Lovely Czech castle. Unfortunately I couldn't bare torture room, but my husband and kids enjoyed it as well as the running around the castle. Family 2 adults + 2 kids ticket 18 euro. If you want a guides audio, then 23 euro.

During Easter holiday break, we visited the castle and had to queue to buy tickets. Inside and outside the castle, there were markets where we could buy food or something. The castle was beautiful and there were many things to see.
chaewon son — Google review
So far the most beautiful castle I've seen, not only does it look incredible from far away sitting on the mountain rock, but also on the inside it still has the medieval sense to it, add to that the amazing views around it (forests).
Also you're free to roam inside as you wish, so few restrictions, plus a surprise in the dungeons!
Karim AG — Google review
From the outside, this castle is absolutely beautiful, and the view of the hill with the castle on it is a must see. This review does not concern the outside of the castle (as seen from afar), rather the inside.
Firstly, the mini-exhibitions in the different rooms seem to have nothing in common with each other, there is a lack of coherence throughout the entire road of the “tour”. Most of the items look like they were picked off in a local flea market for a discounted price. There is no explanation as to what connection the content of each room has to the castle itself, some rooms therefore look like storage units.
Secondly, the inner ground of the castle is without any genuine meaning to it other than the unappealing stands.
Overall, the insides do not look well thought out, and are in need of some serious investment. (especially the stairs and the walls)
Would not necessarily recommend visiting the insides of the castle.

We've been to many German and Czech castles, this one ranks up there with the absolute best! The town is very small but has a few top quality eateries and the castle Cafe itself is very good. Highly recommended 👍🏻
The medieval torture display in the castle is a little more realistic than most.

Great Castle and Town, they have a great Dungeon Exhibit themed on Torture. Crown Jewels and Having lunch across the river at the ground theater for a lunch is Good, Enjoy

Fantastic castle, medieval atmosphere is all around. Looks small but really huge inside. There are a lot of different rooms, including the torture, armory and treasury. You can also climb on the tower.
Parking could be a problem.
Mikhail K — Google review
Not a fan of castles, but this one was OK as it has nice views from tower, windows, not to many expositions and exceptional, I wuold say, torture chamber.
Recommend comming early in the morning as later it gets crowded.
Gediminas Kersis — Google review
A very lovely castle with many interesting things to see.(especially the view from the main tower. There was also a place to buy icecream and beverages. I would recommend this place as it not very crowded but still very nice. There are also medieval weapons and armors to see.

Beautiful castle with 800 years of history in excellent condition. Various exhibits inside, plus great views over the town of Loket.

A beautiful place and a rather interesting castle, where you can spend a couple of hours walking around it and looking at its expositions. The dungeon with its reconstruction turned out to be very chilling. I liked it very much.

Dream location very close to Karlovy Vary.Easy to find and reach, special cattle parking in the valley and castle is 10 min reach.Inside and outside many places to visit and to sit down and relax in the inner castle courtyard.Totally recommend.

A wonderful place with lots to see, some genuine authentic gravestones on display in the yard. They are planning to renovate the rest of the castle eventually and possibly later in 2024 more of it will be open to the public. Various displays of Bone China and other antique rooms included in the ticket price.

This is a beautiful architecture side and great place to visit. We enjoyed walking inside and around the castle. The are interesting exhibitions in the different halls of the castle wich show the history of the area.

The castle is in excellent condition. open all year round. You can visit without a guide; they provide a guidebook in different languages. can be reached from Karlovy Vary by bus. There is a torture room in the castle. Quite interestingly furnished.

Today's trip from Prague to Loket Castle. Our guest from the USA chose a 6-hour rental towards this impressive place, which is located only 10 Km from Karlovy Vary. We recommend everyone to visit this place, you won't regret it. Or if you want, you can use our travel services, have a local driver on your trip who will also be your guide and you will learn much more. Travel with us and discover the wonderful places of Europe.

Absolutely amazing castle to visit. Even self-guided tour was great, so many areas are open to visitors, including parts of Roman rotunda that was hidden in staircase. The prison area is very realistically done, mannequins staged in cells to demonstrate gruesome torture devices (avoid if you are sensitive). History is explained, though there is room for improvement in making it more visitor- friendly (like an audio tour for example). There were few interactive areas for kids
Remains of a castle complex built in the 12th century, with historical exhibits including weapons.
Czech people get more historical contexts on the signs. Other than that great place to see

We spent a short visit in this place and everything was very interesting to us. Located nearby the heart of the city and very easy to find out. When you are in Cheb, this attraction should be added into your list.
Ngoc Son Nguyen — Google review
It's a nice place to visit. Lots of information and views. If you have a dog, you can only walk on the grounds but not go inside the buildings.
I hated that they had a eagle and owl and I think a falcon or so sitting there all alone and bored on a tiny enclosure bound with a short leash. That's why I actually wouldn't visit again.
Sonja — Google review
A most impressive medieval castle with a small but very interesting museum of armaments and war machines,
Do not miss the mews where a few impressive birds (including a huge eagle owl) are kept.
Alexander Vainshtein — Google review
There are owls and other wild animals inside and it's disgusting. They should be free, not living there on a perch.
Had I known this, I wouldn't have paid the ticket to enter
Blanca Soriano Alonso — Google review
It is a nice castle to visit but better if you speak czech or german as it is mainly in those two languages. The view from the tower is really nice and I wish there would have been one from the mill. Price is ok for what you get to visit. And we were lucky as most of the constructions were not affecting the visit.
Amélie VILLE — Google review
This location was truly a gem to visit. Not knowing all of the history in Cheb, it was nice to go in and read the signs, and see the set up to their Hrad. The castle walls have stood the test of time.

It's not that expensive and totally worth it! There's discounts for seniors and students as well. (80 Kr for regular admission, 40 Kr Fr everyone else). You can go almost everywhere in the castle. The stairs in the tower are not wheelchair accessible, but you can get a great view of the city. I didn't see any toilets, which was kind of a bummer, but the castle probably didn't have indoor plumbing!

Iconic and yet very gorgeous colonnade which represents the whole Marienbad. It is very similar like Carlsbad colonnade and what is very cute, that u can feel, that it is feminine-like architecture in its form and architectural accent. It is not worse nor bad, it is simply Marienbad icon, which represents the character of this place. The only thing which is bit sad is the flooring, which should be reconstructed and changed to some marble, limestone or other much higher quality material that will last. But by the end of the day, still beautiful.

