How long is the drive from Lugano to Lucerne?
The direct drive from Lugano to Lucerne is 104 mi (168 km), and should have a drive time of 1 hr 49 mins in normal traffic.
If you’re going on a road trip from Lugano to Lucerne, we did the research for you and compiled some great stops along the way — with Zurich, Como, Grindelwald, Varese, Locarno, and Bellagio, as well as top places to visit like Santuario della Beata Vergine dei Miracoli and Campanile San Nicolò, or the ever-popular CASCINA MUSCHIONA est. 1999.
The top cities between Lugano and Lucerne are Zurich, Como, Grindelwald, Varese, Locarno, and Bellagio. Zurich is the most popular city on the route. It's 2 hours from Lugano and less than an hour from Lucerne.
Lake Como is a stunningly beautiful lake in Italy that is well known for its dramatic mountain views and luxurious resorts. It's an easy 30-45 minute train ride from Milan, and a day trip is definitely recommended if you're looking to explore the area's charming stores and cafes as well as take in some incredible scenery.
it was a beautiful experience for myself and my friends. The Lake Como not only offers a stunning scenery with impressive and unique architecture but also scrumptious food! There was not a day that passed without one Aperol Spritz. In Lake Como you get to connect with the locals on a deeper level and you get the one in a lifetime opportunity to dabble into the italian lifestyle. The cities along the lake are easily accessed through the ferry, that rides regularly throughout the day. Every single town has its own specialty which makes them all worth exploring! I do have to add, that the city Como itself and Bellagio had a more posh touch to it. Although the towns were consistent with the cute italian architecture, you were surrounded by huge luxury houses and many many wealthy people. Furthermore, it was quite busy and that should be taken into consideration since i went there during NYE, meaning there weren’t as many tourists as there would be in the summer season. Still, you felt that Lake Como is loved by many people. Nonetheless it was a lovely experience!

A beautiful place - we took the train from Milan for 5 euros. But if you are planning a one day trip, there is not enough time to explore all the beaches by walking.

It was great to see the villas with the boat tour! You should definitely take a boat tour! Great to hear the history of Como and villas from a captain. You should definitely spare 2 days for Como.

This whole place looks like from a fairytale. Amazing views, beautiful lake with mountains all around. The building and all architecture is very traditional, lets say very italian. It makes you feel like in dream really. The food in restaurants though is quite expensive.

1.5 hours drive from Milan. Beautiful scenery and drive.
If you are driving make sure you leave well in advance because it gets busier.
Try to travel 3 must villages and if you are driving do not drive from one village to another always take fairy. It’s easy and short otherwise you will end up having difficulty uphill sharp turns.

One of the most beautiful attractions around Milan.
The atmosphere, scenery, weather, …every aspect of my experience was perfect.
It’s totally recommended as a day trip.

Lake Como offers amazing scenery and it's really worth your time. Lake is surrounded by beautiful towns/villages where you can stroll and sink the atmosphere. Lake also offers spectacular mountain views. I recommend to take a ferry from one side of the lake to the other, so you can see and enjoy the lake to the fullest. Plan to spend here couple hours. You can easily get to Como by taking direct train from Milan.

Lake como is very charming place. You will love it instant you see it. For a quieter area, try Bellano with train access. But anywhere on the lake you choose to stay will not disappoint. Simply gorgeous views from all sides of the lake. We love Lake Como.

It's definitely a special place with huge potential beauty, but... It's very commercial in certain parts. It's one of those areas that is suffering under its own success.

This spectacular lake is both serene and surrounded by amazing little towns and villas all the way through to Como City at the southern tip of this inverted Y- shaped very picturesque lake. It’s also surrounded by lush green mountains. We took the boat ride from Bellagio to Como city in this leg, where all these pictures were shot from. We started off with a thunderstorm that subsided quick and then it was a lovely and calm and relaxing boat ride all the way through. One must definitely take a cruise along this lake to get a good perspective of this beautiful lake and wonders of nature surrounding this place.

it was a very beautiful cozy place to visit. there's a lot of activities to do like boat riding and funicular ride where you can see the beauty of lake Como from uphill. a relaxing place to visit.

‼️BRIEFLY ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Among the largest lake in Italy and probably the most famous.
❗KEEP IN MIND: you can walk around it but it will take more than one day.. Cycling is also another good option but will require time as well. Else you have ferries going around.

Framed against a breathtaking landscape of steep, pine-swathed mountains, Lake Como is famed for its atmospheric sense of calm and elegance…… therefore a must visit for anyone!
I wanna go again and again this part of Italy

One of the highlights of the trip was passing by the elegant villas that dot the shoreline. Each one seemed more luxurious than the last, with their colorful facades and lush gardens adding to the charm of the surroundings. I couldn't help but imagine what life must be like for the fortunate few who call these magnificent properties home. I would have liked to have a guide to provide us with fascinating insights into the history and culture of Lake Como ( we found them online). Whether you're a nature lover, a history buff, or simply someone in search of a peaceful escape, I can't recommend it highly enough. Trust me, you won't be disappointed. You feel connected with the nature around you and with yourself as you watch the shows of lights given by the sun, the birds swimming and the life murmur on the shore.

The Jungfrau mountain, standing at 13,642 feet and located in Switzerland, offers stunning views of the neighboring peaks Eiger and Monch. This alpine wonderland can be accessed through the Jungfrau Railway or by taking one of three different routes. Visitors to this well-established tourist attraction can enjoy a variety of activities including visiting an ice sculpture palace and chocolate shop. The Swiss Alps are widely regarded as a must-see destination due to their natural beauty and numerous attractions.
Where shall I begin? Ok I know a ton of people will say how expensive the tickets are, however it is so worth it. We are a family of 5 and could NOT pass up this opportunity. (So glad we didn’t.)
We originally had wanted to go for sledding, but changed our minds in the end. This is due to how tired we were alone with the trip to the top of the mountain. This was our first trip as a family on a mountain this high, and wanted to get the most from it. So we parked in Grimelwald Terminal and there were so many open spots. ( I downloaded the Jungfrau app and purchased our parking ticket there. If you type in your plate number, the guard will automatically let you in/out of the parking lot.)
We were pretty unsure about how to make it to the top (since instructions aren’t very clear on the site) however the customer service desk helped us out tremendously and spoke good English. We decided on the Eiger Express (gondola) and the train to make our way up. From there we planned out what we were going to do first and knew it needed to begin with the very top! I mean that’s what everyone comes for right?… So we went straight to the top, and then headed back down and did the different attractions. Our favorite was the ice palace, hands down.
There is a ton of walking so be prepared for that, and I made sure to have myself and my kids bundled up. Taking photos outside on the top of that mountain was definitely a priceless moment. We ate at the self serve restaurant and it was very basic food, but the views were magnificent and we enjoyed it. My best advice, buy your parking in advance and really map out what attractions you want to see. (Not every train, or gondola goes to the same spot, so we didn’t get to see some attractions for this reason. Many are on different routes.) I would also bring my own snacks and drinks. (A bottle of water was 6 dollars alone) Other than this, make sure your warm and simply have a great time.

