filitosa, an important prehistoric site in Corsica located 20km north of Propriano, showcases remarkable granite menhirs that were erected up to 6000 years ago. Some of these standing stones were re-carved during the Bronze Age, about 2500 years later, depicting intricate faces and weaponry. These unique carvings seem to honor specific individuals. The site offers an hour-long exploration through open fields and hillsides that contain remnants of ancient enclosures.
Great place to visit, is really interesting and plenty to read. You can explore and take your time. The access is not complicated and you have parking and a little brasserie on the side to eat. I was impressed for the olive tree! The path is fairly well indicated however it could be improved a bit. The museum at the end is plenty of historic information.
Javier F U — Google review
Parc with ancient Filitosa statues spread over a few hectares. There is at the entrance a modern building with interesting historical artifacts and a shop. The entrance fee was rather high for what is there to see, on the other hand it’s a quite unique site which should be seen.
Stefan Lugger — Google review
A place not to be missed. Looking at 8000 years old history. Museum well set with archeological discoveries set chronologicaly, village well preserved and great landscape.
Olivier Rahier — Google review
Nice archeological center, as it presents the history of Corsica. (The museum at the end d plains nicely). The site itself is a bit too basic, lacking an explanation (unless you purchase the guide which we didn't do as we already spent 9€ eaxh, for the entrance) that could have been included (the qr code give you access ti only very little and poorly translated information)
Veronica De Bernardi — Google review
Absolutely beautiful! I enjoyed every moment of the visit! I met wonderful people who feel responsible to save and share the ancient history and site. Walking there is simply so peaceful that I hardly wanted to leave while I learnt about history and the dedication of the family owning the site.
Kinga Muszik — Google review
They do have a restaurant on site as well. The tour is audio guided via QR code.
Goodyear — Google review
Worth visiting for the anthropomorphic menhirs but otherwise compared to sites in say Brittany it is slightly underwhelming. Most of the museum was closed off when we visited with no explanation when it would open. The very good €2 guide guide leaflet is worth spending a few moments scanning before you start exploring. The most important menhir, Filitosa V, is now a replica but there is no mention of where the original now is.
John Laidler — Google review
Very interesting place, although privately owned and run it gives in depth information about the neolithic/bronze age people who used to live herein
Patrick Nagel — Google review
The road to here is difficult
There are some interesting stones but for sure this "site" can be improved. They simply can add some flower gardens, some productive olive trees, etc
Hint: you can simply visit without paying if you take a look on sattelite images. I was very disappointed to see cars parked inside of this "site"

Les Aiguilles De Bavella is a majestic and grandiose location nestled in the mountains of Bavella. It offers breathtaking views of the towering needles and is best visited early to avoid crowds. The area provides opportunities for a 5-hour round trip hike from Col de Bavella to explore its natural wonders, including the famous "trou de la bombe.

At 11am, we’ve ordered 2 cappuccinos at an almost empty restaurant. We were served two cups of warm milk with barely dissolved instant coffee or similar substance floating on top although they have an espresso machine. Upon politely asking whether our order was misunderstood, we were informed in no uncertain terms that “chez nous le cappuccino est comme ça”. Best avoided.
David Moldenhauer — Google review
This was such a nice place - our first question was “do you accept credit card” as some very nearby places don’t or pretend they don’t accept CC but here the waiter/ owner was very clear: yes we do - the food itself was very tasty, the service was very friendly (almost ‘not-French’ if you get my point), and the location/ view is excellent - thank you “Aiguilles” team!

This place is excellent in a lot of regards.
They offer top quality meals, when "it was too late" for the other two restaurants nearby, the staff are excellent, very nice, the meals were all of a quite large portion and very tasty.
You can even get accommodation (with breakfast, lunch, dinner included) below in the basement on bunkbeds, they have showers, a small kitchen.
Overall, it was an excellent choice to rest here for the evening before continuing our journey on the GR20.

The Trou de la Bombe, located in Porto Vecchio, offers a picturesque loop trail with opportunities for swimming along the Solenzara river. The route includes a lovely walk leading to the impressive rock formation known as the "Hole of the Bomb," where adventurous hikers can climb up to get a closer look. The hike is relatively easy and suitable for families, providing stunning views of the Bavella needles.