Nice place where you can sit and enjoy gas trimmer sound all day long.
The Singing Fountain, also known as Zpivajici Fontana, is a popular tourist attraction featuring over 250 water jets that dance to classical and popular music. Lit up after dark, the fountain offers seasonal displays with hourly performances throughout the day and evening. Built as part of the reconstruction of the Maxim Gorky Promenade in the 1980s, this architectural marvel was designed by Pavel Miksik and features specially composed music by Petr Hapka.
A very appropriate attraction for this amazing surroundings. Check showtimes before heading there.
Tomaz Justin — Google review
Really lovely experience. Performances on the hour apart from 8pm (20.00).
There was quite a crowd for the 21.00 show so get there about 15 mins earlier.
Would recommend the after dark shows.

Spectacular place, cold water, ideal for cooling in hot sunny day. Nice water show.
Michal Pol?k — Google review
Nice place to visit. Every hour plays a different classic composition with exception from Nothing else matters by Metallica. The fountain changes water patterns according to music and it is made very tastefully. You can sit in a coffee shop nearby and enjoy the show.
Jovan Jocovic — Google review
If playing pre-recorded music to a water fountain is a tourist attraction, my morning showers are worthy of a map pin. To be fair this visit was during daytime and there might be more to the spectacle at night with lights. For me, the most surprising aspect in visiting this fountain was the "reborn" meetup surrounding the outer fountain wall with proud collectors displaying their babies and vintage carriages, filling the space between the on-the-hour fountain event with photo opps galore.
Ken Habarta — Google review
Nice fountain with a very beautiful spectacle every hour: light and water tricks with classic music in the background. Super recommended.
Carlo Casu — Google review
Great place to visit, it plays every even hour and each day the music is shuffled so any time you visit it is a chance to hear something new. Try slow-mo mode on your phone for great results to remember.

(Translated by Google) The most worth seeing bridge in Amberg is the popularly called Stadtbrille. A water gate with a length of 46 meters was first mentioned in 1454 and bridges the Vils. Several renovations were carried out up to 1698. Since then, the bridge has had its current appearance. A great photo opportunity and certainly a must when visiting Amberg.

Family-friendly theme park with water rides & slides, roller coasters, go-karts & miniature golf.
Great place for kids aged 4-12.
The rides were really perfect for our 5 and 9 year old kids. Not too boring, not too scary, but a perfect fit.
Plus, there's two bumper car rides (in German: autoscooter). You don't have to pay and wait for the ride to start, but grab a car and join.
I also like the atmosphere in the park. It is a little bit older, but very attractive and down-to-earth.
Thorsten Hehn — Google review
A wonderful time with our Granddaughter. The entire park is made for everyone to enjoy. Rides for all ages included withing the entrance price. Wonderful walking paths or ride around the park on a park train. Enjoy the Flower Gardens and there are 2 BLACK SWANS for you to enjoy.
Dave American Mann — Google review
Nice park, suitable for 2-13 year old, however especially 6-10 year old children need to be accompanied still in most rides. The parks botanic is really beautiful, but somewhat unattended. The hygiene concept in this park is very questionable, with no disinfection possibilities other than at the toilets and "mandatory" adress registration folder laying unattended in the restaurants. Food prices are through the roof, so better be self-suppliant. There are better parks than this one.

We had a really good time with 2 kids in lovely summer day. You can spend here all day easily without waiting in a queue.
Food and drinks are quite expensive here.
If you are fed up with attractions you can hide in "Little Versailles" gardens.

One of the best amusement parks , especially for you family with 3yr old kid. All the rides are enjoyable. We visited on Monday and enjoyed fullest. Service is friendly. People can spend 3-5 hrs. Many kid friendly rides and designed for kids. Go for it if you go near by.
Update: 14May2022
3rd time in the park as we love it. But this time on a Saturday, the park is little busy. There is some waiting time for Dashing Cars, Go-cart, and water rafting ride. The Park closes at 5PM. Other rides are ok. So, don't go on weekend.

2020 - Nice, especially for kids under 12.
2022 - We was back this year and a little has changed. A lot of attractions are managed by young guys or girls: once they start the machines they keep on watching the celly phone instead of the kids, they even seem to be working. This happened a lot of times. To the owner: be careful of the security of your guests and take a look of the workers always playing with telephones.

Great park for kids up to about 10 to 12. There is a bit for every kid from sandpits and waterslides to a bobsled track and a wild water ride. It feels like a small family run place and it quite a few of the people operating the rides operate two or three of them at once walking from one to another.
It all feels kind of dated like time forgot about the place and that gives it a special charm.
If you have small kids and are in the area it most certainly is worth a visit on a nice summer day.

Medieval pilgrimage church housing an elaborately clothed Black Madonna statue from the 1300s.
The chapel Altötting is famous for!
Absolut „MUST SEE“ when visiting!
The atmosphere is very dark and heavy.
If you are sensitive, beware.
Inside, all the hearts of our Bavarian kings are preserved in ⚱️and displayed facing the altar with the BLACK MADONNA.
I recommend booking a tour guide, who will also lead you to the other highlights of Bavarian Pilgrimage, such as Tilly‘s mummy, Saint Konrads relics and other holy bones.

The miraculous shrine of the black Madonna and the oldest Maria shrine in germany, also refers to as Lourdes of Germany. honoured by the visit of two popes, many offerings (metal hearts, artifacts, portraits) are hanged on the walls. this is the center of Bavarian faith and truly a place of great beauty. A must visit.

This is truly a Marina jewel and the Marian heart of Bavaria, including the centuries old Gnadekapelle which is the centrally located and small, somewhat darkly lit (but a gorgeous candlelight type of dark!) chapel with the primary object of focus and now ancient Madonna and Child statue which has had an impressive number of miracles, both those proven and those not officially proven attributed to the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary to Jesus through it. I have 2 pictures of the the Grandekapelle and also others of the much larger Stiftspfarrkirche which stands adjacent to the Gnadekapelle. It is also simply exhilarating to stand in the Kapellplatz (Chapel Square) and take in the southern German views. The entire shrine has abundant areas within which to pray and reflect as well as opportunities nearby to do some Catholic religious goods shopping for devotional objects and holy souvenirs. I have now twice been here, and it is a peaceful and reflective experience. May your journey there be blessed!

Humble outside, story on story covers the archways. Inside a black and silver incarnation of catholic worship. But all in a size that brings god closer and does not distance the herd from the shepard, like in some pilgrimage spots...during off- season weekday late afternoon is a time to be able to get some comtemplation in front of the Virgin mother and her so'n the savior.

