The Hastings Fishermens Museum is a must-see for anyone interested in the local fishing industry. The museum has a wide range of exhibits related to fishing, from memorabilia and photos to a 14-foot model of a 1514 ship. The surrounding area is full of friendly people, making it easy to explore the museums nearby.
A must-visit (if you’re into understanding a towns culture, heritage and history!). The care and attention that has gone into curating stories of Hastings over hundreds of years, photos, models, life size exhibitions and more besides. A wonderful tribute to the town. Wish we’d had a bit longer - spent about 45 minutes here, could be 60-90 depending on how much you want to take in. Be sure to leave a donation and don’t miss some of the outside info boards too.

Cute little museum focusing on the history of fisheries in the area.
It's quite small, but there's a fishing boat you can board and have a look around, and they have many fishing related items.
Worth a stroll around if you're in the area.
Bianca W — Google review
A lovely little museum right by the sea. We were left to explore at our own pace, which took us about 20 mins as we had a small child with us. You can climb on a boat and see sea animal specimens and there’s lots of local history. There’s parking behind it which was vast, £2.20 for an hour or £4 for two hours. Great to sign the visitors book and see where other visitors where from! A small gift shop on the way out and friendly staff. I wouldn’t say it was worth a trip into hasting to visit but definitely great as something to do as part of a bigger day out!

Hate to say it but had low expectations but a decent little museum. Nice history about the local industry and you discover the secret of how the boat got inside the building !
Free entry but please make a donation or make a purchase at the gift shop.

An interesting collection of seafaring ephemera with a traditional fishing boat in the middle of the museum. A superb collection of photographs taken around the boats and people on the shores of Hastings from the early 1900s. Worth popping in to see them, alone.
Pete Bresser — Google review
We had been in Hastings to visit and decided to go in, mainly as it was free. Great decision. Managed by volunteers, it's a great history of fishing in the area. Really interesting and I was surprised to spend so long looking around. Make sure to watch the rescue video, a real example of community coming together. And amazed they had that boat inside!
Simon Foster — Google review
Part of a group of attractions in Old Hastings, the Fisherman's Museum is dedicated to the fisherman of Hastings, depicting their life across the centuries. Outside the museum is a collection of fishing boats, a fisherman's cottage - made out of a boat cut in half - along with the reconstructed net huts used to dry the fishing nets.
Situated near to where the modern day beach fishing fleet is launched, the museum is free to enter - although donations are welcome. Around the boat inside is accessible for visitors in wheelchairs, along with a wing added with models of ships and details about fishing.
The centrepiece of the museum is a fishing boat named The Enterprise, with steps up onto the deck and viewing panels to see inside the fishing boat. This is not accessible for wheelchair users, and children must be accompanied by an adult.
Although others have posted videos from inside the museum on Google Maps, there is a not on one of the walls stating that only personal photographs are permitted.
Outside though, there is plenty of opportunities to video the fishing boats, shack and huts.
There is a small gift shop inside the museum, but for refreshments there is a café beside the Hastings Aquarium and others in the area.
Parking is the local car park at Rock-a Nore.

Great little museum, with lots of artefacts, friendly and knowledgeable staff, and free to enter. Accessible for pushchairs and wheelchair users. Some lovely little souvenirs are available to buy too. Definitely worth a visit
Sarah Louise — Google review
Small but very interesting museum. I really liked looking at the old black and white photos of the fishermen and their families.
Bill B — Google review
Lovely small museum on the lives (and deaths) of fishermen in the area. Hastings was an important fishing port back in the day, and this place offers a fascinating glimpse into its history, albeit often tragic. There are countless items to explore, most of them donated by local people over the years. Heart and centre of the exhibit is an original fishing boat, but there are numerous tools, memorabilia, newspaper articles and historical photos to see. Entry is free, you're welcome to take photos, please leave a small donation before your departure. When in Hastings, this place is a must. Hastings Contemporary (art gallery) and the Shipwreck Museum are close by, too.

Lovely museum to remember ways of living in the past on board ship. Well worth a visit as there is no entry fee but donation are welcome. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the items on show. The museum is in an old church with some of the stained glass windows still present. There is lots of exhibits especially the old ship in the centre of the room. This place is suitable for all ages

Breathtaking views ! Perfect for a little family adventure. It was a great hike and was one of the best parts of our stay. I would definitely recommend visiting here to explore it’s beauty. There is a ice cream van so you can reward yourself after a long hike (we walked around 2.5 hours) - it was great! It would be great to take some food bits to have a picnic and enjoy lunch whilst looking over the cliffs :).

Quick way to spend 4 quid per person to go up a hill and back. I refused to pay so don't quote me on the price, it was covered by the other half. Nice views at the top. There's perfectly good stairs next to the lift if you are able. It has history so people want to go on it. Definitely a 1 time thing unless you have mobility issues.

Excellent way of getting up the east hill , the ride is fast and smooth. Very impressive considering how old the lift is. The views are amazing going up and down . £4 round trip is good , well worth the money. Staff are lovely and very friendly 😊

Hastings East hill lift upper station. It is a nice place to experience, an old lift , a breath taking view while you are going up to the top. You can see the view of the beach, adventure park, and even the pier. When you reach the top, there’s a nature park, you can explore the place, walk around , I see some people are jugging and walking there dogs. Benches are available to rest, but it’s nice to sit on grass instead. Not much people though, social distancing was observed. Kids will enjoy seeing some rabbits. Between 1.00pm to 1.30pm the staff that operates the lift will have there lunch break so the lift is closed. So plan your trip before you take the lift. Don’t forget there’s a west hill as well don’t forget to check it out!

The train like east lift is the steepest lift in the UK provides access to the Hastings Country Park, can take 14 people at a time. It takes less then 2 minutes to reach the top of the hill. We enjoyed the Hasting beach and part of the Hasting castle during this short journey. The price for this return journey may be costly [£4 per adult] but the family option is reasonable and you can also get senior citizen and child discount. This was a memorable short journey for us and we liked it very much.

Absolutely must visit for any rail or lift enthusiast, as you'll get both in this one attraction. Wonderful piece of local history, great example of local council looking after society's wellbeing. For over 100 years helping people to get to the top of the steep hill to enjoy time in local park and admire wonderful seaside scenery. For those feeling fit already or looking to improve their fitness level, there are stairs, of course. But for a few quid only, you will get a return ticket for a quick and comfortable ride in this historic railway.

You can only buy a return ticket but there is an option to walk up or down.

An hour or so self guided tour of Hastings caves. I feel it’s a little over priced for the hour but understand they have to cover overheads. Some really interesting facts and history of the caves/Hastings. A nice day out if you are to include other sightseeing trips in Hastings.
Rebecca Seldon — Google review
Located on the West Cliffs of Hastings Old Town is the Smugglers Adventure, set inside St Clements's Caves - not far from Hastings Castle.
Access is via steps and a narrow foot path, so is not accessible = as is the caves for those in a wheelchair. Push chairs are also not allowed in the caves but there is a push chair parking.
Some of the passageways are dark and steep. The can also be damp in places. - nearly slipped on a metal plate descending down the entrance passage way. Also there are some very low ceilings and passage ways.
There are plenty of items on display abut the history of the caves and smuggling in the area. There are also mannequins in various poses and an interactive display. Some of the displays can scare the unexpected such as a prisoner rattling the bars of his cage and the skeleton of the unfortunate Hairy Jack rising from the grave.
There is a small gift shop in the caves but it didn't seem to well stocked on my visit. The tour of the caves is also self guided.
To get up to the site from the old town there are two options. One is walking up the various pathways, the other is via the West Cliff lift. There is some parking on the roads nearby, but this may be full during busy times.
Otherwise parking is on the seafront and other local car parks.

This place was amazing. It just kept going and going. Lots of turning and hidden corners. Very interactive for children and lots of history to learn in a fun way. Took about an hour to go round and cost £44 I think.
Lucy Pearce — Google review
Really fun attraction! It was much bigger that I thought, and packed full of information and mannequins and videos telling you all about smuggling. It takes a bit of time for your eyes to get used to the darkness, so use your phone torch if needed! Loved it!
Yann LL — Google review
It’s a very atmospheric place, a bit spooky in the beginning but nothing scary. Children loved it, but I’d personally love to see actors dressed as pirates and some interaction with them
Nina Ischenko — Google review
It was a good experience. Some of the figures looked a bit old & tired but it was a big thumbs up from the teenagers that were with us.
Karen Gillion — Google review
Really confused by the number of positive reviews. £50 for a family of 2 adults and 3 children, only an hour of our time.
Mild blood and violence, but suitable for most kids. One of our children hated the scary nature of it, so be warned if your kids are sensitive.
Some displays had broken buttons. Seemed pretty old and outdated on the whole. Kids didn’t understand what smuggling was even with the attempts to teach in videos. Most interesting part of the visit was seeing how they hid items.
The cave has some interesting carvings. Otherwise lacklustre compared to others.
Toilets in the middle of the cave was nice.
Wish we had spent our money and hour elsewhere.
Erin J — Google review
We visited here as part of the 3 attraction purchase. It was different, and worth a one off visit. We learnt a little about smugglers and life back then, which was interesting. It was bigger than we expected. We took our 5 children here, ages ranging from 4-9. They enjoyed the interactive parts.
Natalie Arnold — Google review
Great adventure, coupling some history with the underground caving experience. It details the practice of the smuggling gangs from a few centuries ago. It’s a little spooky, so beware. 👻
I found it really informative. Some of the interactions were not working. 😢

Interesting cave complex that you can explore to learn about the history of smuggling in Hastings. There are some low ceiling and dark areas - so it helps if you have a torch/phone. You can save money by buying a 3 in one ticket for the aquarium, Smugglers Adventure and Hastings Castle.

Visited today with my family, haven't been since I was a kid. Hasn't changed that much. Kids loved walking around the caves. The tour guide Hairy Jack the smuggler 😂 definitely brought the place alive, kids loved learning about the caves past and the interaction activities. Really only spend about just over an hour there not too long. Gift shop did look abit sorry for it self. Staff member was brilliant tho sorting out the kids photos into keyrings. Worth a visit they even take carers and those with disabilities into consideration.

Smugglers Adventure is a tourist attraction located in Hastings, England. It is housed in St. Clements Caves, which were used by smugglers in the 18th century. The attraction tells the story of smuggling in Hastings and the surrounding area.
The tour of Smugglers Adventure takes visitors through the caves, which have been transformed into a series of scenes depicting smuggling activities. There are waxwork figures of smugglers, customs officers, and other characters, as well as interactive displays.
Smugglers Adventure is a great place to learn about the history of smuggling in Hastings. The tour is informative and entertaining, and the waxwork figures and interactive displays make it come alive. The tour is suitable for all ages, and it is a great way to spend a few hours in Hastings.

We visited here with our two boys. We weren't too sure what to expect. There was no waiting time, we could go straight in which was great. The tour is interesting and with plenty of interactive things to do and see. I thought there would be a bit more human interaction with actors but it consists of videos and screens as you walk throughout. It was very quiet and there was only one other family. Although my kids were a bit scared, I enjoyed this tour and it is worth seeing. We paid £37 for a family ticket which I feel was a bit overpriced but it was a nice experience.
Karen B — Google review
Fun cave system with enough interaction for all ages to enjoy. The choice to allow people to explore at their own pace (assuming opposed to being guided on a tour) is excellent as you spend the time you want on the parts that interest you. Highly recommended for all ages.
Tom Carter — Google review
A very interesting place where you can learn a lot about its history. The tour is enhanced by several mannequins and little games. I really enjoyed it :). Unfortunately, I forgot my bag there and went back to Germany, where I live. The very friendly staff proposed to send it back to me, so I received it and they even paid the postage. Thanks again :-))))
I would recommend you again.

Worth visiting for its beautiful restored dock and the variety of restaurants and shops on offer. The pier is also home to open-air events so visitors can enjoy some lively entertainment too.
Lots of improvements made on the pier in the last few years.
A fair amount of traders and small fair on entry to the pier.
I would advise going all the way to the end to get the best view

A very charming dock with many leisure options, lovely views. A good place to have a drink and watch the sunset, concerts or a good chat with friends. If you like to fish, many people do it from this pier. When we went we also found a small fair with attractions for children. At the end of the pier you can also see information about the pier and other types of things about everything that has to do with fauna, boats that are in the area. A must visit without a doubt

A nice place to take photos of the sea, hang around, have a snack or coffee. In the summer with mild or no wind it's a good place to see the Sun down. There are concerts from time to time on the pier. Car parks aren't far away. The beach has nice sands and just couple of minutes walk. The city center and train station is aproximately 15 minutes walk. Along the sea side road you'll find shops, restaurants, take aways and grocery stores.

A nice wide pier with plenty of room and some seating at the bottom.
Currently very empty with only a few rides at the entrance.
There's an upper viewing area with glass that's quite nice and shielded from the wind.
Great for taking photos from and you're able to see the " old " pier if you look over the end..
Dogs are currently allowed on the pier which is unusual. ( March 23 ).

So it is a very nice small Pier and you can enjoy it for sure, doesn't Matter if u r there with Ur GF or FAMILY.
But to the Beach itself i hate (don't like it) cause it is with that small stones.

PS: hear & feel the Noise of the Sea you will feel relaxed & calm

Knockhatch Adventure Park is a family-friendly attraction that features a petting farm, owl sanctuary, waterslides, rowing lake and soft play area. The park offers ample parking on site and plenty of food outlets and picnic areas. While some rides require additional charges, tickets can be obtained at the gift shop. To accommodate busy periods during school holidays, visitors are advised to plan ahead to avoid long queues.
Really great day put. Seems expensive initially but so much inside to do. Staff are polite and area is really clean. Some rides are extra charge usually 4 or 5 quid but you must get tickets at gift shop, would be an idea to add contactless payment on rides. Expect to queue in busy times. Plenty food outlets and picnic areas. Ample parking on site. Really recommend Knockhatch as an around fun family day out.

One of the best parks I have visited in a long while, I have a 5 and 4 year old and there was so much to do.
There is such a large variety and even the food stalls where fair priced, my own constructive criticism is that there needed to be more readily available drinks sales stalls.
Fantastic day out and would highly recommend

Can get very busy now people know where it is. So plan ahead on busy school holiday days. We always have amazing fun here it’s just a shame some of the attraction is always closed. If you can get into the dragon castle it’s brilliant. Every part of this place is great to visit.

Me, my friend, my dad went to knock hatch. At first it seemed very expensive but when you go it’s worth it. The food was very good and I loved the soft play area. There were some very cute animals, and some wierd ones. Every ride I went on was, fun and adrenaline rushing. Unfortunately I did get a friction burn on one of the slides because I didn’t know you had to have a fully covered shirt. But that was all my fault. The slides I went on (all but red) were very fun, the games behind them were also fun. Although for some rides you do have to go to the shop to get a ticket, which will cost an extra 4 or 5 pound but it’s all worth it. The staff were very nice, friendly. I can’t wait to go there again with my friends, family and have an even better time every time I go!

Brilliant day out for younger children, very clean park and helpful polite staff. If you plan to eat here I would advise a packed lunch as for the price of things I would expect better quality food, burgers are microwaved and drink sizes are small compared to prices charged.

Fantastic day out. So much to do we couldn't fit it all in. Arrived at 0930. Got in the park at 10.00. Non stop fun & entertainment for our 2 grandchildren until we left at 1600. Food was very reasonable at £15. See photo. Paid £4 to go on the bungee trampoline which was fine. Most things are free but things like the go karts are a fiver. Entrance fee varies for orange or green days. We used Tesco vouchers & paid the equivalent of £10 per head X 4 on an orange day (everything open). Didn't get time to do the boating lake, crazy golf or the hen house. Will definitely pay Knock Hatch another visit. Loved the Sherlock Holmes experience. Made me jump a couple of times. The kids love it here ,adventure farm , great lay out , lots of parking . We took a group so paid under £20 per head ,
Drop slides and water slides favourite s , plenty of of covered areas to picnic and a range of play areas ,
A few things you always pay extra for , go karts , bouncy trampolines, mini diggers buy tokens on the way in .
Good selection of food outlets , but we always bring a picnic .
Needs another ice cream out let in centre .
We always love to feed the fish in lake , and get a rowing boat out .
A range of wonderful animals to see and bird of prey show worth a watch .
So good to see a local adventure park doing well and NOT pushing junk food on every corner.
My only grip the new pay game £2 a go ,Duck Derby is very noisy and in a covered picnic area , not a good move , this should be left to enjoy food with the family with out distractions and noise .
Parking free 🤩
Overall we love it here well done team 😎😎🌟🌟

We had the best day. Slide heaven for my autistic 7 year old! Slightly concerned by how many paper cups the alpaca(?) Eats. He stole mine out of my hand 😂
We can't wait to come back

Absolutely amazing, so much to do for both adults and children. Lots of animals, slides, go karts for younger and older kids, a picnic area to have your own food. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly. I learnt a lot about owls when we went. One criticism, it's quite expensive to get in, and for some rides, they then charge you again, like the go karts and the bungee trampoline. Great fun tho.

Charleston is a truly magical place. The tour of the house was excellent with knowledgable and friendly guides. You need do need to be on time as they have a very tight schedule. There’s a lovely cafe and shop and stunning gardens.