The best way to reach Trou de la Bombe is to leave Notre-Dame-des-Neiges. If you have children, plan on taking up to 90 minutes to reach your destination. The view along the way is gigantic and Trou de la Bombe is also well worth seeing. The last 10 minutes of the trail require a bit of climbing, but is easily doable for children (ours are 6 and 9) if you shake their hands every now and then.

Great, very pleasantly shady hike to the Trou de la Bombe from the Col de Bavella. It took us about 2 hours comfortably to cover the 6km and 230hm. At the end it becomes a little more challenging with slightly steeper, rocky parts. In principle, the entire hike is easy to do, is run by many families and is highly recommended for all levels of fitness.
In general, it is advisable to arrive at the hiking car park early (before 9:00/9:30 a.m.), otherwise there may be no parking space left.

The baths are ok!
But the hotel is not ok... the bed is uncomfortable, and they told my boyfriend it was mandatory to stay 2 nights due to high season and when we arrived it was EMPTY, after that people arrived and they were allowed to stay 1 night! It’s not nice to see how they bribe you in front of you!
After that, the price they charge for demi pension and without are not well calculated... the first night with Demi pension it’s 30€ per person, 2nd night 42,5€, 3rd night 40€... they should watch out this kind of things, it’s ridiculous!
I starred with 2 stars because the food of the restaurant is good! Not the breakfast!

Simply superb. Best €5 I've spent on long time. I went in June.
A beautiful walk to the water. A very easy, flat walk suitable for all people of all ages and abilities (prams are totally fine to go here) We parked up at a big car park (free of charge) and did a loop which was approx 4 km.
Charlene Elliott — Google review
The spot that everyone comes to take a swim is very crowded which lost the tranquility of the place and the water was not as clear as the other part. HOWEVER!!! if you want to dodge that and enjoy the beauty of the your “private pool”, walk down a little bit more there are tons of small rivers that you can find. The water was pristine and the scenery was a WOW!!
Mai Chi Nguyen — Google review
Nice spot, a bit touristy, but we fully expected that. If you go with kids, there’s a nice adventure-park that is quite expensive but my lads had a lot of fun. We hiked only 20’ or so because the weather was not good, but I expect that the most beautiful spots were up the path.
mikyberra — Google review
if you love nature and hiking, don't miss this place. Basically there are several natural pools all along the river with crystal clear water that lures you to jump in. The water is cold as ice though, so taking a bath there requires some adrenaline. The are are some 10 of them and the upriver ones are the most beautiful, so I advise you not to give up half way and go all the way up. You can drive as there's a (dirt) road going uphill parallel to the river, or you can leave your car in the parking lot and walk the last 2 km or so to admire all the pools on foot. And a piece of advice : on the other side of the river, oposite to the road, there's a trail that follows the river bed, so if you're into hiking I advise you to go on that trail either when you go upriver or for the return journey, it's just wonderful.

Amy Halliday — Google review
Beautiful green and shady place where to have a nice swim. There is a little snack place but it was close when we went. Not recommended for people with limited mobility as one has to go down not much but is not a proper path, and once you are down there is just rocks. to get to the water. The road to get there is quite winding, in case get sick easily or if you are pregnant.
Rocío Alcaman — Google review
Great for hiking and swimming in rock pools.
Martin Cvilink — Google review
Had a nice hike through the rocks which i would recommend instead of taking the dirt road path.
The natural pools are pretty but very crowed. There was a spot (5 mins walk) that was wonderful with no one.
If you go all the way to the end of the path right where theres the restaurant, you will find everyone which is very crowed.
Since crowed, parking is a bit annoying bc you will go around for a while. At least parking is free.
Located in south Corsica, Plage de Roccapina is a stunning beach that attracts fortunate visitors with its perfect white sand and picturesque surroundings. The beach is like a stage at the base of the surrounding mountains, where dense vegetation cascades down the green hillsides. Golden glints of sunlight dance on the rocks during the day, creating a breathtaking view. One of the highlights is a lion-shaped rock formation that serves as an impressive backdrop to this remarkable beach.
Be careful, you need to take a gravel road to go next to this beautiful beach. Alternatively one can park the car in the main street and walk to the beach for about 30 minutes. The water is crystal clear. A true beautiful beach. There's nothing around, don't forget to bring your own drinks and food.
F. Zefi — Google review
This beach is perfect. Fine white sand, cristalline water and amazing rocks that surrounds it. Bumpy-dirty road to get here, but I managed with a regular car. Just drive carefully. If you have a low car, maybe you should avoid it.
mikyberra — Google review
2.3 Km drive on a bumpy dirt road reward you with a beautiful beach, a cross between Seychelles and Maldives. White sands and rocky boulders, lush green mountains and turquoise waters. The car park can get full very quickly.
Fardad — Google review
The beach is indeed amazing, it was crowded when we arrived and wow, if you’re in a car with a chassis low to the ground and more than 2 travelers GOOD LUCK driving down from the main road T40.
We were 2 in a standard vehicle but we followed a long line of cars with passengers that had to get out of the car at every “bump”.
I’m amazed that roads like this even exist without a warning sign but they in fact do so know before you go, the voyage down and back up IS A SAFARI, you’re best off in an SUV or a 4x4.
The people who choose to walk down from the main parking lot have a 30-45 minute hike dodging cars that are making their way up and down. It’s definitely not the most ideal way to end a day at the beach.
That being said, amazing views, nicer voyage for those traveling by yacht or catamaran I imagine 😉
Sydney Martinie — Google review
This is a really beautiful beach. It’s not the biggest and you can only reach it down a terrible potholed track but it’s perfect if you like undeveloped beaches. Soft white sand and a crystal clear turquoise sea with small waves. There are several places to park. Some better than others. It’s very busy during the July and August period but it’s more peaceful in the off peak months. And of course there is the Roccapina lion rock overlooking the bay.