Tastings & Bavarian snacks conclude this 3-hour tour of a prominent brewery known for wheat beers.
I heard the tour (English) was great and really wanted to go! Sadly we missed our timeslot because all the Ubers in the Erding area didn't think our 10min drive was worth their time (they cancelled Uber job they had accepted!!!), and it was too late to walk or get a bus.
We are visiting from Australia and didn't have a working sim card to call a taxi, and also couldn't find one on the street to get us there.
Lesson for tourists - don't rely on Uber in this area! So annoyed, wasted our pre-paid tickets.
Catherine D — Google review
We had to book a German tour as there were no English dates available when we were in Munich. The tour guide seemed a bit annoyed that we didn't speak German event though we were not bothered as we just wanted to see the brewery. We thought there may have been a booklet or signs in English to read as the tour went along but there weren't, I think this would be beneficial for erdinger to do as they have very little English tour dates. The pretzels/beer/sausages at the end were good. The tour guide was asking us questions in German even though he knew we were English which was a bit annoying (he did speak English). I think maybe a beer menu would be good on the tables for people to look at. Disappointment the gift shop was closed as we would have spent money in there on merchandise. I'd do the tour again and would reommend it.

Amazing experience at an amazing brewery. Our tour guide was phenomenal - very informative and in very good English. The Weis wurst served at the end of the tour was the best I have ever had. In addition the openness to let us try as many and as much beer as we wanted was very amazing. I particularly loved the "Snow White" release for the unique flavor, but all of the beer was great. The attention to detail and quality each step of the process at Erdinger was incredible to see. Fortunately I can buy several of the releases in Texas and will be enjoying them.

For 17€ (booking online at the ERDINGER webpage) you can have a Top Brewery tour. It takes around 3 hours including the beer tasting and the typical Bavarian meal. A few meters from the restaurant you can buy souvenirs at the Gift Shop where they have som quality products and at fair prices. Ive taken other tours (20€-40€) here in Munich but this one is TOTALLY worth it! Staff is welcoming and friendly. Book in advance though cause tickets sell out really fast. They have a good variety of beers and they are delicious. They have Vegeterian option for the meal and Alcohol free drinks. You are allowed to take photos and see their Bottling system. Enjoy!

Queues were managed really well and there was never a huge wait for anything. Getting in was easy but security was also thorough which is good. The bag drop process was really smooth and quick, both upon entry and leaving.
Staff were super friendly and spoke many different languages to cater to all.
The food was gorgeous and the prices were reasonable for stadium prices. Will definitely visit again!

I took the tour and then went into the museum. As a football fan I had always wanted to go to this stadium. The guide was very clear, he took us to the most important places, and answered every question that people did. The experience was great, however as they were fixing/preparing the grass, it was impossible to appreciate the soccer field in a 100%. I recommend to visit it during the season, and during the afternoon/night, when the stadium coverage is on (mainly red).

A must visit if you are visiting Munich. Will advise to buy tickets in advance if you want to see full Arena in tour. Very amazingly made. All facilities are worth seeing. We missed seeing the night when the Arena gets lit up but still we enjoyed seeing it. A must must visit for sure.

From the outside it's quite underwhelming and feels like a deserted place with dirt and dust flying around the premises. But from the inside it is really good. It's nice for a first time visit( including the stadium). I went on a non match day so probably the experience would be different on a match day with a lively crowd.

Great stadium. The tour and museum are fantastic full of history. Tickets aren't too expensive really great value. Definitely recommend a visit when visiting Munich

It's a legendary place, we just wanted to enter the stadium and see it, but the packages are not only entered into the stadium; There are only two museum tours or museum+stada entrance. I can't say that the prices are extremely affordable, but when we went, they were on sale sometimes, but beware, they may be closed on some days. Other than that it's beautiful.

Good location just next to U6 subway but also not a lot around as a city, such as touristic activities. Most people visit here and that's all that's around the area (compared to many other parts of Munich city).
Entry fee isn't bad, and there's a museum to explore and appreciate trophies, or even buy a jersey.
Not a bad experience but niether great except you're here as football enthusiast.

Amazing stadium, the entirety of the place is truly great, from the U-bahn station created solely for the stadium, the views. Every part of it is amazing, the tour through the inside was great and being able to have a little more insight on what the players see before a match is amazing.

Good overall, the stadium is a little lacking compared to others I've done. Be good if you're a die hard but think the museum is worth it. Very easy to get to and back into the city thanks you the great rail network of Munich

Before the game ⚽, a trip to the Paulaner Fantreff is an absolute must.
The folders and service staff were very friendly and helpful.
We were absolutely thrilled! The game was fantastic took a little time to upload the review 😐. So sorry for that.

Always like to see a place like this. Even I came quite late for the tour and outside was nearly to a heavy storm but no doubt that this place is great to visit.
Definitely one more reason why to come back and enjoy the atmosphere of full stadium during a game. Even as a fan of different club that will be a great experience to see it on my own💪

Amazing stadium and an awesome experience with the tour guide!
The stadium is just stunning and the museum speaks volumes of the achievements of Bayern Munich over the years.
Definitely recommend for a football (or a non football fan 😋) to visit the stadium with the tour.

A really great experience for all soccer lovers. We got a guided tour of the stadium that gives you access to places like players locker room, the court and the players bench.
The museum is rich with information and trophies (a lot of these!)
The kids had a great time.
The tour is very affordable !

Best stadium in the world. Home of the best team ever.
Also, the food at the stadium is pretty decent. In other countries stadium food quality is bad and could even make you sick, but here it's really nice. Also they have the bistro and the fantreffen. Fantreffen is very fun. Definitely recommend staying after the game and enjoying the fan atmosphere

Easily one of the best stadiums I have visited! So modern and so unique! I unfortunately didn’t catch a game here but the tour of the arena and museum were fantastic I highly recommend it even if you are not a football fan!

During our visit to the Alianz Arena and FC Bayern museum, we couldn't help but notice a pile of trash right at the entrance from the parking lot. It was a bit off-putting, considering the reputation of the venue. Additionally, after purchasing our tickets, we encountered a challenge as there was no one available to provide further information in English. This language barrier was a bit frustrating.
On a positive note, the stadium itself was impressive, and the museum offered a decent experience. However, there was something lacking in the overall atmosphere. Perhaps more friendly and smiling faces among the staff or additional elements to enhance the visitor experience would have made a significant difference. In the end, the visit fell short of our expectations, leaving room for improvement in certain aspects of the overall environment.