It was an amazing experience from the train and aerial cable car to the breathtaking views. Be careful if you choose a tour that takes you up. The one I took rushed us so much we had a hard time enjoying the experience.

Great once in life time experience. Definitely worth experiencing top of Europe. Everything is perfect . We went from Interlaken ost to Lauterbren. Lauterbren to Grindelwald and from there Eiger express gandola to Eiger Gletscher. From there you will board the train ascending to Jungfraujoch.

This is one of the most spectacular places on Earth! You can see the greenery of the mountains, as well as the glaciers, it is breathtaking!! The ride up there is so relaxing and stunning. Be ready to warm up and take your sunscreen protection too, the sun burns but feels amazing to feel the cool breeze too and most of all, don't drop your camera or phone or you might not see it again lol ... It is a very high platform at the top of Europe. Enjoy it!! ✨️

Absolutely stunning and once in a lifetime view if you don't constantly live near huge mountains. So beautiful and the only reason it's not 5 stars is that it's so freaking expensive. But Switzerland in general is expensive compared to most other EU countries. 🤷♂️ Save up!

Scenic views of glaciers from Lauterbrunnen to the Top of Europe. Mount.jungfrajoch is one of the highest peaks in Switzerland. We took the train from Lauterbrunnen to Kleine Scheidegg Station. From there we changed the train to Jungfraujoch which is the highest railway station, took almost two hours to reach. First time travelled in a cog wheel train. Magnificent views of lush green villages, crystal clear rivers flowing besides the ways, forests filled with thick Alps trees, the Swiss cows with bells roaming and grazing in the fields. We can enjoy a lot of the beauty of nature in different moods (cloudy, foggy, rainy and sunny) all the way to the top. We already brought some snacks before the journey. In between the train stopped for five minutes at some viewpoints where we can enjoy the panoramic views.
Once we reach there the first attraction is Sphinx observatory deck goes through a fast elevator 108m in 25 seconds. After we walked inside through the Ice palace, Alpine sensation and Lindt chocolate factory. Outside we have done some snow park activities and watched the glacier plateau. Suggest the trip in summer July and August to get the clear views and feel a little warm weather. The railway ticket itself is a Souvenir as a Red Passport. A lovely unforgettable Swiss memory to the Top of Europe !.

One of the best experiences in my life. The views are insane. It's a quick ascent by train/cable car so you might feel a bit uneasy at the beginning. I recommend a walk to the shelter aeound snow fun park. A bit of walk and climbing but totally worth it.
Kasia Drzewiecka — Google review
Jungfraujoch is an highest alpine wonderland that is the top of Europe. It was around 174 CHF to get the high end Cable car and the passing through famous Red Train tickets to get reach on top of Europe. The Cable car seat is heated when you sit on them and I have never expected to reach such a high mountain peak in such a quick and easiest way. On the top it wasn't that cold on measuring equipment which was around -9.9 Celsius. Unfortunately that was feels like around -30 Celsius because of the wind, that I can only feel in winter times in my country. Even you will come across a plaque commemorating the area where the famous "Crash Landing on you" movie was filmed there.
It was very pleasant and interesting to see that much creation in this beautiful nature.
Thank you creative Switzerland

Jungfrau opens everyday including Christmas Eve. We had great experiences here, admiring the breathtaking views of Europe’s highest peak.

Just WOW!
A visit to Jungfraujoch was included in our independent tour and it was spectacular and helped by the weather, being a clear sunny day. Plenty of ice and snow, even in August and warm enough for t-shirts only.
Access was by train from Interlaken Ost to Grindelwald, the Eiger Express cable car to Eigergletschter station and then the Jungfrau railway to the top - 3500m. The cable car ride offers magnificent views over the countryside and the views from the top support the hype of being at the Top of Europe. Breathtaking.
Sure, there's plenty of people there, but you expect that and you adjust, so you don't miss any of the views. Be aware of the thin air up there.
Walk through the Ice Palace as well, to view the beautiful ice sculptures (but wear appropriate footwear as it can be very slippery). Try the 200m zipline onto ice and snow also - thrilling. However, to access the zipline, you have to climb a metal staircase on the side of the rock wall for about 100m.
Fortunately, there are landings every 30m or so, as you may require a rest just to suck in some air. Only 20CHF and worth every franc.
A beautiful day up there is perfect conditions, with the camera in overdrive.

We bought the early morning ticket, which comes with a small discount. Ended up avoiding major crowds of tourists and tour groups. It was a journey but well worth it. I would imagine in spring and summer it would be even more extraordinary, as not all of the venues were open (outside). It’s expensive, but well worth it. You can spend a lot of time here. You also see all the infrastructure that went into creating it, so the ticket price can be justified. They have restaurants and cafes along the way.

Campanile San Nicolò, also known as the "matitone" (pencil), is a 96-meter bell tower located next to a church in Lecco. It offers breathtaking panoramic views of Lecco, Lake Como, and the surrounding mountains. While it may not always be open to visitors, reservations can be made in advance for a guided tour that includes an informative explanation of the tower's history. The climb to the top involves 400 steps but rewards visitors with stunning photo opportunities.

Visiting the Campanile San Nicolò is an excellent way to see Lecco and Lake Como. This is Lecco’s top tourist attraction but is not always open. Hopefully, you will be lucky enough to get the opportunity to see it. Reservations can be made in advance. Its a 400-step climb to the top.
I visited the tower on a clear winter day and got some incredible pictures of the lake and surrounding urban and natural landscape.
The climb starts with an iron spiral staircase and then leads to a stone staircase that hugs the wall of the tower. There are several points where the guide stops to talk about the history and construction. The pauses are long enough to catch your breath and rest a moment.
NOTE: To get to the upper terrace you must climb an iron ladder. It’s not for everyone, some people stayed behind on the lower terrace.
The views from the top are spectacular!

Now nothing against the product itself, which may have been good, but I couldn't take it and I was now on the street, heading to work. Maybe I was superficial, but I would have expected a little more attention: I don't expect an ENT visit... (I know very well that I am not at the doctor's and that I have a banal sore throat) but neither do I expect to be dismissed so quickly, rear with little attention. I'm sorry but I can't say I'm satisfied.