Anyone who grew up in a family of "artists" in an old, venerable house and has already had enough of old furniture and creaking floorboards should not go here. Anyone who is interested in a reasonably important family of artists and wants to get to know their roots and is willing to pay 20 pounds for it should take a look. I found the prices at the museum restaurant a bit outrageous. I paid €18 for two 0.3 liter bottles of beer and a 0.2 liter bottle of water.

Such a beautiful house in a picturesque downlands setting. The team working there are so knowledgeable and bring it all to life. Superb restaurant as well. Our 3rd visit and it just gets better every time.

A great place to visit, very interesting to get there at last. All the volunteers are both knowledgeable and friendly- I would highly recommend a visit. When we visited the Hockney exhibition was an added bonus. There is also a nice coffee shop, with generous indoor space as well as outdoor seating which I imagine would be nice in the summer.

If you have an interest in The Bloomsbury Group or simply the work of artists around the early 1900,s then this is the place to visit. Charleston House is a truly interesting and delightful place.
Currently the set up(as of October 2021) is that you book a time slot and volunteers are placed in each room of the house and give you a brilliant insight into the comings and goings of the Bloomsbury Group occupants. The house is spacious but not huge so naturally visitor numbers need managing. There is a walled garden, not massive but lovely never the less.
Cost was £20 pounds p.p. but that did include entrance to an art exhibition being held there. Car parking is free. Approach to the house is good and not muddy. I didn't feel you needed wellies or boots.
There is a very good cafe there serving light lunches and cakes, teas, coffee and drinks. Apparently they also run workshops as well.
I also read that they are only supported by entrance fees , cafe monies and volunteer groups. In my opinion these smaller places of interest are real jewels of our county.
Some "taster" photos shared.
P.S.
Small note but the sign for Charleston House sited on the A 27 is mainly obscured by trees and seems to be at an odd angle. We drove straight past it initially . Post code address for sat nav is pretty good. Once off the A27 signage was obvious. Web site said to watch out for side ditches upon approach but these seem to have been filled in now.

Idyllic place on a hot autumn day. The house which goes back to at least 16C is beautifully preserved as Vanessa Bell's home and centre of the Bloomsbury Group. The garden is the highlight, a riot of flowers and shrubs with a lovely large pond plus beautiful views of the Downs. Only the cafe didn't impress, dull cake and no atmosphere.

You got a real sense of how the Bloomsbury Group used to live and express their creative and intellectual talent.
The garden is beautiful and the cafe was an unexpected delight, the food is Italian inspired and truly outstanding, way above the standard of usual cafes at these type of places, definitely worth a visit just for the cafe!

Beautiful and interesting cottage. Everything (everything!) inside hand decorated by its artist occupants in the interwar period.
Lovely cafe and small, but well curated, gallery as well.

Nestled against beautiful Downland, the original house, which has been styled back to 1930s/40s retains it's simplicity while the outbuildings have been pleasantly and effectively developed with an exquisite gallery hosting temporary exhibitions of note, and a cafe. There are also picnic tables by the ample green moss car park.

If you follow me through social media then I'm gonna start talking about trauma and survival of it well all I can say is that this place is number one on my list of this to go somewhere and feel safe if and remember what it is to be young again, has a child.
I was very much into art because of my uncle Tony Lawrence I give thanks for his gift to me on my 5th birthday it was an art set, which was red, with all the colors of crayons it was by Crayola.
On the white broad, you have stencils on one side and smooth on the other side so you just draw. The set holds your paper as well as space for more equipment that one may need at that age.
I also remember the yellow ruler that slid alongside the tracks molded in the set. He never knew that that personally goes for yours gaslighted all my life by his very own brother!
Anyway back to Charleston house this place is an incredibly beautiful field of history and works of art that you would all recognize throughout your life.
I have to say the before the the tour began our initial guides person Peter, literally said that right words to me at that moment in time there is a special place with wonderful people and is a breath of fresh air away from the city this is why the Bloomsbury group chose this area where you can feel safe.
I literally have to walk away and burst into tears. I'm actually doing it right now so I'm writing.
Stories that took place within this home are amazing and I resonate with them and see a lot of people that stayed here interests in me.
Could you imagine me Inspector Gadget did I have a wire for my phone to charge fast enough today and it died only halfway through my tour, maybe that's the universe's way of saying b**** come back another time and take pictures or less is more!
Either way I will be coming back again this place is amazing as I need to see this summer.

Beautiful location. The house was not as I expected at all. It was absolutely charming with a pretty walled garden and a pond. The house had a very homely, comfy feel with lots of interesting and personal touches courtesy of the former famous tennants. The house is well preserved and the staff were very knowledgeable with lots of fascinating stories to tell. My only criticism is that the entrance fee to the house is a bit pricey.

Charleston House is an amazing work of art. Walking around the rooms of Charleston truly felt like stepping back in time, giving visitors the opportunity to see life through the eyes of the Bloomsbury Group. The space is gorgeous inside and out, and it’s easy to get lost in Charleston’s beauty; minutes quickly become hours while touring the property.
But beware - do not touch anything!! I absentmindedly placed my hand down on the kitchen table while learning about the history of the room and got told off by an employee (rules are rules, but it was an innocent mistake…). The café is a nice spot to visit afterwards. My almond croissant was delicious and my chai latte was quite good, although it had the strange aftertaste of a candle (in a good way?). All in all I had an amazing time at Charleston, and I would love to return someday!

I keep seeing references to this house and we finally visited recently. We were completely charmed. Everyone was so friendly and keen to share stories and information, and the decoration and paintings were wonderful. Lovely garden. Lovely walk up to the Downs directly behind the house, and a really first class cafe with mouthwatering focaccia and cakes. Good shop with quality souvenirs. Hope to be back soon.

Incredible house to visit. You'll be gobsmacked by the intimate liaisons of the different members of the Bloomsbury group. Someone should make a movie about it. When you go, make sure you chat to the lovely female staff in every room, they're incredibly knowledgeable on the history of the house and everyone that lived there through time

We booked tickets online. There is a large, free car park a short distance from the house. The house was really interesting, with very knowledgeable attendants. It felt like the Bloomsbury group had just stepped out and would be back shortly. The cafe was warm and the food was good. There were good toilet facilities. The David Hockey exhibition was fantastic.
Middle Farm is a delightful attraction for families with diverse livestock including sheeps, lambs, cows, chickens, baby chicks, rabbits, pigs, goats and horses. Additionally there are exotic species such as guinea pigs and rheas to observe. The farm features a hay barn where children can play and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Visitors can also witness the birth of a lamb and bottle feed them under the knowledgeable guidance of friendly staff members.
Had another lovely day at the farm. They don’t charge for under 3s unlike other farm attractions making this a really reasonable day out. Especially considering the events during the day such as animal feeding are included. You can also get really close up to the animals unlike godstone farm. The lamb bottle feeding is a real
Bonus. I’m surprised at the other reviews about this to be honest. Yes there’s a queue, but its
The only farm I know of where the children get to feed and stroke a lamb up close. And yes it’s a relatively quick feed but when they’re busy they can’t force feed lambs to give kids a longer go. There’s only so many sheep needing a feed! We never had an issue getting food for the other animals and didn’t have to pay unlike at other farms we go to. And in response to the other review about kids grabbing too much food, this was very much regimented when we went apart from a few kids whose parents just let them grab whatever they wanted. This is by far our favourite and the staff are all lovely and friendly. Would recommend to anyone for a family friendly day out.

Had a lovely time here with family and friends.
Children loved playing in the Hay amd seeing/stroking the animals.
Loved the range of cider to buy/try. The tea rooms was lovely, everything homemade, my only criticism is there was not much choice for vegans, only a vegan pasty. Which was very tasty.
All in all a great place.

A very nice farm with good food and nice little shops. We stopped here for lunch as part of a booked tour. Even though it was crowded, the service was great and we got the food without much delay. It was all very fresh and tasty food at very reasonable prices. This is a must visit spot (I'd say so even if it is just for the fresh meals). We tried a jacket potato, Cornish pasty, sausage rolls, quiche and some cakes. The coffee and hazelnut cake was superb. All of their food was excellent and served with fresh veggies.
We quickly browsed through the shops and were impressed. It was a little sad that we didn't get to spend more time here. This is indeed a must visit!

Definitely a fan of Middle Farm. We often stop by to pick up a few treats from the Farm Shop/Deli and to grab a bite to eat in the cafe.
The breads, pasties and pies are great. I only wish they would provide a selection of readymade sandwiches/rolls in the shop, rather than having to use the Tea Rooms.
There is always a decent selection of plants and the array of Ciders is excellent. We occasionally visit the farm and have a peak at the animals but I never quite fully understand why adults have to pay to accompany their kids, especially after spending money in the tea-room or shop.
A trip to only use the playground with my daughter cost me £14 today. There has to be a fairer way. I'd already spent more than that for lunch.

Well stocked Farm shop, local ciders & tasting. Children's playground and hay barn to scramble around & trail walk. Annual lamb bottle feeding event & meet small animals. Easy parking.

The staff are Very friendly and the farm has a great selection of farm yard animals to see .loads of pigs snoring away and still quieter than the missus.
Llamas and goats were a hit without 2 year old grandson .
The tea room was good ,,the home made food was really nice .I had the ploughmans which was lovely and the wife had the ham and cheese quiche ,she enjoyed it satisfactuarly .
Only down point was the cola which wasnt the best.

Recently moved to Eastbourne and was looking for a nice place to shop for groceries. Found this while driving around the area. Lovely place with a huge selection of artisan and local products. Vegetable selection is massive and primarily locally sourced. They have chicken eggs and duck eggs from their own farm. So far my favourite place to shop for produce in this area. Nice place to get coffee too and had mulled cider in their cider shop. Plenty of selection, will be coming back here every week!

A good cafe, with reasonable prices, a farm shop, another shop selling many different types of cider and beer, some of which can be sampled, and some sort of area for interaction with farm animals.
All in all a good experience from the visit, my cream tea was best

This lovely shop is located on the road between Lewes and Rye. A variety of ciders can be tasted and wine is also available. In the farm shop you can buy snacks such as cheese, bread and pastries. There is also an animal park outside, which is a great place for all ages to relax and have a good time. 2 hours should be enough time to have a good time.

I used to come here when I was a kid so it’s been a while and was so lovely to visit with my 6YO. It’s just perfect for a day out with littles and so reasonable at £7per person with animals to see, lots of areas to play and they put on a day of events too! We really had the most lovely day arrived at 11 and didn’t leave til nearly 4pm! It’s great for adults too, a perfect balance: farm shop with amazing ciders and wines and gift shop with lovely bits, and then the plant nursery is just gorgeous, so reasonably priced and I really wanted to buy everything! Recommend a visit for sure!

I took my niece and granddaughter for a day out to Middle Farm, and there are aspects I don't like; I'm not happy seeing animals in cages and tiny pens, but the animals look well loked after. There's also no shade from the sun for some animals in the big fields.
The staff are always lovely and we had a nice couple.of hours there.
I love the tea room, the farm shop and all the others stuff they have there. It's just the whole animal in small enclosures that is upsetting. The young pigs are in stalls, desperate for interaction being the intelligent animals they are, it was just heartbreaking seeing them isolated and in concrete stalls.
The country house of Glyndebourne annually hosts the prestigious Glyndebourne Festival, featuring six productions in a 1200-seat opera house. The venue boasts lovely surroundings and a helpful and friendly parking/welcome staff. The restaurant provides excellent meals, but some visitors have noted a lack of attention to detail, such as not being offered drinks upon seating and cold coffee after dinner.
Beautiful inside and out! Saw Charlie Chaplin's City Lights and the whole experience was phenomenal. Wonderful orchestra, warm atmosphere. It's so good experiencing live music again ❤️

Had a fantastic first visit. Watched a festive concert. Only paid a tenner for a standing place ticket in the upper circle. It was perfectly fine. There’s a narrow bench type thing you can perch on. It’s a great view, high up. The mulled wine was lovely. An entertaining day, highly recommended.

Restaurant: excellent meal but overall experience was a let down because of the lack of attention to detail - we weren't offered drinks after being seated and had to ask the person who brought our meal some 15 minutes later! After dinner coffee was cold. Warm bread would also have been nice.
The opera was most enjoyable.

It was an experience, from the grounds, to the picnic and obviously the opera house. It was a mixed type of audience, different ages groups of friends and colleagues. Nice relaxed atmosphere. The performance was good, a slow start but warmed up with the character of Iris. Overall pick an opera you know and would enjoy and go with people you like to relax with as the intervals (yes more than one for us) are at least an hour long to allow for snacks, champagne and strawberries 🍓 😀

Went to see La Boheme here in October. Lovely auditorium and great performance. Every care taken to make it a premium experience, which is fair enough, given the ticket prices! The gardens were lovely and I would have liked longer to look around. There were marquees available to picnic indoors as well as outside. Plenty of parking as well.

Went to the open Garden event. Beautiful countryside and gardens. Unfortunately, the weather was against us for a picnic, so we thought we'd go for a cream tea, but so did everyone else and they closed the kitchen. Definitely want to return in September for the next open garden.
The auditorium was also open. The sound gave me goosebumps. Need to save up to buy a pair of tickets for the opera. Must absolutely blow your mind hearing it there.

A wonderful experience right through from the venue, performance, food and service. Excellently run event. Dining options range from taking your own picnic, large groups seemed to go for this option, collecting a ready prepared picnic at the venue or restaurant dining options. Glyndebourne is a well established part of the English summer season. The opera festival started in 1934 and has developed into a slick cultural event. Very well organised with lots of "picnic" options. Worth getting there early for the best spots in the garden if you're bringing your own.
The theatre is modern air-conditioned and has generous seating. Fantastic experience even if your not an opera buff.

Great place, gardens, buildings and service. But unfortunately my box to see Don Giovanni (box 15) did not have "restricted views" there were no views... Because the stairs move all the action to the other side of the theater.

A quintessentially English opera experience. Superb opera productions with brilliant performers, outstanding sets and costumes. Add to that the setting of Sir Christie's estate in the middle of the English countryside which plays host to the traditional 90 minute intervals picnic. Who could wish for more?
Lewes Castle & Museum is a 16th-century timber-framed house that showcases local history exhibits and hosts events and weddings. Although it's not an actual castle, the remains and grounds are impressive, with visitor information panels that could use some refreshing. The spiral stairs are narrow but manageable, offering great views in all directions from the top. The gardens are beautiful, with plenty of benches for visitors to enjoy.

Would recommend visiting, great view from the top and some signs giving informative information. Great little museum, very interesting visit. Be careful going up the tower, although they have added wood to make the steps level on the spiral staircase, they are very narrow so if you have massive feet or vertigo be very careful!

The views, the views! You can see why the Norman's built a castle here, so high up and with stunning vistas when you get to the top. Be aware that the spiral staircases are narrow and steep, medieval masons didn't go in for roominess. But take heart, there is also a decent sized garden with a central tree half way up which you can rest a while and contemplate.
Col TheIronMan — Google review
Great little museum with archaeological finds from the Palaeolithic to medieval times. A short film on the history of Lewes with insight on some of the unique festivals. The castle is a hike up the motte and a climb up the tower as well as the gatehouse, so not brilliant if you have bad knees and hips. The views are amazing, so totally worth it.
Phil Stevens — Google review
Interesting place to visit and read about. Really castle remains and grounds rather than an actual castle. Some of the visitor information panels had seen better days but it looked like these could be replaced soon. Not too strenuous to walk up, though the spiral stairs are obviously narrow and take some careful manoeuvring. With great views in all directions, it's obvious why the castle was built here.

It is actually a part of what used to be Lewes Castle, at least that what I gathered from all the descriptions and model of the castle. Despite this it has all the necessary features of a castle. I loved the gate and the keep. These still show a typical castle should have. In addition, one can enjoy the whole country side from top of this. The museum is small but rich. Thoroughly enjoyed our time. Just to let everyone know, you have to climb up the stairs all the way tothe top. I didn't see any accessible way.

Lewes Castle set in a beautiful period area, with outstanding views from the Castle towers. Access climb to towers via wide steps, with seating along the way. The views are stunning from the towers with maps to distant view points. The photographs hopefully show the beauty seen from various points of the towers. Very interesting place to visit. Lots of small car parks dotted close to and around the main centre. North Street Car Park, £2.00 all day! Side streets and period shops add to the feel of the visit, mixed with shops and a brewery, Harvey's.

Promenade Park is a historic Victorian riverside park that offers an impressive ornamental lake, forested paths for strolling and various play areas for children. The park is particularly popular with families during the summer months due to its large splash pad and other fun activities. It features mature tree-lined avenues, a pirate ship-style playground, duck feeding spots, mini-golf course and even a petting zoo. The area also boasts food outlets that serve fish and chips, bacon sandwiches and more.
Love Maldon. It's fairly dog friendly and we love the walk across the river and a lunch in our favourite pub. Lunch first, then walk, then ice cream. Then pop up to the Maldon Coffee Company for a variety of blends, ground your way, or a takeaway coffee.

Love it there. It's good for the kids. Have a massive playpark and splashpark when the weather is better. Lovely day out for the whole family. Have got quite a few places to eat if you want to grab some food. Or there are a few places to sit in and eat. Also, a lovely walk along the water and loads of boats to spot. Do go there often, especially when the weather is nice. Kids love it. They also have a little zoo and a mini golf if you fancy something extra. But overall, it is a lovely day out load of parking space.