What a beautiful stadium! It’s a short walk from the U6 subway line and you can pretty much follow the crowd to and from the game.
The stadium looks great in the sunlight and lit up in red lights when it gets darker too. Entry was easy, although they were a bit rude to my fiancée because she doesn’t look German.
Food and drinks were reasonably priced, but the servers didn’t know how to count. I had a boy who definitely looked under 18 serve me a small beer and two punsches for 20.50 EUR when I ordered a 1L beer and 2 punsches for (10+4.50+4.50) = 19 EUR. He wanted to charge me more to get the correct size beer and couldn’t count without pushing buttons on the till. I’ll have to dispute the credit card transaction because the crowd pushed me aside so I couldn’t draw it out any longer and the boy really didn’t care he overcharged me by 6.50 EUR (small beer).
The actual game had a great view from everywhere, the beer tasted good, big pretzels, punch and bratwursts too. The overcharged experience and rude staff (plus crowd) sours it a bit though.

Beautiful stadium with modern structure. Toilet may be too small for amount of people and the volume of beer sold there.. during interval basically the queue is impressive long.. but anyway is a nice place to have fun!

The Allianz Arena, home to Bayern Munich, is not only a football enthusiast's dream but also a family-friendly destination. With its captivating exterior and engaging guided tours, my kids loved exploring the stadium. The illuminated panels and vibrant atmosphere added an extra layer of excitement to the visit, making it a memorable experience for the whole family.

Fantastic modern football stadium! We did the stadium tour which was a bit rushed and fast, but very interesting and also visited the museum which is amazing and a testament to Bayern history and glory and ended our visit at their gigantic store, its a bit expensive, but I did managed to grab at least a Bayern scarf as a souvenir :)
Its good to note that its very far from the city and there are no taxi spots there... so you have to ask the tickets staff to order a taxi for you...

The English Garden is an expansive urban park in Munich, constructed in the 18th century. Spanning a vast area of 375 hectares (927 acres), it offers a multitude of activities for visitors to enjoy throughout the year. Surrounded by several neighborhoods and running alongside the river, this park boasts an impressive network of 78km (50 miles) cycling and jogging trails. Its natural beauty is enhanced by carefully designed landscapes, providing both excitement and comfort to visitors.
This place is just wow, scenic place with lot of places to admire the nature.
You can either walk, cycle inside the park, kids will. Enjoy the vast open space to play.
There is a place at entrance where people surf on the water flow.
You need at least half day to roam around the Garden to enjoy it completely

The Englischer Garden in Munich is very similar to Central Park in the United States and Stanley Park in Vancouver. It is very large, and walking or exercising here is very comfortable. I recommend that everyone who visits Munich should come and see it, especially since there don’t seem to be many places to visit in Munich.

Huge, close to town, and beautiful. You can swim, enjoy a crate of beer there, sunbathe, even surf. It does get very crowded on summer afternoons, so perhaps come in the morning from April-August. There’s plenty of shade by the sides and a couple of beer gardens for a bite and a drink. Police regularly has a presence in the area.

During summer is full of people and you can do many activities there. To play volleyball you need your own nett but eventually you also can ask to join others team. You can swim and do the famous and traditional jump from the bridge at Isar. I always go with my friends, but sometimes after work I go there just to relax, feel some sun and read my book.

I love to be close to water, and there is a river where people surf, there are many ducks. I spent a while taking pictures and videos. If you continue walking along the river you will see place where one can buy food and drinks, that was nice, I needed warm drink. Next time would walk further to the other side.

Definitely a park to visit when in Munich. The English garden is very peaceful, there are many walking trails, places to sit and have a picnic or stop at the Chinese Tower where you can purchase delicious food and drinks. Don't miss the area where the river surfing 🌊 takes place. Usually 10 or more surfers line up to get their turn. All ages, young and old! We were here at the end of September 2023. Beautiful weather and really enjoyed our stroll though the park. There are maps to help you not get lost, as the park is quite large. Many tours go to the English garden, biking tours, walking tours and we ever saw horseback riding (but not sure if that was a tour). Most of the trails we were on were paved and wide. Enjoy!

This may have actually been my favorite place in Munich. Right in the middle of the city is a huge park. Luckily our hotel was right next to the park. I went for a run and/or walk every day in the park. There are so many trails that only was able to get to a small portion of the park, but it seemed very safe and it was so green with lots of rivers, streams, lakes and ponds. There are also Reataurants/Beer gardens spread throughout the park.

An amazing park in the heart of Munich.

There are different section in this park and even you can pass by bus as well.
Munich Residenz is a grand complex consisting of palaces, buildings, and gardens that house state-owned museums. It showcases original interiors and artworks. In Munich, there are occasional markets that are worth visiting, especially on sunny Saturday mornings. The flea markets in the city stand out as private citizens sell their unwanted goods with little commercial interest.
By far one of my favorite activities during our entire vacation. The history that the palace held was amazing and the way the tour was presented kept me excited for each room. I paid for the audio guide and really enjoyed the explanations on the guide. A tip for those using an audio guide would be to bring a pair of headphones you can plug in to the guide so you don’t have to hold it up to your ear. I highly recommend setting aside time for stopping and exploring! Be sure to arrive with plenty of time before closing. They do not allow entry one hour before closing.

If you've got plenty of free time, it's a good visit. If you've only got 48 hours in the city though, you won't be missing out by not going. There's a lot of rooms there and some are incredible, but a large section of it just feels like a huge empty building. Towards the end there's a lot of objects to see but for a large part it feels un-lived-in as opposed to being preserved from the time it was lived in. Most of the staff seem annoyed by tourists, which is slightly inconvenient seen as its a tourist destination. On the plus side though, there are some incredible rooms and the surrounding area is beautiful, historic and worth seeing. Finally the German guy born to Italian parents working in the ticket booth was great, super helpful and really friendly.

Very grand, very big, and very worth the visit.
We came a couple of hours before close on a Sunday, and had to wait in line for 15-20 minutes to buy tickets. They have free audio guides as well as a coat check.
The space is massive - they have an option for the Full Tour and a shortened version. We visited at the end our day and we're exhausted, so we raced through the full tour in a little over an hour, but expect to spend 2-3 hours in just the museum to really appreciate everything and listen to the audio tour.

The biggest and the most worthy to visit city Palace in Germany. Plan for at least half a day to visit using audio-guide and enjoy walking at your pace throug more than 100 rooms, full of art and history. You can admire a mixture of styles, from renaissance to baroque and rococo.

For ~ 9 € you can enter and see by yourself the greatness of this huge palace. This place was used as residence for bavarian monarch from ~ 1385 to 1918. You can also use a guide your (very useful) but almost all rooms also have the explanation written. It’s very nice to observe all the architecture and history/ representation behind the paintings in the walls and ceilings.
Although this place has A LOT of rooms, so keep in mind this tour is very tiresome (kids may be bored) and lasts something like 2.5h. There you be a “short” path and a “long” one as you are visiting, you choose.

