Huge and a very natural park. Gets a little windy because there is some height compared to the city.
Have different kinds of birds, they're pretty.
There is also a water museum inside but it is mostly fun for children.

Huge nice park with ponds and a cool waterfall. Not always flat: the roads go up and down. A small water museum nearby.

Great park, as a kid I have been visiting this park pretty regular, now I visit it with my son. It has a nice little waterfall, you can walk through a tunnel beneath the water. It has Deers, in the weekends they have all sorts of activities.

A nice place with lots of open space, forest, water, and even animal sightseeing. There are several places to grab some food and drinks to go or have a seat inside or on the terrace. Great place to escape the city while it is just a few minutes out.

Heaven on earth. Absolute paradise, and I have been to a lot of beautiful places. I would come back in every season so I could see this place change. Just look at the photos I made and you will understand. Most beautiful park in the Netherlands.
Eti Shchori — Google review
This is the most beautiful park I have seen in the entire Netherlands. Also there is a paid toilet still using coins unfortunately. There are also few restaurants inside this park, I only recommend the “stadsvilla sonsbeek” specially for dinner.
Larissa Bittencourt — Google review
Nice park near the central station. A lot of ducks which was amazing. Unfortunately not a lot of benches under trees where you can hide from the sun in the summer. But overall good place to take a morning run or walk with your dog.
The Netherlands Open Air Museum features traditional Dutch buildings and transport exhibits with costume guides. Visitors can spend one night in Arnhem and choose between the Airborne Museum and the Open Air Museum.
Amazing place to visit, especially when the weather is good. A lot of old houses form Netherlands collected in one place, perfect to learn about Dutch history. Very kids friendly, with dedicated paly ground and tram line around the whole park. Located on the outskirts of Arnhem on the hills and surrounded by woods. Kind of a must-see in Netherlands.
Piotr K. — Google review
This wonderful open air museum is a fascinating experience to be enjoyed. Be sure to start your trip with a ride on the tram so that you have an idea of what the museum has to offer. Each tram stop beings you to a different themed village. It is astonishing to see how the Netherlands have evolved over time and the way we live. There is so much detail given to the history of the buildings and the actors also help to enhance the overall experience. We unfortunately went on a very wet day so we did not see everything there was to offer. The facilities are great and clean. There are ramps for those in wheelchairs. There is a lovely gift shop at the entrance information centre.
Roger Long — Google review
Very nice museum, really interesting and diverse collection. Loved that there are actors who recreate what life used to look like. I found them to be very friendly and open for questions. Sadly a lot of the information was only available in Dutch, so something to keep in mind. But even so, very interesting.
Andra Maciuca — Google review
There is a lot to see here, with many facilities and is an excellent place for families. The tram route is also handy if you need it. Well worth a visit.
I have removed a star, as paying €8 for parking on top of €22 tickets per adult is daylight robbery
Tom (Bozz) — Google review
The food and drinks are on the expensive side of the spectrum, but the view is amazing the staff is very friendly and I highly recommend this place during summer times when all the plants are blooming.
Other than that it is a very informative place to have a little peek into history.

A nice way to get in touch with Dutch culture and look into the past. The museum is huge and you can spend the whole day there and still not have enough time see everything. It's a wonderful place for people of all ages and it is also pet friendly.
Karen Greyling — Google review
It didn't expect it to be so large and so rich of contents. From what I've seen from google, it seems like a fun destination. A destination where a family can enjoy together. Yes it is. But, it's much more than that. It basically tells you how Dutch people lived in the past, both the beauty and the ugliness. The sites are rather simple, but they tell the story well.
Me and my wife always walk slowly in a museum to understand what is the story and what are the interesting facts. We always walk with google in our hand to understand the context. For this particular museum, it's exhausting and time consuming to do so since it's so large. So, go twice or thrice!

Awesome place to learn more about the Netherland, the history, culture and tradition, or just to stroll around enjoying the beautiful scenery. There are varieties of building, from windmills to houses that replicate certain era along with detailed explanation and activities inside. Me and family really love the experience of visiting this place multiple times.

The museum is special and very fun to get around. Nice to walk around and get back in the tram. Except a playground in the middle there weren’t many activities for young ones. The guides and demonstrations are all in dutch so wouldn’t recommend for young kids from out of country.

A brief and detailed glimpse to the history of the Dutch people. This place has all the real 1:1 replicas of the houses, people lived in. Farmhouses, cheese factory, blacksmith and more. There are also live demos of actors which help to demonstrate the lifestyle that was back then.
The place also has a small train which circles the whole park, and stops on each interest point, the children loved it. We spent here half a day, some people spend here almost the entire day, depends on the ages of the children. There is also a children’s place where the can run and climb, in front of it you can find a small restaurant which offers soups, beer, wine and more
Slava Mironov — Google review
An absolute marvel! Great visitors centre, café staff and gift shop and that's before you become completely involved in the surroundings, trams buildings and history that exudes from every angle and exhibit. We could easily taken a second day and still enjoyed every minute, the literature doesn't do this wonderful place any justice, definitely one not to miss if you're going to Holland 🤗😜😍❤️🇳🇱

It's a must see. Very interesting place. Very well maintained. It took us around 3 hours to go around the park. You have the option to walk or else get the tram inside the museum. Coffee, ice cream and other food can be bought. Also noticed that it is dog friendly.

Christmas time!
Second visit to Open Air Museum-be prepared for small Christmas market (including entertainment for the kids and not only), nice atmosphere; pitty that the snow is missing, but the winter just began.

If you want to see a different part of Dutch history this is a must see. Although it is a large property you can utilise the free hop on hop off tram to get to the various areas
It stops at a number of platforms and there's no more than a 5 minute wait between trams. There are also plenty of facilities - toilets, restaurants - available as well. Great day out for all ages.

This was a nice visit but the buildings have all been closed. Sad to have found this out too late. The only restaurant open was the one in the main building. Still it was nice to have the information in English and German.

Very good museum giving you an idea of people living in Netherlands centuries ago. Diverse, bright, inviting, educative, interesting for all ages. There's a tram taking you around the territory with a few stops, very handy for elderly people or families with little kids.
Ekaterina Kirsanova — Google review
It's huge. One day is not enough to experience it all.
Tip: Make use of the train after experiencing each section to save on energy. Pick a few interesting parts within each section if you want to see it all in one day
Tip 2: There are a lot of family oriented activities such as back to past dress-up photography. I enjoyed that.
Tip 3: It's not busy at entry but I always find it handy to buy tickets online.
Tip 4: Wear comfortable footwear. You will walk a lot. Adds to the fun though.
The Burgers' Zoo is a large zoo in the Netherlands that specializes in animals from all over the world, including many rare breeds. The zoo has a realistic reconstruction of their natural habitats, making it a popular tourist destination.
Very, very nice zoo! Really recommend to go.
See also all the photos I made. This will give a good impression in how close you will be able to get to the animals.
They route and layout is very clear. Different animal worlds, like desert, ocean, etc.
Obviously a bit more busy in child holidays, so would be better outside those....

I generally don’t go to zoos, but this place was just amazing. Loved the way they have created and maintained different habitats. Restaurants inside the rainforest offer best dining experience with life all around. Needs entire day to properly explore the place.
Dhiraj Bhaisare — Google review
I'm not a big fan of zoos, I was here with my team from work and I had little investment in the process of deciding a destination.
Although this looks much better maintained than a lot zoos I remember, I can't imagine this being in favor of the animals.
The different themed areas are nicely designed and there's a lot spaces to keep children busy, which is great because you rarely hear kids screaming.
Of course the shops and restaurants are expensive and sell the usual shirts, key chains, plates, you name it.
In contrast to Germany, you can pay everything anywhere with card or mobile. Love that.
Nicolás Martínez — Google review
Incredible zoo, the different zones were set up so well and made you feel part of the eco system. Lots for the kids to do also with both Indoor and outdoors play areas, we really liked seeing the manatees and the Elephants as well as the desert critters, there is also animals roaming around freely which was nice.
Chris Young — Google review
Great experience with family in the zoo. A lot to see. Prepare to walk. Feels like in a tropical forest and on safari in certain sections of the zoo, there are indoor and outdoor sections. The cafe is great too for lunch, coffee and cakes.

Such a beautiful combination of bush+zoo+desert+ocean and many other things to see .
*Highly recommended for adults and children.
*Provide many EV charging station will give it extra bounce.
There are more than one restaurant and cafe corner.
Visitors with kids will love it very accessible with the kid stroller all around the place .
I thought first the ticket price is high but when you are inside you will realize how this place well made and organized.

One of the best zoological parks in Europe.
Founded in 1913 by Johan Burgers. A 15 min (very nice scenery!) bus ride from the center of Arnhem.
It's a huge park with a great variety of animals and with the goal to preserve and rescue endangered species.
The staff is friendly, helpful and have great knowledge about their animals.
Tor Jeanson — Google review
Very nice zoo! We enjoyed the zoo for its nice and spacious enclosures. The zoo has a good balance between good acces to the animals and rest for the animals. Very nice pathways and nice foliage all around. There is a very wide selection of animals. The mangrove enclosure is a work of art. The manatees are amazing. The chimpansee and gorilla enclosures are also impressive. Enough restaurants. The food/souvenirs were expensive. The ticket price is fitting for such a nice zoo. The pathways are also very accessible for strollers. Very accessible for toddlers all around. This Zoo has perfected being a Zoo.
Maarten Prinsen — Google review
Very big zoo, with a large range of animals. There's also three playgrounds, one of which is indoors.
The animals seem well cared for and their cages are not too small.
The layout is a bit confusing and a few more sanitary stations could be added. There's a musical now, and the logo on the plan obscures a few paths. I would recommend using the plan from their website, as it doesn't feature the stupid ad and you can actually see _all_ the paths.
Admission price is very steep. On top of that, €8 for parking seems very excessive. But hey, judging by the amount of people there on a rainy day, they can get away with it.
Pieter Biesemans — Google review
This zoo is a personal favorite due to its diverse animals and realistic ecosystems. From deserts to tropical bushes, the experience is immersive. Animals are well cared for, and the zoo offers ample facilities. Visit early till closing for a comfortable, day-long exploration. Online tickets are recommended to avoid short weekend lines as well as to avail some nice online discounts. Should you plan to visit regularly, an annual pass is a must.

Probably the most beautiful zoo I've ever been to!
I'm not really interested in the Safari-type sections of zoos but every other section we went round multiple times as they were incredible
Love the theming of zones and the enclosure design
Beth Ellerby — Google review
It's a beautiful zoo especially like this Sunday when it was raining most part of the day. De jungle(Bush) is great fun to do with you children. The aquariums are gorgeous. Furthermore there is a huge variety in places where to eat with each having there own theme. The prices are high that is true but we'll spend.
Casper Koopman — Google review
Incredibly gorgeous place, they don't just have amazing animals but the park itself is also amazing to walk through without even looking to the animals. But the animals are amazing too, such a variety! Make sure to be early because we got lucky to see nearly all animals because they were feeding them.
Lindsay Landman — Google review
An amazing Zoo to visit with kids. There are many restaurants and kids playgrounds.
The ocean (aquarium) is breath taking, huge and has a variety of sea animals.
The concept of different environments is a real interesting experience.
You can easily spend 5 hours here if you have kids!
Wael Alshurafa — Google review
Well maintained zoo.. lots of species in zoo and taken care very well. Mangrove is very good to hop around for butterflies within its Evo system. Lot of greenery around and oceans section is also one of the highlight..
Abdul Khadar — Google review
A lovely zoo for all ages. The zoo is divided into several different zones which are very nicely dressed accordingly. What I personally likes a lot was the safari restaurant which was spacious and had a lovely view over the safari enclosure. Here, you could grab a snack or drink while watching safari animals like giraffe's and zebras. The prices for the food here are quite on the high-end in my opinion though. Another touch I liked where the small "offroad" trails in the bush area which gave me a real exploring feeling.
Jari van Ham — Google review
We really enjoyed our visit at Burgers' Zoo. The park has a lot of area's (Ocean, Bush, Mangrove, Desert etc) where you can wander around. You can clearly see a lot of love went into creating and maintaining these areas. Food at the restaurants is a bit on the expensive side so you might want to consider bringing your own.
Michiel Essen — Google review
Still, I think, the best Zoo in The Netherlands. Explored it and was again amazed by the Ocean, Safari, Dessert etc. Enough parking, no waiting at entrance (our luck) at plenty of restaurants to have a rest. Burgers' Zoo, after 30 years since my last visit, still on no. 1
Gerrit Willemsen — Google review
Such a wonderful place for these beautiful animals. The zoo is not only well maintained but the residents here are looking like they enjoy their life so much. Let alone the bush and the dessert area. Infinite fun 🤩
Y Han — Google review
This is one of the best zoos in the Netherlands. I have visited this zoo several times, and it is always an adventure. You can easily spend a day here.
The zoo covers diverse habitats such as deserts, savannas, and oceans. You'll find lions, elephants, zebras, giraffes, tigers, and countless bird species, representing a wide range of big and small animals. In a thoughtful manner, the zoo educates the public about how human actions are disrupting the habitats of these animals, plants, and our planet in general. I particularly enjoy the ocean section, where you can observe and learn about various sea animals and plants. It is also highly educational for kids. The animals are well treated, though it's important to note that, being a zoo, they are kept without their will.
There are numerous playgrounds for kids. While the zoo offers several restaurants, they tend to be overpriced and not the best in terms of quality. Be sure to prepare yourself well for a long and adventurous day.
Eskeatnaf Mulugeta — Google review
Top day out!!! A zoo with different themes and play areas.
Easy to walk around, not too big and plenty of restaurants and a picnic area overlooking the giraffes!
Sarah Mc Loughlin — Google review
The zoo is amazing! It is the best place to spend the day with kids! There are playgrounds, an aquarium, many wonderful pavilions with a variety of plants and animals. Many of the animals can be seen up close, and they are in a large area, not at all like cages, which does not make me sad. The menu of the restaurants is a disappointment, I think it could be much more varied and healthy. Otherwise everything is marvellous!
Elen — Google review
Best zoo I've ever been to. Most animals have enough space, live in similar habitats as they do in the wild. The biomes flow into eachother.
Kaas Kop — Google review
They have an amazing inside area, so even on rainy days its a great visit. If you buy the yearly subscription, you can go in without any effort however many times you want, great for regular walks too! With family, alone, doesn't matter, this zoo is for everyone. Just be polite to the animals and respect the staff members. They do amazing work for this zoo. If there is any place I would like to see improved its the dessert area, the dessert area is the most unpopular area, mainly because there aren't as many animals to see like the Bush, Ocean or Mangrove. They are around you in the dessert but not really, I'd love to see more unique dessert animals that work well with visitors walking through. For example reptiles, but of course this wouldn't work well if you have a Lynx and Warthogs there. So I get their choices, but I think the dessert area could definitely use a revamp. Other than that the rest of the zoo is amazing. There is also a bird area in the back which could use some more love. My 2nd favorite zoo in the netherlands!

The Palace of Het Loo in Apeldoorn is one of the most important national museums in the Netherlands. It has an excellent art collection, and there are guided tours of the royal apartments.
Beautiful gardens and well maintained palace with interesting audio tours. Yes the work is still ongoing to finish the front of the palace but still worth a visit. Don’t miss out on visiting the roof, especially on a beautiful day - the entrance is a bit hidden so I missed it the first time, had to ask for directions to find it.
Emma LC — Google review
Beautiful palace with beautifully restored interiors. The gardens are also breathtaking. Fully rated spoil grapes shop full of nonsense, where you can't even buy a postcard or a magnet with a palace. They don't even have any text or brochure here, just audio guides. The app could not be downloaded from the Play Store.
Mat?j Bekera — Google review
Download the app and audio tour before you go. Tour is great - informative while being entertaining and never boring. Really high quality.
Palace is great, with very helpful friendly and informative staff spread around and happy to answer questions.
Suggest allowing c1.5 hours for the Palace if doing the two sections of the audio tour, and a further 30 mins minimum for the gardens, or 1.5 hours if you intend to do the formal gardens and the orange route around the boating lake (all of which are well worth doing).
The new gallery space below the courtyard is amazing, with an interesting g exhibition about the project.
O Brown — Google review
Beautiful and great looking palace. Inside there honestly isn’t really all that to do or look at but the few exhibitions and rooms you can check out are worth to check. It’s nice that they give you access to the rooftop as well which shows a beautiful view of the gardens and the surrounding area. I didn’t have time to visit the garden but if you’re there definitely visit the gardens as well, they look beautiful.

Beautiful castle, we went there for the "princess day" and it was very well organised. The gardens are beautiful. The castle itself is closed due to renovation and it will open somewhere next year so I'm looking forward to visiting again once it's fully open.

Very beautiful place. Brand new museum! 2 bar cafes restaurants with amazing lunch as well. A lot of facilities to visit and a great story to read. You need at least 3 hours to discover all the palace rooms and then at least 1 hour to walk through the gardens. There is a hike root as well so be prepared with hat, water and good shoes!
Theano — Google review
Really nice place! Lots to see! We went there just a bit before closing and ended up getting to the gardens right before they started to kick people out. If you end up with the same problem - go to the very end of the gardens first and then walk back - because they start moving people out in that direction.
Layout of the Palace was a little confusing we ended up missing one side of it but we also knew we needed to go to the gardens before they close.
Make sure you go to the rooftop! The views of the garden are maybe even better than what you would see down there.
Oksana Gavrix — Google review
Beautifully renovated Royal Palace in prime condition with amazing gardens in a huge park. Built by/for William III of William and Mary fame (the guy who conquered England in 1666).
The outside is Dutch Renaissance with French formal gardens and a more English park.
The inside is a wonderful collection of rooms in the Renaissance, Baroque, Empire and 1930s styles. Plus the lush new entrance in a very marbly 2020s style.
Catering is so-so. The 2 restaurants could not sell us a bottle of water for my thirsty kids. There is no vending machine, strangely.
Parking is easy and plentiful, but not cheap at 8 euros. Public transportation access is good from the Apeldoorn station.
Ventilation is disappointing. I measured up to 1,050 ppm on a reasonably busy day. Not good enough. It smells stuffy too, which cannot be good for the palace and its contents.
There are two good merchandise shops but nothing I could use in a modern styled home, apart from the obligatory fridge magnet. I think foreign visitors might love the shopping.
The broader Veluwe area is lovely and has amusement parks, forests, a hunting lodge, a Van Gogh museum and a monkey zoo.