A lovely place to walk and see the boats, and things to keep the kids entertained as well: an impressive pirate ship-style play area, a splash park that's open in the summer, ducks to feed, a petting zoo, mini golf...the list goes on! There's car parking on-site but we parked in Maldon and walked along the water to get there. A few little food places on-site too, selling fish and chips, bacon sandwiches, sausage rolls and the like.

A fantastic place to go for a family day out, a dog walk, or birdwatching at low tide. Huge grassy open spaces for picnics, ball games - we have seen the space used for large family celebration gatherings.
Wonder towards the promenade (affectionately know locally as ‘The Prom’ and there’s a large fenced in play area (note that no dogs are allowed inside the park). Here there is the popular pirate ship - a huge climbing and play ship, a zip wire, beach hits for hire, a shaded picnic area and the splash park.
See the website for details of splash park ticketing. It gets very popular in the summer so it’s a good idea to book up and pay in advance.
The latest developments include mini golf and a petting zoo.
There is also a well used skate park and ample parking. A small amount of parking is available in a small car park at the bottom end of the car park (easy reach to the fish and chip shop although Maldon has plenty). Follow the signs to a huge field car park. All day for £6 - bargain for what could be a free day out.
You can walk along the prom to the statue of a Britnoth who commemorates the Anglo Saxons who warded off the first Viking invasion.
Views across the estuary are beautiful whatever the time of year; the area is frequented by water birds at low tide. You can walk along the promenade into town; Maldon is full of independent shops, especially coffee shops although there are plenty of snack shacks open along the prom itself selling everything from cold drinks and coffee to ice creams and fish and chips.

Amazing day out for those with little ones.
The splash park was shut which was expected due to it being spring but amazing value for money, the small businesses are amazing value compared to other seaside resorts and the play area was perfect for my two young child.

Upon entry to the large carpark area and purchased your ticket you can head off to several directions depending on how your day is planned. PLEASE NOTE DISABLED BADGE HOLDERS PARK FOR FREE!! Just display your badge clearly.
You can head straight yo the several play areas, kick a ball on the grass, wander along the estuary edge towards yo pub or lake to grab a bite or drink from the many very cheap vendors or head the other way for a spot of crabbing.
It really is much bigger than it seems here with ample parking and toilets too. There is a mini petting zoo but that's pay entry which when it 1st started years ago was a fiver a family now its more than that each person. Shame really. You can but a ice cream for undef £1.50 or cheap chips coffee etc too. There is usually an ice cream van near the play area mugging poor parents off with over inflated prices so try to use one of the permanent buildings for your drinks and snacks but personally I'd just bring a picnic.
As mentioned within this sub review that this place used to be atot better but it seems Maldon council seem a bit begrudge to spend any money on it. Speculate to accumulate guys. It's tired and needs more than a dab of paint it needs investment desperately

We enjoyed a lovely family day out here. It was our first time here, but it her family members have been many times. Booked an early slot in the splash park, which the children really enjoyed. We also booked 2 huts to cover our family. This was a fab base for our day. Storing the buggies and excess luggage. While in the huts, we texted through an order to the cafe, which was quick and easy to do, and will def be doing again.

A lovely place for a walk along the waterfront. There are a few cafes spread along the path where you can grab a hot chocolate or coffee and walk along. In Autumn the trees are gorgeous, and there's a beautiful view back onto the town. Definitely worth a visit!

Beautiful and lots to do.
Maybe because I am lucky enough to live close by, but I love this place and should come here more often.
Something here for everyone - the sun is a welcome addition.
Soultasia music festival is just one of the many events that take place throughout the year.
All the ducks and birds trying to make sense of the partially frozen lake - beautiful.

It showcases a wide range of artifacts from medieval times to the present day, including weapons and spy gadgets. The collection includes thousands of guns, uniforms spanning several centuries, bullets ranging from musket balls to mussels, books, papers and medals. The museum is well-maintained and impresses visitors with its stunning displays. Overall, it offers an extensive and comprehensive glimpse into the history of warfare across various periods.
Honest David's reviews. Well what can I say WOW WOW and WOW, now I have been to many museums but this one is totally amazing.
Set of a small rounder about in heybridge/Maldon you would never believe there was so much military stuff hidden away here.
Honestly I don't know where to start!!! Guns, thousands, uniforms from 1700's to modern day, bullets from musket balls to mussels. Books, papers, medals... I could go on and on and on.. seriously you need to get here one day... It's stunning and so clean.. did I mention WOW... Good because it is.
Full 5 ***** stars from me. Only because I can't give 6

Very interesting museum to visit to learn about history, military service, special forces and spies. Thousands of exhibits like helmets, uniforms, guns etc. Some interactive activities for kids, which is great. Only a shame there was no cafe on site, just a coffee machine with undrinkable coffee. It would be good to have space with drinks and snacks.

One of the very best museum experiences I've ever had. Its small but their collection is huge, very well organised and diverse from the early medieval ages all the way to the modern warfare. And not only a few but really tremendous amount of stuff to wonder and learn about. The crew is incredibly helpful and very knowledgeable, I can only compare this place to the greatest ones like Warwick castle so most probably will go back many times. As a long long long term traditionalist I enjoyed every moment, thank you

I want to say so many thankyous to all staff. It was like friends from school. Julie was great and accommodating. Some of specific exhibits, like fuses, are best I've seen around the world. There are things that most other war museums do not have. Small and huge amount to see in a medium size venue, maybe that's why aspects of exhibits were better...nothing general on display therefore worth a look.

Fantastic place. Small and out of the way but totally worth a visit. Huge and comprehensive collection of arms, uniforms. Equipment, uniforms and a fantastic SOE & ‘spy’ collection. Great and knowledgeable staff as well.
Well worth a visit. I know it’s a bit out of the way but it’s in a nice area of the world so treat yourself!

This place is amazing you have to see it. This collection far outweighs anything for sheer number of exhibits that I have ever seen.

I treasure trove of information, equipment and stories.
I came for a few hours and released I need alot more time.
The team are all very engaging and if you're researching anything military I'd give this place a look they have so much on offer and are happy to help with your research.
I'm currently studying and will 100% be returning.
100% recommended a visit.

Absolutely awesome museum if you are interested in weapons and uniforms. The building is absolutely packed with amazing exhibits. There is also a handling section of pistols and machine guns. Free parking on the road in a quiet industrial estate. Highly recommended.

What a wonderful place jam-packed with artifacts and replicas. The museum has displays covering a vast span of history, including local battles, world wars and spy paraphernalia from which Ian Fleming drew much of his inspiration. The staff at the museum are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Alex was on duty when we visited: he was so engaging and demonstrated a number of deactivated fire arms for us. I thoroughly recommend a visit and will definitely return.

Far exceeded my expectations, and I'm leaving the wife and kids at home next time. This place needs many hours of uninterrupted browsing, the collection is vast and intriguing.
Just one tiny room, housing the Mason's spy craft collection, could have captivated me for the whole trip. The artifacts include real spy cameras, poison darts in a smoking pipe, items taken from Kim Philbys house....
They have a real Cavaliers felt hat from the civil war, along with many full uniforms from throughout British military history. Every sword, gun and grenage... It's endless.
Plan to spend a nice long time looking around. The parking is minimal, so be prepared to walk in if required. There are drink and snack machines inside, but no cafe. The staff are fantastic and very happy to answer questions.

Very large collection of interesting items. The information on the items is abundant and factual. Weapons from roman times until Falkland and beyond. Displays of ammunition and fuses... Uniforms. And more interesting stuff like diaries, maps and so on.

Little jewel of a museum in Maldon, Essex. Situated on 3 floors, ground is mainly medieval, 1st has an SOE, Secret Service, and Cold War collection plus some other items, and the top floor has many uniforms and arms from Napoleonic through to the 1980s. No cafe but has a drinks machine, loos on each floor. Definitely worth a visit if you are interested in military history and uniforms.

A great local museum to me which I'm so glad that I checked out! I found it more interesting than the imperial war museum! 👀 It's stacked with historical artifacts from all ages! Get yourself down there I'm 100% going again 👌🏻

Wasn't expecting what we encountered.
Arrived and was greeted by a number of volunteers .
Very knowledgeable and happy to converse and share knowledge with the family.
Lots of things to see and also a number of uniforms to try on.
They had time to spend with the children and happy to answer any questions.
Reasonably priced .
On the top floor there is a cafe area where you can sit down and use the vending machine for a drink.
They do prefer payment by card due to the loss of local banking but happy to take cash.
Family ticket £30.
We spent around 2 hours in the museum although you could probably spend the entire day and still not read everything.

Visited whilst on holiday in the local area. Friendly welcome, so much to see and even an area for the kids (and big kids!) to try on uniform from some of the services. Everything was presented well and clean. My son loves history and James Bond so particularly liked looking at the vast amount of guns on display! Great way to spend a couple of hours with free parking too

I don't give five stars on a review lightly. I don't honestly believe this museum could be any better. It has such a diverse and comprehensive collection of weapons, uniforms and equipment it is difficult to take in. Wonderful and detailed knowledge about conflicts, operations and the detailed workings of weapons and ordinance. I will definitely be revisiting.

We were welcomed by James at the entrance who had explained everything to us. As i was super nervous he reassured us its nothing too scary! He was extremely professional and he played his character so well. As for the experience. It was something unforgettable. As i am a huge fan of stranger things it was almost surreal to experience what they do in the series! All in all the experience was amazing id do it again ina heartbeat and James just made it 10 more unforgettable.

A great experience. It is not scary or claustrophobic. You get an hour to escape from various rooms. You need to be observant and try not to over think the clues. Very clean, free lockers too put you valuables, free parking outside or in Sainsbury's car park opposite (2 hours free parking) Everything is explained to you, and you also watch a short video. First time coming to this one as I have visited their Romford branch.
Came here with my boyfriend for my birthday and was not disappointed!
We chose the Ancient Relics room and was greeted by a lovely woman - sorry if this is wrong but I'm sure she said her name is Emma?
She showed us the trailer for our room and immediately came out in character. She explained everything we needed to do/use.
This was a totally different concept to what I was used too - going into 4/5 different rooms but it was very cool to have different themed rooms.
Emma(?) prompted us on a few occasions and had some quirky comments throughout which was great. The acting was spot on.
We had such a great laugh and can't thank her enough for making it fun and it started my birthday day off just right!
Thank again and can't wait to come back!!

My son and his friend really enjoyed escape room in Hornchurch. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hornchurch escape room is much better compared to the one in Romford as it has a waiting area and car park. When we arrived there were no spaces but a member of staff very kindly moved her car to let us park which was very helpful. Would definitely go back there !!!

Lively venue for community theater & musical performances, with a cafe & full bar.
What an amazing theatre! I loved Adrian Mole in the West End, so I was curious about how they would have adapted it. I was not disappointed and utterly loved it. Definitely coming for other musicals that are touring.

Marvellous theatre with a warm and welcoming atmosphere, but be sure to arrive early if you want a parking spot in the nearby car park. It fills up fairly quickly.
We watched Sleeping Beauty and sat in the middle of row J which we felt gave us a great view. The show was led by a talented cast which was hilarious at times and enjoyed by both adults and kids in our group. Highly recommend.

A very nice venue to see a show. The seating is comfortable with good views all round and plenty of leg room. There's a little shop selling drinks and snacks in the foyer. Ideally situated in Hornchurch, close to restaurants and bars ideal for pre-show drinks and dinner. My only observation is that the ladies toilets could be better signed as we ended up using the disabled toilet as we couldn't find them. We found out after they were downstairs but there was no sign pointing that way.

Great show and no bad views in this theatre.
Would've been 5⭐️ if only we could've got an interval drink!
Small bar and very long queue. We had to go thirsty until show was over...bar doesn't appear fit for purpose.
But a good night was had otherwise.

The Glenn Miller Orchestra were brilliant yet again, they played some standard Glenn Miller arrangements but also played other arrangements not associated with Glenn Miller. The singers were great too. The theatre staff were very polite and helpful. I cannot give five stars as the bar prices are a rip off. £10 for a small glass of house white wine and a can of G&T. Don't drink there.

The venue is nice with a good view of the stage from all seats. The only downfall was the heat in the theatre. I went to see an Arsenal legends show and it was packed but everyone was sitting there melting because it was so hot in there. No air con?

Lovely venue with a real community feel - great to see workshops for children happening! The theatre itself is really comfortable and great views of the stage. The production was really good, despite a few sound issues. The cafe and bar are a great facility but are really let down by lack of available seats and tables, very slow staff and a lack of available products, at least on the day I visited

39 Steps is one of the best shows we have been to, anywhere! Fantastic acting from 4 actors who made this show a must-see. Excellent storytelling, props, animation, etc....we cannot fault it. Enjoyed every minute and highly recommend to anyone who enjoys humour and being entertained.
The scripts sticks extremely close to the original 1935 film and the way they convey the fast moving train and the escape across the moors is thrilling.
Well done and congrats to the actors....superb talent showcased in 1.5hrs!

Love this theatre. Doesn’t matter where you sit there is a good view. Seats comfortable and disabled spots available with carer seats. Arrived early and had some food/drinks from the cafe area. Great venue. Roomy seats and you can see well from any seat. Nice to have the café for light refreshments. I wish theatre could do a deal with council to make parking a bit cheaper for those attending performances. I paid £7 for 4 hours by app. However, they do have slightly cheaper seat pricing for over 60s at certain performances which is most welcome.

Markshall Estate is a picturesque tourist attraction that features landscaped gardens with various themes, an arboretum, and lakes. Visitors can enjoy leisurely walks through the woods, spot peacocks and animal tracks, admire new plants and trees. The estate is especially beautiful during autumn when the colours are vibrant, and there's a nip in the air. To top it off, visitors can indulge in a delicious cream tea at the charming cafe barn with reasonable prices.
Absolutely gorgeous place. The weather was especially lovely, which gave us nice dry ground to walk around on but there are plenty of paths, too. There's some amazing tree specimens, from ancient oaks to very quirky trees from the Southern hemisphere. Strongly recommended.

Had a great visit to Markshall Estate. Lovely walks and a well set out walled garden. Had a prebooked afternoon tea for two. Which was beautifully presented and ample, mixture of sweet and savoury. All the staff, both in the restaurant and in the entrance, were exceptional. Would thoroughly recommend a visit and certainly encourage you to have an afternoon tea. Will visit again when in the area.

Great place! Another visit and again something new. We love feeding the fish in the pond, always fascinated with how big they are. We saw ducklings - so, so cute. Lovely place to take a deep breath and slow down.

Absolutely beautiful, and well worth the £8 adult entry fee. Stunning space with a variety of settings (woodland, a walled garden and more), as well as flowing water with a range of different types of bridges to cross.
Plenty to keep kids entertained: feeding the ducks and geese, seeing the peacocks, wandering through the woodland, playing games like giant Jenga and hoopla, wooden animal carvings to see...there's an adventure around every corner!
Good to see a sensibly priced cafe on site too: a kids' lunch bag (half a sandwich, crisps, fruit, a full sized tube of Smarties, a Babybel and a carton of drink, plus a free toy), two cheese scones, a pot of tea and a coffee came to around £14 in total.

We had a lovely day on Markshall Estate - it was a nice sunny day which was an added bonus for us. Arrived around 10am and bought tickets at the gate. They are £8 per adult. There were no queues so we just walked right in. Grounds were well kept, and the sculpture trail was a nice addition for this summer. There were a lot of nice picnic spots / benches dotted around the estate. We found Volunteers at different points on our walk, they were all nice friendly amd happy to have a chat. We had lunch at the on site cafe, they had a wide range of hot and cold food with fairly decent prices. Cakes looked amazing.
Would definitely recommend a visit.

Lovely gardens, dogs are banned from the walled gardens though. Not sure why. Staff in the shop were quite abrupt, as we didn't realise we had to pay to use a public footpath! Never used too. So we paid the money as they were shouting across the whole shop, to be honest it was out of embarrassment I paid! However it was a lovely walk just not sure it was £12 of lovely walk.

Fabulous day out with my friend and our dogs. There is outside tables for eating at and waterbowls available for the dogs. All dog have to be on a leads for which I am very grateful. The baked potatoes for lunch were delicious well filled with lots side salad and coleslaw. Very pleasant and helpful staff throughout our visit.

A visit to Marks Hall Estate is a refreshing experience for nature lovers. The gardens are meticulously maintained, and the woodlands provide a tranquil backdrop for a leisurely walk. Don't miss the opportunity to feed the fish in the pond. I highly recommend grabbing some fish food from the on-site shop - it adds a delightful touch to the visit.
Overall, it's a great way to spend a day and reconnect with nature.
Lots of parking onsite, there is a cafe selling food, cakes, snacks and drinks. Once you are on the garden side there is a little playground for children with benches around if you wanted to stop for a picnic.
There are also picnic benches by the cafe at the entrance. There is a small onsite shop too where you buy your entrance tickets. There are a few toys and cuddly animals and an outdoor plant centre selling plants.
You can pick up a map of walking routes and rough times from the shop and there is normally an activity sheet for children with things to tick off and look out for on their walk.