Surrounding area is very nice with big open space (park-like), also there are some theaters near by.
I wanted to really explore this historic place so it was very nice. It’s a really long tour so if you’re planning to visit, please make sure to have comfortable shoes and bring some water. Toilet facilities were fine and clean but there was no place to get water and after the tour I was really dehydrated. It was a warm day so it was pretty difficult for me after 2-3 hours of tour.

Worth the price (I paid 10 euros)!
Just have in mind that the place is 95% restored and you will see very little of original spaces.
You can choose to take the long (2-3 hours) or short (1 hour) path inside the Residenz.
You can walk in your own pace and don’t need to follow a group. Audio guide is an option.

Very cool place to explore. It’s not as ‘grand’ as for example, the palace of Versailles, but it sure has its charm and some very interesting stories to tell. An interesting building, but overall a bit of a letdown. I would not queue for entry. It took us about an hour to go through the whole place, the audio guide was far too detailed to be interesting so we ended up not listening to anything beyond the first few rooms. The audio guide is free and available in many languages.
We visited at 3pm on Wednesday in December and there was no queue.

What a lot to take in! We started with the treasury and I’m glad we did. The residence became overwhelming with so much to look at. They say 45 minutes. I think 2-3 hours.
Thankfully there weren’t many people making it more enjoyable.

A very impressive palatial residence in the centre of Munich. Entry is €10 and it takes a couple of hours to go round, more if you listen to the audioguide in every room (available free in multiple languages). There are also signs in German and English with a brief description of each room. Every room is ornately decorated, but it does become a little bit samey after a while. Worth the money, but it's good not great.
The New Town Hall in Munich, Germany, is a neo-Gothic masterpiece with a towering tower and famous clock chiming. It's one of the city's most famous landmarks and is well worth a visit for its architecture alone.
Marienplatz is the heart of the city, the square was created in 1158. The new town hall is one of the most beautiful buildings in Germany, built in 41 years and completed in 1908 in its main tower houses a large carillon that plays at 11:00 - 12:00 - 21:00 and in summer also at 17:00. In its courtyard there is a restaurant.

New Town Hall at Marienplatz of Munich Old Town
Visited on 22/9/2019
The New Town Hall is the seat of the city’s government and hosts the city council, offices of the mayors and a small portion of the administration.
This Gothic architectural design is just magnificent. The main facade is placed toward the very busy plaza, the Marienplatz.
We are enchanted by the giant mechanical, working clock known as the Rathaus-Glockenspiel, which spins and moves and tells two different stories, high above in the tower, with life-size wooden figures.

Munich's New Town Hall (Neues Rathaus) is more than just a government structure; it is a Neo-Gothic masterpiece that dominates the northern side of Marienplatz, the city center. As you approach the New Town Hall, prepare to be taken aback by its enormous grandeur and detailed details. The 100-meter-long facade is a visual feast, with sculptures reflecting Bavarian history from the city's inception to the Wittelsbach dynasty. Don't miss the spectacular clock tower, which stands 85 meters tall and provides breathtaking panoramic views of Munich (elevator access provided).
Whether you're interested in architecture, history, or simply enjoying the lively ambiance of Marienplatz, the New Town Hall is a must-see.

The New Town Hall is a wonderful piece of neo-gothic architecture. However, expect crowds to gather outside (Marienplatz) at 11 and 12 (noon), when the clock bell tower rings out, with mini figurines acting out a small play. Entertaining to see. Lasts about 5 minutes.

Beautiful 150 years old structure
Located in the heart of Marineplatz.. old area of Munich.
This structure belongs to the rulers of old Bavarian state. Statues and carvings arts are worth watching. Unfortunately it is too difficult to capture the whole building in a single shot. As it is a huge structure and there is not enough space to capture this entre structure without a Panoramic picture.

Beautiful town hall, it is built in the neo-Gothic style at the end of the 19th century.
At Marienplatz in the center, which is definitely worth seeing ... there is a carillon, which we just happened to see at noon and it was beautiful. There is also a sightseeing tour here and this tour and the whole town hall can be seen beautifully from the opposite lookout tower 'Alter Peter'.
At 11:00, 12:00 and 17:00 mechanical figures circle the clock tower

Amazing, historic building at the center of München. Sofisticated sculptures on the wall are the most interesting things. This town hall endured the WWII, and that's why you can find some parts of the building that became black. It's the result of bombing. Anyway, the building and the square in front of it were lively with people. Also there are some good restaurants and other tourist destinations nearby.

The neo-gothic town hall built in the early 1900's is the symbol of Munich. an 85 m height Tower with 6 euros entrance to let you see the whole city with panoramic view from above. the many external sculptures and of course the famous glockenspiel are among other things that this hall will let you witness in a journey back time.
when you enter you will see also an old restaurant with great Bavarian beer and food.

Definitely worth visiting! The student ticket to go up to the tower costs 5.5€ for students and you take the elevator. Gorgeous view, beautiful building on the inside! Totally recommend it!
Marienplatz, the vibrant heart of Munich, serves as a central gathering place for locals and tourists alike. This city-center square and transport hub is home to St. Peter's church, two town halls, and a toy museum. It is renowned for its iconic New Town Hall and the Mariensaule column dedicated to St. Mary.
A great location in Munich with countless places to shop, eat, and relax. The central square is also so large and distinct that it’s a helpful landmark for those of us visiting from out of country, and for meeting up with friends. The architecture is beautiful. The atmosphere is bustling. We had some great times, and great food here.
Overall: key location and we will return when we are next in Munich.

An amazing clock tower with so much ornate detail. It was very busy even on Monday, I would recommend you go on a weekday. The clock rings 3 times a day in the summer. 2 in the winter. Amazing sight to see nonetheless.

A nice central plaza that lies in the heart if the city connecting between its main streets and shopping malls. You can sit there for the whole day enjoying the traditional bakery and watching the freelancer artists doing their musical performance. Got money to waste ? You can do all your shopping from the near by shops. Apple is by the corner😍.

Main square. Very beautiful architecture, with non-standard design of balconies and stained glass windows. Each part of the buildings is unique in its own way. When you stand on this square, you temporarily forget that today is the 21st century - the surrounding environment takes you to the Middle Ages, the time of knights. This square is truly the historical center of Munich.

A perfect place that offers many different options to enjoy a nice beer in the outdoors. Very beautiful place. To enjoy it the most i would suggest to visit it during the sunrise on a weekday when there are no crowds of people since it's extremely popular. Fantastic architecture, literally must visit for every tourist in Munich.