I really enjoyed visiting this Palace Het Loo in Apeldoorn. With the museumkaart is free, though the parking is paid.
The palace is really big though visits are only allowed in part of it. The palace is really well conserved and preserved.
It has a huge garden super beautiful that you can see from the rooftop. You can also walk there and even go to the forest that is part of the visit. This forest is really worth the try so take your boots/sneakers. It has a huge and beautiful lake, statues and things like that.
You can spend an entire day over there, if you want. There is a cafe where you can buy some food / drinks.
For me, the best was the library. For those who like books, is difficult not to like it.
Cl?udia Pereira — Google review
Having visited many outstanding palaces and gardens in the UK & Europe this is certainly in our top 5, the gardens are impressive and impeccably maintained.
The entrance to the palace via the underground atrium is spectacular, although the palace is sparsely furnished it doesn’t detract form it’s grandeur.
Andrew Holt — Google review
It is very nicely organised with several routes and tours to follow. The app that you can download can give you the tour as well. Written or spoken.
Beautiful Palace as expected ofcourse! Each room with a story of its own and all the little details present, will keep you busy for as long as you'd like.
Don't forget to look up!
The restaurant is decent enough with decent prices.
The reason why it only get 3 stars from me is this:
In the public Palace gardens in front of the Palace itself, the are some nice benches you can sit and relax. To bad there's a lot of trash laying around. This also has to do with the little amount of bins available.
Inside the Palace, it is so unbelievably busy, that (at least I did) the feeling of being rushed has a constant presence. People almost pushing themselves into the next room, not keeping in account that they are not the only once there. That really put down the experience it gave.
Dennis van Bommel — Google review
Former Palace of the Royal family of the Netherlands, now a museum. Has been renovated recently. It does showcase the palace in different "states"- you can see rooms as they were in the beginning of the monarchy but also some how they looked like just 70 years ago.
Tip: download the app beforehand and bring a headset
Also plan enough time for the garden (if the weather permits it).

Palais Het Loo is really beautiful. You can spend the whole day visiting it, with your friends and family members. You can start with the indoor part of the castle and then see the beautiful gardens. You can click beautiful photos and videos to keep them as memories or share them with your dear ones. You can have a drink or lunch in the restaurant of the castle. Can't wait to visit it again!

No description inside (I liked that, but my boyfriend didn’t) although you can buy map, download an app with audio-tour or rent device to listen to. At the cafe inside we were waiting for 10-15 minutes and no one showed up so we left. There’s places to buy different kinds of things like postcard, vases and art.

Amazing palace. Recommend it. We went with our daughter and the place has activities for all ages.

Fabulous combination between new and old architecture! watching the play of light with the water of the fountain from below is fascinating. the finest materials in the new building but by no means ostentatious. magnificent view from the roof of the palace. wonderful gardens. in the rearmost part of the site you can relax wonderfully by the lake.

a non-pretentious baroque castle, only the dutch could accomplish that. inside still pretty fancy rooms of course. also the baroque lower and upper garden. at the end there also is an entrance/ exit to the castle forest, closes at 16.30! It is in general a pity, that the castle already closed at 17.00, since a lot of nice hours could be spend in the garden in summer evenings

Koninklijk Park 16, 7315 JA Apeldoorn, Netherlands
Apenheul, a Dutch animal park located in Apeldoorn, offers visitors the opportunity to observe over 200 primates freely roaming around. In addition to the main attraction of observing these creatures up close, Apenheul also features a treetop trail and a nocturnal monkey house. For those looking to make the most out of their visit, combining Apenheul with a trip to Palace Het Loo provides a full day's worth of activities.
Amazing place, not only for kids but for adults too! You are really close to the monkeys and you see them jumping around the park. Before entering, you are advised to put your belongings inside a closed bag (they are free and with different sizes). You can walk around the whole park without any problem and there are services inside (restaurants, toilet, etc.)
Alvaro Lau — Google review
Amazing all day experience. Very big park, most monkeys walking freely. The gorilla show is a must! Only downside is the limited eating facilities, besides krokets and hot dogs there is only fries if you get hungry even though it is really an all-day activity
E Berenyi — Google review
Apenheul is an insane place, we were two adults and had lots of fun! Lots of monkeys close to you! Some practicalities
- Lockers need a 1€ coin, make sure to have one with you (The coin is returned at the end)
- Parking has to be paid with card and the maximum is €9.30 a day
- Even if you go with a backpack they will make you put your stuff in the park’s official bags (no charge)
- We walked without a rush and the total time spent in the park (including Gorilla feeding presentation) was 3 hours
- All paths in the park are possible for wheelchairs / trolleys 👌🏻
- There are services 🚾 in different points of the park so you can drink lots of water without that being an issue
- We went with a bag with water, chips, sandwiches and since everything is so flat, carrying is not so bad 🧊
- We went from Amsterdam, going by public transportation was (roughly) 19€ per person each way so it was definitely worth to rent a car (in the end, payed like 75€ for mywheels)
It’s a beautiful experience, recommended for everyone!

Very nice park where some of the monkeys are roaming free.. not all ofcourse. Enough places to eat and drink within the park. Just make sure none of your pockets and bags are open because these monkeys will steal anything! Very cool for the younger kids!
Wynand Shankar — Google review
There is a lot of walking, but the children have an incredible joy to see the monkeys so close. In the center of the zoo there is also a huge playground for children, where you can easily spend an extra hour. The best way to see many species of monkeys, which have been created in conditions close to natural. A place worth spending every euro.
Aga Fi — Google review
If you arrive early (from 10 a.m to 2 p.m) the monkeys do absolutely nothing but sleep and chill. Food, drinks and souvenirs are very expensive. And a lot of the fun parts are closed for some reason.

Lovely Primate park with lots for kids to do. The place was really nicely laid out and thought it was great how seamless it was walking from area to area.
James Andrews — Google review
Beautiful zoo, with 35 species of monkeys, including gorillas, chimps, orang utans, bonobos, gibbons, but also sloths and cabibaras. Great park with surprising enclosures. Parking is a bit of a walk, but affordable (10 euro for a day) and the walk is through the park where the zoo is located in.
Sander Hoogendoorn — Google review
Lovely park in a beautiful forest setting. The drive there is lovely as well, don't take the highway, take the N-numbered-routes! In the park many areas where monkeys just walk among the people. Don't need to plan for a whole day, doable in about 4 hours (cheaper tickets from 2:00pm available).
TeuLira Family — Google review
Visited as an adult couple while on holiday. All the signs are in Dutch, German and English, and the staff were happy to help when our Google translating wasn't good enough to make an educated guess. Despite the drizzle, there were plenty of species pottering about under the trees, with no evidence that they had been forced outside (and plenty of other species that had sensibly taken themselves inside to gaze out the windows at the rain!). Got close to quite a few different species, in particular the squirrel monkeys, red howler monkeys and Barbary macaques, but all the animals we saw seemed well adjusted to captive life and not afraid of doing their own thing close to visitors. Gorilla show is only in Dutch, but this is noted on signs, and would have been fine if the silverback hasn't come out, taken a bite of chicory and then decided that the offering was not outweighing the rain and scarpered sedately off! Can't blame him! Humans had jackets and were sitting under a canopy in the dry, after all!
e blade — Google review
A great day out for all the family. Walk around the well marked route ( good access for wheelchair and people with walking disabilities), and mingle with the many free running monkeys (more than 30 different types to find). Make sure you find the time to visit the three shows ( all in Dutch, but the staff speak English and are willing to answer any questions). Unfortunately we found the food on offer at the restaurant! to be very expensive and not very nice ( when we visit again, we will take our own food with) large parking area, cost between €10 and €11. (bus stop on main road near to parking area)Approx 10 minutes walk from carpark to the entrance.

The animals are adorable ❤️
The playgrounds are just awesome! The day flew by and we really enjoyed ourselves 🤗

Looks well-maintained and exciting for kids. It takes about 10 minutes of walking from the parking lot to Apenheul's entrance. You walk through a beautiful park. Apenheul itself was busy, but less busy than I expected during summer holidays. There are lots of species and the animals seem to be doing OK from uneducated eyes, like mine. The prices for food there are spicy and there are not a lot of options. In hindsight I would have brought food from home. Take a light backpack because you need to wear it facing the front.
Gabriella Pacheco — Google review
Fantastic experience, get up close with all species of monkeys and plenty of activities, refreshments and fun for all. I was visiting Dutch parents and we all enjoyed the visit, a place for all ages.
The DAF Museum is a fascinating exhibit showcasing the history of the DAF brand with an impressive collection of trucks, rare production and prototype vehicles. While it may not be suitable for young children as there is limited entertainment available, it is ideal for car and truck enthusiasts who are interested in the development of engines over the years. The museum also features a cafe and gift shop, making it a great place to spend some time exploring.
Great place to visit, you can spend there at least hour, but probably more, depends on your interest in cars. Especially for kids is an amazing place. There are some snacks, nice fast packed soups and coffee just to sit and talk.
Natalia Navrotska — Google review
Nice museum for adults and older kids. We came here with our 3 year old and at one point he was rather bored - there isn’t much entertainment for young kids. They can sit in a couple of truck cabins and busses, but that’s pretty much it.
Very interesting for those who love cars and trucks/history and are interested in development of the engines over the years etc. It was very unclear for us whether there was a carpark or not so we just parked in the area on a street there.

It was a very nice visit. We spent perfect time in Daf museum i Eindhoven. You will find complete history of this automotive company. I wondered how nice protype cars were never produced. But fortunately you can see them all there. I visited museum at 10:30 am which was perfect time on Sunday.

Nice museum with old cars, trucks and other vehicles. There is a cafe and gift shop inside. Not busy on a Sunday, perfect to spend some time around the city.

from family cars, trucks, defence vehicles to racing cars, over the years DAF has pushed innovation and design in all areas. The museum gives a wonderful tour of all these design evolutions. Loved the old city bus models and Pony army vehicle.
Also you can buy toy trucks and enjoy a coffee in car seat chairs!

We had a great time. The kids were thrilled they were allowed to enter some of the cars, trucks, buses. We were so excited and we ended up in an actual delivery truck 😅
I think it would be a lot easier if the cars you are allowed to touch/get in will be better marked.

Nice place to visit when in Eindhoven. Cool to see how the engine works and you can also see from sketch to real car. Very cool!

Great variety of models from different ages and different vehicle purposes. It is included in the museumkaart. It's going to be heaven of you know about mechanics and will be a short visit if you only like weird shaped cars
Camilo Aguirre — Google review
If you like cars and/or antique stuff, that's an awesome place for you. Many old cars, buses and trucks. In some of them you may get in to take photos and take a look, in others you can't (pay attention to the signs). There are some people to who you may ask questions about the cars and equipments in exhibition. There are also signs with information about most of the cars; some are written in dutch and english and others are written only in dutch.

Great place to visit at Eindhoven downtown, also a very quiet and decent neighborhood. A nice place for family especially with kids! (Adult entrance fee:12.5euro)

Great museum. I’ll be honest - I really didn’t think I’d spend more than 1h here, but I spent almost 3 h! It’s a very nicely organized museum, there is a lot of information on DAF and everything they’ve produced. There is also a nice exhibition of privately owned cars, which I also enjoyed quite a lot. I definitely recommend this museum if you like cars. Otherwise, it might be boring.
Cristina Pocol — Google review
Amazing museum with tons of trucks, buses, military vehicles, road and race cars. There are also many DAF's engines, axis and transmissions on show as well as opened items that we can turn cranks and see how the equipment works.
We can also enter the modern truck cabins to feel how comfortable they have become nowadays.
To me the crown jewels are the F3 car, rally car from the London - Sydney marathon, the rally trucks, and the Williams F1 mock up.
Really worth the visit.
Diógenes Magno Laube — Google review
Don't go there unless you have a free ticket or the NL museum ticket. In my view, its a crowded car show display nothing exciting there. The only piece I found nice was the trucks and your chance to go in. If you don't speak Dutch its not the best place to go as you wouldn't understand plenty of things. They should go learn from the Germans in their car museums how to build one.
Andrew “Andy” Kamel — Google review
I thought I knew most car models but I'm surprised that I've not heard of DAF. My miss as this Dutch manufacturer has been in business since 1928 making mostly trucks with a car business that started in the 1950s. I can't say I recall seeing a DAF vehicle on the road in the USA.
This large museum is filled with dozens of full trucks, buses, some truck cabs and lots of cars. You'll find haulers and tow trucks and fire trucks and military models and even an open-wheel race car. Everything is in perfect condition and they all have captions with detailed information on the model, how this particular one was acquired and some history.
A number of the floor models are available to be climbed into for pictures through most are "no touching" which is understandable. The small gift shop has models and postcards and such for purchase.
I spent an enjoyable two hours exploring and viewing. It was fun!

We were in the European Service Team of the year and we were able to see all the trucks and have a nice event with dinner for the awards ceremony.

Amazingly interesting museum for truck enthusiasts or just regular people. It offers a great insight into past models of DAF but also current ones.
You can get into several older models of DAF trucks. A lot of interactive displays showing how transmissions and gearboxes work. I personally had a lot of fun and highly recommend it!

The Philips Museum is a fascinating exhibition showcasing the evolution of a light-bulb manufacturer into a global electronic conglomerate, focusing on their contributions to music, lighting, health and communications. Visitors can discover the company's history and innovative solutions towards healthcare while enjoying interactive activities for children like treasure hunts. A popular attraction in Eindhoven, this museum offers an engaging journey through time with highlights such as Keith Richards' tape-recorder and an Oscar-winning wide-screen projector.
I really love everything about this museum. Small museum of two floors though so informative that you will feel too involved to skip anything. VR glasses experience was good. Also loved all the range of products that Philips developed over time. You could see for example first product they had designed in the past. You can also get a free audio tour where it explains mostly everything. There is a short film as well at one of the sections. You can hear the history and work experience of few ex Philip employees. I was very lucky to also catch a lecture at 2pm about radio invention which was hell interesting. Applauds for organizing this and explaining the technical details of radio and how the radio frequency worked back in those days. They had a cute cafe near the enterance where if you order a coffee then you get a cookie with Philips shield imprinted on it. Which is such a great cool idea! Also, the bulb is used as a flower vase on the cafe tables which is so creative. LED lights looking like a candle were also fun to see. Thanks to the entire team who organises and maintains this museum. I find the whole experience worth my visit and could happily recommend anyone to visit ❤️

I really enjoyed this museum. The layout and pieces that you got to see inside were well worth the price. I would recommend this place if you want to find out about the past of the Philips company and if you want to see some old technology. They also have audio guides which give a lot more information about the things that are found in the museum.

Simply a wonderful experience and visit!! So well organized, easy to walk through, and a wide impressive history of Philips Company. The exhibits and all items are breathtaking and traveled you back in the past to the first radios and TVs we had. A great story of the history of the factory through its years. Definitely worth a visit, and the personel is very happy to welcome you.

A great experience. Do not miss if you are in Eindhoven. It documents the history of Philips from formation in the 1800 and as they said "it all starts with Lights!" The museum has several tours and videos which are very informative including the early manufacturing workshop (See the photos), their activities during both WW 1 and WW2 and present day scientific feats. Plan to spend more than 2 hours particularly if you like technology. Tickets can be purchased at the entrance including an option for a family game that will test all the information. Enjoy

Even if I am not a big museum person this was a really educational and fun visit. You get to see and feel a piece of modern history that everyone kind of remembers, nostalgic I guess.
There are mini lectures in English and Dutch which are a must. The speaker is fluent in English and the presentation is educational, we loved it. Note, the first lecture starts around 14:30 in English and there two lectures one about TVs and another about radios.
The stuff inside the museum are super polite and nice. Overall a really good time spent and we came out with more knowledge and facts.

This wasn't too far of a walk from Eindhoven Centraal station. The museum pass can be used here. The staff showed the lockers, toilets and then the start of the museum, extremely helpful. Overall the museum gave a nice overview of the company, from the very beginning to the evolution of future state of the organization. Really nice to see how the technology has gotten especially nowadays. This museum should take around 1-3 hours depending on how fast or slow you go!

Had a good museum experience here yesterday. We bought tickets on the door, which were a good price for the amount of time spent there and extent of information shown.
Really interesting to hear about the history of Philips, the breadth of products and impact on technology and city of Eindhoven.
Spent between 2-3 hours here, probably read most of the information boards but there were more audio and video interactions that we did not do, and there appeared to be a lot of children activities that we did not partake in; so more time could have been indulged here.
Definately worth a visit!

A "must see" museum if you are in Eindhoven, kind English speaking staff, nicely elaborated descriptions of the exhibits also in English, many interesting exhibits inside, even the children were excited, you can easily spend 2 hours inside, the toilets, hangers for clothes, and even small cafe available, children can do a quiz using a torch and you can also find many interactive panels there, the old Philips electronics was amazing, I like to remember those times, Cons: the part with hand-works is only for reservation

A museum showing the history of the Philips company. Philips is a huge part of the Eindhoven culture, and the several companies split from Philips is one of the main drivers of Eindhoven’s popularity. However, the museum was quite short and I didn’t feel like I could get a sense of the company’s history. There were a lot of children attractions if you are into that.
Altuğ Bakan — Google review
The museum tells the story of the Philips company from its founding in 1891 by Gerard and Frederik Philips through to the present day where it's known for medical equipment, consumer electronics and home appliances and yes, light bulbs.
Lots to see and movies to watch, most of it in Dutch with English captions. So much history of this massive conglomerate company! There is of course a gift shop and I picked up a new fridge magnet.