Came here for the first time on Sunday and little did we know it was your anniversary! Had a lovely mooch amongst the leaves, spotting peacocks, animal tracks, new plants and best of all, my new favourite tree. Autumn is the best time to go for the colours, nip in the air and foot crunch! Had a warming and tasty cream tea in the pretty café barn to top it off, prices were very reasonable, although the service was a little complicated and slow(I think some staff were new) but we got there in the end.
Charlotte Glass — Google review
Nice re visit but decided to take the path that said woodland walks just past the entrance which only leads to a perimeter road around the estate and closed and locked entrances to get back into the gardens and arboretum. Also there are no toilets bar those at the entrance and for such a big estate this is not good enough really.

Markshall Estate is a stunning place to visit at any time of year. If you are an RHS member, you can take a guest in for free Tuesday to Sunday, throughout May, June, September or January.
Winter highlights are the large drifts of snowdrops at the far end of the estate. The fish in the lake still fascinate and the arboretum is an incredible map of world trees.
There is a brief history of the estate in the visitor centre which shows how the estate has been a part of the local community for many years in different guises.
Most parts are easily navigated why wheelchair or pushchair. Teas, coffees and light lunches are served in the orchard café and the remodelled entrance is welcoming. There are options to picnic, benches dotted around and, in the spring and summer, the walled garden is a beautifully fragrant and relaxing place to wander.
You can now take your dog inside the estate which makes it even more family friendly.

We enjoyed a festive afternoon tea with our daughter and her boyfriend, then a walk around the gardens/estate. The weather wasn't that kind, and the walled garden was closed for winter maintenance until April 23, but it was still a glorious walk with several different areas to explore. I'm looking forward to seeing what it looks like in spring summer and autumn. The food was also very good, plentiful and tasty.
Coral Romford Greyhound Stadium is a popular dog racing venue that has won awards for its quality. With a capacity of over 4,300 people, the stadium offers various amenities including five bars and three glass-fronted restaurants with views of the track. It's a good place to go for a day's entertainment, the food was okay and staff were friendly. It was rather cold due to ab overzealous use of air conditioning...something we are seeing more of in more places because staff get warm when they work, but don't take into account seated diners...brrrr.

Overall the venue was clean, the staff friendly and everything else you would expect from a night at the dogs.
Only issue is the parking, there is a car park next to the stand which gets full quick. There is a small car park at the bottom of the driveway entrance to the stadium and other than that it’s on street parking around the stadium.

Fantastic evening with the family. The stadium was particularly busy however that didn't detract from what was a very enjoyable night. Parking is limited so get there early and the queue for food, drinks and the tote take time so be prepared.
The iconic Tower Bridge, built in 1894, spans the River Thames and is a major tourist attraction in London. It's currently one of the London Bridge box girder style bridges, which was built from concrete and steel. The current bridge won't fall down any time soon!
It felt very safe, was beautiful history getting to see it. If you want to go here tell everyone you want to go to or get directions for the "tower bridge' or the drivers take you to a flat bridge that is also called the London bridge. Yep it happened to me so be more knowledgeable than I was.
Also a great little walk between the flat London bridge and the river with restaurants and coffee places. Very romantic little stroll ...London was amazing!!!

Firstly, although the staff were great at sorting me out when I didn't have a paper ticket and just one on my phone, it is not good that paper tickets are needed (and they printed mine out). In today's age and ecological crisis, paper should not be needed. They need to sort that.
There is no wheelchair access that I could see. Lots of stairs both up and down so be aware! There's also not a huge amount to see in the towers themselves. Considering this is not a free attraction, I would expect more.
Having said that, DO go to the engine rooms. That was excellent and informative. Well worth the trip.
Overall, just about worth it for the price. Don't make it your big trip of the day though. It's fun but short.

“Visiting Tower Bridge in London was an absolute delight! From the moment I set foot on this iconic landmark, I was captivated by its grandeur and historical significance. The majestic structure, with its towering towers and intricate Victorian architecture, truly exemplifies the architectural marvels of the past.
As I strolled along the high-level walkways, I was treated to breathtaking panoramic views of the River Thames and the cityscape beyond. The glass floors added an exhilarating touch, allowing me to marvel at the bustling traffic passing below my feet. It was an experience that made me feel both connected to the city’s vibrant energy and humbled by its rich history.
Inside the bridge’s exhibition, I was immersed in its fascinating story through interactive displays and informative exhibits. Learning about the construction and engineering feats behind Tower Bridge deepened my appreciation for this iconic landmark. The highlight, of course, was witnessing the bridge open up to let a passing ship through—an awe-inspiring moment that reminded me of its vital role in facilitating maritime trade.
The staff at Tower Bridge were friendly and knowledgeable, always ready to answer questions and provide insights into its heritage. Their passion for the bridge’s legacy was evident, making the visit even more enjoyable.
Overall, my visit to Tower Bridge was an unforgettable experience. It’s a must-see attraction for anyone visiting London, offering a perfect blend of history, architecture, and breathtaking views. Whether you’re a history enthusiast, an architecture lover, or simply seeking a memorable experience, Tower Bridge will undoubtedly leave a lasting impression.”

It's a must visit historic place in the centre of London. Very old and Iconic place. The beauty of the bridge can be seen from long distance. I feel everyone should get a ticket and must see the engine room along with the history of the tower from day one. There is a lot of information provided at the top of the bridge. When you walk on the glass way you will definitely get goosebumps. The place is always crowded so when you visit please make sure you have done the advance tickets booking as on arrival the queue will be quite long and you will end up waiting in line for an hour or more. If you want to take more pics and make reels better come early in the morning so it will be very less crowded. When you go inside the tower at multiple places washrooms are available. In short I must visit the place.

Undoubtedly a main photo spot in London, Tower Bridge stands as one of the city's most iconic landmarks, attracting visitors from across the globe. Its majestic structure, flanked by the iconic towers, creates an unforgettable backdrop for photographs. As one of the biggest attractions in London and a globally recognized symbol, it offers countless picture-perfect spots, whether capturing its silhouette against the skyline, witnessing its mesmerizing evening illumination, or simply savoring the grandeur of this architectural gem. With its remarkable history, striking design, and ample photo opportunities, Tower Bridge rightfully stands among the world's most celebrated and photographed attractions

Tower Bridge, standing just beyond the Tower of London, is more than just a bridge; it’s a journey through London’s heart. A short stroll across this iconic structure offers breathtaking views (yes, in a good way; enter Seinfeld reference) and a sense of history.
Crossing over the Thames, you’ll find yourself on a scenic walkway, a perfect vantage point for soaking in panoramic sights. From here, the Tower of London looms impressively, while the London Bridge and the sprawling cityscape stretch out beyond.
It’s a spot where the beauty of London is seen and felt. Tower Bridge is a inexpensive gateway to some of the most picturesque views.

No visit to London can ever be complete without a visit to the Tower Bridge. Undoubtedly one of London's most famous monuments and with good reason. First of the bridge is massive and filled with details. Walking across it feels truly magical. Gazing upwards toward the towers is almost as enchanting as the view you have from up here. A must in London if ever there was one.

It was a great experience to enter the Tower Bridge towers, go up and down the stairs and especially walk the two walkways above street & river level. The glass floors were really cool. They don't extend across all the way but only in the middle of both walks, and for people who don't like it there is a wooden walkway to the side so this is suitable even for the less daring. You get a great panorama from up there. The engine rooms also come with the ticket & you get to see how the bridge was operated in steam engine time.

The Tower Bridge. Now while there’s no cost to cross the bridge I would highly recommend purchasing tickets to go across up top. It’s well worth the steps. If you need to take a lift one is available but seeing the staircases, and all the factual, historical information they give you on the way up makes it all the more worth it.
We bought tickets for 13.30 and arrived a bit early, and the staff didn’t mind us getting in the queue. It was a bit long but moved very quickly, again you could take the lift or the stairs we chose the stairs (we were told there’s somewhere around 260 of them). As you walk up the stairs there are posts and placards that tell you all sorts of facts regarding the material that went into the bridge and other fascinating details. The wood creaking stairs only adds to the experience. Once at the top there’s a spot to rest even before going to the upper bridges.
You may think the entire upper bridge is “glass bottom” it isn’t, but each side does have a small section where if not to crowded you can even lie down and take a photo. You’ll walk all the way across one, down the other and turn around where then you can decide you next move.
Once down the stairs they send you off to the Engine Room which is also included and the gift shop. This alone has been such a worth while part of our visit, I would highly recommend it.

This review is for the paid attraction to go to the top:
Great view on one side. Tickets are much cheaper compared to other attractions, but that's not an excuse to throw in so many people into each batch. If the top was a bit less crowded, it would've been great.

Like many people I was also confused that this the London Bridge BUT when I visited I came to know that this is Tower Bridge. A marvel, gorgeous structure over the river Thames. The view is only good if you see it from a far distance. If the weather is good, you can walk across the bridge. There is a ticket to go up and if you are really interested to more about this deeply.

Another must visit in London. The most beautiful bridge in London I would say. Lovely pics from every angle.
Very busy place however you can do like we did and go very early to get pictures without hundreds of people behind us.
We had blue sky which made our visit a bit better despite the cold weather.
Be careful of people not following the signs which tell you which way to walk, a shame because it would make the crossing smoother.

Visited the iconic London Tower Bridge and was utterly captivated by its timeless elegance. The intricate architecture tells a story of history and craftsmanship that leaves you in awe. Whether you walk across during the day, with the city bustling around you, or experience the magical lights at night, every moment is a feast for the senses.
The bridge not only offers spectacular panoramic views of London but also serves as a testament to the city's rich heritage. It's a photographer's paradise—every angle is postcard-worthy.
Surrounded by charming cafes and the serene flow of the river, the atmosphere is simply enchanting. London Tower Bridge isn't just a structure; it's a journey through time and a must-visit for anyone seeking a touch of magic in the heart of the city.

Great experience overall. You can wait to buy tickets to go up into the tower and view the engine rooms. I thought it was a fun event and fairly cheap compared to other sites around the city (£30 for a family of three). We waited 40 min to get tickets. They also have pre-purchase tickets or time reservation to hold your spot in line at a specific time for you to jump the line.

Fabulous views and reasonably priced. The mirror above the glass floor was a newer addition I hadn't seen before. Although taking the lift would have been easier we enjoyed the climbing the steps up reading facts along the way, it made the top a treat. Photos from the top came out really well 👍Small children enjoyed the engine and pump room, it is very well restored.

The beautiful tower bridge. (Tourists often confuse this to be the London bridge.)
Well this is a bridge too, and check out the pictures to see how amazing it looks when a big ship passes and the bridge is open. This is one of a kind bridge. To know more about its construction do visit inside the tower bridge. It’s amazing to see vehicles crossing under you.
Great tourist spot , walk the bridge to see it in detail. It’s a must do in London!

It’s a very nice touristic place.. there are restaurants near by where you can also enjoy the view.. we took a walk on the bridge. If you want to walk on the top where there see through glass there is a payment of either 13 or 20 pounds but the tower itself is closed you can just walk along the corridor from one side to the other. Walking down though is free and it’s a must see when you visit London

This historic gem located in the heart of London is an absolute must-see. It's an iconic testament to the city's rich history, standing proudly as a symbol of its heritage.
I highly recommend getting a ticket that includes a visit to the engine room and a journey through the tower's captivating history from its inception. The wealth of information provided at the top of the bridge offers a deep dive into its past, enriching your experience.
Walking on the glass pathway is an unforgettable thrill, sending shivers down your spine as you take in the breathtaking views. It's important to note that this place is always bustling with visitors. To make the most of your visit, I strongly advise booking your tickets in advance. Arriving without pre-booked tickets might result in lengthy queues, which could mean waiting for an hour or even longer.
For those seeking the perfect photo opportunities or aiming to capture stunning reels, consider arriving early in the morning when the crowds are thinner. Additionally, you'll find conveniently located washrooms at various spots within the tower, ensuring a comfortable visit.

One of the most iconic, if not THE iconic bridges in the world. It’s painted and colorful and easily walkable. Nice wide sidewalks for pedestrians and lots of traffic of course. Stairs at each end. Views of the Tower of London and the River Thames and other very significant buildings of London.
The bridge is lit up at night and is even more glorious.

To see this bridge in person still leaves one in amazement. A very iconic part of London, indeed. We went there on a weekend and the area was understandably packed. At around 11am, the queue for the walk above was already long. We did not opt to go up for personal reasons, but I bet the views above are breathtaking, could be literally.

It’s one of the most iconic bridges in London and it’s definitely worth a visit. You can cross the bridge for free on the ground level (where the cars are driving). But it’s also possible to go to the top of the bridge if you are willing to pay for it. You can enjoy a great view to either side of the bridge. It’s nice to cross the river as a pedestrian but if you find a bus that crosses there it’ll be just as good.

A magnificent example of Victorian Gothic architecture! This iconic drawbridge leaves every visitor awe-struck with its grandeur and technical genius. The panoramic view from the walkway reveals splendid cityscapes. An intriguing piece of history lies within the engine rooms, taking you back to the industrial revolution era. A perfect blend of beauty, history, and engineering marvel. The bustling neighborhood adds charm to the overall experience.
The Tower of London is a famous landmark in London that houses Crown Jewels and iconic Beefeaters. It is home to centuries of bloody history, including scenes of prisoners being hanged, drawn and quartered.
Certainly a must see if you are traveling to London! The history of the Tower is hard to comprehend when you consider that the place is older than the United States. Lots of history to take in from the jail cells, torture machines, to the tower, the ravens, and all of the armament, weapons and cannons to see. The Tower also has the Crown Jewels on display. I would plan to arrive early if you do not wish to stand in line for extended periods to see the Crown Jewels. They are worth seeing though…especially if you want to see diamonds, emeralds and sapphires the size of golf balls. Unfortunately, photos of the jewels are not allowed or I would post some.
As others have mentioned, there are a lot of stairs, narrow spiraling staircases and some narrow corridors to walk through. That said, it was certainly one of the many highlights on our London trip. I’ve seen people give estimates of time for this visit. I would say 3-4 hours is probably a good estimate (not including a long waiting time in line for jewels). We read some of the signage on displays and then just passed by others. If you are the type who reads it all, maybe longer.

Great day out, lots of history and beautiful views of the castle and Tower Bridge and a nice cafe inside. You can follow a guided tour or purchase an audio guide, though neither is particularly needed as there is plenty of information displayed in all parts of the castle. Not really suitable for buggies or wheelchairs as there is lots of stair climbing involved.

Admission was a little steep but totally worth it. We paid under £30 per person, but it varies by date and what website you purchase through. We bought tickets in person and not in advance.
As soon as we walked in there was a beefeater starting a complimentary tour. He was very funny and informative, and explain the history of the castle and the surrounding areas with a lot of detail given to the history of executions here.
There is also an audio tour available at an additional cost.
We left his tour to go explore by ourselves and we saw the king's Chambers which were fascinating and included a marker in the chapel where King Henry VI was assassinated. Awesome. There were active guards marching around who still live inside the castle.
Actors were doing a play in the courtyard by the White Tower. There were plenty of bathrooms and a couple of cool gift shops.
You could easily spend three or more hours here.
As with most attractions in the city, parking could be a problem but we did not have a car.

It was a wonderful experience and a great place to visit. The history of the place is amazing. It is advisable to take the guided tour as the guide really knows his stuff and gives you some great insights into the history of the place and also gives good advice on what to visit next as the place is a really big place. You really need at least 4 to 5 hours to see the place properly and to learn about the history of the place and to take some lovely pictures. Well worth a visit.

A great place to come and and explore some of the history of London. Came here on a flying visit so didn't get a lot of time for a detailed visit although I would highly recommend. There's lots of interesting facts as you work your way around the map given to you as well you order yours tickets at the office. The crown jewels is another area definitely worth a visit although no photos are allowed to be taken here. Will definitely come back again for a more detailed visit.

Absolutely worth a visit make sure you’ve got the legs for it there’s a lot of walking to do. We did the 45 minute tour guide well worth it. I came for my second visit in a little under 50 years! I was in awe of the architecture of the building and at how deceivingly big it was inside. I came along with a local community group and we took a tour with Wayne, a resident Beefeater. He was incredibly knowledgeable and had a great sense of humour! After eating our packed lunch, we decided to take a look at the crown jewels. The queue was quite long but it moved pretty fast. As we were waiting, we were greeted with the amazing views around the tower grounds. It was a tad cold and windy but I'm sure it's beautiful in the summer.
Going in to see the crown jewels, I was a little disappointed at the way it was displayed. It was quite dark and sparse inside. The crowns themselves were amazing, such beautiful jewels.
I would have liked to take a bit more of a trip around the other areas but on a quieter day. That's the only thing I don't enjoy, too many people around.

This is a beautiful site to see. This is where the Crown Jewels are held and was a big fortress!! I mostly came here just to see the Crown Jewels, even though some of them were out due to the Coronation of Charles III, but this place was an amazing place to visit. But this use to be, and still is, a military fortress. A little fun fact, during WWI, the Tower of London did military training, even though it was still open to the public visiting the place. I just find that extremely interesting.
The Tower of London is one staple of London history, British history, and Royal history. The The Royal Family has their Crowned Jewels here where you can see them on display. Dating back to 1066, but made famous by William I (William the Conqueror) when he moved here in 1078. Kings William I (William the Conqueror), King Henry III, and King Richard I were living here at one point all adding to the historical site. The Tower of London has been a fortress for the majority of its time, but I found interesting is that it was used as a prison until WWII, with soldiers training here with the prisoners on a different side of the site. You can go see the Crowned Jewels here, which were amazing to see (there's no photography while seeing the Crowned Jewels). I truly enjoy walking the grounds here and seeing some of the Crowned Jewels the British Royal Family has to offer.