The popular Plage de Santa Giulia in Porto-Vecchio, a bay on the south coast of Corsica, is surrounded by clear, shallow water and beachside restaurants. The pier offers fishing opportunities.
One of the best beaches in Corsica! There are good bars and restaurants, water is crystal clear. One can walk around and explore nice and more quiet places around.
F. Zefi — Google review
We expected more since we visited palombaggia. Santa Giulia is long but narrow beach so we hardly found our spot. We were located in front of some mobile homes and it was really bad smell I guess from the toilettes. The water was clear and shallow, so is perfect for small kids. But a lot of grass in the water and on the beach. Parking lot is 5min away walking and it costs us 5€ per whole day.
Sanja Rozman — Google review
Very beautiful beach in the southeast of Corsica. Partly white sand and turquoise water. The beach is very long and unfortunately also very busy. Nevertheless beautiful. If you are looking for a quieter place to sunbathe, you should walk down the beach to the end, even further than the last hotel-restaurant. In front of the the Hotel there is also a small free parking lot, next to a small lake, but there you have to be a bit lucky, because the other parking lots cost 15 € per day. If you want to go out for a meal, you should know that the beach is mainly home to high-priced eateries. Exception is a kind of fast food restaurant, but that is unfortunately at the other end of the beach.

An amazing beach with clear water for the kids to play all day. There are two bars where you can easily get all the necessary food and drinks, so if you are a person who can stay in one place for the whole day, this beach offers everything. For the first 50 meters the water is very shallow, again amazing for little kids. They can walk in and out (under your watchful eye of course) all day. The water was also not cold. I recommend at least a couple of hours to visit, but it could get crowded.
Jon Premik — Google review
A beautiful beach to visit. A free parking lot located at the beach. A couple of restaurants situatuated along the beach for an ice cream, a beverage or something to eat. Lots of shade and lovely white sandy beach.
Charlene Elliott — Google review
Water is shallow and clear, sand is white. Bay is beautiful and the ship can’t come close. So why just 3 out of 5?
The grade is lowered by the August crowd, but hey, this is the time i am here. It is super busy.
There’s also quite a bit of seaweeds that reduce the amount of available beach. They also smell quite a lot. If you’re going in the paid part of it, just disregard this, they keep it pretty clean and they look gorgeous.
Another minus is the parking, the closest to the beach costs 20€!!! TWENTY!!!
There are cheaper options with nice pals (search for the 5€ one on google map, there’s a 5’ walk on a nice path).
Overall, there are FAR better options. Balistra, petit Sperone, Stagnolu and even Rondinara.