Booked a weekend group class(3h/day) for my 6 years old daughter. My daughter was in 6-7kids group and was only English speaker. Group always had 2-3 instructors and at least one always could speak english. All instructors had high communication and learning skills so my daughter never felt uncomfortable. Already after first day my daughter felt confident enough. My daughter enjoyed the class and already asking when is the next trip. Thanks to all team, specially to teachers Laura, Martina, Andrea. Would highly recommend!

Milena provided excellent teaching and communication during the sessions with my son. The ski school was highly responsive to our inquiries, contributing to a positive experience overall. I highly recommend their services.
This impressive church is over a thousand years old and features beautiful frescoes and arches. It's one of the oldest churches in Como, and is definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.
One word for this Basilica... incredible!
The Rev. Fr that walked us through the story of the basilica made it sound and look so lovely. I couldn't help but wonder how the love of God have greatly inspired the generation before us.

Beautiful, peaceful snd completely empty. Much more ancient than the grander Duomo in the centre of Como. There’s beautiful artwork too.

Really lovely church ideal visit off the beaten track no toilet facilities but nearby quaint bar (to left of picture) around corner with helpful and super friendly owner Claudio.

This is the second oldest church according to our guide. Unlike so many churches in Europe, which are often a mixture of various styles, here one finds quite a rather unaltered Romanesque construction.
The Basilica, built in the 11th century over an even older church as has been found out by recent excavations, is aesthetically very pleasing - from the exterior as well as inside. There are also some wall paintings, although they date from the 14th century.
In the middle are the relics of Saint Abbondio, a local bishop, and of two of his successors, rather unknown saints elsewhere. Next to the church is a courtyard, recently restored, which now gets used by the town's university

The church has seen better days, though the front is lovely. It is also nice to get out of the central tourist area. If you are lucky, they host concerts there with nice acoustics.

This is in Como, Italy. One of the oldest churches I have ever seen and it is part of a Monestrie which is now the university of Insubria. Well worth a visit.
The imposing cathedral was built over three centuries and features intricate marble Gothic architecture and a beautiful dome. The interior is decorated with colorful frescoes and intricate tapestries. It's a must-see destination in Como, Italy.
The Cattedrale di S. Maria Assunta di Como is not far from the lake and in the the main square. This cathedral was started in the 1400's and was not completed until the 1600's. They were persistent and it sure paid off as this Cathedral is magnificent, breath taking and awe inspiring. It is so huge it is impossible to capture the entire structure, marble, tapestries, multiple altars, stained glass windows, tombs, statutes and more. I unfortunately didn’t have much time to spend here but was in awe with what I did get to see. If I am ever in the Lake Como area again I would definitely come see it again and spend more time here.

Beautiful Catholic church with great interiors. The place had both gothic and renaissance interiors and there’s a story behind this. Go in and read about the architecture of the place and find out more about this piece of work that took hundreds of years to complete. This is free entry as well but they do ask for donations if you wish to support the church.

Incredibly beautiful old Duomo. Sit in awe of The magnitude of this amazing structure. Everytime I'm in Como, I've spent a few moments in peace here. The glory of The olen days. Woozaa. Remember to touch The lucky frog on your way out.

Believed to be the church is the last gothic church has been made in Italy. The Como Cathedral one must see. Built around 13th hundred and its very beautiful and the inside achitecture is Amazing.

One of the most amazing ceilings I can recall seeing in any cathedral anywhere (and we've seen a lot), worth it for that alone. Otherwise pretty unremarkable but for some contemporary stained glass. There's no compulsory charge for entry, donation only.

much bigger on the inside. Amazing tapestries, sculptures and history inside. surprisingly very brutal and calm. You always get great views of Milan from the roof too. It is always worth a visit, especially as renovation work is continuing. a must visit place in como!

Amaze with the efforts of the people who built the church.

It's an amazing marvel of engineering, steeped in rich history. It's amazing what they achieved. Paintings, stained glass, architectures, it's all wonderful. You always get great views of Milan from the roof too. It is always worth a visit, especially as renovation work is continuing. Grab tickets online and skip the queues. Book an hour in advance and check out the surrounding shops before you go in.

Beautiful cathedral in Como, in a good location. My husband and I ate at the restaurant in front of it, at evening, and we really enjoyed the tranquility of the place and the view.

Free entrance! Also.. Look up! That ceiling definitely humbles you. Walking around the side of the back also allowed for a different and less crowded view.
Central to Como town, this place seems to be a common rendezvous area for people to meet — locals and trousers alike. So, find a place near by to sit and have an afternoon apero and just enjoy the people-watching while you write your postcards!
Do a quick wiki of this place before going. There’s some cool architectural snippets to be had. Good historical landmark!

very beautiful place in the old city of Como. You learn about cathedral's history - might be a medieval example for today's public construction in Germany :-))
Most impressive grand cupola, butxalso many Details as the sun-dial and the stained Glas windows

This is a beautiful church with a long history. The interior is free to enter but donations are welcome. More than most churches, you'll find a lot of panels and historical pieces showcasing the church. The context helps a lot and makes it a better learning experience. The outside is wonderfully detailed, but the best part is that you can interact with parts of the old foundation! A side of the church that was excavated is open for viewing, seating, and appreciation. It's a great stop on your way around town.

Beautiful church in the heart of Como.
The facade looks rather simple, but it is still magnificent.
The interiors are well made, even if not too crowded.
There is even a part of the church dedicated for people who want to think and pray.
Definitely a nice stop if you are in town.

The botanical garden of Villa Melzi d'Eril is a beautiful place with statues, lakeside paths, and a villa on the grounds. It is a great place to visit if you are interested in plants and flowers.
It was named the most beautiful garden of Italy in 2016 and it deserve the label. It is a must do in Bellagio.
Such a beautiful, peaceful place.
The view is simply stunning.
There is a museum.
Plants have labels to identify their names and origins.

Beautiful gardens, recommend to visit it in the afternoon when the sun is high and the villa and the garden are well sunlit. We visit it in the morning. Also it is good that the tickets are valid all day so you can go in and out as much as you want.

Wedding photographer's perspective: We've shot here a couple of pre weddings sessions and it has always been a beautiful experience. The architecture of this villa is a great frame for elegant pictures and the gardens are simply a paradise on earth. They are super wide so that even if the location is crowded it's still possible to find private spots for photography. The light at sunset here makes everything magical and cinematic. Our couples have always loved exploring this villa. The fee for shooting here is one of the cheapest on the lake, making choosing Villa Melzi an obvious choice 10/10!!