The old city center of Munich is a place you can sit, stand, watch for hours with ornate detail and people watching.
Sadly we missed the final Glockenspiel show of the day (17:00) but there were plenty of other bells to enjoy throughout the hour.

This place is incredible, you could stare at this building all day and still not see all the details. We went back to see the glockenspiel, at 5pm. The building could not be any more impressive. The performances in the square were entertaining too. It's definitely a spot you don't want to miss if you are in Munich. The train will take you directly there if you aren't in walking distance. There are many restaurants and shops nearby.

This town square is a must visit in Munich. The architecture is simply gorgeous, with its unique balconies and windows designs/colors. There are many street stalls selling foods and drinks, souvenirs and branded stuff. Also, numerous street artists were performing when we were there. This further adds to the colorfulness and character of the area. The design makes us forget that we are in the modern days and takes us back to many centuries ago.
There are lots to see, shop, eats for every taste and individual, from beer markets to restaurants. Our family of 4 enjoyed ourselves thoroughly here. Pity we were here on a day trip only. Will come back if we have the chance.

Beautiful place, crowded but lots of shops and pigeons. I recommend visiting. The glockenspiel show isn't anything impressive. I recommend taking the elevator for a few euro up the town hall and seeing a view of Munich.

The square serves as the heart of the city, bustling with activity and surrounded by historic landmarks.
The centerpiece of Marienplatz is the awe-inspiring New Town Hall. Its towering spires and intricate Gothic design took my breath away. Watching the famous Glockenspiel come to life was a true delight.
The square is filled with charming shops, cafes, and restaurants that lined its edges. From traditional Bavarian clothing stores to contemporary boutiques, there was something for every taste.
Marienplatz square in Munich truly captured the essence of the city. Its historic charm, lively atmosphere, and central location make it an absolute must-visit. Whether you're a history buff, a shopaholic, a food enthusiast, or simply seeking an authentic Bavarian experience, Marienplatz square has it all.

Heart of the Munich City. Every person visiting this beautiful city must have visited or passed through the Marienplatz.. city center of Munich. Most of the household items and all the shops are found here. Always a crowded place. It is definitely a safe place even though it's crowded. People are nice, they just care their own business. Place for all the young people to vibe around and spend nice time with the closed ones. Great place to pass time. Looks very beautiful during the spring 🌼 and summer 🌞⛱️ season. Nice tulips flowers 🌺🌹 are planted in this place.. everyday show time for the bell ringing amazes people and keeps them wait there and watch the show for few minutes.. no tickets and entrance fee are required. A lot of souvenir shops are found in this place .. highfi city area. Have fun visiting Munich Marienplatz.

A nice place in the center of city with beautiful and amazing central location in Munich. The architecture is beautifully done. the central square is spacious and you can have a walk around old historical buildings as well as observe monuments around. They worth taking pictures of.
The main reason people love to visit here is its atmosphere at the time of ticking clock tower with dancing dolls. It has couple of very tall towers from where you can have breathtaking views of Munich city.
It’s a crowded place because main shopping street next to it. A lots of shopping stores, cafes & restaurants around for quick shopping or grabbing a quick bite.
Don’t drive there because parking is bite far but best traveling by subway. If you are planning to visit Munich, this place is a must visit.

It's an absolutely beautiful building. The clock tower rings out, high above the other buildings and through the streets. The figures dance around on a carousel. There are statues and dragons and works of stone from a very long time ago. Many people gather around, taking photos and videos as it chimes. Inside has some interesting features, like gargoyles and spiral staircase, more statues and some doors to walk through. Check it out.
The St. Peter's Church in Munich is one of the oldest churches in the city, dating back to the 12th century. It is a popular tourist destination due to its location next to Isartor and its free entry.
Now in Germany, traveling around places to see 😉😘
St. Peter's Church is a beautiful church in central old town part of Munich with lots of shops and restaurants around.Besides the 14 stations of the Cross images, alongside them also presents the miraculous birth of Christ. Truly interesting and astounding. Definitely worth a visit or prayer in it.

Definitely one of the most beautiful churches in the city. She is very beautiful both externally and internally. Absolutely recommended to climb the tower of the Church, from which, after taking several steps, you can see the whole city from above. Adults: 5€; under 18 and students: 2€

St. Peter's Church in Munich is a cultural gem nestled in the heart of the city, boasting a rich tapestry of history, art, and spirituality. From the moment you step inside, you're enveloped in a sense of tranquility, with the soft light filtering through magnificent stained glass windows casting colorful hues across the interior. The church's architecture is a testament to Bavarian Baroque style, with ornate details and intricate frescoes adorning every corner.
One of the highlights of visiting St. Peter's is the opportunity to climb the tower, offering panoramic views of Munich's skyline. As you ascend the narrow staircase, each step feels like a journey through time, with glimpses of the city's past visible through the tower's windows. The effort is rewarded at the top, where you're greeted with a breathtaking vista stretching out before you, from the iconic red rooftops to the majestic Alps in the distance.
Whether you're a history buff, an art enthusiast, or simply seeking a moment of quiet contemplation, St. Peter's Church is a must-visit destination in Munich. Its timeless beauty and spiritual resonance make it a truly unforgettable experience for visitors of all backgrounds.

A must do in Munich! The views were great and super cool to see the city center from this view! Got some great pictures. Climbing up was difficult no matter what type of shape you’re in and cheap at only 5 euros

The entrance to the tower is OUTSIDE the front part of the church. Magnets are also available. The cost to go up is 5euro(2023.03).
The view towards the square down is amazing. The 360 itself is not so much if you're not sure what to look for. The up might be tough if you have hard time with stairs. There are a lot of stairs there!
A very tourist friendly church. Many leaflets you can take for some cents. Good inner decoration.
The skeleton behind the glass was kind of smaller than expected and has so much support it looks a bit strange rather than scary or impressive. Still a must visit!

Nice church. Among buildings that you can pay to climb up to top for look out, i do prefer to pay 5euro for this church rather than other ones. You can see New Hall Tower, Mary’s Square,… much better view.
Do recommend!

You pay 5 euros for the entrance to the tower, and go by stairs ~10 min, but it's worth it.