Very nice beach. We went there a bit late, but we will definitely come back for a swim, the surrounding is magnificent!
michel mougey — Google review
The beach definitely has a potential. However, it is a victim of its own popularity. In the high season it is very busy. Additionally, the beach is not cleaned of decaying sea weeds making it a very unpleasantness place to lay your towel on. The prices in the surrounding bars and restaurants resemble those found in Switzerland rather than in France. Perhaps the biggest nuisance is the noise pollution. The beach is used to rent all kind of watercraft that emit constant noise and exhaust fumes, polluting this otherwise beautiful place even more. You will do better going somewhere else, unless you enjoy crowds, high prices, dead seewed and noise.

This is what a beach should look like. Beautiful sea, mountains in the background, warm sun. Usually not too crowded, plenty of room to swim, take a walk by the shore, or play with your kids. Definitely will return here!
Tamás Kondor — Google review
Ridiculously packed and honestly expected a lot more. I think the beach is victim to its popularity as the beach was quite dirty with cigarette butts and random trash , and this was early in the morning. Also on the left hand side it’s just a port with all the boats so doesn’t feel great to be swimming so close to that. Views are very nice and water quite warm.
Getting in and out is a complete nightmare as the roads are extremely narrow and two cards barely fits. Arrive as early as possible and leave between 2-330pm

One of the most beautiful beaches close to Porto-Vecchio. It's definitely a must-see when you're in the area.
After 11 am can get quite crowded, but that's something normal.
Unfortunately, some people act like they are at their house throwing away rubbish like bottle caps. You have to be careful while walking on the sand.
Palombaggia is a picturesque beach located near Porto-Vecchio, boasting stunning views of its white sandy shore and turquoise waters. This scenic coastal area is surrounded by evergreen trees, creating a serene and natural ambiance. Nearby, visitors can explore the charming town of Porto-Vecchio with its historic citadel and quaint streets. Palombaggia itself offers a lagoon-like bay with clear and crystal waters, perfect for swimming or simply admiring the beauty of nature.
Wonderful sand beach with convenient parking. Came at around 11 in the morning and it was not a problem to park car in the shade of pine trees. And parking is free! Beach itself goes alongside, walk further and it will not be crowded at all. Crystal clear and shallow water, stones to make insta pics, bars everything is there! The best beach for us visited in Corsica! Recommended!!!

This is, to me, the best beach in Corsica. The dand is white and thin, the water very clean and light blue. You can park very close to the beach if you get there early (before 10am) otherwise there are parking on the street and with a 10-15min walk (very easy) you get there anyway.

Best beach in Porto Vechio.

Definitely overrated place. Corse have much more beautiful beaches than this one.
Don't get me wrong - it's still worth to visit but don't get disappointed looking on photoshop pictures.
Usually very busy and you have to leave car on leading road and walk at least 1.5km.
Cyprian Granosik (Gü_coder) — Google review
Beautiful long beach. Parking is a challenge but possible if you arrive early. Keep your flipflops/sandles on when up near the trees, sharp spines that fall from the pines into your feet are no good.

Although the weather was very windy and not suitable for swimming, you can see that it is a great beach, with white sands and clear water. The space is not much, so maybe there are problems during high seasson.

Beautiful beach with very clear water. There is a lot of sand space so one can enjoy, and the water is shallow. Enough free parking space along the road.

Great sandy beach with clear waters. We were lucky to come when it was not that busy.

Tamaricciu is a beachfront eatery located near Porto Vecchio that offers a diverse menu featuring pizza, lobster, fish, cocktails, and tapas. Situated on Tamaricciu beach, this spot also provides deckchair rentals for added comfort. The sandy shoreline is adorned with rocks both on the land and in the crystal-clear turquoise water, enhancing its natural beauty.
Good service all around. Nice beach. The restaurant has surprisingly good and unique food.

Great location , delicious food , great services. Unfortunately toilets looks like from a camping with no toilet seat. Such a shame after such a good meal. We had a delicious tartare de tuna and a great Baba Grume

Beautiful spot… good food, great service. Must visit - rent chairs here for the day on the beach - a MUST.

Very nice place for drink or lunch! We only had drinks, so can’t advise on food, but both wine and cocktail were really nice! Service could be a bit faster though :) thank you!