Lovely well maintained gardens with excellent information to aid the experience. I was expecting more flowers, however there was mostly trees. The museum was informative with easily digestible reading. Great views overlooking lake Como.

Villa Melzi is one of the highlights of lake como.
Inside here you can find manicured and beautiful lawns; a chapel at the end of the garden, the villa itself with unique symmetry architecture, and a small anti-aquarium house.
The villa’s beauty will strike at your heart with its beauty.
The villa has an interesting history; especially on its ownership origins till today and is worth a read.
Seen in the attached photos is a map of the villa.
In the chapel are incredibly ornate marble sculptures; seen in the attached video is one example of marble sculpted to look like fabric.

One of the most beautiful places and gardens I’ve seen. It’s clean, the staff is constantly working to keep it gorgeous. Definitely worth a visit. I enjoyed very much taking a walk in the garden.

Had such higher expectations but unfortunately was disappointed. It's a nice place with a variety of flower and exotic plants but not much else.
The museum is basically one room with a few statues.
The yard/garden has beautiful views but definitely not worth 8 euros per person. The aquarium is almost non-existent.
It has a few decent buildings, one which is still occupied by a resident.
Overall great for a stroll but not much to see other than different types of trees and plants.
Mostly used by newly-weds for wedding pictures.

The gardens of the Melzi Villa are huge pretty, and actually pretty basic. The number of trees and unique plants is fun, but you're not going to see any elaborate floral arrangements or planting patterns. For example, the Japanese section is an unexpected treat, but the water inside the pond was was very dirty and unwelcoming. I'm not sure €8 is worth the entry price, at least not in August (maybe other months have different plants in season). It takes twenty minutes to walk from the ferry port to the front gate so budget that time into your day. You'll spend maybe a hour in the gardens.
Michael Barton — Google review
Beautifully manicured and well taken care of gardens. The house and chapel are in terrific shape. Wonderful plant and tree specimens throughout. Make sure to bring water as there are no services other than a WC.
Mark LoGiurato — Google review
A very spectacular garden with beautiful landscaping. There are 2 interior buildings which are accessible, the museum and the chapel. The house is closed off which is understandable since it's actually somebody's house. I felt very lucky to be able to see the garden itself.
The museum is interesting and takes you through the ownership of the house over time,.and key events that happened there. It also gave me some perspective on the Napoleonic and Austrian periods.
Arriving here is a short pleasant walk along the promenade from the boat stop, very easy to get to. Set aside at least an hour since even though the garden may not look huge, it's actually pretty big. Bring water. Note that to appreciate many hiddem parts of the gardens you will need to walk up steep hills, but you can still enjoy much of it from the main, flat, walkway.

Beautiful garden area and a lot to explore, there’s a small chapel, a lot of nature, places to take photos and access to the lake near the end. It costed around 8 euros per person and its free for under twelve years old. Definitely a must visit for at least 3 hours (most of the time at the lake and walking) for your day trip to Bellagio to visit Lake Como.
toulan khouqeer — Google review
Garden was nice with a map for all the monuments and trees. 8 euro per person seemed a little high as the place was rather small and didn't offer much to look at except a nice view of the mountains and a couple landmarks on the property. I understand landscaping is a tedious job to maintain a property I just expected more. Not bad but not great

Beautiful gardens just on the bank of the lake in Bellagio. The walk and landscape is beautiful. Although they call Villa it is more the view of the lake and the lush gardens are the experience. Typically you walk from one to another and back to Bellagio and can take an hour. The entrance fees are 8€ and free for kids.
The Villa del Balbianello is a grand 18th century villa which has been used by filmmakers including James Bond and Star Wars. The gardens are quite beautiful and are popular among tourists.
What an experience!!!
My husband had been wanting to visit for a long time due to his love of movies in particular Star Wars & 007.
We visited the locations where the movies were filmed and wandered around the whole surroundings.
Villa del Balbianello is breathtaking, do yourself a favour and go!
Side note: We caught the private water taxi here and that helped capture some of these gorgeous shots due to the better access spot for drop off.

Charming Villa on top of a small hill which enjoys marvellous views of lake Como. The trees, the plants, the flowers, the rockery, the variety of natural landscapes and man-made pathways is simply amazing. Fascinating history of the place, full of twists and turns until the last owner died and donated it to a National Trust. The architecture blends in beautifully with the complexity of the natural landscape surrounding the villa. Almost a fairytale place, unsurprisingly used as a cinema set for some very famous movies. Not to be missed!

Amazing villa to visit which was one of our highlights during our stay in Lake Como. Be prepared for a 20 minute walk uphill or alternatively you can get a boat to take you around to the other entrance. Highly recommend attending early so it is quiet for you to walk around the gardens. Also the guided tour of the interior was really good and insightful, highly recommend doing that as well.

Beautiful place! Went round the gardens as hadn't pre-booked a tour inside. If you struggle walking definitely choose the shorter 20-minute route through the park to the entrance as the longer 40-minute route if very steep and rough terrain. Bus C10 takes you pretty close to the park. As a Star Wars fan this was so worth a visit for the famous arch and balcony. The views are incredible too. Would recommend if in Lake Como.

I had one incredible experience visiting this fabulous Villa. FAI does an incredible job, as always. The tour guide (in English) was really nice! So so glad we booked the day out here! If you have the opportunity book a guided tour as you can go inside, and it went through the history which was so interesting. The gardens are gorgeous, extremely well kept, and were very fun to explore. There's a small ice cream place within which was nice as it can get hot, but I would love to visit this again!

I only took the gardens tour. From the outside the villa looked small so i waant't disappointed. The gardens are really beautiful with nice views of surrounding towns. What a wonderful place to visit. This villa and it’s beautiful garden are one of the most beautiful places I have visited.
The tour guides are lovely, so informative about the owner, the contents and their admiration for the man who owned it. Totally fascinating story of this explorers life and his residence.

Well worth a trip to see the gardens with its views across the bays from every outlook.

One of the more interesting villas in all of Lake Como. The full guided tour was absolutely worth its price. The view was also fantastic, being surrounded by lakes at almost all its surroundings.
However needs a 1 to 2km walk in from the entrance, so do plan in advance.

First of all, the walk is long and exhausting because of the hilly nature of the road.
So i recommend you to use the boat, its right in the water side walk .
You will reach in few minutes, and right at the Villa .

Parking was completely full, so we had to find another place around 5 min. from the start of the trail. Getting to the villa is quite a hike as it is very steep and takes around 15-20 min. As soon as we arrived, we were able to skip the long line as we had already prebooked. The villa and grounds are absolutely beautiful and very well maintained. Can definitely recommend this place if you want to take pictures of pretty Lake Como as well.