I really enjoyed this museum. I really didn’t know much about the Philips history, just their appliances 🙃 The information that is presented is very well structured. Are you ready to geek out on some serious science and technology history? Then get ready to plug in and power up at the Philips Museum in Eindhoven, the ultimate destination for all things Philips. The reason why I brought my kids along for a positively electric time!
This museum is an electrifying experience that will shock and awe you with its displays and exhibits. From the Evolution of Light exhibit to the Philips Research Lab, you'll be positively charged with excitement as you explore the fascinating history of this pioneering electronics company.
Oh, my techies-in-training kiddos love learning about the groundbreaking technologies that Philips has developed over the years, from X-ray tubes to cassette tapes to LED lighting systems.
But let's be real here, it's not just my kids who had a good time. As an adult, I appreciate the museum's attention to detail and its fascinating look at the history of Philips.
I can assure you, this isn't your typical boring museum experience. The Philips Museum has a quirky, playful side too, with exhibits like the Philips Design Studio, which showcases the company's coolest product designs over the years. Plus, there's plenty of interactive fun for kids (and kids at heart) with hands-on exhibits that will keep everyone entertained for hours.
I hope this review captures the fun and excitement of the Philips Museum while also giving you a taste of its fascinating history and innovative exhibits.
Ouwehands Zoo, located in Rhenen, is a renowned establishment known for its diverse range of animals and naturalistic habitats. One of its main attractions is the presence of giant pandas, making it the only zoo in the Netherlands where these creatures can be found. The zoo offers a relaxing atmosphere with ample space for both animals and visitors. It's particularly suitable for families with children, as there are various play areas available.
Great zoo with a lot of attractions and activities for the kids. Big enough, nicely planned, visually rich. I personally did not like fences here and there, but on the other hand animals get a lot of space. In three hours we just walked through, even skipped some animals. So plan accordingly, the zoo is really big!

White pandas 🐼 were the highlight of the trip as I have never seen them other than movies! Definetly one time visit if you have kids! The restaurants get busier and there are not much options to eat if you are a vegetarian 🥗

We haven't yet been to the zoo as an ordinary zoo, we went to their night time experience run from the end of November until early January. It's beautiful and rooted in the Chinese lantern festival tradition. Called Aqua Luna it uses large illuminated images of sea creatures as well as other animals. Really quite magical and not a Christmas tree or Santa Claus in sight!

What an amazing place. Animals look great, healthy and happy, their pens are clean and spacious, some animals are within the arm’s reach - the best zoo I have ever visited. Theme park with family-friendly & white-knuckle thrill rides, plus water attractions.
Great day at a wonderful theme park - though some times the lines were really long, so I'd recommend buying a pack of 'fast passes' to use when this occurs. The park is themed differently to others, but I quite liked it - it was quirky! Definitely a good day out.

Brilliant, clean, great park. Great selection of modern coasters and some classics: a log flume and 'Enterprise' ride (called G-Force). The only small criticism are the main coasters are full on white knuckle or for smaller kids, an improvement would be some intermediate ones. Overall one of the best parks I've been to though would still recommend for everyone 👌

Take it from someone who doesn’t like such parks, it’s an insane place. Lots of adrenaline activities, huge space. Went there on a Sunday and there were no entry queues.
There are 5 sensation levels, I made it only to the third one and was mortified, but there were amazing coasters for the high-adrenaline lovers. There are more than 40 activities to choose from, all levels.
Plenty of food options throughout the park grounds but mostly burgers. I found the gift shops particularly expensive.

This park is really amazing, especially for thrill seekers. Untamed is just world-class if you ride it at night in the back. Highly recommend Fright Nights! The halloween attractions are well themed and especially Below was a unique experience. The food is very good, the atmosphere at Fright Nights with the shows, all the lights and lasers and scare actors is just amazing.

Clearly seen better days especially with some of its older rides and themeing. But the new area is gorgeous and fully what the rest of the park should be. The rides themselves, especially the roller coasters were actually excellent and all felt incredible. It's not on the same tier as some other big parks, but it has some great rides. Vegan options leave a lot to be desired but that's true for a lot of rural Netherlands. A great day and a great park for what it is.
Imogen Lloyd — Google review
Interesting and fun theme park, a plethora of rollercoasters to pick from for the more daring.
But also a few less intense attractions for those that enjoy less intensity, don’t miss out on the water attractions such as Crazy River, El Rio Grande and the especially wet one Splash Battle. They will have you come out 💦 soaking💦 if you are unlucky with the water especially refreshing on a hot summer day.
To be able to see and experience most things I would recommend a day or two depending on how early you get there, the weather and what YOU enjoy.

Wow!! Simply amazing. Beats my expectations. If you are thrill seeker and fan of roller coasters, then Walibi is for you. Reach Harderwijk station and catch Walibi express to the park. There is not just 1,2 or 3 roller coasters but 7 and sky diving is cherry on the cake. And kids love them. I went on Easter holidays and was able to do it more than once most of the rides. Plus there are nice cafes and lot of fast food options. Highly recommended.

If you like roller coasters and thrill rides, this is the place for you! On Halloween, part of the park is also spookily decorated. Large selection of snacks such as burgers, fries (also loaded), kebabs, hot dogs, waffles and sweet Dutch specialties.

One of the best roller coasters. Untamed was so nice and fun. I tried all the roller coaster and had fun. Surprisingly waiting time was less on Sunday. We had to wait for lost gravity for more than half an hour.
We were really looking to ride speed of sound but it was closer for maintenance.
Overall experience was nice 😊

Awesome place to spend the weekend. A lot of attractions to try for kids and grown ups.
There are lockers to rent, small (5€) and bigger (7€). You can also have your backpack with you, and before the ride there are boxes where you can put it and collect after a ride.
Variety of food to buy but also there are tables and chair where you can sit and have your own food.
There is also free sun cream spots
Enjoy the Walibi
Dolphin, seal & walrus shows & demonstrations in major marine animal park with touch tanks.
We visited with our 10 year old daughter; it was my first time back since I was a kid. I appreciate how they’ve made possible for kids to get close and experience these animals, while keeping the focus on the animals’ care and well-being rather than on entertaining. We had a lovely time. Also, kudos to the very clever coffee deal: Get a reusable cup and refills on all warm drinks at the park are free.

Seeing dolphins was the best!! The show was amazing. I also enjoyed seeing sea lions and walruses. It is not a big place but you can enjoy your time there with family and friends. There were not many cheap food options.

Very nice experience of seeing dophins, seals and sea lions in their own type of habitat! The dolphin show inside the grand arena is also amazing! Always buy tickets online - no ticket selling at the facility

Small place but a good visit for the experience. Keep the expectations low and you would very well enjoy. Check for online discounts you would find few. The Harderwijk village itself was very beautiful. P2 has day ticket. Better to park there and walk to the entrance. It takes 4-5 mins. Parking ticket was 10.5 eur. Obviously dolphins were the main attraction. Apart from the shows go to the underground to have near by view of dolphins and walrus. There are slides and play stuff for kids to fully engage. The beach and water slides were closed when we went.

It has lost its charm. No great shows. Hardly couple of them. They have not maintained well. Very unclean. This place was best 4-5 years before with full fledged entertainment for kids. But I would not suggest anyone to visit and even the ticket price is high. Also the restaurants are closed inside. Not fun anymore.

Great place to spend with the kids. Water play area in summer added bonus . 4 star rating because because in dolphin show acoustics not good and a glow wand toy was being sold for 10 euro a piece ( just a basic toy that lights up ) kind of sad because a lot of kids would not have got one because of the ridiculous price

If you are a curious aquatic life lover you should definitely visit.
You will get to know a lot of information about the fishes and dolphins. Just know the information will be provided in Dutch. The place is great for kids and adults as well.
There is one main show of dolphin in the grand theatre and it’s in English and a must watch. It’s enticing they treat all the animals so well. The tricks dolphins do it’s beautiful to watch.
We did dolphin experience as well which is paid extra where you can touch and play with dolphins and learn a little more about them. It was quite an experience to have. I would totally recommend it but it’s a bit pricey. Totally your call.

Amazing place for a day trip for kids and even adults. We love all the shows, especially how well executed the Dolphin show is. We have been to this places more than 5 times and still like it. There little village and the walking path next to it, is beautiful, that always a nice way to conclude the trip.
Everything is very well taken care of, and clean, the staffs are very nice too, always smiling and friendly to kids.
The playground is nice and the water park is super. However, the changing room & toilet there need to be improved. The water is a bit cold, so if there is no sun, it can be quite cold, i guess kids have no problem with that.
Totally recommended.

You can bring your snacks with you. We had lots of dun fun only one thing I wished we stayed longer the park close 17:00 it needs to be longer specially in summer holiday .

St John's Cathedral is a grand church located in the Netherlands that was established during the 13th century. It boasts an impressive 73-meter high spire and is considered as one of the finest churches in the country. Constructed from 1336 to 1550, this cathedral features stunning late-Gothic stained-glass windows, a revered Madonna statue, and an organ case from the seventeenth century.
This Cathedral is amazing from the beginning you can see its Gothic style from the outside and inside --however, back on the days was more Romanesque but it was demolished =( --. You can walk for most of the places inside. as It is Gothic the combination between dark places and lights, makes it perfect contrast. the main tower has 74 meters and this make it the highest church in The Netherlands.

I am an American visiting friends in The Netherlands, and I recently visited the Sint-Janskathedraal, which is is a stunning cathedral in s'-Hertogenbosch.
The cathedral is almost 800 years old and includes many popular relics visited by the Catholic faithful.
I visited the day before Easter Sunday, and the cathedral looked perfect. It was inspirational to see all of the holy items, the artwork, and the architecture.
Be sure not to miss the amazing statues on the roof of the cathedral and be sure to look for the woman on her cell phone (calling a hotline to God)!

The Catholic Cathedral Church of St. John (Sint-Janskathedraal) of 's-Hertogenbosch, North Brabant is one of the most beautiful churches in the Netherlands. It is a Gothic church with richly decorated interior. It serves as the cathedral for the bishopric of 's-Hertogenbosch (Den Bosch). inside you can see the miraculous Statue of Our Lady of ’s-Hertogenbosch. There is also a small chapel dedicated to orthodox icons. It is definitely worth visiting.

Simply majestic! Fist time in a cathedral and happy it was this one. Amazed by everything in the Church. Grote Kerk truly justifies its name (grote=big) , a gigantic monument of beauty and elegance . And don't forget to eat in any of the cafe places around , a Bossche Bol ..harder to write the name than eat the thing

The Noordbrabants Museum is a modern museum showcasing various objects related to regional and global history, culture, and art. The museum features exhibits from famous artists such as Dali, Van Gogh, and Picasso. Additionally, the museum's courtyard is well-maintained and aesthetically pleasing. Always a joy to visit this peaceful location in a busy city centre. A large collection of historical works, a tour through Brabant's growth over the centuries and consistently inspiring contemporary art shows, from both young creatives just starting out, through to established artists with career spanning shows.
I even joined up with the Museumkaart so I can return as many times as I wish over the year and other places. It worked out that after about 4-5 shows everything else is for free, and you can return to amazing places like this again and again. And support them too!

The Beekse Bergen zoo offers visitors the unique experience of observing various wild animals such as elephants, lions and apes in their natural habitat. The park provides guided tours on buses, boats and walking paths, allowing for a diverse way of exploring the grounds. The zoo sets itself apart from others by offering the opportunity to drive through areas where many of the animals roam freely which is an exceptional experience.
Great place to spend time with kids. It was a unique experience for us to be able live right next to a few lions 🦁 . You hear them roaring the whole night but it was exciting and fun. The safari park has lot of animals to visit by foot or by car or by boat. We tried all and it was worth it. There is a big fun park for kids with rides as well. Days well spent.

A beautiful zoo where animals roam freely. I got together with my friends and their kids for a Sunday activity. It was a pleasant day. You can do a safari by bus and ship. There is also an option that you can do with your vehicle if you prefer, but it is a bit limited compared to others. What I don't like about this place is that the food options were a little less; frankly, we couldn't find anything to eat. But if you want to do a safari without going to Africa, it is a good option. The parking fee is 9.50 Euros, and you can get it from the internet or the kiosks at the entrance.
There is no control when entering, but they check one by one when leaving. I would recommend not taking it in advance to don't stay at the exit.

This zoo for me was one of the best zoos I have seen so far. First of all the you could get a chance to see all the animals which you would see on the map. It was really exciting for kids to see them all. There are different options to explore it , by walk, by your vehicle, by the boat.
Special attractions were, lion, tiger of different types. There are sufficient sitting areas to sit and eat and toilets.
All area is wheel chair friendly and you also get a kid cart in case if you forget to bring.

Beekse Bergen offers an unforgettable safari experience that is sure to impress even the most seasoned travelers. The vast plains and rolling hills of the park provide an ideal backdrop for a thrilling adventure that is both educational and entertaining.
One of the best ways to experience Beekse Bergen is on foot or car. These safaris allow visitors to get up close and personal with a variety of animals, including, lions, rhinos, and giraffes. The guides are happy to answer questions and provide insight into the behavior and habits of the animals, making for an educational and informative experience.
For those who prefer a more adventurous safari experience, Beekse Bergen offers the option to drive your own car through the park. This allows visitors to explore the park at their own pace and get even closer to the animals. The park provides a app that details the different routes through the park and provides information on the various animals that can be seen along the way.
Overall, Beekse Bergen offers a safari experience that is both impressive and unforgettable. Whether you choose to explore the park on foot or by car, you are sure to be greeted by breathtaking scenery and a wide variety of fascinating animals. The park is well-maintained and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable, making for a truly enjoyable experience. I would highly recommend a visit to Beekse Bergen to anyone looking for a unique and exciting safari adventure.
My family and I will certainly come back again.

Interesting concepts of a safari park, mixed with a zoo. It is a big spacious park, where the animals have lots of space, with a focus on African animals. The car safari is a nice ride passing the animal, and sometimes engaging with them. The zoo part is a good walk, but the variety of animals is a bit limited. The extremely large elephant enclosure is under serious reconstruction, and looks promising. A nice tip: if you are a member of the ANWB, go to their website for discounted tickets, saves 20-25%.

We stayed at the lion's area. So basically our backyard was all lion's. It was an amazing experience. My kids enjoyed it so much.
Every other day, they feed the lion's at 9:45am in the morning. If I come back, I'm staying again with the lion's. The lion's roar is so powerful and beautiful.

A very nice experience in a sunny day. A perfect tour with the kids, a lot of animals to see. We liked the possibility to visit the park in different ways, by walking, by car and also by bus and a boat. Very well organized also with restaurants. Recommended.

A little bit expensive (35 euros pp), but it's nice to see rare animals. Unfortunately you can't feed them. You can watch the zoo by walking, driving slowly your own car or by boat (too far to see animals clearly) .
Marina Makarenko (Bella Thompson) — Google review
Outstanding. This safari park covers a large area and harbors many animals. The animals have large amounts of space - you can’t possibly compare that to any other regular zoo out there. There’s also quite a few young animals, which you might not always see at first, but if you do it is always a beautiful sight, since it indicates how at home they feel here.
There are a lot of great animals to see here. One of my personal favorites were the ring-tailed lemurs. They roam completely free in their territory with no fences whatsoever. Fascinatingly, they are not shy or scared at all - in fact, they will walk onto the path all by themselves and happily let you come closer to observe them. A very unique experience.
The boat-safari gets you from one end of the park to the other within about 30 minutes, while also providing a small tour at the same time. You may see a few animals near the water, however, most of them will likely be pretty far away and you might not see much. There’s no guarantee.
The park offers multiple opportunities to get food, drinks, and all sorts of snacks. This includes restaurants and also small food stands. Most of it is quite expensive, so you might want to bring some things yourself too.
Overall, this might be the greatest animal park I have ever been to, and I can only recommend it. It is a wonderful, unforgettable experience and I had a really good time. The visit is definitely worth it.

Great spacious zoo/safari park which is ideal for a long walk. Plus side is that when you are tired of walking you can take the safari bus or boat back close to the entrance. Parking is not cheap, but also not overly expensive. Food is decent and on par with gas station prices. Park has a good variety of animals and is pretty well accessable.

Wonderful place, and a magical experience for the kids. We spent four days here and could have stayed longer. We opted to stay in a house on the edge of one of the animal enclosures (lodge 411) and woke up each morning to a rhino outside our house! Having not done an African safari I do however think this is the next best thing, especially at half the price.
There is so much to see and do, mixed together with the driving, walking and boat safaris, then you throw in the beach and lake resort and you can easily entertain yourself and the kids for a week or more. When booking our accommodation and tickets, you also get entry into lots of other local attractions, which we didn't even get a chance to do.
I would say the only downside was the food. The restaurants were expensive and there weren't a lot of options. The best one to eat at if you do choose to eat out is at Hogan House, as the buffet was good. However the upside to each of the restaurants are the views of the animals, and the fact they have play parks for the kids (although there isn't really any play equipment for under three). In our lodge you did have a kitchen so you could easily self cater, as there are supermarkets a short drive away from the resort.
I would 100% recommended this place to anyone who loves animals or wants a holiday with a bit of a twist. My only piece of advice would be to avoid trying to see the animals on a really hot day as they all hide in the shade. We did one walk on a scorching hot day and hardly saw any animals then the next day it rained and stormed in the morning, so by the afternoon it was much cooler and they were all out in force!

It is a very nice park. We did a bus safari. The bus driver was so enthusiastic. She told us nice stories about the park, the animals and it was really fun to listen to her. Then we did a preying bird safari. It was also a fascinating show. Those birds were so gracious to see. Besides, we walked through the park. It's beautiful. And animals do look happy there. But the cutest thing was to see the three little elephants. The smallest one was just three days old. Super cute!
People working there are so friendly! We enjoyed this experience.

We stayed at Beekse Bergen in a Giraffe House. The kids loved staying onsite. The park itself is well laid out and spacious. The bus safari was enjoyable, but unfortunately we understood nothing as it was in Dutch (obvs not their fault) but our kids got quite bored as a result. The playgrounds scattered around the park were amazing. There was a great selection of snacks and cafes. All well priced too. We spent a full day there and the kids had a blast. We would highly recommend Beekse Bergen to families with young children.