Amazing tourist attraction of this wonderful place,it is one of the most visited places nowadays since the Royal Jewels are guarded here. The Royal jewels are amazingly displayed, and the history of them is well explained all along the place. Big queue for the Crown Jewels once you got inside the Tower, but well worth the wait. I suggest everything try to come early in the morning around the 8:30 slot. It will not be crowded at that time. There are lots of things to see inside the tower. The Cafe inside is a great place to take relief. The exit is beside the Thames with awesome views of Tower Bridge.
We thought it will take 2-3 hours but we spend almost 5 hrs. The fortress is maintained properly. The audio guide helps you a lot when you are in. The Ammunition department is amazing.
I will definitely come back to visit them again whenever possible.

Amazing place to visit! We had recently come from Ireland and to hear the different pieces of British and Irish history intertwine was really neat! I highly recommend paying the extra bit for the audio tour once you get inside. It helps give you a little bit extra that you can’t get from just reading all the signs. I also recommend getting there before noon so you have enough time to see everything!

It is a very cool experience. You get to step back in time, seeing things from a long time ago. There is a lot of history and information to read and take in, so many cool things.
I would recommend buying tickets in advance for 9am. I was dropped off at about 8:05 and was able to get some good pictures of the exterior of the Tower of London and the Tower Bridge. There are a few coffee shops around, so you can grab some coffee before the line opens. I got in line at about 8:30 and was towards the front.
I would recommend going to the Crown Jewels first as you will have a bit of space before the crowds decend on the attraction and there is a long wait. Even if you have a voucher for a guide book, I would get it after.
If you have a voucher for a guide book, the place is on the right hand side of the building, the audio guides are on the left. So, if there is a huge line on the left, don't worry, you can slip in and get the book. The books are in several languages, and there is a option for the kids book.

Sadly I didn't get to go into the tower it self due to time problems and the ever occurring problem of me being broke. But the outside was more then worth my while. The whole castle is massive. Really enjoyed visiting the Tower of London. I visited with my daughters year as a school trip, so unfortunately our look around was a lot more rushed than I would have liked, but loved what I saw.
Seeing the armor for the kings & horses, the weaponry & where torturing happened was great. Walking around the site where Anne Boleyn, Catherine Howard, Jane Boleyn, Lady Jane Grey & others were executed & seeing the Traitors Gate where people would have come into the grounds & the towers where they would have been kept was brilliant. Seeing the Crown Jewels was amazing. They were so beautiful. The craftsmanship of the clothing, armour, jewelry, flags & tapestries was breathtaking. Seeing the guards on patrol was awesome & there are lots of people around who you can talk to and ask about the Tower to get more of a historical experience. There's an interactive room where you can get involved with things in there which was great and the chapel was beautiful.
There are some steep stairs and spiral staircases in places which some might find difficult, but all-in-all I really had a great time. Seeing as our visit was hugely restricted due to it being a school trip, I'd love to give back with my family for a whole day.

Wow, the Tower of London was even more incredible than I imagined! From the moment I walked through the gates, I felt transported back in time. The Yeoman Warders were fantastic storytellers, bringing the castle's rich history to life with humor and enthusiasm.
The Crown Jewels were, of course, a highlight – it's hard to believe they're real! But I also loved exploring the White Tower, wandering the medieval walls, and even spotting a few ravens (those cheeky birds!).
Whether you're a history buff or just looking for a unique London experience, the Tower of London is a must-see. Just be prepared to be amazed!
Tips for your visit:
* Get your tickets online beforehand to skip the queues, especially during peak season.
* Take advantage of the free Yeoman Warder tours – they're the best way to learn about the castle's secrets.
* Allow plenty of time to explore – there's so much to see and do.
* Wear comfortable shoes – you'll be doing a lot of walking.
I hope this helps! Have a fantastic time at the Tower of London!
Melford Hall, a National Trust property, was once owned by the family of Beatrix Potter and features a tearoom and extensive gardens. While it may not be completely Tudor due to fires and modernizations in Georgian times and the 1950s, it still offers beautiful rooms to explore, including those with incorrect windows and out-of-scale dimensions. Visitors can enjoy cake on the lawn and admire the lovely garden. Knowledgeable volunteers offer personal guided tours throughout every room.
Not as Tudor as it might be. Fires, modernization (in Georgian times and in the 1950s) mean that the windows are wrong and some of the rooms are out of scale for Tudor times. But it is still a lovely place to eat cake on the lawn and tread the stairs and the rooms. Nice garden too. At the end of the day I was fortunate to be given a lovely personal guided tour through every room by different volunteers who obviously enjoyed imparting their knowledge and knew it well. A wonderful experience and a credit to all the staff. The lemon, lime and orange cake was a taste from heaven.

Melford Hall is a lovely estate. It’s not strictly a Tudor building as it’s had centuries of redevelopment and restoration work caused by changes in fashion and also a fire.
Nevertheless, it’s a great location to peruse the gardens and historic property. The lawn adjacent to property is a lovely location to spend time with family with its various games, such as croquet, placed there by the National Trust for us to play with.
The volunteers are friendly and very informative, and one gave us a guided tour around the grounds whilst talking about Melford Hall’s links to monastic history.
There’s a small cafeteria in the property to get food and drink.
Melford Hall is a wonderful day to out when visiting the local area.

My wife and I decided to visit Melford Hall, as, to our shame, we only live down the road and have never visited. It was a Friday afternoon and the car park was already getting busy. I imagine at peak times, it would be difficult to get parked. The tour guide volunteers are very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. It is well worth a visit, as it has an interesting story.

This was a lovely place to visit. I have seen larger houses, and grander houses, but this one has amazing features to enjoy, including a fantastic staircase, which one of the guides encourages people to pose on and feel like a star!
The guides in the rooms, and the guide who delivered the introductory talk, were all such friendly people who happily shared their knowledge.
The tea rooms were in different rooms (or outside) and felt quite relaxing. The grounds included croquet and a summer folly, which you should try and see for the view from the steps and the quirky appearance.
Parking is free. Be aware the house seems to open at midday, although you can go for a walk before. For me, it was the guides who made the £10 admission fee worth the money.

We also received the most amazing care, as my husband is recovering from spine surgery, he is not as mobile, we were made to feel that nothing was too much trouble, allowing us to park right outside the Hall & giving him a verbal tour of the upstairs as he couldn't manage the stairs.

An interesting National Trust country house with knowledgeable guides in most rooms. We spent a couple of hours here and enjoyed it. Before doing the tour we had a light lunch in the cafe, the food was good and the staff attentive. The only negative was that there appeared to be only two public loos in the whole place.

A lovely day out. The house is really interesting and still feels like a grand family home, the grounds are gorgeous and the food was lovely. All the staff were very friendly and helpful x

Opened at 12 ,lots of people arrived then. Short walk to house. Tea room is small so had to queue but not long. Lovely houses as are the grounds. There is also a walk about a mile you can walk your dog after ,cows in enclosed section so on lead best

Really interesting history at this National Trust site. Plenty to see in the hall.
It had just opened when we arrived so a bit of a queue for the toilets 🚻
Cafe had a great range. I can recommend the cornish pasty 😋
Garden is small but cool. Plenty of outdoor seating. I loved the "dessert tower" and tree lined corridor.
Highly recommended

Really beautiful Hall, the guides are lovely lady’s and gents with lots of knowledge about the hall and extremely friendly to us all!
Stroll around the outside gardens, lovely history with Beatrix Potter and her stories as well

Melford Hall is rather fine, and offers an evidential tour through the centuries, from Reformation to the almost-present. The gardens are limited but fine, with some beautifully planted borders. As with almost every National Trust property, the excellent staff and volunteers range from the incredibly informed to the affably devoted. The cool 50s-decor café was a nice surprise, and the idea of hanging large paintings of old, long deceased antecedents in what were meant to be young ladies' bedrooms was preposterously amusing. Worth the admission!

This isn’t a huge National Trust property, but still very enjoyable. They appear to have a good army of volunteers in the house and gardens, and we were given a comprehensive talk on the history of the property before we toured round. Several of the rooms had volunteers who were only too happy to tell you about the room. One of the former owners (C19th?) was a keen collector of stained glass and there are some interesting windows made of complete pieces and a number of broken scraps, which have quite a modern feel.
The gardens are not big, but there is a nice herbaceous border against a wall and you can just about see the crinkle-crankle wall on the south side.

Really enjoyed the visit. Thought only small part of the house is open for public so it was nice surprise to find tgat large part of the first floor is available for viewing. House has light and bright atmosphere. There were two talks available on the day I visited, one about the house in the main hall and one about the garden.

Kentwell Hall is a magnificent red brick stately home that puts on historical re-enactments and events. The property boasts of beautiful parkland, stunning gardens, and a working farm. Visitors can enjoy touring the mansion with its authentic period pieces or spend time admiring the equally impressive gardens. The Halloween event is particularly noteworthy for the time and effort invested in it. While there is a decent cafe available, the menu options are limited.
Absolutely wonderful. It takes about an hour to tour the entire mansion but is well worth it. Everything is true period pieces, not replicas, and the gardens are equally as impressive.

This is a lovely and beautiful place to visit. Although there have been many restorations through the years, which make it hard to really guess what’s original, you get a great sense of history and tradition. And also how it must have been to live in such a beautiful place back in the 1500’s.
What particularly stands out are the gardens. They are all that you come to expect from an English garden. And more. Green, lush and full of beautiful flowers and plants.
This place is nice to visit with the family. Definitely recommended!

A truly magical family home, lovingly and carefully thought out refurbishments, wonderful guide book, detailed signage, FABULOUS TOPIARY, fairyland grounds and wonderous gardens and home farm. Took two teenage sons and even they had a fantastic day. Loved the garden games, free to use, at the end near the gates. Topped off the day with a game of croquet and Pick up Sticks. Would highly recommend. Well done the family for doing such a wonderful job on the house!

Lovely privately owned house and garden just on the edge of Long Melford, also has a tea room, walled garden with ancient apple trees, nice walks round the grounds and some fabulous topiary hedges it even has a moat round the house so if someone from just stop oil is there and they fall in you can save them by taking your foot off their heads, that's if you wanted to 😳. Definitely visit.

Marvellous. Absolutely amazing. Real feel of a tudor building which is still used as a family home. Many fully furnished rooms open to the public in a house fully surrounded with a beautiful moat. There are formal gardens beyond. This is a most excellent historic home visit for all the family. Every room contains a description by the owner of the history of the room and the renovations the family has made. (Our country and history are reliant on such committed and caring people) Tea room does everything you might want but is IMHO a little pricey. There is the picnic area as an alternative. The house and gardens have limited opening hours so check first. Our best day out on a Suffolk holiday.

Beautiful tudor building which is being lovingly restored by its current custodians. It is so huge I seriously do not envy them the task. Different from a lit of stately homes or historic houses in that the family still use the whole building which is nice. Beautiful grounds too and a super friendly darling of a horse! This is a working farm roo so sheep and pigs are around to look at. So sweet seeing the little lambs.
Well worth a visit.

An epic day out for going back in time and appreciating our heritage. The Tudor reenactments are superb and the team live it so well. Never a dull moment here. Great grounds and lots to learn. Fully recommended.

Fabulous day out at the stunning Kentwell Hall on Easter Monday with my 12 yr old daughter. Really interesting looking around the house and talking to the Tudor actors about medieval life. Great time of year to visit with the lambs and beautiful daffodils. The gardens were lovely. Delicious cakes in the tearoom too. Definitely recommend, especially on event days like this as lots to see and do.

A beautiful, well maintained place! It looks great on a sunny day and the house is very grand. The tickets were so expensive! They close at 4pm, which is early. Instead of charging lots of money, perhaps you could stay open longer? They put in a lot of time and effort into the Halloween event. Was very impressed. There is a decent cafe, which is cheap and fast serving, but quite a limited menu. A brilliant day out!

This is a lovely place to visit. The grounds and the gardens are stunning and the house itself is so interesting. The owners' love and passion for the house shines through all the information that you see. The little information sheets in each room are very well judged to give you just enough detail to keep you interested and help you understand the significant points of what you're seeing.
And Kentwell has a lovely Cafe area enhanced by a visiting peacock!

Very educational and a very well worth place to visit. The staff were all in Tudor costume which made the experience even more enjoyable, you can visit different parts of the halls buildings to see first hand how the Tudors worked back in those days. It is NOT EH ot NT so you must pay to enter. The car park area is a pleasant place to have a picnic if not to busy. Be warned, in some rooms you may experience something??👻 But this is a very pleasant day out.

They have amazing reenactment events throughout the year and are always true to the period and interactive. We love coming here and will return again! I highly recommend a visit.

We have been coming here with our family for more than twenty five years and it never ceases to please. The recreation days are still as delightful as ever and all the 'Tudors' you encounter during the day, both in the house and grounds, remain in character and are polite and respectful. My grandchildren were enthralled by everything they saw and loved taking part in the processions and other activities. They are already asking to go back. So glad this beautiful place is as lovely as it ever was.

An absolutely amazing place and a real hidden gem. We loved that we could walk around without anyone watching over us in the moat house and the house, but being respectful to this being a family home. I have never taken so many photos and said OMG so many times in each room.
We only came across two members of staff, one in the ticket office and the other in the tea room and both ladies were very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be revisiting.

We love Kentwell Hall!
I have been coming here since I was a teenager and celebrating the May day festival. Yesterday I took my husband and 2 children. Its such a wonderful place to visit and experience how it may have been in the Tudor era. Its made even more special with the May day Celebration and crowning of the May Queen. We will be back next year, without a doubt. They also accept Blue Peter badges at a 20% discount which was brilliant.

Great family day out over Easter.
The Easter egg hunt was a great way to make sure the kids explored the grounds.
All reenactment actors were great and very interactive and told you how things were done.
The grounds are really fun to explore especially the small holding where they had 3 week old lambs.
Also the Cafe onsite is very good value considering there is nothing else around.

We had the most fabulous day out at kentwell for its Tudor Mayday celebrations. We loved meeting all the Tudors and the all the pageantry of the mayday parade and play. Really enjoyed seeing all the tudors food being prepared and seeing them at their crafts and instruments. Was such an incredible immersive experience. I thought the tickets were fantastic value for the whole day’s experience as probably about the same price as a national trust property entry with nothing else going on. I was also impressed by the cafes offer, nice quiche and salads and lovely ham from the farm on site as well as delicious cakes. We went with our 3.5 year old and 13 week old and managed to navigate okay with our small wheeled pram around the grounds. We will be back!

Fantastic day out with kids aged 6, 7 and 12 yo. Beautiful house full of interesting things. Great games to play on the lawn. Kids loved feeding the fish and playing on the maze. Garden absolutely stunning. Would love to return.
Natalie Lowdell — Google review
Surprisingly the house is very poor maintained, considering the pricy ticket fee (£20 pp). Comparing to other houses/gardens/ castles we have been to before, I would say this is not worth the price, however, cafe was okay, food was tasty, again very pricy for a sausage roll with salad/ quiche with salad (£10 pp)
To conclude, there’s better places to visit nearby! the other hall down the road was much better!

An amazing place to visit. I really enjoyed walking around the gardens and admiring the beautiful daffodils and fruit trees in bloom.
I also loved the way the 'Tudors' were so informative and managed to maintain the act of speaking as though in Medieval times.
I was particularly enthralled by the two alchemists making a small quantity of gunpowder and telling us how, and what, an alchemist would have studied in Tudor times.
Thanks too to the ladies who showed me how to attach a ruff and to the lady who was entrusted to read and scribe letters in the Middle Ages. Fascinating.
The house is incredibly interesting and serves as a perfect example of how landowners and their staff would have lived in the time of Henry VIII.
Seeing the lambs and sheep too, was a highlight - we even caught a glimpse of a hare speeding across the land, some pigs and a peacock too.
Wel
Kentwell hall is worth a visit. The cafe is reasonably priced with good food and desserts and the whole venue is great for children.

We were lucky to visit on a Tudor life weekend. Many volunteers dress in authentic costume and carry out the tasks that were essential to daily life. There are musicians, potters, spinners, weavers, metal workers, cooks, dairy, etc. , all working, but ready to tell you what they are doing and why.
Even if we had visited on an ordinary weekend, there would still have been plenty to see in the house, its working buildings and gardens.