You can see the whole Munich. There are 15 floors, 300 steps,56meter and there’s no elevator. you not only have an excellent view of the Frauenkirche towers and the old town, but you might even see the Alps if the weather is good.
Mert — Google review
The view from St. Peter’s Church is definitely worth the effort, but be prepared for a long climb up 14 stories of narrow stairs. You may have to wait a bit to let people coming down pass by. Once you’re at the top, you’re rewarded with a stunning 360-degree view of Munich, although it’s somewhat marred by metal protective bars. I visited during the autumn season at night and found the experience somewhat underwhelming; the view is nice, but not extraordinary in the evening light. I’d recommend visiting during the day for the best experience.
You can buy the tickets directly from there at the entrance, 5€
Marc El Asmar — Google review
Panoramic view from up there is mind blowing. You have chance to see every single building you have visited in Munchen from up there! It is not as hard as it seems at the start! The staircases widen and there are spaces between floors to rest, tho you probably won't need it as it's only 14 floor climb. If you happen to climb during sunset, then you get even more out of it.
Saba Bokuchava — Google review
Went there on Ascention day morning. Beautiful alter with painted ceilings. Going up the tower to have a view of Munich was worth it. There are about 300 narrow stairs to climb and 5 euro for ticket, but best thing I did in the city.

Lovely church with nice frescoes on the ceiling depicting several Biblical characters. In particular, a statue of each Apostle, Holy Mary and Jesus (was covered as it was Easter) can be appreciated along the main isle which gave this church a unique feeling. A visit to the church's tower is a must for the best views of Munich city center.

Unfortunately from the inside it really is an ordinary, average church - it's okay, but probably nothing to vow you, apart from the tower. Entrance to the church is free, you need to pay for the tower.

Climbing St. Peter’s Tower was a fantastic decision for me. The panoramic views of the city were absolutely stunning and made the €5 ticket price well worth it. However, if you’re afraid of heights, it’s worth noting that the tower offers a clear view down, so you might want to consider that before going up. Overall, a must-visit for anyone wanting to take in the beautiful views of Munich!
The German Museum of Masterpieces of Science and Technology is a vast museum that showcases original artifacts and interactive displays on energy, transportation, and astronomy. It holds the title of being the largest technology museum globally, spanning over 50,000 square meters and exhibiting around 28,000 objects. The museum offers a unique experience as it combines traditional exhibits with hands-on activities such as demonstrations, experiments, and media stations. Visitors can engage with various subjects ranging from agriculture to photography to space technology.
We worked our way through the museum, from the top floor (space) down to the basement (mining), and it is clear where the museum has spent money and where it is in sad need of attention. This is a very big museum where you can spend more than 1 day if you wanted to! The museum has thousands of objects on display, all aimed at science and technology. It includes several different floors and different themes throughout the building. Totally recommended if you’re into science or technology related things!

The amount of detail that is put into this place is amazing. You can find out anything about technology, from microchips, cameras/photography, to modern stuff like robotics and space shuttles. I would suggest arming yourself with a bag of popcorn, a big cola, 6 hours of free time and a lot of patience to have a great experience.

Really cool place of you love engineering. It os a very visual experience and there are a lot of things to explain here. It doesn't feel like it is a place dedicated for kids so adults can also have fun in their knowledge exploration. There is a lot of information and it is really well designed but I strongly recommend choosing a section sticking to it and enjoy on part of the museum as there is too much to see. Each section really delves into details and it will be impossible to grasp everything in one go.

This is a really cool museum with plenty to see, also a very big variation. Everything from airplanes to harvest equipment. A very interesting museum, but it is very crowded usually with a lot of school classes visiting it and generally a very long queue to the entrance, but if you are interested in technology it is totally worth the waiting time.

Best science museum in the world.
Magnificently curated with diversity of topics, but most of them treated with a great deal of thoroughness.

The Deutsches Museum is a treasure for all science lovers. Exhibits cover almost all areas of science such as Robotics, Aerospace, Electronics, Maths, etc. They also organize workshops and demos so that visitors can get a hands on experience. Plenty of washrooms too.

There's a lot of expositions where you can interact with it, and for me that's a most have for a museum about technology.
The price is a little bit expensive (14 euros for adults) but there are some discounts ( 4,5 euros for students).
What confuses me is that the minimum payment by credit card is 20 euros... That's really not convenient for tourists

All about science. The museum is a super cool place for people of all ages, kids and adults alike, really interactive, interdisciplinarily informative and overall a worthy experience for science lovers. To explore everything in details one may spend a whole day there, but normally about 4 hours is already pretty overwhelming. One thing to improve is the info screens that do not always work, as the videos do not play. Clean toilets and overall high accessibility.

Possibly the best museum I have ever been to. Ranging from aircraft to an entire section on suspension bridges. As well as model railways, scientific discoveries, musical instruments — you name it. You definitely need a full day to see it all — if not multiple days! I particularly liked how the pendulum from the outside clock tower hangs all the way down the central staircase to the ground floor, where you can watch it swinging.

As the bigger part of the museum is under renovation until 2028, there is a new part of the museum that is still accessible. The ticket costs 15€. I loved the quantum physics section, satellites, and optical instruments. Other sections are bridges, farming, medicine and musical instruments. More sections such as microbiology are still under construction. Can easily spend 4 hours here. Not suitable for children as the topics are quite complicated.

Chimsee - „Bavarian See” with monastic site from 8th century. Perfect for watersport, leisure and maniacs of history.
The Herrenchiemsee New Palace is a grand structure located on the island of Herreninsel in Bavaria. Built in 1878 and modeled after the Versailles palace, it was created as a tribute to absolutist monarchy. Ludwig II, its founder, spent very little time here and made it more as an expression of his romantic ideas and imagination than as a residence. The palace's design reflects Ludwigs' obsessions with romanticism while being typical of his creations.
It was a very beautiful environment, quiet nomatter the population.

You can take your boat to reach the destination and enjoy the scenic view of a dream house and the islands inside the lake. Once you reach the castle don't get astounded by the beautiful sculptures and exquisite rooms built by King Ludwig 2. ✨✨✨Cheimsee!!!! AKA…”The Bavarian Sea” …a really amazing surprize to find a truly enormous and lovely lake in the middle of that beautiful mountainous region…so nice to take a hike along its shores…whether in summer …or mid winter as the attached photo of me depicts…always so nice to take a ferry to visit the astounding and gorgeous HERRENCHIEMSEE PALACE…situated on an isle within the lake …commissioned and built by Ludwig of Bavaria …it gives Versailles ( apparently in some ways its inspiration) a run for its money …note when in this beautiful hood…makes sense to take a side trip to also see the fabulous NEU SCHWANSTEIN ( the inspiration for the Walt Disney castle btw)…yet another simply fabulous structure that Ludwig built …and which now continues to delight and amaze all who visit 💯🙏🏻👍🏻☺️✨✨✨
Remember it's a CASH ONLY place.
They don't accept Debit or credit cards.
But the service was quick.
There are basically two kind of Tour one can take using these boats, East and West direction. Most popular being W forest direction tour as it allows you to visit Herrenchiemsee , Gstadt and Fraueninsel.