We loved the Night Safari. It was beautiful and the prettiest lights we’ve seen. We came right at 5:00 on a Sunday night so it was busy. There are staff directing parking so that’s nice. I recommend coming later after 5:00 so it’s not so congested. When we left around 6:30, it wasn’t crowded at the gate at all. We walked through the whole thing in an hour. There are food and drink booths in the middle of the loop, and there is the Winterplein at the beginning/end with more food and drinks. We had warm waffles and hot dogs (not bratwurst) and it was decent. There were also frites and snacks booths.

A very nice place to spend time with your family. A bit of long distances to get sometimes from one place to another, due to the size of the entire resort/safari, but I would not consider it that big of a problem. Enjoyable night light safari show, walking around with amazing light structure.
Oostvaardersplassen, a 56-square-kilometer nature reserve located between Almere and Lelystad, was originally intended to be an industrial area. However, the spontaneous settlement of diverse flora and fauna led to its transformation into a picturesque nature park. The reserve is home to various wildlife including birds, deer, foxes, cows, wild horses and more. Visitors can enjoy the sight of stunning wetlands, forests and beautiful flowers while walking along accessible paths.
Nice place for quiet and relaxing walk surrended by nature...

There is little in terms of flora in the Oostvaardersplassen - mostly nettles, thistles and reed. Larger trees, such as willows, are rotting away.
There are lits of birds, of course, but mostly very far off. Birdwatchers should bring binoculars and their 600mm lenses.
The highlight for me were the Konik horses, which can already be seen along the road leading to the visitors centre and in various other places.

Disney-like theme park with attractions including wooden roller coasters and water fountains, light show and fairytale-themed rides.
We have visited the location more of curiosity due to the fact we are not very much into amusement parks. But we had lots of fun in various places, from Max&Moritz to Baron... 😂. In the end we had a great day, full of everything. We'll return here gladly!
What I liked the most it was the fact that each attraction had a story behind and it was completely integrated in the park. Suitable for small kids or big kids just like myself turning 49 next month 😂

Loved it. We had a lovely day. Especially good for families with smaller kids. Nevertheless, there are great roller-coasters for older kids and adults. Super. Great park, with lots see and do. Would 100% recommend! Went with family of 4 people, 2 adults, 8yr old and 12 year old and all had a great time.
Ice skating was a lovely extra and very reasonably priced (2.5euro per person) Because we visited midweek in December (tuesday) there was pretty much no queues to get on any ride. Loved the atmosphere and it wasn't too far to walk anywhere to any of the rides or attractions. Attention to detail is great and the theme is carried throughout the park, really did feel like you were in a magical elf land.

In one word "mesmerizing experience"
Efteling has everything which you need for a relaxing and fun experience.
It has everything which you think of an amusement park. Started from rollercoasters, live shows, thrilling and theme based rides.
But, what I liked the most is the relaxing environment. It's not too busy and you feel like you are transported to a different world, where you can do a relaxing boat ride, listen and live the old Dutch stories ( My 6 years old son loved it ).
There are lots of eating places and everything is theme based.
We stayed at the Efteling facility, and it was amazing !
A few things to remember before planning your visit: if you are planning a day trip then create your itinerary prior to your visit. Download the Efteling app it has everything you know about the part.
If you are fun loving and want to do the rides then, try to come at 10 am ( when the park opens ) so you will have less waiting. Lots of indoor rides so the rain will not ruin your plan. And don't miss the live shows.
I stayed for a day so we were able to do most of the activities.
Overall a very nice stay and experience. We will visit again.

Was here back in 2019 on a school trip. Amazing theme park work plenty of rides for anyone who loves coasters. The atmosphere was great too and the music playing throughout the park added to the experience. Food was good and staff were friendly. It was pricey and queues were long but it was worth it! Definitely will return if I get the chance and I do recommend.

Really sweet and beautiful family park. The park does definitely have some larger rides (including Baron which was disappointingly closed both days we were there) but ultimately I think it's an ideal park for families. The number of ride and experiences that are perfectly catered to 8-13 year olds is just staggering, and easily as impressive as bigger parks like Disneyland Paris. The bigger rides are also really good and the food and drink offerings are some of the best value for any theme park I've ever visited.

Loved this place. First stop for our holiday to the Netherlands. We stayed in the hotel so could take our time going through the park. The wait times for the rides are generally 20 minutes. Far quicker than any theme park in the UK. Also the food and drink seem quite reasonably priced. Would recommend the Caro show if you get a chance to watch. Would go back again definitely! The app is also a must for directions and also giving you alerts for wait times for the rides.

The garden was wonderful and each section was more beautiful than the other. We spent a whole day in the garden and did not play all the games and see all the sections. I think the garden is enough for two days. There are also free offers throughout the day, many restaurants and gift shops, and also simple games for younger children, the place is organized It is tidy and clean, and each game has a different story. It is true that the queues are long, but everything is organized. Also, the workers there are nice and cooperative. I recommend it to everyone, and of course I will go again

An amusement park mainly for children, and a few roller coasters for adults, especially the scary Baron.
A wonderful talking tree that fascinates.
A city that is in panorama and with small details of life and trains.
And you should definitely stay in the evening for the musical fountain performance! It's magically aesthetic.

Nice place if you don’t want to go to Disneyland. This is like the mini Disney in NL if that makes sense. Going there when it is very cold is probably a bad idea though it is more beautiful when it has a winter vibe but maybe not wise.

Experience the magic at Efteling! We’ve seen so many videos of this amusement park and we finally made it there to visit. The tickets are so affordable and the park is stunning! Tons of attractions and rides for all ages, games, food and shopping!
This is one of the best parks you will experience for the price. Low key, chill and relaxing environment. I prefer this park over Dis—- because it’s so much more enjoyable and less people!
My favorite ride was the farting one. Hilarious and so creative. Can’t wait to visit there again soon. It’s great for all ages and even has playgrounds for the little ones.
Don’t forget to grab some pancakes while you’re there!! The pancake restaurant was the coolest!!
Purchase tickets online in advance and pay for parking right away. So simple to get in the park and same when you are leaving.

The place is awesome, so many rides and so thrilling fun. The only drawback was that when we were there, 3 main rides were closed. That’s why I took 1 star off. Always check the rides status before you plan your trip. We went in a weekday in March, the weather was good and the rides were not so busy. The fire and water show in the main lake at the end 18:00 was awesome as well. The staff is very friendly and always willing to help. The best thing was that they would take care of my daughter who was too small to sit on bigger rides while I was enjoying the rides. :) the Fairly takes rides were so nice my daughter and I loved that the most. :)
Will visit again when all rides are open. Always keep in mind that you need at least the entire day for the park.

A lot of similarities to Disneyland except the themes are different. Very detailed and the atmosphere is great. Queues waiting times were way too long for a week day though, could get to 1+ hours on the bigger coasters.

An amazing weekend spent here! We stayed in a wonderful woodland cottage in the village of Bosrijk, which was only a 10 minute walk to the park. Staying on site allowed us early entry into the park each day, which meant we were able to tick off some of the bigger rides before the ques got too long. However across the whole weekend we were there the longest wait time was only 40 minutes.
There is so much to do, and the kids loved it, ours range in age from 10 to 2 and they all were entertained the whole time. You can add on a photo pass which means you get all of your ride photos and any meet and greet pics across the time you are there.
Food wise, there are lots of fast food snacks and treats and some restaurants even have special treats for the kids, such as games, plates and glasses you can take home with you.
We loved it so much we are thinking about going back at Christmas.

Very satisfying!
Not the DISNEY style,
but the mood lasts no less than its.
You can see lots of details in all aspects,
and you may not like them all but they all maters!
From their website, APP(IT’S BRILLIANT), the design of all the attractions, to the activities from on-line to on-site, they are just amazing.
The history and the importance in the Dutch people are no need to be mentioned any more.
Everyone should come and experience this amazing place! It’s the old story but in an easygoing-yet-not-boring-at-all style.
Michael Wu — Google review
It was such a lovely experience & even if you booked tickets for a full day, you’re unable to see all their attractions!
Two downsides would be the very long cues & nearly hour of waiting for the rides plus when buying hotdogs or food they don’t use gloves & hair caps which is unhygienic.
Alexandra Beliciu — Google review
Amazing family day out. Great mix of rides for all ages. Reasonably priced snack stands with delicious waffles, hot donuts, french fries etc. Download the app before you go, add rides to your favourites list and check out wait times. 10/10 for families. We can't wait to go back!

I’ve been to the Efteling on and off again in the past 5 years. With our most recent visit, it’s time to put it all down in a few words!
The Efteling is truly a magical place where you can spend hours without even noticing. It’s fun for the entire family: kids, teens and adults. The attractions are thrilling (like the Baron) and expertly themed (like droomvlucht). If you are thinking of visiting (which I highly recommend) make sure to check a few things:
- if you visit with younger children, take your time. Two days instead of a single day will allow you to go through the park at your own pace. Make sure to book a lodging at one of their resorts!
- try to visit on less busy days! Their website has great information on when the less busy days will be
- don’t forget to look at their website to find which rides are open and which aren’t! Don’t be surprised when you arrive, as some attractions undergo maintenance during the less busy months (mostly in the winter and spring)
Have fun!

Loved this place, we spent two days here and stayed at a euro park camping site 10 minutes drive away. Lots to see and do, definitely need a few days. I would recommend using the app to get around as it's a big place, lots of rides my 5 year old could go on and loads of eateries and toilets scattered about.
I would go to the big restaurant towards the top end of the park for lunch as it has a wide choice of meals. There was a really chilled out boat ride for when you need a break and the ques are fairly quick.
Obviously the large rides have bigger ques, the Barron roller coaster had a 45 minute wait but that was the longest and we were there during the Easter half term.
Parking was very easy and a very short wait to get into the park. All in all it was really easy, stress free and fun. The only thing I would say is that a lot of the shows and dialogue on rides is only in Dutch so you can miss some of the information but honestly I hardly noticed.
I would definitely come back here. Also don't miss the water fountain show at the end of the day.
Just a small warning but also look out for the road dividers on the road running alongside the park when you drive in, one of them was poking out which we hit and gave us a flat tyre.

The Efteling is consistently enjoyable, regardless of crowd size or closures. During my recent visit, construction was underway on the parking lot, entrance, several attractions, and a new hotel. While these constructions detracted from the visual appeal and somewhat dampened the atmosphere, I still had a fantastic time. The park's charm persists, especially in the smaller fairy tales. I highly recommend visiting the Efteling, as I have always done and will continue to do so.
Bjorn “Walkx” Lammers — Google review
Very nice amusement park for everyone from kids to thrill seeking teens to adults. Very busy on weekends or holidays so plan well in advance and avoid busy days for smaller wait time on attractions. We went on a middle of a week on a rainy day yet wait times for the big coasters were 10-15min so imagine the case on a summer day. Lots of restaurants inside and food is not too expensive. We enjoyed our meal at the La Place Buffet. The end was very nice coz of an amazing fountain show.

Fantastic theme park, fairy take theme with a nice mix of rides from extreme to super-mild, and animations. Price fair, lower than most, incl done places with far less. Queues low to reasonable (no fast track option but many rides have sole-rider queues), only one ride bad all day. Only food could be better, though less rubbish than most theme parks (and it’s almost all tasty). Could use more coffee availability. Especially recommend the fairy dreamhouse, what they call the “madhouse”, the light show and the beautifully restored ancient carousel. Staff friendly and helpful.

Lovely park, every detail is well thought and has personality. For sure worth the visit and the experience of immersing yourself in another world. The rides were also quite nice, it’s a great place to bring kids as well, anyways, I’m looking forward to come back in a warmer day!

Absolutely fantastic theme park. The entire park is extremely well maintained, very clean and so much to see. There’s something going on everywhere you look.
Rides are not as extreme as at places like Alton Towers but the park in general is far superior.
There were minimal queues when we went on a Monday but we still didn’t manage to see everything. Make sure you get there early!
Craig Jenkins — Google review
What an amazing experience!! Best 8 hours I’ve spent at sub-zero temperatures in my life. Could easily have stayed longer. The rides were great and all the themed displays inspiring. I can well imagine that it can get quite full when it’s warmer, but we did not have any queues on the day.
The Spoorweg Museum is a national railway museum located in Utrecht, Netherlands. It houses an extensive collection of artifacts, models, locomotives and steam trains, making it a great place to explore for train enthusiasts of all ages. During Christmas time, the museum is filled with festive markets and shows.
The best railway museum ever. Simulators and rollercoaster is also available here without a surplus. Recommended time for visit is 3-4 hours. You can reach it by train Ticket office is available during the opening hours, offline and online tickets has the same price.

Great museum about the history of the railroad in the Netherlands. The exhibition is extremely large and is ideal for children and adults. I especially liked the historic station building and the various interactive elements. What was great was that I was also able to enter various carriages. Visitors should plan four hours for the exhibition. The on-site team was extremely friendly and helpful. Tickets can be purchased at the ticket office or in advance online.

An excellent day out. They are renovating the back section at the moment, so the miniature railway ride and freight train simulator experience are both shut, but the rest of the museum was still well worth visiting.
The Steel Monsters exhibit was very well put together.
The day we visited (a weekday in April) was relatively quiet. It was nice that they still put on a train from Utrecht Centraal to the museum even when it isn't overly busy. Great for families!
The kids science sections were a hit, some really thorough explanations on how trains work!

We went to the winter wonderland here and had the best time. Activities included ice skating, a carousel and a family photo! There was also a show on outside. We enjoyed the fresh hot donuts and toasting our own marshmallows.
Highly recommend this place. Staff were friendly too.

We went to this museum with my 5 year old son at the weekend. Access to the museum is really easy, walking distance from Utrecht Centraal train station. If you are coming by car, it has its own parking lot right in front of it. You can use this car park for 9.50 Euros. Museumkaart is valid. Inside, you can find everything about trains. It is also very fun for children because there are some special activities for them. For example, there is a special little train and dresin for them in the children's playground outside. You can take a journey from the first steam train in the Netherlands to the present day. You can also go 200 years ago with a time machine and visit a Dutch town that existed at that time. We spent about 4 hours and I advise you to spend at least half a day here.

Great museum for kids, they absolutely love it. Has a couple of nice attractions as well: virtual reality train driving, a small ride, elevator that brings you to ancient times. The only thing that was disappointing was the actor in the Theatre who clearly did not like kids which he expressed for about three times.

The Utrecht Railway Museum is a gem for both young and old alike. This museum, dedicated to the fascinating world of railways, offers an authentic journey through time with its collection of genuine railway relics.
Whether you're a railway enthusiast or simply looking for a fun and educational family outing, this place is highly recommended.
The museum's exhibits are not only informative but also beautifully curated, providing a rich historical perspective on the development of railways. Also you must visit the activity in 6D of driving a train. It's a great opportunity to explore vintage locomotives, carriages, and even step inside some of them.
The interactive displays and engaging activities make it an ideal destination for children, ensuring they'll have a blast while learning about the history of the railway. Overall, the Utrecht Railway Museum is a must-visit attraction that promises a memorable experience for all ages.

I highly recommend seeing this museum if you come to Utrecht. We decided to pay a visit as the weather wasn't great and we weren't disappointed at all. It's huge inside with so much to see and do. Super interactive activities for the children and lots facts to be learned. They installed a winter station as it's Christmas so it's a bonus. There were ice rink and eat and drink places. We came after 3pm so only 10 Euro per head to be paid as a discounted fare (but you have to reserve your place online in advance during festive season). Both adults and children would thoroughly enjoy it.

The Dom Tower is a 112m-high church tower in Utrecht that provides stunning views of the city. It is part of a 14th-/15th-century cathedral complex that was destroyed by a freak hurricane in 1674. The tower can be climbed by guided tour only and offers unbeatable city views.
If ever visited Utrecht , don’t miss the place! It’s really worth to discover. Ticket costed 10 Euro with a guide!

It takes an hour to walk top to bottom. The walk up is broken up into stages of 3 or four stops. The guides are very informative and open to questions. It was in Dutch and English on our trip up. The tower is covered in scaffolding due to restoration work that in due to finish sometime in 2024. Still worth it. 12.50€ per person.

Located in the center of the city and being the landmark of Utrecht and the tallest church tower in the Netherlands are enough reasons to want to visit this great tower. It might be tiring to get on top and a little bit clestophobic but the view of the city i totally worthy of them. The guided tour was great and you learn great information about the history of the city and its changes in time.

The landmark of Utrecht! Can’t wait for the maintenance to be completed in 2024 and for the scaffolding to be removed. Still a beautiful site though and a great climb to the top.

Climbed it on the 1st of July. First day it reopened after some time. It was my 4th or 5th time that I climbed it. It’s always a nice experience climbing the stairs of the tower and the explanation that the guide gives on the three different levels where you have a short break before reaching the top. But at the end the main attraction is the view from the top. With the construction still going on the view is limited. Be aware of that! But if your main goal is to learn about the history, see it from the inside and having the experience of climbing to the top then you will not be disappointed.

I visited Dom Tower on a Friday afternoon and took the guided tour of the tower. The tour involves climbing up ~460 stairs to reach the top of the tower along with a tour guide and we stop at 4 stages inside the tower. The stairs get narrower as we climb up and it can feel claustrophobic but the view of the city from the top of the tower is breathtaking! It is an amazing experience to see the giant bells of the tower from close quarters. Kudos to the guide for being so well informed; she gave the tour in both English and Dutch and had the answers to all the questions from the group about the history of the tower.
The only con is that the tower is undergoing restoration work till 2024 so the entire tower is obstructed by scaffolding.

A must visit when you explore Utrecht. Even with the construction which prevent you from going all the way to the top, its worth it.
Beware, you will have to climb up the stairs which could be quite challenging and it one of the most fun tour I’ve gotten. You feel feel accomplished by having climbed the tower.
Also, not expensive and quite the experience!

The iconic landmark of Utrecht. Currently it is only possible to enjoy the top of the tower. The full restauration of the tower would be finished in 2025. It is visible from most places in the city and it is the tallest tower of its type in the Netherlands.

A great guided tour brings you to the very top of this landmark. Unfortunately it was rainy and foggy so the spectacular view was limited. 465 steps, no elevator. Not for the faint-hearted.