One of London's most popular tourist attractions, the London Eye offers panoramic views of the city from its 443-foot wheel. The Eye is busiest during holiday periods, but can be visited at any time of year and provides an excellent opportunity to see the capital from above.
Fantastic staff and attraction. Very convenient location and easy access. This is a very busy area, but it is well signed and easy to navigate. There are many services on site and you can enjoy the surroundings before and after the ride. The ride itself is fantastic and offers wonderful views of London - especially if you are a picture taker. The pricing is reasonable and you can also bundle with other attractions. We did find this a bit confusing, until we were helped by a friendly staff member. You do have to watch times as they gave us a tight connection to the next attraction - no worries though as there was a wait time there. Well worth the time and cost

Another must do in London. Panoramic views from the sky. The booking and other arrangements can be done via the website and it's quite smooth overall. The views from up top are stunning! Thames river, London bridge, tower bridge and Many of the legendary buildings can be seen. The design of the eye itself is pretty cool :) I'd strongly recommend this :)

I had an absolutely fantastic experience on the London Eye during my husband's birthday weekend! We decided to purchase tickets in advance using discount vouchers we found online, which turned out to be a great idea.
Even though it was a busy day, our early arrival—30 minutes before our scheduled slot—ensured that we didn't face any waiting time. Staff was very friendly and cooperative. The entire family had an amazing time, and we got the chance to experience not just one, but two incredible performances, one was magic show and the other one was music show. The restroom was clean, though it's worth mentioning that there is a fee for using them. The weather was perfect, allowing us to spend a delightful 4 to 5 hours enjoying the stunning views and vibrant atmosphere. For those planning to visit with kids, I recommend bringing along some snacks and water to keep everyone energized. All in all, it was an unforgettable day.

The London Eye is an iconic modern marvel that offers a unique perspective of the city's skyline. Situated on the banks of the River Thames, this giant observation wheel is a must-visit attraction for anyone exploring London.
The experience of riding the London Eye is nothing short of breathtaking. As you ascend slowly in one of the spacious glass capsules, you're treated to panoramic views of London's most famous landmarks, including Big Ben, the Shard, and St. Paul's Cathedral. The slow rotation ensures you have ample time to take in the sights, and the bird's-eye view of the bustling city below is both mesmerizing and tranquil.
The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, providing interesting insights into the history and geography of London throughout the journey. Whether you visit during the day to enjoy the city bathed in sunlight or at night when it's illuminated by thousands of lights, the view is equally enchanting.
While the ticket prices may seem a bit steep, the London Eye delivers an unforgettable experience that's well worth the cost. It's an excellent way to gain a new perspective on London and create lasting memories. Whether you're a tourist or a local, a ride on the London Eye is an essential part of your London adventure.

It's London's must do tourist attraction. You can see for miles around and have a great view onto the Thames and houses of Parliament. It's always busy, so it always has a queue of tourists waiting to get on, but the queue is well managed and keeps moving all the time, as the eye doesn't actually stop turning, you are skillfully managed on and off the cabin as it moves slowly along the ground section. You can take bags on, which are checked by security, and take as many photos as you like. On a clear day, you can see as far as Scotland 😉.

Repeat visit after ~6 years. This time we bought advance tickets using some discount vouchers. Experience this time was much better as I think the overall crowd was smaller (not sure why). It was still plenty busy but the staff were quite good at guiding the people and sticking to the promised time slots which made the queue go quicker.
The ride itself was as wonderful as last time. Thankfully the little rain earlier had cleared off and it was pretty clear for the duration. Excellent views as expected.
Overall I think its a bit steeply priced (for repeat visits) but using discount vouchers made it reasonable. Definitely a must-do for first visit and in decent weather conditions!

Great tourist attraction. I'm pleased that pods are not overloaded with people. You have space to move about and take in the different 360-degree views of the capital. We've been lucky on the occasions we've ridden the eye and gad sunny and clear days. I think nighttime would also be an amazing experience.
The mechanism is slow and smooth. You hardly feel the motion as this rotates, and the inside was clean and smelt fresh.
It is surprising how high you feel when you reach the top, so if you struggle with heights, there's seating in the centre of the pod if needed.
This attraction is permanently busy, and rightly so. A great attraction to visit and experience in London.

Super cool experience. Got to see so much of London from this height!
Recommend going with a friend, especially if you have any fear of heights.
The line was long but moved fast. And there's even a chance to get a photo of you via green screen during the wait.
Highly recommend you get tickets prior. Just makes it easier.

A must do/see! London eye was such a cool experience! Book in advance and choose the flex pass for a few more pounds. We rode the London Eye at night and the view was amazing! I’m sure you can see more during the daytime , but the lit up London view was pretty magical! Heads up - you’re probably going to want to buy everything at the London Eye gift shop. But if you walk just across the way to the other gift shop (literally, right across) you will save some money and have more souvenir options.

This is one of the best attractions in London! We went at night and had a pleasant experience looking at the city lights. The ride itself was safe and slow moving. It was definitely elderly friendly. They don’t overcrowd people into each “pod”. It’s pricey, but worth every penny.

The London Eye is the Most amazing experience. It is accessible within walking distance of the Tube stations and the view is absolutely INCREDIBLE!
I have had the privilege of doing this outing on the London Eye a few times and each time is more amazing than the next.
Don't miss out on a few hours to enjoy. The tickets are available on line and make sure to book the fast track pass. Much quicker and easier than the queue.
Carolyn Botha — Google review
The view is nice, but the windows are not very clean and the reflection of the light limits the quality of the photos that can be taken. The tickets have an entry time, but the queue control is not the best and you could spend two hours in the line. If you want to queue less (20 minutes) you have to buy the ticket that costs 15 pounds more. The ride takes approximately 25 minutes.

It was an amazing experience looking the whole London city on the top of Eye 🎡 👀. You can see Big Ben, House of Parliament, Buckingham Palace, The Shard, Tower Bridge and many more.
The only thing that was concerning, waiting queue was too long on the weekend especially during this summer time. I was tired standing for an hour and affected my experience to fully enjoy. Also, the position of sun 🌞 during that time ⏲️ , just between afternoon and evening facing towards me and sun rays blocking the other side to see freely. This is why I would recommend a time of early morning and the time during sunset 🌇 is even better (of course not during long summer days because of early closing time).
In the end, I would love to see evening view hopefully during the next visit.

Just look at these photos; it's worth the money you pay to ride the wheel. It's breathtaking. My advice is to buy the ticket in advance and opt for fast pass. We were there last Christmas, and it took us less than 5 minutes to get on. It costs a bit more, but it's worth every euro you spend. It's essential to go on it if you're in London.

Leisure walk by the riverbank. A great place for photos taking. Along the river walk there are many make shift stalls that sells food, snacks, desserts and souvenirs. The day we went were cloudy hence many photos taken does not turn out to our expectations. Very crowded too hence photos taking are a bit challenging. London Eye, Big Ben and Tower Bridge are within walking from one another.

I can't describe how the view from the London eye appealed to me. Although it is quite an expensive experience, it is well worth it.

One of the best viewing decks in London. The total trip is around 45-60 mins. The most preferred time to visit is during sunset because you will get to see some amazing sunset views. The night view from a distance is just majestic. Book your tickets online and u can select the slot of your preference.

Twas a very busy day but the queue moved quickly. Great experience, hardly felt like the wheel was moving hence I was relaxed the whole considering that I'm afraid of heights. Take note you have to be quick swift when getting on and off the ride as it doesn't stop, I saw very old people get on with fair amount of ease. We used our phones to take pictures but there's an option to take one before and as the ride ends and this is charged separately.

The line was long but moved very quickly so it didn’t feel long at all. The eye moves at a slower pace so it is not scary getting on or off while it is moving. They do stop for people that need extra time to move. There is a small, very limited seating area in the middle of the pod, so if you are the last to enter you might not get a seat. The entire pod is clear so you can get a full clear view from every angle. There is a photo at the end and the side of the photo is labeled in the pod. It is a nice tourist experience.

Big Ben is a cultural landmark located in London, England. The bell on the clocktower rings once every hour, and it has been called "the world's most famous clock". The tower, which is 16 stories high, was built between 1858 and 1868.
Lovely place. A great tourist place. Always big crowds. However, it is worth coming here. The Big Ben building is an extraordinary architectural craftsmanship. Today, after renovation, it looks like new. I highly recommend visiting this place in London.

Big Ben or Elizabeth's tower is one of the most well-known attractions in London. The view is lovely! Thought no matter when you are visiting London it's an extremely crowded place. I would recommend to have a quick stroll under Big Ben and continue to the next closest bridge to have a complete view of Thames river and Big Ben.
Vegard K — Google review
Big Ben is actually the name of the 13.5 ton weighing big bell inside the tower which had been the nickname and has been renamed with the Elizabeth tower.
And this is a really an icon of London and famous for its movements’ accuracy and reliability of telling time by striking bells every 15 min. Clock and dial design is very classic
As a part of the Parliament, I think this tower completes the perfection and beauty of the buildings which you may feel better when enjoying the night view. Without this, the Parliament would be a little bit boring even if its appearance is also fantastic. You can see and enjoy this structure from Trafalga square as well when facing the Whitehall. There are also may tourists spots like Westminster abbey, London eye and so on nearby so that you must visit and enjoy the nice view and sound from the clock tower.

Seeing Big Ben in person is an awe-inspiring experience that is sure to leave a lasting impression. The towering clock tower is an iconic symbol of London and its rich history, and it is a must-see attraction for anyone visiting the city.
From a distance, the clock tower is a stunning sight to behold, with its intricate Gothic architecture and towering height visible from many parts of the city. As you get closer, you'll be able to see the clock faces up close, and you'll be amazed at the level of detail and craftsmanship that went into creating them.
If you're lucky enough to be in the area when the clock chimes, you'll be treated to a truly magical experience. The sound of the bell echoing across the city is a truly unforgettable experience that you'll cherish for years to come.
In summary, seeing Big Ben in London is an experience that should not be missed. Whether you're a history buff, an architecture enthusiast, or simply someone who loves beautiful sights, Big Ben is sure to leave a lasting impression on you.

Aside from its striking appearance, Big Ben carries significant historical weight. It has witnessed pivotal moments in London's history and stands as a symbol of the city's resilience and endurance. Seeing this landmark in person made me feel connected to the past and present, as if time itself were encapsulated within its walls.
In conclusion, Big Ben is a must-see destination for anyone visiting London. Its historical significance, architectural brilliance, and prime location make it an iconic symbol of the city. My visit to Big Ben in London was an awe-inspiring experience. The iconic clock tower's grandeur and rich history left me in complete admiration. The panoramic views of the city from this historical landmark were simply breathtaking.

Beautiful landmark.
The street in front of it is very crowded, over the bridge you’ve got a nice view, but if you go the other direction in front of Parliament Square Garden you will have a nice view and not very crowded to take photos.

Very nice place. It is romantic and beautiful. Even though London is somehow gloomy when I was there, but it is still pretty as it is.
I believe its original name is Elizabeth Tower, somehow it is known more as Big Ben.
Be careful about your stuffs, it is very crowded

One of iconic landmarks of London, definitely worth a visit ( both on the outside and inside)
Unfortunately inside tour visits are fastly sold out and during my trip there I couldn't book a ticket.
The walk around the sight, at sunset and then by evening was wonderful, beautiful views.

It's a great view when they're not doing works on it or on the street. Night time pictures of Big Ben are great. You can take pictures from the bridge and towards the London Eye. Westminster Abbey and the House Guards are near. On occasions you can enter parliament but I've never been so find out times and details if you want to go in. Don't expect amenities nearby. Also, very few places for coffee, only a couple where you can sit down but not easy to find. Best cafes are five minutes away towards Victoria or Trafalgar but quite full most of the time. The London eye is near over the bridge and on the way you can see the London Aquarium, my kids loved it. Also, its an easy walk to St James park and Buckingham Palace. I find the park particularly nice with all the birds in the lake and the views towards the palace but better seen/enjoyed in good weather. There are toilets there as well as a couple of kiosks for snacks and drinks.

Big Ben, one of London's most iconic landmarks, stands tall and proud beside the River Thames, serving as a symbol of the city's rich history and enduring resilience. Despite its popular name, Big Ben actually refers to the Great Bell housed within the Elizabeth Tower, which is part of the Palace of Westminster, home to the UK Parliament.
Completed in 1859, the Elizabeth Tower, with its magnificent clock face and towering presence, quickly became a beloved emblem of London's skyline. The Great Bell, which weighs over 13 tons, chimes melodiously every hour, marking the passage of time with its deep, resonant tones. Its name, "Big Ben," is believed to have been derived from the nickname of Sir Benjamin Hall, the Commissioner of Works at the time of the tower's construction.
Over the years, Big Ben has endured wartime bombings, renovations, and even occasional maintenance hiccups, but it has remained steadfast as a symbol of London's resilience and endurance. Its timeless beauty and majestic presence continue to captivate visitors from around the world, who flock to admire its grandeur and snap photos against the backdrop of the historic Westminster Palace.
Despite undergoing restoration works in recent years to address structural issues and ensure its longevity, Big Ben still stands as a timeless symbol of London's past, present, and future. As the heart of the city beats to the rhythm of its chimes, Big Ben remains a cherished icon, reminding us of London's enduring spirit and the timeless allure of its historic landmarks.

The beautiful and iconic Big Ben and the London Eye around. A lovely place to see. Lots of people all around. Just beware of pick pockets in operation.

The tower clock is something incredible to watch. It gives 2 different vibes when standing there in daylight and also at night. Both give different feelings.
The London eye is visible from here which makes it more attractive.
Less crowds, very near, but the road is busy with traffic.
The building, first listed as Grade II in 1970, was upgraded to Grade I in 2011.
In 2013, it was announced that 55 Broadway would be converted into luxury apartments, once London Underground moved operations from the building in 2015 to their new headquarters in the Olympic Park, Stratford, London.
In May 2014, it was announced that the architects, TateHindle, would lead the redevelopment and, in June 2015, planning permission and listed building consent was granted: however, this was not implemented and the planning permission expired in June 2018.
In September 2019, a long-term lease of the property was sold by Transport for London for £120 million to Integrity International Group, founded by Tony Matharu.
In May 2020, it was announced that Blue Orchid Hotels, a subsidiary of Integrity International, would convert the structure into a luxury hotel. (Wiki)
Let's hope they don't change much of its beauty..

At first I was worried I wouldn’t be able to follow the system or get myself lost. Which I did, end up going the wrong way. But it’s actually so easy to follow, it’s good to make a few errors as then you will be conscious of ensuring you’re on the right tube. London Underground is amazing and it is really easy to get around and see places. I would walk around central London. Use the underground when going further afield.
The trains are very regular, you will find they can get very busy, packed. Don’t feel you need to squeeze in, just wait for the next train as it will add to your experience and enjoy it better.
As you would anywhere just be vigilant of your surroundings. I felt very safe, as a solo traveler I was very surprised.

As a visitor, you can’t ask for a better system to get about to major museums, etc. You get to ride with both the working class and executives alike.
Iconic London !
Takes a little getting used to, if you need to travel in the City, it’s the way to go.
As a visitor, we purchased a Visitor Oyster Card online, it’s a fantastic deal.

This is a good way to get around London. The new trains and updated stations are good. It is easy to get a ticket and to get around. However, the ventilation is poor, horrible, hot, and sweaty. It makes for an unbearable and uncomfortable ride. However, some of the trains and train stations have proper ventilation and air but most do not. I only take one train with no transfers, which is all that I can bear, and walk just to be outside where I can breath easy. I caution you to only ride when necessary and recommend you walk outside if able.

These shops are all closed for good. I could rattle on about the good old days, (people actually pay to hear about it) and a book would be better; it would take a book, pdf, file, whatever to explain how much it has changed. Point?

The National Gallery in London is a museum that features the works of some of historys most celebrated European painters, from the medieval period to the early 20th century.
I love the way the National Gallery have made visits easier by proposing three different routes - the A, B or C. This makes a visit there more manageable. In the past, I have been somewhat overwhelmed by the vastness of the collections.
The artworks were beautifully displayed but noisy schoolchildren fooling around and amateur artists plonked right in front of some paintings blocking your frontal view tended to mar slightly the wonderful experience. On the whole, though, it was a wonderful experience.

It always takes my breath away. I love to go in and find my favourite paintings even if I have only got 45 minutes! The joy that this treasured building is free to enter makes it possible to do this - and makes me so proud. I used to go straight for the museums…. Till the first time I went in! I was stunned by the depth of Turner’s paintings and the sheer size of some….. and the way they glow. Pictures cannot do it justice. Always try and make time for the gift shop. Look up at the ceilings…. Look down at the floors. Magnificent.

So huge, and wonderfully designed. The most famous pieces are scattered around which I think works well for the museum, as in places like the Louvre there isn't much done to prevent bottlenecking, whilst here I was able to see well known paintings easily without overcrowding, so I was able to enjoy them too! The spaces are very light and open. The exhibition on St Francis was very interesting, too. Like many museums in the UK the admission is free, and it would certainly be worth a visit even if it wasn't!

I mean, you kind of know what you're getting into when it comes to London's great collection of art. You'll find art from each period over the last 500 years, names you'll recognize both big and small.
Plan to spend at least an hour, and try to avoid a busy time if you can as it does get crowded. If you are going during a busy period, then definitely buy tickets in advance.

Lovely museum with free admission, though do prebook a ticket so you can skip the long line waiting to buy tickets. Well laid out, so fairly easy to follow rooms in sequence and not miss anything. Raphael is still the best in my opinion, and he didn’t disappoint here. One of the best art collections in the world - do not miss.

One of the best art museums located in the heart of London at the famous Trafalgar square.
You have to book tickets in advance online, however, entry is totally free and in case of non rush hours they do not even check your tickets which mean you don't have to stand in queue as well.
In addition to the portraits and the paintings the architecture of the gallery from the inside is really wonderful.
Recommended for a long visit for art lovers but even if you are not an art lover - still recommended for a quick visit if you're in Trafalgar Square.