I visited Chiemsee Lake, that is a beautiful lake located in Bavaria, Germany. It's often referred to as the "Bavarian Sea" due to its size and popularity among tourists and locals alike. The lake is surrounded by picturesque landscapes and is home to two islands, Herreninsel and Fraueninsel, both of which are accessible by boat and offer attractions such as historic palaces and monasteries.

a well organised boat comoany, trips around the island every 30min. covered on the top from sun heat, restaurant inside the boats with reasonable prices and the trip is with 14.5€ combined with the train ticket to the shores.
the view from the Boat around the bavarian island is something from another level.

This is a beautiful spot. The scenery is simply stunning. This lake is an awesome place to visit. There is a veil of bucolic idyll that covers the whole place. It is an incredibly picturesque sight. Should you be in the area, definitely make a visit to the lake a top priority. There is a regular ferry service and there are plenty of places where you can go hiking or cycling. Definitely, a must visit destination!

Not 5 stars because the staff speaks only german when they make an anounce with the speaker.
That’s why we didn’t understand and make us a mistake that costs 1h35 !!!
Not 100% happy but it was a pleasure.

We had a wonderful day at the Chiemsee - and on the Chiemsee. We used the boats of Chiemsee Schifffahrt Feßler to do a boat tour from Prien to Herreninsel and to Fraueninsel and back. The oldest boat originates from 1926. Although on a weekend together with numerous people, we didn't have to wait long and had a joyful cruise.

Boat tour at Chiemsee was very nice. Lots of things to see, need whole day
19th-century industrial saltworks featuring an underground grotto, a salt museum & a gift shop.
A great experience for any day of the year! It boasts a very detailed and rich history that you experience firsthand, and through the museum, at your own pace. They have handouts in different languages as well, including English. The air is also very fresh, the tour guides quite knowledgeable, and the scenery is one of a kind.

Educational excursion, historic building and fascinating mechanics and craftsmanship. Defines the history and economy of the town and region.
Anglophones can get a written explanation, but the tour was in German only. Steep stairs and wet floors are included, as is a museum, detailed marketing history and salt tasting.
Christine L — Google review
Not as big as the new saltworks, but full with history and felt more close to the whole process. Also, since there are no restrictions, people can get lost in the underground maze, which adds another dimension of fun to the visit!

Great place and nice employee, but i like more the salt mine in salzbergwerk, because theres a ride and a slide there
KrisPipes — Google review
Interesting guided tour (aprox. 45 - 60 minutes) in the old salt mine. It is possible to book the tickets in advanche. Be aware that you have to take some slippery steps. There is no elevator ;) wear shoes that may be get wet since there is some water on the floor. After the tour, it is possible to see the interesting exhibition.

The site is fascinating and totally worth visiting. The 1 star is for the guided tour that Isabella, though speaking a perfect English, could not care to give any explanation to non german speakers... sad...

Very impressive salt mining facility, some parts from 16th century. We have visited the museum with kids 4 and 9 years old and they managed ok. Tour guide goes every full our in the tunnels below Alte Saline. The museum rooms are at the end of the guided tour. At the cashier, there is a salt shop, they have all different flavours of kitchen salt and some bath salts.

Thoroughly enjoyable visit, amazing to see the machinery used for hundreds of years for the salt production still in working order .The building itself is beautiful. The tour was given by a German speaking guide, but provision of a written translation in English was great. Staff very helpful and the history of the salt production is very interesting
Fiona Corcoran — Google review
You should definitely visit. The tour of the museum is great. My guide didn't speak English but I still understood the workings of the salt works and the history of the place.
The chapel of St Rupertus, saint of salt miners, was closed but I enjoyed seeing the architecture and art.
The Predigtstuhlbahn is a historic cable car dating back to the 1920s, renowned for its elegant design and offering breathtaking views of the Alps during a short journey. Situated on the 1613 m high Predigtstuhl mountain in the Berchtesgadener Alps, it is one of Bad Reichenhall's local mountains.
50 euros per person, dont go early, nothing open at the top until lunchtime, beautiful views
Darren Francis — Google review
Well worth the trip. If u are a little uncertain with heights the cabin employee will support you. 49 euros for return is a bit pricey and we heard rumours it is to discourage mass tourism.
Two-Eyes Mckay — Google review
A very beautiful place. The views from the mountain are just amazing. But the ride up the mountain is very expensive. For that kind of money it would be possible to buy trailers better. The cabins are quite old, wooden and small. When lifting, everything creaks and is a little scary. At the top there is a very beautiful forest, good paths and a magnificent view of the mountains around.

The most wonderful experience we had on the new year's day in the Predigtstuhlbahn in Bad Reichenhall near Salzburg. Friendly people working there especially the nice lady at the tickets. We wish to all of them happy new year!
Ioannis Giannakoulias — Google review
A little expensive compared to some other tourist things but if it keeps the cable car going I am willing to pay.
Very nice views, lots of hiking trails at the top along with a cafe.
If you have a tourist card they won't give you a discount on the fare, but will give you a 2eu credit at the cafe.

Great experience and great way to get up the mountain to enjoy a stunning view. Many hiking options possible. I love the red, white cabins, they look like many years ago. Pricy pricy though

I’ll we really enjoyed the ride in the old cars!!! It was fun to ride and incredible views on the ride and up top. The trails are paved with rocks, so if you have hiking shoes, I’d wear them. I wore my tennis shoes and wasn’t as sure footed as I could have been. They have hiking poles you can borrow up top. We are at the little cafe and enjoyed good food and beautiful views.

Coming from the US, I thought it unique to be able to buy beer from a vending machine. And don't go when there is a wedding in the hotel. You won't be able to go on the terrace, nor the restaurant. :-(

(Translated by Google) Very nice as a half day trip. When the weather is nice you have a great view from Lake Chiemsee to the main ridge of the Alps. We have been up there many times, also because travel is free with the Chiemgau card. The steep journey with the gondola along the rocks is also an experience. At the top there is a viewing platform right next to the station. We also recommend hiking for 20 minutes to the actual summit.

Tegernsee is one of the most beautiful lakes and even places, I have ever seen and been to!!
Small lake and town near to Munich, less than 2 hours by car and also you can get there with train very comfortably, during pandamic all the shops in a small town are close but there are many small local shops for dining and decorative stuffs.
But we enjoy sightseeing, hiking, relaxing and we were lucky because it was sunny that day and it helped us to enjoy more.
Definitely I will come back and stay there for couple of days in hotel, one fay was not enough for me !!