Tour guide was great at explaining the history of the tower.
Do keep in mind that the view at the top was disappointing due to the current scaffolding (which is only coming down in 2024) if you plan on visiting soon.
Jia Wei Lim — Google review
The tower is under construction until spring 2024. If, ahead of the visit, I'd realised that the scaffolding obstructed the view so badly I would have avoided going all the way up the 460+ stairs it takes to get up to the top and came back when it was all removed.
Would have rated 5 stars otherwise.
That being said, the guide was great, very knowledgeable and gave the tour in both English and Dutch. It was great being in the bell tower and being up close to them.
The stairs on the way up get progressively narrow and claustrophobic on way up and can be exhausting so do bear that in mind too before going up.

Tower is under construction, so the view on the top is terrible.
Stairs to the top are very narrow and claustrophobic.
The tickets should have been discounted, since the view is very limited.
You will be able to explore the canals of Utrecht on a pedal boat ride with Stromma Utrecht Canal Tours, which is an authorized tour company. You will have to pay an admission fee, but this is well worth it as you get to see many beautiful sights while riding on the boats. The ride takes about 90 minutes and you can go at your own pace so that you can enjoy the views and atmosphere of this Dutch city.
It's the second time we've tried to swim, we really like it, the biggest route is very beautiful, you can see everything.

The guy working here was friendly and realistic, he was appreciated. However , the boats themselves were filthy, felt like they were going to sink and an absolute chore to ride! Felt like we had done a marathon and the allotted time isn’t enough to relax, you have to pedal the whole time. No clear signage as to the right canal you’re on.
Caïna Verrin — Google review
Nice service with a fair price! The boats however are very uncomfortable and they don't move that efficiently given the power used. It will absolutely take you the 2h they say, so don't think you can go super fast and finish sooner, especially in a sunny day. The view that boat offers is quite unique, especially the first part. In case you are short, you can use your backpack as an extension on the seat to be more comfortable, my girlfriend liked it.

Went to Utrecht for a day out of Amsterdam. As a group of four we almost skipped this canal tour booth until one of us pointed it out.
We each had to then pay an admission fee, but once that was done we were to hop onto a four man pedal boat and explore the canals of this Dutch city.
We were completely blown away with the views and overall friendly atmosphere of the city. The ride takes about 90 minutes but you get to see so much at your own pace and have a fun time doing it.

Very easy and nice way to see the canals in Utrecht. Yes you must pedal yourself but for us this was way better than sitting on a boat packed with other tourists! And cost effective with different canal choices you can make yourself.

The Large Church Breda, also known as Our Dear Mother Church, is a Catholic church that was built between 1410 and 1547 in the Latin cross-plan style. The church's ornate tower-spire, which was completed in 1509, is considered one of the most beautiful in the Netherlands. It stands at a height of 97m and remains an iconic symbol of old Breda.

The Gothic-style Grote Kerk (Great Church) in Breda is a true architectural marvel that transports visitors to a bygone era. This 15th-century church, adorned with an imposing 97-meter tower, is a proud testament to the city's rich history and artistic heritage.
As you step inside, the church's intricate stained glass windows, vaulted ceilings, and mesmerizing frescoes capture your attention. The delicate balance between light and shadow, coupled with the choir's hauntingly beautiful melodies, create a serene atmosphere that envelops you in its embrace.
One of the church's main attractions is the exquisite Prince's Chapel, a breathtaking example of Dutch Renaissance art. The ornate tombs of the House of Nassau are another must-see, showcasing Breda's historical significance.
In summary, the Grote Kerk of Breda is a Gothic masterpiece that should not be missed. Its captivating architecture, rich history, and peaceful ambiance make it an unforgettable experience.

A church in the heart of Breda, it shows remarkable architecture with sealing paintings which are heavenly, and makes you forget about the world outside these holy walls... really a must see while visiting Breda

Simple gorgeous church. Definitely worth a visit if you are in Breda. They open the towel passage during special events. You can oversee the beautiful city of Breda.

I’ve been there on weekends when had some festival. It was very nice city and the church is in the center area but little bit sad we couldn’t get in because of the renovated. But it look beautiful from outside.
The Museum Hoorn-Medemblik, situated in the charming city of Hoorn in the Netherlands, is a captivating destination for history buffs and train lovers alike. Housed within a 19th-century station, this unique museum offers an immersive journey into the past with its remarkable collection of lovingly restored vintage steam trains and carriages. Visitors have the opportunity to embark on a nostalgic ride aboard a working steam tram, experiencing the allure of early 20th-century travel.
It was such a wonderful day trip with stoomtrum under the blue sky. You’ll see the colorful tulip gardens from the SL. Kids must love to watch the view. Small snacks help your trip even more attractive.

What a wonderful adventure! Feels like you’ve travelled through time.
There is a little cafe and museum at the station. The train has a stop at another station on the way to Medemblick, where you can explore how it looked in the past.
The road is especially beautiful when the tulip fields are blooming!

Nice place to visit, nice train ride, go take the ride, with your family, kids friends partner, you can choice the after the ride to Medemblik to go further by boat or ride back, you have time then you ride back to see Medemblik and when you back in Hoorn you can see the town too

The steam tram commences from this point. Make sure you get your tickets in advance for easy boarding. Though they sell tickets on the location as wel. Here u find their museum shop a small museum and a cafe you can get a quick bite. Parking is in the weekend for free but check as in NL that may change.

Good day out for kids (family) who loves trains. The train and boat ride was great. The route followed by train was pleasant. Museum staffs were friendly.

Perfect! Enjoy the steam train ride from Hoorn to Medemblik, then the boat trip around the coastline. Wonderful experience and all easily accessible via the NS stations.

Amazing ride on a Christmas steam train. Great experience for kids to travel on a real steam train and also meet Santa and get a little present. And the tour of the museum on the way back, that was also very interesting and fun. Totally recommend for the families with kids, or even babies.

This train only departs 4 times a year and only in April. Which make the experience authentic. If you are lucky with the weather this is an absolute blast. Super friendly staff who are mostly retired employees. The train itself is really clean and the scenery is amazing. Although, if there were more tulip fields you would have been happier but in general really interesting experience. Don’t forget to bring some snack or even buy the lunch that the train offers, just remember you have to pick up the lunch before getting on the train.

Fantastic day out, we took the train, then the boat, I would recommend this. Friendly staff. All 3 towns a very nice, good eating places. Makes a great day out. Easy to get to Hoorn by train from Amsterdam.

Beautiful to see all of these steam trains in working condition. The ride with Bello was amazing. The staff was super friendly and inviting. They're happy to show you every bit of their steam engines. 5 out of 5 stars without a doubt!

Big thanks to all people who work for this project! Very friendly and helpful stuff.
I only expected that it will be just a train ride.. But it was a whole entertainment! All those.. actors dressed in retro clothes and uniform, old Citroën from 1953, nicely decorated station in Twisk and not to forget beautiful farms and landscapes, great weather - that was all details which made our trip sooo wonderful and unforgettable!
Everything is so good organized:
we bought an option with train ride from Hoorn to Medemblik, then we had an hour in the last station (to discover beautiful old center and yacht harbor)
Then boat trip from Medemblik to Zuiderzeemuseum and we spent the rest of the day there.
It’s all convenient with times, place of departure and arrival. There is map with tour details and places to see, you can order lunch or just drinks (while the stop pause in Twisk in the train, or on a boat, or then in museum)
First we had purchased tickets for certain day in August but due to train failure from Amsterdam to Hoorn for few hours we were not able to come.. Big thanks to all employees who helped us with rescheduling our trip and finding possibility to have sits on other suitable day. Great people!
The entrance price, including audio-guide and raising to the tower is 4 💶. From the top of the tower you can enjoy an amazing view, find Rotterdam as well. The service women are very friendly. Amazing! 🤩 😍

Beautiful church with a very nice exhibition of religious paintings. Although I am not a religious person, I really liked the paintings.

Beautiful church building and pipe organ. Much history about the Synod of Dort that partially happened here.
Go to the tower when the bells are about ready to chime on the hour. Interesting to think about all the others who have taken those narrow steps for the last 500+ years.
Prices are very reasonable, and you'll receive a friendly welcome.

A nice big church in the city centre, with a beautiful interior. The staff at the entrance were very kind. They give you a pamphlet at the start which gives a detailed overview of everything inside the church. Climbing up the tower was a nice experience, and the view at the top is fantastic

The DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Amsterdam Centraal Station is a modern hotel with a rooftop lounge, gym and grill. The rooms offer free Wi-Fi, mini-fridges and computers that can be used as TVs. It also features a fitness center and bicycles to rent.
Three great nights. Perfection everywhere. We were given a room upgrade without asking. Hotel is well located, everything is on a walking distance. Best part of this hotel is their staffs. Be it receptionist, restaurant staffs or housekeeping staffs everyone is highly hospitable. I will definitely recommend this Hotel to all those people who wish for for the great stay.

1 night stay here, it didn't disappoint as the location was great. The hotel really clean, nice staff and good fitness centre. In my room I had really nice views.
Only a few minutes walk from Central Station, the hotel couldn't be in a better location.
I felt it was a little on the pricey side for what you get, hence the 4 stars. However I would stay again for sure.

'Ello chaps!
DoubleTree by Hilton Amsterdam Centraal Station is located - as the name implies - literally next to Amsterdam Centraal Station. It's one of just a few hotels this close to the station, which is a big plus.
Checking in, service was great - friendly and attentive.
There are 11 floors to the building, with a bar/nightclub at the top. This is one of the downsides to the hotel in that for a couple of nights, the music was a bit loud and could clearly be heard while trying to sleep.
The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable.
The hotel is located in a great part of downtown, so it's easy to go out and explore by foot or to meet up for a tour or hop on public transportation if that's what you're doing.
We explored town by foot without a problem.
There are bikes available for rent - at 15 euro per day - and come with bike locks.
There is a gym on site (did not inspect) but beyond this there are few amenities. Although there are ice machines on select floors.
Overall I give DoubleTree four stars out of five.

Nice hotel located in a premier location (near Amsterdam Centraal) station. All key attractions are at a walking distance.
You can enjoy the view no matter which room you select which is a bonus point. Staff members are friendly and helpful.
Highly recommended.

Amazing location and even better staff! What a wonder 3 days we just spent at this Hilton property. The room was very clean and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. We had a balcony room overlooking the city and it was just breathtaking. Go up to the rooftop bar too, you won’t be disappointed. It was so easy to walk to places or catch the tram. Oh and the breakfast was great too, a nice way to start your day each morning. Thank you for making our visit a comfortable one it means a lot when you are traveling far from home.

We stayed in DoubleTree Central Station Amsterdam and we really enjoyed our little holidays! Rooms were spacious, clean and with an amazing view! The breakfast was ONE OF THE BEST I ever saw! People were so nice.
Location is fantastic only few minutes walking from central station and 3 minutes walking from the main streets.
Looking forward to come back in our next visit to Amsterdam!!!

Amazing experience overall. Location is very convenient. We had amazing views, the rooftop terrace was marvellous, the design, the service, everything. Breakfast selection was really wide. What I did not like a bit, the downstairs toilets’ cleanliness… it looked liked a pub’s toilet. I was surprised a bit. Also we had the previous guest’s trash in front of our door during the whole stay. Despite of this, the stay was really nice, highly recommend.

Location is perfect and the general maintenance and room conditions are way better than most of the hotels. I assume that rooms have been renovated because there was some people around Hotel for construction so you can easily feel accommodation is more than what you expect. rooms might be a little bit smaller than usual hotel rooms but in Europe this is very acceptable.
Breakfast staff was very polite and helpful only because of the physical capacity of the breakfast room it is little bit crowded. You may find pretty much very good selection of breakfast choices.
We had executive lounge access, but unfortunately had no chance to catch any time to see any complimentary offer or something to eat and executive lounge is not serving for breakfast as well. That area more likely there because of their corporate standards which very clear they don’t want to run.
However unfortunately some staff members are extremely snob and trying to teach you their(Hilton) behaviour instead of taking care of their guests. Personally I’m always having hard time to understand why people expect you to know their corporate standards or how they run their business from their guests if I’m not working in that company and instead of trying to be host, they’re just becoming a teacher, why and how you should do what and that is why they’re not going to help you. on my trip, I do not want to learn your procedures I believe companies should make their guests life much more easier ,safe and memorable.
They just talk you like a machine with no feelings there are some people at the desk which you may easily understand they are in the wrong business. They’re just doing business not a hospitality.
I will not mention all incidents one by one but I personally and constructively advise to the Hilton management to take a time to observe their staff members while they are serving to hotel guests ,no smile or fake smile with an attitude that should be observed.
I’m so glad that there was couple of good staff members who were really taking care of the guests. Definitely try the hotel but expect minimum service from the desk.

This hotel is at the perfect location. Eastwood bar and grill is very tasty and you have to visit the roof top bar for the views. The rooms are a good size but we had to call twice to have our towels changed. This hotel welcomes pets and it shows on the chairs in the room.

We just stayed here last month. The location of this hotel is fantastic because it’s only 5 minutes walking from Amsterdam Central Station.
One major flaw with this hotel: the room lighting. The indoor climate control consists of bright LED lights which brighten the room at night. It’s impossible to sleep. The interior architect really failed on this design. What an amateur.
On the positive side, the restaurant has a gorgeous breakfast. The Sky bar has nice views. The staff are really friendly.

I recently went back to the DoubleTree Amsterdam Station, where I had stayed when it first opened. While the hotel has aged fairly well, it could definitely use some touch-ups. On the plus side, the staff were super friendly and helpful throughout my stay.
I had a balcony room with a nice view, but it was pretty pricey considering the room's condition. The bedroom fixtures and fittings were a bit worn, and there was some mold in the bathroom. The room size and amenities were similar to a Premier Inn in the UK, which was kind of a letdown given the cost. One thing to note for light sleepers or those who nap during the day: the upper-floor balcony rooms might experience some noise from drilling and banging due to the ongoing rooftop terrace renovation just above the rooms.
The executive lounge was a chill spot for breakfast, way more relaxed than the packed main restaurant. However, the wine time offerings were nothing special – think airport lounge vibes with cellophane-wrapped cheese sandwiches. Also, it's worth mentioning that the lounge serves alcohol for only about an hour per day, which feels like the bare minimum.
All in all, the folks at DoubleTree Amsterdam Station were great and always ready to help. But the rooms could use some sprucing up to justify the price. I'd give this hotel a 3.5/5 – not bad, but there's room to make it better.

Super location, 5 min walk from Centraal Station. Comfortable accommodations, efficient use of limited space. Anna greeted us at the desk, we were early for check in time. The room wasn't ready but empty, so house keeping did a rush. We waited in the executive lounge, for about 90 min doing some computer work on the free WiFi.
My wife went to the desk at 3pm and the room was ready. Jerome helped us with some travel tips regarding the tram, printing some passes for us. He was wealth of information as a concierge, thank you.
The room had a great view of Amsterdam, the balcony was very nice! We had a terrific time and will be back. For a 3 night stay we were able to enjoy various parts of the city from such as perfect location.
The staff was excellent!

Great location. Near the train station: the hop on hope off center, old town, red light district, and plenty of restaurants and markets. Love the breakfast buffet at the hotel. We had a great view of the harbor on the 10th floor.

Great hotel! Not the friendliest staff but everything else was great! So many activities and restaurants are in walking distance which was really convenient. Stayed at this hotel after Tomorrowland W1 and it was very nice being right next to the train station which got us to and from the festival in Belgium. Would definitely stay here again. Great views as well.

Stayed in a King deluxe city view last week. Location is good. Room was nice enough
Construction in the area means it takes a bit longer to get there.
Check in was very disappointing. Arrived at 1pm in the pouring rain. I was told my room wasn't ready but check in is at 3. So come back around 230. I arrived at 2:18 and was told by the front desk that my room is ready. But it would be 45 euro to access it before 3.
As I wait in the lobby, another person came in and they were told the same thing. At 2:40pm, it would be 45 euro to access the room early. Meanwhile the hotel lobby was overflowing with stored luggage, as people waited for their rooms.
Finally, I had forgotten a small tote bag in the room with a few items inside. I contacted the hotel within 1.5 hours of departure. They asked for a confirmation of the contents and type of bag. Called me back and told me that they had it and could come get it anytime.
Upon my return to the hotel from another city. I was told they didn't have my bag. They found something similar. But it wasn't mine and was empty. I asked if I could go check the room as it was a small bag. And I was told no, It's an impossibility that it would be missed by their cleaning crew
That being said. Way better hotels in better locations for similar prices. Unless you're booking with Hilton points, stay elsewhere

Best location. We stayed on the weekend, and the cost of accommodation was about 190€. The room had a garden view, and it was close to the room across from it, so it wasn't private, so you had to keep the curtains closed. The room size is too small over cost of accommodation. The shower booth is also smaller than expected.. There is a mini refrigerator, electric kettle, capsule coffee machine, electric iron, and safe. There is a cafe and restaurant in the lobby, and the lounge has a nice atmosphere and a great cocktail bar.

This hotel is situated in a prime location. It is close to the train station and to all the tourist areas you would want to see in this beautiful city, and all within walking distance. Our check-in experience was amazing! Check-in representative, Juan and duty manager, Ivan explained all about the available amenities at the hotel. We enjoyed the decadent Doubletree cookies at check-in as well as several other times during our five-night stay. We received a much-appreciated upgraded room as well as some niceties waiting for us upon entering our room.
We enjoyed the wonderful breakfast buffet each morning which included scrambled eggs, and all your breakfast sides as well as cold cuts, breads/pastries and so much more. You can also get made to order eggs/omelet or crepe. We enjoyed some beverages in the lobby bar one evening, but did not venture up to the rooftop bar, so I cannot comment on that.
The only negative thing we had was some issues with the climate control temperature in our room. It got a little warm and when we called for maintenance to rectify the situation, we were told that they could "reset" the system remotely. Unfortunately, these resets did not work, and we ended up opening the windows to cool down our room. A maintenance technician eventually did come up to the room and rectify the situation. All in all, our stay was pleasant and would definitely stay here again. It all started with an exceptionally warm welcome from Juan and Ivan.