A beautiful villa by the lake. Two type of tickets for you to choose, one with guided tour into the villa and the other can only access the garden area. I recommend you to take a guided tour to learn more history about this villa, and you could see many antiques collected by the owner. The garden is as beautiful as you can see on pictures, and especially on sunny days, it’s also the filming place of star war and James Bond. Transportation to here from Milan is easy, just take the regional train to varenna and then the ferry.

Beautiful experience visiting the well taken care of gardens. If you walk from town be prepared to hike up hill in many spots and remember to bring water. I recommend taking the boat over for older folks. There is a book shop on site that sells water. Get tickets in advance to the gardens as it can get busy.

I think it's just an incredible place! It looks especially beautiful from the water, so be sure to try to rent a boat or take a cruise on a tourist boat. It's definitely worth it! The Villa del Balbianello has been beautifully preserved for centuries. The grounds are very well-maintained, and so are all of the buildings. It is a bit of a hike to get to it from the entrance, but just treat it as a leisurely stroll. You could easily spend a half a day on your visit.
Be sure and arrange a tour of the house or you will really miss out. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the history of the place and the lives of the people who lived here.

This place is absolutely stunning. I went to both the garden and the villa (guided tour), and it was amazing. The villa was huge, great for taking pictures of scenery and yourself. The atmosphere gave out old money vibes, loved it. The tour guide who showed us inside the villa was really friendly and patient with us as well. The only downside was that it was a one hell of a hike before you can reach the destination ( a good workout though). Definitely worth a visit if you’re ever in Lake Como. 😎

This villa is famous for its beautiful architecture, gardens, breathtaking panoramic views of Lake Como, and the surrounding mountains.
The Villa Carlotta museum houses one of the most renowned gardens in Italy. The garden was designed by Gian Battista Sommariva and is a reflection of reason surrounded by its more romantic counterpart, the flashy theater of the following century. The art collection inside the museum is renowned for its many works by famous artists such as Canova, David, and Throvaldsen.
Fantastic villa on the shore of Lake Como with stunning views across the lake from both the museum and the garden. This Villa contains superb gardens and an excellent museum of the villa itself. The museum is large with lots of room to move around. It also has lots of different rooms, art, artifacts and antiques to see but my favourite part was walking around the very large garden.
Well worth a visit

Try going in the morning so you have more time exploring as the garden is pretty big. It also has picnic spots so it’s a great place to spend a day on when visiting lake como. Has fantastic lake views, the villa itself is gorgeous, but the garden is a botanical one with many cool plants. Has a bamboo jungle which is magical.
There’s free parking down the villa & there are elevators to take you up in the garden & upper floors of the villa, right outside of the villa in the south.
Absolutely recommend a visit, so worth the price (15€ adults)

Beautiful Villa, beautiful gardens and a lovely walk on a perfect spring day. The cafe and toilets were open. I would recommend 2-3 hours for a leisure walk around the gardens before finishing at the museum (which ends in the villa and gift shop). We parked 400mtrs before reaching the villa in a paid parking place which we were lucky to get some space in. There are some decent restaurants and places to eat walking distance from the villa. There is a ferry stop across the villa and that takes you to Bellagio (another beautiful place which is a must visit).

We loved this place! The garden was amazing with different species from all over the world. So cool that they are able to thrive in Italy due to the microclimates around Lake Como. The villa had beautiful views of the lake and offered many opportunities for great photos. The café inside had a decent selection of food and drinks, although slightly overpriced.

Love it and hate it:) it was a great walk, very nice and scenic. Very poorly marked trying to exit. You need to really read the map as there is only one exit sign, and it's not at the exit. It is very confusing for most of the people there. Plan on about 4 hrs if you want to do the whole thing. There are signs that say 75 minutes for the full walk, maybe, probably not. Add an extra 30 minutes to find the exit. Think only 3 people work there, so you are on your own. Overall, it's a really great place with poor sinage.

The gardens are set in wonderful grounds, lots of it are not accessible for wheelchair users as it is very up and down.

Beautiful villa with huge well kept garden. It has some old furniture dating back to the old times but also a collection of cutlery and crockery which don’t relate to the families who once lived there. In that respect villa Necchi in Milan is far more interesting. If you visit in the afternoon the sun has turned and you can take beautiful pictures from the balcony of the lake scenery.

Villa Carlotta is such a beautiful and peaceful place. The vast garden with the numerous flowers is absolutely breathtaking and the museum (inside of the Villa) is spacious and very lightning. I thought the place was smaller and that the visit would have been shorter but you have to take at least 45 min to 1 hour for the short visit (main garden tour and museum) and 1 hour 30 min to 2 hours for the big visit with all the garden.
It is clean, not too crowdy and I believe that Spring time offers the best images with the colorful flowers and trees everywhere. Don't hesitate !

The grounds are nice, however not easy to walk with a child and not wheelchair or pushchair friendly.
The main floor of the house is worth a quick visit but the other floors are not. The rooms are tiny and filled with minimal artifacts and furniture.
Worth a visit if in the area but your not missing out on much if you view from the lake.
The gardens are impressive from the Napoleon era.

Villa Carlotta Gardens in Lake Como, Italy, is an absolute gem. The lush botanical paradise captivated me with its exquisite beauty. Strolling through the meticulously maintained gardens, I was surrounded by a stunning array of plants, flowers, and ancient trees. The view of Lake Como from the villa's terraces is simply breathtaking, providing a serene backdrop for a leisurely visit.
The historical significance of Villa Carlotta, with its art collection and charming villa, adds depth to the experience. I was particularly moved by the art and sculptures on display, which offered a glimpse into the rich history of this place.
Also nice: doga were allowed to enter the gardens for a nice family walk. The longest red route is about 1 hour.

Villa Carlotta is a lovely botanical garden with so many different varieties of plants. There is such diversity in the fauna and flora growing here. For example, they have a rhododendron section, a succulent and cactus garden, a fern garden, and so many others. The layout of this garden has been planned by a mastermind., and many walking past throughout the garden. The villa itself has beautiful architecture and art inside. A lovely little oasis right on the waterfront and very close to the water ferry drop off.
The fortress of Fuentes is one of the few remaining Spanish relics in the north of Lake Como. It was built in the 17th century and used as a stronghold during wars and culture clashes. The ruins are now a popular tourist destination, with a great view of the surrounding hills.
To be honest there isn't much left from the fort itself given its age but it's absolutely worth going there for the stunning views and what the fort builders needed to go through to get everything up there. Consider also the fact that they had no water source in the fort so all water needed to continuously be transported there with mules.