This art museum is beautiful, the building and the paintings are great. The gallery is free to visit! The British Museum, established in 1753 with collections from Sir Hans Sloane, houses over eight million items from around the world. It offers themed departments such as Ancient Egypt and Sudan, Greece and Rome, the Middle East, Asia, Africa, Oceania and the Americas. Despite its renowned antiquities like the Elgin Marbles, it's also toddler-friendly with a Families Desk in the Great Court for guidance and Museum Explorer Trails for kids.
Superb few hours here with our first visit. Allow loads of time as there is so much to see and explore. There is something for everyone and would recommend going to each level. Amazing experience and all for free! The history of the museum and its additions is a story within itself. The Egyptian section really tapped into imagining what life was like for them. The original museum building being staged how it was originally designed to be used was an insight into society and their interpretation of other cultures at that time. Absolutely fantastic and a Covid safe place to visit. It's hard to describe all the magnificent collections, you'll need to visit yourself 🙂

A wonderful experience on a very wet London day. We arrived mid morning and we were expecting to queue but we went in easily despite the security inspection. There is no cost so no awful queue like the Louvre. We were able to leave coats, bags and umbrellas at the cloakroom for a very reasonable price. This freed us up to enjoy the museum. It is huge! We got a free map then decided to buy the guidebook and study it before setting out. We went to the 3rd floor first and booked for lunch at the restaurant. We then did the 3rd floor which is vast before an EXCELLENT, late lunch. Then down to the ground floor galleries. Unfortunately, the Parthenon galleries were closed but there was so much to see that it really did not matter. Keep some energy: The gift shops and book shops were amazing but since we are travelling light, we had to resist.
We made a donation because this fantastic museum is still free. Enjoy!

As a big history buff, the British Museum certainly didn't disappoint me. I was at the museum with my family, and it was an experience I will never forget.
Even though there were a lot of people and the museum seemed a bit cluttered, once you got to the areas where there weren't so many people, it was a dream come true for me. Beautiful and containing descriptions, I spent several hours in the museum. I liked the passage of ancient Egypt, Mesopotamia and Japan the best. But the most interesting exhibit was undoubtedly Rosetta Stone. Although I understand that for someone who is not so interested in history, the museum may seem boring. For me, it was an experience ! won't soon forget and if l'm ever in London again, I'll definitely go again.

It’s a giant museum. There are many floors and many sessions. There are many samples from different continents and regions of the world (I wonder how they all ended up there?). Amazing place to visit, just not happy about the booking time slots, still have to join the long queue, there is no separate queue for advance bookings. Also when you book online you have to pay donations although it says it's free. But people on the day just join the queue and no-one put any money in the donation boxes. So what's the point booking in advance. I will say just go on the day join the queue and off you go. Great collections from different parts of the world especially Egypt.

Have been many times before but went to see the temporary “Legion, Life in the Roman Army” exhibit. Totally spaced it and didn’t preorder the free timed entry and had to kill some time at the Starbucks across the street. Once in I explored some of the favorites - Egypt, Mesopotamia, Greece, Japan, and China.
The Legion exhibit was interesting. There were some wonderful looking artifacts and the displays were well arranged. I liked the idea of following along in the foot steps of a single person. My one complaint is with the patrons, not the museum - when the place is full and there are others looking at the same display, don’t be thoughtless and constant in front of the thing like it’s your own little party. Be aware and be considerate.

The Victoria & Albert Museum is the largest museum of decorative and applied arts in the world. It has a wide range of exhibits, including creative activities for kids. The museum is also home to the Rapid Response Collection, which features contemporary pieces that react to significant moments in recent history.
The description of this museum (online) does not fully describe everything you will see here. It states textiles, fashion, etc. but it is so much more than that. The cast room alone is worth the visit, truly. We thought we would 'briefly' stop in to enjoy the museum, and ended up staying for many hours. Definitely worth seeing. This and the British Museum have been my favorites on this trip. Highly recommend.

One of the best Museums in the world. So many interesting items. The collections focus on the power of good design and beautiful objects. A must see attraction in London. The museum offers free tours that run on every hour. The collections include contemporary pieces & old ones providing interest and breadth of design features. The Jewellery section is particularly rich with beautiful objects.
A huge plus The museum offers great options for sandwiches/Salads/soup/deserts and you get to have your meal in beautiful rooms or if the weather is nice in the outside garden and around the fountain and pool. DO NOT MISS THE museum SHOP 😍🥰

Incredible FREE museum. The Courtyard in the middle has a little pool where children were splashing around. Lots of tables to relax and enjoy a peaceful afternoon. The jewelry collection, the room of plaster castings…Go and explore, too much to see it all so just look at what you like! Or go back several times.

My most favourite museum in the world.
Amazing treasures from medieval times to present day. Beautiful galleries, amazing portraits.
I love the jewellery section, being able to see the jewels of people like Queen Victoria and then walk out and see them wearing them in portraits.
When I visit I want to redecorate my house with wonderful, beautiful things, that will last for hundreds of years.
We went early and it was lovely and quiet. Was reasonably busy when we left.

Love V&A. We were time pressed so we were rushing through. Need to allot a whole day to enjoy this place. The indoor outdoor spaces were very well thought out. Love the mix of ancient and modern.
And the fact that most of the pieces were not cased. Also loved the cafeteria. The rooms were magnificent. The food and food choices were very good for the cafeteria style restaurant.

This museum is right next to the National History Museum so plan accordingly. This is a beautiful museum featuring many displays from Asian derived to other European items. All items are displayed wells and with appropriate decorative style befitting the time period. Overall, this is a very well stocked museum with many interesting items. Good experience.

The V&A is an amazing place to visit; although I always feel a little lost in there. It’s enormous and just packed full of stunning displays, collections and exhibitions.
We were hoping to see the theatre collection but at the time of visiting the area had been closed because of low temperatures.
Instead we explored other sections including some of the jewellery, silverware, stained glass and tapestry. The V&A is definitely somewhere that you could visit multiple times and still have more to see.
There’s a really lovely atmosphere in the museum and the ground floor where you will see many people sketching us always packed. My recommendation would be to go up a couple of levels where there are fewer visitors and then you can soak up the atmosphere and really enjoy your surroundings.

The main reason why I visited the museum is to see the Gabrielle Chanel Fashion Manifesto exhibition which is now fully sold out. It is excellent and well curated. Many of her iconic coats and dresses are on display as well as her cosmetic range. The exhibition is not free but for Chanel fans it’s worth a visit. One also gets to see the history behind her creations. Two hours needed.
I also visited the sculpture section seeing the works of Rodin. It’s nice. As for the very much raved about cafe, I find it so so. True that the high ceiling is beautiful with great art work, the service of the cafe crew begs improvement. I find ordering a bit confusing too. But the place is beautiful and given that the museum is free except for special exhibitions, it’s worth a visit.

Lovely museum with incredible artifacts. Such nice volunteers leading guided tours. Loved that it was not nearly as crowded as the natural history museum across the street. I’d love to visit again and spend more time. Loved the soap in the gift shop and brought some home with me.

Amazing place 🤩. I love the atmosphere of this museum. Beautiful interiors, stunning exhibitions and exhibits. This is a very good place to de-stress, also spend a nice time with friends or family. The museum is long, you can go back there many times and you will always find something new that will surprise or amaze you. I highly recommend to everyone going to London!

This is a spectacular museum with so much to recommend it I don't know where to start. The museum building outside and inside is incredibly beautiful. The medieval section has many beautiful pieces. I also enjoyed the China and Korea exhibit. That's all I had time to see! If you are in London don't miss this gem.

Very large Museum. The cast room is amazing. Lots of different eras covered. The centre area with the pool is a good area to relax and dip your feet in the pool. The best part is the museum is still free!!! Other major cities can learn from the London model.

First time visitor. Solo traveler.
Recommendation: No children or minors unless they have an unusual affinity/appreciation for the arts. The ones I saw in there looked bored. Additionally, plan hours or days. The place is huge with multiple exhibits. Naturally everyone has favorites. But to appreciate the breadth of the museums catalog, one needs to plan multiple hours or visits.

Visited on a weekday(Friday). Entry was free and no bookings necessary.
It was massive with lots to see and appreciate. You'd need more than a couple of hours to really get the most of your visit. Spent about 3hrs instead of the 1hr I had initially scheduled.
No drinks and foods allowed in but there is a cafe and designated eating area inside.
If you love museums, this has to be a must see.

Hands down the most amazing collection of art and design I have seen. It's worth every second of the four hours spent there, and I can't wait to go back!
Take a look at the exhibit map before you start, focus on a few areas, and plan for more than one trip!
Also, grab lunch or tea in the cafe or out in the garden cafe. The food was delicious too!

Fabulous museum of arts and crafts, with so many wonderful exhibits, I don't think you could see everything properly if you visited every day for a year. My favourite galleries were the iron work and the modern glass. It is frankly awesome that admission is free.
A couple of minor niggles; the galleries are a bit of a maze, so it is not easy finding your way around, secondly the cafe is about as expensive as anywhere I have ever eaten - £5.90 for a scone, anyone?!

Brilliant Museum with brilliant collections . There are so much to see. Enjoyed every minute of it. The staffs are very helpful and friendly. Good location about 7/8 minutes waking distance from South Kensington station with disable access and clean toilet facilities. Also the Museum have a nice garden and cafe where you can have food and spend a quality time. And it’s free. 10 out of 10.

Absolutely necessary to visit while you’re in London. There is something for EVERYONE. There are pieces from all continents and cultures, and it stays true to its original purpose of art education and cultivation. I recommend the jewellery, cast rooms, and silver rooms for first timers. The glass room, renaissance rooms and Islamic room are also worth a visit.

Unfortunately, we didn't have time to properly view all of the exhibits.
The exhibits we did see were impressive. We caught an impressive live performance from the 'Red Ladies'. Their performance was certainly thought-provoking. It was a polished performance littered with impressive twists and surprises. The exhibits are well spaced out and information regarding the exhibits are very informative without being long winded and time consuming.
This allows for a speedy procession through the building.
We will return and allot the time the museum obviously deserves. Free entry is certainly appreciated.

My favourite art museum in London! There is a mixture of modern and traditional pieces: a little something for everyone. I would recommend getting a map on entry, then deciding which sections and floors you want to see, as it is a very big museum. It wasn't busy when we went, however it might be in public holidays, so be careful.

An exquisite place. Absolutely fascinating and densely packed with amazing art, educational tools, and information. A must visit.
It took me approximately 5-6 hours and I strongly recommend not dedicating any less to this museum. But if you're short on time, I'd say still give it a visit. It's a visual stunner. I especially recommend the sculpture halls, cast courts and the jewellery rooms.
The musical exhibition is also fantastic but it might be temporary.

We included this museum to our plans as a secondary stop in the first place, but then we saw that it is a very underrated place!
We actually spent more time and interest in this place than the British Museum. It has such a wide range of pieces from all over the world and the design of the museum is so good that you do not want to miss anything. Moreover, it is not crowded like other museums so you get more chances to see everything at your pace and longer.
Also, you do not have to reserve your tickets and it's free, you just enter through through the door and you are in.
Definitely and absolutely a must-visit.

Not only does this museum have amazing art collections, it has an amazing courtyard with a large puddle pool for the kids to run through to cool off & decompress. Surrounding the pool is grassy steps & the cafe so parents can take a great break. I can’t say enough about this museum.

Really amazing and vast collection of art, antiquities, design. The building is really beautiful but very maze like. It would take a whole day to see everything.
We went during the week when kids had time off school and it wasn't too crazy busy.

Starting out on the new Elizabeth line, we whipped across East to West London. Accessing the museum was easy a few feet from the South Kensington tube.
As you go in, donations are requested, and maps are offered. The exhibitions are well laid out, and the museum map offers a route around, and there are hours of exhibits to pique your interest.
The cafe is very expensive even for London prices £2.55 for a small water is unacceptable. But the tea room is a wonderful room, worth a look.
There are lectures and guides available. The museum offers a £5 audio guide, so beware expensive fake guides!! We spotted a few.
The trip was wonderful and we will return with a better agenda and more time. Maybe to take a sketch as well, which we saw a lot of artists doing there.

I love this museum, it's been a few years since my last visit. I looked around the jewellery display and the stained glass. Followed by coffee and passion fruit tart in the café, ending with a look around the gift shop. The building itself is beautiful and there's a great selection in the shop. Unfortunately I didn't have time to do anything else I would have liked to look around the Egyptian display. Well worth a visit.

First visit for many years and had an interesting and fun afternoon. The food in the restaurant was amazing and the dining rooms were worth a visit in themselves. There’s a lot to do so I only concentrated on a few areas: fashion through the ages, the Raphael cartoons, furniture and a visit to the gift shop - full of stylish and quality items. Good family birthday gifts!

We visited the exhibition DIVA. It was really good!
They divided it in two floors. You can see outfits of many different famous people.
When you enter, they give you earphones to make the experience even more special.
Totally recommendable.
By the way, don’t forget to book your ticket in advance, else you might not get in, because it often sold out.

Soooo much fun and interesting things to see and learn from! We spent almost an entire day there, and still haven't seen everything, we are going back for another visit and this time hopefully we'll see more! Unbelievable diversity of cultural arts, pottery, jewellery, clothes, etc that one would need a few days/ visits to be able to really get it! Loved every second of my 1st visit and can't wait to return!

The museum is fantastic overall. My personal highlight was the intricate miniature structures on the third floor. Visiting on a Sunday, I found the first and second floors bustling with visitors, but the third and fourth floors were pleasantly uncrowded. From jewelry to technological devices, the museum exhibits a diverse array of items from around the globe. I highly recommend paying a visit.

10/10 would recommend. You should spend the whole day here from 10 am until it’s closed because it’s sooo wide and there’s just simply a lot of things to see. There are -1 level to 4 level so you need to prepare to bring the map so you don’t get lost. Would love to visit this again

The Victoria and Albert Museum in London, founded in 1852, is a global hub for art and design. Its extensive collection spans over 5,000 years and includes diverse artifacts from around the world. With striking Victorian architecture, it offers a rich cultural experience through permanent collections and temporary exhibitions.

Monolithic in size and content! Mainly helpful staff and good accessibility across the place, decent toilets and beautiful hallways. Some areas are in need of TLC with wording faded and tattered, with money being ring fenced for other more ‘exciting’ parts. Closed too early unfortunately and some parts of super busy, but if you go early and during the week you can have a good time, no tickets needed. The camera obscures is fun and not very busy.

Anything less than a 5 star to this fabulous museum would be an injustice to ratings. Some of the finest collections on the planet in a vast area. Easily 1 day to explore. Fabulous dining area , if somewhat fast food in style with plastic trays to take the food to your hastily found large shared table. Bit hey its all about the exhibits.

This museum is expansive. If you give even a little attention to all exhibits you will be there all afternoon. Tapestries, ceramics, photography, sculpture, furniture too much to list really. Also right across the street from the Museum of Natural History and the Science Museum. You can definitely make a whole day and then some in this one area of London.
The Natural History Museum is a renowned landmark showcasing animals and natural phenomena through interactive exhibits and lifelike dinosaur displays. It hosts the annual Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition, featuring over 50,000 submissions from 95 countries. The museum's extensive collection includes dinosaur skeletons, specimens collected by Charles Darwin, and a working earthquake simulator. Housed in an architecturally impressive building, it is one of London's most popular free tourist attractions.
Free to visit.

Easy access for buggies and wheelchairs

It's a great exhibition and it's hard to believe it's free. There is a wide range of exhibits, from living organisms to minerals, and both men and women are sure to enjoy them. The museum is very large, so be careful not to concentrate too much or lose track of time. Priority entry is given, although advance booking is not essential.

Such an absolutely wonderful time. I love museums of natural history and I'm not used to going to museums for free so this was such a pleasant experience.
This was my first time at the Natural History Museum in London and there were so many wonderful exhibits. I was a little sad that the escalator which looks like you are going directly into a planet was down but this museum still had so many beautiful rooms filled with amazing aspects of natural history.
While I loved many if the exhibits, my favorite part was walking into the grand entrance. It literally looked like I was walking into Hogwarts. That may sound strange to some, but I was just in such awe of its grandness and beauty.
Definitely hope to return again in the future.

The Natural History Museum in London is an absolute gem and a must-visit attraction for families, especially those with school-age children. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted by the grandeur of its massive halls and the promise of endless exploration.
While the museum caters to visitors of all ages, it truly shines as a destination for kids and families. The abundance of hands-on activities ensures that young minds stay engaged and curious throughout their visit. The dinosaur exhibit, in particular, is a hit with visitors of all ages and is sure to leave a lasting impression.

An impressive place, the museum is enormous and you cannot see everything in a couple of hours. My recommendation is to look at the map and select in advance the exhibits that are most appealing to you. The highly popular dinosaur’s exhibit is located at the ground floor and can be busy.
I especially like the Earth Treasure’s gallery with magnificent rocks and gems.
You can buy the museum activity book for 5p that includes a map and nice explanations and tasks for kids.

This museum has been on my bucket list forever and finally I have made the trip here earlier this year in spring. Reserved the tickets online. There was a queue in the morning. It was still pretty quick to get in when the doors opened.
Ah the displays were wonderful! Everything was a delight. Especially the more famous displays. Was floored by the hanging skeleton of the whale in the entrance hall.
To anyone out there who loves museums. This is a must visit. You may not be able to cover it all in one day but it is sure fun to try.
Be prepared for some crowds I guess. It wasn't too overwhelming on the day I visited.