This is a well located hell close to Centraal Station in Amsterdam. The hotel had one amazing service experience and one poor one. Within 40 mintues of checking into my room, I was treated to a free cocktail (made to order in the hallway). While this is partially due to my Hilton status, it was impressive. However, my room service breakfast did not arrive on time and I had to head to the airport without. Overall, I'd stay again - great location and service.

Excellent hotel, room with a view was great. Staff were friendly and attentive - I had the do not disturb sign on my door whenever housekeeping came by, the staff would phone my room each night to ask if I needed housekeeping or anything else as they’d noticed housekeeping hadn’t done my room earlier. Good location, very short walk from Amsterdam Centraal Train Station.
Worth heading up to the SkyLounge if you can to check it out but there’s often queues and the wait can be an hour or so. Would be nice if priority was given to hotel guests over others.
Not the cheapest hotel but not outrageous either, I’d stay here again when visiting Amsterdam without hesitation.

Great location next to the main train station and the city center. Staff was very friendly, breakfast was fantastic and everything was clean. Room is starting to show some wear and tear, bed was too firm, our shower didn’t drain at first but they did fix quickly and the executive lounge is essentially just a place to sit unless it’s breakfast/happy hour. Room is also kind of plain, could use some decoration/color. Views however are great!

What an incredible hotel. I was very surprised at how accommodating the staff was to all of our special requests. The executive lounge is a huge bonus. The rooftop bar had great views, but too much interior light pollution, so you can't see anything but a reflection.
The rooms are clean and well kept. Very spacious.

We arrived here later than we planned due to our train being cancelled mid trip. However, we didn’t encounter any issues finding the hotel as it is next to Amsterdam Centraal. We were thankful we booked this hotel months earlier as we were tired from the trip to Amsterdam.
Checking in, Jaime was very efficient and he also upgraded our room from a Queen Suite to a King Suite. It was very much appreciated. The King Suite is excellent. The view is amazing and there is ample room to rest after a long day of exploring the city. My 6 year old daughter declared it the best hotel room she’s ever been in. I’m much older than 6 and, honestly, I can say the same.
The mini fridge is a true mini fridge so we were able to store milk, yogurt and water (to keep cool).
Breakfast is served downstairs and you are greeted and welcomed warmly. The food options are great here. Many of the Hilton staples plus some local ones as well. My wife enjoyed the pastries. I particularly liked the sausages.
You can order eggs from the waitstaff if you don’t mind the wait. I’m guessing many guests also order eggs.
The executive lounge is small here. It’s not very big so the tables fill up quickly. We never had a chance to sit here to enjoy the snacks, but we managed to take some snacks and enjoyed them in our room.
Housekeeping does a very good job at keeping the room clean. They also left us a bottle of water in the mini fridge which was appreciated.
Checking out was quick as well. Just some confirmations and we were out in 5 minutes.
Overall, when we come back to Amsterdam, we will definitely stay here again.

Lovely modern hotel in a great location. We received a warmed cookie on arrival which was a lovely touch! Friendly and professional staff who often checked that we had everything we needed. Only negative is the lobby is a bit sad and the breakfast room is VERY loud.

My family and I had a really wonderful stay at the DoubleTree Amsterdam Centraal Station. Prior to checking in, I was upgraded to a suite, which was very helpful as we were traveling with a baby. As it turned out, the room we stayed in had just been renovated and was very nice and brand new. The room was super comfortable and had great views of Amsterdam. All of the staff we interacted with were wonderful and super helpful. Any requests we made were addressed promptly and efficiently. Special shout out to the staff at breakfast each morning. They were especially lovely and welcoming - Roberto in particular made our son laugh and was very playful with him. We really appreciate that kind of interaction from staff - it makes us feel so welcomed. The hotel is superbly situated and makes arriving from the main train station super easy and convenient. All of the best sites of Amsterdam are easily walkable from the hotel. This hotel has all of the amenities one could need for a relaxing and enjoyable stay in Amsterdam. Thank you to all of the staff for their hard work, we really appreciate it and hope to be back soon!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Amsterdam and overall, it was a fantastic experience. The hotel itself is beautiful and the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. The location was perfect, with easy access to public transportation and many attractions within walking distance.
The room was spacious and well-appointed, with modern amenities and a comfortable ambiance. The only downside of my stay was the bathroom, which was not very functional. The layout and design could have been improved to make it more convenient for guests.
Additionally, while the mattress was comfortable overall, I did find it somewhat uncomfortable at times. It could have been a bit softer and more supportive.
Despite these minor drawbacks, I would still highly recommend the DoubleTree by Hilton in Amsterdam. The excellent service, stunning hotel, and convenient location make it a great choice for anyone visiting the city.

Definitely recommend. Pricey but worth it.
Lovely location, right on the canal. Shop right next to it. And there’s restaurants and bars inside the hotel.
Only fault was the air con in our room wasn’t working so it was quite stuffy in the room.

DoubleTree by Hilton Amsterdam surpassed all my expectations during my recent visit. Situated in an excellent location near the train station, it provided easy access to all that Amsterdam has to offer. As a Diamond member, I enjoyed access to the executive lounge and relished the complimentary breakfast, which was delicious and satisfying. The hotel's attention to detail, from the impeccable rooms to the attentive service, made me feel truly pampered throughout my stay. I highly recommend DoubleTree by Hilton Amsterdam to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient stay in the city. It's an experience worth every penny!
The Heineken Experience is a museum and beer tour of Heineken's original Amsterdam brewery. This famous brewery is still family-owned and provides an easy quintessential Amsterdam experience for visitors. The museum and beer tour give visitors an educational backstage tour of the famous brewery and its brewing vessels.
I don’t drink beer but wanted to learn. I was skeptical about the experience when I heard it was self guided. However, you’re not just reading information for the tour it is broken up with animated, happy, funny guides explaining and educating throughout. The staff is all young and healthy and fun and it seems like they all had a great time working but they are also working hard and the experience is efficient and well run. They also have these experiences where are you are they are being made and a chance or you can make free funny videos of yourself. It’s really genius actually. Again, I don’t even drink beer but I found this experience to be really interesting and fun. We were highly impressed by the staff and the variety. They do have alcohol free beer.

Amazing experience - so so worth it! My boyfriend wanted to visit here, but I enjoyed it as well and it ended up being our favourite Amsterdam activity.
The museum is interesting, and has a lot of interactive parts + guided rooms. Their tour guides were entertaining and knowledgeable.
You end up getting 3 beers included with your tickets per person, and you can even have a go pouring your own drink. Overall, so so worth the price of the ticket.

Visited with a big group and was excited as had heard a lot of positive reviews about the place, but it kind of didn't live upto the hype. I had the notion that you get to see actual beer getting manufactured and they also have a session on beer like how to pour a proper glass etc. But it's more like a museum. A few games and activities were okayish. You get 2 tokens which can be used to get 2 glass of beers in a good pub like setting which was fun.
But overall if you are on a short trip would rather go for a cruise or enjoy some of the cafes instead of visiting this place

This is a review of the VIP experience. From start to finish, the whole experience was amazing. A small group (5-8 people) provided a nice tour of the facility with areas not seen with the standard tour. The guide we had was fantastic, and the tasting in the private bar was superb. I would definitely recommend the VIP tour for those who like Heineken or just love touring beer breweries.

We had an awesome time at the Heineken museum - not what I expected at all. Many interactive guides along the way and a chance to taste the beer at different stops. The best part of the tour was the pouring challenge at the very end of the tour. A fun place to go with friends or with beer lovers!

Had a great experience here. Wasn't the biggest fan of Heineken in the US because it had a metallic taste (to me), drinking it out of a bottle. But the beer here, right out of the tap and obviously fresher, was very good and crisp. My wife even liked it and she is not a beer drinker.
In terms of the tour itself, was very informative and interesting. Had different rooms where you could see their sponsorships of futbol and formula one, kettle brewing process, a virtual video of the bottling process, and an interactive sound/light area. At the end of the tour, you go to their bar where you get to enjoy two more glasses of beer.
Overall, was a good time with lots of interaction.

If you're thinking, the tour is a little pricey, 2 beers are included. With a chance to win 2 more (which thankfully I did)
Such a cool place. Thank you

This place is Must visit!
This is the best Museum that I visited so far. There is a lot of fun at the end of the Museum. At first you learn about the history how they made and transfer the beer and at the end you take photos, videos you can join to the games. There was a contest if you fill your glass perfect beer you get 2 glass of beer.

This place is truly an experience - a must go, when in Amsterdam. The factory is pretty cool and shows the entire history and process of the beer, and the staff is very nice and knowledgable as well. Of course you get an ice cold Heineken at the end of the tour, and it really does taste better when you're there. Say what you want about other big brand beers, but Heineken - at least in The Netherlands - still holds up nicely. Good spot for a tour.

Absolutely loved the Heineken Experience. We had a great time. The tour was really interesting and I learnt a lot about the process of making beer. We were provided with lots of samples beer. I remember that it was 2 glasses by the end of the visit (before corona) and last time it was only one glass.

The Heineken Experience is one of its kind. Don’t worry if you haven’t purchased your tickets in advance, you can also go there and purchase it. The tour is on an average 90 minute long unless you like to read each placard and take pictures in every spot. There are group slots available each 15 minutes. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
Overall, the tour is very commercialized, but in a good way of course.

I had a great time at the Heineken Experience! I visited on a Monday at 11:00, and there was no line to enter. The staff members were super nice and friendly, which added to the positive atmosphere.
Staying on the front line allowed me to hear and see everything that was happening, providing a more immersive experience. It was a great way to catch all the information.
The timing of the beer servings was spot on. The first beer was served exactly when I was ready to enjoy one, and two more were provided at the end of the tour. Don't miss out on the pouring competition; it's a fun and interactive activity to join!
There were a few minor aspects that could be improved. Some interactions, such as having your name printed on a bottle, felt overly expensive. Additionally, there were multiple photo-taking machines scattered throughout the experience, which seemed a bit redundant

I had an incredible birthday experience at the Heineken Experience. The staff went above and beyond to make my day truly special. From the moment I arrived, their warm and friendly demeanor made me feel welcomed and valued. They ensured that every aspect of the tour was enjoyable and informative, guiding me through the brewing process with enthusiasm and expertise. The interactive exhibits were engaging, and the tastings were a delightful treat. I was impressed by the staff's attention to detail and their willingness to answer all my questions. This birthday visit to the Heineken Experience will be a cherished memory, thanks to the exceptional service and hospitality of the staff. Highly recommended!

If you are in the city you can’t not come here. Great value for the tour with some fun interactive bits throughout. €21 each is what we paid and this included 2 beers at the end as well as a small one half way through the tour. Takes up a couple of hours to walk around and can get busy so if visiting at the weekend would probably book tickets. we went on a week day so wasn’t too bad. Can customise your own bottle which is a nice touch too.

The Heineken Experience!
It’s a must visit place when you are in Amsterdam, a city that has a lot to share from history.
I was impressed by the rich history and craftsmanship. The tour highlighted Mr. Freddy's pivotal role in shaping Heineken into an iconic brand. The detailed process—from barley storage to yeast addition and achieving that perfect golden hue—was captivating.
The interactive quizzes along the way added a fun element, with chances to win small prizes. Knowledgeable guides enriched the experience, providing insights into the company's evolution and global reach. The display of original beer-making vessels showcased the authenticity of the brewery.
You receive 2 buttons with each ticket that can be redeemed for free beers at the end. Additionally, the option to customize your own beer bottle is a unique and memorable souvenir.

I went to visit spontaneously and purchased ticket on the spot. They only accept cards, no cash. Interesting guided tour that explained the history and how beer is made. Recommended for beer drinker. The basic tour also includes 3 glass of beer. I went at 1030am so it was too much beer so early in the morning, but refreshing none the less

Guided tour of the original Heineken factory, recommended for all beer lovers.
Visit in English, but you can download the audio guide in other languages on your phone.
Many interactive areas and personalized souvenirs
Including 2 medium beers in the bar located at the end of the tur plus a small beer during the same.

Very nice and interactive museum. The atmosphere was very nice. Staff friendly and cheerful. I can say that during the entire visit there were new things to explorer and enjoy. The price totally fair thinking you will have to pay kind of the same if you would like to enjoy the same amount of beer in a bar.

It was our first time to go on something like this, and it was a lot more fun than I expected it to be. It is interactive, and I got to learn about the famous Heineken. David (the green guy) when we visited was fantastic. Thank you for the “private tour” and for the awesome experience.

The Heineken Experience in Amsterdam is an absolute must-visit for anyone traveling to this vibrant city! From start to finish, the tour offers an immersive and entertaining journey through the history and brewing process of one of the world's most iconic beer brands. The interactive exhibits, including the brewing simulations and tasting sessions, are both educational and fun for visitors of all ages. The staff are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, adding to the overall experience. The highlight, of course, is enjoying a freshly brewed Heineken straight from the source in the historic brewery building. The atmosphere is lively and engaging, making it a memorable experience for everyone involved. Whether you're a beer enthusiast or simply looking for a unique and enjoyable activity in Amsterdam, the Heineken Experience exceeds all expectations. Don't miss out on this unforgettable adventure!

Had a lot of fun even though I went there by myself.
Very interesting to see the process to make beer.
Staff is super friendly and helpful, I had tickets for Friday but I couldn’t make it on time so I went back on Saturday and got in with the same ticket.
Definitely recommend, would do it again but with friends.
Amsterdam's historic city center, known as De Wallen, features a famous red-light district along with numerous bars and coffee shops. The area is dominated by an impressive 13th-century building that overlooks the district. Originally constructed as a Catholic place of worship, it now serves as a symbol of Dutch Protestantism and frequently hosts exhibitions and concerts. Inside, visitors will be awed by the beautiful architecture and high windows that fill the space with light.
One of Amsterdam's most popular attractions, the Rijksmuseum houses a vast collection of European art. With over 8000 masterpieces on display, it is an amazing place to explore. The building itself is stunning and dominates Museum Square, making it one of the most famous museums in the Netherlands. It is well worth the visit for anyone interested in art!
Can’t find any word to describe this museum.
Check the website in advance to get the ticket because you also need to select time slot to enter the museum.
Not sure if you want to see everything in one day because this amazing museum has a lot of collections. But if you do, better come early.

Coming from the U.S. we don't have as much art as in Europe. This experience was fantastic. In a solo trip I was able to walk through the entire museum. One day is not enough. I love Dutch and Flemish art. They have highly skilled artists (more than the German, the British, the Spanish, and even in my opinion also better than the French and the Italians. I'd love to visit again and slowly melt away in the beauty of Dutch Art.

It was really great.
Perhaps because it was first thing in the morning on Monday, I was able to take a closer look at each one without any crowds. In addition, each work was large, and there was ample space between adjacent works, so it was easy to see popular works.
On this day, Rembrandt's "Night Watch" was under restoration, but it was rare because it was open to the public.
If you install the app, you can listen to the main explanation. It was a good deal and I was happy about that.
I think that it is better to see it from the main place on the second floor!

One of my favorite museums in Europe. The app made it enjoyable and seeing how well it was out together, we saw the history of the Dutch, their art, and their golden age. Fantastic museum and easy to get into.
Make sure to make reservations in advance to find a spot. It was easy to navigate and the diverse exhibits made the museum fun and interesting.

Absolutely the best and a must visit museum in Amsterdam. Some of the world's most famous paintings are housed here. You can also see huge collection from, Masters lake Van Gogh Rembrandt, etc. Whether you are an art enthusiast or a student of art, You should not miss this museum. There is also a very comprehensive library inside.

Take the full day here. It has so much stuff and so many rooms. We did the special exhibit and effectively one floor and it took us about 3 hours, and it wasn't like we were just taking our time. Take the day. Don't rush. Enjoy yourself.

Great display of impressive paintings, everything is neat and tidy, and has a decently stocked shop. It’s easily accessible from almost everywhere in Amsterdam. The main drawbacks: the security people at the entrance were super rude, snappy, and not helping at all; most people were entering the museum already frowning; the layout/navigation: there’s a noticeable lack of basic information on where to go, where you are, etc.
Hugo Krajnc — Google review
My family and I had an amazing visit! I strongly recommend booking tickets ahead of time directly from the museum website. Book the first 0900 opening tickets. You get a little time in the museum where it is not as crowded. If going to a special exhibit (like Frans Hals), book your entry time the same as your entrance. It will save you time by going straight to the special exhibit. The Frans Hal exhibit is not far from the entrance. The cafe was nice and easy. It looked busy but we were able to be seated quickly. You can pick to order and pay through the app. The cafe was welcomed after being on your feet most of the time. We saw most of the museum in under 3 hours including time in the cafe but we did not dwell too long in once place. The museum is art and a lot of historical items too! Something for everyone.

Fantastic museum, if you are a museum geek and wanna see everything one day is not sufficient trust me , on top of that they have awesome cafe (really yum items to try on). I hear they have restaurant too inside which was closed due to covid precautions.
Museum also has app where u can hear about the museum items instead standing a reading there.
They have got lockers & hanger room all free of cost.

Wow! I needed lots and lots of time to go through this amazing art museum!! I recommend getting tickets on line. Lots of greats are on display! So many great works that I need to go back and spend another day! Great audio tour! Bring your headphones so you can listen in on your personal phone!

Absolutely loved it. Tickets were easy to order with QR codes at the door, the tour was also easily accessible via a QR code that downloaded an app. I would recommend bringing your own headphones/earphones to listen to the tour (else you would have to rent a headset and audio guide). All artwork was properly honored and given spotlight to.

Great museum, easy to reach and some very interesting displays.
Beautiful building worth the trip just to see the facade.
The building is beautiful also with a nice garden in the back. The gift shop and restaurant are also excellent. You can skip the cost for the audio guide since it is also available from a free app
I don't think the great art needs any additional reviews but the collection is certainly impressive.
Book your ticket online and would recommend going first thing in the morning. It gets quite crowded as the day goes on. Plan a minimum of two hours but you could easily spend four there.