(Translated by Google) Very little is left of this originally Spanish fort from 1603. This was reportedly destroyed by (yes, there it is again) Napoleon and his army... It was then further demolished to serve as building material for the 8-cannon anti-aircraft gun that was built there around the time of the First World War .
The downside to me was that there were very few descriptions of the remains of the fort, only the descriptions of the main buildings were described.
But all in all, well worth a visit.
(Original)
Forte Montecchio Nord is an open air museum that was a military stronghold during World War I. Visitors can take guided tours and enjoy views of Lake Como from the gun platform. The bilingual tour guides provide interesting information about the fort's history, including its indirect role in Mussolini's death. This attraction is perfect for history enthusiasts who want to learn more about military forts and their significance during wartime.
Interesting and in-depth tour of a unique WW1 fort. Luca, our guide, gave us a tour in English (not his first language) and was very knowledgeable, passionate and charming. You really get to understand the story of the fort. Recommended.

Superb example of WW1 defensive thinking, augmented today by people in uniform. Astounded to see that the original canon are maintained and can be moved as smoothly as they day they were made. Even the munitions hoists worker.
Richard M Marshall — Google review
It's all right. Nothing to write home about. If you have relatives living inside the fortress and you're going to visit the, then by all means take a look at it.
The Tour guid(ess) was excellent and fluently made the tour bilingual in IT/EN.
Spoiler: in the end Mussolini dies. So one more star for the fort, that was indirectly resposible for it. At least according to the relatives, that live inside the fortress.
Dj Tra — Google review
Remarkably well preserved fort with excellent views from the gun platform, only a short walk from Colico station. It has an interesting history and the wider conflict around a lesser well front (to me at least) of the First World War compared to the more widely known battles of the Western Front was also an eye opener.
Our guide was very knowledgeable, impressively conducting the tour in multiple languages whilst still finding time to accommodate each set of guests and answer questions.
When we visited you couldn't just roam the site freely, you had to join a tour, so check what times the tours run to avoid disappointment.
A wholly unexpected discovery in this region, definitely worth a visit.

Well worth the visit. I really enjoyed the tour and views. They offered several different languages for the tour, which was a great bonus to for people.

Sadly I didn't have enough time to read anything on the borads to get the information I wanted to, as we needed to press on with the tour guide, but he continued on explaining in 34 sentences in italian and 2 in english. At that continued with every stop.
A cool experience but improve in that please. :)

A beautiful palace in the rular part of Chiavenna. Summer house of a noble family that had a great relevance in the area and in the north of Italy.
Particularly interesting facts about history of the place and the city, plus our guide gave as lots of details about facts and important people that stayed in the house as guests. Didn't imaging that could be so much in a little city close to the alps. Suggest getting a guide it is very interesting. The house is fully furbished with original decoration and furniture, even a room that was arranged for a visit of Napoleon. All kept in exceptional conditions. It is not huge and from the outside you wouldn't expect too much but it is quite the opposite. There is a famous working Vyne that makes a very famous wine among the best 100 in the world.

Falconeria Locarno is a lush park that showcases shows and demonstrations featuring an array of raptors such as eagles, hawks, vultures and more. The exhibition offers an opportunity for visitors to witness these magnificent birds flying very close, sometimes even right next to them. It is situated near the lake and surrounded by many little shops and restaurants. The plaza hosts film and food festivals which attract tourists from all over to witness its beauty. Visitors can explore the narrow streets around it and indulge in some gelato while enjoying the stunning view of the lake from one of its many bars or restaurants.
Typical town near a lake as always beautiful. It is typical for its little restaurants and bar with an amazing view on the lake. Locarno is absolutely one of destinations to see near maggiore lake

Very nice, wide Plaza with ancient cobblestone and colorful historic fasades. Close to the lake, many little shops and restaurants. A real gem in the histories centre of Locarno. There's not that much around but the Piazza grande is well worth the visit. Make sure to check out the narrow streets around it and to get some gelato. The place was occupied by a large screen at one end due to the movie festival, so its full glory was covered partly.

Please note my comments are based primarily around our film festival experience within this space.
It’s early August and the Locarno Film Festival is in full flow, the centrepiece is the Piazza Grande, where up to 8000 people per night gather to watch movies on one of the world’s biggest screens.
It’s an experience you are unlikely to forgot, to share those moments with thousands of strangers, it’s kind of amazing and incredibly cool.
I love the environment here, who says cinema is dead when so many gather to watch films both big and small.
Loved it each night as bats made their way across the screen, maybe they were watching.

The events that Locarno organizes are simply amazing. Winterland at Piazza Grande was well organized, great skating and shopping opportunities, and the videomapping fairy tale was fabulous. Many thanks to the organizers, I am looking forward to more such events in Locarno!

Visited Lugano this weekend and have to say it is beautiful but there is not much to do. My advice is to take a boat tour. Or if you visiting that part of Italy then go further to Ticino. Lugano has its charm but I would not spend here more than an hour. Go up the steps to see the best view from the top.

A quick drive from Italy, where we were staying, took us over the border into Switzerland, specifically Ascona. It's a lovely, clean town, with many good looking hotels and restaurants along a beautiful lakefront. The scenery is breathtaking and, despite the heat, the lake give you that fresh feeling. Ascona is the sister city of New Orleans and there is a free annual jazz festival which, sadly, we missed by a couple of days. This town is well worth a visit..........we even made use of the 18 hole, tree-shaded, crazy golf course, just off the lake front, before we left......I won't tell you how many shots Sarah won by!!!

Ascona lakeside is a magical place. It can be reached easily from the southern part of the village. If you arrive by car I suggest to choose a close Autosilo/ parking place.
You can walk through the older part of Ascona and at the end you will come out right fron of the lakeside. You can find there lake Maggiore and many restaurants. You can sit down on the benches or make a great photo with Grand tour of Switzerland photospot
Madonna del Sasso is a Roman Catholic pilgrimage site established in 1480 after an alleged appearance of the Virgin Mary to a monk, Bartolomeo dIvrea. The sanctuary boasts a highly adorned church and several near-life-size statue groups depicting key moments in Jesus's life. Additionally, visitors can enjoy the beautiful landscape surrounding the church. Notable paintings inside include La fuga in egitto by Bramantino from 1522.
Just beautiful 🤩❤️ it is really and exceptional view, you should enjoy. What is recommend is definitely walk downstairs from it towards Muralto - you will enjoy stunning paths and streets and views!

It was a lovely experience to visit the church and museum. You take the venichular up and back and that was easy. The museum is free to enter and includes nice artworks and interesting items from the past that have been used in church life. You are able to attend mass here too. The church was full of art. This is a really nice activity to understand the history of this very special place.