Fabulous seafood linguine and bottle of white overlooking the beautiful beach. It is quite pricey but ticks a lot of boxes. Staff were friendly and spoke English when realising our french was nigh on unintelligible.
Mark Allen — Google review
Fabulous location with tables on the beach. Attentive but not intrusive service. Local, daily caught fish excellent.
Ian Marr — Google review
Excellent food, I highly recommend booking in advance
Thanh Luong — Google review
Mediocre food at best, incredibly rude personale. Not sure if it’s because we were not French or not but very unpleasant experience overall. The beach chairs are comfortable and the beach is obviously beautiful but I would strongly encourage anyone to pick a different beach lounge/restaurant as not only none deserves to be treated the way we got but also the price is really unreasonable for what you get (50 euros per chair but they try to charge you 80). There are plenty better options just a few steps away.

Very nice place, good service.
But 2 cappucino and a sparkling water for €17,50? This is too much.
I feel robbed.

The food is absolutely fantastic, beautifully-presented and very tasteful. We ate there on several occasions while visiting Corsica and always chose the dish of the day and one from the menu. Don't miss out on the desserts as those are very good too! All the compliments to the chef! To accompany your food you can choose from a great selection of wine or just order a cocktail that will be carefully prepared for you. The staff is super professional and kind, always attentive and very helpful. We will definitely come back to this little paradise. Thank you Tamaricciu Team, you are the best!
The Escalier du Roy d'Aragon is a unique tourist attraction in Bonifacio, featuring a steep and narrow rock staircase that leads down to the sea. Accessible only from the top, this impressive staircase boasts 187 steep steps that were carved by Aragonese troops during the siege of 1420. Visitors can enjoy breathtaking water and boat views as they descend the stairs. The area also offers great spots for taking pictures and some wonderful small restaurants.
No wait at all at the beginning of April. Downside, everything around is still closed or getting ready to open.
Hard to go up. Be prepared.

Superb place. Great view and some wonderful small restaurants. You can walk around for a huge stretch along the mountain top next to the sea.

At first u might think why the helmet? But then u get to the stairs.. it is really steep an can be dangerous if u are out of shape! It is worthwhile! Once u get down the views are amazing, but then u have to climb it back up, which is the hard part!
Pieter-Jan Elias — Google review
The view is beautiful. Over the sea and ships as well as from the sea over the stairs and city.
Plamen Kolev — Google review
Going down those stairs was a bit scary, and I did nearly get an asthma attack but hey the view is worth it!
There is a nice breeze by the sea, and the view is beautiful!
Careful not to slip!

So. There were A LOT of steep steps which would have been acceptable if they had actually led to the famed well. But unfortunately, the end part of the cliff walk was fenced off. Complete waist of 10 euros and I had to have a sit down afterwards.
John Gocher — Google review
Great experience descending the stairs and a great view. You should be aware, however, that although there are only 187 steps, many of the steps are as high as two steps usually are. Especially older people or anyone who is not in good shape should consider going down the steps, especially in the hot months.
Didi K. — Google review
Beautiful, but very heavy traffic. If going go either very early or after 4pm. It doesn't take more than a few hours to walk around and see everything
Catherine Crichton — Google review
A must for a visit of Bonifacio. Worst the steep steps decent and ascent. But pls wear proper shoes (no Havaiinas, or loose sandals). Fair pricing for adults and kids below 6 are free of charge. The visit fit perfectly in a day visit of Bonifacio. Enjoy!
Stefan D. — Google review
Such a nice experience! Going down those stairs was really nice and scary at the same time time as there was some water on the stairs. The view is super nice, from the top and also when you reach down. They open at 10, I went there I the morning and was not crowded. I enjoyed taking a lot of pictures
F. Zefi — Google review
Well worth the five euros they charge to go down. You have to put on a hardhat as there are some low hanging rocks above your head most of the way. Very steep descent so you better be prepared to go back up! There are 188 steps not all of them are equal in size some of them are pretty steep. Once you get down to the bottom there are some amazing views of the cliffs and the rocks ahead. The water is gorgeous and it’s such a serene view. The path is narrow but it’s definitely worth the trip.
tony villa — Google review
A totally unique experience to go down the calanque staircase to get to a point to walk along the side of the Calanques to see the turquoise sea. Definitely worth the 5€ and to go early when it opens to avoid passing many others participating in the same experience.