We got there early on a Saturday and it felt like great timing. The museum is large and is a long activity if you want to get through everything. The space is absolutely gorgeous and I think they are some of the best at lighting the works. Everywhere felt perfectly lit and the frames and paintings all jumped off the walls at you. Totally clean and stunning. The gift shop was nice as well. I wish the gift shop had more stickers.

A museum worth the visit!
Please take note that you must pre-purchase your ticket online. It goes by time slot and availability. Please ensure you secure your booking before making your way there.
There are thousands of art pieces including paintings, articles, etc. You can easily spend more than two hours at the museum just browsing through every level.

First, the building is really beautiful. Add to that, the art inside is amazing and diverse. Sure, they have Van Gogh and Rembrandt, but they have prayer nuts that will blow your mind and a library that is an architectural work of art.
If you buy a year's membership, you don't have to worry about timed entry and I think museums live this deserve our support.

Had a great time at this museum. I like the free lockers (if you can get one as it’s usually pretty packed) to leave all of your bulky items behind so you can wander through the museum unencumbered. I was mostly fascinated by all the paintings and sculptures. The dishware was just too beautiful not to take a picture. Spent at least 2 hours in here, definitely worth it to go if you get a chance.

Probably the best museum in Amsterdam. Clearly the most famous paintings are in the gallery of honor, but we saw lots of other interesting works. There are audio guides that allow you to do just the highlights or to type in a number in front of a picture. We spent about three hours here and could have spent more. Definitely recommend.

An exceptional museum.
Tram 5 best for us
Well laid out easy to navigate.
Cheaper to download app book on line and choose a time slot.
No great wait to enter.
Two issues to be to be aware of their painting The Night Watch is undergoing restoration and is partly obscured by equipment monitoring vibration. Essential I know but lessens impact of the painting
Secondly if you need lift to access the floors there are only two and there can be a queue.
Cafe/restaurant is very nice limited vegetarian menu but is okay.
10% off in the gift shop when you have downloaded their app.
But a must when you visit.

Truly magnificent art on display. A great museum experience for all ages combing art and Dutch history. We visited with children and they lived both the main art exhibitions as well as the children's activities. One minor issue is the food available, its expensive and not very varied, considering that people spend a whole day here, more family friendly food options would be welcome. All in all a must visit if you are in the area, a truly memorable experience.

Mind blowing experience. It was one of the finest museums I've ever been to. It's such a superb collection of art. Paintings, porcelain, statues, and many other kinds.
It is well laid out, with each section coming from a specific time period. It's heavy on the religious art, but that's to be expected. I was here for 3 hours, and I couldn't take it all in. A full day is needed.
Lockers are hard to get as they fill quickly, so better to use the cloakroom. The cafe & restaurant are always full, so good luck getting a seat.
The building is absolutely stunning and easy to find. The Van Gogh museum is nearby.
I suggest booking your tickets online to save double queues.

Lots to see. A number of special works. The contemporary art department (in the attic) is nothing, but the rest is great. So much so that for a moment it was no longer really worth watching.
The cloakroom was busy, especially when picking up the coat/bag. Only later did I see that there are also lockers and coat racks, so it could have hung there instead of in the "guarded cloakroom"

One of the coolest and most beautiful museums I’ve been seen. The outside is truly majestic and beautiful, but the inside left me speechless. The inside of the museum is breathtaking. I really recommend visiting this museums if you ever go to Amsterdam. It’s completely worth a trip.

Fun sized museum that you can get through in less than four hours.
The special exhibit was educational and they had descriptions on all of the trinkets. The first floor is split in half so you can only access the other half by going up or down a floor. The ship models are very intricate and gave me admiration on the hard work involved. The night watch exhibit was spectacular to see as well, spanning an entire museum wall!

We booked a tour of the museum's highlights and it was fantastic. It seems essential to explore with a guide, even an audio guide if a scheduled tour isn't available. We booked directly through the museum's official website and arrived 10 minutes early at the meeting point as the tour starts on time. "The Night Watch" by Rembrandt was a standout, along with three Van Gogh paintings. Highly recommended if you're in Amsterdam.

Lovely museum. Took the one hour guided tour which went by quickly. Do wish they had a longer version.
Definitely confusion as to where to enter the museum. Asked a staffer and entered the queue. After a bit, another person came by and had us exit the queue as we weren't part of the group.
The museum had a very large elevator, which was helpful for people with wheeled devices. Outside has some lovely flowers.

A must see in Amsterdam for the art enthusiasts. An online booking is mandatory and you have to arrive at a specified time but once inside you can visit freely. The museum itself is very big and a full day is necessary to visit all the galleries and exhibitions.
Do take a floor-map at the reception to not get lost in there -the different rooms are not always clearly indicated!
The cafe inside also offers a few dishes that remain fairly accessible given the location and make for a nice 4pm pause in between the visit.

Classic! Plan to spend 2-4 hours depending on how much you want to spend scrolling through the items, reviewing them in depth. Stayed nearby in April 2024 this year and was marvelled by the architecture of the Rijksmuseum. On first sight it looks like a castle. It's very majestic ✨️ and regal even if it is a museum.
Unfortunately during my short break, I didn't have enough time to visit and go inside the museum but would love to come back one day and do that.
The garden was wonderful. The tulips 🌷 were in full bloom and a splendid array of colour. The water fountain ⛲️ is a fun feature. I had a good time taking lots of pictures.
The Arches to pass through are a amazing feat of architecture. What a beautiful place.
For anyone visiting, even if you don't have time to go inside the museum, take in the exterior architecture of the Rijksmuseum and garden. Very beautiful place.

The museum is for sure impressive if you are into art. For me the building itself was very interesting to visit as it’s really large. But a lot of the paintings there look pretty much the same (sorry art fans). So you should decide on your own if the entrance fee is worth it. You can for sure spend hours in there as it’s really huge and spread across different floors

Handy, such a museum annual pass, I thought today. This way you can just pop into a museum during a wasted hour... However, I discovered that nowadays you first have to check whether a museum has a time slot. At the entrance I was asked to first find out online when I could enter the building. That turned out to be 45 minutes later. Once inside, I wanted to go to the temporary exhibition, but there too I was asked to reserve a time at the entrance. Never mind, I thought. Then I'll take another look at the works of the other old masters. Before the renovation of the Rijksmuseum, you would already bump into the Night Watch at the entrance. This time, however, I couldn't find it so quickly. Some time later I came to the conclusion that nowadays you cannot know where what is without a map of the museum and that to view the Night Watch you have to cross the atrium and go to the 2nd floor. There it was, the Night Watch. In a glass cube. Despite the time slot, there were crowds of people standing around the cube, making it a challenge to even see the painting, so I quickly ignored the Night Watch. The rest of the visit went well. Credit. Because the museum houses an enormous amount of treasures, all of which are worth seeing. You should spend not an hour, but hours to view all these treasures on display. Advice: reserve tickets online, even if you have a museum annual pass, take half a day to visit this museum, wear comfortable shoes and use a map (available at the counter).
The Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam houses the world's largest assortment of Van Gogh paintings, as well as drawings and letters. This museum is known for its impressive collection of vibrant artwork created by the renowned artist. It offers a multimedia family guide and various engaging activities to entertain children. One notable exhibit allows kids to step into one of Van Gogh's famous paintings, The Potato Eaters, while workshops and treasure hunts cater to different age groups.
Amazing experience. The tickets were a bit dear but overall it's worth the experience. The museum starts off with Van Gogh's initial days as an artist to his final days of struggle and chaos.
You'll feel a bit connected to the artist himself throughout your museum tour (if you look closely) and the skill set that he showcased are all captured under one roof. Good stuff and make sure you take the media guide in your tour cos that can make such a huge difference.

A visit of a lifetime. The whole experience visiting Van Goh museum was exceptional. The museum itself is big enough to accommodate a big crowd. Purchasing tickets is ideal, this gives you a quick pass at the entrance. Audio guide is included for free, I suggest that you should have this during your tour as it is a very nice tool to really understand what you are looking at. So much stories to tell from the Audio guide. The main lobby is so big and airy. Lockers are available for your large items / back packs. 2 boutiques are available and also small coffee shop. There are few benches inside the exhibition so you can relax and sit and enjoy listening to your audio guide. We arrived in the morning slot, therefore there’s not much of crowd. We took public transit to go there. Get ready your feet, as there are several floor levels for you to explore. Nice comfy shoes is recommended. Very impressive museum.

Fantastic gallery that is really well laid out and easy to explore. The displays are beautiful and I highly recommend the audio tour to provide additional commentary on key pieces of art. Two hours was the ideal amount of time to explore the permanent collection, however, the temporary exhibition is also huge so we didn't have the time to take all of this in. I'd recommend allowing half a day if you want to see everything.

€11 for students with valid ID card on the weekdays, beneficial to keep on mind as you can save around €10-11. It was a great experience overall. Worth every penny. Massive queue outside but goes really fast. The Starry Night painting is not here but in Paris, so don’t be disappointed.

Tickets need to be booked online, usually not available on the same day, so better to plan 2-3 days in advance. Could find very interesting art pieces, Van Gogh's life and his painting skills exhibited in the most authentic way possible. They are very well preserved and to see the painting strokes at a close proximity will be a painter's delight. Even people with no knowledge of art can get inspired by the master pieces in display. There's also a bookstore, souvenir shop and a small cafeteria inside. Toilet facilities also available. Can easily spend around 2-3 hours in this museum.

I spent 12 days in Amsterdam, and this was one of the highlights of my trip. The museum is absolutely stunning! I bought my ticket several weeks ahead of time and scanned the mobile ticket on my phone to get in. I spent a bit over two hours and enjoyed every moment. It was a bit crowded (I was there on a Friday afternoon), but don't let the crowds deter you from going because it's amazing.

The museum building itself is amazing to see. You have to book in advance and we decided to go with the audioguide, which was a good choice as there are not a lot of descriptions to the paintings on the wall.
However, the numbers of the paintings are not in order on the audioguide, which makes it a little inconvenient to use. Also these is no paper map of the museum that shows a suggested way to visit each floor.
All in all: a nice museum and worth the visit. But could use a little more “old school” ways to make the museum more accessible.

One of the best curated museum experiences I have ever had. Really amazing how they have and show the collection ranging from throughout his 10 years of painting. I love how they include works by contemporaries who influenced him as well as biographical material. Really beautiful experience!

Must see museum in Amsterdam. Spent the morning enjoying all of the masterpieces on display. Self led audio tour was great and was able to learn a lot about Van Gogh’s life as an artist and see other artists paintings that inspired him. Interesting and sad to see how his paintings changed as his mental health declined over time. Really enjoyed my time here. Highly recommend.

An incredible museum dedicated to one of my favorite painters. The cafe upstairs has great drinks. The exhibits are incredible. Oh, and there are plenty of gift stores around where I spent all my money. Totally worth it.

Definitely a must to visit in Amsterdam. So much to see I used the audio tour guide which was really helpful and encouraged me to take time to learn more about the art. Lockers for coats and bags was a wee stroke of genius and gift shop has so mich choice.

It was unbelievably beautiful!!! ❤️ I recommend taking an audio guide, because there are so many interesting details and history behind all these beautiful paintings ☺️
I was also lucky to see for me an unknown artist Matthew Wong. His paintings were amazing! This artist was a discovery for me!

The museum is beautiful. A must-go for every Van Gogh admirer.
It's easy to find. The tram station is right across the street. The museum itself is rather spacious, so even with many people around, we had no problem moving around.
Still, it is best to bring lots of time. We spent three hours at the museum and didn't see everything!

One of the best museums experience I have been to (the other one being Ellis Island in NY/NJ). The artwork on display isn't of course the entire work of Van Gogh, but it is very extensive. The best part is, it is crafted into a story, easy to understand for laymen and can be completed in 2-3 hours.
P.S. Please book tickets in advance, I saw a few people being denied entry as they did not have tickets.

Incredible multi-level museum dedicated to the master Vincent Van Gogh. Founded by his nephew, the space houses a large collection of the artist’s famous pieces as well as many pieces by his contemporaries. Well curated display tells the story of his life and the various stages of his mastery. Definitely worth checking out while visiting Amsterdam. Make sure you reserve your tickets in advance and the audio guide is a must to get the full experience. The museum also two large gift shops and a café. Plan on spending at least 2 hours browsing through the galleries.

Fantastic museum, highly recommended. It's a great collection of his works and the audio tours you can rent help tell a story about his progression as an artists. I recommend buying tickets as far in advance as possible as same day entrance can be difficult, but be aware that they're sold for specific time slots.

Fantastic museum celebrating Van Gogh's life and paintings. So much to see and understand, you can spend many hours looking around. There is a restaurant / cafe when you need to take a break. There are also lockers to put bags and coats in.

Love love this place! So well organized for ticket booking and entry. Please please book your tickets and entry slot in advance. Slots may book out several weeks in advance! Its huge! I am jot even an art connoisseur and I still spent 4 straight hours just seeing the art.

This is one of the most beautiful museum I visited. It's very well organized in sections that bring you through the life of the artist. It makes comparisons with his time and explains well society and art of contemporary artists. I found moving the familiar relationships and the influence in Vincent's life explained through many letters to the brother you can see at the museum. Thoroughly enjoyable experience

A must-visit if you're in Amsterdam. The content is well curated, and you get to see how Van Gogh's style has evolved over the years. It's crowded, so it's better to plan enough time to see extensive artworks spread over 3 stories of the museum. You should book the tickets well in advance, too.

I recommend getting the earliest time slot available as this museum does get busy!
The audio guide is a must have to complete your experience here.
The museum has self serve locker storage which is handy for your bags and coats.
Overall one of my favourite highlights of my trip.
The Anne Frank House is a popular museum in Amsterdam that provides visitors with a glimpse into the lives of Anne Frank and her family during World War II. Located on Prinsengracht, the museum showcases the tiny secret annex where they hid for two years to avoid deportation by the Nazis. While it is not wheelchair accessible due to a steep staircase, visitors can explore the old part of the house and learn about Amsterdam's history during this troubled period.
The museum takes you through an audio tour of the house where the Frank family lived for two years and Ann wrote her diary. Definitely book online in advance. The cloakroom is free so Definitely put your coat and bags in as the staircases are steep and narrow. The electronic audio guide is free and in eight different languages. A must visit in Amsterdam.

It was a moving place but couldn't help feeling it was more about just collecting money. Its a "do once" experience in my opinion. No photos allowed inside.
Make sure you book in advance as you can only get in if you book. And dont forget your identification that matches what you bought the ticket with otherwise you will be refused entry.

In the sense of knowing the history of war, it is a place I would like you to visit by all means, and you can broaden your knowledge.
An audio guide is included in the ticket price. When I went inside, they handed me something in my own language, so I was also impressed by that. Even those who are unfamiliar with English can feel at ease.
Each entry time is well separated, so rather than freely looking at the places you like, each room is small, so it felt like everyone was going to see it. It takes about an hour.
Due to its popularity, advance ticket purchase is essential. If you have already decided on a date to go, it is better to take it early. Many people were turned down that day.

This place was great. I just wish we could have taken pictures. It was a place of very high security everywhere. Very touching, inspiring, amazing, gut wrenching. Had goosebumps going through some of the displays. The museum was very well planned out and impressive. It took us about an hour and a half. You will need to book tickets well ahead of your trip to be able to get in.

As one would expect it was a very emotional experience, haunting but the museum have beautifully done tribute to Anne, her family and friends that lived thier last years in the annex and as sad as it is everyone who gets the opportunity to should experience going, as hearing Anne's story is so so very important.

What an incredible story of survival. The words of a young girl who carried the world. I’m not going post the exhibit photos. It wouldn’t be fathomable to tell here. After the tour, there is a full coffee bar and book shop. For a child who longed for the sun and window with a view. This inclusive audio tour finishes in a wonderful view on the city.
I checked two carry on sized bags at not cost, but they are subject to security check. Staff was very professional and multilingual. Please plan your tickets in advance to this unique exhibit. Then make your way the Spinoza statue, the Jewish Ghetto , and the Theater to learn about the human experiences of the Holocaust.
Please don’t be alarmed by the extra security around the building. The rise of antisemitism is ever present. Be mindful and vigilant.

Anne Franks House is a great place to visit if you are a fan of history or have read the Anne Frank Story. It is very sad place to visit, there is a lot of stairs to walk up and it is very steep going up to Anne franks home at the top, just something to keep in mind but it’s definitely worth it. The staff are great and very helpful.

The 30 min introduction tour is a must have for any Anne Frank fan. Our guide was great at explaining all the information! It gives a look at her life that makes the actual tour so much more engaging and meaningful.
No photos are allowed inside the actual house but the audio guide gives enough information. I wish they posted the guide numbers in a better position as sometimes people would gather around it making it difficult to get too.
Overall, it was sobering to walk through the house, seeing it with my own eyes after reading about it.

Absolutely excellent. It’s rare for me to read so many of the info signs in a museum and I really took my time. The audio and written prompts were the perfect mix for me to immerse myself and learn so much. Bought a book and poster as I left. A must see in Amsterdam!

Really well-curated and well-maintained museum that tugs at your heartstrings while also being extremely educational. There's an audio guide provided, which really helps to immerse you in the history of the place. Definitely a must-visit when you're in Amsterdam and worth booking well in advance, especially during peak seasons. We went in February so tickets were not as in-demand, and we were able to get tickets within a week before going.

It was very difficult to get tickets for the museum tour plus the introductory program but so well worth it! Having the context of the life of Anne Frank added to the overall experience. This place is so well done. It is respectful to the memory of what happened here. Take time to really think about the actions of what took place in this very spot. It will hopefully help you gain a new perspective on the grave horrors and the unimaginable kindness of humanity.

We were so fortunate to be successful in purchasing tickets via the Anne Frank Website in order to be able to visit this museum.
We paid for an English Speaking Introduction prior to the tour, which enabled us to take a few limited photos prior to entering the museum itself.
The tour is very humbling, and brings home the horrific circumstances faced by the Jews during the War.
There is an audio guide included in the price, in multiple languages, you scan it at various locations as you proceed through Anne Franks House.
The attention to detail is phenomenal, this has been on my list of places to visit for many years, and I can only say it's worth every penny and effort to secure tickets. Photos and filming are prohibited, which helps preserve the museum in its original state, you also focus all your attention on the experience.
The cafe is reasonably priced, and very much needed after absorbing all the information regarding how 8 people had to live in secret in order to avoid capture.
Heartbreakingly, they were discovered and were put on the last train to the concentration camps! It wrenches at your heart.
The shop has a selection of quality items including copies of her diary, a diary which should be read, even if it's the only Diary you read.