Beautiful cathedral located at a hill near Locarno . It is accessible by car or train, but you need to take the stairs to reach it. Not suitable if you have trouble with walking/stair. The view is stunning and specially at a sunny day. The view of Lago maggiore is spectacular.

Interesting and very well preserved place above the roofs of Locarno with a spactacular view over the city and the lake. Pleasant to discover all its little stairways and hallways. Make sure to check out the church itself with its beautifully painted ceiling. Also have a look at the upper stairs up to the main street above, if you want to score some great pics with the lake and the mountains in the background, or even the building itself as a nice background for a cool portrait of you bird.

The Sanctuary of the Madonna del Sasso in Orselina is one of the most important historical and religious sites in the Canton of Ticino, resting on a scenic rock spur, built following the apparition of the Madonna in 1480. It can be reached on foot from the center of Locarno and walking the Via Crucis, through a path immersed in a fascinating natural setting, you reach the church, from which you can enjoy a fantastic view of the Locarno area, the lake and the surrounding mountains.

Modern quarters in a casual 19th-century hotel offering free breakfast & entrance to a mineral spa.
Only eat at the restaurant. Very good food, enjoyed every course of the menu. Staff was very friendly and hospitality minded, when I asked the lady for an umbrella because of the rain she came with one of the hotel, perfect, brought it back the next day at the reception. And the guy who helped us, he is made for the hospitality industry, he knows how to deal with customers.

Natasha Korol — Google review
True, this is a lovely steep mountain valley with a river tumbling through it and the occasional waterfall coming from a side valley. Its easy accessibility brings some spoiles though. There is the rather busy road running all along the valley on or just above the river banks. There are the crowds coming up the valley to see the sights. Then there are the parking lots at the sights-to-see, which fill up quickly during the day. There's only parking at these lots, everything else is private property, which also makes part of the valley floor inaccessible for the general public. A hiking path runs all along the valley, but the road is never far away. The upper part of the valley is more scenic than the lower part, with crowds thinning out after the famous Roman bridge. We appreciated this part of the valley best. Sonogne at the head of the valley is beautifully situated and a good place for walks in a less spoiled atmosphere. An overnight stay at Familienhotel Campagna just before the end of the valley is recommended, nice scenery, good food and very friendly owners.

Nestled in the heart of Vals, 7132 Hotel is a contemporary and stylish retreat offering an array of amenities. Indulge in unadulterated culinary experiences at Red, where timeless classics like crepes Suzette are flambeed tableside. The hotel's luxe spa boasts quartzite walls and offers rejuvenating treatments like the highly recommended deep muscle massage. While some find the rooms a bit small, they appreciate the welcoming team and creative cuisine at Silver restaurant.
Great hotel experience. Amazing staff, delicious food and stylish interior.

I loved everything about this dining experience. The flavors, textures and presentation was phenomenal. The staff connected us with their food and storytelling. This is a review of the 5 star hotel across 2 stays in 2020 and 2022.
Service:
I requested a transfer from another local hotel and this was the perfect way to get to 7132. It came within a short period of time and spared me the walk up to the hotel with ski equipment. The chauffeur also helped me store my equipment in their ski room so my boots would dry properly. This short distance transfer was included as part of my room charge, which was a complete surprise to me.
Breakfast extras are included (egg dishes, pancakes, etc.), where they are not in the House of Architects. I recommend trying out the breakfast muffin.
I forgot an item in the room and they quickly packaged it up and shipped it to my home in Switzerland. This was an above-and-beyond service to me because they emailed me back within minutes of asking them about the item.
Lastly, I have used the room service for before-dinner drinks. They surprised me with a small snack and dip that was more than I expected for a gratis apero snack.
Single Room: Excellent size for 1 person with a giant king size bed. Heard nothing the entire stay except some minor noise from the hallway in the morning from the breakfast cart which unfortunately woke me, however I'm a light sleeper at higher altitude. I think the shower could use someplace to hold bottles so I don't have to store them on the floor. Finally, I was really happy with the excellent view from this room and woke up to a great view of the mountains.
Penthouse Suite: We got lucky and were able to use a suite for one evening as part of an ongoing promotion. It is one of 3 private apartments overlooking the thermal bath and the mountains across the valley. Privacy is assured with full blackout curtains. Uniquely there is a soaking tub facing the windows, large enough for 2 people. Also unique to Switzerland is a top-of-the-line toto toilet that is completely self-cleaning and features washlet & heated seat. These rooms were extremely quiet. Highly recommended if you can afford it or gain access to this room through a promotion.
Both rooms featured fresh flowers.

Receptionists, Spa staffs were ver professional and I liked a lot!
However. unfortunately not 5star hotel standard. nice concept, but seems like not completely finished the renovation. Restaurant Red service was quite uncomfortable. Many guests were couples and still they serve Super onion smelly gazpacho as amuse bouche. Did they do on purpose…? They didn’t offer wine menu, and they charged 18francs per a local red wine which is less than 50francs a bottle. 12francs for Limoncello per glass which tasted like a soap… I didn’t have chance to give comments nor get them changed since the staff rarely came back since they finish serving us.
The breakfast option is poor unfortunately. It’s ok not having enough staffs, or still training. But then they should think of how to compensate.
I was expecting much more, and really looked forward to my stay. so it turned out very disappointing…Hope they will change for better soon🙏🏽

What a spectacular place - inside and out! Definitely one of the best 5* hotels in Switzerland!
We enjoyed very much our stay at the 7132 hotel in Vals, located in a cozy and authentic Swiss mountain village not too far from Zurich and easy accessible by car. The hotel has a nice interior design, contemporary and elegant at the same time, with a special Swiss touch. We felt very welcome when we entered the hotel and the reception is placed in a discrete corner, so you kind of feel like entering a huge mansion.
The employees were professional and helpful at all times and are also open for a little chat. We had a spa deluxe room in the main building! The rooms are very modern and offer everything you need, and much more. The huge balcony with a village and mountain view is spectacular and the shower can be also used as a steam bath. The eye-catcher was definitely the round bath tube in the middle of the room. Don’t miss to go to the thermal bath, just a few stories down – you will enter to a masterpiece of architecture.
The highlight was definitely the midnight swim the hotel offers to its guests on selected days of the week. To eat you have various choices; from delicious pizzas to culinary delights created by Head Chef Mitja Pirlo. We enjoyed very much the delicious breakfast the following morning (I highly recommend to try the egg Florentine) with fresh bred from the hotel’s own bakery. Just yummieeeee!!!
One night is definitely not enough and we will be back again to enjoy this exclusive 5-star hotel and Vals to the fullest.