The most famous and interesting museum in London. It is also undoubtedly one of the most beautiful architectural buildings in London.
The entrance is free.
We were here on a weekday, so there weren't many people.
The museum is divided into 4 zones:
• orange - zoology
• blue - dinosaurs, fish, reptiles, mammals and marine life
• green - birds, insects, giant sequoia, minerals
• red zone - minerals, volcanoes, earthquakes, human evolution.
I really liked the blue whale - its skeleton hangs at the entrance to the museum.
° exposition with dinosaurs.
° exhibits of stones, miners, diamonds and stones interspersed with gold, silver, platinum.
There are restrooms inside.

The Natural History Museum in London has a special place in our hearts as one of our family's absolute favourites. We've made countless visits over the years, and it's time we shared just how extraordinary this cathedral of knowledge truly is.
Stepping into the museum feels like entering a magical world of discovery, where every corner promises something fascinating. The architecture alone is enough to captivate, but the sheer depth and breadth of the exhibits truly astound. Each visit leaves us in awe, and I doubt we'll ever tire of exploring its wonders.
We visited again recently when Siena, my daughter, who is in year 12 at school, needed to do some research for her geography school studies; we knew exactly where to spend our day. Amidst the breathtaking array of minerals at the Natural History Museum, we found ourselves immersed in a world of learning and excitement. The museum's collection is not just impressive; it's absolutely mesmerizing.
Whether you're a visitor to London or a local, with or without children, a trip to this museum is an absolute must. The sheer diversity of species and the captivating insights into nature, minerals, and geography make it an experience that quickens the pulse and ignites the imagination. It's a place that calls you back time and time again.
On a personal note, we must express gratitude to the Natural History Museum for its role in our daughter's journey. Her time volunteering here only solidified her passion for environmental sciences, setting her on a path she's genuinely excited to pursue at university.
Thank you, Natural History Museum, for being an endless source of inspiration.

We went on a Friday afternoon, and it was super busy and I think this affected the experience. I am the sort that typically require some space and quite to ponder on the specimens and exhibitions. There was also a long queue, guessing this had to do with the fact it was a Bank Holiday weekend.
The Museum itself wasn't bad. Sections of the building and ground was under renovation but this didn't take away from the beauty of the building. I thought it was grand. I loved the intricate designs both in and out as well as the elegant ceilings. Those were worth paying attention too as well. And the hanging specimens from the roof were a stunner.
Although the weather control didn't seem to work and it was mostly a sweaty experience, we still managed to have a good time. In the end, we found the Cafe/Restaurant on the ground floor and sat by a fan. The toilet was clean.

The Natural History Museum is absolutely enormous and very popular with both tourists and locals alike. Just like every other visitor we had to have a look at the dinosaurs but our visit this time was to see the photography exhibition.
The Wildlife Photographer of the Year is a paid exhibition but very good value as the depth and quality of the photography is stunning!
As in previous years I think that some of the best in the exhibit were taken by young people from across the world.
The staff do a good job of ensuring that numbers in the exhibition are limited so that you do get enough time and space to see each photo and commentary.
The Natural History Museum is a must visit if you are in London but don’t expect to see everything in one go-you’ll need to visit many times!

We visited natural history museum with my son. It was a great experience. You can find fossils of dinosaurs, preserved animals, minerals and gem stones, earth and effects of factors on earth like wind water earthquakes etc. You can also find the planets and solar system. So it is a nice and fun family activity. If you need to pray during your visit there is a contemplation room for prayers. You must spare a whole day for your visit. Give a break at cafeteria after several hours and then continue to discover what is left. By the way tickets are online and free of charge if you want you can donate. Strongly advice to book your tickets online in order to avoid long queue for tickets at the entrance.

Walking up to the museum hits hard with the amazing architecture. It’s overwhelmingly gorgeous. There is no cost to go in, but they do request a donation. You get a free guide book with your donation. Inside, the first thing you see is the skeleton of a whale hanging overhead. It was amazing. The dinosaur area was overly crowded, and there were tons of children so we didn’t stay long. The mammal area was the same. The rest of the museum was just moderately busy, and there were so many cool things to see!! I wish we had more time.

Lovely museum with so much to see. Very busy though! We pre booked which was the best decision as the queue to get in was enormous. Was very clean despite the heavy foot traffic, would recommend going on a week day early morning to avoid the crowds. Children were running about screaming in the most popular areas such as the dinosaurs, but other exhibits were much quieter but equally as interesting.
A few exhibits were closed for upkeep, cannot wait to revisit and go explore them as well.

The Natural History Museum is just amazing. The architecture is just spectacular. The fossils are beautifully preserved. If you want to see everything, 2 days would probably be best, however we went to see the dinosaurs and mammals. There is a queuing system for the crowds that works well. However if you are disabled, you get fast tracked through to the entrance and the staff are so very helpful. I brought my papers and attempted to show them, however they understood me and did not need the evidence. Lots of seating throughout and spaces to rest away from the crowds. Events like this can be quite overwhelming, however the staff make it smooth and enjoyable. Not every disability is visible. The shop is not over priced and the products they sell are all very appealing. The museum is situated on Cromwell Road and close to South Kensington Tube. Best of all it is free entry for all.

Visit here was one of the best moments during our London-trip. This Madam Tussauds is one of the biggest I visited so far, several hours can be spent without any problem. Unique experience, must visit. It is worth the price. Ticket prices include spirit of London ride and small 5D show. Only downside for me was that the Bollywood celebrity figurines were poorly made. Hardly resembled the real person. Also, keep in mind they keep changing the displays from time to time so my experience might differ from others.

I absolutely loved the museum! You get your money's worth, as there is plenty to see inside, there's a 4D cinema room and a little taxi ride with some history explained along the way. There was also a house of horrors, but not recommended for children or people with weak stomachs. You can also have your hand moulded in wax and there's a souvenir shop at the end. Work on spending 2.5-3 hours inside.

Absolutely magnificent and must-see attraction in London. There are a lot of things to see and great figures of celebrities from worlds of music, sport, art, politics, history. The short 3D Marvel movie with special effects is also very interesting and the part that we loved the most was the ride by train through the history of London. That is a truly great experience! It's interesting both for adults and kids.

It’s very worth visiting attraction. Wax figures come to life.
Wheelchair user friendly but you will need to book a time-slot for wheelchair before your visit.

Stunning and interesting Madame Tussauds wax museum.
Here you can take pictures not only with famous personalities, but also with movie or cartoon characters, and also take a ride through a tunnel that tells about the history of England in colorful exhibitions of those times.
We had a lot of fun, had a lot of fun and took a lot of photos.
There is also a souvenir shop at the exit.
We bought tickets online through booking, while we were walking to the museum, we stood in line for about 10-20 minutes to enter.

Its was a great experience. We booked our tickets online a day before. It was slightly cheaper than to buy on site as we got little discount. We went there on weekdays so there wasn’t long queue to wait and no rush inside. Inside its too warm, could be because of the lights and no visible windows for fresh air. The wax statues are fun to watch and take pictures with them. We all enjoyed a lot.

O experienta frumoasa!

A beautiful experience! I bought the tickets in advance online, but I went on a Monday and it wasn't crowded when buying tickets! Very nice tour, it was in several categories, firstly the wax statues of some famous people, then the chamber of horrors, then it took you on a little train made up of taxis and you visited the era of Queen Elizabeth (the most interesting part), then the Marvel characters with a small video in a 4D cinema and finally the starwars characters! Everything is interesting and it's for children too!

Wasn't expecting much. Never been before. Had already made my mind up in advance that I wouldn't enjoy it, however, I was wrong. It was a lovely experience. Some characters better than others, but the majority were very realistic.

We bought fast track ticket combo with London Eye (online).. Luckily we chose entry at 10AM because they open at 10AM. When arriving there was already very very long queue of people waiting.. Those with fast track ticket had special mini queue. We went through the security and then inside.. Being among first people gave us huge advantage.. We were there almost alone for about 10-15 minutes..
I was there after 16 years.. I have photos then and now.. Probably 90% of exhibition and figurines were different now.. Science and technology also moved forward because some of new figurines look astonishing, like alive.. Some of them resemble their alive clones not so much..
Being ahead of crowds gave us freedom to enjoy exhibition. We were done within an hour. Overally we liked it a lot.

The figures are perfect. The look like living people. The London trip was very fun. I recommend the horror part of the museum. You may be sprayed with blood!

"Had an outstanding time at Madame Tussauds London. The attention to detail in the wax statues is truly remarkable, making you feel like you're standing next to the real celebrities and historic figures. Each statue, crafted meticulously, offers a fantastic photo opportunity. The entire experience is brilliantly crafted to immerse visitors. The taxi ride, shedding light on London's rich history, was both educational and entertaining. A definite highlight was the 4DX movie – it added an awesome, thrilling dimension to our visit. With so much to see, we found ourselves completely engrossed, spending nearly 3 hours and snapping hundreds of photos. By the end, we were a bit exhausted but in the best way possible. It's a comprehensive and memorable journey that transcends just wax figures. Highly recommend for a unique London experience!"

The experience was great. The statues are life size and resemble an exact copy. Multiple sections to cover so have ample time. Too crowded sometimes to pose with your interests.

Fantastic experience. A must visit attraction when you are in London. Wax figures look very real. Visited on Sunday afternoon and it was not very crowded at that time. They have figures of famous celebrities , Royal family, star wars and marvels. Spend a good 2 hours inside the museum. There was a good ride inside which was also fabulous. Try to buy tickets in advance that will avoid any hassle there.

Took my children there for the half term , we loved every bit of it especially the taxi ride telling stories about the spirit of London as we travelled through something like a tunnel. Well recommended for anyone that wants to have a view of what real life celebrities look like😝

🕯️ I've never been a fan of Madame Tussauds, except for visiting their wax museum here in London. I am really impressed and can say that every penny we spent here is really worth it. All the stars you know from Hollywood, film and television and celebrities in general from all over the world are set up here as wax figures. Even Marvel heroes are available as a 4D studio included in the price. There is also a taxi tour of England's history. They are fake taxis of course, see photos :) You can also buy merchandising items at the end of the tour (studios). and you should definitely allow yourself about 2 hours for the entire tour (some more, some less). Making our own wax hands was a big hit for us. When creating the wax hands, we were really impressed by Ahmed‘s artistic work. He's a genius and you definitely have to say that and praise him sometimes.

We had a great visit here. We came in first thing in the morning just before opening and lines were already alongside the building.
If you can come in early.
The place has several parts. One of wax dolls and one of a 4D film, one with a two sites ride and one with Movie characters.
The whole round took us about two hours.
The kids really enjoyed it and we would definitely come back here again. A great attraction.

Visited this popular wax museum a few months back for an event. The gallery was well managed and boasted a grand collection of well-crafted wax figures of prominent personalities. Coupled with this, the organisation of the party was outstanding, making the experience truly memorable. The staff were very cooperative and the ambiance was top-notch. A great effort by the management to keep up with the expectations of its patrons.

35 years on since i last visited and it was amazing! We had the best day out.. so many photos... it wasn't that busy neither considering it was a Saturday afternoon (mid march) and a big queue to get in.
There is good variety with the themes of the models, from action heroes to celebs and genres. They had star wars scenes too, which was my personal fave. There was a quite good 4d marvel movie as well. I highly recommend it, especially if you like taking photos.

We have been several times in the gaps and each time we were delighted with the new settings.
Worth every penny.
They are well organized, regardless of the big crowd. Everything goes very fast at the entrance.
You have as much time as you want to see everything in the Museum, approximately 1.5-2 hours is quite enough.
House of Horrors is really scary. Near the end, they also have a ride in a small train where they show scenes of life in London over the centuries.
It is recommended to buy a set of tickets with other sights of London because you can save a lot (for example, London eye and Madame Tussauds, price around £50 for adults, for 2 attractions). If you buy with several attractions, the price is even more favorable and the ticket lasts for 3 months.

Great experience with lots of figures to see spanning many genres. There was a ride and a 4d show included, which broke up the walking nicely. There were hands-on wax hands for those interested and a gift shop at the end.

I went here yesterday for a day out because I hadn't been for a bit 😁 the bag searches were efficient and the ticket scanning was also efficient.
Lots of celebrities to have met and had every photo opportunity with, I enjoyed looking around at the celebrities and the venue was fab! I really enjoyed it 💃🏻🕺🏻🪩
It's worth the money and a lot to see, the taxi ride was awesome and the horror tour was amazing too! Aswell as 4D cinema! There was lots to see and I will be back again 🥰
I also loved the disco part where you could press the button to start a party 🪩 that was fun and I was enjoying it! It was very good 😃

A well spent 3 Hours!! The place had so many different themes that made it all the more interesting and enjoyable. Especially the Chamber of Horrors and the 4DX Marvel cinematic experience. The wait for getting inside was a bit long even with a time specific pre booking but it is understandable as it was a Saturday afternoon.

Good place for a day out when it’s a rainy day in London. If you have Merlin pass you can enter the fast track entrance. Highly recommend booking ticket in advance otherwise you are looking at long Que to enter. We took lots of funny photos and highlight was the 4D Marvel experience. In total I was there for 90 minutes with my family.

As one of the main tourist attractions you definitely know that this place could be during the pick time a bit more overcrowded. If you accept it then you will have an interesting point of view even on the history of England. Except for the world-famous people you will see also life in old London. So you will see a lot. Thank you🤩
Camden Market is a large and eclectic market with a youthful vibe. It sells fashion and accessories, music, and more. It is located in Camden Town underground station.
On a Sunday, it's an amazing place with a lot of good vibes and people coming from all over the world to enjoy the international amazing variety of food, drinks, and sweets. There are authentic restaurants from all continents. The foods generally taste really good. The market is also very pleasant to the eye and the lake makes it even more beautiful. You can also buy different souvenirs from international shops as well. You can have a good time regardless whether you're a family or younger groups. Highly recommended.

Camden Market is a vibrant and eclectic destination that's a must-visit for anyone seeking a diverse shopping and dining experience. The market's unique mix of alternative fashion, arts, crafts, and international cuisine creates a captivating atmosphere that's truly one-of-a-kind. However, it's important to note that the popularity of Camden Market can lead to overcrowding, especially during weekends and peak tourist seasons. This can make navigating through the narrow streets and exploring the stalls a bit challenging, detracting from the overall enjoyment of the visit. If you prefer a more relaxed shopping environment, consider visiting during off-peak hours to fully appreciate the market's charm without feeling overwhelmed by the crowds.

One of the best markets in London with four quarters/sections: Camden Lock, Stables Market, Hawley Wharf and Buck Street. Each quarter has its own style and is good for different things. Overall, the food stalls are great and there are tons of shops to browse. But my favourite thing is the atmosphere and being beside the canal.

Despite the weather, it turned out beautifully because of the people. I was there in 1998 and Oh boy everything was the same exciting vibes but lots of changes. Loved every seller I talked to and genuinely good karma around the areas. Loved the energy, the music and happiness. Bringing my younger daughter to visit a place where people are colourful and arts of all sorts is fantastic. Thank you Camden Town.🙏🌟💐💖🎆🎊🎉

Not a night place for kids but for adults. Kids can be brought during daytime. I don't mean kids aren't allowed, but small kids can be better taken to other places. It's a nice place to hangout with old and new friends. Plenty of eateries and pubs to choose from. Very hustling and bustling area. A lot of restaurants close at 8 and most by 9. Not a very clean place too. Go during day to click pictures in the umbrella street.

Made a quick visit here for few hours in the evening, great selection of vendors from apparel to food.
Picked up some body wash from a soap vendor which was great as needed small containers to take on flight.
Food was great, stopped at multiple food vendors and bought little bites from as many as I could until full.
There is also little containers people can sit in to stay warm and sit down to eat food they bought in the market, these are free and maintained by volunteers.

I love the vibe of Camden market. Punk rock, to granola, preppy and casual. This place is great for all. So much choice in food vendors, something to please everyone. I love the new renovations to the market. It's chic, clean and very inviting. A definite must see if you ever visit London.

Very crowded but fun. There are many interesting stuff to see and buy but it looks like the quality of goods are quite poor. Great place to try all kind of cuisine and different activities. Got many good bubble tea shops around as well

Lots of different food and shop options. It was definitely very crowded on the weekend around lunch time - we had visited during the week at the same time and it was much easier to get around and see everything. The food is more reasonable them some of the costs of the different stores and shops. Great photo opportunities throughout. Definitely recommend swinging by the soho 'ice cream' spot here too. Awesome take on ice cream!

As a local what’s to say about Camden? It’s fun, it’s busy, full of tourists and unique shops. People thinking outside of the box and a more relaxed feeling. It feels a bit like Brighton some times. Next to the canals, plenty of places to enjoy sunny days and full of unique characters. It’s definitely a side of London I’m glad we have and everyone should visit. Both locals and tourists.

One of the most affordable markets in London. Best place for souvenirs and many more gifts. It has a variety of shops for all kinds of audiences. Along with this it has mouth watering food joints and some well known food corners to satisfy your taste buds. On weekends, it's a jam packed Market with long queues outside shops and restaurants. This is a must visit place for shopping and eating whenever you are in London.