Everyone has heard of Anne Frank, so this review focuses on the practicalities.
Tickets have to be purchased in advance and are only available from the official website. Tickets are released every Tuesday at 10am UK time six weeks in advance. They offer a 30min introduction which we purchased and felt was worthwhile to set everything in context for the other people in our group. You then get taken downstairs to the main entrance where you collect your audio guide. Point the device at the numbers in the rooms to hear the audio.
Be warned! Lots of steps when you get into parts of the original house. No spoilers as far as the house is concerned but it's well worth the visit. We felt numbers were controlled well even though a few rooms got a little congested. There is a cafe on site with lovely views over the canal.
Alison Christie — Google review
Better to buy the tickets in advance (ideally weeks, months before) it's quite crowded and you are not allowed to take photos inside. You also gave >A4 size bags free of charge at the cloakroom.
If you read her book/ diary "the secret annex" and know her, it definitely worth the visit. Even you don't know, would be nice to see how the world changes and the history with dictatorship. Also how the lives of innocent people can drastically change and end with a decision. I like that they didn't only showed Anne Frank's story but also the family, helpers, the politics at that time, photos and video recordings. It took us exactly 2 hours because we didn't want to miss any detail.
If you have problems with walking, it might be difficult to visit this place due to narrow stairs and lots of walking.
Yasemin Kaya — Google review
Make sure to get your tickets before your trip. We got ours about 5 weeks before our visit. If you go, get tickets with the introduction lecture. It is about 40 minutes and is well worth the time.

What an incredible & emotional journey you go through visiting this museum. We visited Amsterdam for the day & this was the only thing we really wanted to do. Visiting in Jan was perfect as we did not pre-purchase tickets at all (which typically you have to do) & It was not busy, so you could actually absorb the intensity of the museum & not feel rushed or crowded. We arrived at 1830 & had tickets for the 1900 entrance time & we purchased at that moment online. (All purchases are online only) If you know when you will be there, definitely purchase in advance but if you're not sure & you are visiting during the off season, then you can purchase when you get around that area.
Definitely take your time walking around & make this a 'must do' if you find yourself in Amsterdam. You will not regret it. Then, go around the corner to visit the statue of Anne Frank, as seen in these photos.

It's definitely worth visiting if you are able to. If tickets are sold out, keep trying up until you visit the City at different times. I was luckily able to grab some tickets when more were released a week before my visit.

Excellent administration, clock room for coats/jackets, and bags. Team inside and outside organised well with smiles to all.
Those who like to know about history must visit, really well done by sharing personalised items, Anne place, hiding room, the famous bookshelf, all original. Loads of video clips and so much more to look if you are interested. Those who know the history will be really emotional ride for them.
Shops inside to buy related things, a cafe available for cold and hot drinks and bit food and snacks available.
Two toilets, but they are both gender neutral.

Such an emotional and moving tour. It was a special experience to be able to listen to the audios of the Frank family and friends who aided them in the resistance and who helped protect them.
Audio Guide:
During the tour, you are guided through the Anne Frank house with the help of the audio speaker, which is in multiple languages. You simply use the speaker to listen and place it next to the audio number in each room. The. it will start playing. It recites quotes and stories recited from Anne Frank’s diary and from other people who were involved in this situation. It was compelling and so sad. I couldn’t help but tear up when hearing the actrice who recited Anne Frank’s stories. Such an important part of history to recognize and remember.
Gift Shop:
There’s a gift shop nearby which has notebooks, Anne Frank books, bookmarks, and more.
Tickets:
I would recommend you to buy these tickets months in advance. My friends and I somehow found tickets due to an opening but they were sold out even a month before.

A good audio tour that was easy to follow and was interesting to hear some first-hand accounts from Anne Franks father and other family friends as well as see the actual secret including original ladder & countertop. Gave a real idea of what I’d read about and cool to see her actual diary pages as well. They estimate tour takes about an hour and that was spot on - we went through all the audio tour stops and saw/read the various exhibits and were done in exactly an hour. Easy to follow and everyone directed clearly on next place to go etc. Be prepared to climb some very steep stairs.

Deeply moving. So amazing to see where the Frank family hid and view Anne's diaries. The briefing ahead of time was well worth it! Must book as soon as the dates open online to get a spot. No photos in the museum, but they are allowed in the briefing ahead of time.

Buy your tickets in advance, online. They sell out fast. It's definitely worth seeing and paying your respects. You get to walk all throughout the building, behind the bookshelf that hid Anne Frank and her family. They offer an audio tour at your own pace.

This is more memorial than a museum. Very few belongings of Anna Frank were spared, so in the museum you mostly see the rooms where it all happened, plus the famous diary. It is highly recommended to read Anna's diary prior to visit; being more informed, you can better "feel" the place. The photography is not allowed inside (which is quite unusual for Dutch museum). It is very important to buy tickets well in advance on their website (I mean, months in advance): the museum is extremely popular and quite small, so all tickets are gone very quickly and there is essentially zero chance to buy them on the day of the visit.

Visiting the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam was a deeply moving experience. The museum provides a poignant insight into the life of Anne Frank and her family during a tumultuous period. The preserved rooms and artifacts create a powerful connection to history. The audio guide enhances the understanding of the exhibits, and the atmosphere within the house is one of somber reflection. A must-visit for anyone interested in understanding the impact of World War II on individuals and the resilience of the human spirit.
Dutch park Vondelpark is the most popular in Amsterdam, with its beautiful green lawns and tranquil waterways. It's perfect for a lazy afternoon spent sitting in a café or taking a walk with loved ones, as well as an ideal spot to catch a performance on the open-air stage or listen to live music.

There are beautiful geese, ducks, coots, herons, crows, and magpies here. As an American, many of the species present here (especially the geese and magpies) were something of a novelty. There is also a lovely rose garden within the park with a variety of different-colored roses.

Lovely park definitely worth a visit. We had a lovely walk around. Never seen a European Crane before.
This water management site shows how locals have dealt with their unique geography for centuries.
We bought the all inclusive tickets and parked at the designated area 15’ away - very pricey BUT the ticket also covers the fee for a bike rental which makes the whole experience complete! Cycling along the water channels is really awesome! The visit of the 2 windmills from inside is well worth the visit! We took the panorama boat but the view was really beautiful!

Really nice famous sight in the Netherlands which is worth seeing! However, keep in mind that transportation is a bit of a challenge as you should make a few changes if you come by public transport. Also, the ticket is around 16 euros and includes boat, windmill entrance and museum buildings. There isn't a separate ticket just for the windmills or just for the boat. If you want to save some money bring your own food as there aren't any shops close to the sights and just one cafe. Overall, it is a really nice sight. Keep in mind the strong wind!

Always one of the places you are told you must visit in the Netherlands but the local Dutch call it "too touristy". Really cool to see the history of the windmils as well as life how it used to be in the past. The only downside is it was around 19 euros to go to 2 museum and value wise it totally was not worth it. I understand the money is used to keep up the sites, preserve the history, etc but when it comes to straight value, it should have been priced at 8-10 euros. Overall nice bike path and walking paths as well.

Great UNESCO site. The wind mills are beautiful and the museum is nice.
The app to listen to the explanations doesn't work properly, but it helps.

A really beautiful place to visit. It was interesting learning about how the windmills function and what their purpose is. We had a wonderful tour guide who knew a lot about how to maintain and operate the windmills. If you get the opportunity to go inside the one windmill open to the public, take it! So interesting seeing the inside. There is a restaurant here and a very nice gift shop. Lots of opportunities for beautiful pictures.

I was there on a Friday afternoon, there were no people at all, only cyclists rarely passed by. This is a great place to just get high, you can see the oldest mill in the Netherlands, as well as walk along the beautiful streets near the canal. There are 19 windmills in total, which are considered a UNESCO heritage. Very unusual, I recommend.

Really enjoyed my time here. We drove into the area and there was parking available at EUR9.50. The parking is located next to a souvenir shop which provided bicycles for rent. From there it was a direct access to the windmills. Stunning sight and definitely worth the time to get there. Certainly do drop by on a nice day.

Nice place to visit, even it deserves to come from Amsterdam as a day trip plan. You can go through the site without ticket but if you want to visit inside of the mills and have chance to take a ferry you should buy ticket. Price of ticket is about 18 euro. It has cafe, souvenir shop, toilet and parking lots. Enjoy nature, beauty, creativity and engineering there. Don't forget to ask leaders to tell you the function of the mills.

Lovely spot but rather disappointing that they're not setup to handle visitors later in the day. We arrived about an hour before closing and the staff in the office unapologetically informed us that they could not sell us a ticket for anything because they only offered a complete deal and we wouldn't have time to do everything. Luckily we were able to come to an arrangement with the men running the boat tour otherwise it would have been a wasted trip.

This is our first time to this part of Europe and we were very pleased that 75 years ago the Queen decided to maintain the cultural heritage of the area and find the government funds to maintain and not tear down the old windmills.
More interesting was the fact that families of up to 15 would live inside each of the mills! Fun fact: when going at full speed the sales of the mill are going at about 90 mi an hour.
Worth the stop and the people were fabulous. Make certain that you bring a credit card as no cash is accepted.

**Kinderdijk, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a must-see for any visitor to the Netherlands. The 19 windmills, built in the 18th century, are a testament to the Dutch ingenuity and determination to control the water.**
[Image of Kinderdijk, UNESCO World Heritage Site]
The windmills are located in the Alblasserwaard region of the Netherlands, a low-lying area that is prone to flooding. The windmills were built to pump water out of the land, draining it and making it suitable for farming.
The windmills are still in use today, and they are a popular tourist destination. Visitors can take boat tours of the area, or they can hike or bike along the canals.
Kinderdijk is a beautiful and fascinating place to learn about the Dutch history and culture. It is a truly unforgettable experience.
Here are some of the things that make Kinderdijk a special place:
* The windmills are in excellent condition, and they are a testament to the craftsmanship of the Dutch people.
* The windmills are located in a beautiful natural setting, surrounded by canals, fields, and forests.
* Kinderdijk is a popular tourist destination, but it is still a relatively peaceful and serene place to visit.
If you are looking for a unique and memorable experience, I highly recommend visiting Kinderdijk.

This is a unique place, a Unesco heritage site with the highest concentration of windmills in the Netherlands. There are 19 windmills located side by side along the canals. In the past they used to pump water from the polders into the canals. You can enter two of them to see the interior, get a boat ride to enjoy the view from the water, and watch an informative movie. There is a caffee and souvenir shop. You will need 2-3 hours to fully enjoy the beauty and serenity of this place. It is accessible from Rotterdam by a boat.

Highlight of my trip to Rotterdam! We caught the waterbus from Erasmus Bridge for 14€pp. We enjoyed walking the trails and taking in the scenery. It was a lovely, calm day away from the bustle of Rotterdam. We purchased pfofferjes? from a man with a small cart on the walk for 3.5€ for 9 pieces. They were delicious. Drinks were also sold starting at 1€! Great value for a snack. There is no fee to walk the trails at Kinderdijk only to enter the historic bldgs. This is a great daytrip!

Really beautiful place but need to walk for long way or else you can rent a bike or bicycle to see those views. Each windmill gives different experience and each place gives different vibes. Overall great place . We can take sooo many good photos and place gives different angle and different size of windmill so we can enjoy the whole few without fail. But there they had few food court and very few food items so better take so good and drink with you so you can eat and walk for that long without getting tired. Boat service also available. We can go inside some windmill houses and they can see some rare things and items they used a long time ago like wooden shoe and thread mill and mechanism of wind mill and current production . Had a good and new experience . Luckily had so many wallpaper pics than expected 😹😹

We visited during winter of 2023 on boxing day. This is a unesco site with 19 fully functioning windmills and it’s a perfect place for families and friends to experience the cultural heritage of the netherlands. Opens at 10:30 so you can take the 10:00 water bus from rotherdam. This is an outdoor area which can get very windy so makesure to wear enough clothing. The site includes 2 windmill musuems, one boat musuem, a boat tour and a musuem about the history with a short 11 minute film. Very worth your time and money as we came here specifically from a cruise ship. Learned quite a lot of the ingenuity of the ditch and how they make the windmills work. There’s a cafe and souvenir shop at the ticket office near the entrance but i recommend you bring some pack lunch.

The windmills are well preserved history. Really cool to see them in person still in working condition. Interesting to learn how they were used to pump water out of the below sea level reclaimed land.
Vogelpark Avifauna is a multifaceted destination that offers accommodation, entertainment, and dining options. It's an ideal stop for visitors exploring Amsterdam. The park boasts a diverse range of bird species and other unique animals, including those from Madagascar. Families will appreciate the dedicated play area for kids and the opportunity to participate in feeding demonstrations with lemurs, pelicans, and parrots. Additionally, there are entertaining bird shows featuring impressive stunts.
We easily spent 4 hours at the park and it was a beautiful time! It was so neat being so close to monkeys and birds. They’ve made some very nice & natural new enclosures for some of the birds and monkeys. 👌🏽 The lady looking after the lemurs was very friendly. We had so much fun feeding the birds a special nectar they gave us. 🐦👍🏻

A place full of nature. Would be good to spend the day with the kids. Visiting all of the attraction points in the park would take around 4 hours. Also there is a play ground for the kids where you can spend your kids last energy there. Be sure to bring some extra clothes for your kid and some nibbles, snacks to eat on the way.

Avifauna is a fun park with plenty of different animals, my favourites include the maki, the ostrich and the big pigeon that sounds like your phone is on vibrate.
The free roaming nature of most of the animals at some point is very fun, like their bird demonstration (not a show). Which allows the birds to join if they want or fly around for a while to stretch their wings.
The staff is very friendly and able to answer questions you may have about the animals.
Overall a great experience, especially if you're a big bird fan. But even for those who don't have an explicit interest there is enough variation to enjoy yourself

A beautiful birds park with plenty of different of bird species. There are birds with different sizes and colors. The major highlight is where you can feed the birds with some nectar. You have to pay 1.50 per a cup in there. There was a demonstration as well where birds are doing some kind of stunts. The Madagascar animal section is also something unique where animals freely roam around you. Park is big, expect to spend at least 4 5 hours inside.

It was fun and it is nice to see that they let the birds out. Restaurant in the park is a bit minimalistic, but food is fine. Had a fun afternoon

We loved everything here, so many different types of birds, some in very big cages, some free walking with us. The restaurant in the middle was also good, nice food, nice and friendly staff. As we had a room in the hotel by the park we could still walk round after closing time which was great. We recommend a stay here, we came with our 9 year old twins and all 4 of us have a great 3 days👍👍

Such an amazing experience visiting this bird sanctuary. They have a really broad collection of birds you can see and you can even feed the Loriini birds. The rest of the park is quite entertaining and the birds are well looked after.

It’s a nice place to visit if you have some extra time on your Amsterdam trip. Entrance fee is a little steep for what you get. But other than that nothing to complain. Lots of birds and other animals , some of which I haven’t seen anywhere else. There’s a big play area dedicated for the kids , which I found really good.
Feeding the Loris was something we enjoyed a lot ( apart from the price to pay again for the feed ).
If you buy your tickets online , you get a 1€ discount for the entrance fee.

Nice park with birds and some other animals. You can get really close to some of the animals as you can see in the pictures. They are not scared of humans.
We spend about 2 hours in the park and then went for the buffet dinner. The food was quite good.
I do suggest you use some discount as the normal price of 44 euro per person is steep.

Have visited "Bird Park Avifauna" in Alphen aan den Rijn several times with family. There are many parking spaces available. It is a beautiful park to visit and see the birds in their enclosures and don't miss bird shows. The staff are nice and helpful. The park is visibly wheelchair and walker accessible, and there are even wheelchairs available to borrow. The children could also have fun in the playground. My acquaintances have regularly spent the night in the hotel on site. All in all a nice park to come back to.

Super nice place for families with kids - we spent the whole day there! It’s not a very big bird park but everything is close, it’s really peaceful, not too many visitors, at least during the week. Perfect for a leisure day with the kids.
The species variety is not that big but you can see exotic birds and animals very close to you, unlike the big zoos. The pelican and penguin feedings are quite funny.
There is a wonderful kid playground with tons of fun things to do - huge trampolines, water cars, regular cars, different slides, including a really big tower one. Rest areas with benches or places for picnic all around. Great coffee place right in the middle, two food options - nothing spectacular but fine for a quick snack.
Definitely a good choice to spend a day with the kid/s.

Great day out for parents and children alike. Here the children can really enjoy. Aside from the fact that there are activities throughout the park and a lot to see in animals and all, there’s a big play ground with activities for all children
I would carry some sandwiches though as the restaurants within can be so packed and then run out of what you may have wanted
Otherwise a great place for all ages

A good place to spend quality time with your family and friends. There are several shows at the park which I would say are average.
The Lori landing enclosure gets full points as that's something that you will always remember. Food inside the place is costlier, I guess that's as expected.
For a group with kids you can expect to spend 4 to 5 hours in the park.

A friendly place for families and couples for a walk. Lots of different species of birds, and more. Feeding demonstrations are organized at fixed times. We happened to be feeding lemurs, pelicans and parrots. Breathtaking. I recommend buying tickets online in advance, although there is no problem with buying at the checkout. Lots of parking space. I recommend going in the morning. It's not that crowded then.

Best park to visit with toddlers. The birds are all in such beautiful state and well cared for. There is a playground area for the little ones as well as snack bars to buy food from. They have monkeys and lemurs as well. It is a must visit.

Nice mid size bird zoo with decent sized playground. Great for family outings with young children. No additional charge for electric rides and parking. The bird shows were great as you can see all the birds fly in the open. Good activities to spend the whole day.

Such a lovely place, we made it for the bird show which was exciting (would be great if this was in English), but the best part was getting to feed Loris ourselves! It also has a playground, very child friendly.