Quite high 180 steps to climb. 2,50 euro entrance. Nice view indeed. Don’t do this in hot summer if you’re not in normal shape or have bad knees

Bonifacio and also the whole south of Corsica are to be seen and experienced in every way. We chose the right place to do it because our holiday in the apartment "Faro di Capo Testa" in the fantastic Bonifacio was just as we wished.
The apartment is a tastefully decorated jewel in an extraordinary location in the old downtown of Bonifacio and very well located to reach the key points, restaurants and shops of the town. Although the streets are always full of days and nights, the apartment is very quiet and we really got a good rest each day.
A small balcony, overlooking a small square, invites you to have an aperitif in the open air watching the people passing by and admiring the white cliffs located exactly in front of the apartment. The landscape from this point is simply breathtaking and one the best of the town.
The cleanliness of the apartment deserves a good 10.
Meticulous in every detail detail, Federica has managed to make our stay in Bonifacio a really pleasant and unforgettable experience. She was always very professional and helpful in her advices both before and during our stay.
Highly recommended with all 5 * * * *

The Porragia Island archipelago, situated between Porto Vecchio and Bonifacio, comprises of stunning granite rocks and boulders that form a beautiful landscape. Iles de Lavezzi and Ile Cavallo are two prominent islands that lie here, making it an enticing location to visit. As the whole area is a marine reserve, visitors can take the tender to explore and swim around these lovely islands.
Capo Testa is a picturesque coastal area in the northernmost point of Sardinia. It offers visitors stunning views of the sea and rocky hiking trails, as well as coves with small sandy beaches to explore. The peninsula is known for its weather-carved granite boulders that resemble sculptures by Henry Moore and a sturdy lighthouse that overlooks the blue waters towards Corsica.
Lovely panoramic view and setting, beautifull spos and bars. Parking tricky (need to come very early) be careful parking attendants are red hot there.

Really impressing rocks & worth a visit! Parking not so easy and the trails need some hints where to go. The beach directly at Capo Testa is a unique place, but extremely crowded - and hard to reach (some „climbing“).

Capo Testa is great for a walk to discover the rock formations sculpted by the wind. But it is also great for a swim. There are two sides, on one side a long strip of sand and the other a couple of hidden small creeks with some sand. We chose the later for its peaceful nature and crystal clear water.
Parking could be a big issue during the high season. While you come on the road and see some cars, park, don’t go further thinking you will find something. You won’t.

This is the most beautiful and interesting coast in Sardegna. Crystal clear water, some fish, strange rock formations and several path around.
Be careful with the parking! If you manage to find a place, where the whole car is beyond the white line, you are lucky, you can park for free. If a part of your car crosses the white line, you will pay a nice fine,so better choice to find a blue line slot and pay at a machine...

When I arrived at Olbia and I checked in my first question was
What place should I visit If I have only 3 days here?
The answer was: If you have a car you should visit Capo Testa
Capo Testa is located at the north of Olbia.
It is the closest point to Corsica and you can see it’s coast
This place (Capo Testa) is not only beautiful for being nearest to Corsica but also for the phenomenal small beaches with
Yellow sand, rocks and blue and crystalline water
You can find several beautiful beaches between Capo Testa and Santa Taresa di Galluro where you can choose either small beaches, Bahia’s and beaches a little bigger
If you are thinking in visiting Cerdeña staying in Olbia, you must visit Capo Testa (it’s far away 60 kms from Olbia)

Great little beach in the middle of a small bay, reminiscent of "the beach" in terms of shape and color...behind it, like a strip of fresh water, is a natural paradise with grasses, reeds and many small animals on land and water. Now in April the beach is almost deserted, cloth to cloth during the season, as it is almost the only sandy beach in this area. Even on a hiking trail further along the coast towards Isola Rossa, the nature that presents itself is breathtaking. The evening atmosphere is unique.

Nice beach some 10 minutes walking distance from parking place. Sandy on the beach, in a bigger part stoney in water, better to be ready to wear appropriate shoes. There is an overpriced kinda bar... with no reason to be there. No coffee, nor ice-cream.

Beautiful bay with a small beach and crystal clear water. To get to the beach you must take the paved path that leads from the parking lot. Be sure to wear sneakers. All the locals walk in sports shoes, and the tourists slap in sandals and stumble with every step. The path is paved, but not everywhere. The path takes about 15-20 minutes one way, you have to go uphill. The view of the sea and the bay is truly magnificent.