Tried the course meal with wine pairing last year. Although the food is tasty and technically well done, it feels somehwat too pretentious at times (a shot of carbonized water, really?). The localness of the ingredients is highlighted in certain dishes just to be completely overthrown in the next dish by an Asian course. Lacking the red line I experienced with other fine-dining restaurants. The wine pairing is just not worth the buck in my opinion - some very ordinary wines.

Me and my girlfriend went there in mid-December and there was not much people, which is was very appreciated.
The snow was fresh of a couple of days, so we could enjoy a very nice view from the out-door pool.
The facility itself is great, but maybe not as fancy as it is advertised: it did not feel special.
Recommended if you are at the hotel or if you are already in Vals and you want to spend 4 hours relaxing.
Not worth it if you go there from far away (Zürich)

My husband and I chose to celebrate our anniversary in 7132 hotel. This hotel was an ideal place for us especially because I'm an architect and from an architectural point of view, I've been attracted to the 7132 hotel for a long time.
The offer which I chose is published on hotel website as "once in a lifetime" included a complete package of several things such as breakfast, dinner, accommodation for two nights in the Penthouse, a helicopter stop on the glacier, etc. The complete package was for two people for a certain price.
We have ordered all the activities provided by this package, knowing that we will pay the price at which it is stated.
When we paid our bill, we found out that the bill was eventually much higher than advertised.
At the reception they told us that we did not order our stay in hotel as a "once in a lifetime" package, despite the fact that everything in the package contained our order. Even after long speculation and documenting emails with communication, they left us the price exorbitant and not at the price at which they offer this package. The answer from receptionist, and both of the managers was same - we understand, but we can not do anything about it. Very disappointing for 5 star hotel expectation and treatment. We felt completely robbed.
The hotel and especially the spa is really beautiful, the staff will do everything for you. That is, until you have your bill issued. If you visit the hotel, I recommend that you have all the items in your account written in advance before you go.

Here is my review which is mixed. The thermal bath experience was incredible as I imagined it would be. The hotel was a disappointment. I have been to a lot of 5 star hotels and quite frankly 7132 does not deserve this rating. While some staff were welcoming many others were very rude which is unacceptable. The hotel room (Ando) was very impressive. However the decor and vibe of common areas of the hotel were subpar at best. The decor was semi dated and not at all in harmony with the beauty of the surrounding landscape at all which was a giant mistake and missed opportunity. My experience at the treatment spa made me feel extremely taken advantage of. Please do not charge over $125 for a manicure (no polish) that took place in an actual a supply closet. I was so angry about absurdity that it pretty much ruined one day. We needed a 9 minute ride at one point and were told that would cost $70 there and $70 back which was absolutely ridiculous and insulting. A total money grab that made me feel taken advantage of again. Lastly the hotel refused to serve coffee until 7:30 and no coffee maker was available in room or anywhere. Ridiculous and not worthy of 4 stars much less 5. Like I said the thermal bath experience was incredible but sadly the hotel was terribly disappointing to say the least.

My husband and I recently visited 7132 Therme for the second time and had a fantastic experience. It is a lovely place to go for a romantic mini-break.
The Therme bad itself is a wonderful experience and I loved being there again. The design and architecture are incredible and create a very special atmosphere, I would recommend anyone to visit.
The staff at 7132 are also fantastic, most recently I was impressed by Hannalore on the spa reception who was extremely helpful and gave me great recommendations on products. Even when she was under pressure due to one of the therapists calling in sick she dealt professionally with grumpy a customer that was complaining about their treatment getting moved and she did everything she could to try and fit me in with a different therapist.
The only reason I don't give a five is because of the main restaurant and the bar. I really would love to see an update to the menu that includes some modern takes on Swiss classics. It is also too expensive - 26chf for two spoons of guacamole and some crackers is daylight robbery!! Finally, the cocktails at the bar are not acceptable - I really think the 7132 team should consider getting a dedicated bar tender who is trained to mix drinks well and choose good spirits.
Overall 7132 is an incredible place to stay and we will definitely be back! The staff and the architecture are the stars!

During the last glaciation (which ended about 12,000 years ago), the Antigorio Valley was occupied by the extensive Toce Glacier. Countless streams flowed downstream of it, which over time have eroded the rock, generating narrow valleys and meandering gorges. With the retreat of the glaciers, the streams also withdrew and left what are today the Orridi di Uriezzo. Currently, in fact, the watercourses no longer flow within them and it is therefore possible to visit them easily on foot.
is one of the most attractive canyons in Piedmont

The "Orridi di Uriezzo" are deep gorges "dug" into the rock by streams that once flowed from the glacier that occupied the Formazza Valley. The walls are carved by the swirling motion of water and violent waterfalls. In some places they are so closed to each other that you cannot see the sky, forming niches and grooves.

For just 8 Euros you can spend an hour in the naturally heated baths, both inside and out (looking at the mountains). There are several timed jets and water spouts to massage your shoulders and limbs.
Don't forget to bring a bathing cap which is mandatory. There are spas with steam rooms saunas and massages too, for an extra charge of course, which we will try next time.
A fantastic way to follow a tiring walk to the tops of the surrounding waterfalls (some of the route is by ladder) and past old quarry workers' stone huts.

I wanted to spend a nice day with my boyfriend to relax but it wasn't possible. It was full of little children who were yelling around and there were to people around, it felt like we were in a fun park , we were running around to catch a seat / place . Most of the hairdryers didn't work and the staff were rude when we asked how to reach the outside pool. We have spent 114€ for 2 from 12:00 to 16:00 , we took the full package which includes the entrance to the pool and sauna with relax room and tea room . Everything was timed , 2 hours in the pool and 2 in the sauna with relax room and tea room . The tea room had biscuits and crackers and tea etc.but there wasn't enough for everybody and the lady didn't fill it up so it was empty the whole time . Also I saw some reviwes in which some were saying that it was very clean , not really , I sat in the sauna and "found" balls of hairs ,not to talk about the floor that was dirty brown and I felt very uncomfortable to walk in the sauna without them even if it was prohibited . I give 2 stars only for the waterfall. My opinion is that the price is to high for what they offer but if you want to spent some time with your family or in a group of friends it's ok but NOT TO RELAX

Very remote and worth a drive. Like stepping back in time as you walk through the village around the spa. Both my husband and I had excellent massages and the pool was warm and wonderful. Can’t wait to go back!

What a wonderful place. Swimming and enjoying warm water surrounded by a stunning alpine scenery! Keep up the good work and maintain the standards. I wish there was still the underwater music.

Wonderful location in the mountains of Piemonte. Facilities are clean, very well maintained.
The outside bath is my favorite.