Really a beautiful beach that is ideal for snorkeling and relaxing.
Finding a parking space is anything but easy. The path there is nice and takes about 10 minutes, depending on how sure-footed you are. The beach itself is nice and sandy, but quickly overcrowded with people.
The first 3 meters into the water are cloudy from all the sunscreen, which is anything but pleasant. The water gets deep enough for swimming quite quickly (approx. 4m).
At the back of the beach there is a freshwater pond where sea snakes can also be found and the birds get some insects and drinking water. However, I wouldn't recommend it for swimming.
There is also a beach bar where you can get chilled drinks or ice cream, which uses a diesel generator to spread a somewhat unpleasant smell of diesel across the beach.
If you want to get away from people, you can also walk a little further over the rocks (the path up over the rocks might be a little more difficult for some). Unfortunately there is no sand there, but there is clear water and, above all, peace.
All in all, a recommendation if you can tolerate crowds of people or can get along without a sandy beach.

A very nice, hidden beach with slightly coarser sand. The path to the beach itself is a highlight. You have to go up and down a few steps before you reach the beach after about 10 minutes. It is beautifully enclosed between rocks and has a small mountain range with a freshwater river in its back.
There is a free parking lot, from which the path to the beach leads directly.

Our favourite beach in the Santa Teresa for both the clear water + how easy it was to park and walk from the car park to the beach. We visited in June and car park was free.

La Marinedda is a stunning beach located near Isola Rossa in northern Sardinia. It is surrounded by red granite rocks and Mediterranean shrub, offering a long stretch of beautiful coastline where visitors can freely set up their umbrellas. The beach is popular among sea sports enthusiasts and hosts an annual global surf competition. With pristine water, shallow depths, and vibrant colors, it's ideal for swimming and snorkeling.
Playa la Marineda it's a nice beach close to Isola Rosa. If you don't rent a car it's not easy to get to Isola Rosa from Alguero. We had to change 3 busses to get there and it took a whole day. Having this in mind, Isola Rosa and it's beaches are nice. You just need patience to get there 😂
There are some beautiful beaches around such as La Marineda. The wind blows pretty hard there so it's a good spot for surf.
It's a nice and relaxing beach, big enough.
Surrounded by rocks and green hills, this beach it's a great place for you to take pictures.
Sunsets here are amazing.
I recommend it if you visit Isola Rosa and it's beaches! Good food at affordable prices. You must try the pizza, ohh the pizza was delicious!! And the ice cream! Try the figue ice cream! Enjoy!! 😋

The beach itself is very beautiful, the water is calm and clear. The only thing that bothers me is that the bar « Mistral » takes extremely long time to serve your food, it came after 2 hours and my child was very hungry, when I went and asked the waitress she was rather rude.

Visited in mid September and it was perfect. Not crowded. Clear and calm water when we visited and interesting snorkelling on the right hand side of the beach. Parking was also free.

Cala Spalmatore beach is a serene location that offers plenty of opportunities for swimming, snorkelling and boating. It boasts clear waters and is surrounded by cliffs, creating a natural haven for various plant and fish species, making it an ideal spot for snorkelling enthusiasts. The beach itself is pleasant, though the sand may not be as thin or white as other beaches in the area.
Lovely little secluded beach, very quiet and peaceful, lots of little fish in the sea

The beach is tiny, expect a crowd. You can rent out a lounger. Shallow waters ideal for kids to snorkel. Careful, plenty of sea urchins around. Quite a few boats anchor nearby. Parking is on edge of road so be careful!

Nice beach, I think there are nicer one around the island but my partner was very fond of this one. If you are keen you can walk through the water to get to some quiet spots :) i stepped on a sea urchin so be careful!

Great little beach on La Maddalena. Rock formations surround this beach on three sides, making it naturally sheltered from the wind. On the very left there’s a tiny separated part, so if you’re lucky, you can fee like you are all alone there

Beautiful beach with good snorkeling! Nice little bar although we only got drinks. Beach can get quite busy.

the water was not so clean as in other areas around Sardegna. I think there are much better places/ beaches to visit in La Maddalena

Beautiful! Less windy in the morning than other beaches on this part of the island. Also the sand is non-sticky which is nice

Nice beach very close to La Maddalena. It takes around 10 minites by bus to get there and there is a bar with food and drinks. The sea is cristal clear the beach is not too big but there are two of then next to each other, so you surely can find a place to lay down. The bus cost 1.5eur from La Maddalena, taxi is around 19eur. Watch the summertime bus timetable as there is no service between noon and 3pm to get there. Not sur eif that was the weekend or weekday though. Go get there and have fun.
